There was a little bit of excitement on the trip In that there is a six point two earthquake while i was on the big island so the earthquake happened. I think it was about twenty miles off the coast the island and it was under water And so there was some damage in different places. There is actually Shaking that reach honolulu and Some some Some trees that fell and and some tragic circumstances they are. I was when this happened. This is in the middle of the morning. I was at killilea the volcano which started erupting again last week. I was on the side of the volcano as basically on the backside of it between the volcano in the ocean basically where all the lava flows towards the ocean. That's where i was when this earthquake hit. And we're on this place where we're kind of exposed sheila winds and the winds are like kinda rocking the the car that we're in and my wife and i were sitting there. She's like an earthquake because like the car. Start shaking pretty violently and i was like nah. That's gotta be the wid. It was just a gust of wind. So that's how desensitized. I am to earthquakes after living in san francisco for twenty plus years is. I thought it wasn't even earthquake..

Either the face off so if they would give a it's almost like the The doesn't one where you have to name the top twenty five bar like facebook things so the guy would say was heisman trophy winners. In the one thousand nine hundred went back and forth back and forth the third. We split the first two. The third category was the detroit. Tigers nineteen eighty-four opening day lineup. Which i want. I got it. We went back and forth. I wanted so for a while. I would say that team. That's my second choice. I did like i at a saw spot for those yankees teams with ricky henderson. Willie randolph Yeah that group i liked. That group was kind of a weird. Because i had Wpa yeah we had the cable. So i had zoo which was weird. Poll bill white. It was the whole thing was strange. So i'd probably say the eighty four tigers in the eighty six yankees. I said the eighty six minutes but the eighty five. I think the best team never to win. Never make the playoffs with eighty-seven that's probably true. They boston the last day. Right to the tigers alexander tigers. Yes that's the year won the mvp here. Eighty seven was george batchelor bell right and people think trampled should the one. Yeah right. i mean had a better year. The team jimmy williams too. he wasn't obviously. We found out. It was not a great manager so that might have but still ninety. Six games iq eighty six. Mets might have been the best team to never win the world series if they if they had threats had coughed it up. Oh yeah me. Ask the best team in the eighty s. I think oh. I think that's probably well. The tigers were awfully good. Really good Best team in the. I mean the early eighties. I wouldn't count eighty one too weird. That oriels team was not great. Were not great. It was a last-gasp them was the mets second team lost the dodgers eighty-eight one hundred games associated with one hundred and sixty law. Strawberry win ninety one. The crazy thing is if you'd said to me in eighty six. I if you said to me in eighty six after the or after the mets won the world series. It'd be said to me that dwight gooden nordahl strawberry. We mean the hall of fame wouldn't recognize what language or speed. This first ballot. Three hundred wins six hundred home runs like people. Comparing the ted williams. Yeah actually had a really good career weirdly like he was an awesome yankee or he's a great game his look at his numbers..

