"Leads us to saturday and giving away quite a bit of money. Two million dollars with these three Steaks some good maiden allowance races as well and eleven race card on saturday. And in fact. I know you also address the the scheduling here into the fault as advanced for the meat and of course thursday's the they're going to continue to coordinate these With churchill for television purposes and so Thursdays two o'clock one o'clock on on fridays and Basically basically scheduled for september two o'clock thursdays fridays. Through the weekend once we get to october. Think it's there's days. Go back to one o'clock when chemo starts and they'll go sort of mix and match with keeneland and then the weekends i believe depending on number of races it would either be one o'clock at twelve thirty five. I think that made the big card. Sue the champagne or worse than sort of things They might be twelve thirty five If you're going to run ten or eleven So basically members one o'clock in two o'clock and On thursdays and then tober basically one o'clock with some twelve thirty thrown in on on the weekend there. We go very Tomorrow then one o'clock start and handful of made an action open company and new york breads but Let's talk about the two turf stakes as opposed to the The the dirt Grand prix where lone rock Just seems to have everybody over a barrel at these distances and probably one or two out of there to parks also. Oh yeah we have similar rates that there is a race at parx next weekend. It's a little later on but Yeah i i think it's grated less money but it has a You know won't have long rockin. And so i think that'll be so. I'm not sure if marin run here or not but It's long rocks. Basically right. he'll lose at some point. I just don't know what's going to be more well and The the the race and question the greenwood cop and speaking of Going to philly. You got something coming from philly. Chris griffin in the booth the next three days. Yeah yep Johnny is is Have had his quarantine here. He's doing all right so it's not You know not a major issue for him. I don't think i But chris In the i shouldn't have brought in and bring my parks credential for next weekend with him. But i guess i think Yeah we know miramar. Nice job yesterday. I guess he could mom today for the weekend and then christmas weekend johnny. I back next week. Dive into the oaks the derby. Some thoughts I think my thoughts are going to echo. It was my previous guest. James scully While i may not be on board with his football pick. I think i am on board with his horse. Racing picks You know the charles appleby to Two horses are the ones. I'm probably most interested in creative flair Supposed to be in a forward position in the oaks. Even mike smith here admitted that he wanted to get her there and she didn't want to go or whatever Jim spencer is in from europe to ride. And i do.

Even mike smith here admitted that he wanted to get her there and she didn't want to go or whatever Jim spencer is in from europe to ride. And i do believe that the It charles appleby drove him to the airport His instructions will be you know. Have a safe flight and get the philly into the early That you know from the fence there. There's not a ton of speed the race. So if he can get her out there She can either be close to the pace and to me. i think she's the horse to beat The to chad brown phillies are Competitive higher truth has had to really good in my opinion in the belmont oaks and tokes and she just found Couple of courses that were better than her out or or maybe pace you know. Maybe this'll be the same type of pace situation in sarajevo where she chase gone. Lima an trying to make a run at it and then this time she's going to be chasing it created a slayer. I don't really have a good field. If you do on how to juku for andre five i don't know You know what type of doesn't look like she's a front runner type And i don't know how talented she is before. I before we go there the cab other philly shanta sarah. I thought she was really good. And the pucker up And if the tel timers right now not guaranteeing that she ran. Eleven flat Last night the miles to she. The last part of the race in that mileage rates was the best part for her and while she hasn't run this far yet although she'd be doing mild a quarter on synthetic and It looks like he's she should be land. So basically it's charlie appleby and checklists for me dirty. I think he just Looking all the horses that have Parentheses in great britain Soldier rising great britain breath bolshoi ballet and irish bread and tokyo goal might get a little at such spread. Might get a little loss in the shuffled ear. But yeah i remember talking to this trainer so she got by ashi after the belmont derby that morning after and he said i'm going home and i'm coming back to your next one here and now it's another