Pta's and students in in both those areas. kelly. Woody gov for your parting shots. So going into the oncology. Royal my biggest thing i always say. Is they symptoms. These side effects that these individuals are patients going through. They are common but they are not normal and they shouldn't have to live with these long term so common but not normal so focused on that and be educated to know the difference between common but not normal right. Aubrey and partying scott. Time for you got. These patients have come that we can address and Things that are going on with them are definitely things that we have. The skill set four and in terms of wounds. My favorite product is a silver silicone wound. Johnson even get over the counter at any major star. I like that i envisioned. I can still go back to the when you bring up wound-care rate so i like that. You're your parting shot so absolutely always my thing is that physical therapy should be part of the cancer care continuum and we should be involved these patients from the time of diagnosis through end of lights. Because we can help Cancer treatment cancer going through cancer is such a dynamic process so things vary as they go along treatment and we can address those things and we can help them to improve the quality of life and too slow decline and just just to do the best they can do as they go throughout. "Gustavo cow. I think your muted phrase just wanted to make sure they're so part of really your last chance for a mic drop moment and you'd want the audience to leave with and let's make it about. Let's make about anything you want. What would you. What would your parting shot. Might drop moment be clarence. You're up first so in inland with already been set tonight is just find your path get involved And that that looks very different so for me that was doing board of directors as a student but recognize that. There's only ten students of director spots and thirty thousand students so there is a wave unit in ball in ways other than national involvement state involvement involvement in your school. Make the profession better. Make us more accessible our patients in some way and s possible in many different aspects. Do not have to be a member of the students. Only board of directors. You don't be a member of your local chapters of board of directors. Just find your pet and get involved. Stick with the dedicate yourself to it and make this profession better than in already love that. That's a great party shopping. When when you were saying six need leadership need people and that's micro within a section but there's a lot of different ways i know we're talking about the student board of directors. Now but yeah. There's a lot of different ways that you can get involved. Kyle parting shot where he got force that you have a voice and i think that That as clearance to say get involved but get involved in and have a voice. I think that that's not only in your profession and in your clinic but definitely in the pta and In your community needs more you have an option to have a voice as you vote in Our nation's elections and you have a voice when you vote in. The students inboard elections this year. But you have a voice when you get involved and you network and you learn more about your profession and learn more about how you can get involved and All things that you're excited about about pt and all the reasons the you went to pt. School go to student. Conclave learn more learn more about those things that excite you learn more about how you can get involved so you can capitalize on that excitement to push us all forward of effort capitalize on this count saying art. Lynn party shot. What do you got for us. I would say. I heard a lot of my classmates and other people when i was getting involved early on was i'm just trying to graduate all involved later. I just wanna graduate school. Oh you're gonna graduate don't have to be top of your class In order to become a physical therapist but get involved early because those connections that you make super early make getting involved as a new grad or later on in your career an easy phone call away even if you only make five connections as a student at five connections that you didn't have before and people that are willing to help you when you are ready to take that step. Yeah that's valid get. It's it's it's it's making an investment in your career get involved early cassava. Close it out force for your parting shot today. Definitely i'm gonna. I'm gonna kinda follow lynn on that One thing i've always told my classmates we we think about what's the one year plan to your plan was beginning to. Pt school three or plant. Getting passing task getting boards exam results that we want But what are we doing right now. As a student the thing about our five fifteen twenty year plan the connections the network as a student. You have that opportunity just like we have clinical rotations. That take two different things so we can see different areas of these conferences. These networking opportunities are way for us to learn about our tried our community and share ideas things that we may have never been exposed to school at conferences. We can have that exposure and see where that can take us. It's going to be. That's going to be some something to pay attention to. Where can take you clarence. A great example of that on a whim. the guy goes from mrs to minneapolis. bold. I've got a parting shot. I don't usually do this. But i will say on november second with tomorrow being november third. Exercise your right to vote please do. I'll never tell you who to vote for. Make saving by exercising. That right i would love to see us. Cracks were cracking records with national student. Conclave involvement. let's break some voting records. Love to see that coming out this week. So clarence kyle