This this ip the it's like the most meaningful gaming sort of ip to me personally but because it didn't catch on it was a disappointment. Not because the games no good Was quite champions. Don't talk to me about that in cuba to find someone to play good game not a great game. Good game or the of the quake name. There's no better name in gaming than quake but just such a disappointment that it doesn't have like one hundred million players that that would be my dream and unfortunately probably number one disappointment. That was more fun than what are we playing there. You kemp says wars. Nothing else is holding me on right now. I think that's a lot of people cam until the new battlefield. This is a lot of people. SOx beat episode. Two six, three to sixty three I had to do a little deep dive for this one Mike Andrus, impossible dream, rookie year, second Baseman, that sixty-seven Red Sox team. He had to sixty three eight own runs. Forty runs batted in eight year major, League career concluded with a brief stint for the seventy three world series champion as managed by the. The sixty seven red sox skipper Dick Williams phase. Two of Mike Andrews career began soon after that he hooked up with the Jimmy Fund with that around thirty years, speaking of Jimmy's Jimmy Williams managed the Red Sox and ninety nine managed him to close two hundred wins on. That team was a guy with a to sixty three era. Haha, twenty six year old right hander used exclusively in relief. Anyone anyone bueller. Derek Lowe that's right. Seventy four games at year fourteen more than any other pitcher he had fifteen saves ninety nine at forty, two the next year, and the year after that pushed into the rotation. How about twenty one wins at is a fascinating story ARC, and we'll have to table that for another podcast sometime that would be a long podcast one on Derek Loville. First of all the trade with varitek four HEATHCLIFF SLOCUM The other way would make that frozen face when things were starting to go wrong, all glassy, eyed and shell shocked, but he was a great setup man and ninety nine, great closer than it was an embattled closer Anna, twenty game winner and the thrower of hit her He was a major appointment. He was a major hero. Memory closed out the Oakland series so up so down a guy that fans gave up on a dozen times then embraced a dozen times. So that's a different podcast. We got things. "Is discriminating against people who are nervous. No. You know, it makes people go to Chick-fil-A more you've seen what happened to their sales numbers. Whenever there's more in the news about people saying, we gotta stop Chick-fil-A more people go, right? Well, because it's ridiculous to think that a chicken restaurant is out there just discriminating against gay people. Well, okay. So what's the popular narrative from Huffington Post and others like it? Well, if you really love LGBTQ people, you won't eat chick fillet, then don't they give money that support various Christian organizations, just like vox headline. Their charitable foundation kept donating to anti LGBTQ groups more than one point eight million to three groups with a history of anti LGBTQ discrimination. By the way, the three organizations which are the fellowship. Appreciate athletes, Paul Anderson, youth, home and the Salvation Army. Well, the Salvation Army those bigots. Who helped people during natural disasters and help the homeless in no way discriminate against people based on their sexuality. But yes, they do advocate a biblical view of homosexuality. We have freedom of religion Salvation Army. Where's red and has a very aggressive name? Well, I remember one time and that means violent. I saw them. I saw them one time helping tornado relief. And you know, they said here you go. Here's some free food and coffee for you on. What's your gay? Well, yeah. Well, come here. If you're gay whatever happened to the time where you just if you disagree with someone or you don't like some something someone does you don't go there. Why do we have to close it down? You know, what else is happening? This just makes me nuts. This is also happening. So for a while, you talk about there are a lot of Christian people in America, the people think, well, they're intolerant. It's like thirty five percent of people that say, I'm evangelical support same sex marriage. It's not the picture that some groups would have you believe at the same time. There are plenty in the gay community that think this sort of outrage is absolutely ridiculous. I've heard that. But the bullies a part of that group will not let that voice be heard. Yeah. I know there are a few writers out there. I think. Jimmy Williams is one of them who come out and say, you know, guys protesting Chick-fil-A and acting like lunatics like this is not a way to build allies because you just look like idiots and lunatics protesting, delicious chicken. Yeah. There's another story wanna get to real quick totally different story. But just funny to me on how sometimes you can switch the roles. This is one where a woman at the Atlantic rights of piece talking about how hot people are stressful. People who are perspiring. Now, we're talking about like very attractive all those kind of hot people. Yes. Okay. So you've heard this before like a beautiful woman walks by and a bunch of knuckle dragging dudes are watching her basically with their tongues out, you know, panting like a dog, right? What this woman is saying is well it can happen. The other way in it does. Sometimes I feel like I need some sort of warning ahead of time because I get this week need giddiness that you see some hot guy. And when you're not expecting it can really throw you off your game. Well, that's why I have a siren that goes off before I walk into any room. I don't wanna make too many knees. Weak. Because of the hotness. Yes. The other masculinity. Sure the unbridled passion. Yes. The beard along with the glasses. It's a level of roughness yet intelligence the AL's little bit of well, you've let your hair grow out now. So sort of an untamed wild man exactly that women