Not just for magic but for now cheating at the game of blackjack any game so is managed. Somebody's attention interesting. Really really interesting. And then of course it showed me moves at one even both shad stuff. They were working on so it was really a fantastic education.

Doctor Who: The Faceless Ones review – a murderous Who-dunnit comes alive
"The recent. You know kind of low budget animation. That they've been doing the more cost effective animation. I should say and thankfully we it was released in twenty twenty and finally have a complete story so this is one of the things on my to do list that i wanted to get to as soon as possible when i was making the new schedule. So this story written by david ellis and now the hulk or zydeco the incredible malcolm hulk who wrote a bunch of notable stories from the patrick troughton in jon pertwee eras including will. Hey the war games. Patrick crowds final story the celerion. The first appearance of this larry ins ambassadors of death which was really cool story that we talked about here it also the seat devils a fun story with the master that we haven't talked yet so that's one of those that hopefully we'll get to at some point here on next up. This was directed by jerry mill. This was the eighth serial of doctor who season four nineteen sixty seven starring. Patrick troughton as second doctor. Unida wills as poly right. Michael craze as been jackson in. This is betty polly's last story by the way. And frazer hines as jimmy mcrae. Mid who at the end of the story gets a promotion to main companion after benn polly Exit the tartus closing out the way of heart once and for all so jesse. I know that this is probably your first time watching the story. I'm guessing david your thoughts about it. So i yeah and i'm gonna have a couple of questions we'll get you that i assume you're going to cover in trivia but just in case you want yeah So i settled down to watch this Linda was out of. Linda was spending the night with her sister. Kaya in a many birthday celebration. And so i watched the first dealer yes. I watched the first three on friday. Night and i watched the remaining three on saturday And i enjoy the. I enjoy the last three a lot more than i did. The first three now. I think part of that may have been. I was a little tired. It was today but also think the first three were a lot of setup. Yeah in once the next three you got really a lot of the story and was really well done so overall. I'm pretty happy with this one. I'm glad we got to see it. Yeah and And i'm looking forward to talking to you about it but my question is In you've probably covered this before. But i have slept since then. Why was so much of patrick. Totten's episodes lost and specifically about this. Well there was a purge by the bbc to essentially make space as i understand it and in the process they junked a bunch of old doctor. Who's they didn't think they needed them anymore. In their infinite stupidity and a lot of them were were episodes. From the william heart. Oh and patron eras you know there was in levin and some others that had managed to recover some of those over time because this was believed in the seventies and since then you know there's been a lot of effort by fans to try and recover episodes which have either been somehow scattered to the winds across the entire globe and or just play lost in this story. They'd only managed to recover episodes one in three. That are returned to the bbc archives. Because hey now they want to keep them a what. I what i find interesting. Charles is the seventies relatively speaking. I mean i love. Lucy had been in syndication. So you think people would have realized the Cordao yet and the importance and also. I know that they talked about that. Many of the early tonight show episodes back with johnny carson. The same thing they just re. They didn't keep them. They did because they didn't think they're reporting. And i remember years ago. I talked to someone and he was british. And he's like yeah doctor who it's it's just the it's just a minor kid show. Yeah i'm sure that was the ski. Oh executive thinking yes the super geniuses as wylie coyote super genius exact who made this horrible decision probably thought. Well it's just a kid show doesn't matter you know they. They won't miss it. We've already done Because back in the day dear listeners you used to have summer reruns until you would show an episode twice and and it was kinda done. So i'm sure they were thinking okay. We've already had a repeat time to move on. It's just it's it was just a really bad unfortunate thing that happened to the show because you know like a lot of classic moments are just now lost in presumably. A lot of these are never going to be available in their original format. Now they're going to be like stories like this. That would probably be reconstructed through animation. Or maybe whatever happens in the next ten years technology wise that they could be recreated so now and i guess they had audio right so now the audio either fans have the audio or someone in so that's for steps are recreating it. Yeah thankfully now though. The upside that. I should mention was that through the efforts of fans a lot of kids at home you know. They had their home tape cassette recorders right. Or whatever you know recording real

Washington DC officer seen crushed in doorway speaks out
"We're hearing from the police officer who was nearly crushed to death in a doorway is rioter stormed the U. S Capitol last week. Disturbing video has been shared around the world. And tonight he's one of three police officers speaking about confronting the violent mob. Sam Ford from our Washington D. C sister station has a story. We've seen the images now. Acting D C. Police chief Robert Conte let three MPD officers who were there talk. That was the one that was crushed in the door, but they have a heroic story. It's the tunnel through which a president walks out for the inaugural ceremony. But January 6th these three officers were there in the crush, fighting to keep out of that capital entrance. Rioters who police that had bear Mace It's not only painful, but you literally can't open your eyes and when you can open your eyes and you're in the middle of what way would call a fight? The struggle was sometimes in the cops favor. Sometimes in the rioters. I guess I got pin through the small back and forth we had fighting for, you know every inch Fourth District Officer, Hodges was trapped in the back and forth thought, you know this might be it. I might die and there's nothing I can do to defend myself at this point, so I just started screaming my lungs for the under. Give me a way out. Get me a ladder retreat, he said a rider beating with his own baton before other officers freed him, and when police managed to push riders out, officer Michael for known, said they yanked him out with him beating him tasing him because guys were like crabbing here off my vest, and they ripped my badge from me and people were trying to grab my gun. I remember guys chanting like killing with his own gun. Um, I thought about killing people, the Blue High grad said. Instead, he told the writers he had kids. Some shielded him until his partner, officer Jimmy Albright, at the top of this picture, got him back in the tunnel. He suffered a mild heart attack hospitalized two days. The other officers were not hospitalized. Really stunning. The officers say that they were stunned that many of those writers believe the police were supposed to be helping them break into the capital. The FBI has
Anne Hathaway reveals we've all been calling her the wrong name
"Princess of genova and overall icon was on the tonight. Show with jimmy fallon last night and she admitted that she doesn't love her name. Comey any everybody everybody homey any. Please let still the teeth. I so armee. When i was fourteen years old. I did a commercial and i had to get my sag card and they ask me. What do you want your name to be. And i'm like well it should be my name's anne hathaway lake. I never into. That seemed the right choice. But it never occurred to me that the rest of my life people will call me and the only person who ever calls me and my mother and she only doesn't when she's really mad at me really mad and so i- every time i step on public in some costly name. I think they're going to yell at me. This is the most anne hathaway thing that's ever had on sorry. I'm sorry this is i. I refuse to believe that this will has so much negative connotation to her name anne hathaway when she's been a working actress and she was a kid. That was the big note from me. You've been called hatheway by the public for thirty plus years now. We know that there's like if someone has their stage name or their name. Everyone calls him that but then they're good friends or family might call them something else. And i think that's special. So how about everyone in her life calls are we to call her. Because we don't know her it's the
Order in the Court (Transfinite Ordinal Numbers)
"This episode is about the trans finite ordinal numbers. What do you think about that Neither no the only word in there. As i know i know lots of like parts of that number but i know ordinal put him in order. trans finite means what across infinite of across finance across the fight number basically an infinite number and the there's actually a difference between ordinal numbers and cardinal numbers. When you get into the infinity's which we're going to talk about Cardinal numbers on the next episode odds apart one basically but ordinal numbers are. Let's say let's say you have like a collection of things. Let's say you have an infinite collection of things. Let's say you have a million like infinite number of names on a list and you have all numbered from a one One onward and their unique right. Yeah and they're all unique or at least they have a unique address if you add. Let's say you add one to that. Like one new name to that while you while you could reorder them and say that they are Well is that one that you're adding. It's one more than the one before. Yeah it is distinct and and you could order them basically the same way because that could be the that could be the number one the the old number one number two number two three and so forth. But if you want to compare if this item is distinct you can refer to it as kind of like the infinity. O plus one address is when you have a collection that's already infinite and you're adding one to it so that makes no sense to me to makes no sense to me because infiniti to me means without end right and so it seems to me like it would be immaterial to add another number in there because it's already there anyway like in other words it's just basically that is when you're talking about cardinal numbers and i'll explain the difference real quick. Cardinal numbers are how many there are ordinal are where they are also. We're not talking about when you were talking about names. were literally not talking about ordering. The numbers were literally talking about unique things. Yeah like let's say like Your jimmy bob. And he's number one and ninety have mohammed number two got pluto three. Got you okay. I was thinking this was like one two three four five. Yeah i mean at one. Two three four and five are ordinal numbers and they're also cardinal numbers because you can have a set like a collection of things with five things in it but once you have an infinite number of things like for example. Let me use the example before we have the incident names and then we add one to it right right. The address of the new thing can be considered like the infinity of plus when address. But it's the total number of things in it is still a just the same in just the same infinity. Because cardinal numbers is about the size of sides and ordinal numbers are about addressing sets. Giving each place everything a unique name so for example before we have everything numbered one through infinity and then we add another item to it and then if we compare that list the oldest to the newest we could talk about this in terms of ordinal numbers.

