"Happy to have you back with us here on NFL fantasy forecasters. We get set for week Number eight. Micah's. We move along the wide receivers, you said earlier when we're talking about daily fantasy that Adam feeling too expensive taking on the Packers, you'd rather have Justin Jefferson. Is that an overall statement moving forward that Justin Jefferson's a guy? You gotta have a neurologic moving forward. He's been very good. When you look at the numbers. He's been one of the top wide receivers in fantasy football since the Vikings basically unleashed him. I've got the Packers this week out. Green based defense just gave up over 12.5 fantasy points to all three of Raynald Ka Brandin cooks and will further last week against Houston so that defense can be had. And as I mentioned, if feeling has matched up with giant Alexander, then Jefferson is going to see Ah lot of targets in that game. A couple of other wide receivers And I would play this week. Tyler Boyd, keep him in your line up against the Titans. They have a lot in average of over seven catches and the third most fantasy points per game. The slot receivers I also like Travis Fulghum. Why? Because the Cowboys defense is terrible. Seven wide receivers have scored at least 15 fantasy points against that cowboy's defense while lined out wide. So this is a very, very good matchup for Travis Fulghum. And then Brandon, are you guy talked about him and GFS. I love him in traditional re drops as well. Seattle has really struggled against wide receivers this season, and Deebo Samuel is out. So you guys going to be the number one wide receiver for Jimmy Garoppolo six for 1 15 last week against New England? What about the receivers to sit this week? Omari Cooper is a system to words. Ben DeNucci two more words, Darius Slay need I say more Devante Parker is also a fade for me to a ton of alone, making his first NFL starting. Plus, he's going to have to face Jalen Ramsey and the Rams Defence. They've allowed just one wide receiver to score more than 10.7 fantasy points on out wide routes this season, And that's where Parker runs most of his route. Darius latent against the Buccaneers on Monday night. He is a fade for me. They have a lot on average of 97 yards and only three touchdowns, toe wide receivers lined out why this season and chase Claypool. He disappeared last week. Why? Deante Johnson was back and you look at the target share. When Deante is active. You've got to put Claypool on your bench. Plus, he's gotta match up against the Ravens. They have allowed the fifth fewest fantasy points to receivers who are lined out wide. So a lot of rookie receivers in your conversation Chase Claypool. Brandon, I you Justin Jefferson. I think we knew rookie receivers were to play a major role in fantasy this year. You're starting tight ends, though, is not a list of rookies Rob Gronkowski, Jimmy Graham, Richard Rodgers. Those air, not rookies. Now they're not rookies. We typically don't see many tight ends make an immediate impact in their first year, Johnny Smith, I really like last week had an absolute stinker against Pittsburgh. Keep the faith starting this week against Cincinnati. They gave up two touchdowns. The Harrison Bryant last weekend one to David and Joko and Rob Gronkowski. After a slow start, you want to talk about being unleashed. His second and fantasy points among tight end since week five, The Giants have given up 13 plus points to the likes of Richard Rodgers and Logan Thomas. So Gronkowski is in play. Speaking of Roger's playing against my Cowboys again, tight ends of average, almost 15 fantasy points per game against Dallas and no quarterback in the National Football League targets tight ends more per game. And Carson went to the Jimmy Grim. It's a revenge game against the Saints. They've also struggled against tight ends. They've given up six touchdowns and the second most fantasy points to that position. I really quickly you're tight ends. That's it. Evan and I know you probably have to play and you don't have to like it. The Buccaneers have laid an average of about 45 yards per game. Too. Tight ends. This is a fade for me. Eric Ebron against the Ravens. They have been very tough on that position. Really. Travis. Kelsey is the only title who's done anything against in this season. Gerald Average scored a touchdown last week. I'm not playing him against Miami, they've allowed the third fewest fantasy points of tight ends. They held George Kittle 8.4 fantasy points earlier in the season, and then Greg Olsen. You may be looking to stream him this week. I would not do that. Olsson has put up fewer than nine fantasy points and four of his last five games. He hasn't scored a touchdown since week. One. Yeah, just three total catches the last two games. For the Seahawks tight and we'll finish up the Halloween edition coming up next. This is NFL fantasy. Forget Thiss.

