"Talk to us to god's about everything that's happening around those paul brothers and how they have gamed the system on fame and really. They're changing things with a generation or representative of a generation. You heard greg cody talk about this. The other day that kids today wannabe youtubers and bloggers youtubers and bloggers instead of whatever doctors astronauts teachers whenever kids used to want to be because the path to fame is so much easier. and so floyd mayweather. Did you see the numbers on this fight. Because this game is changing. It is not enough anymore to just be boxing. There is a there now. Competitors coming for boxing and it doesn't care whether you want to shake your fist at clouds as an old person youtubers versus tiktokers is something that kids are watching kids. Get to make everything popular and these. Paul brothers are popular. Even though they're problematic. And floyd made with floyd mayweather stays winning big original streaming service. Who learned before anybody. The greatest businessman i believe in the history of athletics. The best of youtube versus the best of tiktok. I don't know what the numbers were were they. I'm assuming they were stuff. It's not just that it's trailer. We're going to talk to jim lamp shade some point because they're giving you more. I don't know where that. Dj calendar thing happened that that youtuber versus tiktok thing right where he comes out in the music never came on it was super cringe-worthy imagine dj callard acapella. Do i need even say anything else. No it was another. I liked that it was. It was truly terrible. But i wanna play for you. Some sound mayweather nosy. Stealing your money. He does not mind telling you he's stealing your money. You've been watching him. This is one of the greatest winters across sports any generation that we've ever seen we because he never gets hit in that sport. Somehow his fights aren't terribly interesting but he gets you into the circus ten every time and he keeps more of a percentage than anybody gets to keep never loses. Andy tells you right here. He tells you right. He set up more. More fights against paul's if you want if if jake beats spent woodleigh and more more thirty five million dollar pay days which is what he got. Thirty five million dollars logan paul owen to got five million dollars. Five million dollars. Floyd mayweather tells you that theme and then throws it in your face afterward. He's saying it's.

"The sharpest dressers. And by the way kicks so much ass on the cbs sunday. Football show like in between games and pre games and stuff. He's amazing j. Were of course. Talking about nate burleson. So we'll get to him later And then later on the shot off you saw the comments by matthew mcconaughey but And mcconnell as like playing every side of every angle right now so we'll talk to him later on in the show but first let's get. Let's get into the announcement this past week that Floyd mayweather junior is going to be fighting logan. Paul jake paul but logan paul so this is my twentieth so you could go to my theory is that you know where you are in this world by. Who your celebrity boxing against you find yourself in the ring with honey. Boo shit's not going. Well jefferson when saying you. You've fallen on hard times. If you ever see that you are versus ozzie. Canseco in a boxing match in orlando things are not going. Well yeah and i think well that's one way to look at it. Is that floyd mayweather. So but because you don't have money you do it because you need this next gig. We understand that there are a lot of people who once had fame now living on the edge. If your name. Joey buttafuoco is the type of guy that gets in the ring and like tries to box. Tonya harding yourself. What i'm saying like that's the type of stuff like in those moments. You realize what attack titian butterbean was. He actually could box. He was actually a really good boxer and butterbean beating. You is like the guy with two knee braces. Just raining shots over you at the rec center. Everyone's garden you. Like i'm trying and he's like six then you can't i can't he's like throwing it up in a weird. Jamal will sort of away. And he's draining everything that is butterbean weapon your ass. Because he was a guy who never ever did a sit up right but so that's one theory but flav mayweather has money. Floyd mayweather has the legacy. Floyd mayweather has done all that he needs to do in the world of boxing. So there's gotta be something else at play here and i ran. I think in light of jake. Paul knocking out nate robinson. Who is friends with mayweather. Mayweather is like i'm gonna beat up. Logan paul so badly ominous knocked the paul's out of boxing. I'm gonna hit logan paul so hard. That jake paul's going to quit. I'm gonna hit logan paul so hard he's gonna wanna go back to