Remember the joke eyelashes you you have to look at her but through a hole in a paper plate. Just. How you look at it eclipse when a Grade School I remember. Oh. My God that was great team. That's awesome. She's like thanks. And I think at the time was like she was great but knows who she is I'm not sure if I throw her in like Oh she's taking over we can update I. What if we co hosted by Guy Girl? He's like they've done that before with. Dan Aykroyd Jane Curtain so I go. Let's try it. So we went to Conan O'Brien studio at the time over here where I am and we had a table setup and Tina I did a fake we can update we tried different sides of the desk. And the chemistry was there. It was right there and it was like it was like. It wasn't boyfriend girlfriend cameras. She was more like brother sister or like smart girl and like do feed do that like needs answers to the homework you know. That's kind of their dynamic and it was just fun and I remember like laughing and like support each other it was really great and We just we tried it and just took off and stay one like it worked. Your show the Jimmy Fallon show. My question is, do you still have guests? You get a little excited little nervous because you may not know him so well, but you're a big fan and then the follow up is, is there shown one out there or a few people that you're dying to have on your show but you've never had I was nervous having you on the first. Let me tell the story. Everyone listening to this podcast here I a big fan of Iraq for years and I was on probably late night I wanna say is when it or maybe us know when I first started seeing you yeah s no and then late night I, I think I made a couple of jokes about you. If I did I, take it was all in good fun. You're single at the time it was S. I would never say. All right look Jimmy. Go, the game and Lauren had these great seeds right behind home plate. Lauren have beer watched the and everyone would come out and I know that the team at this point you know and I think Maggie a little nod. That'd be very discreet pry Steinbrenner's price wave at the celebrities. Exactly. So no one. Yeah. But we learned get special training and you know because we're there all time we know everybody. So jira commanded would look anyway billy cleanse over me and give me a little not and then allies would come out I go. Rod. And he would just stare at me like. Like like like he wants to fight. And there was A. Cloth or whatever the net, the net the netting. Him. So I don't get it with the foul ball because my face is pretty and he would stare at me and swing as bad as artists. Good. What is? At. ME. Behind like what but then you would go up and you hit home run. So I think I was the reason for your great career yeah lecture. At least a few runs have you ever been back to the stadium as if fan you ever go and watch the game? Yeah. Last year early in the season I took the entire family we had gen and the four kids and it was it was awesome plus Jones from the Bronx I mean we're Yankee in a sweeter in the seat we were in a sweet, but then the kids are driving us crazy get down there. So we were right behind Lawrence seats did and we had six seats there and it was just Was Real. It was going to say I wanted to go with you. Would you ever go to a game? We should go this year we definitely should go you know. Orange. Threes a weird number to go. No, I think. I'd tickets. Magic also behind you guys. So all right wherever you tweet us from where you are. Yeah. Yeah. No variance. They'll be fine. I'll be in the bleachers. Fine stay home. Let us know you're having fun I wanNA. Make sure your I'll let you guys know I'm having fee safe I want you to be safe. We're going to get back to more Jimmy Fallon in a second but I want to talk to you guys quickly about our friends across country mortgage cross country mortgage is the best mortgage company in the world I, used to actually work in real estate mortgage is a scary word for a Lot of people, but it doesn't have to be when you use cross country March. "Thing in the world cut to I never made that money every until you know Sarah live. You get excited and I was like Oh. This is amazing. So I went home that night I was. So happy my friends from my school came to see me and the comedy club and I still have it on videotape and I was just so nervous and. And I remember just like I I was on. I just thought it was the best I was going to be easy from then on out and I started just joining a bunch of talent comp contests and talent competitions and I think two more after that. I. Won another one and then it came in second to another one a girl play the piano amazing beat me her name's cheese Oh. I. Know you don't hear about it I don't know what her name was, but not always when the seven hundred dollars, but also won an MC job at the club in Poughkeepsie, and so at the time, it couldn't even drive driver's license. So my dad would drive me to the club every weekend MC. Welcome to the club also work on my act and introduce all these comedians and I, had like looking back Kevin James, I used to work with. Lewis Black was great and I got to meet all these COMEDIANS and see their act and it was cool. It was like a really interesting thing for a sixteen year old kid to do and I was there like every weekend just working at my act and try to add different jokes and you know a lot of it was bad. But it was still working a lot of pressure and getting out there I'm sure. Petition and Yanks Handle. Some of the jokes are so bad. But then I remember went off to college and what is in college I started adding more to the active musical impressions. So I had a guitar and you had to play guitar. So it ed musical impressions of the troll dolls at the end of my act. So I did celebrities at the beginning of my act Trodellos at the end. So that would be another piece of advice for communities have a beginning and have an aunt The middle, you'll figure out the middle. You gotTA. Have a closer It's good to have an. People. Get to know who you are and you gotTa have a closer that crushes right close right. So you've got close finish. Yeah. So so you do all this you obviously have this goal, your entire life getting on snl you finally get it when you do get it. was there a feeling of I've made it like I'm good or how quickly like all right I need to actually stick around and make this work and and and reached my next goal because I always we always talked to people and really successful people when they hit that first goal just makes him hunger for more I think at the time I was good. Yes. Is it man? Yeah. I remember taking a picture of the elevator to my audition of the second audition for Seo because I go. I might never come back in this building right? This is awesome and if I even if I don't get this I, tell my kids. Hey, once auditioned for Saturday night live pretty good right there you know. So I really do I had one of those disposable cameras that you know the the Kodak wants to. Put into CVS and then way from the comeback. And so I remember doing that audition. Then it was the most nerve wracking one yet you go into the room and go. Are you Jimmy Fallon who's Jimmy founding? Yeah Okay. Well, you're up next don't be nervous but just let you know Lauren doesn't really laugh you know talking about Lauren Michael Oh while lien laugh says it don't let that throw you because there's only like five people in the room you're at innate age which you've been maniac no audience just four people and they're they're beaming you to Burbank to California. So the president of the network and watch as well while it's a lot of pressure, right? Okay. So then Hey going to hair make them like makeup. I mean never put makeup Monica. Okay. Great. So I go into hair and makeup. Jimmy Fallon guy goes well good luck to hear me great. But just you know Lauren doesn't really laugh. I. That's Great. Thanks for the advisors so then I. Go in about to go on, they put a microphone on under your shirt and they put a clip on the top. So they can. With Mike Pack so they can hear you and he goes Jimmy only go. Yeah. This is great. Well, good luck to you. Remember I told you but born doesn't really lag here. What's the problem? He's in the wrong business. As problem. So it was I got on stage and I did kind of my troll act I didn't do the trick but changes until like a celebrity walk-a-thon whereas doing different celebrities walking. For charity and I did you know again Seinfeld and Travolta but I added at the end my closer I think was sandler and this is just at the time when Adam Sandler would just left the show these brand he was supposed to go on for one more season but he was getting really famous and so I had an impression of Sandler And I remember was going. To so good to be a you know. WHO Did it. A little bit and Lawrence laughing. Is it. We put his head in his hands. Why made Lorne Michaels laugh and that was that was arrested was like slow motion. Kind of walking out like, wow you just coming off the field. Goals. Like Lauren question because. I have so much admiration for him and I know he's been a big mentor and Supporter of yours. So, first of all, what has he meant in your career and one or two or three things that make him such a special businessmen so disciplined. he he's meant everything to me. I. Mean Honestly I've seen He seen me at my best and my craziest too I mean when you get famous, it's weird. You know one. Play list there's no something. There's no book that you can read. This has become famous. You do this and that and this, and that's like you think you like I remember at one point I said to my agent. So I said don't send me anymore movies whereas be funny. I. Don't want to be funny in a movie I only want to do westerns. They're like. I WanNa read. Any romantic comedies me I. Don't want to be anyone's boyfriend. The thing I only want to be don't even send it to me. I'm just pass I just WANNA DO WESTERNS and they go World living they don't make westerns anymore you. I guess. So I never got they never sent me anything but I was so dumb in my head thinking that would be my I always wanted to get shot a horse on the white I mean it's pretty cool. I agree I think it's cool. But. They weren't making those things at the time so like but I mean I was getting offer like you know meet the parents all the stuff, but it wasn't even reading the scripts. I don't WanNa do this out. Of Western. It's not if you if a horse. I'll. Consider it. And now I look back I'm like I was such punk I mean, what was he doing? But Laura Macau talk me. and. He just had a clear vision news just. I don't know if it was calmer than anyone. I've met and I, think if you have that like calm cool like it's going to be like, I already know what you should be doing another right moves is a discipline. I mean it just seems like he's a machine he's seen it I mean he's he's been a writer. He's been a performer and then he's been producer for all these years and not just Sarah live is produced. Kids in the hall is produced Standup Special Produced Thirty Rock. He's they're all different writers, different people, different producers. He's worked with thousands of people and knows their egos and he did a play on Broadway that tricky to pull a playoff. It's so much work, right? I remember. One time we did. Something fell off the wall painting. I want some Kruger's like. Lauren what are we? GonNa do painting. Off The wall was even get the walgreens and longest just put a sheet over. The sheet will work. Okay and they put fine no one worried about. So what about you breaking character on us and that would he get Makasi notoriously doesn't like that and I've read that you also were mad at your cell phone would happen but you also probably new after a few times like this. Genuinely funny because people love to see other people laugh wasn't even. That, I was laughing because laughing at the out really learned does not like that he frowns on it and and so I was actually I was I was embarrassed that I would do it but it was the first one that I laughed himself was cowbell. It was a sketch that will Ferrell wrote with Adam McKay and it was about blue stor. Colt. Don't feel. That song and it's like actually is cowboys in that song? Yeah. I think someone thought that was funny because they're kind of a heavy metal band to have a Cowbell and instrument and your classic songs like wait. Is there a cowbell and don't fear the reaper? So then we should do a whole sketch.

