I've come back around want to make. I'm glad that you have brad. You know on the show we like to play. You know we can be on both sides of things like if one of us is in love with something like sister dean for example. I think of sister. Jean she will. You know we'll just say that just so we keep the world for brad. Brad took my coach out. He literally played the best basketball game of his entire existence and then ended carolina basketball. Is i know it. In roy williams retired so like there's a level of me that like i don't know if i could be around brad. You know what. I mean like headbutted him in the chest at some point. Yeah so. I'm happy that he's taking care of you and i'm happy to hear that he's doing so great but i'm also happy that i wasn't there Because i don't want i don't want to cause friction between our relationship and busca brad because like you said he's never gonna leave college basketball. Roy at i said how does it feel to basically roy williams career that you you went nuts against roy and he said An roy said the game has passed me by. I gotta hang it up with brad. Davison is torture my team. He was so nonchalant about tate like he didn't even really good answer. He was just like yeah. That was pretty cool. Wasn't and that was a like that. If i if i were recorded that it would have cut you so much more than him talking shit at i you know because he was just like. That's pretty cool. Yeah that was. That was a good like i. I really enjoyed that game. That was a lot of fun for mayor. My mind where it's like. Yeah what do you have. A twenty eight twenty. So that was a big takeaway. The other wad was that yeah brad. Never leaving he. This man is an does not like a. It's not a joy nine ju cunningham since he had twenty nine points against north carolina tournament. Oh my gross. It's not a joke. Tony back me up on the she raved about this veggie pizza she had delivered to her room here at the beautiful Grand Travers Resort and Spa. And you said it was homemade, And it was one of the best pizzas you ever had. Wow. Caroline Rizzo, PR and Matthew Bryant, general manager would love to hear that they were out working, so I doubt they did, but we should let them know that's good news. That's really good news. I wish I would have known that last night. Uh, Tony Butler said, I wish I would have known that last night. You've heard his talk about Dana. We love Dana and have had a relationship with Dana for a long time. Never better than when we've had Jim Cam Ziska says Chairman and CEO and, of course, Jeff Cole, the head of communications has done a marvelous job for them for as long as I can remember, there's a new guy. On the block came in February. I think February of this year so he is really a new guy. He is a fellow graduate of the University of Michigan with a master's in business administration from Northwestern University. So he's done pretty well for himself and Byron Foster comes in as Dana's new president of light vehicle drive systems. Which happens to be data incorporate its largest business unit. Byron Foster. I'm glad we're meeting even if it's via the phone. Good morning. Good morning, Paul. W great to be with you this morning. Thanks for having me Well, it is our pleasure, and it's always great to meet a fellow Michigan graduate. In your case, you've done it better even by stepping up to a master of business Administration degree from Northwestern University and you've made a name for yourself. Where did you come from? Well, I'm a Detroit later but then around the automotive space, my entire my entire life. My My mother built cars and my dad sold them so I was destined to be a part of this great industry. And I've had a great run at Johnson Controls, which became adamant, and now I'm at a great company here and Dana and you mentioned Jim that the at the opening and what a great leader and culture that he built here at Dana You know, we talk about people finding a better way, and I tell you, it's more than just the motto. It's really kind of part of the fabric of who Dana is, and I couldn't be more excited to be part of the Dana family. Well, that's good to hear. Of course, you know that we're here at the management briefing seminars this week, and certainly electrification has headlined a number of the sessions here. How How is this playing a role in shaping day NAS business Well, you know, it couldn't be a more exciting time to be in the industry. Um, this transformation that's taking place. Right in front of our eyes. And I tell you, Dana is, uh, well positioned to be a key player, um, in this transformation. You know, we're really in a unique position. Paul, Um, in that we served multiple, uh, kind of end markets if you will, and supply mobility products from everything from our SUVs and pickup trucks, too. Agriculture material handling construction, mining equipment, etcetera, So we have a broad portfolio of products and we are electrified, electrifying those products. As we speak. Over 80 programs across these segment. And we have 20,000 vehicles. With over a billion customer miles with electrified products on them, so we couldn't be more excited to be on the forefront of this transformation and leaving the way and partnering with our customers. To find the solutions, uh, to help make this transformation happens. Iran. Foster, with his president of Dana incorporate its largest business unit, like vehicle drive systems, and one of the other things that's being talked about a lot of peers sustainability. We hear a lot of speakers talk about do we have for a while Sustainability very important. In all industries. What actions would do your company Dana be taking toward being more sustainable. Yeah, that's a great question and