"Susano they're so good and then I'll offensively, I mean, the three ball was working the depth from bernay and laugh and just a special special win. Yeah, they held Caitlin Clark to just 18 points in the game after she dropped 42 on him in the first meeting. Brene Alexander led all scores in the game off the bench with 24 knocked down 6 of 9 from three point range and lavender Briggs 19 points she made all three of her three point attempts on a night in which the term shot 14 of 26 from long range and you can thank that second quarter for that. The turps made 7 of ten from three point range. They outscored Iowa 27 to 8 in that quarter. It's the first time in program history they've notched four wins over top ten ranked teams in a season. No such luck for the capitals. They're losing skid now to 5 games they took a three one beating from the Detroit red wings on home ice it pulls them even now with Washington and the standings at 62 points. So they capital has got to stop the bleeding at some point. Our back home on Thursday night. Back to basketball, VCU pulled away for a 88 63 win over saint Joe's. That's three in a row for them and Virginia tech falls to Jim Lara's Miami hurricane 76 70 NFL franchise tags. They can be applied starting today, pro football talk, reporting the commanders are virtually certain to tag daron Payne. It would cost them 18.9 million against the cap in the 2023 season, but if they reach a long-term deal before that, they could probably get a better cap number, but they have until July 15th to try and make that happen. "And 45 powered by maximus. Moving people and technology forward. It's 8 45. Here's rob wood fork. All right, we start with the capitals, and every time they get close to putting this one away, the blue jackets come right back. The capsule three two in Columbus. They're coming up on second intermission in a game in which Trevor vans van reims dike scored two goals for the capitals the last two goals. And then the blue jackets immediately score right after them. So every time he puts them up by two scores, they are right there, garnet Hathaway broke the scoring seal early in the first period. But we've got a pretty good one here between the capitals and the blue jackets and we've got a good one coming up in college park just a few minutes from tip off between Maryland and 21st ranked Indiana, the terps looking for a third straight victory and coach Kevin Willard says the change in fortunes for Maryland is embracing the challenge in the aptly named Big Ten. I think the size, the overall size. I think it took some of these guys a little bit of time to get used to. And I think they've kind of adjusted to the physicality. I think they've adjusted to the size. And I think they've gotten much more comfortable and more relaxed, and I think that's really helped. Well, let's see if two other games of local interests are getting comfortable and relaxed right now. The Virginia tech hokies are at Jim Lara nega's Miami hurricanes. They are now trailing 76 74 and what's been a pretty close game throughout. And VCU on the road against Davidson in a close one as well, down 57 56 a little under four minutes left to go and regulation. Two NFL head coaching spots field today in Houston, D'amico Ryan's gets what he's describing as his dream job as head coach of a Texans team. He once upon a time was a two time Pro Bowl player for Ryan's reportedly getting a 6 year deal, notable because Houston has infamously fired their last two coaches after only one season, in Denver, the Broncos finalizing what's basically a trade for Sean Payton because he's still under contract with the New Orleans Saints, so a reported first round pick this year, a second round pick next year, headed to the Crescent city and Peyton reportedly getting the salary that will make him one of the highest paid coaches in the league. Call me crazy Dimitri. I don't think he's worth all that. I'm going to ask you what you think of both of these decisions. I've seemed to be a little less excited about Peyton. I like D'amico Ryan's as a coaching prospect. I don't like him in Houston because of what they've done in recent years. He could be gone in one year, but he could be gone before one year. That goes badly. And then in Denver, look, Sean Payton, really good coach, but you only got one Super Bowl out of Drew Brees. So I kind of wonder, I kind of wonder about him. Well, and he was a little bit milk toast on the Fox broadcast too. Not terrible by any stretch. Well, he's definitely a better coach than he has broadcast. We're definitely in agreement on that. "He have a national championship already? Like all of that stuff is probably in play. As