"Major win for the U. S. A women's gymnastics team as soon easily. Simone Biles substitute wins the gold in the women's individual all around gymnastics Final. Kathi Foster has that for us with running gymnastics champion Simone Biles on the sidelines. All eyes were on Sunni Salih as heard from the live Olympic coverage on NBC broadcast from Tokyo. The 18 year old from ST Paul, Minnesota, ready to go on uneven bars. Sunni Lee The family watching back home and as the first among American Jim Nist to compete in the Olympics, nothing but cheers and tears from family, friends and the entire community as they watched Sunni Lee when the Olympic gold medal in the women's individual all around gymnastics final, The wind comes after Simone Biles withdrew from the all around competition to focus on her mental health. The move open to the door for Sunis Elita Shine, and that she did during a solid floor routine performance narrowly beat Rebecca Andrade of Brazil, who stepped out of bounds twice. There are definitely a lot of emotions, but I'm super proud of myself for sticking with it and believing in myself because This medal will not be possible without my coaches, the medical team, my parents, and it's this is so surreal and I haven't even let it thinking yet soon easily has suffered a number of setbacks over the past two years. "Professionals. From NPR news. This is all things considered. I'm Ailsa Chang and I'm Mary Louise Kelly. Fox News has been one of the most prominent platforms for skeptics, even critics of the covid vaccines and yet in recent days, several Fox News personalities seem to have gone out of their way to affirm the importance of getting the vaccine today, White House press secretary Jen Psaki told reporters that administration officials have engaged Fox News execs over the matter. We understand also the importance of reaching Fox's audience about the covid 19 vaccines and their benefits and like we are with all of you here today we, of course, are in regular contact. We are in contact right now with NPR media correspondent David Folkenflik. Hey, David. Hey Para Louise. So if we flipped on Fox News right now, and they're talking covid. What's the kind of thing we might hear? We'll take what we heard last night. Sean Hannity is bitten a big fan of former president Trump an advisor as well as anything else a skeptic of this administration, But he went, as you suggested out of his way to say, Look, let's pay attention to the science. Let's pay attention to what doctors have to say. Your doctors have to say Here's a brief clip of what he shared with viewers last night. And it absolutely makes sense for many Americans to get vaccinated. I believe in science, I believe in the science of vaccination. You heard similar things from folks like news anchor Bill Hemmer. Yesterday afternoon. You heard stuff on Fox and friends, which has been a place where you know has been hospitable to all kinds of conspiracy theories in recent years in some real skeptical stuff about the vaccine, Steve Doocy Got into kind of a push and pull with his co host, Brian Kilmeade on Fox and friends do you see? Said Look, this saves lives. You know 97% of those who are getting, uh The the disease now seem to be those who are not vaccinated or deaths. Anyway. Let's make sure that people get that and as Kilmeade say, Well, people have to make choices Do see, really drilled down and say, Let's do that. So you could find these messages on Fox, which isn't always what you've been hearing on. Well, exactly. I mean, just to point out quite what the contrast is here for people who aren't maybe glued to Fox all day. What's been the more typical message from Fox News anchors. Well, early on, You heard a lot of folks including Sean Hannity's questioning the severity of the pandemic in the past, even using the questioning whether it was a hoax. Tucker Carlson to this day says, Look, I'm not telling people to get it. I'm not telling people not to get it and really is yet it seems to be soliciting people to come in and question the efficacy of vaccines themselves. You know, Hannity and Doocy have periodically shown up cropped opened and said vaccines are important seemed to work. And yet it's in the context of you know what a media matter study, for example, it's a left wing media watchdog found that over a recent two week period 60% of Fox's segments cast doubt on the vaccines, even segments like candidates where they acknowledge it. It's wrapped in total anger against elites against public health officials and against the administration for really urging people strongly to do it. So what's going on? Why the change in tone? I think there's a change in what's been happening at the nation at large. You've seen this huge spike this latest wave, particularly in Red states, where folks are often loyal Fox viewers You've had a lot of folks calling Fox News, uh, host incredible hypocrites. Given what's happening at their parent company. What's that? Well, Fox Court. The owner of Fox News has itself its own policies that are pretty specific, encouraging people to get vaccines and precautions. It's a lot like what you get the airport if you subscribed it the clear program, which is that you get whisked in and you don't have to take a whole slew of precautions that you otherwise have to do if you can show that you've had the vaccine. And real quick. Do we know anything more about the White House role here? Well, you know, CNN reported that there had been high level discussions repeatedly in recent weeks, and both Fox the White House kind of cast out on that, but clearly jump sake, the press secretary in the White House are trying to engage Fox folks. They did so in May at the Washington bureau level to say this is something that we really think the public messaging is important on and periodically Fox swings back to Serving its audiences less and serving the public interest a little bit more. NPR's David Folkenflik. Thank you. You bet. Women's gymnastics competition is one of the most anticipated events of the Tokyo Olympics. American Simone Biles is again at the top of her game, and she is the heavy favorite to defend the all around title from the 2016 Rio Games. Eric Schmidt of ST Louis Public Radio reports that the world's most decorated Jim Nist is approaching the sport's largest stage a little differently this time. Simone Biles enters the Tokyo Olympics as the greatest gymnast in a generation if not all time. Biles hasn't lost a competition since the middle of 2013, and she wins them by full points in a sport where competitors are usually separated by 10th, or 100th of a point. The world's best gymnast, says she wants to savor the Olympic experience. This time around. 2016 was such a blur. Once we got over there, everything happened so quick. Next time we get to relax a little bit and kind of enjoy training and enjoy the process files will still compete hard, showing off the range of skills she has developed that were once considered impossible. Chief among them a triple twisting double back flip on the floor exercise and the Yurchenko double Pike, a vault that launches her so high, she completes 2.5 flips before landing. She's the only woman to ever land it in competition. Bios acknowledges how her performances have pushed other athletes to up the difficulty in their own routines. We have reached a point where it gymnastics is getting more difficult and more difficult and a little bit more dangerous, so we're kind of walking on eggshells here. Like with her latest vault routine, Biles hasn't always been rewarded for pushing the boundaries of the sport. The International Gymnastics Federation, undervalued her.