the suicide forest like it's it's i think there is. This is a message sending a message. So i think there's a notion right now where mayweather as like. These guys are stepping into the ring and the whole internet exploded. Because jake paul dropped. Nate robinson he was literally knocked out. And i think you know there's this notion of like for us if someone who's like kind of not really a comedian gets on state like remember when jeremy piven was like trying to do stand up and we'd go out and he would tell these long stories and it's like yeah you're standing on the stage and you might be getting laughs but you're not doing stand up comedy like stand up. Comedy is an intricate thing that we spent our whole lives working on. You can't just suddenly say. I'm a stand up. Comedian and the internet goes nuts over you when that's a disrespect to the art of boxing and i do think so. So you want you in floyd mayweather to box jeremy piven. I would like to see that or to do. Stand up with logan paul. But i do think there's something in that notion that he's this is noble this religions. Yeah hey i'm gonna show you. The boxing is a real thing. What's insane though is that mayweather is such and fights such a boring style. That sucks he so defensive that you can't get the shot in on him that i don't think there's going to be that crazy knockout punch and also logan. Paul is much bigger than mayweather like much bigger. So i'm not sure mayweather is going to be able to knock him out. Knock him out like your may whether you don't wanna just win on points. My question is is this good for boxing. This bad for boxing. Because we're talking about floyd mayweather junior. Fighting a kid are a youtube star. We're not talking about like when you. And i saw sugar ray leonard. Fight marvin hagler over at howard. Oh pinski's house on pay per view. We're not talking about and we lived through that. Golden era of middleweight. Like we're not talking about that. We're talking about some stunt fight which the biggest fight before that was conor mcgregor. Usc guy fighting floyd mayweather junior like the paki on mayweather fight happened five years after it should've happened. Boxing has a real problem. Like are we talking about but like if you're super inside boxing. Yeah you know the the happy waits for tyson fury. I think fury's interesting in -aduated mason fury triple g is good and low. Marchinko is good. And i mean i've seen these fights in there good but like the casual fan doesn't give a damn about it so boxing has kind of become like record. Like you have to really understand like you have to be a music file to want to go into the vinyl world The the general tiktok music fan of juice world is not going to be like really digging into stacks vinyl at record shut up so boxing sort of become more of a niche thing which is crazy because when you think back to like mohammed ali those massive fights that he did. And you think about sugar ray. Leonard and roberto duran and all those fights from the eighties and the nineties before mma hit the scene like those were the things that they were as big a sport as any other sport. I remember lennox lewis fighting mike tyson. I remember of andhra holyfield fighting my in the nineties so like again. The eighties had some great fights. The nineties had some great fights and they have yet. There were fights where people get on pay per view. Remember like being in new york city and like walking down the street and seeing people looking into a bar that charged money because they've got the pay per view and people just showed up to watch it like that was the thing that was the thing i don't think people are gonna do that with the Floyd mayweather logan. It's like this feels like a fight of like meet me outside. But i don't think it should even happen in the ring. I think it should happen outside the building. It should start with what i'm saying. You wanna take it outside. And then they go outside and it's just like a bare knuckles bra happens and we'll see if it does anything for the world of boxing. I do believe i do believe that. Floyd mayweather has more pressure on him than he is willing to admit because he is fighting for the art and the dedication to boxing. He's not just fighting. Come out though. He's got a knock them out. Can't just win on points. If you just wins on points let me. Just ask you this. Is jim lampley gonna call it. No fricken jim. Lampley does even come near that thing because it is a stunt it is not a real thing and a guy like jim. Lampley who loves. Boxing would never ever even able to try to get jim lamp. Maybe we'll try to get jim lampley on the show and sia mason's be amazing. Let's take a break when we come back on the other side let's talk. Nfl it is in full swing. Two huge upsets happened this week in the nfl from the woeful.

