Warriors Roster Forecasting, LeBron on Wax, Keep It Movin' and More
This broadcast is brought to you by the thirteen heavy machinery operators who Doug this radio stations foundation, the fifty three ironworkers who laid the rebar, the twentieth cement workers before the floors, the twenty four lectures, ten elevator contractors, Twenty-three carpenters, plumbers, twenty Mason's twelve, glaziers nineteen mechanical contractors and the hundreds of thousands of workers maintain the nation's power grid and radio towers. Also, you can hear me words like terms and conditions limited time or Kasey zero trucks. Joe be there. There are talkers and their doers, timberland pro work. Apparel and footwear always do never done. Jalen and Jacoby on ESPN. Yup. Stupid. In for Jalen rose. We have the honor of being blessed with the presence. Of podcast for multiple podcasting outlets screenwriter. And our friend, Ryan russillo. Thank you so much. What up, bam. How are you FAM? I'm really good man. I was so excited this morning. I woke up early. Even the producers are like, when are you going to get here? I said, maybe might roll in a little later than normal. I show up an hour and a half early. That's pumped. I was. That's exciting. I, I did say Bryan knows he's on the show today, right? Jalen Jilin also thought he was on the show today to he called me, call me like an hour. You're like, do we have a show today? No, Jalen. Now you're three of us would have been great though they would've it would've so you're drinking Perrier. And I said, one thing that shocked me about Europe is day like deep, sparkling water. Is there kind of default water setting Stillwater is to Europe with sparkling water is to the US and it absolutely blows my mind that that's their go to. 'cause I have trouble putting sparkling water down because so many bubbles. Okay. Now if you just don't like sparkling water, then that's that's your deal. Maybe you go less carbonated wine like Pellegrino. Perrier when I was in Germany, that was the thing is it was apple Saft is we would do this deal where you didn't just, you didn't just get apple juice for some through deal. You got this fruit and liquid like it was almost this this not gel, and you would mix it with soda water, and so you would have like an apple soda. And then of course, Europe is a legal to have ice cubes anywhere you can't get breaking ice cube anywhere in any of those countries. So yeah, I'm I'm not surprised by you being thrown off by this because I remember when I first experienced apple that I was like, what am I going to mix my own apple juice here? And that's how it works. Well, I'll do a spend on occasion, a spinner, fun occasion. But generally I like my my water still and that led to a plane pickups hoop conversation. And then you basically, you've been on a tour of various podcasts talking about your pickup poops because everyone wants to hear about other people's pickup hoops. It's kind of like bad poker pizza, fantasy teams like, dude, I get it, but I don't care. That you lost in your pick approves game and missed the final shot? No, my thing is simply like, how much longer can you go? Because I think you understand it as you get older and you think like I still in my head, feel like I have this great summer ahead of me. I don't know if the summer just passed. So apparently. But when I started talking about moving to Manhattan beach as a cat found a couple of pickup games, I expressed on two different pods. I said, yeah, you know, shooting around, I wasn't sure I hadn't played, you know, full court and a while and these younger do the play, and I pointed house get and see that many big guys. So I thought maybe I'll be able to score a little bit more here because it's not a ton of size. Well, in my podcast tour of talking about that pickup game Jacoby. The one of the dudes it was in the game was apparently I thought he was kidding, and he DM me on Instagram being. Let me know. Next time you wanna show up. I was one of the smaller and he puts smaller and quotations. People that you played against. And I was like, is this dude upset? So then I was like, ha ha, you know, I'm forty three. I'm just happy to not get hurt silence. So I think these dudes ghosted. Yeah, I think these guys were actually upset that I described them as being smaller when. You know, I so now I'm kind of annoyed where I wanted Lynn go back and be like, are you guys really want to do this? What you really that mad that I said on a podcast that I didn't think anybody, so we're gonna be right now. I love this. That is not where I started this to go. And now I want to go down. So you play pick up those who probably like twelve people. Right. And then they're just like regular human beings. No, like college players or anything. We're actually good players. They were decent players this you call them smaller because they probably worse smaller, which is something that they can't really control. You know, like it's like it's not disrespectful if you like, you know, suspect it was like these guys were ugly or they like were jerks, but you can't control how tall you are. So I don't know why they would be upset by you can play you pointing out a fact about them. Well, I've noticed this though, smaller people get really mad about sometimes being called smaller, and my only point was that you know being older in wondering how you're gonna go that day. You're like, well, you know what? If there's not a six, six rim protector out there in a pickup games. I'm going to have some cleaner looks, but this, I guess this is real. I've thought about a response, I think. Yeah, I think you should workshop at for a while. Come up with something good short, but good and just see where it goes from here and give us an update next time on Jalen and Jacoby. Did you just do it short but good that what you meant? Yeah. Was talking about him does actually directed at him. He's not gonna. DM metoo. Sorry, Stephen in Manhattan beach. The I've noticed that my quote unquote, smaller friends that like my smaller friends are the ones more likely to kind of start a bar fight. Yeah, it's just like it's like I've got one friend who won't be named Rahm and it's just like, Ron, like, what are we? It's like, I know you love. I know you love the giants dude, but like we don't have to have to start an argument with like the Redskins fans across the bar because the giants are ahead by fourteen points. Like, let's not. Let's not. And honestly, I think at this age there's better reasons to fight. No, this and that. And these teams? Yeah. Yeah, good point saying, I'm not saying definitely do it saying, you know, the older you get the higher the threshold is of like things that will make me angry at a bar. You know what I mean? Like there's like you can do so many things to me at a bar, and I would just like turn this not even care and just turned around and ignore you. When you know twenty years ago, it would be like a thing. But now it's just like you could disrespect my mom family kids, my wife, you slap me in the face be like, okay, man, we done here because I want to get back to watching the nuggets raptors. Yeah, I have a good spot on here. I'm gonna mind. Forget I don't. I don't know why. I don't know why we need to start a fight over this dude in jersey. Bech Reggie's got a new button on the soundboard. He's really excited about the I laugh. The quiet laugh. I mean, I woke up west coast to just multiple texts going. What is this? Isn't it amazing. It took. It's basically a decade to figure out how weird this is like, we'd never heard a person laugh. It's one of the five best players of league. Well, now if I don't know if you've done this deep dive, don't even that deep dive anymore. Other people have done the deep dive to compile all of the Colli laughs over the years. And I would say the one from media day in Toronto is like it's probably like six on the top ten weirdest coli laughs like there's some. They're just grunts he's a weird laugher I'm not sure quite Leonard is going to be a great. Hang not sure he's a great, hang. Yeah, but he might be one of those low maintenance guys, like I have a few low maintenance guys are trying to put together a guys trip here for a football game coming up in about a month and, oh, we've figured out most of the roster and now a lot of times like the roster is who just plugs into any situation who's alot maintenance guy, not not give me peak, fun guy, give me just can adapt to any surrounding. And maybe that's quite about you need like Taj Gibson. You don't need your Taj. Gibson of the hang like, you don't have to put up twenty points, dude, be solid. Don't turn the ball over. You know, don't don't have your own plans. Wanna do this of that. So I want to talk about this because my group of friends, the giants fans every year. They go to a road game and they all were giant's jerseys, and they tailgate and get hammered and like stories come out of the weekend in every Jacoby. Why aren't you going? Why aren't you going? And I always have to come up with excuse. But the fact is I don't wanna do that. I just don't want to do that. Are you doing the patriots road game? Is that what I would? I would never do an NFL thing. I would also never do it on a Sunday, you know, because then guys are just, you know, the next thing. You know, it's Wednesday before you're figuring out again. And then just kind of during the day thing too, you know? So that would be no, it's a, it's a college football game, excel issue. It's an experience so we are putting together. We have the roster, almost one hundred hundred percent feel, but trying to get it. I know. I don't know. No, no, no, I, I just people are gonna listen to this podcast. I gotta worry about like Barack asking to be in, you know, you think the pickup guys are offended by this cast. He's got a real frightens. They're now going to be offended by the pilots. Wait LSU Ryan. No, I'm saying your real friends are I went to LSU now nine invited to bat, Tom Cruise. Have you been a battle Rouge before? Numerous times I've been to this game almost every year for the last decade. So I've missed one to a night game there, and it was. Is high energy? Yeah, it's the best. It's absolute best people the best Baton Rouge. Great Louisiana's state himself. Everybody knows my routine love the whole thing. But hey, when you do these trips or when you bail on them available, one hundred percent. Do you have divorced friends yet? Not yet. No. Well, in my thirty. But my wife does, which is kind of a win for me. You know what I mean? How like all the couple of your friends, you know? Yeah. But you know, my friends hundred percent. Yeah, I don't have it shocking that out of like one core group that I have. I don't have any divorce friends yet. We're all sort of shocked about this development at this point, but I've hung in these trips. We'd like, you know, there's sort of electron sharing of people. We like, I know that guy, but I don't know this dude, I've noticed a pattern now is guys are getting older, is the divorce guy that rolls into town roles in with an entire different syllabus? Yes, yes, I think that's very fair. That's very fair. Another thing they'll will offend my friends that listen to the podcast hopefully registered puts at the end so they won't get there is I don't. I don't enjoy bachelor parties. I think that's, I don't think this is just like a meeting. I think that bachelor parts are changing over time. Like I like I've missed the majority of my friends, bachelor yard. Well, that's bad because you should just step it up and go. And if you didn't like them early on, then you know, that's I guess you're more mature, whatever. But whenever this stuff kind of happens and people get older, I hear people say, oh, I don't like Vegas anymore. Well, is it that it's Vegas fall? You forty with a couple of kids and your priorities are different your minds in the different space right now. So is this Jacobean is twenty eight? He didn't like bachelor parties or Jacoby getting a little bit older with some dependence on the tax return saying that it's not for him. Well, I mean, one thing I want to make clear is I love vices, and I love to battery and I love all things immoral. Like it's not like a moral thing. It's just there's something about the hive mind, the itinerary in some of these are international. There's a lot of that going on where I'm just like, wait a second. Like this was in Jersey