"Yeah it just was as you said. Perfect administration of how she lost to velocity in straight sets in the same stage. She'd beat her in straight sets this year and I just thought normally normally when Kavita overplays world where she was it feels like there's nothing an opponent can do. Party has tools in again. She blunt to me too. To- There was a there was a rally that not only did she win. I felt she broke his heart. She she ran out wide to a rights and did one of those squash shot of literally off the ground. You feel at the ball is about to double bounce. And she just about gets it and flicks it and then covetable volleyed Balti- lobbed smash party lobbed smash lobbed again clean winner three labs in the in the same points and I just thought that point was was broken really as as a force in the match and I think party remember at that point as a crucial one. She was asked about it in her press conference and she said Yes. I think it was at three two in the first set tiebreak and you said you're mentally this such a big difference changing ends at three three rather than four and just felt like I got it and and really. I don't know if this sounds like a weird thing to say given that she's the world number one but it really struck me today for the for the first time. How on this is for her to win this? She's expected to see. Yeah I would you make the favorite mcgrew say Hallo yes I would. Yes I would but maybe it was today that iphone in my mind because I don't know maybe it's just been so busy with cooled off in Serena and Asarco going out Moog Ruth's form and had it looking good but then I just just today I thought hang on a minute. Parties the world number-one she wanted follows beating all the best players in. She's playing out. It's not like she's just got the number next to her. She's playing like that player. And she's GonNa play against if it Kenan next to defeated on a Six four six four hundred I saw that on. TV before I came in it was actually much closer. Accident Sounds and Jim Jabir had chances wonder whether in a way it might help Kenan to play Jabber before she plays barter interesting just style wise because the not that dissimilar and cannon. She's a little pitbull. She just will not let you have it. No matter I mean Jabber time was the better player in rallies and yet can it keeps going and keeps asking questions and makes you hit another another shot makes you go for line. You probably shouldn't be going for and she eventually extracts errors snow nonsense tennis. Never let yourself at her post-match interview on court slightly uncomfortable because she so matter-of-fact in fact she doesn't turn on any charm machine. That's all that's refined EUBOEA. You are but it was quite comical to what should just go goes through the motions and get the job done and be efficient and right off we go to the next thing. She's not turn ingratiate herself with anyone with a tennis with a personality. She is what she is is an I I love it I really love. I think us she is she was she really is she's us. Yeah she's cool. ooh Witty Service action in round two. What is the weird thing about it? Is it the one well. She must have she must be a problem. Mm Four coaches everywhere. Who the first rule of of read them entry? Tennis coaching is. Keep your eye on the ball right. I mean that is rule one and she the first shot of any rally when she serving. "With your host Bill. Brandy. Nearly half of Americans polled think President Trump is doing a pretty good job in one place that really shines is the economy, forty seven percent say the economy is an excellent or good condition. The Americans are struggling to afford a summer vacation this year. Nine million Americans are skipping out on the summer vacation, about half the group says day-to-day bills are a primary obstacle to bed. Right. But the greatest polling welcome. The bills gang coast to coast, country off the Wall Street radio network. Just like today. Here's, here's what was interesting today. If you listen to the Jim Jabir gathers on the financial TV shows today, they're underwear got all not up when WalMart numbers came all they got so excited. Listen to these dopes the news of the day is walnuts that reported much bettas same store. Sales up three point four percents that with for WalMart is an economic indicator that the economy is doing well, okay. So he's saying WalMart numbers, you're up. That means WalMart's indicated people Connie is doing terrific really people. Can't even take a vacation. Oh here. Listen to this WalMart, not only good numbers today. But good guidance stocks are derivative of the economy for the asked me about the state of the US economy. It's very strong right now. And this is the same guy, it's the same guy Lieberman who said. "Bus podcasts dot com, and you'll get all the patriot links. So yeah. Heck? Yeah. So catherine. Oh my goodness. Well, you were explaining this to me. And I still don't understand what it is. Let's start from the beginning. What's there? No, okay. That's winning opening jeopardy. Average segment of the show. Yeah. We're gonna Jim Jabir a little bit. So that is a really good question because there is a new HBO documentary about this company theranos, there's also a podcast called the dropout. There is a book called bad blood. And I think there's a feature film coming out, basically, we just cannot get enough of their nose as a culture. It's a company that was allegedly pioneering this techn-. Analogy to run diagnostic lab work with just a prick of blood, the thereby eliminating getting your blood drawn with a needle, and you know, eliminating not just like the needle part of it. But also, the, you know, when you go in for a bunch of tests, and they take like a few files in your like, you're taking all that out of me. Cool sign me up. Sally. The