one too. He wanted his colt into the race. A little bit more than He was yeah he wasn't in the race at all really and if he can get a not on me but a more forward proficient. Excuse me I think it could be dangerous. johnny does a nice job. Johnny the very good front end writer showed with the with the channel calf in the man of war back here in may if he can get out of the gate and then forward and control things that was to be a bit interesting tango tango. Tango me to be the other sort of front running type in here but jack is. Jackson is taking the blinkers off. So you wonder what the exactly type of chips looking for. But i think it does come down eventually. Even other won't it may not be that A super strong face. You'd beer for charlie appleby and both. La who this is planned biercee for bolshoi ballet supposed to run in france on sunday got scratched by stewards over some Recordkeeping situation with an influenza vaccination for the horse and wound up here Actually wound up going back to ireland and then flying back to here so Like that bulls are dali's of frequent flyer miles but then he did get the train twice Two mornings earlier. In the week in ballydoyle. And then i believe he was on the track morning You're dumb on after getting a quarantine yesterday you'd be his last race the the The voyager stakes group two in a mile and a half. You are with very good. And he finished strong and You know. I think he's even applebee's competent that he thinks that the source of you know if he brings his eight gained. He's the one that beat. That's what he said. I'm glad you focused a little tokyo. Gold though Kobayashi and The the kendra jerome. Cole i thought that was a good race that that iran. And you're certainly right. That he's with the uber and Bolshoi taking all the money and attention. He's he's he's going to be a decent price again so not sixteen to one but yeah little race and You know as you mentioned sort of alluded to at the top you. Can this bring down the curtain on the triple turf. Triple series of which. was Martin pans is Sort of baby. Here and i think there is. I think there is room for this type of series The naira have to have all three I don't know maybe work. Another track in there and States it out a little bit more. Maybe could be even better. I don't know why Driving really sat down and not a schedule out of anything but does seem that we sort of things up fairly close together at the end of the dominant foamy spring me right in the middle of the saratoga meet in the first week of the dot com. Me wonder if that's you know. Do we have to have them all. Maybe someone else can have one of them. Well and the money that was thrown at them is also an you know the these are these are outlandish amounts of money. They're the euro's they're happy to come because they don't get to run for money like this But you could frankly you could trim the sails on these and and probably still get them to come right and the only thing i. I'm a little bit. Rankles me just a little bit of save made the jockey club derby the win and you're in race to try and boost it a little bit and the joe hirsch lou lost it lost. Its tune in your in status from a couple of years ago and jewelers should be a winning in the end. They're all sort of you. You've been easier in the reader's cup. You're not gonna but as far as the payment stuff expense coverage Joe hirsch be a winning near enough this. This is horrid non graded restricted race. It shouldn't be winning. You're that's a fair point. And i didn't realize that about the hirsch The rest of the card there. There's actually the card opens the dave i don't know how much How much of a chance you had to look at some of the other action but there's a seven furlong maiden race that opens the card. That is really interesting. And it includes a caroline fletcher gray home bred by galileo out of. I'm a chatterbox. Yikes phileo delray and delray. And i'm very interested In this race in general. Bruce levine has got a purchase for babs racing. That's fifteen to one that mill ridge bread. This is more than ready out of dreaming is always and she was. She was pretty good going Intermediate distance on the grass. It would not surprise me at a price. If if neck romance sir. That's an interesting name actually Fifteen to one i. I'm going to be betting the early Tomorrow i'm going to watch the board here mad. The pope has got the home. Bred medallion doro colt. So lures flavian pratt. This is grand sonata and lots got a good dolphin. Home-bred there's a lot going on in the opener tomorrow fun right. It is a fundraising. They'll bottom courses that very interesting the cadillac for promotion out of affiliate you i. I'm chatterbox. Recall there being on the grass but No grant grants and it was interesting seeing if he works source in these more work. Fairly well Fundraiser.