"We have jeff from Jacksonville. Jeff thank you for calling in the pleasure. Thanks for having collapsed so what what kind of question you got today Jeff. So looking to next year I know we lose three of the four starting. DB's and person's face on the front. How how do you think the defense could could be next? Roughly probably the worst kept secret of Kerry comes. uh-huh coming back is actually true. I think it's going to be a huge higher because you're looking you're going to replace two corners and I know the the big talker. Sean Wade moving outside which will certainly make it a lot easier. But but you're going to need someone that can develop guys in none better than Kerry combs if you look at his track record in history so I think it's really gonNA come down to what what what they can do you in the secondary. I mean that's that's obviously the biggest unknown. I think the D line is deep enough and they will do enough on defense to absorb the loss of chase young we actually. We just talked about that a little bit ago and one of the callers and so it's going to be interesting. I I think Kerry coming back. It'll be a big deal but I really liked the young kids. They're going to have obviously Veasley Sean Wade but then you have guys like Cameron Brown. Who played a bunch this year? I think it's going to have a great off season. And then you look at guys like Josh proctor. Who I'm most excited about kind of take that Predator role in the secondary almost me hooker ish and then it's really gonNA come down to WHO's that WHO's that fourth or potentially fifth guy? They're gonNA play Is it Marcus Hooker. Does he have a great off. Season seven banks house. He how's he going to develop this off season and then are these young guys gonNA come in and and show that they're ready to play right away way. I mean I think the linebacker position should be pretty solid. I think the D line obviously with Larry Johnson is going to be outstanding always and so. I think they got a chance to really do USA do some. I guess have the same consistency on defense that we haven't seen until this year. You know entrepreneur thinking I so do you think we stick with that three corner one high safety. We think we go back to normal too high to corner now. I think that one high defense. This is really here to stay. I think that's what Ryan Day really wants. That's why he brought in Jeff F. Lee and I think it's going to stay consistent and Greg Madison has been around every type of defense imaginable as Carrie combs and carry combs GonNa bring a Lotta NFL experience in the whatever year to he's been with the titans to really implement some things that they're doing it at that level that we might be able to do it. Ohio state so it's GonNa be cool to see the the scheme and I'll tell you this. The one thing they will do is they're gonNA make whatever personnel they have worked for them on defense so whatever their personnel does best. They're going to do if it's pressman pressman. If it's often one is zone. Then it's one is zone. I think it's what Ryan wants to do and I think it's what we're going to watch This this coming fall for sure Muslim also trying to wonder if Toronto Mitchell's GonNa take that starting spot from talk. I know I know didn't do it this year. I know it's it's probably not a senior this year but it's going to be an interesting battle for that middle linebacker. Yeah it definitely is and I think. I think there's going to be a lot of question marks on who's GonNa play where in that linebacker core because you have guys like cave on pope who's young and athletic to Raja. Obviously who I talked about preseason is one of the best linebackers they had. I think he just needs to mature a little. Didn't get on the field. And then you have guys like Barron Browning Justin Hilliard Pete Warner you got a bunch of guys to surround tough in that competition so it'll be interesting to see how they play them in. Where are they play them? And how they protect them protect their weaknesses. You know switching to elephants who do besides you know maybe the in the August ones like maybe like a Jackson Smith and Gigolo or Jillian Fleming. Who Do you see having a breakout? Your like Jason Williams. Maybe came in Bab Bob. If he's healthy. Yeah I think. There's there's a lot of unknown outside of Chris Lava and Garrett Wilson at the receiver position. Just losing those three talented guys. They had a lot of production. And I think you know the incoming freshmen is a is a wild unknown because guys that come in early it's like it's an unknown. You're talking about a huge jump in what they're expected to do what they're asked to do. Just as a college athlete let alone to perform on a different level than they've ever performed on so I think it's going to be interesting to see how those young guys come in. And I think Jameson Williams is a guy that should have a big off season. He's gotta develop physically developmentally But he has a skill. Gill said that that is really unmatched in that room. Just his speed and his long strides. It's almost Ted ginn junior esque you know so I was going to be an interesting to see What I'm really excited to see is not excited to see? I'm