sounds like it has agreed end. Where do I throw my money? The thing is is that this technology didn't exist when the founder Elizabeth Holmes was getting a bunch of money for it. And it seems that not only did it not exist. But it was like Niane impossible to bring into the world in the current reality. We live in and it's constraints sciences. Yeah. Yeah. So the thing is that she was misrepresenting what the technology could do and how far long it was. And she was also doing all kinds of. She and her business partner who was also like she was in a romantic relationship with Sonny Bono on. They were like monitoring all the employee communications. And they were like silencing when when employs Email each other. They were or Email anyone to type anything on their computers. They were being monitored. The employees were being kind of like gas lit, and it has like a very like fire festival type of vibe to it. And it's really interesting. I mean, I I mean, I don't know. I like a lot of people are fascinated with. I don't think it makes me like interesting assassinating. But the thing of like a young person who is like who who people experience as a prodigy being like look have this idea. It's going to change the world in fundamental way. Next step, you, give me a huge amount of money. And these people are just like here, you go and Elizabeth homes had this board of people who are like Henry Kissinger was on her board. She had like really really high up people from government, and Eric people very very top notch. People. Listen, not worm milky. Milky right. Exactly what what's weird like Andrea was pointing out because you're watching the documentary on HBO. And by the way, I don't think the documentary on HBO is that good. I would definitely if you wanna like deep dive into theranos..

There was another package that I opened here at work because I had to stop and get something I had to get something to replace something that my brand new puppy devoured. Oh, yeah. Yesterday old Finney what the pit bull terrier part? Well, the puppy has gotten a couple of things actually in the house already. But do you. Remember, I told you I got a really nice phone charger that was super long because I was sick of having a shorter charger cord and this way could like move around the living room and all it was a ten foot core. Those are nice ten foot court, and it was also the outer covering of it, you know, how summer cloth. Yes. You know, what I'm saying or not like not like that plastic vinyl feel it was like the. Fabric feeling it was one of those and was ten feet long. Well, the downside to that is because it's so long. I didn't realize what was going on at the other end of the couch. I didn't hear anything. So I'm sitting there, and I'm working on my phone, right? This is what I was out sick. And I looked to my left not in time. And I see that the dog who is sitting on the opposite end of the couch had gotten the core. And is my fault. Totally my fault had gotten the cord into his mouth, and he was chewing the hell out of it was the plugged in. It was and I was like, no, no, no, no. And I and I get it. I get it away from him. "I'll be talking about some stock and put it up on my charts. You can see those stars. You see what I'm talking about? You know when Powell raised rage. He knew darn well that he should be raising rates, but he didn't care about you or me or anybody else. He just thought if we raise those rates were created illusion. Economy's great at proves. It's great will fake everybody else out and will win the election, then work who did it market tank twenty percent. But here's what I didn't get why didn't one person on these financial shows on TV come out and warn, wait a minute. This market's gonna tank you can't raise rates. In an environment where wages are rising more. It. Just doesn't work. People have no savings. Seventy eight percent of the people were paycheck to paycheck, and you've got to raise rates. No, this market is gonna tank, and why did he have you your your adviser? The person's in charge of your finances. Guys, had your foreign K. Why didn't they set you up? I get with my members to be short short the market. It's unbelievable everybody. Just sat there listening to the Jim Jabir talking about how great the economy is same thing. Again today, you go again a strong economy. Probably a strong market will leave it at that. That's a good way to start a their owning a great strong. How could economies be strong with the banks? You're gonna get killed. Interest rates. Go up. The value of the financial assets or the value of banks go down. Raising interest rates, crushes Bank profits. They know this. But they never said it because investors pull their money out of stocks. Go right down. Interest rates go up now the financial assets, go down the Bank asset values though down the stocks, go lower. And and here's what they're doing. The assumption is you raise rates the bank's gonna make more profits. That's not always the case if you raise rates, how's the Bank, go to make more profits. If when you raise the rates people have to have the right bigger checks on their car loan or credit card loan. They don't have any money left to go. Spend. When you're raising rates. That's a killer. And also the assumption that banks will pay savers a higher rate of interest. Just because rates are going up. That's not the case many times rates go up, and they don't pay the savers any more money. You know that been getting screwed over here. The sabers get screwed out of two hundred and fifty billion dollars a year. So they can subsidize low rates shavers are getting killed. So it's just insane. But yet they're down there. Puerto Rico having a ball and not discussing the problems. We're going to have with social security down the road medic- Medicare down.