we've talked about before, you even go look at that last team you had in Indiana, that was a legitimate national championship contender. And then Dan dockets took it over and ran it straight into the ground, like immediately just torpedoed it. It's unbelievable how he took a great thing and just made it awful. But like, you know, there's other examples of that in his own life, I think. So, but Calvin could have won a title that year. And if not that year, then in the subsequent years. But either way, after being forced out of Indiana, taking a total rebuilding situation at Houston and missing several years of being a division woman in the basketball coach, he's still at 700 career victories. And I think arguably, if not undeniably, has his best chance ever right now to actually win a national championship. As of yesterday morning, North Carolina and Gonzaga, according to Caesar sports book. I mean, North Carolina, Kentucky rather. According to Cedar sports book, had the best odds to win the national championship, but Houston was third. And obviously, if you watch the season opener, it was against an outclassed opponent, but they just overwhelmed them. And it was nice to see Kelvin get that 700th win and he'll go for 7 O one on Friday night at the U.S. naval academy in the veterans class. Trivia time. Okay, let's go. I got two of them. All right. There's gonna be one other coach that gets to 700 this season. Do you know who it is? Jim Lara. Bada Bing. I don't know it 'cause I just was looking at it last night. All right, Jim learning is sitting at 6 97. Let me bring up the Miami schedule real quick for you right here. So 6 97 for coach L as they call him, Coachella got a win, got a dub against Lafayette. No, not a lot of drama there. So you want to see Greensboro, 6 98, Florida a and M, 6 99, and then oh, right up here in my state of Connecticut. When number 700 could come, maybe, against Providence at mohegan sun, next Saturday. Okay, so you got another trippy time. Yeah, yeah, partly. I wondered if you researched this. But Asuka, anyway, and plus it's something for listeners to learn. All right, how many active coaches have 700 or more wins in men's D one? I was going to ask you this and then I was like, I don't feel like looking it up. So I just were on the same I wondered if you might look it up as well. It's like if he tries to trivia time me with this, I'm not going to even obviously bob huggins. Yes, John Kelly. 41 at the D level for bio huggins. Yeah, John calipari, caliper. Yes, he's at 7 68. Some of these are NAA vacated adjusted beats. How about this on Jim behaim? Jim behaim obviously has the most of any active coach. Beheim just got beheim was on the sideline for his 1100th victory. Okay, I'll phrase it that way. Beheim was on the sideline for his 1100th victory on opening night against Lehigh. But because a 101 wins have been taken away from him, he's now sitting at 999 in the eyes of the NCAA, meaning if Syracuse beats Colgate in its next game, that won't be an easy one. Colgate's good. But if Syracuse beats Colgate in its next game, Jim behaim will make history, he'll become the first coach to everyone a thousand games twice. It's ridiculous. It is ridiculous. Chimpanzee has overseen 1100 wins at Syracuse. That's the number that I choose to recognize the NCA technically has him sitting at 9 9 9. He will, when his career ends, most likely surpass Mike's key for having the most overseeing the most victories in the history of one. So how many have we named now? You have named huggin? The question is how many there are. Huggins. Obviously Samson's baked in behaim calipari. I think you got those four. So we need more, but I don't want to tell you how many more, because I need to know. I'm just going to try to talk through it. Bill self was there, I think. 7 63. That's 5. Is Rick Barnes there already? That's right. 7 54. That's 6. You might have, you might have mentioned another coach I just don't remember if you mentioned it or not. I think you did. Did you mention patino? No, but he was in my head. Obviously, obviously. We could be done at 7 or there could be more. You think through it. Those are the only ones that pop into my head. Who am I missing? How many am I missing? You were missing two. There are 9 active division one men's basketball coaches with at least 700 wins. I feel like we talked about this at one point and surprisingly, at least surprisingly to me, Dana Altman's name came up. Not a Bing. Dana Altman is lowest on the list. Well, now Kelvin's technically lowest. Dan Altman's at 7 ten. The last one's tough. A coat of a power conference program currently. But then doing this at the D one level since 1975.