"And i worked at run scored per game in the major leagues. And i said the down. So if you know. We're now at the three outcomes which is strikeouts you know walks in home runs if home runs that important. How come we're hitting more home runs. But we're going more more more less runs scored it in about him and he looked at me any smiley. So i'm going to have to get back to you on that. And he's a really nice man but the point is i don't know you know analytics are what they are. You know the you know you give a young kid who has a bad wind up. That can't repeat it. You know we want you to pitch in this quadrant. You know you know if you know if you do this if you do that if the agitronics the rhapsody bill camera tells you you stay behind your slider and you know you do this and whatever but if you can't repeat your wind up to what what could is the information you know. I mean if You know spin rate. We knew about spin rate. I used to always ask. Elrod hendricks become my no hitter. Said how am. I getting these guys out he goes. They don't see the ball. They think they can hit that high fastball. And i'd had guys like jim spencer spencer. He was over thirty two. I kept him from hitting three hundred. Two straight years and i'd see him is pitching on wednesday in texas. I'd see him on monday when we were chatting and then we had until back then those days until now feel gordon. Game he goes. You know i'm not gonna swing it. That hot fastball monday. Tuesday he says you know. I'm off that of course on wednesday of course type fastball. He pop it up cloud or whatever so in the twelfth inning. It's gone from my twentieth win. And john mccain blows a clay. My car was out by about a half a step and cause them safe and that'd be in went into one. It's two to two. And i'm trying to win my twentieth late august and jim spencer comes up and you know. He was a little fastball hitter. I you know you're in a tie. Boggy to in the twelfth inning and throwing the fastball away and he gets a little stop lines tonight. look i should. do you want the ball. I said you know he was from baltimore. He used to play basketball game. I said you could have been doing that for the last two years so we knew about where to pitch guys. We knew that you know as henry so that they don't see the ball you have you know you have a high fastball. That has currently great spin rate. You know what. I thought my purse world series game. Santa colfax is last game. And the i'm on deck and dodger stadium and sandy throws that the three thousand balls and he thought about swinging at all three of any never could get the bad going so as i'm walking up to home plate i i said I said radio. She said what i said. You know you could hear him. But you couldn't see them. So i walk up to home plate and he throws and i was pretty good hitter. He throws fastball. And i it starts in the lobby and it ends up on the second floor. I said no. I'm going to really have to get going way. Throws me the same pitch. Except it's not as fastball. But you know now there's a term cuddling where if you throw the pitch out of the same you know release point. They don't know the difference. Well roseborough monroe catches on the ground. And that's of high learned. How what santa colfax was santa colfax because he had a fastball curveball. Pretty much the two coaches he had. You could never tell the difference when started in the lobby ended up on the second and third floor once started a lobbying ended up in lower basement. So you know. Baseball hasn't really changed. It's just you know. I think they they wanna you know quantify it and all that but i mean you know i know pitchers are good and they're throwing with more callosities and you could talk all day long about whether they're using substances or not but at the end of the day You know ted williams tapped his bat on the plate in nineteen sixty nine. Said you know. Boys get a good pitch to hit preferably fastball. And you need to have a six degree upswing so we talked about launching go back in nineteen sixty nine and of course he was headway. Yes jim palmer here on the rich eisen show I could talk all day but Before i let you go. Jim i i do want to give you the floor and shohei otani of what. We're seeing a unicorn every fifth day and certainly every other day I'll give you the floor and what we're seeing from him right now. It's just amazing. you know. Read an article this morning about babe. Ruth only what pitched in the outfield. And what two hundred eighteen games and he said you know. You can't do both. We'll all can't but how big is he got. He's it's like he's you know we. You know i mean if you broadcast for the orioles in the american league east your stand and you know and and judge and all that i mean guys that are superdome. They look like they. Should you know be on the you know in the movies and you know and then you know some of the you know the superhero movies and all that so But otani just you know. I saw him a couple of years ago and we could actually go on the field and talk to players and all that yeah you know and then you saw him run and you said he. It's ball now. Gets the ball real on way to all fields. You know pitching wise. My social was the manager. I've said you gotta get them in the middle of coaching. He's gonna hurt his arm which he did so he did the time john. You know it's it's i mean it's it's it's it's it's kinda what al michaels used to always talk about. He said you know. And you could be reading a book when when dow hitting for the oakland a.'s. Reggie jackson you stop breathing. When otani pitches or comes to the play you pay attention. Yep so. I don't know if you can say it any better than that. I mean. i'm sure people could say much more eloquently bob cops. This comes to mind when we talked about that. But yeah he's a special player and You know if you're very angel fan you know or you got this. see tom. Seaver strike out ten batters. You know in april what day april twenty. Second nineteen seventy right. You know just to think that you were there or you get to see. Otani do some of the things he does. That's what makes baseball game. It is jim. I appreciate your time. I think I think Who who's that. What's what's the name your dog. That's you know Idea that teddy grossman's world thing done man. He's ninety years old. My i have a stepson with autism. Spencer sits up. Let's name him teddy grossman. We have a human teddy grossman who lives in santa monica. And then we have jedi. Grossman was barking in the background of a wired hair dachshund about an hour south of from From atlanta got him five years ago the day jordan speech at the two balls in the water we were our away from those spring dachshund farm where we got the handle drove twelve hundred miles from palm beach to get him when the speed dumped a couple of balls in the water on twelve which i had done too so i know it's you know. Of course he's not supposed to be. Jim paul well. Let's see him throwing up into johnny bench. One day. jim see how world so take care. Thanks for the call. Jim look for my call again..