"She was fifteen. Yeah. So you probably got a little bit more experienced Florida's tab as professional boxing goals. So if you really. About it. You don't outboxed boxer didn't floyd him suck. A lot of weight to I think he needs to get done like fifty two or. Like I think sixteen pounds heavier than floor. So if you sixteen pounds heavier than him, that tells you that you've gotTA use sixteen. pounds. To use it against Mitchell. Not, saying that, he would have beat Florida Florida's a small gap, Lord knows how to. Change that that's a good thing about floor also is an elite fighter who knows how to make adjustments. But for your best for optimal chances. Yeah. You gotta go help from around one like down did now it was my daughter didn't Florida I fight Gave problem. For. They own. He Punch. He's biggest. Don's awhile man you don't matter. That's the oldest all chance. You're not gonNA outbox me with Komo. Risks Losing that's what I'm saying he wasn't at that point wouldn't rid of their so to say he's a pedophile. We could say that, but he's older five or two. So of course, the older you get the better you supposed to get right but we can't necessarily say he's a better fighter until we see him against the Guy Floyd off. Fixed because. He had the same problem with our air. Sunday lower okay. Laura is you hit the floor. Areas Sunday lower is a box, right so that fight that fight was a fight that some people thought could either way Yeah. I thought me being one of me I. Don't mean you got better. Than me that you face in different types of competition, right because you do that. And Hannah? That's Then we got better. Yeah. He's a great fighter. Don't even wrote to me he in my top. I Like I love Canal I think another one out there but we can't say we always quick to say that he got better after the floor of. I'm not going to say that necessarily he got better because you're GONNA get anyway breakfast he's going to grow up. De he was when he grew up most people when they grew up, they get smarter. So the better. But I don't think the fluff I made him better because he still had didn't show me. They made the necessary adjustment to come back and beat Florida if you're thinking or even fight. For him because if he dot pressuring floor, he's never gonNA outbox Yeah. Styles make fine I am saying yeah. What did you stunned by the Cova fight was Kobe took the fight at a time I. thought was bad for him because he took it route one other fico and it's like to me. I don't think Coppola took the fight with the intent to win it. I think he felt like. I get a chance to fight NEDAL AUGMON. You think. So I felt like I don't think I can see recovered over me. You try to Buck Hill. And move. Will it little talk you out of the week? We talked him. Is the way he should. Stop me with the first time because that we had to make beat me and he turned cova the question tend to a boxer I think sitting cove love the the words always been that he drinks too much. I hit that boredom Santa's covert nicknamed crusher right? Why would you come up to week classes? Make you alleviate? Yeah. Deviate from where you are. You normally called the crusher. Now you're GonNa go to the box all of a sudden for God come up to. No. I. Know. I mean I love to two. That's my best my boy. But I feel like he fought their own fighting. Casino. Yeah. I don't know if he was physically capable fighting any other fight. Well, but like I don't think he's to me durables used to be. I. Agree with that too but to me. You must fight. The right game plan or you've lost before the faced, right? Yeah. True. Well. Your fantastic commentator man. It's one of the things that got really bummed out when HBO died. I can't believe they took away boxing. That, I don't know why HBO did that I just don't understand well understood what they told me was that they don't like the fact they are not going to do something and be mature can be number one day doing. And so I got I, can I can kind of understand, somewhat put them into number two. I'm just saying they want to be best dissolved. Cloudy ESPN plus. Is If they want to be number one. Well I mean I, don't know man between you and with Jim Lamp. Kellerman. Fantastic. You guys did in. The the commentary team was unparalleled. I'm best of the best ever. That's what I'm saying. But like I say I just feel like maybe they were used to having the elite champions. Because camps became dispersed. Maybe. That was out but to me I feel like. I felt like. They. Just want to be maybe people that bottom up this. I don't know I I don't know either. But it's a sad state of affairs. Hurt me I tell you that it is still to this day sky. I mean they'd been in boxing for how much did it? Hurts me to this day? and. It's amazing that no one has brought that team back with Max Kellerman to this day is not doing boxing commentary I'm aware of doolittle ESPN does he he does look it up but who's where's Jim Lampley? I don't know but that guy those two guys or two of the best guys can work with and gymnast has a memory that is unparalleled in about I've ever met in my life this Gat can look at a paper one time I remember that whole page almost word for it I believe it I mean I ain't never seen in my life now he is as good a play by play commentator. As ever lived yes. Sir. Phenomenal HBO was Pretty Awesome. As an organization because I built my career there HBO, and then to be able to build that commentary career that was so fabulous for me. So they were really I mean it hurt me bad that. They got boxing because that was like. Man, that was really. The Kingpin of Fox. No there were there were uncrowned. I mean undoubtedly, the the ones wore the crown. Do you do any commentary now not to my contracts contracts over to December? Oh okay. So after December I can do other companies here. Are you talking to anybody about doing hip? You do that I haven't spoke to him about it I'm sure after ends will go speaking of people but have spoken to anybody yet so. How'd you get involved with Russia? How'd you become a Russian citizen when I read that? I was like what is happening Roy? What are you doing? Matt do so much. My partner got a movie coming out right that call for kings and Mike Tyson in that movie too. But I do so much. So I was over at Russia doing fights, doing stuff and. I never realized how big I wasn't Russia talk born over there. In Russia is like a Roy of nineteen ninety s really. Yeah when I go somewhere..