We're back here with Jimmy. Pardo Pardo right though. It's not you know Jimmy. Pardo aright the lose theme of Little Bit of this. Podcast is about a growing up. How we now people who are technically grownup. Sort of like. What does that mean? Were you scared to grow up? I don't think I did know this is the truth when my son was born. I remember I quit. I work for. Mci records again six digit paychecks. All right bragging at twenty two. Wow so left that to do this right so to make one hundred fifty bucks a week like left hanging on rockstars so so that really believed in yourself. That was risky stupid. Yeah I I basically traveled in my car where we stand up comedy Honky tonks and so on so I when my son was born I felt like well. Now I'm adult. I've never really done anything. Risky yeah and so I went and got a tattoo six weeks into my son being born. What is the Tattoo? I have a shark on this arm anchor on this arm. And what did those symbolize? I love sharks and died. Love anchors. Well then the anchor was because I saw my son as an anchor to keep me stable in this crazy stupid world that we live in but you were open minded about that. You weren't like Oh God now. I've got to change who I am. I think it was a little bit of a break like I want to get a tattoo. I was a little bit nervous breakdown. Okay I think that's unfair to people that have had real nervous brand new bit of Midlife crisis or whatever word is where you're just going Holy Shit. Yeah and then. Maybe a week later it was gone for that. It was like pan. I'm a dad now I I can barely get coke myself now. I gotTA in charge of this Little Guy And then that was going but yes otherwise. No I'm not. I'm not afraid although I did have since you brought it up. I did have a situation where it hit me that I may not be alive when my son turns fifty and that made me sob and I broke down and just like the idea of what enough to be able to see him. Grow UP FIFTIES GROWN UP. But you know what I mean by that I one hundred. I totally not no. I really had a realization today. That kind of bum me the F out Man. Yeah and then I got out of. I don't know if I get out of it to be honest with you. I think it's still kind of yeah back. I don't think that is one that just like goes by by but I think I you have those moments of like okay or like something where your child comes home with something? You're like this is. I need to pretend I really know what I'm talking and I'm the adult here is crazy because you're like. When did I become the person that everyone's coming back? Yeah Luckily Danielle. Who's also a clown? But she she knows how to handle these situations like she's really great that and I she tells me that I undersell by being a dad but luckily she knows what to do. And I do the best I can. Okay is there a moment that you can think of? Maybe you can't when your son came to you and you were like Oh fuck I don't I don't know I in years past. I would've probably called my parents and asked them out of hand all. Yeah that's the biggest one is he he got. He got bullied quite a bit this past year and it happened to him in Sixth Grade. Which was the same year that. I got bullied so but yet I don't know how to tell him. I did not know how to tell him what to do like you know. You can't tell them to just let it. Yeah and so. That was a lot of Jesus Christ I would. I would have maybe talked to my parents about this. I said well that's what he's doing. He's talking to his parents about it and you're supposed to have the answer. The answer hard one. That was a hard one and it was eventually I did settle on you know. Look here's the truth if this kid and there was a couple of them but there was one in particular as if it gets to the point where this kid is pushing your buttons and You Punch Him. You will not get in trouble from me. I am not saying. Punch him giving permission to punch him. But if if some point he pushes your buttons and upward views. All of your tools to stop him from doing that. Where if you go. Today's the day man. I can't take it and punch. Yeah if you get expelled. Whatever happens at school and then you come home and go down. I got expelled. You will not get in trouble cured and I think that gave him some competent stood like okay. My Dad's not going to be mad at me and told them L. She of course. She kind of agreed. She's like I have to say I agree with that because I think sometimes that now gives him license that gives him some trick in the back pocket if he needs to have it that's been sanctioned and to also know if the shit hits the fan and not one fucking kid school ever talks to you again you still have us right which ultimately. I've had to use that. You know what? I mean like honestly if all of this drama when kid girl draw stuff say this went from four to twelve ran. It's not going to say you lost all your friends. You know who you get to still come home to us right and your cousins and your grandparents and all of this and that's worst case scenario. Which isn't that bad of a scenario right. That's a great. I think that's a great thing to say especially as growing up different things out. Then you getting your head maybe you. It's like well. Why is this kid bullying my kid? Well maybe his home life sucks and I'll and then I feel bad for the kid when I don't WanNa feel bad for the good because he's making my kid's life hell I will say that is another thing that I say to my daughter. I go listen usually when somebody's acting like this that means they're unhappy on the inside and we don't know what's going on with them so let's try to take a moment to think about. Maybe what's making them? Act like this is. Maybe something else is happening where they're not feeling good about themselves. Maybe someone's not treating them well. Guess what I while that might be hard to understand at the moment when they're throwing food at you you know understanding storing food and because at home. Maybe he's getting hit around like you don't know so yeah yeah. It's rough rough so rough waters. It doesn't make it better. I want you to brag about something that you are particularly good at in your life. What is something that POPs to your mind when I go Jimmy? What are you great APP? Do you want the funny answer either. Way Well the thing that I'm really great out of this covers I could. I could guide a car automatic car. Wash like nobody's business. I'm able to line my tire up with that every single time. There's no I'm never getting the move your He steered left right. I'm able to get it right down the center. I feel like I'm ready to say all right. I'm very proud of my podcast. Yes but I am an Euler alluded to this earlier. I'm a great game show host. Yes you are. I am a great game show host and and I'm proud of that I love co hosting game shows. There are things I'm not good at in this business dammit. I'm great at that you are and I will vouch for that as you know complimenting you feels uncomfortable because it doesn't feel right you are and you should have a game show and it's what you're meant to be. Can I just one second Quebec team? The Brag I feel like when I go to the CAR WASH. They take my car and they lead it in more often than not. I will go to the automatic one to save forty minutes of my life. Oh this is the one where you drive yourself. Where do you even fine? Those I wanted to apply to more often because they wanted to take my daughter through because I thought she'd find it fun. I can tell you that Auburn up on them from the first few times founded a little scary. How old was he seventeen or he was. I don't know you're right four by my daughter's ten if she finds that scary she's such a pussy and this is something we need to talk to her. I would talk to her. It is how I talk here. Yeah but she loves the show. She's GonNa Listen. Never been able to see her. Hear anything I've ever done right. It's offensive enough pudding what you do exactly now something that you think that you'd like to work on the other side to work on. Yeah something that and it could be funny. It could be something serious here. Look this is a silly answer. Yeah but I often bragged. There's nothing I love more than fantasy baseball and I'm horrible at I'm not good. I don't win okay but I love it and if I don't know I used to win but I don't anymore what's happened. Deboer you used to have to look at status got. I've already don't care right. I Played Rob Risers love interest on something names Paul. So set that may you combined. Rob Reiner Paul Reiser. How talented that. By the way that person I really talented and funny I would make them my only podcast. Guess I wouldn't go out in public with anybody but that person the Combo of Rob Riser. You don't spend time with Rob Reiner. I also had a friend whose name was rob riser. Back in the day you couldn't say day good. Lord. I've never hated you more. I know that's not probably conducive to successful relationships or friendships. But that is how I show my love. Okay say enjoy your. Don't know you can't even say that with a God damn straight face was about to to yell at me. No but your your your lips were already quivering connived. Tell you I'm going to tell you one positive thing when you walked into my house the way the light was hitting your face. Your is a pop pop. I I will say this about my oddly shaped head I have. I hate myself. I understand that I have for you. I have I was at the I was at. This is a dumb thing. Say was that but I was at the Ronnie James Dio Hologram concert words. You know them separately maybe but It was at the Wilton and old rocker chick. That's the best way to describe. This woman was Whose probably was on the sunset strip at the height of the eighties. Glam metal days. She was behind the bar and I went up to get buy popcorn and Diet Soda. 