salvo. "Are I know it's like the great white wave like what I'm saying it's like are we surprised is D- first of all green book. Movie sucked takes on this too. I give zero shits about the marriage story Ori movie as someone who's been married for twenty plus years. I do not care about like frustrated. Privilege White People like we've done that frigging movie so so many times it's like I'm tired of it and I think that's part of this. I agree with how pop culture's reflective of the where we live right now and I do think what we're seeing is a backlash to quote unquote multiculturalism and I'm with you Only Gotten Jamila. It's like it's happening in in other places because I will say this. I actually caught the critics choice awards on the CW on Sunday night and it was totally more diverse so for example EVA DNA one when they take a stage and finally got to see ava give a speech beach that was worthy of the work that she put in along with her team. Series began with a tweet from Raymond Santana and now he and Stran- Ron Kevin Yussef in the mighty corey wise stand for something larger than they ever imagined. I stand for justice. They started right like the gyms that they always were but that we never saw. If you watch their story and felt something in that moment I invite you to consider. We're doing something. There's no right thing to do what you feel where you are. "In this thing I'm Jimmy McCain and I'm worried Ayla ITT sound off Jamila thanks for entering the show Because I have to be honest with you I mean we just did our alive Cambridge show which by the way drops on Tuesday in your feed so that's coming out it was video. Thank God because you're giving us an anchor I am talking to you from garage in Boston multitasking I'm literally like you know I'm hoping like boss it doesn't get all noisy luckily it sounded like New York but it's still have some noise but anyway you got to keep us on ISOS Julio so for it I'm so happy you're with us this week okay so let's get into our first topic on Tuesday the Supreme Court of the United States heard oral mints about three cases that could significantly impact LGBTQ rights these were from New York Georgia and Michigan two of the cases were about men who were fired from their jobs after coming out as gay and the third was about a trans woman who had been fired after deciding to live her life as a woman so the Scotus heard arguments that would basically decide if federal nondiscrimination laws should also protect LGBT people for some reason even though all these cases dealt with workplace discrimination over sexual orientation or gender identity a lot of the hearing was focused on bathroom usage of course because you know why not the official transcript shows that the word bathroom was used at least eighteen times in the hearing even Justice Sotomayor called it the big issue right now that's raging the country okay you know it's interesting because transposes ability need to use the bathroom has become such a political lightning rod over the past five to ten years and it's ridiculous right like you know you're here talking about whether or not what Trans folks should be able to work and live right like everyone's talking about the bathroom exactly but like what's the bigger issue that's being missed here yeah I mean look like what's interesting to me is that we have this moment in our culture where you have shows like pose where you have shows like euphoria and culturally you know you've seen this shift in terms of folks expression in their Gender Identity Trans Folks Gender Not Conforming folks coming to the forefront creating shows and then politically you've got this backlash right and and I think that we're missing is that the fact that the majority of Trans folks in this country are just trying to live they're just trying to hold onto their jobs to make enough if money survive right into the statistics are that there was a study with Twenty Eight Thousand Trans folks around the country and a huge portion of them had been homeless before huge portion of them had been fired because of their gender identity and you know like you look at all of these issues in terms of HIV AIDS transmission I'm listening sex work like all of these kind of go back to like what we're allowing Trans Folks and Trans Women in particular to do to live your I think you're right the point about survival but for people that are following what's happening out of Supreme Court on these cases it's GonNa take months before we'll hear a final decision but at the same time Lgbtq nights are also playing a big part in the twenty twenty election so on Thursday CNN and the Human Rights Campaign hosted a power of our pride equality townhall aw there were nine of the twenty twenty Democratic candidates who took part the answer questions from the audience they dealt with issues like family leave for gay couples violence again transgender people discrimination against the Lgbtq community and there was a moment when Morgan Cox Chair of the Human Rights Campaign's board of Director asked Elizabeth Warren about what she say to someone who's against same sex marriage so let's just listen to how e Warren answered that okay you're on the campaign trail and you're a supporter approaches you and says Senator I'm old fashioned and my face breath teaches me that marriage is between one man and one woman what is your response well I'm gonNA assume it's a guy who said that and I'm going to save just marry one woman assuming you can find one the snap you are and then throughout the event activists in the audience were shouting over several candidates to highlight the violence against Trans Women of color as of now according to Human Rights Campaign nineteen trends people have been killed mostly Black Trans Women but one moment where Black Trans woman blossom see Brown