can't resist from the van camp. Stor. Yes. An untamed wild, man. I liked that one. The wild, man. So it's raw sexuality straight out of the wilderness. Is it is? Oh my gosh. This is hilarious. But this woman is basically saying it's the stress that I feel and it's the cortisol in your brain. You can't be stopped that I wish I could almost get some sort of warning before it's the hot plumber or the hot lawyer that walks into the office or whoever it might be just absolutely cracking up on that at the same time. Did you hear the story about someone in a position of authority smitten with Brad Pitt and not heard this what she said about Brad Pitt? And if this was a a male in an authority position talking about some Hayek or somebody else would it be received the same. So you'll want to hear this audio. "Or debt free college. The answer has been we need to write a big check. And so if the issue is compensating, the descendants of slaves idol think that the argument about writing a big check ought to be the argument that you make if you're making an argument that are big check needs to rewritten a whole bunch of other stuff. Let me actually Jason. I Tiffany is that kind of an argument resonating on when you're talking with voters. Well, it does. It's funny. I Castro sort of explanations. I showed some of those to my students when he talks about reparations to degree to my Morgan state students are kind of small focus group they've been impressed. But I think what it also speaks to this the greatest weakness and Bernie Sanders campaign is his inability to connect with many African American voters, and I know people are going to scream and they're gonna be mad. But look at it a lot of his black staff twenty sixteen aren't back. He still doesn't poll well with African American voters in South Carolina. So if reparations a particular wedge issue. You can use to knock out one of the pillars of Bernie Sanders sort of current front runner status. That's what you're supposed to use. And I'll also say this. There are tons of people out there who have studied reparations the idea that Bernie keep saying I'm a revolutionary, but at the same time can't figure out how to do reparations than impressed me either. And I don't expect to get a check anytime soon PC or mentions day your mentioned, I'm ready bit out there. Us now. Biography really dog. That is Tiffany. See the way game of thrones is coming back, and you know, anything. Is there any the fight for the African American vote is real Elizabeth Warren writing a lot of case for it. You have Beddoe coming in who ran pretty strongly among African Americans in Texas. You have Bernie Sanders trying to repair biography of duty, and in Brooklyn is probably complicated because of all that happened like Howard beach in that era of the civil rights movement where he was not a part of it. Does anyone have kind of an inside track right now because you have comma Harrison Cory Booker in the race Cooley on Castro now going for it. Well, I think the question that black voters are asking is not how black are you? But how black are your policies, and the fact that people do have some questions about everybody from Cory Booker in Senator comma, Harris, I mean, it shows that black people are not homogeneous group. And if you've been under the impression that black voters this follow the black candidate that's proven to be not not the case this time around. So I think it's great that people have to work to get black voters and people have to, you know, we're separated geographically education buyer, education or socio economic status at cetera. Our interests are different. And I think who Leon Castro does not get enough attention. He's on he's on a great job of making his case, the minorities, including black and Hispanic, and I wish that he would get more attention across all the networks. All right. Jimmy and Tiffany will be bag. Jason Johnson is going to be creating a brand new Twitter profile. So that none of that are anchored on. For the week. All right. According to MBC news. This is the first time in US history that anew election has been called for a federal office because of election fraud that with Jimmy Williams and joining us Judd leg author and founder of popular dot info. And judd. This is pretty extraordinary because Mark Harris was defending himself all the way to the end. Their point appointed, which it wasn't clear even knew McRae. Dallas the person who perpetrated these frauds, and then his son got up on the stand. It all change. What happens now is he likely to run what happens, and is there going to be any remedy against him for this frog? I think he's very unlikely to run. And here's why there were his sons testimony you played a clip. It was extremely compelling and dramatic, and essentially he breaks down the idea that Harris had been talking about since the election that he didn't know anything about Dallas. Or the fact that Dallas was involved in legal activities because I was warning him not just for weeks. But for years that Dallas was trouble. But the real problem, and the reason why I think he may not run again is that he was also exposed the fact that he did not turn over to the investigators the emails that establish these conversations with his sons, and then was lying on the state under cross examination from the lawyer representing the democratic candidate, Dan McCreevy that he had told his younger son that he didn't expect those emails to come up, so sort of know ille- withholding information from the investigators. So I think the combination. Of all that it just looks too bad for him. I don't think Harris will run, although he hasn't indicated definitively their way. What you just for a second. Okay. So let's say he doesn't run. There's going to be Matthew Dunlap who used to sit on. He was main secretaries main secretary of state he served for while Donald Trump's fictional now defunct voter fraud commission, of course, about found voter fraud because it's haltingly rare. And he asks, where's the voter fraud crab, where are they the people who correct crime