anxious to see what Jalen Gildas is. He hanging around as he go. Try to compete to take that slot position or does he. We feel like maybe it's not gonNA work out at all state. Does he transfer or does it. You know there's one of those young guys take that spot another's talks of maybe Kevin Wilson helping with the play calling. Do think that would if that does happen. Do you think we could possibly see more of Jimmy Rucker. Does he split out like a Jimmy Grim or do we like a mom assuming he would want you WanNa get more tight ends involved. Yeah I mean the reality is although I think. They played just above average this year. You have luke. FERAL Jeremy Rucker coming back with a full off season to improve and enhance their game. And I think it's GONNA be tough to keep them off the field and twelve personnel tight ends so dynamic for an offense in the run game and to have two guys that are athletic and big and long they can make plays in the past game. I think it's GONNA GONNA. You'RE GONNA see a lot more to tights but at the end of the day. I think Ryan's GonNa put the best eleven on the field so if that is a young kid that is dynamic it might be eleven might be one tight and if that is Jeremy Rucker as the second tight end than it is so I think they're gonNA have a lot of flexibility in a lot of talent to figure out how they want to employ them. Yeah I'm trying to think I'm a summer soon. Everyone's expecting master teak to be starting running back and I know being I saw. I saw Marcus Crowley play couple games in high school and I've I one play. It's on my phone somewhere. But he liked he ran over one. Dude take on another. He's the one I'm really excited can stay healthy and take that next step. I think he can be great at is date. Yeah it's GonNa be interesting I I don't I don't see a like a nationally elite running back right now at Ohio state. I just don't love master. I love how he runs. He's very physical but I don't think he's Jonathan Taylor. I don't think he's J. I don't think he's to that level yet but obviously off seasons or when those types of players are created and developed sort of interesting you see. That's that's probably the biggest question. Mark Offense for me is the run game. Who's going to be that every down back that's going to be in a nationally elite guy going along that lines? I know I'd read that be visiting this weekend. But kind of recruiting L.. Know if you've been following this it really bazaars Zac Evans Saga would you take a flyer on him at all or just kind of your out after all the things you per. Yeah I don't know Oh just inside on the situation I know Tony Alford and Ryan Day and really the staff they they will turn every stone and before they make a calculated it risk or decision. They're gonNA make sure that it's one that at least has a decent chance of paying off and certainly won't hurt their situation so I I don't know much about him him or the situation but they need a great player so if they if they can find one that they feel likes GonNa pay it out. I think they'd take a flyer on it and take a risk transfers. That's where he he. I guess he punched a coach when you give up his phone during a meeting. He got sent home from the State Championship game but in my friends he when he wanted me to ask if he wants to know like. Do you still have a relationship with the guys ever talk. Is there anything between you and Ryan still a friend of mine. I mean I've seen him a couple of times. We've always talk. It's certainly not something that him and I are in contact frequently with the situation but he's still a friend of mine and and if if I run into him or when I see him you know it's very friendly. We have great conversation. He's a great great dude. My final final question. No we're finally getting idiot. President breakout me and my friends are kind of going back and forth today little Buckeye Chat. I said I think we should bring in Jim. Tressel alone friend says that he doesn't think we will because the school scared of you know what might think he said maybe give it to urban when I say or do we bring back Gordon Gears or anybody else out there that you think we could be going after I think Jim Tressel is a great option. That's who I think they should higher. I don't think they will. I think Gordon one of the best presidents in Ohio state history. If not the best but I don't think they'll do that for a third time. The guy that I hear a lot about is John in case I mean I think a lot of people think he's the guy and I guess we'll see I know how state is not they. They make decisions out of fear a lot. Which is wide Gordon? Geeze gone why. Jim tressel probably won't get a serious consideration but we'll see I guess I John Case the name I'm hearing and Jim Tressel is the guy I think I think it should be so we'll see Because we're going to go there with the political could you see maybe Anthony Gonzalez coming in back and taking that or or. Maybe he doesn't want to do that. I don't think I think he's. He's down the political route. I think he's going to attack the the the White House House one day so I don't see him come into university president right now but I guess you never know thanks for having me..