"Like okay okay. Thank you for telling me like i need to. I need to be reminded of this stuff. So when you manage those expectations you're going to align your be more alignment which is the integrity issue. And then you're going to communicate. I thought it would be this. And it's not my missing something or do we need to do something but that expectation piece. I think it takes care of if you follow up on. It takes care of the other two pretty well. Yeah and i love what the connection you just made is sometimes the expectation you have is out of integrity where you're walking around judging someone be unfairly and you have in. It's back to no more mister. Nice guy. Covert contract with your wife in your blaming her for not showing up a way that you'd never even communicated with her who's out of integrity you were. You are ally co. What else right paolo purna. How'd you overcome childhood. Traumas that are still affecting you when you didn't think they were when you thought it was in the past but somehow keeps holding you back. Let's just say it first and foremost go to therapy. Yeah you know. I'm not a medical expert especially trauma. Yeah i'm not a psychiatrist number claim to be so anything that i say i'm going to share some other thoughts here of course with you but as should be taken with a grain of salt and understanding that i'm not a professional these matters. I'm just hearing my perspective. But there's a. There's a stigma stigma on men going to get professional counseling and help and i made this analogy the other day. It was probably in a podcast. And i said you would never ridicule or poke at a contractor who decided to use a nail gun instead of a hammer to build a home. You would say he's using this tool at his disposal to build a better home. That's going to be built better. Hardier construction more efficient productive. And that's it period right hunter who needs to get the best equipment available. Whether it's the newest compound bow or the new scope for his gun you'd never say. Oh well i can't believe he's using that scope now you'd say make sense like he's a hunter. He wants to improve efficiency. He wants to use tools at his disposal to produce the outcome. And then we get into the mind and the mindset and all of a sudden it's like oh he's going to therapy. Oh what a lose broken. Yeah he's broke. And what a loser like housi-. Aw he can't just figure it out. Why do we do that man. Go get the help you need. Talk with somebody have that conversation worked through these things. That's very very powerful. You know outside of that. I'm probably not going to share a whole lot. Because i think that's that's what you need to do. I in anything. I say you might say. Well i'll just do that instead. Now go get some help and if you have cool come back and say hey. I have had help. I've talked with these guys have had these conversations but that's seriously that's just my recommendation. This point go get the help you need. It's okay to see a therapist. It's okay to see a counselor. It's okay to get some professional help somebody who can unlock some of these thoughts and things have been bouncing around in your brain in your body that you haven't been able to figure out yet that's what you need to do. Yeah i like jim spencer. Do people complain or get depressed over life. People die shit goes wrong. It's just life anything that you would add to. Jim's comment it's it. Goes back to what we were talking about earlier with expectations. Yeah that's your expectation. You're you're actually hedging and managing your expectations. It's just life sometimes thing i've shitty. That's a management of expectations by definition. That's exactly what you're doing and other people place weird unhealthy expectations on things. This should go this way. It should be this way. I'm entitled to this. I deserve that we already. We feel like we went through this pretty well. But we've got a lower the bar a little bit for what we expect life to be an and i would say this because i talk about this and people like well. You should never lower the bar. Don't lower the bar for your performance. It's not what i'm saying. Lower the bar for the expectation from said performance or just life in general. Yeah i want to do well for example with this podcast and so i'm gonna do everything within my control to put the odds in my favour by working hard and being diligent secure and great podcasts. Answering questions being well researched learning how to communicate more effectively. That's all within my control. And then i just gotta let the chips fall where they may. I had one of my early mentors and trainers say ryan. Just do your best. And let the chips where they may and if they don't fall in the way that you want them to then figure out if there's something else you can do within your control maybe it's a one off so look for trends instead of just one off results and focus on the things that you can control not the things that you can't people die. People get sick. The economy goes south people. We don't like get elected. President in politics doesn't always work out the way that you'd like to the way that you see it all largely outside of your control. Get some of that control back. Focus on the things that that matter. I talked a lot about this. In my financial planning practice. People would talk about the financial economy and how things were working. And i said you know if you focused more on your own personal economy you really wouldn't have to be so wrapped up in what the global or national economy was doing. You would have to be so focused on what the stock market was doing on any given day. You wouldn't be so focused on how the president is doing this or not doing that. You'd be focused on saving money. Investing paying off debt living within your means making smart purchases investing correctly. All of that within your.