'cause I don't drink. Yes and she said. Oh God what was the word she used? You have do me is or something like that and I said it wasn't do me but basically sounds negative. Do you have it what it was like like. She wanted to have sex with wishing he's getting. It had me sorry. Not at the end of days is coming. But she didn't say here is she? She's not the apocalypse is not near is no it wasn't it was it was coming. It was words. I've never heard of no. None of this is helpful. I think it's fun. You overuse joke you may WanNa Google the word fun Look that up for you on the word fun. She did. Tell me ahead of time. I couldn't feel free to look stuff up. We'll start with fun and see. Her face is anywhere near it anyway. This woman who's been around. She saw my eyes and wanted it Again I the one who just I do. Think you have Gorgeous Ryan and the way the light hit. I'm not sure this eighties rocker chick. Is that discerning? It sounds like she has fucked her way through the decade to care for the language I think she made love to those rockers. I think in my single days I would have had sex behind a dumpster at the Wilton. There's no question my mind that would have been enough to get to get me. You've got is you've got to now. I'M GONNA put my Dick in. You will get no no wipe. She's got one. No you are going to have sex with her because she said that you said when I was twenty six what age audit I said by younger days. Okay and my head trying to think what I started this date Danielle. I need to know that because I have some questions. I sort of duty. Danielle in one thousand nine hundred twenty one years. Okay so how old were you? Okay wait what did I say? Nine hundred ninety eight when reborn thirty to thirty to thirty two years old. Okay so got it because when I did your podcast the other day you we discussed that you might have a child that you don't know about ler maybe more from when you just splattered your way across this country. Yeah I don't know if I split it as often as you made it sound. Djokovic is okay but but I do know that there were. There were some activities on the road. That where I mistakenly was not protected so it would be as surprising as not surprising right to possibly have a child out there. I WanNa hear about like your twenty six year old. What are you wearing it that day now? I know that I read something that you had some jeans at some point. Why would that be something you read? Listen I do. Oh yeah there's the there's the Oh there's the worst headshot in history what. How old are you there? Twenty three twenty four. Okay okay. We all had mullets. Don't make fun of the hair. I know I'm not going to make all had that we all we all have every man had that here every man every man. I had had that this hair I did. I was much younger. Talk about you getting laid. But now I'm thinking that probably didn't have no no it did. That's that's crazy lazing part make movies about the eighty s about important things that have happened. I feel like someone needs to make a movie about the fact that men had that hair and the population split continue. Then look at the look at the women's during that time that also when you look back photographs it's ridiculous like if you watch the goldbergs or if you see videos that hair is like and we didn't think anything of it like you. Just go along with the times and it's like we weren't hippies anymore. This was this to us. This was cooler than hippies. When if you think about it hippie hair is fantastic here and this is awful. I mean the fact that the human population didn't just stop at your nineteen eighty-four no is shocking. Everybody was coked up and banging drug personnel. Not Once I've never done drugs in my life me neither nothing I've smoked. I have not okay I know. That's not a drought. It's a plant man. I get it but I tell you what I don't get is what I just said to see what I'm going to characters. Not Six year old like really feeling himself. I'm in a mullet. I read online that you wore jordache jeans and some Mesh shirts. This is something about you online did you. Did you not enjoy your horse? Yeah we all did. I didn't know men had Jordache. Gee We were Jordache. We were what was it. There was another brand that What was the fit of a male Jordache on out a gentleman? Blake me fantastic. I just go along with something. "Jimmy Jimmy was really starting to come into his own as a manager in terms of his presentation. He's wearing colorful jackets. Usually different wants for every guy he manages he's talking through a megaphone. He's getting lots of gimmicks here. Did you ever hear from Jimmy about you. Know the wardrobe changes or the megaphone phone. And and how this all came to be part of his act presentation because there are Kinda even to this day we think of Jimmy Hart crazy jacket and you think of the megaphone. Hart the same for all of them that Jimmy could be a chameleon and be a manager just for that guy or just for that team in that particular situation and that's what made Jimmy Different. He he would become a part of whoever it was that he was managing. Let's let's talk about the Honky. tonk man he comes into the WWF. As a baby face he's a friend of Hulk Hogan's least in storyline very quickly turned heel and put with Jimmy. I understand understand why they would put him with Jimmy that I guess make sense but let's talk briefly about Honky tonk man. Why do you think turned him so quickly? 'CAUSE wasn't getting over does it was as simple as that. They think in Vincent saw Honky Tonk man as this huge baby face. That was coming in Hogan's buddy so instantly it'd be a baby face. Everyone love them. All Contol angry I am very but it was so over the top and in a very arrogant way the audience puked him up and and they had no choice but to turn it. Or there's three or four things I can say they're Let's talk about Jimmy in Memphis. He managed manage honky and Kevin Sullivan their attack team. But he's not the first pick for Vince. McMahon's manager of choice for Honky tonk man. Apparently Mr Fuji of hockey didn't want that. So they put him with Jimmy instead. How different would the heart care with fucking Mr Fuji Honky? tonk man. Yes he gonNa do the shake rattle. Roll you yeah that would have been the Jerusalem sheets. That's the worst mischief ridge impression. I've ever heard thank you very much. June second nice eighty. Seven hockey would beat the Ricky the dragon steamboat the intercontinental title. And there's this big infatuation with Butch Reed lately that I guess people just not coming coming around to realize that Butch Reed invented net flicks and actually butch was a big part of Apple Computer's. I didn't yeah there. Were stay jobs. The other guy butchery and it was it was a threesome and uh butch was going to be the silent partner. When he went to Florida where he got over like a motherfucker and and he said you know what guys? I've got enough money. I've got an idea for this whole Netflix. Thing you guys go ahead and take. He didn't need time. Lower like a motherfucker floor. I don't know that you saw this but over the holidays Bush read because he's still with us as well I should it'd be celebrated he. He recently visited for the holiday the Virgin Islands and now they're just the Allen's Anyway let's get to. Oh yeah I read that too. I believe I mean with all that money. He's got I mean. I don't know that you know that. But he helped broker the deal for Vince McMahon to get the XFL back on TV. Of course you probably at the meeting you know So Ricky's supposed to lose the intercontinental continental title here to Butch Reed but butchery was busy inventing Netflix that day So he no showed Knowing that you know his fortune was right around the corner so they needed someone to beat Ricky and take the belt off of it because ricky needed time off supposedly hulk convince are talking about it in the hallway and Hawks Bah and supposedly hoax at what about him. And that's the legend of how the greatest intercontinental champion of all time came to be. How much of that? The believe is consumer in any window. I think it's probably fifty percent as like there may be some portions that the motive actually actually happened but it probably has grown into a bigger story than it actually was well. We know that Hawk is going to go on to be the greatest intercontinental champion of all time. let's keep all gone baby all time hockey starts doing a feud with The Macho Man Randy Savage Bridge which is what effectively turns rainy baby face and Jimmy said that one Tom Haughey did or a dance in front of Lisbeth and sent Randy off and hockey tried to explain. It was just Elvis type dance move and that caused some problems between them and because of that hockey refused to drop the title to Randy. Now this is all all new wrinkles stuff. I hadn't heard before that supposedly there was a real life situation because honky was doing some sort of Elvis impression dance and gas S. Randy thought he's trying to get with Elizabeth in real life. I'd never heard this before as your this before. No I and we just before. Jimmy says that Eventually he would be the one who helped get randy into the company. That's worth a rewind. Randy's Randy's working in Memphis Jimmy. Gets a hold of him tells him. Vince really wants them in the company and Randy and Jimmy meet the next day. Jimmy gives him George Scott's number and the rest is history. Talk to US shirt doctors. A little bit about your recollection because I know that story has been retold alive but savage was a little paranoid. And we've talked about that here on the show but even about this call coming in right. Well Yeah but yes and no it was randy could be very suspicious and just not very trustworthy of anybody so randy you know looking Kennedy thing. I don't WanNa be butt of a joke. And if somebody's ribbon him you know Randy and Jimmy Har Come. I'm an because they had both been in Memphis at the same time Radius told me that Jimmy came tomb basically for whatever reason Zain Randy took it as the Gospel in they got together but it was Jimmy. Hart who vouched for Randy savage having worked with him for only a little bit in Memphis And then is I say you know the rest is history and got to take the chance on the Macho Man Randy. Take the chance on this and got everybody together in the Risto Hung. Yeah forget I need my two listing omits on my boots and my ass wrestlemainia. Three Jimmy's involved volved in three matches at the show. His first appearance with adorable Adrian Donald. WHO's taking on Roddy Piper? Then comes the six man with heart. Foundation Danny Davis on one inside versus the bulldogs and Tito Santana on the other. The third appearance on the show hockey talk and jake the Snake Roberts of course shake Alice Cooper in his corner and after the match match. Jimmy's left alone in the ring. Robertson Cooper team up to scare him with a pet snake Damien. Pretty Primetime moment here for Jimmy and biggest just wrestling card of all time. Jimmy's not on at once. He's on it three times. Not a bad gig three times and probably worth about seventy five percent of a payoff in nineteen eighty seven. Jimmy would manage the WWF. Women's tag team champions Judy Martin and Leilani Johny Konno's the glamour girls and They're most famously GONNA feud with Japanese team that has gone to become an internet wrestling. Legend the jumping bomb angels these