took over the Mike in protests while candidate Federal Rourke was on stage with C. N. N.'s Don Lemon hi I just wanted to take a moment before I ask my question to validate the pain of our transgender siblings that demonstrated earlier and that have spoken up today Book Trans Women for the last time let me tell you something but traffic warmer our our lives matter I must extraordinary black dress meant man man say I know he's come here no no I just want to ask you something Jamila what are your thoughts about these clips show out I fall blossom. Thank you you know the first clip with Elizabeth Warren strikes me in that marriage equality has been an issue that ah from two thousand eight onward was very controversial even within the queer community right like should we be fighting for the right for a few of us to get married and enter this sort of institution or should we fighting for our lives and I think you know the second part of that the murder of Black Trans Women the lives of black transpeople is much more of a albumin of all the relief fucked up problems in the world that are in America that were not willing to address right we're not willing to address misogyny eh not willing to address racism we're not willing to address you know how we're taught as a community to look at gender into look at gender identity so you know Sir Yes so Itt all-star Amar Jones she talked about the role that we don't really want to talk about the role of black SIS men yeah in the murders of Trans Women Trans Women in the United States are being murdered at a rate not seen in any other country on the planet except for Brazil and Mexico ninety percent of those killed are Black Trans women overwhelmingly and every single case where there is a suspect someone who's been arrested or someone who's been convicted that's been at the hands of a black sis heterosexual identifying men therefore it means that the murderer black trans women in the United States is action L. E. on a global scale edible epidemic which you know I think that was a really really important moment I think it's really important that Black Trans woman are forcing their way into the conversation Hey this Julio and I know you're always looking for new podcast related to politics so we wanted to recommend into new podcast called climate twenty twenty and this podcast makes climate change the top issue of the two thousand twenty presidential election for this week's episode advanced the climate change movement in a much-needed direction plus David talks with Wall Street Journal Energy reporter Russell go so guys subscribe to Climate Twenty Twenty podcasts or wherever you listen and learn more at climate twenty twenty podcasts dot com.

"Waiting to see. Very nice. But it's funny because I I feel like and maybe I've done this a little bit. But I feel like I've made excuses for the team this year for the you know, a young team for a team that's been decimated by injuries. But I still truly believe that we we thought our tails off the first eight games were a lot of games. And then I think just overwhelmed by. By a slew of injuries and. Just things along the way that it's tough to have the culture in the locker room when you're that young to overcome and hopefully this will be ingrained in the character of some of these core players. When I look back on this year. And I see a Matt Braida coming out of nowhere or or Dante Pettis or my man, George kiddle or or how about Jeff Wilson junior. There are there are points in players in different units. That have at times shown some pretty darn good football. We just haven't been able to put it all together. Certainly in the last couple of weeks not nesting frustrating to watch. I you guys. Guys will appreciate this. So I got invited to the forty Niners fan club of Frisco, Texas. So I got to go out yesterday. Hang out with some people watch games on the big screen. And I mean there are there significant amount of forty Niner fans here and excited and routing talking about young guys in different people. And I think up until halftime everybody was pretty much engaged. And then it was just it was it was tough. But after the warranty after the eighty or kick return to kick off the second half deflated the room. A little bit. But but. I think people are finding some encouragement in some of the efforts that we've seen this year. And I get it. And I think a lot of people appreciate if there are people were saying, what was the worst? You know, wasn't losing Jimi or McKinnon. And you know, I think probably Jimmy McCain get her maybe we don't discover Matt Brita and. All this just goes to say, yeah, you look at Iraq record this year. And you just wanna throw it away. And let's make sure. We we draft a great player in in great players in this next up and coming rapper, and hopefully we can sign a couple of friends. My goal would be get two guys come out employees right now, maybe three in the draft that are that are on the field next year employing. And so and then be able to grab two free agents that can play take the collective group of young players that we've got this year guys that are that it's kind kinda risen to the top. And get our other guys back, healthy and reformulate. It's got gotta be tough. And I mean, I'm not saying anything that's probably not going on the mind of John Lynch or Kyle Shanahan or or jed York. They're they're thinking the same thing, that's tough. 