Why don't you come out to hollywood and At all hired a worth of us as hollywood giving it away. We're back to new york. I was newly married at the time. And and and got a got a car and drove out to hollywood just to sort of test. The waters see what it was like. I slept on. Jim's gyms living world tour. And i decided that's where i should be. 'cause new york was really tough. You know i didn't. I didn't know anybody there. And yeah getting into this theaters. And i was. I was looking to design for theatre and and that would have been almost impossible for me. Getting wasn't that talented. I i didn't. I didn't come with any kind of credentials. And i realized you know without harvard. Harvard degree where at least some of the work. I just didn't know anybody that i couldn't so i decided to come out the law los angeles and and and a lot of stuff worked as a production manager did kentucky fried movie as a production. I did Some good old boy driving in movies as sort of the art department said again peter later on these hundred and fifty thousand dollar movies got shown on the southern. You just do everything. There's no there's no there's no lines of what you can and cannot do get it done eventually. Migrated into doing some episode. Where did this all to forty robert. Which was jimmy. Dykes designed the the pilot. And then he didn't want to do the series. And so i took over the series and i started working episode. Tv and also doing. We had tb new. Continue doing of real real low budget features but But it interesting to this whole group of people. I did a lot of black black movies. Because at the time The the black stroke curious though cheryl's sweetheart she's the dog and and secure remember all the names but you know when the black movies come around and they'd offer them to the black decorators. The black artist didn't want to do them because they didn't want to get paid as just to a black stop. You world class talents that they wanted to do the big shows so they needed somebody to do it. And i came from the south. So i wound up doing the back. The story is actual page and And then king with with jim spencer and then Through the context. I'd met people i've met. I got hooked up with norman. Lear now haley olenin episodic thing called about palmerstown usa and it was semi autobiographical from alex about him growing up in the segregated south. Yeah i was looking into that. Because i had never heard of it but i was looking like oh. When was this on. I. i didn't. I mean i. I have never heard of it seventy and we only did the pilot and we did serve six six eight hour episodes now it but it's been it's been broadcast occasionally as sweet and i have to say it was it was it was really life changing for me. Alex was one of the best rock on tours. I'd ever met right. You can tell a story and you would be knows marrived. And i loved loved working up this glitter at this is to lead back to easy. This is this is what i wanna hear. This is what i'm in boy. So alex was really really special and so was Doorman normally lear. But i had much board dealings with alex. This show required Lots of principle sets and And it also meant that we had to build a little southern care and Which was great. We built it out at the deal. Disney ranch last week the canyon and Don't they don't have many pictures of it on. I'm be either well anyway. What happened was We had the sense that we're now call overseas studios at the time they were called air. At international and layered international was the old celtic studio and And it was a rare in that it would. There was the the old sandoval goal and lot which was in hollywood. And then the celtics studios. Which would now core city in part of sony and those were the two big independent lots were non-signatory. "Yeah i know i was. I was super lucky during the pandemic of like emailing people and being like. I know you're not doing anything. I know you got some time so it was good i. It's it's amazing. I absolutely just love hearing especially how people got into the business and door like what keeps them in it. Because it's it's not the easiest thing in the world but no as you know we're all part of the carnival went. It's always a lot of interesting stories. I i love that you have. Et behind you. I re watched it again last night with my two. Two year olds They watched a little piece of it and It's just the best movie. it's just absolutely the best movie. Everything about it is so magical and makes you. I don't know it's so great. Did you know that we when you read the script you think did you or were you like what this is weird. Oh no no. I love the script and i really loved the writer