"I'm running Gorman with me in studio Morgan lash Felix Vega and James per lander on the board before we get into some other items this hour let's unpack a little bit about that previous conversation with former tennis act original Rowntree in his attorney will floor in again Reginald Rowntree's thirty year career came to an end back in February ten new station management claim determination had do with some ethical issues involving his interview with Michael Drake other Clearwater convenience store parking lot shooter who again was recently sent to twenty years in prison Reginald said time determination is actually age discrimination ten news this parent company denied that he filed a complaint with the equal employment opportunity commission now he's filed an age discrimination lawsuit against the station ten news responded by saying that Mr Rowntree's allegations are baseless we reached out to them for response earlier today that's what they came back with Felix you've taken a look at the lawsuit in your your talk a little bit about some of the documents that you went through in that interview with Reggie where do you think this whole thing stands does he have a good case he definitely has a case in terms of the not only going back for five to seven years where he they were doing is one year contracts and you know what his allegations in the complaint the original complaint file EEOC document that and that he was noticing like you said that he was getting one year contracts everyone else under forty was getting the standard two three for your three for your contact I guess with them I know some places or do you only two years even for their main anchor so there's a clear pattern yeah and that's what it seems like because and then when that statement from the news director in April twenty seventeen where he says I quote I don't want old guys with ties on my news that that's a year before ready was kind of getting the final push to get to go out and so the final contracted Willis talking of the need to negotiate it was for him to have a six month on the desk contract as the anchor but then he was getting demoted for the next twelve months to investigative reporter so what TV station can say we want younger fresher faces on our newscast we want to change the look of how we do news today I actually have the right to fire anyone it well that they want to the contract issue always comes up based on my experience is that it did the final push to get someone out comes right when your contract is DO of whether or not you want to re sign or not that's where kind of things so I'm a need to do it when the contract is up then you just don't bring them back and you can redo the station that way yes and that's what typically you see some stations deal with al over evidence of age discrimination or indications of this is that what they want to do so normal cases you may think like they're just pushing me out I'm getting older this and the other thing but if he's got a pattern where over the years he was just Blake designated like you're only get a one year contract you're the main anchor we're cutting your salary twenty five thousand dollars at a time you know down to where it was and then flip side of that the younger anchors were getting the equal increases for what he was losing so that's why I think some of the differences of they just terminated him or that is contract expires they were not renewing you stand there may have been less evidence but one that the GM got fire like I was talking about with Reggie and they found the paperwork on it literally on his desk targeting ready saying twenty eighteen bye bye in the in the list of people that were the only a very professional way all right yeah but yes it was that in the navy the one thing they were doing their new line up for the newscast yeah look you you can just watch ten news and they are all super young I think there's a one woman on at night Katie is it is it McCall is at her last name thanks I think yeah she's she's probably the oldest person that they have on the station she's not even just in terms of that statement by the news director I'm thinking back to when they change their entire format when they went to the like the breaks that with the wood floors that are walking around and now the guys wearing ties anymore you know that kind of falls in line with what the news director wanted to they wanted more casual and younger yeah exactly very clear that's what they wanted the problem is how they went about potentially getting rid our regional Rowntree problematic for them but like I was saying they want this one paper where they you specifically mention they want to read you gone by twenty eighteen you can see they're doing the six finalists yes and also there's this and there's another one where they kind of are targeting these are the people that they want to go on Jim's lamp van fleet was when the meteorologist who have been there for ever he was on that list but this one was their new line up with what they were going to and so they were kind of making notes as they went along he's was was at six PM hours and Reggie at three C. twenty eighteen bye bye and so that was it yo sees not just alleging and he's got some documentation yeah exactly how to get those documents the same complaint now it doesn't but the other thing it's important remember your how this whole process plays out when you file an EEOC complaint you don't get to sue right away there's a hundred eighty day wait I also have you guys broke the story in February right he had to wait six months and you have to get pre clearance from EEOC to file the lawsuit in that period of time what they try and do is work out a negotiation or settlement so both sides don't come to agreement then you know see grant you the right to go forward with your complaint and file an actual lawsuit against the company in the lawsuit are there any