again if you go back to the culture and the values of this company, uh, sustainability is right at the forefront. We want to be a leader in this space. And obviously it starts with the products that were supplying because that's going to help the mobility industry become more sustainable. But when we look internally at our operations and the things we can do To become a more sustainable company. We've set some very aggressive goals. So first. We're proud of the fact that our greenhouse gas Is down 21% since 2016. And we've made a commitment that We will be down by 50%. In the very near future. So we we have cascaded those goals to all of our manufacturing operations we have over 500 projects. That are being driven by our teams every day. To help make sure that We are becoming a more sustainable company, so it's a huge commitment on our part is something we take very seriously and our teams around the world are committed to helping us make that happen. And and and though it may not have seemed like it from the beginning, becoming more sustainable happens to turn out to be pretty good business and in the long run Profitable for the company and for the environment. Absolutely. Um, it is absolutely good business. Are investors expect it? Uh and we find that Not only is it doing the right thing for the environment, but it helps us become more cost efficient. And ultimately more sustainable company. I gotta we're out of time. Maybe 30 seconds for the quick answer this weekend, an exciting one for Dana and the Jeep enthusiasts among us like my daughter, Sophie, thanks to Mark Smith Camps, Death Camp Auto family. She's got a jeep and loves it. What's going on real quick. And absolutely exciting weekend jeeps passed into in Toledo, the 80th anniversary We encourage. Everybody had come out. It's a great family event for everyone. And Dana will be there proud in all of our jeeps, along with our customer, Great brands. Great.

"I want talk about that money match up but I need more time for that and again. jets Browns Monday doesn't seem that interesting well it always is with America's team and they're gonna bounce back. but above and beyond that you've got the fight within the fight about within the battle you've got Odell Beckham who says that his new teammates are now saying that Greg Williams was telling his players back when he was a member the giants to take him out a preseason game. so del V. Greg del V. triple G. O. del V. the triple G. army who sang non now that's not what it's all about that's how he coaches that's how he teaches at Saudi preaches. to which I say hand and. come on man. the guy was suspended for an entire year for his role in bounty gate at that time it seemed like you would never get anywhere near the end it all over again. but but I will look at this very objectively and laid out for a little bit later on. again. I'm not a doctor I'm not a coach I'm not a GM amada scout. I never played the NFL I never played college football. I never played football. I don't think I need any these things you know the camera is not right. so it is not right what is the issue the team says he's fine cam says it's not a physical issue. right but is not hitting as targets he can't run the ball they don't use him on fourth and short near the goal line with the game on the line. so if he's white and he's fine what the hell is it. this email says pap first off cam is healthy he just sucked last night he's got eighty percent of the blame the other twenty percent goes to nor I know the QB couldn't complete a twelve yard out route on air but damn nor. hams Shane bone is three yards long if you're six foot five two hundred forty pound quarterback can't throw it least running him or use him as a legit decoy I watched the first half that came from my couch in that stupid Madden view and I could see the box which is loading the box sitting in that one high safety look maybe makes in some screens or some five yard rouse since camp accuracy limit is ten yards Jeff from the nine one nine were having to wait three extra days to see the next path is the bottle. six point is if the guy can't throw it I can't throw it at least let him run it yeah we obviously can't run it either. that's wise rush for a total of minus two yards on the year this is why not only did he not run it. on that final play you don't even touch it. is that right. your ran smack cam Newton's problem is simple he just can't hit his targets signed Meghan Trainor trying to consume under five thousand calories per day. Casey New Hampshire not funny. not funny. so Carolina fan again. cam has been one of the great do or threat quarterbacks ever. like I've never seen a specimen like this guy ever. but if he's not using his legs. hi can get it done. all this and can last I looked like an old thirty let's not forget nine years in numerous injuries a tall rific pounding. I mean I'm not saying the cameras ever been the most accurate thrower but last night he was alarmingly inaccurate the entire night. he spent the entire off season we having that throwing shoulder and the accuracy seems to be as bad or worse than it's ever been how can you not be terrified but we saw last night I'm I'm gonna say that their into and seems to start into don't make the postseason because they did start into a few years back and they won the division I'm not saying that I'm just saying based on what I saw last night your sis might be over before it even starts. thank you can we put this on the White House you can't put it on the tight end. or any of his weapons I mean they got their separation right they're doing their job. now if you want to kill his line that's fair but when was the last time that that offense of line was a true strength