women's tag titles when these days don't get talked about a lot. What's your favorite women's tag team championship match from? Nineteen ninety seven it was. It was a lot of Boston Gardens at time. Over the summer. Walls were sweating. They do so fucking hot. Eighty seven in a year for Jimmy. As I mean we couldn't have landed out any plainer. he wins pro wrestling illustrated's manager of the year as he should have. Did you guys in the office. I mean this is like something what I kept up with anybody else. Keep up with anything from pro wrestling illustrated or what was the relationship like with the quote. UNQUOTE APTER MAGS. There wasn't on because WWF had their own magazine so the concentration was put on their own periodical. And just making that All that it could be The rest of it. Yeah they were out there but it wasn't. It wasn't taken seriously all that was was made up or should anyway so at least have our own mate uproar shit line what are you saying was made up the wrestler and inside wrestling Illustrate Oh straight. I'm telling Ya not hurts but you know. Remember when they had the picture phone interviews those real interviews yeah. They weren't what. What does that mean? They had a guy in Memphis interviewing jerry. lawler in another guy in Los Angeles interviewing Dr Jerry Graham. They weren't on a picture phone man that didn't even speak. Oh Fuck Wrestlemania four. Let's fast forward. Jimmy would receive even haircut from British. The Barber beefcake after interview interfering rather in the Intercontinental Championship match between beefcake and hockey and he helps hockey retain the title by getting getting the queued later in the year the ratio brothers turned heel and they are then renamed the fabulous resume brothers and given Jimmy as their manager. And the Hart Foundation would fire Jimmy as a manager and then turn baby face and late eighty eight and then Jimmy would manage the ratio brothers to feud with his former team and the angle was the heart seal retained managerial rights to his former team and he gave a portion of that to the ratios Which is sort interesting? Why is it decided in this era to turn the Har- foundation into baby faces chart something noon? Fill the late had a little bit of a a baby face change to them already. It was specially at that time with the rouges who you thank God too good looking young guys. It'd be perfect baby faces but the American audiences just did not care for the Rubio's and putting Jimmy with them and then doing them. We're all American boys. Which Jimmy Hart wrote in Jimmy Hart recorded with Rouge's doing the vocals for it got so much heat because now you were saying how I think that the American audience audience saw the show they were foreigners dammit gladys in fucking day four for Milo Montreal's gotta be some country far far probably Russia just sway the Review let's let's make them all American boys. Okay so are slim eighty-eight Jimmy going to accompany demolition. and Mr Fuji Pertain. The tag titles against the harmonization acts would use Hart's Megaphone as a foreign object hit brad hard the head with it for the win. I should mention agents mentioned the top. Show that Jimmy actually wrote the Rubio's theme music which is a very memorable entrance song. Some say one of the best in history chat me Bruce. Do you have a A a little bit any of the saying the fabulous ratio theme song. Jimmy Hart Style Force.

"Hitman. ICEMAN ICEMAN said HOFFA's body was putting a fifty five gallon drum and set on fire for a half an hour or so. The newsroom was welded shut buried. You didn't junkyard. And the drum was supposedly later dug up But a they put it not sure what they're talking about the body or the whole drama and then they smashed it. They put it in a car and they smashed into the compressor and the ship that that Japan for scrap and then we put in a rocket ship shot the entire body and they burned it for thirty men. Trying to seal into there followed a very strict recipe. Well we sous vide it in this guy xactly right so mythbusters did Jimmy Jimmy Hoffa special where they scan the ground at giants stadium with a radar to see if there were human remains under it and this was confirmed later when they tore down the stadium and look physically underneath and despite all that idiots from New Jersey still make dig here signs take them to the the new real and there can proud of it to the top Reverend's Quality Oak Tag Agam crushing this Joe CBS. I couldn't think of an acronym but I'm sure but isn't that the wrong sadie. Not right like I feel like did get dude died in Detroit. Maybe his body is somewhere in the Greater Detroit area. No but don't hate on this New Jersey's entire tourism economies clearly based on dead body to work. What else do they have? Here's another complete sleep misquote. Police took samples from the ground under a suburban Detroit driveway at least during the day after continuing after a person reported reported having witnessed the burial of body there around the time of Hoffa's nineteen seventy-five disappearance tests by Michigan State University anthropologist. This found no evidence of human remains. I love this guy. He's like he sees the damn body being buried these address. Nothing and then later that could be hop might might WANNA check also look mythbusters out a metal detector and some guy at Michigan state grabbed of dirt spontaneous combustion in another gangster said. They basically played the shell. Game with HOFFA's corpse. Tony's really said that he was buried in a shallow grave and they had planned to move him around bit but those plans deteriorated like a corpse in a shallow grave. He said that the location of the grave was near a field near the restaurant where Hoffa went missing in two thousand thirteen. Police dug up the area that he indicated and found nothing but the case remains open well to be fair. If the area indicated was just Detroit -TROIT's in general the police would have otherwise decoys the finally Michael Frenzy The New York mob boss claim to know. Oh where Hoffa was in an interview with a Youtube Channel. He said that he knew who the killer was to. His claim is that the commission the five mafia bosses in New York. Doc controlled organized crime across the country ordered it. He said quote. I can tell you the bodies very wet Kennedy and and the shooter is still alive today but currently in prison okay boomer okay but why would all those mobsters go to jail Douai for asking Jimmy the Sphinx Komeito wherever the fuck that is we could get answers answer to this shit. That isn't in the form of a fucking riddle the FBI did release a pretty obvious statement in the form of fifty six page memo in the Detroit. Free Press side note. Is there a page limit at which memo is no longer think novella. They don't speculate late on any of the information or facts regarding the disappearance itself but do speculate on the motive in it. They claim quote Hoffa was murdered at the behest of organized. Crime Crime figures who regarded his efforts to regain power within the teamsters as a threat to their control of the Union's pension fund end quote also murderers bad double space doubles as of Orange. We're the I think. The main main gist of this is that there were certain people who knew what happened to Hoffa and where the corpse was but they never said anything about it to anyone or if they did they were already recognized liars in so no one believed him so hard to find an honest mob murderer. These yeah can't trust them they should unionize. The one thing that isn't mentioned in the article is but it's pretty evident is the shit that this guy and other corrupt union officials pulled fueled Union Nyan distrust in the United Conservatives on both sides of the aisle back then latched onto the crop narrative and use this to discredit unions and help weaken them significantly. Only I know there are a lot of other factors involved in the decline of unions. But this cluster fuck should not be overlooked. Yeah if only unions had been perfect. "And were back when we left off Jimmy Hoffa law-abiding citizen doing his best. What he had the Italian eye clarity next to overrun so half at that time? He was doing some Amazing Union inning. He was also under investigation and appealing fraud and jury tampering charges. This this is about fifteen years into him. Being President of teamsters and at this point they make Frank Fitzsimmons his vice president. And this I guess is the first time they name Amo. Vp is a direct successor. For that. I guess there was just a vote but they assumed he was going to go to jail and they needed someone there. That could just take over and keep the kickbacks rolling in great and that was our current events news break back. I wish if only we could replace ours with a long dead semi professional mobster. They was having all this trouble with the law. JFK was president. He don't interest in there. It is anyway Eddie. JFK appointed his little brother Robert. We mentioned him earlier as attorney. General interesting thank you For me me. And my family is not nepotism if the president does it down you'll use it later. RFK was supposedly supposedly pissed. He couldn't nail down Hoffa and other union bosses years earlier and he had an ax to grind so he came after Hoffa with guns. Blazing teamsters teamsters parade for Jimmy. Hoffa in Dallas is too obvious stave off these convictions. Convictions for a long time. He was initially investigated in earnest in one thousand nine hundred seven and it would take seven years for him to be finally convicted of a crime. It would be ten before he served any time. He was eventually convicted of attempted. Bribery of grandeur. How is that even a thing like obstructing justice? Yup Yup OPPA was also convicted of fraud in nineteen sixty four this was for improper use of the teamster pension fund quote Hoffa had illegally arranged several large pension fund loans to leading organized crime figures and quote. They were good for thirteen years in prison. Tried to appeal these sentences for three years and was unsuccessful. Damn thirteen years. You can get more time for very obviously not killing a lady in Texas. Yeah so just before. He enters prison the contingency vice president Frank Fitzsimmons takeover now. The reason he was chosen by half in in the first place is that he seemed really loyal to Jimmy. He owed pretty much all of his success to Hoffa. He was local to him as well and huff had gone to great lengths to consolidate date power as the president of the union run it unilaterally but once fit simmons was