details and they try to work out a settlement do we know anything like that there is EEOC transmittal where it's basically gives him permission for the radio see said you're good to file this that's not saying that he's going to win but they said you it's okay for you to file the age discrimination lawsuit yes as based on its invest is investigation the EOC is unable to conclude that the information obtained establishes violations of the statutes as of not certify that the respondent is in compliance with these statutes no finding is made and so they've basically say you're free to sue them so that's how that that's how that legal process works you can't just go clean age discrimination without going through the io sees process and then once you get that notice notification is Cyril then you have ninety days to file your lawsuits over you wait around to going complaining everything you're Reggie is lawyer will they follow the proper receipts procedure that's included as part of their lawsuit now Reggie and his lawyer wouldn't say exactly what he's trying to get out of this lawsuit is it listed there yeah you bet Beasley's looking for back pay with interest for pay with interest compensatory damages all the certain things it is a lawyer will kind of touched on it because I was making so there's no dollar figure out dollar figure they only need to allege it's more than fifteen thousand dollars to get into circuit court in Florida so that's what they allege you know it's like this is for more than fifteen thousand dollars and you see that always lawsuits we cover yeah weather never specific about yelled they filed this multi million dollar you read the complaint there's no mention of multi million dollar you could you don't know right that's a jury determination are you surprised that other former employees and station having joined into this lawsuit no because they probably don't they're probably thinking long term of weather like it they can go to a smaller market or go to the salvage their career somehow it may not be your number thirteen I have a good friend of mine who went from you know what our market to west Palm Beach and always up in upstate New York it's about salvaging his career and yet you know where's Reggie it sounds like you just you know based on the conversation we have them sounds like he's done he's done yeah after of course he's done yeah a thirty year career yeah so for him it's like I've got nothing to lose but I'm gonna pull the bandaid off this and show people this is going on these are your rights for those other people like you know that were let go right around forty years old there are probably other places where they can go get jobs with this hanging over their head it's likely these women in New York one I was talking about right they're all still on air but they're battling this lawsuit in court and one of the women Roma Tory who is there whether afternoon anchors she was sidelined once she filed the lawsuit guess what she was back in line up and she's got her own promo spots and so I saw because I watch them every night so I saw the difference I like Hey what happened Christmas songs he would have been wrong what happened to be in late and so in that loss to the detail how they were shoved out once charter allegedly took over and basically sideline them for younger people and a new form interesting because two different companies were talking about exactly techno when it comes to regional Rowntree's case against ten news that is charter in spectrum hi okay I can finally I've been following only because I've watched them for so long and again it's okay for them to not renew a contract specifically because they want to get younger legal right they just can't fire somebody because they want to get somebody younger somebody more tractors don't worry about it but I mean yeah I have every right not to renew your contract they can terminate you for because in terms of you know they build up enough stuff on you like well you know you're you world late to work on all these days and you didn't do this you didn't do your time sheet right that could be grounds for termination your contract he only signed a one year contract this contract was going to be coming up in a little while anyway what I don't understand why they didn't just wait it out a little right because his stay in the clear he filed the he filed a complaint on January twenty eight to twenty nineteen they serve the party papers on them February eighteenth they contract this contract was terminated even though it was still running to March first that's that's done that's right he was not I'm not gonna say let's just say things should have probably been thought out a little yeah unless they really thought they had something on with the ethical issues if I don't know how we cover that last time we had Reggie on the show when we first broke the story in and have the exclusive with them back in February and and if that seemed fan what they were saying there right and I think they will it was clear I mean it's clear I think that they wanted him out over a number of years and just thought he would eventually like he basically said is like the other probably thought which is going to quit at some point wasn't going to get more than a year long contract but you know you stick it out I had situations when I was a prosecutor where I wanted to quit but it wasn't realistic for me even though I was getting yeah I was getting piled on by different supervisors in people that were like making false allegations against me or kind of like you're driving me into doing all these trials and stuff like that yeah and what I supposed to do I'm a single guy I have no other source of income so where does this go from here this lawsuit it could could there be a settlement could technically on and say now Hey okay let's dance it's also always a possibility whether or not they'll you.