"It Jasmine. She's calling up from Atlanta. Jasmine ur CBS Sports radio. How you doing are so I don't think necessarily that athletes should be forced to speak to the press. But as a fan of many sports I gained a lot of respect for athletes. When they do. There have been several athletes that I thought I didn't like before hearing them speaking the press conferences And it makes all the difference in the level of respect that I have for them as an athlete. Um, now I think that she made the right decision to pull out from the from the open. However. It's not her first rodeo, so she knew what was expected going in, and I understand dealing with depression, but I think that she should have made More conscious decision before going in knowing what was expected because to me, I feel like now it's adding to her stress and her and It may hurt her in the long run. I just think she should have taken a little bit more of a break instead of putting herself Do this type of scrutiny. Sure. Now I agree with you there and she admitted as much and she said she didn't want to be a distraction. She also said that she feels that she could have Done it a different way. But It's also true that this is not as you say, her first rodeo. But as our last, Carlos said. This is still relatively new for her. This is still this is still brand new. She's not as Serena or Venus Williams, who said she had been around 20 plus years in the public eye, and so it's a learning experience and it might have hurt her in the long run. It might hurt her in the short run. We hope that it doesn't That's that's legitimate, but I think it's I think it's a little too easy to say. You know, as I'm not saying you're agreeing with our earlier caller who just said, Well, you should know this before you sign up to be an athlete or be famous, you know that this is going to come This is all still knew. You know if we go back three or four years and thank you so much jasmine for calling from Atlanta, you go back three or four years. Come on. They are there. There are kids. They are teenagers on the tours right now this minute. They would all love Naomi Osaka spot. They would all love the fame. They would all love millions of Twitter followers and instagram. They would love all of the money that comes with it. But you know what prepares you for that? Nothing. You know what prepares you when you're actually in it? Nothing. You gotta go through it. And as Serena said, Everybody is different. You know, Naomi Osaka is not the first person to just be heavily scrutinized. We had an Olympian here. United States of America, Jim Nist. Gabby Douglas 2012 Olympics in London. I was fortunate enough to be out there. Lot of the attention on Gabby Douglas wasn't necessarily for how great she was as a Jim Nist. But as a teenager as a kid Lot of the attention was on her appearance. And it's like You. You play. Or you practice and you prepare for something your entire life to get to a certain spot. She's a kid. So what should she not have a dream? Or do people who know better should we have some type of responsibility to do better? So this is not a matter of a cop out. This is not a matter of all you make so much. Everybody's different. Everybody.

"You're listening to the atomic early show Tom dignity here, Sherry filling in for John today. John will be back tomorrow. So you probably have run across this unbelievable video. This is Simone Biles, completing for the first time in the history of the world. The first woman to ever do such a stunt. It's called the Yurchenko Double Pike in vault. Let's give a Listen back in Indianapolis Readyto watch Simone Biles do something astonishing once again. Forget about her. How much have you guys thought about this? The last couple of days. I couldn't even since the very first moment that we actually saw this with our own eyes right in front of us. I has been absolutely unbelievable to watch every single time. Here we go. Unbelievable. You know. Yesterday, Simone told us that she likes to let her gymnastics speak for her. Well, the queen has definitely spoken. Even our coaches were shaking their head. Okay, So the reason I know a lot of us start Jim Nist experts, I we most of us tune in every four years for the Olympics. Everyone I think, who is You know, follows the Olympics and all knows Simone Biles, the greatest woman, Jim Nist, and maybe the greatest gymnast ever. She's won everything, and that does something that no other woman had done. But the reason we're talking about it now, is there a couple of interesting wrinkles to this one is her philosophy. She was asked Why she does this. This is considered so dangerous. But a lot of people in the gymnastic community are discouraging it. They asked her why, and she said What? Sherry? Because I can, which I think is the perfect It reminds me. I think it was sir Edmund Hillary when they asked, why did you climb Mount Everest? And he said, Because it's there. It's like right because I can't. There's just something so profound about those, You know, a few simple words she can. Nobody else can. Now to me. The real oddball wrinkle in this, though, is that at least according to the articles that we've been reading especially The New York Times, they talk about how she is underscored for that particular stunt. That it's given the way gymnastics works is you pick you pick a, You know, move, whatever you're gonna do, and then they raid on the difficulty scale. So if it's not very difficult, they may give it like a six. And then if you do it perfectly, there's a lid on your score. You can't get any. It's like a perfect score for on Lee 1/6 level Well, this is was given a 6.6, which they say is remarkably low. You know the difficulty range so that because she's the only woman in the world they thought it was under scored and Was underscored intentionally, Yes. Right, because they don't want people necessarily to try it because it is so dangerous, which which it's so if C is counter. Of course, it's dangerous. I mean, I don't know. I I assume that it's dangerous because they say it's dangerous. I just find it fascinating because it seems like it's a rule designed to, um you know, sort of discourage people from doing something. I would guess a lot of things in the gymnastics. They're dangerous. It reminds me of. I remember. I think I can't remember Fowler was Lou Alcindor or when he became Kareem Abdul..

