"Contest I'm Jim Johnson this is Bloomberg daybreak weekend or global look ahead at the top stories for investors in the coming week I'm Bob moon in New York Washington is playing a major role in helping the U. S. economy get past the coronavirus for a look at what we could see next here's Bloomberg daybreak anchor Nathan Hager from our Bloomberg ninety nine one team in the nation's capital well Bob Washington like much of the rest of the country is essentially shut down due to the corona virus pandemic but whether in the economic and medical toll of this disease continues to be the priority for the White House and congressional lawmakers for more on the response of joined by Bloomberg U. S. politics editor Kathleen hunter so Kate we have this giant stimulus package but there's still a question of how long it's going to take to get implemented what's the feeling now well I think there's a sense certainly from a political standpoint within the White House the trump administration that they want you get this money and aid into the hands of companies and individuals and quickly as possible but you know it's not necessarily going to be an easy thing to administer and under certainly you know that they're the red tape and has the potential to really build up until I think that the question now the ticket because I think that there is a real demand out there and there's no going to be aside relief out there that the aid is going to be coming but then if it takes quite awhile to get there I think that could you know because people actual problem because the way I have some political headaches yeah we certainly saw the demand in the latest jobless claims filings a record three point three million unemployment benefit applications and we've heard doctor felt she say that the U. S. doesn't have a system for testing the system is a failing in the medical regard raises the question now whether the system for getting this benefit to the people and businesses that need it is something of a failing in the U. S. as well well I think certainly how the whole kept Bakul unfolded doesn't instill a whole lot of confidence in the arm federal government's ability to kind of set up the systems on the fly and implement them in a way that's going to be seeing my ex and provide quick aid to people and so I think that you know certainly the hope out there I think but for the administration and for the companies and individuals are gonna benefit eight is that it will be a more straightforward and easier and effective process in the testing process then but you know I think that that remains to be seen and certainly that that is not really comforting to watch how the testing process hold it what's the sense of how the supply chains are holding up right now especially now when the president is talking about possibly ranking counties as low medium and high risk to try to get business back up and running sooner rather than later as the president has said he'd like to see well I think again this is kind of a thank you go forward with that plan of Rankin county as a way to kind of get things up and running again but yet another federal system that can have to be set up on the fly on there's apparently been criteria identified for doing that you know how effective that criteria and that being how quickly you know that could be the first out of the local governments whether state local government agreed with what the federal government is saying based on their own criteria and you know if they if we see a situation where a federal or state and local state or local government doesn't actually want to comply with the re opening order from the federal government on the back of the comprehensively pretty hairy pretty quickly and so I think that these are just some of the issues that arise when we're starting to see the federal government may be trying to move forward with its plans to be open from the country you know there's a lot a lot of issues that come up is there anything more that states can do to coordinate among themselves I mean there's a lot of competition for some of this life saving equipment that the states are looking for is there any way that they can coordinate without federal Brian well I think that was being you know I think that all I think the short answer that federal time help in doing that when you don't want to see anyone hurt governor Cuomo of New York talking about this this week as you know on one state or one locality on kind of buying up replied that might be needed elsewhere or vice versa you know not having being on the on the at the end of the spectrum where you're having your there's a great need for that and you're not able to get it on so I think that you know nationwide coordination doesn't have its benefits and if that's not happening effectively at the state level I mean increasingly because the federal government trying to do that on their own but they are not as well equipped that really coordinate at the federal government would be and so I think that that is the trigger thing for them to try to implement on their own now as lawmakers head back to their constituencies up potentially for weeks now what are you expecting to happen behind the scenes in terms of putting another round of stimulus or another round of health measures forward well I'm American idol all professions I think finding out across the country and and you that you know beyond America across the world you know working remotely on it it's challenging in terms of getting everyone on the same page court meeting thing we know that Congress had a very hard time on you know making progress making breakthroughs negotiating getting things moving you know even when everyone sitting in the same room having lawmakers dispersed across the country I think will only make that more difficult that being said there obviously is a lot of pressure you on the act pressure on Congress to act and so so I think there's going to be a huge incentive to you know have the work around the clock had them get agreement on the next phase of any kind of legislation but certainly having them not all being and physically in Washington in the interim to not help what is the focus of the next round of stimulus likely to be is it going to be more on the health side or is there going is there potentially a need for further economic stimulus well the politicization that I think that you know it it's gotten suddenly the park project where the needs are going to be and if we start seeing no working the exponential increase in cases that unfortunately that correspond with an increase and you know I deaths from the virus I think we could be different needs and different demands come out in the next few days and got imagine the situation will continue to be very fluid but I think that you know what to the area that I'd be watching are you know with the oil industry there weren't there weren't the things