"Kittle had more broken tackles than Travis Kelsey. He's guy that you know struggle with drops early in his career but <hes> has kinda gotten together. He's kind of like a late career. Breakout player Jared Cook is <hes> top five among all tight ends over the last two seasons in receptions and now he's going to New Orleans Orleans and <hes> so I mean that's a pretty good offense to play in. You know if his his touchdown probability is going to rise going for Oakland to New Orleans and he's another guy who was kind of broken out late in his career was kind of like an an underachiever an enigmatic athletic underachiever for a lot of years in Tennessee and then with the rams <hes> but he's become like one of the most consistent receiving tight ends in the N._F._l.. Over the last couple of years go by going to relocating to a better offense David Giokoo his targets were just four point six per game after Freddie Kitchens took over the browns house offense in the second half of last season so that is concerning also concerning is the fact that the browns trader for Odell Beckham because that's GonNa push everyone down the target ladder so David Joe. I think he's risky. I think he's going to be really inconsistent. I think he's going to have some big games but I think he's going to be frustrating from stink fantasy standpoint but I do think he's a candidate select score ten touchdowns <hes> and that takes care of this year keeping a moving to tear four. You've got Austin Hooper ahead of Jordan Reed. Gosh I like forgot about Jordan Reed a head of Eric E. Brondby Ninety nine percent chance to use the word regression. When you mentioned Eric Hebron ahead of trae Burton ahead of Stallini? Don't call me to Lonnie Walker. Yeah these are tight ends that are capable of finishing in the top twelve but probably won't be difference. Makers week-to-week Austin hooper ceiling is kind of capped by <hes> how deep Atlanta is in the wide receiver core. Bring him back. One of the best three receiver sets in the N._F._l.. And I think that's this. This is definitely a team. That's going to run the football more. They were bottom three in rushing attempts last year. They're getting back good players on defense so going to be a little bit less opportunity for <hes> Austin Hooper in for the passing passing game as a unit <hes> Jordan Reed played through chronic to- pain last year still finished eleventh among thirty qualified tight ends in yards per route run <hes> and you know he played thirteen gains. I mean that's like a big accomplishment for Jordan. I think the redskins are not going to be very good but he absolutely can lead them. In receiving <hes> I'm way below consensus on Eric Hebron who yes his third scored fourteen touchdowns actually actually if you include his rushing touchdown he's going to regress in if you look at his entire body of work in college in the Pros Eric Iran before last season had never had more than five touchdowns in an individual year. All of a sudden is fourteen. You add Devin funchess Paris Campbell to Hilton was banged up all last year. Jack Doyle is back and then if you look at the Games where Jack Doyle played last season Eric Hebron drew eight point eight targets per game when Jack Doyle was out only four point four targets per game when Jack Doyle was in and Jack Doyle actually had more targets and played more snaps in the Games where they both played so Eric Iran is a clear fade for me in pretty much every famous format trae Burton was had a big preseason. It was kind of a disappointment during the regular season top forty yards in only three of sixteen games. <hes> did not top forty yards in any games after week seven <hes> he struggled with confidence late in the year he was inactive for the bears playoff loss. He's coming off sports hernia surgery. You know it's a deep offense in Chicago. I don't know if getting him the ball is going to be a priority this year. I'm really big on Alan Robinson. <hes> this year having a big season we'll talk about him when we get to the wide receivers Delaney Walker coming off an ankle fracture in dislocation at age thirty five so that immediately sends up major red flags but this guy was cleared for the start of training camp and he had over eight hundred yards in each of previous four seasons before last year going down in week one so I mean Delaney has been a warrior throughout his career and I like him here at tight end fourteen. He's a guy that I really like to get my second tight end in best ball in tight end premium. Let's get to your tier five and that is Chris. Herndon Mark Andrews Jimmy Jimmy Grim Greg Olsen T._J.. Hodkinson the rookie at Iowa Dallas Qatar Tyler I for and the aforementioned Jack Doyle tear five for Chris her than even with the four-game suspension Evan Yeah I mean these are flawed Titan twos you know they're not guys that you're drafting to be starters but they do have some upside some reasons