City. We could do this. But like I don't want to have to get a passport for like a three day trip, which is going to cost me ten days of my life for tobacco, the Vegas thing, the people that don't like Vegas have done Vegas wrong in the past because there is a Vegas for everybody, and we all know this like there is a completely sober comp- like there's a good shopping in Vegas, good restaurants in Vegas. You can do Vegas in any way you want to the people that say they don't like Vegas, just really did it wrong previously and just are still in the shame spiral from nineteen Ninety-seven. Yeah, I think that's totally accurate. And I first time in New Orleans, I was like, I'm good. I never need to come back here. All right. And all I handled was like a four block radius right in the middle of it all. And now that I've explored the city and Ben down there with people that are from there. It's it's one of my favorite places to go place that I thought I wanted nothing to do with ever again after my twenty s. Baton Rouge is a nice to our of your three day trip in Vegas. I mean bourbon street, purpose streets, a nice, three hours of your three trip in Vegas. Reggie just got in my ear and said that was two thousand five. Something happened to Reggie, two thousand five. We need to get that story some other time right now, it's time to give the people what they want. Thirteen years. Computer execute twelve point, four p. operation. Optimizing algorithm running encryption, packet alpha, Knight, Knight. Oh, I don't feel so good. What? What is it computer? Is it hot in here? It feels hot in here. I feel a little clammy. I should lie down or something a computer with a virus. Surprising. What's not surprising how much you could save by switching to Geico those oysters. Rockefeller were a mistake. Geico. Fifteen minutes could save you fifteen percent or more well, out of media day there's a lot to discuss. It seems like everyone is just so enamored with the Colli Leonard robot laugh that they've really missed the sneaky stories to come out of Toronto. There is a report that Kyle Lowry franchise cornerstone. Cow Lowry has not respond to calls or text from the new head coach nurse and GM Cy Serey. All summer long. Jiri I said, I always say right, at least you get Nick nurse. Yeah, I got knickknacks Ryan. Where does that tell you about where calories head is that? He's been ghosting two of the most important people in the franchise all summer long. Okay. Like a lot of stories you look at this and you go can understand Lowery. He's upset to Rosen was dude. We kinda love their comedy duo routine in the last couple of years, and now he's out of there. But if you just added a better player and coach, and if you're Lowery in Europe set, let's not forget you're making thirty mil over the next couple of years, and it's not always about the money making everything easier, but he has an almost untradable contract at this point. And the biggest reason that Toronto shook this thing up is because you and your buddy to Rosen, couldn't get it done in the playoffs for multiple years. This is in some small sample size you into rose and have been rather underwhelming your entire playoff career in Toronto, and that's being nice about it. So yes, you can be upset, but what do you expect a franchise to do? They had to change some things and. Instead of you being traded, it was your teaming. It's interesting because it's you're making perfect sense when you say that, but you gotta remember that everyone's a hero in their own movie of cow. Lowery looks in the mirror. He's not like, oh, you know what? Me and two Rosen couldn't really get it done. I'm so glad they brought in a better player and shook this thing up. He's saying means a Rosen where the duo that we're going to bring this city championship. I can't believe you trade away my best friend and I brought in this robot basketball man that got they like forced his way out of San Antonio. But at the same time you're not contractually obligated to respond to Texan phone calls over the summer, but they are paying you as you mentioned about thirty million dollars a common courtesy. Maybe like one of the people in your life gets in your ear and says, hey, man, maybe it'll just be make your life a lot easier for the next year. If you just send an emoji back with a smiley face when they holler at you and then people like Ryan russillo and David Jacoby won't be talking about this in four months. Like it just seems like it's just not great strategic planning from him to be ghosting. Basically his bosses. All summer long. It just seems like a bad idea tells me that he is very upset about this. The Rosen thing, which is not gonna be great for chemistry. You can be upset, but you can also be professional. And I think that's the whole point of this. Is that the upset until the point, I'm sure, Dwayne, Casey being bounced out after winning coach the year probably has a little something to do with this, but the hero in your own movie things. Perfect scripture, because a lot of times are you really honest with yourself about how culpable you are in a failure? I mean, think about all of us do this for a living doing that well and be like, oh, it's the slot and our producers. It's not just this business where people are not honest with themselves about how culpable they are. Of course, of course. But when you're talking about team setting and and actually having like, look, you're not related to your teammates, but you are traveling family now for about seven months and a team that has a chance to maybe do some things here in the east. So at some point you have to get on the same page or at least talk this out. She you're not starting the season with some sort of cloud, the excited. I know you're gonna be excited that you have quiet lease for year. It is a good point. Because you talk about this family and everything, and we always see what they do on the basketball court, but they spent so much time in the hotels and on the team plans. And when you take your best friend out of that scenario and you add in a guy that laughs like this. It does seem like it's just going to be awkward like it's just gonna be awkward during all those off court moments and Larry's like, oh, I'm committed to winning. I'm committed to winning. That's what I'm here to do. I'm here to win. It's like, all right, dude. Do you helps you win building relationship with your brand new head coach that helps you in building relationship with your GM that will help you win winning isn't just like working out in the off season and working on your heavy jump shot. Like you also need to have these off Corp relationships that will build chemistry that will build wins for the Toronto Raptors. You can't soak all season long. You just you can't do it. You can't do it that way. However, maybe a little upset bonus to the co I laugh is what if he's that guy out of the group of your friends that does laugh at all your jokes when I host radio shows with Adnan Virk, nothing made me feel better about myself. I would leave that studio after three hours of that and berko and damn it. I'm funny clever. Everything I say is on point because Adnan lasted everything. And here's another thing coli at. Adnan connections to Toronto some longer than others. So what if what, if cool is the ad man of that raptors locked, Kyle Lowry is going, you know what? I'm hilarious. I didn't realize I was this funny until quite became my teammate. I love what you did there. However, there is a downside because you always love that friend that lasts all your jokes put if they laugh like this might have to pre but have depreciating value over time. You know what I mean? I'm not sure I wanted. I wanted to add not to call. I left to follow me around. That's perfect. He's only you know how many things are gonna be there after this year. So laterally them one thing that Masai has been working on that I find a little bit puzzling based on their roster is he's injected himself into the Jimmy Butler sweepstakes there's rumors that the Toronto Raptors are interested in talking to whoever it is that you talked to in Minnesota about acquiring Jimmy Butler will JR had the latest Jimmy Butler update drama. When he wrote this, that I found interesting quote. Some interested teams are working to bypass late in and go directly to wolves. Ownership of trade offers offers teams dealing with Minnesota, describing unusual level of confusion. Some have heard separately from Taylor and the late intimidate management team with apparent coordination between the two levels of Minnesota's organization. That guy a little confusing for me even as I read it, but basically, no one knows who to talk to if you want to trade for Jimmy Butler. What does that tell you about? What's having a Minnesota? I'm surprised that this is seen. Is that odd because you should know if you're another NBA team, you're in the front office. You tell your owner to call Glenn Taylor, the t. wolves. I remember doing a baseball radio show. This is like twelve years ago. Now, with Steve Phillips, remember say, listen to every episode I loved the baseball show was. So I remember talking to him about being GM whether it was on the air off the air, and he told me he go, well, if I couldn't get a deal done with the GM he's like, I just go to wilpon. I'd go to the owners of the Mets. I'd say, hey, look, let's just like I'm. I'm not going to tell the GM I'm doing this, but you just call the other owner and and set up the deal. So guys have been doing this forever in this role, and it's even more important because I think what we see here is this power struggle Jacoby of an ownership in Minnesota. That's like, wait a minute. If Tim's is about this year and keeping Butler. Well, that doesn't do any good for me, especially if I'm not on the same page as my now coach and GM which is owned challenge. So I actually think this is fairly easy to follow and makes a lot of sense as frustrating as it may be for other teams. If you're another NBA team, just have your owner call Taylor problem solved. And if so, his things, if you are another NBA team, are you a little concerned about trading for Jimmy Butler who's a great player, but doesn't all of this raise some red flags, like doesn't all devalue Butler a little bit. If you are another GM or owner on another team, I used to be very pro Butler with Chicago, but doesn't this make you think that year later with another franchise already at this point? Like what is it about him now? Like. Have you flipped it all on Butler and how you feel about him as a teammate? Well, here's, there's a lot of red flags, Jimmy Butler, but there is none bigger than this. He has an aquarium in his home. Their shape is a boombox. Biggest red flag in Chicago demand has an aquarium in his home shaped like a boombox, knowing that the whole point of the aquarium is to look at the fish and like eighty percent of the glass is covered with boom box and it doesn't even look like a cool boombox at that, like it's have a boombox aquarium, but a poorly executed boombox aquarium. That is the biggest red flag that I see with Jimmy Butler. And you cannot disagree with me because I am correct. I'm not going to give you an an option to retort I doing on. I know I know that there was a fish tank show. Yes, I wanted to not know. You did tell me that there was a fish tank show. There's two tank shows right? Dealing waiters Dion waiters enjoyed his off season. We can tell because at media day they took pictures of Dion, waiters Dion, waiters. I looked at it. Look at the. Picture right here looked at it and I was like, is that the waiters were your thoughts when you first saw these pictures of the waiters to different angles? You can go here. One is the guys coming off a major ankle injury, and you know, maybe he doesn't love the row machine and you know what I mean? He put on smell vs. All right. So that's that to be fair to him. This is something coming off an injury, but you know what I love in social media is how we're all handing out morality and sometimes in doses that we've needed. Right. I think some of us needed to be updated on what's cool and what is in cool anymore. But people are really conflicted when it's the male athlete, and they really wanna body shame because you're like, hey, how come Brady's not more Jack in my body shaming right now, what's going on with waiters right pet. Is it? And then it's, you know, like some of the