of the island she was seeking it provided no on aid to the oil industry that the most recent thing lessons I think that be something to watch in off the eight the cruise industry which obviously a separate massively over the last several weeks they add the virus has spread across the globe in the cruise industry also on unlike the airline industry didn't receive any assistance in the John in this most recent stimulus and I think that would be something to watch going forward to see if they are able to get some additional aid and whatever future measures come come about the course with all the disruptions we've seen N. as this pandemic continues to spread to one of them is having to do with politics it's essentially suspended presidential campaigning in this election year what do you make of how the president has used this time this response to the pandemic we've seen him inside the White House briefing room pretty much every night I mean that'll loan has been an unusual development throughout this yeah I mean looking at it strictly from an electoral or political land I think that a couple things one is that you know this this issue and obviously goes without saying you know crowded out every other issue that was in the campaign you know even just three weeks ago there were other issues on the table this is the only issue right now it may be the only issue related key issue on that help determine the twenty the twenty twenty election in November on the little key thing is that we don't know what the situation is going to be on the ground come November but you know certainly it's going to be a major if not the issue and that when it comes to that you know trump is American now in a crisis situation and from the president and though he is getting you know a lot more air time to put it mildly than the democratic candidate but I think because he's not able to hold the large rallies that he you know love so much and talk about really seem to get energized by I think that in some way and again just from a purely political standpoint on the crisis managing president he's also able to continue to kind of connect to the American public and you know for better or worse whether they're happy with what he's doing I'm happy with what he's doing and I had been with the Gallup poll this past week that showed that sixty percent of Americans are happy with it approve of it coronavirus response the weather you know you approve a calmer down a group of comp you basically you know the only candidate that getting any attention at the moment and obviously that comes at the detriment of the Democratic Front runner Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders who is still in this race although Sanders it has to be said has been getting a little bit of visibility here just within the debate that we saw this week around the stimulus package yeah he has a standard definitely had you know he had some concerns that we can look back into that he was able to avoid and but that he could play and I think that you know that did raise the bill the bill of the edgy that Hey I'm here still in the race and I think that when it comes to that you know one of the things that you know it may not end up mattering too much because ultimately you know when we're in a type of a situation where president seeking a second term you know conventional political wisdom about it with the referendum on the I'm betting that that you know the opposing party candidate doesn't matter as much as what people think of the the president and currently in office I think that the advent of the corona virus crisis only emphasizes that and make that even more true for the twenty twenty right and so in some ways it may not matter that much that Joe Biden if he does become the eventual nominee or whoever the democratic nominee and that being isn't getting ahead of their time at the moment because we're still a long without for most Americans from the November election and so I think that you know ultimately a lot of people are gonna be casting their vote not necessarily for a democratic candidate whoever that may be but you're for against John let's plan for U. S. politics editor Kathleen hunter and that is what's happening in the nation's capital I'm Nathan Hager you can track all the latest developments on the corona virus pandemic on the Bloomberg terminal just type V. Super Bowl XXXIX Recap: Patriots vs. Eagles

"The game we most fans remember. Andy Reid foremost is super bowl. Thirty nine and especially how the game finished up in the last six minutes. But let's set things up here just a little bit coming into Super Bowl all thirty nine. Both the Patriots and Eagles were the best teams in their conference. Both number one seeds both had tremendous seasons. The Patriots went fourteen and two that season season as they were looking for their third super bowl title in four years. Obviously Tom Brady was just beginning his run as the greatest quarterback of all time but he'd already established himself as a two time superbowl champion. And so the odds were stacked against the eagles a little bit in the Super Bowl although the eagles were far and away the best team team in the NFC that season having gone thirteen and three really they were essentially a one loss team. They lost to the Pittsburgh steelers in the middle of the season but they had clinched the number for one seat in the conference with two games left in the season and basically didn't play anybody in the final two games and that's why they went thirteen and three. The Eagles probably could have been a fifteen in one team if they'd actually played their starters in the final two games of the season but thirteen and three is nothing to sneeze at and it was certainly good enough to get them the number one seed in the playoffs The Eagles defeated the Minnesota Vikings rather handily in the NFC divisional round and then in the NFC championship game. As you heard me talk about on the last edition of BG and memories when we took a look back at the ten greatest moments in Eagles NFC championship game. History when they dispatch the Falcons pulling away in the second in half winning that game. Twenty seven to ten on New England also had a pretty easy time in the postseason. They won their divisional round game against the Indianapolis Colts. It's twenty two three and then they won the AFC title against the steelers. Forty one to twenty seven. Bill Belichick Charlie. Weis the offensive coordinator at that time for New England Oakland and on the side. Of course you had Andy Reid calling the plays and Jim Johnson The defensive coordinator at the Blitz Happy Defensive Coordinator one of the big story lines. The the biggest story line going into Super Bowl thirty nine was of course the health of terrel owens who was hurt against the Dallas cowboys a few weeks before the end of the season He had A. He broke his leg on a horse