appointed as president. He started to undo the work that Jimmy Dunn and he relinquished. Relinquish some of that control that the president had. Jeez you caught a prison. One time everything falls apart around story. He undid everything he had done. What did you like disorganized? The worker give back a couple of snow. Okay you're presenting that like a joke which means you're not super up to speed on what unions have been doing so maybe you should pick somebody who's one of WHO's major qualifications was. He was nearby look at him. Rock seventy five years after go into jail. HOFFA had his sentence commuted to time served and he had to stay out of union leadership leadership for a decade. The Guy Responsible President Richard Nixon interesting Hoffa also got his pension of one point. Seven million dollars is a lump sum like he was some kind of a lot of winter I guess was there really was this was an unprecedented payout by the way and just two random facts here the I. B. T. had always endorsed Democrats however the teamsters endorsed Nixon in the last election. Interesting you you. He thinks I'm crazy as the next guy and the next guy is heat but an innocent was behind anything that I don't know about is a bridge too uh-huh and even though Hafa had his sentence commuted. He was still pissed that he couldn't play union games so he started suing the Nixon Administration nation. To get this overturn. That doesn't work though. Yeah maybe because he was suing them for not ignoring the law and now he's also so running into adversity in the union itself as most of the people in it had stopped supporting him he really only still held sway over the local union where he got his start. Detroit local to ninety nine. I know it does seem like you lose some support after going to jail for basically stealing from the people you were hired to represent I mean it seems like that's not a lock doc. We know trump sure is opening in his bid to get back into power. HOFFA tried to make a deal with the mafia one of the local. You leaders and made Guy Anthony. Provenzano was approached to endorse Hoffa. This meeting did not go well quote. Provenzano refused to listen and threaten Hoffa by saying that he would pull out his guts and kidnap his granddaughters. and quote. Ed as you can imagine Hoffa did not take this so well. He retaliated by cooperating rating with investigators and against his Mafia opponents asshole. I'M GONNA go hang out with Robert F Kennedy where it's always safe no matter what and Narcan you gonNA say like. That's so fucking weird threat once you pull out my guts. I have to tell you it's really selfish care so much about Mike Grandkids. I hate to give you notes on Air Bro. You're doing that shit in the wrong. July thirtieth nineteen seventy-five Hafa Autho was supposed to meet up with local mob. Boss Anthony Jack Loney and the guy that threatened to make sausage out of them Anthony Provenzano. He went to the local restaurant called the Red Fox to meet him. He's trying to hide a gun in the toilet tank but seventy five just shooting in the only man. I'm good take flush for his wife at two fifteen and another colleague at three thirty complaining that these these two were late. This was the last time anyone spoke to Hoffa. Well the last time anyone can prove anyway. Spontaneous combustion exact. Ah that night. He doesn't return home and they find his car unlocked at the restaurant. It's six PM. The following day Hoffa is reported missing the investigation really really doesn't go anywhere they did a DNA test in two thousand one on a hair that came from a car of a family friend and found a positive match but the guy denied that Hoffa ever been in the car and FBI. The I agent in one thousand nine hundred fourteen years after Hoffa went missing. Had this to say quote. I'm comfortable I know who did it. But it's never going to be prosecuted because we would have to to divulge informants and confidential sources and quote. Just check her emails. That's awesome. I'm a little confused like isn't that. What the informants are four like an academic exercise so there's been a ton of heath level speculation I think his and I'm GonNa include some of these from the wikipedia? Sorry did you say heath level I was a conspiracy theorist way before preempt awesome Noah level speculation as in like maybe it was that guy who said he was going to rip out his guts paragraphs of my money's on that the typical Noah always blame people for the threats day. May I told you once that restraining order expires get dual recently. Certainly the film. The Irishman was released to Netflix. Or as I like to call a two thousand one a mob hit a time. They make the ascertain that professional killer that the professional that was close to Jimmy Hoffa Frank Sharon was responsible for killing Hoffa supposedly shot Jimmy in the back of that two times and the body was cremated. The evidence here is just non existent. Okay Hey are you calling. Martin Scorsese a liar guy. Who wrote the book that Martin Base the movie off of because Martin ever has an original fucking idea? Ah Blood bloodstains from that mob. House did not match. Jimmy's blood type so different. I was plugged in the back of the noggin close. I I don't even care to huma. Hoffa Jimmy Hoffa was an American labor union leader when that actually meant something now it means that you're probably late on your mortgage. Yeah he was the president of the International Brotherhood of teamsters which is the truckers union and my dad teamster for several decades could not say this guy's name without calling him a crook he also went missing in one thousand nine hundred ninety five. They declared him dead seven years later but they've never found the remains and there were no convictions in the disappearance it just like Osama bin Laden and JFK. Interesting not at all like no yeah unrelated those people we shots I penciled dammit cancelled episode a hole in the forest take aac three. Jimmy was born in Brazil. Indiana Worst Carnival disappoint a AH fell one can use the bathroom. It was born on February fourteenth nineteen thirteen Valentine's baseball his his dad John Hoffa died. When Jimmy was seven from lung disease and the rest of the family moved to Detroit win? Hoffa was eleven. He quit school at fourteen years old and worked manual labor. Jobs like painting fulltime jean-mrs Apple Tree Shoe would be terrible if someone would paint your house when you at least you know what. This doesn't make any sense. I gotta get the new. y'All remember when people move to Detroit fifties. Yeah they're giving a stipend for that. They've been trying to get back. We have water now. You can drink on bottled some here. Hoffa moved on from painting houses to working in a grocery store chain when he was a teen. He became involved with the Union and organized labor. Around this time the job he was working page. Shitty wages had shittier working conditions and not a ton of job security so think professional snow podcast there with a boss done. That has nobody to blame but himself for his as best does covered. Works didn't do that. That especially since the workers wanted to unionize and Hoffa took the union leadership naturally Hoffa became inspired to work as a union organizer after a run in with an abusive forman when Jimmy stood up to him. The other employees were impressed by him so he moved on from that job and became became an organizer with the teamsters in Detroit local to ninety nine back when threatening people effectively was a valid line. Item on your resume. I I live in the wrong era. How about I fucking kill you? As a negotiation tactic that is sadly underused in today's Labour agree. You made it to starvation cheeses a few years later. While working with non unionized laundry workers on their strike. He meets his soon to be wife. Josephine they married six months later. In September of Nineteen thirty six they go on to have two kids a daughter Barbara and a son James and I wanNA just quote wikipedia. Pedia here so you can hear the house price quote. The HOFFA's paid six thousand eight hundred dollars in one thousand nine hundred eighty nine for modest home in northwest Detroit. The family later owned a simple simple summer. Lakefront cottage in Orion Township Michigan North of Detroit. His son by the way thirty plus years after Jimmy is removed as the teamsters teamsters union president takes over the position. He's been the president since nineteen ninety. Nine yes true fact about that House in Detroit. It's actually worth less now than it was seven. Grandma gives you everything. North of I ninety in in the thirties the forties the teamsters grew pretty significantly in both numbers and power in one thousand nine hundred eighty when they were founded they had seventy five thousand members. There was a push push by Hoffa and other union leaders to consolidate other trucker unions with T- with the teamsters that made their membership grow to one hundred seventy thousand in nineteen thirty six and four hundred twenty thousand in one thousand nine hundred eighty nine and it was over a million by nineteen fifty one off one a bunch. A contract disputes using quickie strikes quickie strikes. We're only one side is happy about the outcome that checks get term and the Secondary Boycotts which leveraged other related industries to pressure Asher to put pressure on another to get them to cave to the demands of the Union would be like a grocery store strike to help get rights for farm laborers. It's hard to wrap your head around it but back then workers actually cared about other workers also since the teamsters were connected to a ton of professions since they delivered raw materials. Finish this project is that are they. Would they use to become the most powerful union in the country right That's why Amazon workers each their own P. Bucket now on everything and hey fun. Fact that secondary boycotts thing literally illegal now. So yeah if you're in a union don't like root too hard for a second bucket per a person shall. We can't even get everyone in the same room to decide that people shouldn't go bankrupt or die if they get sick I try to convince people to take time off of work to strike. Because their neighbors are striking is Utopian dreamscapes. We will never see again something. which I just said about the nineteen seventies seventies and the mob had its dirty hands in the pie to the truckers union were totally in bed with the Mafia? So this means that Hoffa in order to get and maintain power in the unions had to deal with mafia bosses quote he had to make