people that are the most socially aware and can condemning anything for also still like, man. I got a really good tweet to fire off here in fat Dion waiters. Oh, yeah, I have no, no, no hesitation about of body shaving Dion waiters. The guy is a professional athlete. His job is to be in shape. I think he's fully polishing Brady body shame anybody because I also have a dad. So let me tell you a little story. If you don't want to discuss it, you said, keep moving and the method man will pop up. Keep him moving. It's simple. Don't don't skip all of them, you know, don't skip all of them, but definitely deadly. Hit the hit, the brakes on the Cavs, the Cavs, photo, shoe. Does the hit the brakes on. Nah, I thought that's the plug on. No, that's that's the just took the screeching brakes. That's. We get a different guest, please can we that car speeding. I thought that was wait a second. I don't think he's working out. I mean, I think well, too bad start. I thought you said the brakes book, man. Oh, man, plus simple segment as I had to break sound in my car. Thank Kevin Hart for joining us. Hey. Let's stop. Let's play. Keep moving. All right. We know. That works. If you wanna discuss the topic, you say, hit the brakes. If you don't me you in math, man, we'll keep moving. Are you ready? I am ready first topic. The NFL is reportedly rethinking one of its rules keeping moving or hit the brakes, hit the brakes. Okay, the competition committee, a bunch of people that gets go, they're having a meeting and they're discussing the roughing. The passer rule that had been so controversial this season. If you were in this meeting with the competition committee, how would you suggest? They change the rule? Why can't cuss, because this is not on this program. This TV where you cuss exactly. I did a joke about it. We talked about it earlier, but football is football, so I know that people are getting hurt, and I noted the game is very physical, but I don't feel you can compromise the game of football. So there's a fine line between safety and compromising the competition. I don't think that quarterback should not not be hit. The game is get to the quarterback. So the quarterback doesn't beat you for the most part. That's the biggest threat on the field. Although you have great receivers in great running backs, ultimately boils down to your quarterback. So you know the quarterback has to understand that the physical natures and the game. Sometimes you're gonna get hit. You're gonna get human beings. They're trying to hit you. Yeah, white castle has teamed up with the Wu Tang clan, but keeping moving to hit the brake, hit the brakes on. There's partnership between the Wu Tang clan specifically Rizza goes face three. My favorites. Okay. They've teamed up with white castle because they are. Promoting the impossible sliders. Impossible sliders are sliders that are not made of meat. They're made of sort of meat, replacement fake meat for vegans. Okay. Well, you know, you learn something new every day. Who knew this? Who knew that Tang was in hell somewhere white castle. They were like, okay, we need the aging hip hop, head vegan demographic to come into the store. How can we get this done? When love the note that meeting I would love the hair goes phase pitching on why. Need the ultimate birds. That's what happened the. I'm the, I love white castle. You ain't never had in for me. Moving on. Jerry Smith explained the mistake that he made during game. One of the NBA finals, the brakes. Well, he's said, this is my favorite. He said, we all make mistakes k. for my teammates to know that in have my back, that wasn't bed. That's what they said when he was in the room. Okay. What did they say when he left the room? You got to be kidding me. You got to be kidding me. We had to gang. We had it. Did anybody that anybody else not known? None noon on. I knew I definitely knew the school was I knew. Did anybody think that he did? No, no, we thought he knew we thought he was going back up with it because we thought we didn't know why he went back out of the three. We didn't know we lavar. It's like, I'm definitely leaving this team going to Laker JR's one of my guys. I know him and I understand what he means says, everybody makes mistakes and they do as a person has made mistakes. I'm with you. That was a tough one. It was a big one, and there was a moment where if you guys had won that game series could have ultimately been different, but the best way to recover from it is the bounce back and have a magnificant magnificent season man. So you know, shut your naysayers up, putting that ball in the basket. That's what I was saying. Joe Smith still on the Cavs, and the Cavs had a very interesting photo, shoot on media day. Keep moving her, hit the brakes, hit the brakes. Well, what the Cavs decided to do on media day where they take pictures of the whole teams, they decided to dress up their whole team like this. This is what they did. They all dressed up as Bob Ross, then decided to fake paint with fake afros on Kevin Hart. What are they doing. Is one of those days. You gotta realize all ideas aren't good idea. No, and people don't know that they're not good ideas into people go, hey, man, this is stupid. They don't get that was like the corner. Let's do that. Let's do that in the boss is like, let's trust them up like Bob Ross and everyone's like that. Even though he's the boss as a boss, I'm a boss, I'm I have bad ideas. If you don't have the people around you to go man, that's not a good idea. Do maybe an afro. Pay. We don't need to afros. I don't think we need it rapper little zinn claims. He was hospitalized because he ate too many flaming hot Cheetos keeping moving there at the break at the break. There's nothing. I don't wanna hear. Topics? Well, little in went to the hospital said he had some stomach problems, and he said he said it was the case of too many flaming hot Cheetos. I don't believe him. Don't you think he could've come up with a better excuse for why he went to because a lot of flaming Cheetos problem going to be with you, but you'll have to bring a fire, not not stomach. Is okay. Now it's the rest of it. Finally, there's a new film coming out. It's supposed to be funny, starring Kevin Hart haddish called night school. Would you like to hit the brakes on that topic? They hit the brakes on this one. As a matter of fact, let's start in halt. Go see the movie, man, September twenty eighth. We drop comedy at his best heart and haddish doom. We do delivering laughter and we're doing it with a positive message. So it's not something you want to miss. Thank you so much for coming on the shank. You may always appreciate it. Come back anytime I didn't keep it moving on. Nothing. You don't understand the segment. Yeah, try explain to you. Moving on. Right? There's a lot of pictures taken on MBA media day, but one of them stood out to me and it is this one. This is a picture of a projected starting five for the Golden State Warriors in this is in my opinion, the best starting five I've ever seen in my entire life. However, because I like to make things negative. Which one of these players do you think will not be on the team next year when they have media day? Well, this is too easy because honestly, boogie cousins shouldn't be eligible for this because it's the easiest pick to go with him. He's not gonna. Come back at that number is a one year deal, five mil. He wanted to regain his value in this league. He wanted to get a ring. There's no way he's going to be back there next year. If you really wanna make this challenging, you exclude him from it and you have to pick one of the other four. Okay, right. Excluding because which one of these players I think will not be on the team Next Media day. I don't wanna say Durant, but I would say of of all the things the moving pieces, the way his his contract has been structure that kind of stuff like he's, you know, Klay could bounce too, but you'd have to put money on Durant even though I'm not sure what I believe in this stuff I hear in the off season, you. I don't think Draymond green is long for the warriors. I would say that he is the one person that I could see leaving that team. I don't think that he's going to be excited about taking a discount to stick around. I think Bill cousins is easy, but I could even see a world where they do some roster shaking, Billy really pans out for them. He seems to be more important piece than the clays in the dream of the world. But one of the most intriguing things is is if you win three state straight championships, which is very likely three straight championships, like do you really wanna make changes the really and then. Tax Phil is going to get to the point where you know, I heard rumblings that they may get creative about this, you know, had they not wanted this year. So you know Durant Durant has been basically offered every off season, but you figure out the number that you want to get paid. And I imagine that will continue because Durant still going to be incredible. And you know, I think lost in everybody's hatred for this team. I think people have really stubbornly missed out on some amazing basketball and some incredible playoff performances because they don't want to admit how great this is. And I, I'm with you. I, I think it's the single greatest collection of talent I've ever seen on a team. Would you say hatred for this team? Is that like a real thing? Or is that just like a media echo chamber thing because college hoops, friends, love watching the warriors? Yeah, I think I think we're very predictable as people and that even when something's fun in new and popular, we find a way to hate it immediately like think about Steffes approval rating in the beginning. And then it's like e. t I say this all time. I think he's the most. Disrespected superstar in any team sport I've ever seen. I think that's fair to cute, but we on Dave mcmenamin had this little tiny nugget that I found interesting from talking with Luke Walton. He said that regime Rondo will be the starting point guard for the Los Angeles Lakers and it wasn't like, oh, until Lonzo gets back or something like that. He kinda like maimed his starter before they really started training camp. Is that intriguing to you? It really is because Rondo was terrific during the playoffs. But as I remind everyone, there's a reason why we call them playoff Rondo because regular season Rondos existed for a long time and has been a frustrating player. So if he's locked in with LeBron and he's peak Rondo I, it's, it's tough to be passed him. Now I look at some point. This Lonzo thing will sort itself out because you know, it's easy to say now the injury, hey, let's just do this and everybody can kind of me on the same page, but no one's there's going to be. I imagine really odd moments with this team where you're going to have a lot of people that are unhappy because it's very rare. Combination of guys on a roster half of its young dudes worrying about their place in this league and their next contract. And then a bunch of other vets that are still worried about their next contract on very short term deals, one year deals. Well, that's the thing about Lonzo. Rondo just happens. Rhyme is Lonzo is the future of the franchise like Magic Johnson is drafted this person in in rob Pelinka, they're vested in him. They want him to be on the team for years and Rondo signed to a one year deal basically saying like, you're auditioning for us. We'll see what happens next year. And at some point I feel like they'll be pressure to put Lonzo in front of Rondo. You can't really play them in LeBron at the same time. No interesting to see what happened. That'd be weird Iraq. I mean to think of of like, hey, is there another non shooting guard that we can get out there yet? Let's get more. But when you just said lonzo's futures team, I mean, you know, like to me now they're already on to the next planet of Lonzo keeps up great, but if he doesn't, I don't. I don't think they're looking at him as well. We spend number two pick LeBron coming here this summer changes any plan you charted with him. Right? I think that's fair. And also Lonzo could be someone who they build up the value of and then dump in a trade for someone looking at the Davis moving on LeBron James was asked about his loyalty to the Lakers and the LA fan base, and here's what he had to say. Expect to you respect and earned their loyalty? The fan base? Yeah. Move