"And they started watching 'cause they knew what was going on and the waiter that we always had he had brought me my rain. They had it in the kitchen. And and of course, I asked her to marry me right there in there. And then a whole bunch of people decided they were going to pay for meal may working to pay for it. The people who are offering our man when you the cost of reunion. They were like, we know you're gonna be eating rom for the next month. Yeah. The here we'll help you out. They got a place together right away. It was completely day. No furniture, Nadia mattress until one night. They were just sitting there in their empty apartment. And we're just sitting there were like, we'll do wanna get married list is let's get married. We wanna be with each other forever list. Start out your that's pretty much happened. We went downtown. We her mother. No. And her mother Mets downtown. I had a buddy of mine there in we've found a judge was able to preside over a marriage and. Win. Did you guys write your own vows? Yes, we did write our own vows. But that was a complete failure. We wrote vows. But I don't think that either of red what we'd wrote. I know I did. I just improvised it it was happening so fast. And I just started Jim Jabir later on once walked out of there. He said, you know, just now that we're gonna have wedding later on it's going to be about you'll and will be able to read our vows. So we did that with all of our families, and it was basically more for families because we understood that we kind of took away that moment for them to see getting married are actual wedding was very quick one minute. We were singled the next we walked out of the court area. And we were married their age difference is definitely noticeable and people comment on it. A lot did come up every time we were out because there is a stigma out there in society and we encounter. Her it every single day. Yeah. We'll go to a restaurant and we'll sit down and somebody behind my husband people walking by would be. I'm looking at my husband, those they really loud. I wonder if his wife knows where he's at my husband will have to stand up and be like, yeah. This is my wife if you wanna meet her like she's variety here. I'm not a shy individually team that you know, I must be a mistress or, you know, the situation all wrong doing it get the amount of times that were out needing or whatever to eating, and, you know, one of our servers will ask what my daughter's having to eat tonight. And I'm like, well, you know, what I really don't know because I don't how daughter, but if you referring to my wife, we get that a lot. But here's the thing. Neither of them. Really cares that much. They were so happy madly in love and excited to do all the things that newly married couples do go on a honeymoon decorate their house start having a family. And then. Just four months after they got married. John started feeling sick. Which is really weird for me. Because I never said. It was Carol who convinced him to go to the doctor. I wouldn't paid for my visit. And he ran a checkup on me, and I got home after my visit with him does that midnight. It called us about midnight and told me that I needed to go to the hospital. Stage four gastrointestinal cancer. It's a it's a very Grasset cancer. I don't know how to explain it. It's it's not paint grrrrrreat cancer. But it's just as bad in the numbers for surviving at are just as bad. So that's what I'm.