"To think. But in K 12 schools today, activists are pushing a radical new agenda. Instead of creating educated individuals. They are trying to create activists turning blank slates into members of racial, ethnic or gender groups in car. Flaked with each other, but it doesn't have to be. But many educators say these lines of attack and these new laws stemming from them are an attempt to whitewash history by intimidating school teachers into avoiding important conversations about race at a critical time. Paula Lewis chairs the Oklahoma City school board, which condemned the state's new law. It puts fear in our teachers that what if they say the wrong thing? What if somebody in their class during the critical thinking brings up the Word of pressure, oppression or sistema Grace is, um, and are they in danger is their job in danger, she says. Conversations about racism in our past and present can be uncomfortable, especially for white people, but that's okay. It's not my son's fault. It's not my fault. What happened 210 years ago, but it is my responsibility to help us. Look at that. Learned from that and really try to acknowledge in a tone, she says. Many Oklahoma teachers are eager to bring those principles into their lessons on this year's 100th anniversary of the race massacre in Tulsa, when hundreds of the city's black residents were killed by white mobs. Now she has doubts about how effective those lessons congee. They're similar concerns in other states. In Texas House Bill 39. 79 would also ban lessons that cause students to feel discomfort, guilt or distress on account of their race or sex, And it would ban mandatory diversity trainings at public schools and colleges. The bill's author, Republican Steve Toth, has railed against critical race theory is unpatriotic. Fighter. Robertson directs the center for Critical Race Studies at the University of Houston. Downtown House Bill 30 died 79 is a is a coordinated attempt by Republicans to stifle a widespread and overwhelming demand for racial equality and social justice By mischaracterizing critical race theory as some you know, important Plot to undermine America, he says. If this bill was signed into law, parents, who are also uncomfortable with the nation's current racial reckoning will have a tool to go after teachers. Meghan Doherty helps social studies, teachers and round rock, Texas developed lesson plans, she said. Recently, a teacher she works with was presenting a virtual lesson about the effects of race and prejudice in American society. A father at home overheard part of the lesson. Then he wrote an email to Theon ministrations, complaining that the teacher was accusing his child of being a racist. When they were having a conversation about implicit bias and what implicit bias is and how it affects us, she says. It feels like the thought Police are descending on Texas Already. I have teachers that I talked to that are afraid to speak out on issues because they feel like they're going to get repercussions from their district's Whole climate is a high school history teacher in round rock. What should he make? He asks of the part of the Texas bill that would require him to teach ugly chapters in history by exploring all sides without giving any one side difference. What about the Holocaust? He asks, or the civil rights movement or Indian removal? Does the state of Texas want me to stand up and spend class time saying Well, let's look at all sides of this topic. I don't think that's what the state of Texas wants. But you know, that's what this bill does, He says he'll be forced if this bill becomes law to choose between his professional obligation to his students and breaking the law. Adrian Florido NPR news Simone Biles, already the most decorated Jim Nist in history has surpassed expectations again. On Saturday, she performed a move considered so dangerous that no other woman has ever attempted it in competition. Yurchenko double Pike Vault. Christine Brennan is a sports journalist with U S A. Today She tells us that to do this vault, Biles had to launch yourself into a round off back Handspring onto the vaulting table. And that propelled her body into the air high enough to give herself time to flip twice in a pike position, which means your body is kind of folded into itself. The lights are out strength and then land on her feet. She had so much power to actually step back. But the judges didn't reflect the crowd's enthusiasm in points they gave Miles a 6.6 controversially low score, which files called unfair for a vault. This difficult, Brennan says, Part of the reason for that might be because judges don't want to encourage Jim NIST to try this dangerous vault. The gymnastics leaders I haven't seen this from a woman and so they're actually downgrading it compared to what they should be doing, and with Simone Biles is doing at this point in her career is really rewriting the record book. Simone Biles is now 24 years old, Brennan says. That's retirement age for many professional gymnasts. Instead, Miles is still vaulting past her own achievements and doing things no one's ever done before. It's double. He went my seat. You're listening to all things considered. The Yurchenko double pike, Gravity seems to have been taken by surprise. They claim that right? OK, see springs way up in the air hands, standard cartwheel or something. And we all say, yeah, it's pretty good. It is remarkable if you see like what the gold winning Gold medal winning vault was from like the twenties. And compared with whatever since a guy leaves do is stick. It just jumps over. It is essentially doing what I do What I what I did over like fences that went up to your waist when I was in junior high, or you just got to put your hands on it and hop over. We've We've asked the question. What's the Olympic event that you would be the least humiliated him? And it would probably be like 100 yard Dash