of that team. meet cam was missing guys were wide open last night. last I watching him did he even lead to any of his White House was he hitting these guys in stride at all. in again and these guys out there doing what he can he is tough there's like almost nothing back I won't try to play through. it goes back to what I said earlier I don't care how big you are I don't care how strong you are I don't care how tough you are even if you're Superman six five to forty a specimen that that game is never seen the likes of it's going to catch up to everybody including that guy the pounding the brutality sketch taken a lot of hits. so for a lot of injuries it's going to catch up to everybody even a guy that big that's wrong that's off even a guy that the game is never seen before even a former MVP. I don't want to say he's a shot fighter. but I must say he's not what he was. and if what the team says is right and he's not hurt then this is who we is. it Jim cam Newton is broken down great fill out this maintenance intake form so much to get back to you in three to six months sign up Robert does Mahdi. "If you'd like let's go to stuff in Ann Arbor. What mustapa? Well, you gave me a good, man. Man. I think. My my fellow African brother m b. He's about to go down big game. Crazy, man. Don't start start. I look at I believe you Mustafa Huma, man. But I will tell you one game does not make a main, okay? Every time. I watch the guy played I just about to now. Yup. The. And I get wait a minute. I gave him I gave him his do, man. Have to deal with the guy for a long time. See I don't think he got those kind of years. The businessman. I don't think he dude. I don't think eight he's not. He he likes to play too much likes to get out there rabble rouse. He I mean, I get it. He's having fun. But you gotta take take craft seriously. Get gave me a distraction everywhere with social media. You know, you can't compare. I mean nowadays guy the way about you. All you know, you're coming up everywhere. I mean, everybody talks happens because they have the platform and everything. So I mean, he's not out there. They talking. No, you're right. And you know what? Hey, I'm going to give him his due. He bald he bawled out yesterday. Yeah. Evolved out yesterday. And like I said, I would give him the credit that he he is do, but I would not mention his name in the same brand as Wilt Chamberlain Kareem shack. I wouldn't what's the guy's name Georgia, Mike, and I wouldn't even give him George Bikindi right now. Every time. I call you our. Remind you that so. You do that. I would you know, what as bad says book the best teams of fighting right now in the east those teams, the Celtics and the Milwaukee buck whoever wins that we'll see what Joe can do. Okay. All on. To me. I'll go right. Right tackle. 'cause 'cause he's young. No. Because to me. The guy to Wayne new and Ryan, and then and resin they can only get better for what they will allow healthy. Last year. They will put it enough. A little better. But when they were last year, they're probably going to be the best full unit in the big ten now, the only possession back all is that right DACA position. Because that's a mystery right now, we don't know we got some saying he got the job. Up to par to fall in mecca compete union in five minutes. Right. So I'll be I mean, really looking for one. I'll be ready to see you don't mind who is job. I just wanna win the job play to the level. You know, then the. Guys played by Hugh, if you could get out me man, look out. That's it. No, I can agree with that. I can agree can give five guys play together at a high level. And which look I don't know when it's going to happen. But I think it's going to happen for these guys. I'm hoping by the second game. I'm hoping I'm hoping about a third game. I think when they get up the Madison, and they're in that they're in that. And I'm gonna take this game on FOX at night. Can be eight o'clock kick, and they go out there or seven seven thirty or whatever, you know, how FOX likes stagger their their their games, and it's going to be a night game. And you know, that crowd is going to be going while they're gonna be jumping around and doing all kinds of things and as long as they're unshakable. Yeah. And they take it to Wisconsin. Like they did last year and then Jimmy last. But not least though I mean, I know you love your men, Chris Jim you play with him. I love the guy because you know, I used to go after Marcus all the time. Kidding? You for me? Because I mean is there for him to get it done? If was going to be really ugly is okay. Wait. What's what's getting it done? Is. It is it is it is it Indianapolis or bus or is it is it playoff. What getting it done? You don't consort a playoff? I mean to me what you can control is win you'll conference, okay. If you do that. I mean data by feed out, I leave with that. Because you know, it's not it's not exact time. How can choose deems? You know, we win the confidence and beat everybody was supposed to be at home here. This year. And because of one tumble down the we'd all get picked. I kill with that. But conflict algae, she'll as no way that we gotta get this year. So that's that's your. So gimme wins and losses. We got twelve games Levin. One tended to. No. We don't do that home too often. I mean, Jim Cam, he I guess we lost four games at home. Michigan state fate. I guess so. Wisconsin game I loss, and that's about it. Wow. You got eleven one right now. Going to go into the victim championship. And then it's the fate of them going to anywhere higher is on on the committee. Yeah. I mean with one loss. I mean, if I leave with that. I mean that is time for us. Get the conference and position ourselves in that discussion