melissa. Mathison was just so fantastic to work with and such a lovely spirit the planet. Oh that's a thin. I mean. I can't imagine being surrounded and knowing that it's i mean it wasn't like steven spielberg at time. But it was still steven spielberg. You must've got like steven. spielberg done. Close encounters he done that. Draws he It just come off indiana jones. The first one so it wasn't like it wasn't like he some odd. Oh true that's true. How did you now that is noted as your first production designer job like it wasn't right like how did he how did he just. I mean obviously you art directed before but were you. Was it like meeting with and and going over your ideas for the vision and everything that you got it or did you know him actually a a good story Start at the beginning. Which was i was trained in theatre. Bfa theater university of north carolina chapel. And and i went to new york. I see what i could find. And i didn't know of soul their soul anybody. We're out of north carolina to be honest but he just sort of held. My nose jumped into the pool. Their first job. I got was as a Supposedly is a gopher for for a little small boutique commercial company. But would they really want to do. Is they were not. They weren't teamster signatories. So i was gabbing. Teamster style i would go to canada service center like two in the morning and pick up their equipment for the next day. Shoot drive the trunk. Lock it up from my My place and then go out get a couple of hours sleep and then go take the equipment to to the shoe and it was It was fun. Because i got to really learn about the equipment and i got to learn about who did what and eventually i moved on from that to to location scouting and doing a lot of other stuff primarily move forward in production. I didn't get any jobs in design. And then i started working as a location manager and then a production manager. I saw that and you were a d. on a couple of things and you've written and you've i didn't didn't i mean i did it on some small shoots i didn't do a and i did I mean later later on progress to the second unit directing but initially would happen was After a couple of years in new york One of the people that i knew moved out to california and job on the fox call feet away which was sort of the buddy holly story and he asked me to come down to the specific because he knew i was from the south and be the location manager and i did and i met the architect on the show. You know at that point. They were very This was ninety five They were very parsimonious about giving out. Production design credits and so despite the fact that he was the army was the store called trek. And that's a a guy named jim spencer And and and jimmy really hit it off. Well we were both gamblers. And so we'd take our purdue money and just play poker back and play though just ridiculous and then we also have a lot of fun in the jackson mississippi area and and i and i worked really well with him as a location. Under 'cause i would. I would oppose locations. So i keep sketches. Oh now the layout was our work eventually. My job's he's doing my job. I didn't. i didn't have any idea who did want to you know. I just figured you know. This is wants a location. I can show him how it works. You know and And later on. I worked with him as a mark director on this Four hour call it. Mdc big event is sort of a mini series. But it was on the life of dr martin luther king king and did that. Make him georgia but Anyway you know. I i I bet him we got along really well and fox decided that the movie itself was to political it was It wasn't the one gary busey. Which was the one that was eventually made up. Buddy holly story this one actually had gary busey in it. But he played gi. Allison who was the drummer buddy. Holly and and this story was about the fact. That was the same free. But the impresario. Who i heard buddy. Holly's test recordings. Both them sight unseen thinking. They were black. This is a true story. And they and they and and and on these tours of the south well they were just gonna pecs poison we'll bigoted and they found came to new york thinking they broken into the time they were booked with all these black r b. Artist's doing this tour in the south and the whole time they're doing the south with these black rb artists. Their own not fadeaway was taking off in the charts and they were getting really famous so they were drawing all these crowds as well all the separation of that's probably great story. They just cozy rise and just listen and enjoy. Who cares if i mean it. Sounds like a great story. I i had no idea. I've i've only ever seen the buddy. I've only ever seen the.