collar. Tackle that has now been deemed illegal because of that hit but as the game started getting closer it started to appear as though Teo Jio would be able to get on the field and Tara loans for the Eagles in two thousand and two thousand four was the difference. He took the eagles from being a very very good team. Urine in your out to an almost unbeatable team That season in fourteen games really was just thirteen games because he was hurt early in that game against the cowboys he caught seventy any seven passes for twelve hundred yards and fourteen touchdowns for the eagles that season for the first time in his career. Donovan mcnabb had a true number one receiver seaver to throw the ball to but the eagles offense performed quite well whether well without Tara loans in the two playoff games but to beat the Patriots it was clear the eagles goals. We're GONNA need him and he managed to get. He managed to get back in time six weeks after surgery to repair his broken right ankle. He was on the the field for the start of Super Bowl. Thirty nine Donovan. mcnabb had his best season. An Eagle in two thousand and four mostly because terrel owens was on the outside and he and mcnabb was outstanding in two playoff wins against the Vikings and the Falcons mcnabb had always struggled in those NFC title game but he played very well against Atlanta Atlanta. One or the other storylines that Freddie Mitchell was running his mouth. He came into the game talking a lot of smack about safety Rodney Harrison telling Harrison that he he was gonna have something for him and then in the game you know Freddie Mitchell caught one pass which late in the fourth quarter and Harrison had Two interceptions as we'll get to here in just Dominica and of course the Patriots were looking to officially become a dynasty. They had beaten the rams had upset. The Rams in the Super Bowl three years before they had failed to get back to the super bowl the year after that. But in two thousand three or just after the two thousand three season they beat the Carolina Panthers and one of the most underrated super bowls in NFL NFL history. And we're looking for their third title in four years. Andy Reid looking for that first title after finally getting the Eagles back to the Super Bowl for the first time since nineteen eighteen eighty so that was the setup as the teams gathered on the field in Jacksonville Florida for Super Bowl. Thirty

"It's God in the fact that I do believe in miracles. The miracles will time inside. That was the thing. And then the other thing was earlier my life is when I got fired from my first coaching position. When I thought I knew everything was about coaching, realize I didn't. The impair Fanie there for me was the fact that I knew that I had really become a better leader when I started personal journey to improve my leadership skills by reading aloud more by getting involved in talking to people that were effective in successful in studying the art leadership of was very significant. I'm not sure I would've ever done that. If a bent like that, where I got fired was very. Some way, right. So what's what do you believe is the world's greatest wound? The greatest won't I believe is that we don't have peace continuing on earth them people are. I love the sea. 'cause certainly so many great people in the world. But with you know, we really got up all be on the same page of how we adopted servant leadership mindset that we're gonna. We're on earth serve, others might nets, right? So where does your fear come from? Where does my feared come from? I have fears like everybody else. I think I'm much better place with myself in the fact that is not that I don't have any fears anymore. I do a much more conscious of got older of being. I've always been fairly health conscious, but now I'm the 'cause I know the districts are against me that I'm not gonna live forever. Although we're over that hill now. I would like to live is long as passably can two things. One that feel good about myself of from a health in a personal thing in that I can continue to live to serve others, help others in really create a better world by new being part of will not. That's unified. So will you ever be satisfied. I think that's a good thing. As long as I think it's it's great in something I started doing a few years ago. I read about all the time and I could never get myself is is to do some type of meditations quietly. I'm really do it almost every day now, but I could never. This is a waste of time to sit quality quietly would realize how powerful it is. Because the sense I've started doing, I think it's helped me a mentally. So I think the key is really just making sure that you know you live life where you're keeping a mindset that you know I'm going to do the best I can read to get a little bit better each day or. So as far as being satisfied? No, I, I never says fight, always wanna get a little bit better. But at this named since I've done more reflected, I am proud of things of accomplish. I think it's okay to do that. But I don't think he should ever stop growing the also. So what's next coach Johnson? Couple things. One. I like to continue to share my message around the country in one of my dreams is to be a global speaker of spoken candidate sidelight to do that. A couple of things I'd like to do is I'm I'm. contemplating strongly writing. Another book. I have a book called the coach miracle that I dated. I'd like to do another book on leadership. And the other thing I'd like to do is I involved some locally with a couple autism organizations in Rochester. One of my dreams would be is to be a real advocate for autism all of the world. Oh, wow. I hope you're definitely putting yourself out there. I think I had shared with you. That's what my daughter does. "How to do that i think jim johnson is a punk we didn't have any licensed pestis any rip the lady but there are a lot of people that work without licensing what i'm saying is i don't know if he meant them harm i think he just wanted to make money cheaply and fast so he went in and said we did it you know he didn't do it right i mean he broke a lot of environmental laws had little kids there could have been nearly injured so we had a tested or she had a tesla was one of the most egregious care contamination ever house was kinda condemned she wasn't allowed to move in or she was told not to until they fixed it but the guy did the work he did every bit of it now i understand what he did he did it wrong and he did it like that what would you do like indicate that wasn't denver but what would you do in a case like operating without a license to deal with the spastics in contaminating should be illegal if you if you look at stuff like that where where they did something wrong is that a tough is that a tough call for you guys are what what are you doing a case like that licensing violation diary facility will lead investigate.