to say they wanna see you respect before your deal where you want me to. We talked to them outside of here yesterday. For you deal. I'm here so hit me. I know what brings him say on the floor. I think that this will be the last team LeBron James plays for in the NBA. You feel the same on let his son is good enough to play in the league. And I know you've talked about this on this show and I say, oh, I you, I sent you the text when you said it and I was like, people will just go Jacoby was just throwing stuff out there. No, I think there's a real desire for LeBron to in a situation play with his son if if it's good enough to play in the league, so I don't know if that would be with the Lakers. I think what you're saying makes sense. And I think when Cleveland people here that, you know, even though that this divorce was like, this is like when the kids are older and you can see your parents hate each other ones knowledge and has a kid themselves. It's like, oh, we both thought coming deal, right? Like when you're, you're freaking out going, why? Why do you hate me? And instead the Cleveland divorce LeBrun this time round is all right. But when you. You hear him say that when you're like you're doing one in one's every year with Cleveland, and then you do four with the Lakers. I think that's frustrating to Cleveland fans, but you know, whatever, we'll LeBron you just mentioned his child Lonzo who spoke about also has a child. Let's hear him explain that experience. Inner born kinda hit me. You know, that was the first time I was like when I was pregnant, I was like, but then when it finally got here, it was great. My girl was pregnant. I was kind of like. MacOS pretty kind of like a pregnant gophers pregnancies. She can't move. You got to wait on her hand foot. She's eating where things kids sleep. You're just like. Yeah. I mean, maybe this guy's better than we thought pressure moments. Terrific. He's got the Aaron Rodgers typeface in any situation that tells me maybe he's gonna be great. Maybe has the clutch a love, a love where you went with this. I love women. This is just like, look, man, he's just calm under pressure. That's what it means. He makes. Child, no big deal hitting shot, waning sex with the NBA finals. No big deal, unfavorable, Lonzo ball. See I was about to Heyzer for this. You flipped it the other way made me feel like a bad person. Great work by you run russillo. I try. I try to keep him, you know, a moving target. I've tried like I like it very much. I actually to go negative. Everything does. I like it. I like it. Well, let's do something fun and positive. The cast. They also had their media day. They took some photos at their media day and some of their photos were these photos of their entire roster dress up like Bob Ross. My question for you is in the marketing meeting when they're like, look, we only have one day to take these photos. Why did they hatch this plan to dress the entire up, like Bob Ross, at least it's still sort of like, if not, it's not like the the flyers mascot gritty played out already, right? I give them some credit for this because there isn't a Bob Ross challenge. It's out there. We're different people, you know, of uploaded videos of them painting along with Bob Ross. So there's something that plays here. There's also part of me like, hey, we're not going to be very good. So let's throw a bunch of weeks these guys. So that scares me a little this to me. It's just like, I know who Bob Ross is. I've seen the show before. You know who Bob Ross is, you've seen the show before, but if you're trying to bring in the millennial, the young clevelander like is Bob Ross reference really going to get it done like he doesn't necessarily scream intimidation and power, basketball and high energy fund. To me, it just seems like maybe they're looking for like the forty five year old stone her to buy season tickets. So they dress them up like Bob Ross, high energy, fine. You're right. I don't think Bob Ross immediately, but he is kind of a legend. I don't know if there's some sort of resurgence here. I mean, everybody remembers back in the day, but we didn't have a lot of channel options in, you're like, all right. I mean, he's gonna either paints him, happy trees, and there's going to be a barn in the moonlight. That's fine. But you know what? This isn't. This isn't bad because there are so many times teams do do this kind of social media stuff. And sometimes it's so bad. There is this one NFL team. The other day that tried to do like a cool Instagram post after one of their own players scored a touchdown and the touch like the players, celebrating the touchdown in the team. I g post was excited when the other person's. Says that parents are not in the building. You just go like, I know what you're trying to do just like who's running your feed my dad. That feeling when thing? Oh God. Oh God, yes. Well, it is time for soft move or bucks. You don't need me to explain this to you. Saw over boss move. Tiger Woods was asked who his mount Rushmore of golf was, and here's his answer my all time, mount Rushmore golf. Okay. Well. Parties need. Jones. Nicklaus. Okay. It's a given that putting yourself in the mount Rushmore, if deserved is a boss move, but putting yourself last faking making it seem like you didn't replant it soft move, or boss move. I love it. All. Okay. Because when you can back it up, you should do stuff like this should answer questions this way. I would have hated it. Had he gone? Well, you know, I'm not dude. I mean, if you're not the greatest of all time, you're the second best golfer all. I mean, really, I think he's the greatest. You know, there's a different level of like when the backup QB says and training camp. He thinks he's actually the best QB in the league or Marvin Bagley says, I'm not winning rookie of the year. I'm gonna win. MVP like there's some absurd confidence, and this isn't what this is like. I would have been so upset Jacoby if he had left himself off of course, and then people go, oh, that's really awesome. HAMAs was. Raziq he made a dramatic at the end. He was like, and me. So you knew your yourself. And I would like to if he was like Nicklaus Snead myself, chichi Rodriguez be like, oh, okay, that's made it into a bit. That would have been a better move. Moving on LeBron James plays to the Lakers used to play for the Cavs. Not sure you knew that these are the sneakers that he's expected to wear on his first game with the Lakers. Those look like Cavs colors to me. Brian russillo wearing Cavs, colors on your shoes with a Laker uniform soft move or boss move. Do you think that's what it is though? Because the first release that he had on these, I missed out on them. We're two different shoes basically, like that was the first release on that one through five. I've liked his last couple shoes the last years. One were terrific. I do you really think this Cavs colored. I don't know. I'm gonna abstain. I don't think I can answer this one. Oh, really? Okay. Do you just ask, what do I really think those are. Cavs colors really. That is the Cavs like burgundy wine or whatever they call it that is exactly the shade. And if you're going to wear Percival just from a fashion standpoint, really does clashes with the purple and gold. That does not make the leave in all the colors in the rainbow to where that one too seems like someone somewhere, she'll be like, hey, Ron, how 'bout gained two. We break those out game one. We go with something a little more neutral or what if it's with the cheetah pattern of pro animal statement, especially California passing the no. There you go. I like I like it. That's actual real cheetah for though it's not moving on something that's very important to you and is both people from New England. Dunkin donuts has decided to change their name to Dunkin after seventy years. Ryan russillo Dunkin donuts, changing its name to Dunkin soft move, or boss move. It's a boss move because I think ninety percent of my friends Ernie thought it was called Dunkin. But the problem is they all thought to hold on guys for mass. You know, this Jacoby guys for mass plural is things that have never been clearer lies ever. I don't know what it is north. I was going to interrupt you because they'd knowing calls a Dunkin. They call it Dunkin's, but then you win with yourself. I got, I got your New England. I've got twelve buddies that are forty. That's still think it's captain Morgan's. Yes, this nightclub called exits like we're going to exits today. That's weird pluralism because he come on your name, right from Boston. Definitely. Plural is everything, but I think that this is really what this is this is they're trying to get away from the donuts because two thousand eighteen donuts are unhealthy and fries and caloric or whatever. But it's like guys, this isn't exactly you're not serving kale in there. You know what I mean? Like no one's going to Dunkin donuts because they wanna green shake and kale salad. Like we know what you guys are. You are what you are. You don't have to get away from what you are. Take. Keep the Dunkin donuts thing. I like the double d logo. That's fine. I understand it, but let's face it. Everybody that we knows. It's like we're making it Dunkin's run. They're talking about the coffee and they're not talking about anything is greatest. The hash Browns are and they're great. They're good. They're great. My kids love the hash Browns. So I've had a couple of recently moved on. We're very familiar with the shower beer, the shower beers, a staple of sort of like any Bros. weekend, but now there's a new wrinkle, the shower wine. Urban outfitters selling these things called CYP skis, where you put your one glass in your shower soft move, or boss move shower, one loss move. I love it. I love this. I mean everybody knows the shower beer, the college deal where it was almost weird if you guys didn't have them going, you know the sharing one bar. So that's entirely. I think we have that in the DS. We'll worry about that later. I think this is this is great because it's now it's it's for all genders. You know, I think there's a lot of women out there that were going, where's my shower beer? It's two thousand eighteen do have some concerns. One thing that's nice about the shower beers. There's this, the small top on the bottle. You don't get a lot of water mixing with the beer. The one goblet filter. You're going to get some water in there. We're going to have some water rewind. Perhaps we need some sort of like plastic cover to go on top of the sip sqi as well. Also when you're when you're using a Pantene or some of the heavier products out there and you get a lot of. Here and you're female. You're going to have to be a little bit safer than a natty light in the mid nineties. That's very fair. Very fair. Moving on this was a little complicated. Just take the ride with me. There's a gentleman in Northern Ireland. He's been arrested. Allegedly would happen is his neighbor died. So he went into his neighbor's home stole various items around the house, including the debit card use the debit card to buy all kinds of stuff, including running up a Bill of seven thousand eight hundred twenty three American dollars worth of Domino's orders. Ryen russillo buying eight thousand dollars worth of pizza. Using your dead neighbors, debit card, soft move, or boss move who's on the other side of this who who's who's arguing that it's a boss move? I mean, could do. I mean, a lot of could do it. Okay, but I don't could do what's what's the rule here on dead people jokes on a TV show. Well, we don't have a lot of rules here on ESPN two. You know what I mean? So he could get away with a little bit more. I'll go boss, move on this. Here's the thing, victimless crime who who's really who's who really gets hurt here. The credit card company, the credit card company that gets. Oh, yeah. Yeah. This I'm going against big business here. If you rely sent off with it. They're gonna, make the dead person pay the Bill and eight thousand dollars with. I feel like I would have gone. You get change your palate orders from different things at eight. Going on now, though, you know. Maybe he started a business. Maybe he bought those eight thousand all at once. Start selling them out of the back of the premium price who knows what's going on with a debit cards over there. Nobody's asking for a pin number or anything or just like you can just run up this more than this