for optimism Chris hearn and just to eighth rookie tight end in the last decade to clear five hundred yards in his first season. This suspension stinks it makes him like undrafted like in a league where you have like five or six bench spots. You know you have short benches. You pretty much can't even draft him. I'm going to be out until week six because the jets have a week four by and he's got the four-game suspension. I'm going to use them until we six now. You certainly can draft him in best ball still and I think he's a good pick and best ball. I mean this suspension just. Crushed A._D._p.. So now we can kind of get better value on him. If you look at if you look at the list of tight ends <unk> that cleared five hundred yards as a rookie I mean there's a bunch of future hall of Famers Murs on there. I mean Rob Gronkowski. <hes> George kittle Aaron Hernandez was on that track before everything went down <hes> an Evan Ingram also <hes> fought fell into that category <hes> Mark Andrews he was another guy who met that criteria of being a rookie tight end that went over five hundred yards sky was dominant down the seen as a rookie he led all or he was fifth among all N._F._l.. Tight ends not just rookies in yards yards per route run last season and if you look at all the past catchers at the Ravens are bringing back. Mark Andrews has the most established rapport with Lamar Jackson of all of them so I think Mark Andrews is like a baller. Jimmy Graham really big disappointment because he'd scored two touchdowns last year at fifty five catches which is decent but he only score two touchdowns. You know we talked about on the air on the quarterback. Show how Aaron Aaron Rogers had a career low touchdown rate four point two percent to percentage points below his career average and Jimmy Graham really you know was hurt by that and also I you know I I I question what he's got left in the tank. They used a third round pick on Jay Sternberg who I really really liked coming out of a Texas A._M.. So Jimmy Graham not sure about bouncing back. You know he's Kinda. He's a flawed uptight into you know so he kind of defines this to your Greg Olsen three foot fractures in a torn plantar Fascia over the last two seasons turned thirty four in March in I think we're going to see him in the in the broadcast booth sooner rather than later and they've got a young tight end by the name of Ian Thomas who I think as a lot of upside in the short in long term so I think the Greg Olsen. They're probably GONNA scale scale his snaps back T._J.. Hodkinson. I don't think the lines are going to scale his snaps back. I think he's GonNa jump right in as an every down player but you know again a really really good season like historically good season for rookie tight end is five hundred ours and that's not big time in fantasy and I think that's where we're looking at with T._J.. Hodkinson that's going to be a run first offense. You mentioned Dallas Goddard. He's my tight end twenty. I think he's actually being overdrafted in fantasy leagues because everyone on you know the the the book is out on him. <hes> the dude is in an absolute beast and just how often is he going to get the ball in this offense that has so many really really good players. It's just a loaded offense and look is Zack. Urge like Mrs Anytime Dallas Goddard is going to be like top three tight end play or top four tight end play in daily fantasy tyler I for always hurt. Can we get twelve games is out of him. You know that's all we ask every year and we never get it. So just you know there's not a whole story never changes with Tyler effort and then Jack Doyle coming off the hip surgery <hes> you know I I think he's going to do more to hurt Eric Hebron than it is to then. He's going to do to carve out his own fantasy value alright tear six Gerald Everett Kyle L. Rudolph Noah fant cam break in Thomas Mike ezekie Darren Waller Jason Witten Jason Witten Irv Smith and my favorite Rob Gronkowski Wayne see I was GonNa say where do you do with Gronkowski. You got into your six. I mean the guys retired and you have ahead of a bunch of different tight ends. I love it. You know he's just shedding all that wait to come back and play wide receiver. You know that right Ross. He's GonNa come back and be a wide out. Let me just say this and I tweeted this. I've written about this. He's one of my favorite favorite players ever. I really hope he doesn't come back. You know just knowing he's already had three back surgeries and everything else I I really hope he doesn't but it's his life and if he does I will allow myself to be entertained by his exploits. Somebody posted like a highlight clip of him. Recently that I saw he is ridiculous. I don't have you ever seen in person Evan. No I think people would just be shocked at how big he really is. The two guys I think people would be most surprised by how large they actually are are Rob Gronkowski and Cam