Jim behaim Dan dockets Jim Lara Indiana North Carolina Houston bio huggins Bada Bing Syracuse U.S. naval academy Gonzaga beheim Beheim Calvin Kelvin Colgate mohegan sun basketball bob huggins Asuka

"To national championship, patino J Wright. Joining that club, 2020. They probably had a legit shot at winning it there. Where is Bill is Bill self? The guy that's the next, again, we always talk about coach Kate. We think about Bill south. We think about who's the leadership of college basketball moving forward now with coach K retiring. He is retiring, isn't he? Yeah. But if he does come back, I want him to come back on a really important day for Tom Brady since Brady announced his comeback on selection Sunday. I want coach Kay to target like some big deal for Brady and football and get a little payback there. But that's a good question, Seth. Who's the next, you know, who's the next group of coaches, and Bill is probably 59, I'd say, is a year older than I am. So, you know, he's probably got another ten years. I would say in them. Conservatively, maybe longer, maybe shorter given how much money these guys make now. But my sense is, and Jay writes 60, you know, my sense is that those guys are already so established. They're already in the basketball Naismith basketball Hall of Fame, that the other guys, you know, like Mark few and some of these younger guys are heck Mark views about that age too. So maybe I should move to even younger guys. But we need to probably start identifying some of the younger guys that are out there because they're the ones that are really going to have to pick up the baton and run with it for the next 15, 20 years. It's interesting that we've had these icons for so long that a lot of the quote unquote younger coaches like Hubert Davis is considered a younger coach. He's 50. He's 50. Got his first head coaching job at over 50. So it's different now. It's a lot harder for a John Shire to exist in today's world, getting a big time job at 34 than it was 30, 40 years ago. I think of this the recent national champions, you think of Tony Bennett. I'm not sure that's from a win standpoint and from a production standpoint. Yes, I'm not sure that given his personality. I don't know if he has that kind of animated personality to become that guy, but definitely from a program standpoint. You know, I think if a guy like Scott drew, obviously we just won a national championship last year. He has the personality to kind of go along with it, but I do think the next two or three years is going to determine who emerges as that next iconic and this funny day that you mentioned the ages because both of those two guys are early 50s as well. So it's going to be interesting to see you kind of steps into that. I can't answer that question either. I just think it's going to take a few years for us to be able to determine who that person is going to be. And let me throw this at his last thing. Yeah, look, we're going to have a change here in the car in the ACC. I was the coach K Roy Williams, eventually it's going to be Leonard Hamilton, eventually it's going to be Jim behaim. Eventually, it's going to be Jim Lara hold.

"I don't think there was a single day where anybody stood up and said, you know what? I think Kansas is the best team in the country. People said it about Gonzaga, people said it about duke, people said it about Baylor, people said it about auburn. People started to say it about Kentucky, which won by a million at Alan fieldhouse. I don't think there was ever a day where somebody stood up and said, I think Kansas is actually the best team in the country. And yet, now here we are. And Kansas is the only number one seed. Left in the NCAA tournament. Kansas is the highest rated team at Ken pom left in the NCAA tournament. And I haven't seen the updated odds, but based on everything I just told you, I would assume that Kansas is the favorite to win the 2022 NCAA tournament, but you're shaking your head now. First of all, Cinderella jayhawks. Is that where you're going with this? Cinderella jayhawks? The Cinderella jayhawks. Now, I don't know if I think it's still going to be duke. It was duke going into