eight thousand dollars worth of pizza on this. At some point, this should raise the red flag in the computer system at the credit debit card companies who knows sounds like this, this deadly next door at a lot of money in their Bank account. Right? We have a daily show here Jimmy Jacoby and literally every single of the last eight days we have given an update on the Jimmy Butler situation. It's really captured us the way that the situation did. We're like there's a little tiny upset update every single day, but it's not really new news. I guess the new news today is that GM's are confused as to who they should talk to about a trade, but how do you feel this is played out like when you first heard that they were going to have a meeting? And then you heard that he sort of demanded a trade. How do you feel about Jimmy Butler? I've always been a huge Jimmy Butler fan and I'm gonna go ahead and give myself retroactive credit for this one in Chicago's radio station knows because when they drafted Butler and I watch him because I'm a big draft guy be like, why isn't this guy going higher? But it's because he'd been around a little bit longer, and I thought it was a terrific traffic and he turned out to be great player. And if you go back to Jimmy, I've got some dueling theories here. So let me or the space here. But when Jimmy was there and became the best player in the bulls eye was team Jimmy Butler. Rose came back. He was washed, it was injuries. It was his own approach and you watch them play as a team together and rose. You could see that he was annoyed that it was now Butler's team and Butler would be annoyed that rose still thought it was his team. So I was very much on Butler side and I feel like the bulls did some stuff, negotiating wise. It was a little nasty with him. So I'd always been pro Jimmy Butler. But here we are a year later and it's done in the same story, Jimmy's difficult. It's not great to get along. I don't know if something's going on. We'll Jimmy does. It's upsetting Jimmy because you're right. So hard. I can understand Jimmy being upset that Wiggins and towns maybe don't have that mental switch. It'd be like, hey voice. It's time to start figuring this thing out and being a little tougher because Butler's top. But I wonder if Butler actually is this difficult guy that heard about Chicago that doesn't get along with his teammates. I don't know something else is going on there because it's weird that wait a minute. Why are we almost through September now? And now we're here like, how could this not have been hand? What happened over the course of the summer that now it seems like. Butlers own locker room is turned against him. So he's somebody I've always backed and I still think is a terrific player. But I think you have to ask yourself about Butler the teammate and that you're trading for in this instance, one hundred ninety million dollar Bill with his extension. That's a good point. You make a couple of good points. This things I want to point out. Number one, the that you I did him during your your rigorous dress perforation, which I've seen you do before what you actually do when you ID somebody, it's like hiring somebody, you want them to succeed. Yes. Sometimes it's just like, oh, well, well, I decided that he was going to be good, so you're projecting some of his success on him, but he actually realized that success. But then even as it starts to go a little bit south and you're like, maybe this isn't exactly what it was you still kind of want them to succeed, but it's gone so far that even you have been maybe maybe maybe he's not the perfect player and teammate that we thought he was. And this also this, like you make a good point, whatever team does trade for him. You're trading for him, but you're also not just committing giving away some assets. To bring Jimmy Butler in. You're also committing a Khalil Mack thing where it's like I'm gonna trade for you, but now we're going to sign you to a long deal where you're making him kind of a franchise player. So it's not like, oh, we've got a couple of years left on contract. He's going to get paid to locked in amount. You kind of have to trade for Butler and then extend him, which makes it even more of a risk, which I'm not sure too many GM's are willing to take, which also makes Tom thibodeau and the people in Minnesota understand that they're going to get like seventy cents on the dollar for Jimmy Butler, which again makes it seem like this is going to take a lot longer than we think like in terms of timetable. When do you see something happening? Well, the fact that Taylor, the owner said, we're getting this done. I don't even think it'd be seventy cents on the dollar. You know, maybe a team like Miami makes more sense because they don't have the cap space. Some of these other teams, it would be in the market for Butler. Next summer they go, well, you know what would just move pieces around and see what you get, but my collection of just bad contracts. So I, I don't really know what's whenever you're doing deal like this gene, you need that one. Piece. You know, you're in this tough spot. It's another guy that's on his way out. You know, you're not gonna get the talent back. I need the one piece that maybe in three years as some kind of asset instead of all these moving pieces or I'm trying to talk my fan base into. But the other part of this that you bring up to is that if the rest of the league is world reports is frustrated because they're getting two different messages, we'll stop paying attention to the dibitetto message stop because he's not in control on this one. The owner is in tip somebody who I've always backed in Chicago. I love this guy. I've sat and talked basketball with him and he's is impressive. As anyone I've ever talked to talking about school, it makes me think I don't know anything about the game. Okay. But if he's going, we know Tibbs, hey, you can treat Jimmy for less players or you can try to get in the playoffs and win this year. And then it's not your problem if you're out of there and he's out outta there. I mean, that is we are selfish people. We're all selfish people in tips can be very much motivated by what's happening and just two thousand eighteen in two thousand nineteen. And if I'm the owner, I'm going, hey, man, like stop, stop taking calls on this one because our. Priorities are no longer aligned. Well, we'll see what happens, but I don't think anything's going to happen very soon. Well, there's an update that you brought to the rundown very excited about this topic. There's been this narrative about the Nike stock, all the Nike stock near, oh, how it's been tied to the con- cabinet campaign and the Nike stock has now risen six point, two, five percent adding illion dollars to the company's value Ryan. How much correlation do you see between the Nike campaign featuring cap, Nick and the stock. None zero. Okay. Let's not how stocks work now. Look, I'm going to be very consistent on this one. I was from day one when captured it was announced as a new ambassador for Nike, Nike stock went down like three percent that day and the right wing people out there who are selling their agenda. We're trying to say, oh, look at that. You know, cabernet, Nick, bad for business, right? You know, it wasn't like, hey, I know stocks. It's, hey, here's something that backs up my opinion. Okay. Now before everybody freaks out on me and goes, oh, we go liberal russillo. Nope, because here's the deal all of you now championing this whole thing in saying that that really that word didn't work out there. Championing is what I mentioned. Painting the painting either one works really for this show, but all of you saying this proves that everybody loves capper, Nick and the company. This stock has been on a tear for fifty two weeks. Okay. A year ago, it was fifty bucks a share now. It's in the low. Low eighties, this isn't how stocks work folks. It isn't. So for those that were blaming capper, Nick for a small decrease for Nike stock you're wrong. And on the other side of the left saying that this proves that everybody loves capper, Nick, Yay. Rod like go Nike. There's so many other factors, Nike beat earnings. It's a great product. The stock has been on a tear for one straight year here. Both sides are selling an agenda that they want to believe instead of actually paying attention to how the market works. Are you trying to suggest that there's other variables that play that affect Nike's value as a company that Bill multibillion dollar company besides one of their commercial campaigns? That's what I'm suggesting. Well, my obviously you have some sort of Genda I wanna thank Ryan russillo for coming on. I want to remind you that you listen to the russillo show on ESPN app. Anybody. Listen to podcast. It's an excellent listen, and we'll be back tomorrow. We're not. In my little guys. I love.

We are going to take a deep dive on the Jimmy Butler to the Sixers trade that happened on Saturday. But we'll also try and find time in this podcast to maybe address the mellow slash rockets. Rumors flying around here is he gonna play another game with Houston. We've got some NBA trivia, we've got a fun quick top five will step on the beach. You got a lot of questions about the Jimmy Butler trade. But yeah. The Butler Jimmy Butler saga is over on Saturday. Minnesota agreed to trade the disgruntled. I believe is how you say that word disgruntled all star to Philadelphia along with Justin patent in exchange for a package that includes Robert Covington Dario, Saric, Jared Bayless and a twenty twenty two second round pick. This goes down on Saturday. A lot of fun your initial reaction to this big news, obviously Jimmy Butler, finally out of Minnesota and going to the east to team up within beedon's hell it, and I think the beginning is it's the right move in theory. It's a great idea. But it's kind of like, Mark Wahlberg suspense drama. How will this baby? And. Off the bat. I think about there in Philadelphia is the right move. But will it end with a five year one hundred ninety million dollar contract at the end of the season that Jimmy is entitled to sign. It's a question Mark on the floor which will get to but also off the floor as well. So it is it's high drama, but in as a concept Jimmy Butler is needed on the Philadelphia. Seventy Sixers to be a a last second score they desperately need one. Yes. This is going to be interesting to see what sort of attitude Jimmy brings now will he bring the combative? Listen, I'm the boss, and I expect everyone to be as work hot as me and be as tough as me, or is it going to be like, it's tough Minnesota pull my head in here and produce because I doubt that. Yeah. Well, I don't know if he's going to walk in there and just immediately stop pointing the finger though, I think he's going to have to earn that respect from from the gonna take a back seat. No, it ain't expected to take it back seat. But I also expect him to to not be quite as. Of a jerk. Yes. Yes. He's sort of. He has that track record. It happens in in Chicago. It happens, of course, Minnesota and the guy is trying to get a five year hundred million dollar type deal here. It'll be on best behaviour. You would you would think. So because if the Philadelphia seventy Sixers say after you, you know, what you bring too much baggage we want you, then he oversee county the five eight can still get a full year one hundred forty or something like that. But we'll team then go I don't wanna pay this guy for years and hundred forty knowing that he's missed or he's he's stoned out of three teams. Yeah. Yeah. So that's what I'm Lynch on the floor. I have no debt he can produce. But it's whether or not he will have the patience to deal with the full in the Simmons who we know struggling to shoot. And will he be out with withhold himself from getting in fights? I was like task seeing that frisbee emoji. Finally, it feels good to actually move on. And really I mean the season is clearly started where an eighth of the way in already. But it just feels like these are what the teams are supposed to be. We got Philly has been under whelming to start the season. They finally got that huge road win that Matt was eleven but now. Jimmy butler. So they can be one of the better teams in the east. Like people expected minimum the timber wolves can move on from Jimmy Butler, and maybe they can get some momentum going with their young guys who are supposed to be