accommodations and arrangements with many gangsters. Beginning getting in the Detroit area organized crime influence over the I bt would expand as the union itself crew and quote okay but Nowadays Union leaders have to get in bed with unsavory unsavory characters like US Congress Giambi two hours so even though Hoffa was a teamster n a union organizer Eiser. He never worked as a truck driver. Or a doc and that's how management works though and that's why it's better in nineteen forty six. In December. Jimmy Hoffa became the president of the Detroit. The real only thing that's left for him to do and it's not gonna happen if he stays in Miami as much as he loves Miami is to go and get in a playoff sort of situation. And I would recommend that if you do the China thing because the season is thirty eight games as you mentioned the regular seasons over in March. I don't know how angry China would be you if you left to go back to the league to sign up with an NBA playoff team, but both things are still on the table. Why would they be made like this is pro on him for the playoff run? And now mean, but by the time the NBA playoffs go, he can make this happen. We saw it as the head that lockout year over all those guys are all came back. There was room for it, but as the war, as the thing is global, like the world's getting smaller every. Else. This is something that I think we're going to see some guys consider they late in their careers like you'd think about it wouldn't be crazy of LeBron James just made a decision at the end of this Lakers contrary, oh, we'll go do something like that. And guess what? We might start paying attention to basketball games in China. If he decided to do this, there's a lot more out there than the NBA and I wonder how many guys are gonna start exploring getting later in their careers were they're basically just going on a victory lap around the world. The reason we always considered this ridiculous was because of the perceived level of leave. But now I think we all collectively understand take the basketball even out of it. If someone came to you and said, hey, do you want to be really, really popular in the world's largest and most profitable most wealthy market? You might say, yes, pretty immediately, and that's what China is sort of promising. If you want to get over that hit to the ego by saying, you played basketball in China and also never forget man. Most of these guys play for basketball teams. There. Their primary employer is the one that put shoes on feet because that's what it comes from. Joe thousand goes Seino's insult to the people at the slot machines and talking today about what's going on cigar store. Right, right, right. That what he thinks he thinks this is happening. In closing, I'd like to talk about making sure the car you get into is actually the Uber that you called and you have you have you seen this right? Don't know if I have this gentleman Mr. reef he is a defensive tackle for the university of Iowa is a backup. And I guess he called an Uber one night and he thought he was getting into front seat of the Uber, and he saw someone into front seat and so he couldn't get in the front seat of the over and he got into the back seat tried to get into the back seat of the over and we got the back seat of the Uber's when he realized that the Uber was actually a police car. Oh, no, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. It was a police car, and I think he's a big dude. He probably realizes the police car. They don't really have room for six, three person back and so then legit to give him a Breathalyzer. He blew over a point two zero which is wold. I was going to ask how drugs you have to be not knowing. Point, two zero zero point two, and then he wound up getting arrested. He is now the suspended for the first game of the season for I will. And I just wanna say this one more time. He thought the cop car was the Uber. And all I'm saying is is to America's baby because there's two kinds of cars out here, cop cars and not cop. 'cause I can tell a Cup car, even if it doesn't have course still owning right? You learn how to do whatever it is. I never going to be so jacked up that I can't tell what a cop car..

"So he would have a better angle for the catch and I'm not mobsters. I'm not saying she should say, I'm no. I'm not saying she should leave him. I was that. I'm just saying she'd be prepared for the day when she might have to. I think rule of thumb years don't treat your baby like a beer? Yes, some pretty good rule. Well, in that case, I guess he did because he would have been careful to not spill the beer. Any did not also spill the baby. But I mean, I think there's an argument to be made that biologically as species part of what makes you tractive in such relationships is your ability to care for and protect child had to protect the family, like just into basic, you know, we got here into while, so I gotta hold this down. So the situation and when you demonstrate that you are willing to sacrifice the child for a souvenir. I mean, you got to wonder if you pick the wrong with this is this is also a case of winners writing history. Because if he missed the ball, he would be a vastly different purse well, well, well, no, just as long as the baby didn't get hit with the most. And I will have to say, I could imagine areo under which he tried to catch the ball bouncing something happened to the call. And that's why she needs to look into the divorce lawyer. Just just. Carey, Chow said he just learn from high noon. The Stephen bears, middle name is Tyrone that's service journalism, as right. That's right. Thank you for watching. That's what I'm here for adults got out to carry AJ by the way to do your part Bob low. We gotta talk about this way story. Many wanted if you're retired before next season starts, but there's an offer in front of him from the Jane golden bulls in China, three years, twenty five million dollars possibly tax free and four thirty eight game season. If that's how close this career. I think it'd be so much interesting if you went that way and I know he's a father and he's close with his sons and all of that stuff that LeBron talked about applies to d- wait, let me tell you what Stefan marberry has gotten while playing and becoming the closest thing to a God. In basketball. China Stefan marberry has gotten a museum. He's gotten a statue in Beijing by the way, not some random blaze in Beijing. He's gotten a postage stamp. She's got a play. He's got an autobiographical movie and he's got a. Best new actor award for starring in the movie about himself as Stefan marberry. There we go. So do you way, do you want any of that? Because I would love to see you go to a turf war of sorts with step Marbury over all of that. Well, also I think we're going to find out just how international this game has gotten by whether or not more people consider doing something like this. This isn't rare like in soccer, for example, we got all the washed up soccer players over here. Man, they give, they don't play guitar planning Europe. Then he come over here. David Beckham's over here almost saying, I'm bad about this time. Dude. I don't know how great of him. I don't know if he's washed, but you understand the point. I'm making these guys victory laps in America all the time, this new market for you to explore, you still want to play. You can do it. I mean, it's kinda over for debate in the I'm sure he can make somebody's roster, but it's kinda done. He can go over China. He can get buckets. He can get money..

"Somebody, I'll try to sit. I have to witness the debating during commercials that we do for free. No, we need to get paid for that check on. Then we lied to. I number eighty. That was the rating Cowboys defensive lineman tower on Crawford guide med nineteen. But it was physical appears that bothered him when he saw his good that's Tyrone hopped on Twitter to put mad and under pressure, writing quote, who on your staff it? Okay. To make my body look like Humpty Dumpty, I demand a review. Are you surprised this work by the way the formality of who on your staff tilted? Okay. Yeah, winning actually looks like and they did have him out to your mad. Toby, I think what they did auto Tyrone. Okay. Yeah, that's. Oh, Yep. Checks up. One of the things I assume at and did Bo was that they looked at his physical attributes and said, he weighs two hundred ninety pounds. You must have a gut and no, we are just watching sport that is populated by physical Marvel's who in fact do not despite wearing about three hundred pounds as well as anybody could wear it. But the good news is that mad and did recant the image. Can we show the updated picture? Look, I wrote Crawford. I feel like the fact that they updated it. That fast is indicated to me that somebody at man, it was just messing. We help like I don't know what kind of personal beef. He's got up there, but somebody seemed to save the real Tiro profit. And another folded just in case this day actually came people care about this stuff so much. And I understand why by the way, like video game ratings video came resemblances as much as TV is a thing, so is the ratings is one thing that is own discussion, but she didn't go hand out here. Like I got a good when I don't have a good day. That is, that is no matter what it happened to be. This is like the hall of fame bus that doesn't look like you, whatever it is. This just happened to be correctable situation by the way. Did you know Stephen Tyrone coal, bear. Oh, middle name, tie road. And so when I saw it is right here, I was looking close like we got another one of these times, but in fact, nobody did not. This was just do, but a possibility. My favorite video game for the record by the way remains NFL blitz. Shannon Sharpe was so good in that game and Shannon Sharpe superfan. Mobile, go ahead. Next number twenty twenty two. That's the recruiting class. LeBron James junior a brawny. James will be part of this weekend. He made an unofficial visit to Duke with his teammates. So Bomani could you see broadly being a blue devil? I mean, maybe maybe have you had too much brawny in your life? Oh, no, it is. No, no, no. Is not about having too much brownie. I got no beef brawny is the thought of brawny plan for Duke, like how that one is kind of like, oh, Wow, I've really hadn't thought about it in that way. Question is going to go to college. No, these rules going to be in place that force Brian to go to college, not. He ain't going be there. I feel like LeBron himself is behind the scenes pushing for the rules to change..