Newton. You like Cam. I mean I am I met Cam. I just couldn't he is all of two fifty to sixty why shoulders they actually have similar body types cranks even bigger for those guys is to be able to do what they've done at their size incredible but it is interesting because they're so big and they're able to take so many shots from people their bodies just breakdown because they're we're just getting paid. Oh take one shot and go down. They get hit bang boom boom and so that's a similarity between those two guys but Yemen I love him. Yeah <hes> so this cheer from tied in twenty three to tighten thirty two is comprised of late tied into slash Titan threes that are very least worth monitoring and that's why Rob Gronkowski ski falls into this year but it begins with Gerald Everett who you know certainly has the athleticism eighth percentile spark athlete last season. He was originally drafted to become come Sean McVeigh's next GE- ordinary you know <hes> Sean McVeigh was originally the position coach tight ends coach in Washington <hes> under the Shanahan's and <hes> with with Jordan Rian Jordan Reed was like his prize prized pupil and look Jordan era Gerald Everett came out of South Alabama and wasn't ready to to play in the N._F._l.. Right away but last season over the rams final eight games his <hes> routes run per game went from thirteen to twenty three and a half now this coincided with Cooper Cups A._C._l.. Tear they started playing a.

"Final selection of the evening, barring any sort of trade Jason will the Packers reporter joined us earlier in the show this evening said that his best guess with this third round pick for the Green Bay. Packers would be a skill position player on offense a wide receiver tight end. But then surely a running back Jakob polite off the board for the New York Jets. Just now with the sixty eighth overall pick that was a name before he fell off the face of the planet that was associated for a brief period of time with the Green Bay Packers. Guy was again, one of those guys that potentially could add that first grade somebody always talked about early in the draft process that could be going that early. So to fall all the way in the early third round team. All see didn't he Salem media? The Packers like mean to him and his interview with or something like that. So I mean, the Packers now he's going to be a New York jet. Take our Twitter as well at ESPN walkie, decay Metcalf, combine freak from ole miss was selected by the Seattle Seahawks. Though, he fell a pretty long way. Would you rather have a body like yourself or like decay Metcalf through nearly three hundred votes sixty nine percent of respondents picking decay over their current bodies? The other non football related topic that it's kind of raging on a debate on Twitter at this juncture as we wait for the Packers next pick of the evening is regarding cookies Jason Wilby as I mentioned joined us earlier in the program. We're going to hope to catch up with him after the Packers. Next selection. Jason oatmeal raisin cookie up in Green Bay. The nice thing about working in the media from time to time gave and you've been doing this for your entire adult. Life is if you end up in a media setting Jason is right now there's a lot of downtime oftentimes the Packers. The brewers the box Marquette, they'll offer you some food some dinner snack. Maybe a cookie and Jason grabbed a cookie from the media room up in Green Bay's, we await the third round selection and bit into it and thought it was chocolate chip. But it turned out to be oatmeal raisin. That's always the most disappointing things happen. And the interesting part about it is I'm not anti oatmeal raisin cookie. I think raising cookies are quite delicious. The problem is they look exactly like chocolate chip cookies from the outside, and if you bite into one thinking it's going to be chocolate chip cookie. And then you get meal raisin. It's disappointing. How often do you think that happens nine times out of ten? Yes. Which is why I don't have much use for cooking, mama. Mom makes great oatmeal raisin cookie. But at the same time, why would you make it we make chocolate chip, which is ten times better? How do you think a chocolate chip Opio raisin cookie would be like if you put chocolate chips, and I think that. Yeah. Trying to come up with a solution. I understand what you're trying to do. And I just feel like that's no crossing the beams, and that's the bad version of crossing the beans from Ghostbusters. No, I just don't feel like that would work out because I bite you get that little bit of the sweetness from the chocolate chip. Okay. But then you get a little bit of that raising taste in there. I don't think those things are going to play well off each other. So the peak oatmeal raisin situation is if there's no chocolate chip available at all. I'll settle correct raisin cookie is settling in the stand. How we've gotten to