because I'd lose 25 30 yards. That's how we ended up with me Running the 100 yard 100 M. Yeah, because I could do that I would lose by a lot, but I could do it well, and a lot is like from here to you know that wall over there 100 yard Dash. But the event that you'd most likely to be killed. It's got to be the vaulting right? Quality ski jumping holds ski jumping is the last thing zero by far pulls one's I would be terrified to try. I don't think I'd get eight ft off the ground, But I'm not gonna die. I'm gonna die trying to ski Joe. I think I could something men's downhill. I'm not even sure I could just Like hang onto the snow and slide down on my butt without dying. It's a wedge it down down the hallway. Do the little pizza slice with your skis, and you're good enough to do that, because it's deep. I might have to have this is Steve. Let's scoot down on my butt for a little bit. You would plunge down on your butt than your head than your but then your head, Then your button. What used to be your head? I firmly believe I could substitute in day of for any Olympic caliber curler and maybe lose 10% of what they would get. I wonder about that myself. You know the rifle stuff. Okay, anyway, moving one eyes. There's something we can tease of of notes before I get into this, Um, we probably should talk more about the Biden agenda slowing down. That's the Yeah. Front Page USA Today. Biden's road turns Rocky, your new obstacles pop up in his 2nd 100 days. Yeah, the whole turning America into France thing is hit the brakes. I mean, I wouldn't go to avert my gaze yet, but it's definitely slowed down. And let's see. Oh, segregated spaces now accepted in America's public schools. Segregation is back, baby Brown versus education. Be damned Stay with us. So I talked about this on Friday. And the reason I bring it up is it's going to come up in conversation because I talk about my personal life. A fair amount on this here radio show and it won't make any sense. If I if I don't mention this first. I'm getting a divorce. I'm very unhappy about this, and I have to be careful talking about it or I will start crying and nobody wants to listen to that. I also have to be careful talking about it in that, while I am willing to share every aspect of my personal life with anybody any stranger I meet For whatever reason, it's just the way I'm built on good. Be happy to talk about anything going on in my life. People who are in relationships with me whether it's my wife or my kids did not sign up for that. So I, you know I keep that in mind at all times, but I am going through divorce and it has been Very, very long couple of weeks. Just read it Got one of the reasons I brought this up is we gotta go zillion text like I don't remember the last time I got this many long texts from people and I'll just piles of emails as well. By the way, just listened to our four from the podcast the other day, And like other listeners, I was stopped in my tracks and Jack's book. Jack spoke about his situation. I feel terribly for you in the family. Hang in there, Jack, wishing the best for you Somehow. My more sad that one about this than when I found out my close friend and his wife were splitting goes to show how terrific your show is and how personable the whole crew eyes so appreciate that about this radio show and everybody on it. Also this one Jack. I think we all knew when you told the story about eating the pie in the car that something horrible had happened in your life. Bunch of people. Picked up on that. So a week or so ago, I told about sitting in my truck and eating half of Ah Hi from the grocery store or the or its Costco, Aida, half a Costco pie sitting in my truck and a bunch of people picked up on what was going on there. I thought that's really interesting. Yeah, I wouldn't have picked up on that. I don't think I'm so sorry here about praying for you and the whole family. On that a bunch of nice stuff after that, But people who who grasp eating a pie in your truck, something has come off the rails. Yeah, it has a certain feel to it, I think has the vibe of not just a guy who's hungry for pie, right? Yeah. I thought this was interesting, Jack. Five years ago, my hubby and I started seeing this guy to help us guide our kids through our divorce. I didn't know there were people did that. We were more than done with our marriage beyond repair. No one could've predicted how he cut to the core problem of our marriage. It was incredibly difficult and painful, but he miraculously saved our marriage, even though we didn't want to want to, or expected that. We've never felt so close and connected in our beautiful family is intact and they're so happy to be healed. Holy cow! It's really interesting. I don't know what It is not going to happen. In my case. I didn't mention it for that reason, but I just I didn't know there were people like that that exist in taking on that. I'm trying to cut to the core of your problems and fix it. Well, yeah, There are quite a few counselors in the world who are crackpots. In my opinion. She proved a hot Yeah, it sounds like that. Maybe a really gifted one. But so, uh I'm working up to something that I think will be interesting. Everybody. This has been by far the most painful thing I've ever dealt with for the last several weeks. Don't know if it's because of what the emphasis I put on family. I wanted my kids to grow up the way I grew up in. They're not going to and that is his heartbreaking to me as anything possibly could be. I've had people say all you went through cancer. That's a bigger deal than this. Maybe it is for you. It isn't for me. It's not even close. When I found out I had cancer and going through that This isn't even that wasn't even 10th of the direction of the pain of this for me, So, but I have gotten a gazillion text from people talking about. Oh, yeah, It is like you've had an arm cut off. Or several deaths in