and people need Johns if people like John Smith vote in the same state of two people John Smith vote in the same state now, they don't have a lot to say, he points out. I mean, there are actual instances where people have gone to jail for even inadvertent acts of what they call voter fraud. There's a woman in Texas named crystal Mason who is serving five years in prison because she didn't know that felony conviction made her on ineligible to cast a ballot in two thousand sixteen by the way, people not being able to vote due to felony convictions is a vestige of the post civil war era designed to keep black people from exercising their rights under the thirteenth amendment. So the idea that that ladies in prison this. This guy is lying about emails is associated with somebody now known to have perpetrated real election fraud. He's not illegal jeopardy. Oh, I think he using legal jeopardy. I mean, there was a report out last night that the state investigators have subpoena the phone records and emails doubtless. So obviously any communications between Dallas and Harris would be exposed there. The federal investigators are looking into it actually, his son is an assistant US attorney, which which added a different wrinkle. He said he's kind of recused himself from that investigation. But there are multiple criminal investigations underway. And I think the reason why Harris after all these weeks said, you know, what I give up just holding other election is the proceeds in front of the North Carolina election was putting him in further legal jeopardy. So we don't know for sure. But I think if I were harassed I'd be quite worried about what's to come. Yeah. Before I Jimmy one is have you comment on the neighboring states strange politics? I wanna play you one more person who claims that there's massive voter fraud..

"Part super come to Mark as we were just sitting at the table talking about it. North and already put out a statement and video in which we played a little bit of a moment ago as a practical matter if he does a press conference now taking all of them back. What happens it's an embarrassment. He looks crazy and bizarre. He's already admitted was games. And that was supposed to believe is is not him. Why didn't you say that in first place if it wasn't him at again, you know, it prolongs the story. So you said black face scale. I mean, we got black face gate now. So it was going to be prolonged for several days. Trump is going to pick it up any minute. If he has already tweet about it already. Then that becomes the story. We can't hold the trumps of the world and the Steve canes and others accountable out is a pitcher Mitch McConnell circling in front of a confederate flag. We can't call that stuff out. Democrats can't call this out if Ralph northern we'll go ahead and resigned to it. He already minute. You can't say it was me. And then it wasn't me. That's interesting. Because right, there is the. You know, there were some folk yesterday Jimmy Williams and others from South Carolina tweeted out a picture rooms up. Carolina tweeted out a picture of Mitch McConnell in front of a confederate flag, that's sort of making the rounds on Twitter now lots of people talking about the ongoing Steve king agony stays in. Which you have Tim Ryan Hieaux talking about the fact that he's promoting a cycled v. Dear variously nativist websites. There's all of this other stuff in the either Djamil that's happening at the same time. I'm wondering north and just as a democrat just as somebody who's a member of the party in a very important swing state. If there are people around him were cognizant of the fact that this all gets pulled into the importance of Jinya the importance of Virginia for twenty twenty the obligation that the Democratic Party has to African Americans of new is upon whom they are completely dependent to win elections. It's a lot of give me your thoughts. The courses that they would be elevating in his Lieutenant governor African. Merican the loan. Statewide official who is black Justin. Fairfax Lieutenant governor to the office if in fact northern resigned, so by pushing him out of essentially over not really his racist photo. This isn't really about that. It's about the earlier controversy over house Bill twenty four ninety one which is a rollback of abortion restrictions within the state that they had been targeting north about earlier on this week and not just the Bill that self. But also his comments about it. So this is a long this tactic in the antiabortion game. Okay. So we're not really talking about just racism here. We're talking about antiabortion tactics. And so really talking about the racism that were taught to recognize we're taught to recognize that racism looks like a Klan hood and Sambo figure, but we're not talked to recognize the stem racism that these conservatives have been conspicuously silent about so when we hear them speak up about black infant maternal. Death rates being disproportionately higher than white death rates in that respect. Then I frankly doubt their sincerity as to their belief in the cause I don't believe that they woke up on the first day of black history month and suddenly became concerned about racism. Yeah. Korean I think that's what a lot of kind of that. I'd travel people are saying is that look you have a state that is one of the last of the New South states. Now that Florida and Georgia slipped out of the kind of NewSouth Colin just based on the Benneteau elections. At least that's the feeling people have about them is that, you know, there are a lot of other things happening here. They do a Robert E Lee day the Friday before Martin Luther King junior day in the same state in Virginia that the Lieutenant governor just in Fairfax actually in protests out of he's supposed to lead the Senate, and he refused to take part in it. We had Charlottesville happen which was over whether or not to leave up statutes of robbery lead sort of still pining for the confederacy is happening. And be outfit that that is practising this kind of revenge kind of politics, right?.