Sunday. I would think that it will but you could be right. What's Ken pom right now? Right now, Kansas had a duke. You might be right. I kind of feel like, hey, let's make this a rule. You can't correct me unless you know I'm wrong. Well, no. That actually is more fun if I try and correct you. And then I am wrong anyway. That's more entertaining. Do you have the number? I'm trying to look it up now. I feel like because it's duke, it's going to be. Maybe they'll be co. Maybe they'll have the same number. Although, yeah. Caroline, I just finished recently. You might not have it. I'll say it's duke. That's my guess. I'll say it's Kansas. It's because Kansas is going to play a Villanova team in the final four that is shorthanded and Kansas is ranked highest among the final four teams at Ken Palmer. If you're curious right now, it's number four Kansas number 8 duke number 9 Villanova number 16 North Carolina. Put up the poll. I want to see what the in the YouTube chat. Who should be. Now who do you think? Who should? Because you're right, it will be a shorthand of Villanova team, but Villanova was also a higher seated and higher in the metrics in North Carolina. So I don't know. I don't know. Should it be? Should it be duke or should it be Kansas either way? Let me stop it. Here's what I would say. I think it will be Kansas. I think it should be duke. Okay. I think it should be duke. I think it will be duke. Why do I care at this point? But yeah, KU moves along. Great job by Bill self, you mentioned he's at his fourth final four overall. Kansas now has made 16 final fours. I'll have some factoids on all the final 14 films. We actually set the table on that. But great one by Miami and Jim Lara, getting to that program's first elite 8 ever and Lara, you know, making it to the second weekend for the fourth time in his career, you know, what more can you ask for if you're Miami fan? Just a wonderful job getting there. You had life through the first half. It didn't go your way. Blue blood wins out as was the case in every single regional final and oh, by the way, if you were wondering, was that an operationally bad set of regional finals? Yeah. Shout out to Kevin pog for this. He said at 60.6 points per game, this year's elite 8 was the lowest scoring average since 1985, I think 85 they didn't have a shot clock or if they did it was 45 seconds. That year it was 58.4 points per game on average for the four regional finals. This one again, 60.6, the lowest since then. None of them were overly close. You had a little bit of drama latent second half with duke and Arkansas a little bit, and then you obviously had Miami given intrigue through the first 20 minutes, but then it was a blowout and then as we'll get to here, you know, unfortunately Saint Peter's clock struck midnight and it struck fast and with a fury. The other thing that I think is interesting about Kansas and I'm going to write about this later on this will all be a part of the comp. This is a little bit if you're listening to the podcast or watching it on YouTube. Like if you watched get back The Beatles documentary and you get to watch them sort of work through these songs is a little bit like what I'm doing right now. And basically being Paul McCartney right now. That was happening right now. I'm basically. Buddy. Yeah, I'm basically Paul McCartney right now. I'm just sort of working through it. And then you'll see the finished product and you go, oh wow, I saw perish. I saw Paris work that out. I promise not to be George and just walk out in the middle of this podcast here for ten days. That's not going to happen. So this is not Bill sales. And people have been saying this all year long. This is not his most talented team. It's not his best team, but he still won a big 12 title with the big 12 tournament title with it. Still got a one seat with him. But if you go through the teams, he's obviously right now. He's got one national title. It came in 2008. Dozier for the championship. That team was obviously better than this team. That's the team that won the championship. But check this out. I went through it earlier today. 2010 team? Probably also better than this.