If you think there's gonna be more hole in ones Tom Brady Interceptions is minus 1000. Now he threw three picks in the NFC championship game. There, he could throw zero. Let's say that one is probably a safe estimate as to how many in an entire tournament holding one's What's what's What's an average number. I would say There's gotta baby one. No, I wouldn't or three. I was gonna say I feel like there's two every week, right? Because you know, necessarily see it on TV. It could be a guy on Thursday who ends up shooting 83. But has he hasn't a somewhere? Okay s so you could get that one for plus 5 50. I kind of like that. Also. Ed Climates corner. Will there be a covert vaccine commercial during the broadcast? Oh, yeah. Yeah. What's what's What's the better Hold on. What's the bet? And Well, it's just yes or no. And actually, yes, is the is the dog it plus 1 40, then No, it's minus 20. I have t o. We need some definitions here because what is a covert vaccine commercial? I believe are friends of Budweiser right? They have They are not running a commercial because they are using those funds to raise awareness about the Kobe vaccine now, which in itself has already probably generated 100 of millions of dollars of Marketing dollars. Because here we are talking about Budweiser, right? But no. Is that a vaccination or just a covert testing or again, is it pandemic says here, will there be a moment vaccine commercial? "This is Jim Hawking ahead. Yeah. Hey, Jim Spencer, How are you? Just fine. How about you? I'm doing Well, Thank you very much. I appreciate you taking my call. The reason I'm calling is we have a lack of a better term a screen been Like Port area That's over 2000 Square feet that covers our outdoor kitchen. And, um, our swimming pool on during this last snowstorm, I guess that got too much snow on it. We had about five inches up this direction. And a collapsed. Um, so I've got I've got a couple of questions pertaining to this is, you know, one, um, would be whenever we get the settlement. Check that we have to build it back. Exactly the same are what kind of latitude do we have? To change it up down to the way that my wife and I would like it to look, you could do anything you want to do. When you get that check. You don't mean technically, You don't even have to build it back. If you don't want to. Okay. All right. Well, that's good. Let's get information. The The second thing would be, um, The swimming pool was also damaged in this process, and it's a vinyl line swimming pool that in the ground and what we're having difficulty with is locating. Um Anybody that feel deals with final cool liners for in ground pool that things like the pool industry is moving away from those and was wondering if you might have any kind of contact. That you could provide that could source of on a liner force. There is a company because I I've actually looked into a final final liner pull myself. Within the last six months. I cannot remember the name of the company, but, uh There are companies online. I mean, where you can even order this stuff for do it yourself. I don't know that there's anyone Truthfully in Texas, who are installing them, though, and that's that's probably where you're running into the issue there a little more popular and other parts of the country. Yes, sir. Okay. All right. Well, I appreciate you taking a phone call. Thank you, sir. You bet. Take care about Let's see. We're gonna head Tioga, Texas City and Lawrence. Welcome to Texas home improvement. Hello, Jam. I'm fixed to put on the roof and I've got a few bids and 11 was guardian, which is one of your sponsors and they came out and told him he had a M. Solar hide underlayment, But it says a lot more expensive doesn't work can do anything about Especially a little bit, I guess I You couldn't call her We could You call her radiant Barry? Or what? Did you just call that? Well, it It's a solar barriers. I think what they call them and basically it. It's there to help block some of the heat transfer and everything from getting down into your Attic space. And usually it's not a very expensive upgraded. It's actually minimal cost. To upgrade to it. So normally, I would say I would do it. Okay? I thought when you had to have a little hair lamb in air. There. Situation, but it's not exactly That's where you get to your solar barrier. You're going on the radiant barrier in a thermal break has to have dead airspace. They've got newer technology out Now That's where I was talking about the energy que radiant barrier, for instance. That is a radiant barrier with a thermal break in the middle. And you could stand which hit him behind materials. And that's very similar to Tolo. What they're talking to you about. Okay. Now, if you had a What's the process of if you had Put the roof on first, and then I'm doing faces, too. Did you want to do the face your first and then the roof or vice versa. Usually you're going to do your soffit and facial boards first and then the roof because your drip edge will hang over those facial boards. Okay, So when does the painting and all that come in? You can you can do it before the roof goes on or after either one. It doesn't. It doesn't matter. Okay, now I had one coming, so they're gonna spray that. But do you recommend spring spraying that You know it last longer if you could put it on with a brush and rollers than it does spraying It just goes a lot quicker and looks better because it's a smoother application when it's sprayed on Um, but it doesn't last longer. I know it doesn't last longer the the thickness from brushing and rolling actually last longer. Okay, So you want to do that You wanted to the face first and then the roof second? Yep. Okay. All right, Especially you're gonna spray it. If you are going to decide to spray it, let them paint before you put the roof on. You may end up doing a little touch up here and there, but you know, they always get a little over spray up on the roof when they spray and so get the over spray on the old roof and then put the new one on afterwards. Well, they can actually do that without taking off some of the shingles and all that that face of work. Oh, yeah, I do The do the facial work. Yeah, and you don't have to take the shingles off. They may damage the drip edge a little bit. But that's nothing that's going to cause any major problems. You'll be doing the roof. You're gonna be doing the roof pretty quick after that, anyway. Right. And in the drip edge goes on with the room, right? Yeah. Goes on whatever.