"Do they keep Jimmy Williams getting majority of the carries or do you think these Damian Williams has been decisively the better player than Spencer ware since has been let go and. I just I hope for competitive purposes. This doesn't eat too many carries away or too many receptions from Damien Williams says Williams more dynamic for sure to play the momentum factor in no that day Williams's been playing at a great level in. Why would you stop what's been doing going? So well. Absolutely. Receiving game. He got Eshelman on one side HOGAN is. Well, tyreek hill Sammy Watkins every time. People say HOGAN, I don't think of Chris HOGAN, I think of. You know, this kind of feels like a game where like a guy like HOGAN big game, doesn't it? Do for big patriots. Search is this what they do, man. Like, some you're going to be focused on it'll men and James y and then HOGAN wa one hundred and fifty yards in two touchdowns and everybody, and then everyone's like, okay, he's gonna play gradient in the Super Bowl and gets zero targets and then the Super Bowl will be gronkowski's backup. You know? Like, it'll be someone else. It'll be. It'll be gronkowski door set game doors set the guy that they traded for to be their fourth receiver first round bust of the colts will end up being the Super Bowl MVP. That's that's a very patriots thing. We'll have what are the? So you're saying on Vegas. Odds bet for Philip door set to win. Oh, remember when James white won the MVP couple years ago? Didn't win the VP against the falcons. No, he didn't. How's Brady they gave it to Brady gave James why should have been though? Two hundred receiving yards scored the game winning touchdown and overtime. There wasn't controversy. But James white was the final drive in the Super Bowl against the falcons gave it to Brady because he's Tom Brady. But like we all know that James was because it was a comeback of the century. And it was like, oh that's easily quarterback reason for the comeback. But James white scored I believe three of those touchdowns. Yeah. That was like nobody we ever gonna forget about twenty two three never. Yeah. Even thought that James I'm sorry L NFL could fans for having to remind you about that. But yeah, I remember when Tom Brady thought that James, I should've won the MVP. He was interviewed after that. He's like this guy should have won it. Yeah. It was James white Super Bowl. That's for. Sure. But Tom Brady's Tom Brady. So what are you gonna do? He had fourteen catches in one hundred ten yards a touchdown. And he rushed six times for twenty nine yards in two touchdowns three touchdowns. Right. And he had he had fourteen catches for one hundred. You're looking at Super Bowl fifty one any scored a two point conversion. So that dude was literally responsible for twenty points. He ordered three touchdowns and had to point convergence six six six two. Yeah. I was I was like wait minute. That's one hundred forty total yards fourteen because I get Tom Brady had good sets to but still it's the quarterback James white. You know, you know, for certainly MVP is usually going to the quarterback in the Super Bowl like you could say easily last year that maybe I'll Sean Jeffrey or someone else deserve this will be besides think foles, but then had that receiving touchdown. Also, it's kinda put him over the top the Phillies special as it's now called Philly. Philly Philly but anyways pit Visagie. I love that. Dillydally? I my mom bought me. A daily daily t shirt I wear. I prefer a nice Mead. Every all lights in one. Not sponsoring the show. You got to move on cancel the Mead. All right. So. We talked about offense who's playing in offense on defensive line. That's really big and games. Like this team. Do you feel like might have the advantage at the scrimmage that is a very tough question. But I think I gotta give the edge. This is tough. I might have to go the chiefs on this one their defense defensive line put really good against Andrew. They really did. And that I'm not as colts offense of I got got beat got. That is arguably maybe arguably the best offense line in the NFL. Very true. Very true. Isn't that? Like we talked about this before I'll say it again. It's crazy how the colts have often to line turnstile of the league. And now, it's the brick wall..