last Sunday to seize them. You know what? I mean, if my man don't get I don't get it onto Shumate. It's not gonna it's not good though is not going to put it be. Not going to be putting out is. Okay. So if. When I'm saying to you is stop. I know I'm trying to put you in a corner. But when I'm saying to you is not getting it done means not getting it to Indianapolis. Right. Jamie. If we don't if we don't convert what would you say this year I fail season. Yeah. Talking about gay failure failure. Okay. But remember you got eight players coming back on offense and six back on defense is no team more kind of in the big ten that Michigan this year. Not zeal. You know? So we have everything in place to win out got. You think all that talent just left Ohio State after last year there coasting on? No. But they came out. They not all over us. And we got give home like I say time. These giving the ace and the Homebrew. There's there's a lot of things I agree. Having them at home is the advantage. But if you don't think Ohio State is just as talented as we are just because they lost their coach, they still have just as much as we Jamie. My my crazy. The talent talent they've been lucky beside nineteen ninety seven that shortly after I came here. I mean, I didn't know a lot of anyway, every time when we gloss. Don wise, the game was in Columbus. Seven listen, number two. Eighteen spot whatever and lasts Hughes. These these officiate at I remember commenting and have the game at home. What are we going to get him? She. Voice. I hear you you believe and we need to. But the thing about it is H. Look, we need it. Look we needed that win in Columbus last year. I have to tell you frankly at the time we were the better team. But we didn't show up as the better team. Look, look a man told me this coach me. The best of you is going on the road and winning. Laugh time Michigan play a high state would a could about what a quarterback eat better or equal to their quarterback was three and we beat them since. Everytime. Played. I was Stephen trip then I Robinson. I mean, we have not have a senior quarterback this good in a long time the game played out. Okay. Offensive line. Defense. I mean is it. So no more excuses. Not not an issue. Okay. I mean if you win. You gotta get him. Now. Cook next week. All right. Have a great weekend agents lay down the garland. Yeah. A little bit the one the only quarterback they came to Miami. Because Chad Chad Henny was you know, had some he had some really good games. I think almost every year he threw for over three hundred yards against state. Just couldn't win any of the games. He played well, which again, you know, staff was saying, I can't remember the last time we had a better quarterback than two thousand three which you know, you can make the argument which add. But no, he's I mean, he's right. It's hard to point anything of those of all these games out of all those years and say that we we could have we had the better this. We should there are some instances, but not very many. Yeah. So I, you know, I think most Michigan fans have the same sentiment as Mustafa. No more. No more excuses. Is it because they're either as part of it? I get he saying the game here game here. And he was he reverberated that the game is here this year. That being said Pickens last year we did. But like you said, what's the other difference? What if urban was still there people would still say that there's not an excuse to lose that game? But it's more understandable because they have if not a top two top three coach in the country. This year with him being gone. The game is at home. There's you know in most Michigan fans. There's no more excuses sitting where we are right now a hundred thirteen days before the game. There's no more excuses. We don't know what the teams will look like at that point. Once we get to that point in the year. I agree with I would say probably I'm hoping to be ten in one going into that game would be nice to be undefeated a bit too much. It's extremely tough to go undefeated Jamie, you, I mean, you know, that better than most people playing on some good teams playing on some not so great teams. But just you know, how difficult it is. You know, we have one maybe two teams year that go undefeated in college football. Right. So to put that pressure on him. I don't think so I'm not ready to do that just yet but going into that game. And then I mean, I I agree with Mustafa. There's no more excuses to lose that game. That's been the case for the past five six years. We can't lose that game anymore. There are no excuses. But. It's happened. So we just again K care business that being said what if we lose that game? What if we lose? What if we don't that game? And we lose a chance of going to Indianapolis people are gonna freak out, Jamie. People are going to lose it even if both teams are undefeated. And they win and they go it India Napoli, and we don't people freak out beating Notre Dame beating Michigan state going undefeated in Alaska, we do not win that game. There will still be a part of the Michigan fan base that calls for coach Harbaugh said they'll say we can't beat Ohio State, and we can't we can't win the big ones when we need to and we can't achieve that. A what some people consider somewhat modest goal of winning the big ten, you know. I'm just going to say this. We're getting close to Michigan's gotta make a decision on Jim Harbaugh resigning him or letting his contract play out. It's a big year. I'm just saying it's a big year. You know, and I'm not the I want him. I want him the succeed. I want him to do. Well, but it's a big year. It's a Hugh it's momentous year. I mean, we're we're we're year five now. Season five, and.