your family or whatever. So you know, For some people, it is The big deal, but I've had. It's amazing to me how many times this has come up. So you remember a couple of weeks ago when I brought you the information, maybe you're smart, and you already knew it. I didn't know it when I brought you all the information that the famous Robert Frost poem The road not taken is the opposite of the way. It's used all the time. There have been thousands. This is documented thousands of graduation speeches in which they quote the road not taken and say, and I took the path less traveled and has made all the difference. The point of the poem is It doesn't make any difference with packet take, but everybody takes it is I did the bold, courageous thing and that's how I was successful. Yeah, And so it's the exact opposite. I felt the same way when I found out this so many people in the last couple of weeks. Have brought up the stages of grief You've heard before. Also that up a divorce has all the characteristics of a death and I put You know, I've never met with any death. That's even close to this either. Maybe someday I will. I hope I don't but the stages of grief. In fact, 2019 was the 50th anniversary of the famous book on Death and Dying. That featured the Kubler Ross model for the five stages of grief. That book has been around for 50 years. It has been translated into 41 languages is sold eight Quinn trillion copies, and people still reference the stages of grief. All the time. Like I said, I've had it reference to me. I don't know how many times in the last several weeks, and if you do any research on it whatsoever, the five stages of grief postulates that those experiencing grief go through a series of five emotions, denial,.

Did you watch 10 or 20 hours of it? How much NFL draft? Did y'all get in on my watch The clips online? Yeah, I missed it completely. I did not watch a lot, although I heard about it. From from different people, because certain players and certain teams, you know, did certain things that they wanted to tell me about Some. I heard some people did some things. That's what according to the news, you know you can't believe this kind of stuff anymore because they try toe, you know, manipulate you. But But according to the news source, I'm looking at here. You say that this past weekend's NFL draft was the second most watched NFL draft of all time You believe that and it beat out the Oscars. I do believe that point. I believe that not be comparing yourself to the Oscars because they have Like 16 people, I think watching the Oscars all the way through. Nobody watched the eyes of the second most watched draft of NFL about No, No, this is the NFL trying to get back. Some of that long story is trying to get people back after the Cabinet kneeling and after all, the other nonsense has been going on for the past 45 years in the NFL, and they have noticed they've lost over half Of their audience and the NFL said, You know, we can't keep making millionaires at all These players. You know, there's like 50 dudes on the team. Each one of them wanna make many, many millions of dollars each and these billionaires who have to write those checks. They're supposed to have some money coming in. Before they put all that money going out. Billionaires ain't stupid, especially when it comes to money. They'd like more in than out. That's the idea and this incoming Has dropped way off. So this is just part of the NFL plan to make sure you know that you best all watching again because you're gonna be missing so much, All right, so Tim Tebow worked out for the Jags as a tight end. Is he on the team now? Not yet. No. But yeah, Friday we talked about Tebow won't to be going over there and playing tight, not quarterback tidy, and they say he's training with him. Then he's 30 something years old now, but he stayed in good shape, You know, by playing You know, Minor league baseball. Oh, yeah. That'll keep you in the shadow. Do it. Yeah, absolutely. Until somebody hits him with one of them, Defensive back lights him up going across the middle. That's all she wrote for Tim Tebow. Y'all. Ah, well, Tim TV better pray for him. Well, if you pray for himself, he pressed for himself. Yeah. What if he takes the wrong it takes a knee but in the wrong way? Oh, they won't allow that There would be an interesting plot twist if a player is on the sideline taking in me. Do you have the right to ask him why he took of me? Are you sir? You taking that need for God or for BLM, depending on his answers, whether he gets to keep his job or not. That's the wrong answer. God get this guy out of here. Well, they'll probably come up with some rules. If you take the right knee, then just for black lives matter. Yeah, If you take the left knee, you gotta go. We'll remember what Tommy Tuberville's told. Told all the NFL rookies last week, he said, Avoid talking about politics. And, amazingly, just by telling NFL rookies that his advice is to avoid talking about politics that has really upset people really dead. People are really mad. A former Auburn coach, current U. S Center Tommy Tuberville. I said he said, Yeah. How dare you tell them that they can't get political? Yeah. Yeah, they could get political but ruin your career. You couldn't ruin America's favorite sport. If you would like. Well, look, if if you get real political, you're less likely to get an endorsement. Go ahead, get political if you want, you know it did work out for about Kaepernick. Dude got like a million dollars from Nike and then people stopped by and nineties And then Nike didn't like They didn't care for that too much. So they stop mentioning it. Well, no, But there's still political. Aren't they still political? But they just don't tell everybody they wanna whisper it in the year. Two right people Simone Biles that Jim Nist from Houston recently left Nike. Oh, she did. She's not with him anymore. She went