"It was ridiculous. I can't figure out why they played that way. I look nowadays across the board the NFL not just to give Tom Brady or Patrick Mahomes or anybody because the colts did the same thing and got up. I'm all he got a hit those receivers if you allow those guys free releases against coverage any quarterbacks going to stand there and pick apart. So I think this week. He gotta look for the team that's going to be a little daring play a lot of man and go after the quarterback and the chiefs will do that the problem with the cheese is they have a hard time stopping the run. And the patriots were great running the football last week. That's going to be interesting because the chiefs the one thing that she can do is they can for the most part rush foreign get there. But I I agree with you. I feel like the patriots are going to run a lot on Sunday. I do too. And I by the way, I think they're winning the game. I think they're going into Arrowhead winning. Wow. That means you you're bucking trends as I like to say is hot take to bent on Brady and Belle check in the playoffs. That's why we have you on did Julian Edelman tonight. You is that what you're doing this? You saw that little t shirt that Put he put on out. the road team hasn't won and got those win in the AFC. So more on that. What is it? So you aren't bucking transit. It's their dogs. Right. You taking the dog and. You're not giving me crap for that pick. No. I'm not giving you crap. It sent me. Listen, it's going to be a great game. I tend to agree with you. And I will probably bet on the patriots simply because of the I think it's more than Mahomes being so young thing. And like you said big moment. First time Bella checks going to basically say okay beat us. Not with the big plays. But beat us by going. You know, twelve thirteen yard play drives down the field. Dare Damian Williams to beat you run the football. I mean, if you're the patriots don't you sitting there saying, hey, I'll let Damian Williams run all he wants. But I'm not gonna let them evening. Jimmy, Jimmy Williams is pretty good though, you agree that he's he's a he's a very very good backup. Yeah. Oh, no. I mean, he's been very good. There's no question about it. Again. It's like you can find running back everywhere. They got C J Anderson. Looks like a guard for the Rams, and he ran broke hundred laugh, it's true. Kelvin Benjamin of running back. Yeah. So let let's go to that game. Or me, you got a body. Like I do. I don't know about that Pete. Oh, yeah. You're talking about I've seen you write about every week. How you're losing weight. Yeah. Why haven't seen? I haven't seen C J Anderson in car, gene, cargo shorts. So until that happens, I'm gonna say Segio, by the way, when you say that at the end of the football, you know, with that comes to the conclusion once again you were a victim of fat ball season. Oh what that ball season? We'll pick cat always talks about the Paul sandwich that you buy it takes it takes a long nights talked to players about this and coaches every single person involved with football during football gets fat that makes it fat ball season. Look at a coach they say, you can't believe the amount of food that coaches, eat just nervous eating habits. And how fat they get players. Look at the offense of line. They got away every week. But don't tell me their bodies at the same at the beginning of the year as they are at the end of the players. All look at me, they go, you know, you're right that bowl season fans all of us. It gets all of us. It does what were your picks at the start of the year because I think we had you on back in August or September. Don't ask. Me jaguars. And viking. Oh power. So that really blew up those close. It was all all right awful. So. Was going to be..

I literally do love looked at because I was like if the movie that she was sucking Dicken, which I hate to say like that. Because it's a sad affair now was multiplicity I'm gonna freak out. It wasn't also later. I also looked up to listen because I was like was the move was there a movie back then like animated dollars?