'cause you gotta fight through the rest of the season. But it's been frustrating. And sometimes that's the way sports goes, you just gotta deal with you. Gotta keep fighting. You gotta keep moving. And and the guys that are winners are going to fight in and continue to be positive and keep playing hard and work hard this off season. The guys that aren't you know, probably shouldn't be around next go around. But I mean. We've all been part of a bad team before. I think you have it. Yeah. NFL? Well, when you're a nine. Pop warner. I I remember that year a little league team didn't win it. That was really sad. I cried. You don't have the best party yesterday. I I told Tommy this. I didn't tell you this. We're doing post game or at a place called fourth board Arinda and we're doing post game. And I'm doing it with Dennis Brown, and and up pops Ricky Watters, and he hung out with us during the post game. The water on regular get bad, Ricky, Dicky wanted to win bad, and and so two db, and and we just. You know, you'd have guys that have come into the culture. And then they just be part of it. If they didn't you know, if if they didn't buy in they weren't around very long. And so I have to say that culture was created back in eighty one with with Ronnie, and Joe and two white and Randy cross and keep form Horace and Tina Turner, Eric, right? And God bless those guys and it and it became the standard for so long. But I think. You start kind of feeling around in the dark, and if you've been away from the winning ways for you know, four or five years you start looking around and say, hey, who who even knows how to win this law firm. So you have to rebuild it. You have to you know, you have to bring in high character guys that are gonna fight through the the down times of suffering through a season like this, and that's it stinks. It's thanks for everybody thinks for fans. It stinks for you know, management coaches players players families, it stinks for everybody. So there's not a whole lot else. You can say which is why you gotta look for bright spots. You know, I'm sorry. You know, a couple of bad throws, Nick. Most look pretty darned good. I mean there are times where I think. Wow. This kid just came out of nowhere. And so I have to say the Seahawks are pretty dang good to right now. I I never thought I'd say that I was just jamming a couple of guys that were Seahawks fans this offseason like your whole teams gone. You're horrible. You'll have any players laughed and. Somehow, someway, they've put it together. So I guess good for them. I don't know. I. On our fifty. He's still mad about that. That's bad. Remember the fewest amount of wins. You had. Yes. What was it mean in the Niners? Yep. Yes. It was ten and it felt like it felt like to. We didn't go to the play offs. We're eliminated last week and the Redskins when we had that was a year. I think. Let's see. Joe got hurt. Steve got her St. Budweiser played really. Well, I think we had a a few fluky things happen. And then we didn't go to we're ten and six didn't go. I think our last game. That was the the bears that we had one like fifty five dollars the famous game where we're supposed to run the ball in my in yellow, Steve that's right bonus ball. Incentive. I need another cats for game grand or whatever. It was take. What? Got a negative one yard care. There you go celebrated. Outdone like, a sweet dance move or something. How good is that though your career with the Niners? Ten wins was the worst guy. How it's pretty amazing. This is the no go ahead. You can go to the playoffs in eleven years. This is the this is the fourth straight year. They've lost ten or more. Five eleven two and fourteen six and ten in there to ten. That's a good punch. Yeah. That's not good. No, it's not. I mean, we've had some suffering years in the bay area every single franchise as you can remember those years, and I can remember them growing up a lot of lean years with with the Niners in the seventies. Maybe from seventy three to eighty one. And then there was the giants had some lean years more than a few as did after winning some of those championships or just like half, my wife was a lean year. Sure. In the first couple of years that they haven't had as many in. You just think about those times in the fans that we still have they just they just suck it up. And I think that's part of being a fan is there's times where it's not great. And that's what truly I believe. That's what makes winning so sweet. And it just tastes so good to win. You can just see like winning with the warriors fans right now just. We'll never get old and celebrating those championships because you remember how lean and how would on how miserable some of those years works. And I think that's that's the beauty of sport. Other than the patriots. Nobody wins every year. Well, they're the patriots are can like you guys were back during the are back during your run where they just they they win and they win they win. And they win some more than they continue to to win. And it's pretty impressive the way, you know. Obviously you guys had Joe and Steve in word. We're fortunate to have to hall of fame quarterback back to back. They've had Brady the entire time. But it goes to show you like how important Bill has been. He may go down as the greatest coach of all time. And then wall, she was one of the greatest coaches of all time, it goes to show you on portent that is and how important having good assistant coaches are and then and then having the right players and then having the leaders in the locker room, and it really is from the from the top down. I mean craft has been fantastic. Eddie was fantastic for you guys. Obviously, they're both very very different in their temperament personnel. But it does. I mean, you don't think about it. Because you for us. We just watch what's on the field. But it it it bleeds into everything doesn't it. You know, what truly does. And I don't know you've seen a lot of great wise things over these many years you've been on the radio better rank right up there. Perfect comparison. No seriously. Those those things all matter, and it's more than just one or two great players. And it's more than just a great quarterback in this day and age you've gotta