But as always always looks like he just stepped out of a men's magazine dressed to the nines as they say, and he looks that way at seven forty seven in the morning and at seven forty seven tonight. He'll look that way. You know, these guys walk around as if somebody has just pressed them, they've ironed all their clothing. I by the way, walk out of my house. And it's as if if I got dressed in my closet, I rolled on the floor. To go out the door by the time. It gets to the door. I looked at as if I've been up for twenty four hours in those clothes. I don't know what it is. I just I don't know how they get that. Look, I don't know. It's it's something though. I mean, the fact that he's slim in shape and all the rest of it that has nothing to do with it. I'm sure anyway. I could like say like Shakespeare encounter. Did you? Do you reconcile anything before he passed away? No. It was a weird one. Really because I'm it was probably about nineteen eighty seven and a mate of mine. I can't remember what the story, but I know that he was really loud. God exam. Got a thing. Like scape? This. And a never went away. And I think I think that kind of bothered in a pit. But the funny thing is when he sat down he said, we had an album called gross out and vote I two hours, and I think that brilliant and all this, you know, that not ball. So it was all very convivial and respectful from both of us, you know. But then. Yeah, just yeah. It was the the the the dollar in the way, sadly, you know. Jimmy, Cameron himself. Jim, Cam just loves water loves the ocean goes down the Mariana trench every Saturday. That's like things. Some of us go the driving range. He just gets in his little simmer submersible and goes down. There loves the water. So thank you. Mr Cameron the abyss which is his first underwater movie. I think that that make the list at all, but because I don't think I've really seen it or haven't seen him forever, but apparently it's solved one. It's really great. There's one scene where fuck I remember. I think it's is the main guy in it. He needs to go down at a super high. High pressure gradient. So the pump is helmet full of amniotic fluid moves babies, brief as a baby or whatever. And it's really gross because he dies and then comes back to life with amniotic fluid. It's great movie though. It's a good point because this is the crescendo of the podcast. Okay. Water in movies and episode about water movies would not be complete without mentioning the man who is in love with the ocean. I hope Jim Cameron doesn't listen to this podcast and now get the idea in the urgency to release his water. Avatars, Kathy, just the kids, they love water, water, movies. The reason why he, he finally gets go with production. Thanks Donnie. That was it was it was a pleasure being on. I'm still brutally over and still at the office so go, I don't log off pretty civics. We did. We did a great. Obviously. I think many people saw who listen, what did a great west Andersen version of you making popcorn Rangoon's that was fun..

"Lines of dialogue here and there that are just like that could have been cut in the movie would be better this movie does i would even go so far as to say an excellent job depicting women in an action blockbuster especially considering the air that it came out in the mid eighties ripley is in the movie because they need her she's the only one who can provide the information that they need to get their mission accomplished right without her the movie cannot take place right also yes she's level headed she's smart she's a good strong leader and the other female characters the fact that they're in the movie at all is shouldn't be surprising but it was right but i do like that it attempted to be more inclusive than most action movies especially of this era and that those female characters are generally pretty well developed interesting yes i'm going to give it a four nipples and all four of my nipples go to the queen alien cool i'll give it for as well obviously we don't need to tell her audience that actors of any gender in brown phases absolutely unacceptable and it just it it sucks because that casting choice to some extent like lessens the impact of what is a very well written character yeah that pisses me off but for all the reasons you said the fact that this movie cannot the plot kent move forward without its female characters which even in action movies where there are capable women present the presence of those women isn't necessarily critical to the core action of the movie taking place that's not the case for this and that is amazing and also shouldn't be amazing right yeah i think that jim camped this one pretty pretty damn well yes i think it was a solid jim cam i still think it's so fucking boring i'm sorry it was very long and vaginal imagery will get me in the seat but the fact that it's a it's a real blue and orange in those that's calling every movie i don't like from now on yeah it it was never going to be for me but those are the way it treats his female characters is by and large pretty exceptional so four nippy he's i'm gonna toss to slippery little newt and then i'll give the other two packs ten coup sorry sigourney no nips from me yeah wow that was a surprising turn of events just now listen rest and paxton andrew had to leave before we could get his lung showed media i'll play it yeah you can find andrew t online at andrew t i believe across all platforms it is just his name the last name is spelled t i like the rapper and you can also listen to his wonderful podcast yo is this racist highly recommend yes indeed so thank you andrew t for being year hey thanks you thank you forever and you can follow us on social media as well at bechtel cast on instagram twitter facebook and subscribe to our maitree on you will get two bonus episodes every single month and we appreciate all of our matrons so much shutout to our matrons i've think in conclusion don't see deadpool two mostly mostly okay by this is.