the future of their team. I think it's a smart move for both teams, though, if I were Minnesota, I what I on those first-round pickers. The full. Have much rather than Covington and starts search is an interesting 'cause he was really good in the playoffs last year, but he has struggled this season. And so what does he bring like the floor spices that they once I town can operate. Those guys are only good to me if you have a real number one in a real number two. And so that's what they think they have in towns because such last year in the playoffs had five twenty point games sexy. That's fantastic for third guy. You know with Embiid and Simmons and they needed those points this series struggle. I mean, I think you can sort of toss that aside. But if if you don't have a cat and Wiggins that our number one number two, and they're just another guy on team. Right. Both those guys. So I don't expect this team to be in the playoffs. I don't think cat in Wiggins have proven that they are worthy of number one number two label quite yet. They haven't when Butler went down last year they struggled and I'm not so sure that they're they're ready to be that. So the four first round picks get obviously, they didn't do it. Because it's not in Tom tiptoes time. Exactly, right. That's stupid. Yeah. Honestly. If he's going to be gone at the end of the season, which is what it seems like from we read weeding woes. Rating woes reports if he's going to be gone at the end of the season, what's the point of not playing for the future? I understand that you want to be good. And it's nice to have finally broken that no playoff streak last year. But if you're really trying to win a title, it's not gonna be this year with tobacco and Wiggins and towns, however, they're going to be you're not even going to really approach the playoffs. It'll be close. I mean, we'll see they could get hot. And maybe no Butler around means Wiggins and towns are both super energized and they play hard. But even so you're trying super hard to make the playoffs this year to save Tom does job. I don't get. It was max guys got two guys who are max contract players on their team. They should be a playoff team. And maybe they made a mistake with those guys especially Wiggins at this. Now, the pressure's gonna fold up -solutely on their shoulders to towns tested players huge. And it would help if we could back to being at least a score as you shown at times know for sure I think we can go deep on the wolves. But the story here is the Sixers getting. Butler. I think what they saw with after flaming out in free agency this past summer, and maybe looking ahead to this next summer where you know, sounds like clay going anywhere Kawais seems pretty happy there right now. And maybe even if he does leave the raptors e wants to go to Ellie, they were really looking at sort of their possibilities of a big name free agent and go in I don't really see one here. And maybe that's why they made this move as they did to this is the free agent in giving themselves the best chances resign him. At least. Good-looking Butler wants a five year hundred nine. He wants that. He's made that clear in my opinion. So yeah is long as this isn't a complete mess, and he's making false cry or something like that. Then I think he wills recyling seven. I think that's a big part of it. They just like this is our chance at a free. It here is the same thing as why we thought maybe the heat would do it. Right. Like, I know it's a different circumstance because they don't have star players in beaten Simmons to pair with if if you've got a guy like Butler, but the whole idea was they were screwed with cap space. And that was their best chance to go. Get a guy. Ultimately, they decided Josh Richardson's pretty good. We're not angry with Josh Richardson. We like his contract. And you know, he's, you know, I don't think they think he's on all NBA player, but nobody could be. Covington cheaper. And he's good Covington was first team. All defense kind of gets forgotten a little bit. Maybe Richardson could become a play like that for the heat. So that's why I think the Sixers do this now. I mean, we're talking about it. What does this mean for faults? Jokey about you solve the tweets going around about. Yeah. Jimmy coming in there and yell and Adam. But like, what is this is got to be a bit of a bit of a blow to I guess confidence which is already shaky as it is. I mean, he's not gonna start now. Right. He's got to be coming off the bench. And he is not a part of the big three in Philadelphia by any means anymore. It should come off. It's better for you. So you can be a ball handler because they've got guys that need that ball in their hands at this point to make things happen with Simmons Butler and beat you can't have a fourth. I don't see how that works on the floor. It's just it's not going to happen. He should be on the bench will here. If I'm Brett Brown. I absolutely bring him off the bench think give him a chance to at least through whatever is. He does offensively with the book with that second unit because Simmons is going to be looking for in beat and Butler. And then what's full to shoot. No, thanks. Yeah. He was shooting came out of the gate says a shooter, then he could play with them, but he needs to dribble dribble dribble. Make stuff happen. He had another free throw in this weekend. It looks like he's has regressed again. No, I'm not. It looks like it was last year about the same time where we had that happened. And he certainly improved it over the summer. But it looks like it's it looks like it's regressing again. So he might be he might be sitting down again. Anyway, for a while until I figure things out because when we've seen him on the court, he hasn't really done anything significant. So even if you put him on that second unit if you can get to the rack, okay, but he's just can't rely on him to shoot from. Anyway, I think it's too many things to figure out if you're trying to figure out Fulton and Simmons and Butler Butler mixed in with Simmons. I mean, that's enough of a conundrum along with him beat in the full thing haven't they have not figured out. But Simmons are a little bit of a struggle. You yet the only starting backward in the NBA that doesn't shoot three balls, and you're going to need you need spaces. And it could be Landry. Shamet not a joke. He could be out there. And he's peacefully reasonably well Wilson Chandler could get minutes at the four. They're looking for guys. But their offense is better. If sits and just as a backup point guard and runs the team like you it in college, but the second unit do you think the wolves asked for Marquel Fulton Street or do they not even really want? Like, I I don't know. What's your gut saying, it's sort of interesting in a way, you don't think they wanted them. Even I don't think. Don't take this isn't a nice the pieces fit when you look at the wolf's right because Covington and search come in. And they're starting alongside Wiggins on the wing and then get Teagan towns at the one in five. It's a nice little puzzle piece and roses your six men. So in theory, it looks okay. But I don't know. I don't think. Don't think doubt. It doubt. It. I mean, in fact that they couldn't get a first round pick win. Now they to win now. And you're not winning now by trading for Foltz. Yeah. You're right test. The first round pick in getting Butler in any sort of deal is a bit of a shock. I did this on Saturday. Remember when on draft night. The Sixers traded bridges mckell bridges to Phoenix they got Smith, and they got Miami's twenty twenty one unprotected first round pick. And when he was asked about it. When Brown was asked about that. He was like pretty clear like we need a third superstar to go and win this all or to go very far ploughs and try and get to the finals. And we think that pick could sweeten a trait of potential trade in the future, which is a no brainer. That makes a lot of sense. It's amazing. That thing didn't even have to be moved or their own also. Because apparently that was what Scott at the deal with Miami. That tubes insisted on getting another pick at a Miami. And that's why Miami pulled away so fatigue to be in this position. And not getting or I guess. They wanted that first round pick and didn't get it. And now in this position. They also want to get it is that right? And that's why you don't have coaches GM. That's one hundred percent why if you need you need to get a first round pick if you're trading Jimmy Butler. I mean that was one of the things that the bulls got slammed for was when they made the Jimmy Butler trade they also gave up a first round. What are you doing? You're giving up the best asset and you're getting nothing back for the future Covington and search will help this year. Maybe Sarge will bloom a little bit being more of it having a bigger role on the team. But for the long term, I think that this is trying to win now. And these are good win now pieces, but what's the stealing getting to the first round? And losing probably. Yeah. I think starts screwed up in Philly because the whole team was screwed up. And they just didn't know what the heck was going on with this full situation. Just started playing bad. And that's why I think they clean it up. And they say all right symbo. You're the man you're leading it full go to the bench and Simmons is an interesting to me. And I think he's a huge winner industry because. He's a number two guy on the Philadelphia seventy Sixers, but he's a number two guy that doesn't shoot. And he's not really dependable scoring the ball at the end of games. He handles it for like three and a half quarters does a lot. But then in clutch time, he kinda takes back seat. It's the JJ Redican Joel Embiid show in Philadelphia. That's what they do. And so now, he's got a guy who takes a lot of pressure off. And we saw in the playoffs last year at one point game or it zero point at one point. Yeah. There's there's a lot of pressure. I think taken off him at the end of games now because he can be the slasher, and and Jimmy can be the the guy that in theory works because Jimmy wants to be the guy at the end to go along with him beat and you have Rettig on the floor as well. That's nice. I think it's really nice for Ben Simmons because that's not as game. So it gives us a higher ceiling on the season. But where do you rank them right now? I know we haven't even seen play a game. But you sound high on this even though there is some depth issues with this team. They did to starters that play a lot of minutes for them like sixty four minutes. But do you have the Sixers as best team in the east? Two three four doesn't change much. I think their next contender. I put them. I would say maybe top three talent wise, they're number one over the raptors and the Celtics just because they have three guys who were all stars who could be all NBA easily. The death is an issue, but they'll be super active in the buyout market. Not to mention they've just got picks. They can trade extra around picks. They've got that extra first round pick. They can get a Kyle Korver. Courtney Lee is out there. They're going to be guys available. They'll pick some by the up for a playoff. So they're gonna hope they can replicate what they did last year. Maybe at the bio market of Ilyasova that worked believably. Then it'd be incredible. They can do that again and get to not get guys, but have guys perform the way that always happens when the Cavs the Cavs over the past few years got Korver at the deadline. They got Channing Frye at the deadline. They got Richard Jefferson to come back. But that was at the beginning season. There are guys out there that will at least be able to play playoff minutes for you. Eons available out there. Maybe JR Smith could be on the move. Coming. Five jimmer. He'd be very nuts. Yeah. There are gaining even more momentum already here that it's a possibility that he goes back to I forgot that played five years. Philip until I saw with their very strange. Yeah. So okay. So you're pretty high on them just. Yeah. It'll be interesting to see how it works. But you can like task saying you can see the blueprint Simmons is the man handling the ball for three quarters Jimmy's cutting off ball. That's how I started his career. So he knows how to do it. Then the fourth quarter. He's pound in that rock and shooting all the time. What I imagine will happen defensively they're going to be