"I assure you no one's not talking about Kansas, but if you want to say that Carolina and duke and Arkansas and St. Peters are getting more run, if you even want to make the case for, say, a Houston, I don't know if I can go that far, but I certainly certainly hear you. By the way, if you're watching on YouTube, please smash the like button if you could. I have no idea. Have you given out this paramount plus guard yet? How does this happen? It hasn't, it's about to oh, it's about to go down. It's about to go down. I don't know how, I don't know, I don't know what happens back there. I don't know, but you do what you gotta do. If you, by the way, if you are enjoying, if you enjoy this change of pace, you know, I love volleying back and forth with GP, but you can clearly tell. Your boy here likes to maybe just stretch it out a little bit. Little more improv improvisation. Let us know in the comments. Feel free to continue to chat. We will wrap pretty soon. And thanks to everyone who is listening. You guys have been amazing at keeping us highly rated on all of the podcast charts. It's been so, so cool. And a huge I'm doing this now. Not has been damn rockstar. Just taking this channel, this podcast, put it on a freaking rocket ship. Kansas gets the win. And Remy Martin just winds up being huge shield and Wilson had 16, and they just didn't even try a budget and have a big game. I thought that was pretty big. I thought that was pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty huge. And now Kansas is going to have a huge, huge advantage. Fan wise. When we get to Sunday, in Chicago, after what we saw happen with Miami, you know, they're the more talented team, man. They just are. Hurricanes. They move on past. They get over Iowa state, 70 to 56. There's not much to say here. The thing I want to watch with Iowa state is tyrese hunter. I was talking to two NBA people. The feeling is tyrese hunter returns. He can be a first round pick next year and can really like take a big jump. I hope that's what happens here. So we wait and see on that. Teach you how to do a wonderful job in his first season with ISU. But Miami moves along, Jim Lara into the elite 8, 16 years after he got George Mason to a final four. Cameron mcgusty, who was an all ACC player went for 27 Sam wartenberg at 13 and Jordan Miller had 16. So you will have Kansas versus Miami in the elite 8, I wonder how often those teams have ever played each other just out of curiosity. Thoughts on thoughts on that matchup, why don't we why don't we give the people a pick here? Yeah, I mean, I'll go to Kansas straight up. We'll see what the spread is. Although my record against the spread suggests that you would probably want to fade. My pick in that situation, but I like Kansas because I feel like Kansas is strengths sort of mirror Miami strengths in the sense that you got pretty solid guard play. It appears at this moment with rumi Martin and I trust dewan Harris and then you also have O chag bosie with the ball in his hands quite a bit and I don't think he's going to turn in consecutive bad games. On a stage like this. So I like Kansas, I think it's a pretty good matchup for the jayhawks. When you're in the elite 8 and you're playing a double digit seed, you should win straight up as a number one. I mean, the path the path has been paid for them and they've got it in the bag if they just take care of business. Sea level game gets them past the four seat and Providence. I mean, they bring their B minus game that they got to beat Miami. Yeah, no doubt about it. These seem to these schools have met four times previously. Last happened in 91, Kansas is three and one all time versus Miami, but they met in an 87, 89, 90 and 91, so it has been a hot minute. And I thought that I couldn't recall ever seeing these two teams play each other. By the way, the last time duke and UNC were both in the elite 8 was 19 98, the last time we had both Carolina and duke into the regional finals there, I will go with Kansas to beat Miami and get to the final four. I think there's a good chance that can be a pretty close game. Isaiah Wong, I would expect to show up and have a really good how Kansas schemes around augusti will be what I'm keeping an eye on in that one. You got to figure, I mean, I would expect dewan Harris, jaylen Wilson to show up defensively and have a pretty important game and pretty well played game. And then abaji, I think he'll play stronger on Sunday than he did Friday. But yeah, Candace 31 and 6 went away and that building will be 90% jayhawks fans? Probably. So good on Miami though, keep it rolling, keep it going overall. Last game from the, I guess that is those last midships. Okay, I want to, before we look ahead to Saturday, I wanted to give a shout out to people that are doing well in the eye on college basketball bracket challenge. I don't know if these people will wind up being on top, but here, right now,.