"I mean, also, I think it's fair to ask why the Josh Ruben dude is there like I guess that he's got a good relationship, but it's players, but I don't want to own her at my birthday party. I'm twenty two. And by the way, if I'm the owner, I don't necessarily want meek mill. They've been Simmons birthday party. I mean, you know, they did a role, but his judgment ain't great and his Bob Kraft. He just he likes these crawls. These rooms. I think Michael Rubin, right? Is essential to the meek mill getting out of jail story. And that's why. Right? But the Bob Kraft, it's interesting because this dude is a players owner. And by that I mean, you know, who's not in these pictures Bill check, no, Bob, Kraft likes hanging out with the hold on. No Bill ballot check is not in these pitch pitchers. Know who else? These pictures? Any New England Patriots, right. Like if I showed you these pictures of Bob Kraft with all these people, that's it. I want you to pick out the team that keeps brought our wide receivers. Julian idiom adult. Chris is that to get that you would have like the image of him at the rock nation. Brush we see him hanging Jay, z, and Beyonce. We see them in all these places that have nothing to do with the New England, Patriots how 'bout you bring some of this personality to the New England page, and we show America the other photos of Bob Kraft, making his the world. Look at this man squatting day is posted up go. She may and again with me mill by the way, alternate show that looks at meek. Mill was like, wow, why is he this picture with Bob Kraft there? He is. Era, our colleague, a rod and j. j. that is Rick Ross, yes. I also wanna know how many of these people in these pictures with him like know who he is. I just beyond say, have any idea who he is that just another rich white man that they have pain with, but I think they must know who he is, and this is the fun of being a billionaire sports owner. Instead of a billionaire businessman is that you get to be a guy around town was hobnobbing, who is cool, was cultural currency who says, hey, come to the game next week, and that's fun knows who do you think that when they took that picture the nozzles, like, yo, what's the whole Bob Kraft owner of the Super Bowl, champion, New England, Patriots. I've seen so many photos of him with VIP's from areas of the world, not expect. I could only glue the answer. I'm sure like Jay z knows him. He knows Jay z. Like I get that. That's who got him in the room. You ain't never been in a room before it. Everybody's like who'd help this guy how he get here. I'm not everybody. I'd like I don't feel like he's walking in and it's like cheers, and he walks in the room and they're Like like. Robert, I don't think that's what's going on here with Bob grip somebody's cats alike. Y'all who is Johnny on the spot. This always here with jape by the way. That's why the new craft is that why cause the aluminum body? Because he's throwing up the rock and you may actually plausibly be a member of the aluminum. That would be showing every that would be why they didn't know who he is. What they do know is he must be rich. That's that's the conclusion, is they've jaw the only way that all the way old may kick it with him like that is if he is rich, that's it. The general manager of a very important public service announcement. You can take this show to go by downloading the podcast for money has one too, and so do I put some respect on my name. So you really nothing me with I wanna sex. You know, I have done some cursory Ling up course. Yes. All stuff that I've heard before, but never truly contemplated until this moment with you. Remember this next time you till how many black people that your win by the way. Hen. I think that's the over if people were guessing out there in America..

"The string of athletes have come out with mental health issues and really have suffered no complications subsequent to them. We may forget that this stuff is messy and complicated and the thing we have to do because the reason no FM all rive for anxiety or depression, there is no blood test. You can take that says, I am struggling with mental health. Here's a scientific proof. We gotta trust, Josh Gordon bow. That's the only move we have. If we're operating all all of us here Brown's included in good faith. You have a hold on. Let's be clear. The issue that we got here is not anxiety, right? The issue. You is whatever he deals with. What leads him to do, which dope by that's their question is and where they come on this. And I think that this is not something to worry about. I think that this is highly encouraging. I think it's encouraging from Gordon standpoint and I think it's encouraging from the standpoint of the Browns in the league because what problem that I think a lot of people do have with the way the drug treatment is done is one small slip up, but we act like everything has been thrown off. Like we think just one day somebody says to do no move, and then everything has to be a long statement, but for him to be able to look up and say, hey, man, I'm not in a great place right now. I feel like I need to take care of things before this get started. That's what you would rather than somebody who's looking at, you know, tough it out, no, but tough it out and then they wind up falling apart. Right. And the question also is, was he affronted open and hopefully preemptive when it came to notifying his employer, notifying the professionals he works with because those are the people who are going to help give him credibility because we're still not all the way there on whether we trust the word. Word of guy who's got through these issues. The next name is Gary Sanchez issues of his own because he the Yankees catcher is being called lazy after allowing run to score from second on passed ball, and then costing the Yankees. The tying run in the ninth inning when he failed to run hard on a ground ball. Let's watch this first acquisition of lack of hustle in the first inning. Starts against the raise Bip. He's forty. Three strikeouts at ball, got away for Sanjay looked like he got crossed up. So he's. No, not yet. A lot of his mind. Cross. This was moments ago. Yes. Yes. The as not bleed. Happy with the outcome saying, get the ball Brian. out. What help me help you believe what he's saying? When you translate it, it's a loaded term lazy when it comes to his players, but that was one bit of evidence. Right. That was a hard thing to argue with is you don't necessarily need to call it lazy. It doesn't matter what you call it. He should have been owning was not. And then and then we're gonna go to the top of the dive bases loaded down one end of the game, and wouldn't you know it? Gary Sanchez. Each. Now to be fair hill. Thank you needed to run that out either through the ban by the Taibbi realize there's a little bit to lane. Yeah, bad look right here. You see like, oh, man, that's the end of the game day over, no. Oh, man. Yeah, it's bad look. So one of the things that is so hard, if you are a baseball player who was occasionally prone to take a couple of steps off is that there are no numbers involved. They clocked him. They clock is running from home to first. His average apparently was that four point five, three seconds home to I. This one was five point three, nine. I don't even know. I don't even know why we bothered to go to that people aren't blind man. They see it like you don't need to give a number of what going off. He didn't go down the line and it costs them normally, look, a lot of guys don't go hard down. The line normally doesn't cost. It's on plays that are. The conclusion is for Siebel debt seemed to be one of those enough. You gotta live with it if you do that yet, people are gonna wind up getting people also tend to get a bit out of hand when they talk about those things..

"They do tell me bad. Maybe they've got to fight a concert. I am too young for this. Yes. So think about it was they used their real names in the commercial and I'm looking at the picture. I'm like, no, no, no, don't tell me real name was George. Michael was vanilla is was caning, or was it omitted the do. That's how they look like never seen. Are you to your own now? I have one. They song Elise right. Can you can you? Can you sing it without being sued? Is that one of the things I could, but I just feel old. Okay. Well, we got a name Jimmy Garoppolo Bomani Jones because in a feature ridden by June Lee, Lee report Jimmy g. has made news by sorta proclaiming that he thought he was better than Tom Brady referring to his arrival in New England arrival and meeting Brady. He said, quote, when I first got there, I thought in my head I'm better than this dude and quote Bomani. What do you make of young Ginny. Tom Brady. Right. Like does that not sound like something that Tom Brady was say, I believe and we've forget this. That would Drew Bledsoe. Was there with New England before Tom Brady took up Drew Bledsoe was somebody's you. Bledsoe Ed Lee led a team to a Super Bowl, Tom Brady absolutely walked in there and thought that he was better than Drew Bledsoe like this is kinda sorta what you wanna hear from your quarterback and his house. Like he had head coach who may not of thought he was better, but sure as hell thought he was next. Well, that's the other part of the story. That's interesting beyond the fact that Jimmy is more confident than we thought we have a note in this piece talking about how Bill Belichick had been offered multiple high round picks from the Cleveland Browns and still ended up sending this dude who's really, really good at football, Jimmy Garoppolo to the forty Niners for just a single second round pick, which indicates to me if I am a patriots fan. That is the thing. My head can't entirely wrap around the idea that you gave him away basically. Right? Because Jenny Renta's the other note here, Ginny Francis at the Huby or now? Yes, QB still. She thought she said that Bill has been texting Jimmy Garoppolo after each of these winds congratulate a give. So still there's to be this palace intrigue around the, but where I do disagree on the idea of the give away because yeah, you could get more offer get more back from the Browns, but where did the Browns play in the AFC if you think this dude is legitimately good, you ship them as far away as possible, I think would be more important than the initial hall that you could get back on draft picks on this. I would however, as we do all of this Jimmy Garoppolo Mike Sando did his tier rating where he tossed everybody, tears. They have quarterbacks in Jimmy Garoppolo in tier two. And if I'm not mistaken, tier one is Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady, right. He's got Jimmy Garoppolo down there while Jimmy Garoppolo had seven touchdown passes last year, seven touchdown passes. They went on a nice run when he got started, but we've seen enough guys when they first get out here and start that, yeah, you had this honeymoon period and then was we see what. Happens when the league get some filled. He's got a great office coordinator Shanta handed and get it done. But we are ahead of our skis Jimmy Garoppolo and speaking of the film on Jimmy g. one of the other notes in this pieces that he may have taken that adult film star out on a date because he loves entourage, chase. Knows me bad song. I bet that you don't. All right. Next name, Josh Gordon yesterday, Gordon announced he will not be with the Cleveland Browns when the open training camp Thursday, citing his quote health and treatment plan reportedly did not have any slip-ups or failed tests. But Pablo does this worry you. It's worrisome in the sense that you'd love for this not to happen, but I fear that one of the things we've seen happen because a guy like Thailand in the NBA and Dhamar the Rosen and Kevin love these string..