"The other thing to say about from Jim Jabir is about summer fruit. Yes, you're peaches, your plums. I'm talking about your strawberries on talking about your corn on the cob which is not a fruit, but it's vegetable vegetables are like fruit slightly less sweet time, making tons of naming it. And what I want to say mine in sugar and vodka right there you go. What I want to say about summer vegetable. I mean summer fruits, Catherine. Where are you going with us? The highs are high, but the lows are low. Like for example, I tasted victory at the farmer's market. That's right. I went to farmers market, not barest. We live in Brooklyn and you went to a firm and you believe it how it was delicious. It was transcendent. The taste of it was in the top five century experiences of my life. So we bought nectarines from that purveyor. And the next one I tasted was like a mouthful of mushy sawdust and it was in the top five worst. Like it'd be bottom five where sensory experiences of my life was terrible. The same thing happens recently to me with plums and sometimes it makes me wanna just get a granny Smith apple, which is going to be good. You're around, it's not going to be terrible. It's not gonna be transcendent, but it's, you're gonna get what you expect. But Katherine sometimes. We need to take a risk even if it means that we might end up really disappointed because maybe we won't. Maybe it will be the best peach you've ever had. I learned this lesson in one thousand nine hundred ninety nine when I went to Venezuela, visit a friend who is teaching out there and somebody handed me a fruit as as one is want to do and wonderful people in you, say like some fruit and my life changed, and I've never had fruit like that ever. Again. It wasn't. It may not have an apiece, but it was some sort of peachy or mango kind of thing. And since then, I've, there's never been anything like it because they don't use preservatives and the just the way they grow them and the weather. And so my life was just ruined forever for fruit. I can chase him out. I ever since chasing that high. It is transcendent. So what do you think? Do you think we should all just go for the grand Smith apples or should we take a risk on a on a hand fruit? I try to pair the other day, so disappointed. My stomach, but it tastes like, cardboard. What do you do in that situation? Do you eat it. Like I need the snack or do you just throw it out? So I usually get it at a client's office where they have free food. Okay. I'm going to eat it because it's free. Right? Right. Right. And like I say, money and I want to eat fruit, but it you can taste the difference. He's not a fruit. What's would you rather have a bad piece of fruit or no piece of fruit. It depends on how bad? Yeah. Have you ever opened avocado and all of a sudden everything's black on the inside or when you get served a really under ripe avocado. Yeah. And it's like, why didn't you tell me that you don't have any right by straight, you know, straight up over anyway. We could go on. That's a great question though. Thinking all night, let's think about that. We're very hungry and I need some food in my system. Didn't taste good, but it was good for me. Yeah, either. Yeah, you're gonna eat it, but if I don't have to, I might. I might opt out. Yeah, I guess. I guess my question has some inherent privilege built into it pretty wasteful to throw out something that doesn't taste good. Why winds wrote out this is this is assuming someone's handing, it's me. Yeah, I have been into..

"And a cool gift in the mail tweeted Sally tweet at me at us became Heller. Yeah, Sally, yeah. So we shall we do a little opening Jim Jabir. Let's do it all right away opening Jim Jabir Jabirjabir that we don't have your have echo on that yet, Sally, would you wanna go first or do you want to you're about? My I. I started watching a new TV show that I'm pretty excited about is it would I like it. It's it's called the expanse and it's on the scifi network, but I've been watching it on Amazon prime and it's kind of like if you took game of thrones and battle star galactica and you mush them up and you made a TV show. It's has like a lot of quilt- political intrigue in space, some of its on earth, but a lot of isn't space. That's cool. Like in the future. Yes, I think it's, I can't remember. There's that thing at the beginning of the show where they tell you exactly when it's happening, and it is was to be in the future. But I can't remember if it's like near future or far future. But it's really fun, and my friend high may recommended it. And when we live together, we used to watch a lot of our star galactica into it, and this is it's lake that, but it's a little bit. I feel like it's a little grittier maybe anyway. It's a lot of political intrigue a lot of stuff about. About colonization and people who are indigenous to an area like taking power back from colonizers, that kind of thing. So it's really cool and I think everyone should watch it. It's pretty John e like, I don't know if people will like it. If they're not into like space stuff or Sifi stuff, it's pretty nerdy, but it's pretty fun. There's a lot of classic classic tropes. There's a guy really hunky dude in it who's a hero who high may calls space, John snow, talk. Who he is. So I just wanted to Jim Jabir about it for John. That's been tastic. I'll check it out. Yeah, check it out. Give it a look. The first, at least the first couple episodes I think are free. If you have Amazon prime. I, I have people's passwords things. Yeah. So, hey, I think my Ray similar about TV watching. Yeah, I was a little sick this week, so I went on a Netflix, binge and I love documentaries. So I just went for, I started to watch dirty money. I had to stop going to finish it later because you really have to think while watching it's about a corporations who do very corrupt things. It's gonna make you mad, but it's so well done. And so kind of puts it simply for Lamond understand business terms like what happened or starts off at the Volkswagen car, the one that had the pollution and then they're lying about it. So you watch that? Yeah, yes. Like episode, every episode is another company believe so, yes. So you have to really be watching it. You can't like sort of be in bed, you know, half watching it, not that I would, but you know, you gotta really focus on it. So there's that I did watch the documentary about Newtown. It's called new towns on that flex. They did a really, really good job. It was very sad, you will cry or at least I did, but. I have to say, I thought they were going to 'cause they're following the families and their recovery recovery, but our journey as they the years go by and how they're dealing with the pain. And I thought they were going to touch on the Alex Jones thing in the crisis actors and all the horrible things and the shooter. But they didn't talk about the shooter. They never said his name. They didn't talk about anything like with Alex Jones, they just followed the families. It's beautiful. It's really well done. So then I watched, oh, I watch the w..