"Now. Kansas, and you know what? Juan Harris, they're going to get 15 good minutes out of him. I think that a little bit of pressure off which I make some even more effective at the end of a game where he's obviously been, you know, he's kind of like the Mariano Rivera. He's really been great at the end of games. And I think that I think also having a guy that can get in the lane and put pressure to draw to defend her up. Now makes the game easier for David, maybe for some duck offs where he can, he can get a bucket or two, but he's so comfortable. Dave McCormick is so comfortable in his role right now. And it seems like Bill is, you know, he can get a little snarky with his guys. And I think he really is enjoying this team. Michael, say, you know, maybe not his most talented team, but they're turning into in relation to the field. And talent and teams roster is not in relation to last year's field. Year before ten years ago, it's a relation to the field of playing now, like, you know, we always talk about Gonzaga. There's no bailar out there. So I have Kansas when in that one. Last one, I have a state Miami. He doesn't turn it over. I was state relies that turned into over 24% of their possessions. Iowa state struggles to score Miami could score pretty easy. They can spread out. They can open up the floor, which now you're making Iowa state defend more of the floor. Where you guys see this one. I like Miami. It's not just the way the way they're playing. It's the way they play. That 5 out offense is so difficult for traditional defenses to guard. I think Iowa state can do it because they do have some versatile defenders. It's not like they've got a traditional big guy that you need to pull away from the basket that protects the rim. Their physicality is going to be an issue for Miami so they better wear their mouth guards and make sure they're firmly in, but with the way Miami plays and the way they can isolate you and drive you with Isaiah Wong and cam augusti and Charlie Moore and Jordan Miller, all those guys in the Sam ward Burke and Pickett pop at times. I like Miami to win that game because they can score easier. And I think in that type of game, if you can, if you can score and they can get to the free throw line, I like their ability to win that. And I will state struggle with turning the basketball over and that plays to my strength and not a great defensive team, but they create a ton of turnovers and I think that's going to be the biggest factor in this game and I have Miami moving on. I've got Miami also in Jim Lara goes to Joe stone crabs and just passes to check back on to him because I'll never pay for another meal. Which is a good thing. So Jim, if you hear this, you hear all these great things. We're saying about you can ship those stone crabs anywhere in America. I won't mention my address. You know it's because of Christmas card. But once a month would be really appreciated because those things are freaking unbelievable. All right, so we participated in pontificated and beat it up. Funds. Your final four is. Gonzaga and the west, UCLA and in the east. Actually, I have to flip that one because now I have North Carolina beating UCLA and that means that you can't flip. You want me to keep my bracket the same? No, no, no, no, no, no, no. You know what? I'm good for consistency. I'm going to share with the zags, UCLA, KU and Arizona. I am going to go ahead. You feel bad for making a flip now? No, I don't at all. You know what I mean? I got Gonzaga, Arizona, Kansas, and Purdue, and Purdue replaces Kentucky, who I originally had. Otherwise, I've got three of the original four and I can't change it even if I thought one of them was going to lose because it's not worth the beating you would take. Exactly. And now I have Purdue as well as Arizona and I have Kansas. Now here's the final question of the day. Okay, because I think it's going to make me feel good about myself. Percentile in ESPN, what's your percent down right now in terms of your brand, your pick spots? I'm.

"Walker Kessler, first foul was 1735 in the first half. Second foul with 1559 goes to the bench does come back, but he ends up only playing what represents four minutes in the first half. And only played 9 in the second half, 13 minutes in the game for walker Kessler zero 6 from the field, two points two rebounds two blocks. Miami went small and played him off the court. Jim Lara with a smile when the postgame said there's some advantages to playing small. Like they, you know, they had a game plan to take walker Kessler out of this thing. And obviously when he's not standing there rim protecting auburn is a totally different team, especially on the defensive end. And so it was a bad night for auburn, but also bad night for walker Kessler's NBA hopes. NBA draft stocks, if you will. Because if you can get played off the court by the hurricanes, what NBA team is not going to be able to do that to you. So auburn loses Miami moves on. They're going to play Iowa state. In the sweet 16, which beat Wisconsin 54 49 Wisconsin shot a season low 29.8% from the field and turned it over a season high 17 times. That's an awful combination. Hey, guys, we're in the round of 32 against a double digit seed. Let's go out and shoot it worse than we've shot at all year and turn it over more than we've turned it over all year. Not going to work. Wisconsin, again, 29.8% of the field 17 turnovers. Badgers