very tough as well with Covington was good to mention that. But Jimmy Butler is a very tough defend us. They will be a tough match the Boston fischel. I think the raptors are probably the best thing what was saying far. But once it all comes together. And once we say, fifteen games affiliate fifteen to twenty them together. We can have a bit more of an idea because I think that we'll be in the judgment period for shore of of you know, how many shots Jimmy getting his first five games does. He just get out there. So far away. Does he does he try to blend in a little bit? I at the start the season last year in Minnesota his only full season he blended. He said here's here towns. Here waking do your thing and figure it out. But after they didn't take them in themselves. It's my time. But I think if you Joel Embiid will be different. And I believe those three it's a ton of talent those three you just need guys that know the rolls off of them. And I think they have inferior Wilson Chandler who sort of likes the Celtics markets. More suit can Chuck from the four spot hasn't been great. He's kind of coming off injury. But he could be like that that guy that exactly like, Marcus Morris defend and do his thing there. And then they need a fifth, and they need to the depth issues definitely worried. But there's there's too much. I think those three guys figured out you called Simmons as a winner in this. I think it's safe to say Jimmy Butler is winner because he got what he wanted to Minnesota potential five hundred ninety million dollar deal on a team that is in the east, and you know, could be, you know, a potential team to go very deep into the playoffs. So I'm sure he wants that as well. Win keeps saying at least any other winners from this. Is it Karl Anthony towns, I mean, you said there's a lot of pressure on now. Yeah, that's true. But I mean. Finally, got rid of this guy. Yes. So he should be better. Now, he should perform numbers even when Butler wasn't playing. Yeah. He's kind of general soreness back to twenty seven points per game on fifty four percent shooting death. When Jim was in. There is what ten points less than forty three percent shooting. Good. So now, it's up to them. They don't have any excuse anymore. It's to see what towns, and we have got between them. And now how tip to truly interesting to me is now typifies relationship with front office. And the ownership moves forward because it sounds as though that was very very fractured. And I don't know exactly who had the final say in this deal. And I think that's sort of come out. But there's no doubt that the owner was basically undermining the people employs to do these things. So now, what does I do? What did they gonna losing streak? Does he fire him anyway? Or does he sort of just get through this as in, you know, maybe start afresh nixed. It took this long on. I happen for them to finally trae Jimmy vol. Waist. They probably ruin their entire season. If as Jimmy said he said this at the end of last season. That's that's that's bad on. That's the truth. Yeah. I mean, they could have got it done in preseason. They could've made a trade. But they have. You're right skates. They ruined the relationship. Now, you have been a who has just four six weeks taking Jimmy Butler side on this whole thing. Ran the offense the same way as if Jimmy Butler is going to be the star. When Karl Anthony towns is still there. There's that's why to me there's no way he goes past this seasonal like how why even keep him around for the rest of the with this that doesn't make. I think it was a rap as soon as towns was contemplating whether he was gonna sign a massive extension with the team. And I think I think we're looking into it. But that had to do with Jimmy Butler whose team is this? This guy's a jerk. We don't get along. This is brutal. And you know, okay. Well, we're gonna trade Jimmy Butler. Okay. Well, sign on the deadline signs on the line. And then, of course, all of this happens, which we bothering for weeks, you know, the the infamous practice, and then the interview with actual nickel. So. Yeah. I'm with you. I think Tim's I'll see how he survives this because they're only hope was well Jimmy plays. And we still win games. And they weren't even Jimmy was planned. They weren't winning games. They weren't good. And I think a lot of guys lost trust obviously in Butler antics to something definitely some of their other stars. Okay. So we talked to a false has been of a loser. As any one else anything else that would be a loser in this this deal for you? Is it the heat is it the rockets is a team that ultimately couldn't get the deal done. Yeah. I I don't know how good starch and Covington are really going to be but agree with trae to some degree that if you're the rockets you couldn't get him for something better. I know they're thin team. But you couldn't figure it out. So yeah, I definitely feel the rockets you put them in. Yeah. Anything else anyone else? No. Not really, okay. Folks is obviously some sort of loser. Because he's there's just no way I thought at the beginning as soon as the trade was happened just there because they just shoved him in the starting lineup to start this season. But at some point they gotta decide to win. We talk about the wolves their season being ruined. It's sort of like the Sixers in a way, I mean, it's different. But they're trying something here, and it's not working and to me, you know, Brank. Liangelo drafted Markelle Foltz. Gave up another pick to get him the right right, which at that time. I remember it summer league last year Philly faithful where Jack they're very pant before you know, Jason Tatum at an incredible season. And that traded obviously, that's turned out to be pooh-pooh. But maybe because Colangelo has gone maybe they can say by the full or take Foltz and say, Hello NBA. Is there a three point shooter that plays the power for its by Dario starch and just one for one? I know it's giving up on full pretty early. But maybe it's time. And I don't know who that guy that's in play. I would not be shocked at all see Foltz moved possibly soon reason they even had him in the starting lineup was because they needed somebody else to score with the ball somebody else that can, you know, get to the hoop maybe running pick and roll create something that's what Jimmy Butler is going to do. He's gonna take every possible shot that false would be taking. So are you gonna be committing a lot of development to a number one pick off the bench? We'll see maybe it's an interesting trade chip. But his value is probably pretty. All right. It's the lowest they could possibly be. Yeah. Undoubtedly that we talked with the wolves. They didn't get a first round pick that that does suck. Trey all being, but I did thought I thought he initially point he said at least they didn't take back like negative long-term salary because these two guys I mean, they'll have a decision decision with arch. I get that. But Covington is just started his four year six forty seven million dollar deal. That is nothing. Good. Obviously great Bela's in the final season was contract. So that's good for them. And again and saw at you know, not making a ton right now. So that that's a positive and we'll see what they can do with maybe more of a team. Now covington's should be. Thinks it's gonna play actions left, and he could have he could have a pretty strong season under him such who knows not a great defendant, really shoot much worse. He's. But then again with Saint L E with the playoff loss. He was really good for the. So you heart beacon find that form again. Yeah. He was awesome. Depended on them and ten games. Five of them are twenty point games. Yeah. Because Simmons can couldn't shoot. But. Yeah. To me, his value is kind of negated if Townsend Wiggins aren't good and Wiggins, the huge question where have all the opportune in the world to make shots at the end games now. But he wasn't doing rose was getting more shots and t was getting more shots along with Jimmy Butler. So I don't know Wiggins is kind of lost lost soul right now. We'll either of these two coaches in tips and Minnie and Browns. Philadelphia be with these teams at the start of next season to Brown should be. He's got lot pressure. Now, he's got make this work and they've expectations now. So if he flames out, I think you could be can't. Yeah, they wanna play. They gotta go far this year. The players are better. And now they've added Jimmy Butler. The teams should be better you should win more than one playoff series. Otherwise, it can be tough, especially if there's any sort of drama that comes out of the locker room. It'll be easy for somebody. Like, we gotta make the move. We move. We can make right now wolf seventy six play twice this season. Still so January fifteenth in Philadelphia March thirtieth in Minnesota you're talking about the playoffs. The common theme around Twitter this weekend was the second round of the playoffs in the Eastern Conference is going to be very tough. There's not going to be an easy match up for anybody in the second round as trae said they wanna series last year against the heat, which was tough enough. And then they lost against the Celtics wraps. So thanks Sixers and others like Pacers and bucks. Yeah. Yeah. That's that's not gonna be. It's gonna be awesome. First round. She'll be tough enough. Yeah. Exactly. All right. Anything else about this? I mean, we have more questions on the beach. Let's maybe just step on it and address on there. Questions. One more thing that Woche one of his pieces that I want to get your take on was this whole idea of detained wolves accomplishing one goal in the trade having traded Jimmy Butler to the Eastern Conference and not a western com night team. What do you think of that is this the most like overblown like reason to do a trade like I don't buy it at all? It was also the reason why they apparently turned down the full picks from Houston. Right. That didn't want him to be stronger in the west and to help build a juggernaut apparently. Yeah. My dad loves that. They trade him to the west. It's just it's such an old, dad grandpa. Thanks to these to these trade him to the other conference, right? Yeah. Within your division. Don't try to help those playoff teams you won't be playing against doesn't make. Yeah. Anyway. But okay, if that was one of their goals little checkmark beside that. Okay. I one couple here about Butler. About the trade this one from at e w Nielsen which player who doesn't necessarily need to be in. This trade is going to benefit the most. If it can be sorry. I got a double down. But it's Benny Simmons. Okay. No more pressure on him really to score at the end of games. He's a distributor. He's a slasher into the hoop, and he can score that way. But there's there's there's so much pressure on last year when you had that one point game. Everybody looked at him like you're appoint guard a modern day point guard who has the score. And it'll be interesting to see if him and Butler run pick and roll together because they'll have similar sized guys on them. One of them will have the smaller guy, and they cannot you know, they can either of them could be the ball hinder or either of them can be the screener. Then the other guy can go down in the post Simmons is pretty solid in the post Jimmy Butler score in the post that'll be a way for them to generate shops. And that'll be a way for Ben Simmons to get some looks to in the fourth quarter. If he so desires anyone else benefiting from Covington again, I think he's just going to get a lot of. What's there in Minnesota? So he he may get a little bit more almost exposure out there in Minnesota him. He's going to get the minutes and the opportunities and these east proven in the last year or so he can be a pretty reliable plant this one from at grizzly underscores shirk considering what they got compared to what had been reportedly up in offered from Houston was this the best outcome for the wolves. Or does this help their win now mentality? So we dress this a little bit. You don't like it. You think you would have been happier with a bunch of picks. I would if I am the timber wolves franchise. I would want the picks. I would want a chance to you know, five years down the line. Maybe Karl Anthony towns when he's twenty eight twenty nine years old is one of the five best players in the league. And you get to add top five draft pick. That'd be pretty