this point in our society that were not clearly labelling our meal raisin cookies. Everybody. Every single person has had this happen to them. When I've oatmeal raisin cookie. They've taken a bike and chocolate chip. And they end up spending the whole thing out in disappointment. So if Aaron Rodgers is the chocolate chip cookie of the Green Bay Packers. Give me a player cop meal. Raisin who? See you'd have to be someone to who appears to be good. But in actuality. That's that's that's where we're. I mean. It would have been hawk index. Yeah. But he's gone after it makes the Pro Bowl. I think would've fit that fit that profile. Right now. Maybe Jay on more. Yeah. But he he has even appeared to be good. He we only think he's good because of where he was selected in the draft. He wasn't even selected that high. He's a fourth round selection, and he did well in the minicamps last year. You know, he was taking the one that I think a lot of people because you can't you can't take your playbook. You can't take the ipad in which the playbook is is stored home with you that has to stay on with the Packers and all times, and you're not many camps and whatnot. You can't you can't just take that home and study at the end of OT as you can't take that home to get ready for. So for Troy. For training camp. So he wrote down every single play by hand. So we had that a lot of people were impressed by that smart. Really improve to better examples that I think are very applicable to oatmeal raisin cookies of the Green Bay Packers Jimmy Graham, he's even got an aim that sounds like a cookie. Okay. Bega let me get a dozen Jimmy grants. But here's the thing that Jimmy doesn't look impressive all that talking about Jimmy grim looks impressive. You'd think he's gonna be great coming in. And he turns out just to be a little bit disappointing Jimmy Graham is the oatmeal cookie of the offense. And then let me throw this name out at the risk of being beat up. If he drives here. Mike Daniels has had that criticism from fans where he appears to be good. But he just plays a little bit softer than you think. You should you need to follow. Ben federal. Full-blown chocolate chip, you're saying, okay. He had a Ben federal rights for that unfamiliar with him. He has done a number of different things career. He's been a an onsite producer for college football. He's been an Xs knows producer for NFL network. And now writes a weekly film breakdown piece for the has done some different draft coverage stuff at the ethnic as well. And he was at the end of his articles. And at the end of a lot of articles this past season. He would have like this week in what might Daniels did more or less and just show Mike Daniels? Molly. So why have I heard that criticism of Mike gains from fans because they what they're looking at. I feel like I've in west Jason about this. If we get him again before we get off the air tonight here on ninety four or five ESPN FM. I feel like there has been. I've heard Jason talk about that criticism within the building of Mike Daniels. Talk a lot of talk, and maybe not living up to it as much as he should on the football. We we can follow up with Jason on that that could be entirely misguided. But getting back to cook Jimmy grams may be more apt comparison. See this is just because like now we've seen Jimmy Graham. I think probably going into last season. Yeah. You were thinking chocolate chip cookie. And then what I mean by what you look. Yes, athletically. He's still looks good. Like just standing there. Yes. And then you see him not being able to do how many times this past season. Did you see Jimmy Graham try to make a catch near the goal line? Where you went. Supposed to be worth. Tropic? Stay home to feet he tried to leap over someone and just like tripped over himself and fell down Granville Cobb. And I know he's not a Packer anymore. But does he fit the mold of a guy that you think is going to be a chocolate chip cookie when you buy it? And then it turns out that's tough because their injuries. Yeah. Like he's like a chocolate chip cookie crumble. Yeah. Like, you left him on the counter too long. And you're like ours. Look great. And then they turn out to be a little stale to eat it. Love's oatmeal raisin. I'm kind of appalled and feel disrespected by this conversation. I really do. That's fair. That's fair stance. Kyle. It's not my fault. You have bad taste. Once again, I will reiterate, I think raising cookies are very very good. Just not as good as chocolate chip. That is the undefeated never lost king of the cookie, by the way. Thank you to the Green Bay Packers for forcing us into this position where we're talking about wide receiver body type and chocolate chip cookies because they selected a guard slash center with their second round pick like I would love to breakdown actual football tonight. But we've been forced into a situation we've been cornered by the Packers selection