to go start in athletic apparel company for win. And s. And then they kind of want some. But don't get him but still want you to think that they don't have them. All right. Well speaking out, it's that confusion. You know, I don't get it either. Then, of all people, it was pointed out to us over the weekend. Yes, sir. That Bruce Jenner, who's pretending to be a woman now Says he doesn't think that men who are pretending to be women. Should be competing against women. Yeah, Caitlyn Jenner is now being attacked for saying that maybe it's not fair. Uh, hey, look, one of our favorites over at the blast, Rebecca Cukier. Has given us this headline. First of all, It's about Nastia Liukin Lucan, which most people are like. On a day to day basis or like I don't know what a nasty looking is. I don't think I knew what Nazi Lucan was, until until the black until the blast. She's a Jim Nist and she's a former Olympic my gap, though I know that for free Also, she's got a bear. But here we go ready. Here's the headline from the blast. Gymnast Nastia Liukin has no limits with buttocks bare. And that's B A R E. Oh, so here's my first question is like who teaches them how to write headlines. Has nine times out of 10. Don't make no sense. She has no limits with a bear. But well, I mean, who does Jim Nist not steal. Luca very has no limits with buttocks there. In here we go with the whole of the article about it is about how she bared her buttocks with zero limits, folding her gold medal legs. He breathing, please the 31, year old five time Olympic medalist, fresh from shutting down a troll over her quote, Gross skinny chicken legs. Proof. There isn't a gross thing about her on Wednesday, updating for her one million instagram followers in a job dropping stool. Snap. What? Hey, What's a golden Arches Street. Now you've learned the thing about the thing about the blast is that each article sends you down a different sewed. My question is, is Nastya Luke and paying for all of these stories, because literally There are so many more Nastia Liukin goes. No pants gets huge love. Nazi Lucan has no limits with bare buttocks now see look, influence her golden arches. Pantsless Nastia Liukin proves juice works wonders with leggy sunbathe. Why? You know, I will say nasty Lukins. Um Instagram is clearly a Oh, Um, sorry. I just saw another headline about another Jim Nist that stopped me. Dead in my tracks was a gymnast. Aly Raisman goes Certain kind of style. It involves a pet that your fund of, uh oh, it's best friend leg lift. You guys. I don't know what I'm saying. Either. She also gets handsy with the late night belly rub. So she also get goes dog. But there is a picture of her, like kicking her leg up in the air. I mean, they managed to comb. This is what they do with the blast. This is all they do. They come through celebrities, and it's just a certain handful of celebrities Instagrams and then come up with disgusting. Titillating headlines based on what happens in their instagram, speaking of I'm going to try to find this right now because there was a story and I'll just can we just stay on this topic catch isn't mine. It's like who cares? Have anything else to do? Um, there was one. I saw the other day that I was like this has to be called out and hopefully it'll come up on their search function. Okay? Uh, In the meantime, in between time I do want you to know. One of the things I've noticed about. The blast is that they really are they like to follow Jim nous like McKayla, Maroney. There's this headline gymnast McKayla, Maroney bends over and unbuttoned pajamas for morning coffee. So now, you know Jim, this alley race mint unzipped in Daddy's jacket. I'm telling you here, Okay, here it was from the 17th. Ariel Winter flaunts her massive Yoda's in Unzipped one z. What? So is that what we're calling him these? You know, it's like Yoda. Oh, she's got some massive Yoda's well. It's a onesie that has Yoda on it like a bunch of Yoda's, but they're not massive. But there is like a Cleveland shot. So you do get to see cleavage. So again, I think, um My God. Sofia Vergara perfects her pancakes with strappy brought this energy. Commander. This'd is just like how can you make the most mundane things sound like Cornel? I e think we need to be very concerned about Kylie Jenner, based off of the lead headline on the main page. Kylie Jenner explodes not away. Out of skin tight dress braless on tropical vacation. My gosh, again. You guys also celebrates Biden and Harris by letting Tata's breathe. I want what I want you to scroll down to the Iggy Azalea headline. All right. Where is this party? I gotta scroll. It's an honor and a privilege and I'm proud to be here. I'm general aromas from Las Vegas and I'm here to talk to you and it's It's great to be here. I actually started the company back in 2013. When I thought my dancing days Azad performer were finished. I was actually dropped in the show on my kneecaps were shattered and I needed to start doing other sorts of business to have income because I was unable to perform myself at the time. So I started my company called Jr Enterprises in which I was looking Go, go party pits Here. Go go Dancers, one off choreography, events, as well as some of the nightclub industry things here in Las Vegas, and that's kind of when the choreography and things kind of took over as a business versus just me being a performer myself. But if you look at the That and I do that. And you do that do that, But I can't. I want a Cadillac. Now for 2021. I'd like to have this for some home home, gym and love to have a personal Um, you know, lesson just to go through all of this. I am not putting another piece of furniture in my house. I know. I'm talking about the office. I just moved all them office equipment over. You saw my new office. Yeah, when she walks in between our offices If one's gonna be on their head stretching or in the other one's