were one of 22 from three. Johnny Davis was O of 7 from three, just four, 16 from the field. Wisconsin also and this might explain the turnovers to some degree playing without Chucky Hepburn for the entire second half, suffered a leg injury in the first half. It was just everything that could go wrong for Wisconsin with wrongful Wisconsin and congrats to TJ Alzheimer. How about this? Born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. And eliminates Wisconsin in Milwaukee to take Iowa state to the sweet 16 in year one. We've been through it. Inherited a two win program, is now a one point favorite actually one point favorite last night. It's flipped this morning to Miami minus two. So let's just put it this way. Inherited a two win program and is now in the sweet 16 after going 7 and 11 in the big 12. Well, we've talked about this before. We wait to do our coach of the year voting. The TJ altenberger cakes, Iowa state to the elite 8. After inheriting a two year program, is that coach of the year stuff? You could argue just getting to the NCA tournament after inheriting a two win program is go to the year stop. And then bouncing it into the elite 8 might be my reconsider some stuff. That Cooley has my vote. Cooling has my vote if Iowa state doesn't make the final four. I think I've had cooling no matter what happens here. He gets Providence into the sweet 16. They're going to play Kansas. Also burger is great, but it's the entire regular season. And Providence's record was a lot better than Iowa state. So I have to take all of that into consideration. If you do well in the tournament, I'll take that into consideration as well. Oh, by the way, Tommy load would still be ahead of asel burger for me. We will get to Arizona TCU in just a second here. I noted on Twitter, you want to talk about the fickle beast that is this tournament. Johnny Davis, Keegan Murray, Oscar, Kofi coburn. Four of the 5 to 6 best players most valuable players, player of the year types, first team all American types in the sport this season. And what do they all have in common? They're not going to play on next weekend. They're all do it in your Magic Johnson voice. What do they all have in common? I'm not going to be here. Hopefully that's close. I'm not going to be here. I think I might be lower than with. They want magic was doing. But yeah, I got no problem. You handle the peacock. I'll handle I'll handle Magic Johnson. It's a while though. And actually, we still have plenty of star power. Like we still got to get to Hayden. We still have guys that are still going to be moved along and we have amazing storylines in sweet 16 all over the place. But Iowa state, you know, it kind of makes sense that they got out of that pod, if you will, because that one looked like it was maybe right for some chaos and that wound up being true. Tyrese hunter is a real ball player. Real ball player. Iowa state fans enjoy him because that's not a four year dude at your school right now. He will be making money playing in the NBA. He'll be the latest and next high Reese to do so out of Iowa state university. And TJ Alzheimer has statistically pulled off, I saw some variation of this tweet from like three different accounts on Sunday. Like there's never been a team that's done this. That goes from two wins to the sweet 16. Has never happened. So incredible stuff for him and that program. Iowa state fans, you know, they were probably gripping a little bit down the stretch of the regular season, understandably, so 'cause it was just up and down up and down. Good start, and then you got in the big 12 play and it's a bear. What do you want? It has the bears into this a bear, but you had more than enough to get in. And I believe we were in agreement parish. We thought Iowa state was actually under seated for its resume, right? I don't know if I had an opinion on that, actually. People. I was there and I presume that you might be as well. So I'll go there with you. Hey, I absolutely think I would say it was under seated. Look at them now. They're in the sweet 16. Exactly. Look at them now. And they did a wonderful job. Now, their ability to just clog teams up is really something else. They're not aesthetically the most pleasing group in the bunch, not even close, but who cares if you're in Iowa state fan. You move along and you get to extend it. Iowa state is a perfect example where if like if I asked you I'd lost to LSU in the first round, there wouldn't have been it wouldn't have been no shame in that. You were the lower seat of team. First year under also burger, but it's a perfect example of like we get to the tournament and it's like, oh yeah, they made it but see ya, like we'll think about you when we got to start talking pre season hoops again kind of deal. Instead, it's exactly what you said before. They managed to get a couple of Wednesday get the wet over Wisconsin and Milwaukee and now you get three, four more days worth of exposure. You get a sweet 16 game. And it's a humongous thing for your program. It's also huge. These kind of things coaches will tell you, getting the tournament huge period. But for recruiting, once you get to the sweet 16 specifically, if you're like a power conference school and not one that's always there, you can get some real boost in momentum off of that stuff. So I would think that will be a good thing for Iowa state as well. Cyclones will move along to play in.