"For those Dietz you can tweet it Sally, he tweeted me at Espy k. Heller and yet do all of those things. We haven't announcement to make we do. We have a new release schedule for now for now. Yes, LED wanna for the foreseeable future. Instead of releasing an episode every week, we are going to release an episode once every three weeks because of numerology just getting we, we decided, again, we got our chart done shows in rhetoric. Yeah, the thing is, is that we both have a lot of things happening in our lives and careers, and it is becoming increasingly difficult like to find time even for us to record and instead of trying to shoehorn it in and then move things around and released late or not release. We've. Sided that we're gonna do episodes less frequently, and they will that way we can make sure that they are packed full of great stuff in their delightful and their full length and they come out on time. Yeah. And this is for now, we're going to reevaluate when our schedules change or reflect changes, and we love having co host too. So my goodness, thanks again Hillary for the last episode for jumping in. But you know, we really wanna make sure we're giving you quality good advice and they were able to be present to. I've had a couple of months of situations you are working on a lot of new things. We've been having a hard time trying to meet, and this is something we love doing, and we wanna make sure that we are doing the best for you. So we hope you understand that and thank you head of time. Yeah, we, we, we do, you understand, and we did announce this on Twitter last week and in the Facebook group, and everyone has been really awesome and understanding and has said, really, really nice things. And I really appreciate it as someone who listened like looks forward to. To my favorite podcasts and like with everyone, I love like eagerly counting down the hours till it's released. I know that it could potentially be a bummer. If something that you look forward to is getting less frequent, but all of you guys have handled it just like really nicely and been super kind, and I really appreciate it. Yeah, and they're still a private group if you need some advice and to sort of like weigh in on something is there's also are pretty awesome. Twitter feeds, you and I, we find time to every now and yet the tweets, we tweeden you have some nice ones, just nice, short idea, and it's like boop. Oh, like us individually. I thought you meant like the show. Yes, and, but also you and I cannot, you know, if you miss us going to war, we're great on Twitter. You're okay. That's why I met you is this person's amazing? I mean, mute. The feeling is mutual. Okay, thank you. But you're, you're, I forget what it was today, but you had several lovely one. Something about doing meeting with a financial planner and making plans play video game adulthood. Is very complicated. Yeah, that sounds great. It was a great day made some made some plans for my financial future and then played mortal combat with my brother, what's not, what's not to like that. Data's adulting. That is how it's done, Catherine until you differently. Hey, listen, I think we should get into opening Jim Jabir then let's do it. Yes. Alright, opening Jibril Jabber solicit, you wanna go first because Sally, this is a big deal is it is mine. Oh, no, no, I didn't conduct an interview if only the amazing. No. So this is about something I read in the New York Times which because Catherine really believes in me and my talents, she thought, I think maybe that I wrote this thing about stock about. So there's this interview with the cast of arrested development in the New York Times, and I was just reading it for he came over and it's just so enraging because basically so it's not with the entire cast..

"Believe this i'm curious if the fed would be willing to tolerate in inverted yield curve we continue to see these spread between the two year in the tenure tighten even with longer term yields coming up since the beginning of the year this idea amick that has typically preceded recessions and would likely to see shortterm rates come up as the fed continues to increase rates so i'm just curious if you guys have discussed that if you'd be willing to push back against that if that's a dynamic you'd be comfortable with i think it's true that yield curve tended to predict recessions if you look back or many cycles but a lot of that was just situations in which inflation was allowed to get out of control and the fed had to tighten and then that put the economy into recession that's really not the situation we're in now so i don't know that that's i don't know that i don't think that recession probabilities are particularly high at the moment any higher than than they normally are political speech anytime that you have a ten year treasury yield when it's at two point eight and you have the two year treasury yield and it's at one point eight and as two year treasury bills are climbing from one point eight to two to three the closer it gets that two point eight that means we're getting ready for a recession all we had yesterday with jim jabir all we had was a political speech jesse all lies yesterday we'll be right back with the truth want more information on this show who fills gain dot com or give them a call at eight seven seven six hundred.