gonna be on my roller pin. You know, I love but it is a different piece of equipment. You're not building and picking up a way. You're kind of laying down and getting connected and looking like it looks like you're Adding strength with some flexibility you're adding on that piece of equipment, you will lay sit and stand and you will actually hang upside down. So we have units hang. That's what Eunice was doing right was hanging with her hands and her feet. But we also will do like full walkovers. Think of a Jim NIST doing a walk over on the floor and you're going to do a walk over on that. Okay, So what is it? It can be a rehab, but it can also be amused for sports, You know, and increasing sports ability and stuff like that, So it just kind of depends on what you need and no impact or low impact. It would be no impact. There is one piece of equipment that has low impact, but it's anybody could do it. I have a 90 year old client. And it's the impact to slow enough that even he could do it. And impact is good for the body. If you have a condition like osteo process, you need impact. You don't avoid it. We don't want to fall. But you need need impact to re calcify those books. That's that's well and what you're doing when I'm going through the training and everything with you. It programs your brain to think, right. I mean, you are your body's working together. And here you go again. I love college football and those air young kids out there playing And I'm going. Yeah, but they've worked all week long, really much longer than that. Just hop on the field and toss the ball around and run. They do this every day. So if we and in the aging population would identify, Okay, I'm going to take a day running to take 2 30 minute sessions and just start getting something that really makes a difference. I mean, don't do this and then go have a piece of chocolate pie afterwards. Uh, bodies Wild Pallotti's. It's a mind body movement. So when I work with people I am constantly asking them to do things. Okay, so I want them to connect to the muscle and then the muscle will cut the will fire more effectively for them. So they're often overwhelmed because I'm telling them when to breathe and when to do this and when to do that, and they're just like So this is also you know, teaching your body and you're a new balance with with the new structure of how our bodies moved, appropriate exception and we'll talk about that whenever when we come back from break right? You are listening to well preserved. This is news radio 1080. Okay, wild 2020. Through many of our resolutions for a loop, at least were some aren't ready for 2021. "Hi, Lib. You're right. Brooks intimidated by another female presence, So don't don't let it get you down way. Just have like the cutest reason for calling you. I think we do. Okay, Um what what's going on? So we're doing something called a second date update. That's where if you go out with someone, and afterwards if they're not getting in touch with you, you can reach out to our show, and we'll call them to try and figure out the reason why. Wow. Okay. Um, s o. Somebody reached out to us about you. His name's David. Wait. So he reached out to you guys? Yeah, he emailed our show because He told us the whole story about how you guys reconnected on Facebook, and then you guys went out together. You went to a bar and hadn't seen each other and something like 12 years. We We really did have a good time. It was It was a lovely nice. Yeah, lovely. I mean, I'm sure looking at the yearbook brought back a lot of great memories. Was there anything that you saw in there that like stood out to you? Did he bring that up to you guys? I mean, maybe I was there like anything about the yearbook that stood out to you. Well, I saw all of these pictures of an old crush of mine. One of the male gymnasts on my team. E was kind of looking at those pictures a little bit. And I hope you didn't notice. But wait when you're looking here. Gymnastic pictures. You weren't looking at you like you're funny outfits. You're looking at some dude that you liked so funny. But But, yes. I mean, there's this really, really sweet guy on the team. And, you know, he was like our star was pretty boy. Jim Nous always get all the girls back in high school. But, you know, David didn't mention anything about your Jim Nist crush. But he is interested in hanging out with you again. Is that something that you would be open to I mean, I don't know you guys. I think I might made the space. I think before I see him again. Oh, man. Why? Why do you need space? Well, even though it was great seeing and Superfund reconnecting, um over the last three days, he has the end Name. Over 100 times. What? Oh, in three days. Oh, yeah. It was like a new message every hour. David did not mention that to us. And we also forgot to tell you that he's been on the other line listening on wants to talk to you. So I guess we're both made up sees over the last few days. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. I think it's serious. Yeah, it's okay. He needs to hear this. David. You there? Yeah. Lib. Mm hmm. Hi, David. David Ah, 100 DM stood in three days. You're supposed to slide in her DM not surge into it. Wow. It was not 100 messages. It was maybe, like 80, maybe 90, but I mean, a lot of them were just pictures. They were scanned pictures from high school so I'm sending, like 20 pictures that is counting his 20 messages. That's not fair. Okay, It's just been really overwhelming. I mean, it's so fun to go down memory lane and to be nostalgic. I really did have a great time in you again. Just like you. I mean, I felt the same way. And I mean, I know you're saying that. I mean, you obviously, David, your message is loud and clear, bro. Well, I mean, okay, The truth is and like live you can you can attach to this like we made a pact. I mean, we did. We said if we were 30 Mary that we would.