"Pollyanna. I have no qualms with that has stitch said that bare knuckle is his favorite Gig now because of all the work you're probably hoping they bring back dueling right. You treat gunshot wounds from the head down right or for the gym Artem had a tough time catching up to him and figuring out but arms got so much heart so much resolve and he just kept going at him and then eventually you know he just it through more that was more for the judge the score and then the dirty boxing you know that was that was an advantage to artem also and <hes> but you know I gotta give polly the credit for just crossing that line to do what he did whether he's designed for a knuckle fights is a different thing. I don't think so <hes> not so much because they're all gonna get cut because of his hands and <hes> injuries for hands with his type of guy are pretty high. He's also I think going if this thing continues to grow he will be remembered as the the first real world class boxing champion that legitimized it and and probably on them going over to bare knuckle with huge for exactly and on that level we probably still haven't seen the equivalent from the anime world arm was an established him in May fighter but wait until we see the former U._f._C. Champion of some particular particular weight class going on you know you're talking about Credit Chris lytle he does commentating also bareknuckle fights but he's also a fighter and he's designed for that sport his style fighting fighting. You know <hes> is perfect for what they do in that type of fight right. I agree yeah. Hopefully he's not done right he's not. I don't think so I mean it was commentating taste by the Corley a fighter from D._C.. That I work with four was the world champion. He just asked me three days ago at the May with Jim that he he wants to fight he trains over the mayweather that somebody who gave Floyd Mayweather junior harder time than people remember chopped up yeah all right <hes> Jimmy by the way stepping in against Leonard Gercy in the main event yeah. That's crazy. Remember Leonard's fights on the W._C.. He's Taylor me here because he he fought in concord Mexico and he's tailor made for that all yeah he was born Arctic. Nothing has to change in this Ayler. Stepping in for night is a fight. I just recently looked at the website. <hes> Bare Knuckle Title Fight Championship T. Dot TV. I'll look it up just a second but I was. I'll scanning to see did they were they able to replace the main event and boom the whole card. was there like they had eight <hes> announced fights lights and everything so can't <hes> cannot wait for that one because they've got me hooked up man I I really enjoy Georgia and Richard because when the A._F._c. came you know started boxing guys had no questions for me on the fights right well once it started picking up then Jim lamp lease and all these guys started asking asking me questions about the U._F._C. whatever you now where the same steps are being taken with bare knuckle fights or people are stopped me and asking me about it and and it's drawn interest from what I understand on the last fight with Paulie fight that <hes> their knuckles out so the A._F._C. papers pay per views think David Feldman him as he's the president of the company. Put that out yeah so that was that was big. I mean that's only about was there six show the seventh one coming in so by think about U._F._C. One sold eighty five U._F._C. Two. They went up to one fifteen or something and then of course they had those dark ages but I don't think by U._F._C. Sixty missile two hundred thousand I mean I I don't remember but still that's a huge huge..