where we have to do stuff like this because what am I to break down? Here's here's another good. One from Twitter Stras says Jeff Janus. Don't you do that? Yeah. Nobody's better than Jeff. Janice said one hundred percent don't don't don't make oatmeal cookie oatmeal raisin of everyone to call. It. It is not disrespectful to raise. Keyboarding or Twitter at ESPN walkie. Would you rather have your body type or decay? Akers cookie comparison as well telling me to cookies here and present you with the option of oatmeal raisin versus chocolate chip. You take an oatmeal raisin. And I'm putting it in the microwave to heat it up a little while nice and warm, but I if when I go when I go to Mickey D's, I get to oatmeal raisin and get one chocolate chip. I didn't even know they had raised delicious. I have taken people there to have try the cookies there, maybe a drive through trip in my future the way home tonight. Interesting street key voting on the Twitter at ESPN Milwaukee. Give us your cookie Packer comparisons. Coming up next. The Packers actually will make us election. "jimmy grim" Discussed on The Dan Patrick Show
"I mean, they got Jimmy grim. But you know. Yeah. But he he was he was not the Jimmy Graham that we knew you're right. That's a really good point. Yeah. All right. We'll take a break Jordy Nelson who just retired will join us coming up. Yeah. In about thirty minutes, forty minutes from now, I wonder if there was any chance he was going back to the Packers for one more year man there. He put together a season of four seasons that are bell stand with any hall of fame wide receiver. Of course. Mclovin. Says system wide receiver because he had Aaron Rodgers throw into do you think he may have made Aaron Rodgers better? Oh, yeah. But you think if he had landed with another quarterback he would have those crazy stats. He's he's a it wasn't a first round pick. He was like Julio Jones where he came out of nowhere. A guarantee we don't know how many wide receivers are great without a great quarterback like five like, Larry FitzGerald, and like a few other guys. Okay. But Larry had Kurt Warner in. Carson palmer. You know one's all Famer one was very good. Granted he probably had less talent at that position than maybe any other wide receiver in history. If you look at the numbers, Larry Fitzgerald's, put up like Randy moss was in a system. I mean, you got to play with Brady for a little while. Jerry Rice, see, I think this diminishes Jerry Rice, if we're taking, you know, your philosophy on this, mclovin. He played with Steve Young Joe Montana. You know, have diminished Jerry Rice a thousand times in front of you. How is it possible? You have the greatest offensive coach greatest quarterback in greatest wide receiver doesn't that strike you as a coincidence. They were all helping each other be great. It's just that it's impossible that you just happen to pluck the most talented quarterback ever the most talented receiver. Okay. Who is the most talented who's the most important one out of that group? I got Bill Bill walls. Oh my gosh. No doubt replaced Montana with young and kept going. Do you think Steve Young would have been successful? Another place new Montana was successful in Kansas City kinda. Well, I think Steve Young probably would have been. But I they all help each other. That's sort of my point. They all worked in that that cysts. Okay. Is Tony Gonzalez, then with your logic the greatest receiver of all time. No because he had a bunch of quarterbacks who couldn't hit the wide receiver. So they had to go down the seem to the tight end. No if they can't hit the wide receiver. What makes you think they can hit the tight end? That's everybody knows a quarterback. Who does have a big arm is going to go to the tight end because he's right there in the Middle East huge. Tar tight ends don't need good quarterbacks. So so rob gronkowski's not a whole Famer. You yourself have said when there's a rookie quarterback. They gotta draft. A get a good tight end to help him out. That is true. See, but everybody knew the ball was going to Gonzalez. In Tokyo, adults not far for the great. He's good. But, but if I'm going to do this, and I don't think these voters have ever I'm curious if anybody's ever done a study on this wide receivers based on their quarterback's ability. And and then you sort of. Add subtract, multiply divide, and you go who is the greatest quarter greatest wide receiver based on their quarterbacks. Not being great. Yeah. Yeah. Larry FitzGerald numbers. You could see when he had Kurt Warner. He was catching one hundred three balls one hundred ninety six ninety seven ninety Kurt Warner retires. Then the max hall era, I use that as a broad term eighty catches seventy one. He's healthy. He's not injured. Eighty catches. Seventy-one catches eighty to catch a sixty three catches the next season. He has one hundred nine catches. What's the caveat there?.