amazing. But this is definitely a better move for tips. This gives them a better chance of making the playoffs this year. And that seems to be what was the goal. I'd rather have Josh Richardson, then either of those guys, you know, assault player, but. Josh Richardson could be a ball handler at the end of game season. Incredible three point shooter already forty one percent. He's already incredible defensive player. He's twenty five, you know, younger than comington great deal like Covington. Yeah. I would I would rather have him. There's more upside there for me if Jimmy this one's from at sea underscored Diaz to if Jimmy signs long-term with Philly is there a free agent next season that will help the Sixers compete for a title. That is a point should bring up here. If he does sign they could still have twenty five million dollars in cap. So they still could go and try and get a pretty big name. Alive agency. Answer given to rent. He's also. Keep it simple. Someone more realistic. Maybe or maybe Trey Lyles is we're digging. But you can fill it look. He can get up and down. Or if you want to go more of a grunter Markeith Morris is available like Wilson Chandler. They have on their team that they signed really to replace. The other dudes who left and Elliot's Sova and Markle Bill alley. So he's come back from injury. He's gonna get time. I think Marcus Morris too. I think is a free agent. Right. Maybe they could sign him to that double deal where she's the salaries to they're both Philly guys lights, but they I think they should split up that money. I don't think the twenty five mil should go to another superstar. They got three guys who need the ball a lot. And you're thin spread it out distribute, the wealth brook Lopez's a free agent to I think fits in the Philly bowl system shit, those threes sack of big, I guess. Changes game, man. He's changes career. He was my winner of the weekend. I don't wanna spoil the Instagram story threes on Saturday eight on Sundays from Steph career. Yeah. Blowing his fingers. That was cool. But who prolongs career if he keeps this up? Oh, was it network that had the tweet Brooke Lopez's made threes like in his career to one zero like, yeah. Just explodes out of the three point shot. The non jumping three point shot. When he first started Brees it took like almost the entire shock to get the ball from to actual release. But now, he's just a guy shooting threes, not jumping the guns for all. Right. This one from at Ivan's e e can we start calling the duo of Ben and Jimmy the fresh prince and his Butler. Like that. But Jeffrey was agreed. Ritz. That'll be great photo. The Phil I guess Joel Embiid filler is he the Carlton? Oh, interesting. No. Vitas let us whereas the DJ jazzy, Jeff. Oh, yeah. That's really is. Jimmy. Well, more here. How many games until Joel Embiid starts sub tweeting Jimmy Butler. This is from Nick in Toronto. Now, we glossed over this a little bit. But I think this is the real risk to me. It's the Embiid Butler relationship and dynamic both on and off the floor. I think that's fair. I think that is could be a concern. It could also work perfectly because maybe they're the type of just personalities that actually sort of push each other. And he can obviously both take it and give it you know, what I mean. Like there's that. But. You know, you keep saying Jim he's taking the shots at the end of games. Jimmy's. Getting those shots keeps coming up short. I mean, I could see him bead saying a little bit of what about me just give me the damn ball. Right. Because he was that good happy. Joel is not going to just go. I'll let him keep shooting. Right. Didn't he complained about something the other day on Twitter? I think it was he wasn't playing or. Yeah. He wants to play. So he's not afraid to have a goat. He's organization. He certainly not gonna hold back. If Jimmy comes in and starts taking his shine at all should be great. Jimmy Jimmy way back down. You could see literally putting up the Seinfeld clip. I saw. Jimmy club. It could happen. Anything else about Jimmy Butler to the Sixers? It happened. Fine doubt. Yeah today. No now gets himself back in contention with the all star game. I guess sure. Yeah. Does I basically dead yet to last season? But the coaches weren't gonna vote him in. I believe but now he's back there. And it's like if I wonder if he sits at any games now. Get hurt. Yeah. I don't think so. But that was a big part of trying to get traded two hundred mil riding on it. He also helped almost like sort of during a game tanked the game. I think just to get traded. If you saw that kings game at the. We lost to the kings. I know the kings back, but we're the kings though, we gotta get Jimmy Butler out of the last dry was worldwide tweeted was probably Jimmy Butler complaining about too many minutes to athletic. That's where chip's draws the line. Remember the set out the all star game last year because he was. Yeah. So, you know, the writing on the wall really when you look back at it. He was exhausted. And it was missing time. Anyway, I think up into that point. So and that's the scary part of that signing this guy to five year one hundred ninety million dollars very much coming fourth fifth year that could be bad. Okay. Well, let's talk a little Meno. I hope you got that dropping at your fingertips. Yup. Okay. Well, let me give you the news at least while you try and find it because I love that drop the New York Times Mark Stein over the weekend said any wrote this the rockets have denied, they're waving. Oh is that to sources close to the situation say mellow? Has been informed that his brief time with the team will soon be ending. He was listed as out for Houston's game on Sunday against Indiana due to illness. Lori got in front of the cameras. He said, no, no, no, no, no. This isn't the case. He's got an illness. You know, don't believe these reports he was illness on Saturday. Exactly right next Becky illnesses gotten flu shot. Terrible reaction to us. Yeah. Yeah. So he's so Maury and the organization says don't buy this. But it's not just Stein who obviously is one of the most trusted NBA reporters other. It was who has mid and Tim McMahon. Yeah. That's right from ESPN doubling down on this thing. He's gone. He said the play is mellow. That's right. So what what what what do you think of this? I mean came a little bit out of left field. I know the rockets were struggling, and it's always fun to say, it's the mellow curse. Whatever. Tv's element that much whatever team is on you know, suffers and it's easy to put the blame on him. But like this is a little weird. Right. I know they're going to get the win against the Pacers without mellow. What do you think? The drop again. I think they're in the mindset of they want to right the ship. So it's not time to screw around anymore. It's not time to have mellow trying to figure things out. It's time to go back to what they did last year and figure it out because you know, they started two four and seven now they're five and seven they lost Saturday when with only one mellow and said all right illness to Melville, we'll figure it out. And I think I think kind of like. Minnesota philly. They're just like all right. It's time. So by problem is it's it's unfair to blame the boys on him. But when he's been on the floor. They've been even worse. And that's the problem is that he's not really bringing anything to solve the problem. It's just when he goes that we get we get killed when you're out on the floor, basically. And we talked about on Friday. He doesn't poss-. He doesn't create doesn't rebound. It doesn't offend if he's not gonna talk. He had three twenty point games. That is kind of like, okay, he can still do that. But if he's not doing that. Then he doesn't do anything else on the team you had a theory in the car, right? In of maybe why this is happening, right? You wanna share that? Could it be something behind the scenes where Gary Clark's getting a ton of minutes guy who was and is a rookie over a guy that Chris Paul is clearly back and saying he's a hall of fame player. We'll see what happens, and then you read the woes reports, and it's like they're trying to massage mellows exit outta here because they don't want to mess up the relationships that they have with players who really like mellow mellow was clearly well like they're allowing the lease so many tweets going out. No, San this fall mellow doesn't deserve this Dwayne Wade LeBron back into all of his buddies. So you have to wonder if they are cutting things off at the head say, and we know that you're not gonna like coming off the bench and playing behind Gary Clark. Right. We know that your friends aren't going to like that. So we're just going to give you a chance to go somewhere else. Right. I don't know. I think there could be something to that. I mean, there's the history with dantonio mellow struggling. You said tasks we just need we have stars in heart and Chris Ball, and they've had some some slow starts for them this year. Specially Chris Paul. I'm hard had a Greek game on Sunday with the forty points. But yeah, maybe it's like we don't need another. We don't need mellow. Here's going bucket. We need some defense. We energy guys like that. Trevor Reza, we need those guys. Maybe it's Gary Clark. I mean for crying out loud. He's great on the guitar. There's something maybe to that. It's not his fault that they've started poorly. The idea was him come off the bench on a really good team that plays defense and their starting lineup. And he can just be the guy who sprinkles in some jumpers. Like a weird Lou Williams just shoot up. It has to be a really good team. He's being asked to do too much now because they're not good. They've struggled very badly. And so fair him credit. He I think guys are backing him because for the first time in his career Hussein. All right. I'm coming off the bench, and I'm fine with it. So mentally, I from his perspective it it's and from his buddies perspective. He's doing a good job. I guess he's been fairly professional about all of this. You know, being a probably a future hall of Famer and being asked to come off the bench for the first time his career and doing it. So if he is not any sort of locker room cancer. Then what's the reason the cuddle if you said, he's not the problem? He's just an inexpensive possible shooter off the bench is any different than like, Ryan Anderson. No, he's about Ryan Anderson. Well, so that's that's the part to me. And that's why I think trae sort of theory has probably some merit to it because I don't get it. Otherwise, the beginning of the stories were that mellow has an illness. But they're talking about his role on the team. Right. So what kind of talks are those are they saying, hey. We're rolling with Gary Clark Gary's playing the anthem. And then he's gonna come off the bench plays defense. That means you're going to be getting five to eight minutes. A game mellow probably says. Yeah. The report going around the sort of had talked about this before when they signed this deal like if it doesn't work out, and it's maybe not working out. Maybe we go our separate ways. So yeah, maybe it is one of his buddies will save in. He's going to the lake is all the Hague mean. Well, maybe Irving Liz making a play. The Celtics lose and he's talking about how they need a fifteen year benefits vet to come help with the season. That is the marathon not a sprint. No. Yeah. The idea was this is a sixty five win team returning and they're going to be good. And Carmelo may. Or may not be part of the solution. As a as a guy as Joe Johnson was was for them last year. He was sort of on the bench, but he can come in and score. But they're not that. And you got guys like Markey's Chris even sitting down because they're desperate need for a big like that. But he's not playing. Well, Mel is not playing well, they're not capable of playing that many minutes. So yeah, I guess it's well if you're not gonna play that much then maybe we got actually or you're going to be ill for four four weeks until we figure this out. And then you can come back. I mean, that's probably not gonna happen either. What does Mila one? I just don't I don't know what he wants. Roll minutes. Does he wanna ring care at all? Does he want just a bunch of money minutes to continue to cap laying scoring stats like what? Drives him right now. Cool hats, well, have they even been out this year that much? Yeah. Hats. Hats.