"There. No kids coming and thank you for that. So I'm gonna do this story and I know what my initial reaction was. But my initial and reaction was wrong. It makes me a bad person. But you realize that which makes you a good person. Which makes this feature self serving, Which makes you a bad person, you whole double triple reverse switch room. And it gets to what jokes. We shouldn't make any more. Knock, knock, knock. Knock jokes should be banned. My son set up a joke shop. It is his room all the time. He's got a little desk in a jar to put money and stuff like that, and he's always wanted people to come by the joke shop. I would absolutely pay for a joke from your head. Oh, my God, That's great. Anyway, this joke we shouldn't make any more. But I was happy when I heard this And it makes me a bad person. Larry Nassar, do you remember him? The doctor for all the Jim Nist, So Yeah, yo, might sag terrible victimizer rapist? He was attacked in prison the other day, according to his lawyer. Within hours of being released into the general population, he was attacked and there's some sexual components to and that gets to the jokes. We probably shouldn't make any more. Well. My initial reaction was good. I hate him. He's a scumbag. Whatever happens to him he has coming. Then I thought about this article or in the New York Times it actually had believed him the lawyer tweeted out about Should we continue to make jokes about prison? Rape? That's a common joke. Old. Don't drop the soap. Whatever that's about that that the the idea being that You know? Extra legal punishment beyond what we've all agreed to in the legislative process is perfectly okay with us Vigilante violence in prison is just what you have coming if you go to prison. And I don't agree with that. Well, I don't want to steal your thunder. But The New York Times had a video feature of with a gent who had passed some bad checks and ended up in prison. That's a bad thing. You ought to be punished for that. But he was not a terribly big nor tough guy, and he was raped, systematically and repeatedly and any time you resist that he was beaten brutally. So are we okay with the sexual torture? Of American citizens because they did something wrong in the government. How about even for people who are really bad guys? This letter like this, Larry Nassar, we had we We came up with what the penalty is for his crime. I'm less concerned about him than I am about, but But just in general, my biggest fear about what we're going to prison. You know, it's pretty unlikely. I have a plan. But go ahead. Especially this point in my life. But you shouldn't have to navigate the waters off sexual deviants or or racial gangs. You shouldn't even have to worry about that. Whatever crime I committed, I got sentenced. And now I'm gonna be in jail and then you know, I'm denied my freedom. That's the punishment. But I shouldn't have to figure out how to side with a with a white supremacist gang, so I don't get killed by this Hispanics. Or end up, you know, being sexed up all the time. If I'm not tough enough to fight him off, that shouldn't be part of the prison experience. You shouldn't have to worry about that at all. All the racial stuff. Good luck. You know, there's a hell of a lot of gangbangers in prison, and you don't see a lot of like Benetton ad style gangs with people from it's not like the Jets and the what do you call? It's from West Side story. The Sharks sharks exactly thinking when you're a jet, you're a gentle the way that's a good point. So anyway. Yeah, that's never gonna end. I mean, they might diminish the power of again have to worry about that in prison that you're right. But And you sure certainly shouldn't get raped because you were whatever crime you committed. Right? Passing bad checks. You got caught up in the drug thing and sold somebody Some methods that are, um yeah, You know, I Why is it funny to make those jokes? I really dislike political correctness, which could really honestly be defined as Um Somebody else's definition of rude, which I find too picky. There is some of that stuff going around. That's just an absurdity. You social justice warriors are hilarious. On the other hand, this one I was I could not come up with a very good counter argument. I know a lot of you are going to email us harsh FM. They deserve what they get Blob of followed the law. You don't have to worry about Obama. But that's not a counter argument. I certainly would never consider myself politically correct. But I'm not going to call certain T shirts a wife beater anymore. Once it was pointed out to me that that's it's important. That one doesn't bother me. As much as it seems to you, Joe Getty is pro what we's hauling certain governments. It's like like the guy in the article said. There's not a jacket you call the pet molester. Because I haven't finished designing it yet. Made of fur up. Okay, Well, let's not get distracted. The wife beater thing to me. That's a comment on the sort of guy who walks around wearing one. And to me. It's a condemnation of But I think too much So, yeah, I think most people use it casually. So I'll be quiet now, but back to the prison right thing. It is a widely made joke. Yeah, It's very common, Is it? People joking about what they fear, which is a huge part of what humor is her. It's a way it's like the same reason young people really love horror movies they get to confront what they fear in a safe environment that's often with humor does on guy don't want to outlaw it's or you know this because that that's one of the utopian Social justice warrior things that I think is incredibly unhealthy. You know, when I was a youngster Oh, you know, Quick aside when I was a year old off, Gladys, Gladys was about to play the heart and you gave her the old head fake. Lovely. She's her reflexes yourself. You know,.