"For that talk. I'll take Iowa state straight up, get spread the whole deal. I always say it was picked last in the big 12 and made the tournament TJ Allison burgers done a great job this year. It has been just circling and circling and just kind of in directionless over the past 6 weeks. I will go LSU, but I have no, I have no idea. Three C, Wisconsin versus number 14 Colgate. This is going to be around 10 p.m. eastern on TBS on Friday in Milwaukee, Wisconsin is a 7 and a half point favorite again in Milwaukee. Wisconsin to win the game in advance, but Colgate. My two plays the choice. It's not really. I go, Tom's. Unless it's a sponsor. If Colgate's a sponsor, then that's my toothpaste choice. If not, it's Christ. Okay. We are not sponsored by toothpaste. I'm almost positive. I'm almost done. Well, somebody needs to work on that. All right. With regard to the wearing Colgate to cover. I have Wisconsin and winkle get to cover. I would take Colgate to win this game straight up if it was in Fort Worth or Pittsburgh, but it's not. It's a Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I will take Bucky to win. Cole get to cover Colgate is the second best three point shooting team in this tournament. The only one better is South Dakota state, which is by far the best three point shooting team. And it's why I took him to be Providence. Scooting on down this bracket number 7 USC ten seat Miami approximately three 15 p.m. eastern on true TV. This will be on Friday. I will be there. This is kind of a good game tucked in the middle of the afternoon. This is in Greenville, USC is a one and a half point favorite. Miami to win Miami to cover. How about Jim Lara enters the season, people whispering like, you know, Coachella might retire at the end of the season. Do went to the NCAA tournament signed a contract extension. Done a great job. I'm gonna have him losing, but I got him covering. God. I have USD to win. Miami to cover yes, the line is narrow. I got a buzzer beater situation here. I got Miami losing similarly to how it lost the last time. It was in this tournament when Loyola Chicago knocked it out and then went on to make the final four. So we both have Miami covering. You have the canes to win. I have USC to win. Last game, and there's a lot of high level defenses in this region, by the way, creighton, San Diego state, what LSU auburn, they're all high level. Auburn, two C 15 C Jacksonville state, Greenville, this will be my first game on the ground there on Friday. TruTV 1240 p.m. eastern, man, this live number keeps climbing nada says, hello to everyone. We got more to come. I will go. Yeah, 15 and a half. Auburn. GP? Jackson will stay covering this number? No. Absolutely not. Walker Kessler's gonna block 17 shots. No, realistically, let's do the over under. If I said it at 7 and a half, will you go over for walker cressler? No, because I don't think it'll play enough minutes 'cause it'll be a blowout, but he's gonna block a shot every 45 seconds. Well then he's gonna hit the offer. Unless you have auburn putting this thing to bed with 13 minutes to go in the first half. I do. I do. It'll be. And then Wendell window Gradle, get wild, it'll get close, and then I'll run a pull away. Oh my gosh. All right, who do you have advancing along in the Midwest? So I've got Kansas beating San Diego state, then Iowa, I hate to do this. I apologize to the jackrabbits, but you know, at some point. I will over South Dakota state. State losing to Wisconsin and then auburn over Miami. So then in the sweet 16, I've got Kansas over Iowa, auburn, over Kansas, and then I've got auburn, beating Kansas, Bruce pearl, back in the final four. And some of the comments right now are too funny. I did not see how cool these reaction in real time when he realized he had South Dakota state. But fair enough. All right, so I will go Kansas to move along and here's the deal. Every year, at least one double digit seed makes the sweet 16. Paris, do you have a double digit seed in the sweet 16? I don't know. I just told you everything. Good times. The only one I had changed to this one, you're the best. The only one is South Dakota state for me. I will ride this team, I am the jackrabbit ambassador on this podcast. What?.