have it throughout the organization and ours started with Eddie, and he gave Bill and John McVeigh the license to go out and get the best. And if that means hiring the best. Coaching? Head coach or head coaches best coaching position coaches, and you had to pay him a hundred grand more, whatever it was at the time, you know, battle mattered, and you. Integrated everybody into the way that we ran the system, and it was a system that had unbelievable players. And it was started by Bill Bill Walsh from the coaching in and it was so innovative and in significant every coach that came last with that same approach to winning football. And they brought it other places and want to continue that for so long. Truly takes buying from the owner. The GM is, you know, the player personnel guy to type of players are getting you have to have some fluidity in the in your personnel. Right. You can't. I mean, I'd love to have Joe play. He's forty five Joe wasn't gonna play till he's forty five. And so find a guy likes to you that could you know, could pick up were Joe left off and the style of play in the type of player the type of person the guy the. Shockingly and Tom you'll you'll appreciate this not every guy is ultra competitive in the in the pros. You know? I mean, yeah, they wanna win. But maybe they want their money or they wanna play. Well, and they'd rather score thirty then win the game. And so. It's funny because fans don't appreciate that not. Every guy loves just loves the game. Not every guy just has to win or he's in the tank, and he's frustrated and he's angry. And he's watching film not every guy takes care of himself and does smart things during the season. And so you get enough of those guys in the locker room. And no matter what the the solid in great players on the team do cheer teams not gonna win. 'cause we're just gonna always be, you know, cracks and your armor. And that's just the way it goes. So we've all seen that. Now your Cowboys looking down Maris their quarterbacks look insane. A good running game again to stay out of that Salvation Army bucket fine for that. It just shows you the difference between thinking the world is ending. And this is a good example for forty Niner fans the world is ending. We're light years away from being a playoff team. Jason GARRETT'S gonna get fired the big the big part of that is because they had no receiver that was a threat. So there's not one defense in the league they cared about the Cowboys wide receiver. So they could blitz. They could play eight and nine man fronts Ezekiel Elliott can't get more than two and a half yards. A carry. There's tons of pressure on deck Preska and there's nowhere to throw the ball. You get one guy one player. They all of a sudden defenses have to account for and it changes the way that they can play defense. Okay. Now, you can't put a guys in the box. Now Zeki has more lanes. Now, he's lighting it up in even the other. Receivers are starting to to make some impact in Amari Cooper is all over the place, and they win a bunch of games. And everybody thinks you all the Cowboys are back. It's unbelievable. It was one guy just because of the style of defense that was being played against them because they did not have a threat dolled out match up. And if you don't have a threat running the ball, and you don't have a a threat receiving the ball. Your offense is gonna be in trouble. It just is the way it is. And so we have to keep that in mind going forward. I mean, we've had some some really good receiver play intermittently throughout the year. But do we have though, the one guy that's gonna cause defenses to say, hey, we have to play these guys differently, and that's gonna change things. So for the Cowboys, it's people can talk about this that and the other thing their defense is is playing pretty good, and it has been all year, and that saints thing, maybe wasn't anomaly, but that's. It's just the one thing that happened that changed the whole season for them. Not you certainly we joked that I'm a Cowboys fan, but I have to watch it and listen to it all the time. But it was it was pretty simple to figure out when you watch the games. Now. Do you wear drew Pearson shirt or a rubber new house? I go Michael Irvin..

"Why were they living in a small apartment with Courtney Scott, I do not know when they're at the top of the world yet like those spin-offs where they went to like it was so forced like when they went to Miami Cornyn. Clearly that was funny. They had a dash really made tense when Courtney Chloe went to the Hampton. That was the word I was close to not want to be there corners of boring and wanted to live on a lake and like do yoga. And that was really for her and Chloe out there. Even though she was just starting a relationship with French Montana, and she was like such a bad place, but the Lamar stuff, and she went as a good sister that was the worst spin off, I think ever ever and not only were they not like it made no sense. In the right place to do it, but it's also like the Hamptons are pretty boring unless you're going out all the time which they don't. So it's like a house and buyer pool and that's it. Yeah. And it's like there are. There is a very small party scene in the Hamptons, but it's like private. They're not gonna fucking spill it. Right, and I don't see we're hitting that up. This was like before ever started drinking? Yeah, except I think French and chloe's to party dhimmitude. That's why they did Chloe always forget. She's the youngest of those three. Right. So that makes is used to go like she was a CO. Yeah. So I don't blame her about its just of them old married ladies now. Yeah, because it was party girl so crazy. It's crazy the jenness like every time you think they're at their height, and then it's only like, all good things must come to. It hasn't ended.
