"I hear that. I don't hear that very often with white coaches. I hear that a lot with African Americans. Like, you know, he did an interview. Willie Randolph was former baseball player. I was told, you know, Willie just doesn't interview that well. Okay. After a while, you understand how to interview. You understand what the questions are, what they want when you go in there, but the fact that Eric Vienna may have to go to another team to prove that he can be a head coach at age 53. And I've said it before, not every coordinator deserves to be a head coach, or will be a good head coach. You might deserve, that's not fair. You might deserve it, but that doesn't mean you're good at it. I didn't think Charlie Weiss or Romeo Cornell were going to be good head coaches. They were good coordinators with the Patriots. I don't know if Josh McDaniels is a good head coach with the Raiders. But he was a good coordinator, a great coordinator with the Patriots. And Eric Vienna might not be a good head coach. But I think he deserves the opportunity to be a head coach. Jim Caldwell is another name. Jim Caldwell did a great job. Look at what he did in Detroit. Obviously what he did with the colts. He had a great team that he took over. Jim Caldwell is now Frank Reich's assistant coach in Carolina. He's not going to get a head coaching job again. What the Texans did with minority head coaches. Nobody wanted the job because they knew there were going to be sacrificial lambs. And that's what happened. Both of those coaches knew. I mean, lovey Smith ended up winning a game that they didn't want them to win. It's like, what are you doing? Well, he wants to win. He knows he's not going to keep the job. Once you get a little bit better, hey, now we're going to bring in somebody else. So that was the topic of conversation I had yesterday afternoon with somebody who works for the NFL. And I just said, you got to help me understand this glass ceiling that we have here. And we're going to give everybody an opportunity. All he doesn't interview that well. You know, he didn't get the credit. Whenever there was a great play in the Super Bowl, they always focused on Andy Reid. Like if there'd be something where mahomes did something and there was some kind of new formation they'd go to Andy Reid after the touchstone. When do they go to Eric B enemy? Like when there's a

"Hey, we're feeling it today. We knew it was coming though. It was a mess. We could have been in Virginia. We could have been stuck on the highway for 24 hours. I know a lot of people ran out of gas. That is crazy, man, but that's the time of the year that we're here for. It's that time of year. Now, we've been feeling good. It was 50° for Christmas. Everybody was feeling good. Global warming all that stuff is good, but the flip side of the global warming is when the ice and all the other crazy stuff come because it's raining when it's supposed to be snowing. You call it global warming, I call it weather. Just call it weather. And in certain places in the country, you get four seasons of it and we're in it right now, but man, like it's just funny how yesterday you show me the baby cashmere. And today I was like, I need to be wrapped in that. If you missed the baby cashmere segment, I actually put it on my Instagram because it was that funny. And it was that real. And it was that luxurious, by the way. But it was truthful. Everybody that heard that the first time thought I was joking and baby cash, everybody talking about it. You ain't a baby cash. Yeah, you know what? There is such a thing. It's set it on the tag. It's like cutting hair of whatever the cashmere comes from. It's like cutting the hair with a young. You know what I'm saying? Good hair. We know that good hair before our hair gets coarse and we start dying it all the time. It's the good hair. Yeah, it's the good hair. Hey, 8 and 8 say ESPN 8 and 8 7 two 9 three 7 7 6 is the number if you want to be part of barnhart nation of the Dr Pepper call him live. What do you mean if you want to? You know you want to be part of the Bart hon nation of Dr Pepper Colin. We want you to be part of that. There's no doubt about that. ESPN nation is presented by Dr Pepper college football seasons here. Oh, it's bull season. The fans are hyped. We turn to glory fans about Dr Pepper the one fans deserve. We haven't talked much about that, but we will. The redemption tour, the redemption tour is coming. See, I'm in Alabama guy, but there's like a part of me that's sort of like underdog. Come on Kirby, smoking Kirby just get to that point, right? Where he just keeps running into the wall. Like how many times does Lucy gonna pull the football away from him? See, I tell you what. The perfect analogy of the perfect, would you compare dying with it? I don't know. I'm making it worse. The perfect movie that wraps up how curvy, smartest feeling. It's Friday, next Friday. Okay. When deebo gets out the car, pulls up on pops. Hit the hood of the car. Get out the car Craig. This is the rematch. You know what I'm saying? I'm tired of getting beat up by you. You knocked me out but I bet you I'm ready for you now. This is the rematch. Get out. Yeah, man. And there's no question. There's no question me being from Michigan. It is no question that these are the two best teams in the country because Cincinnati and Michigan was a joke sandwich. I mean, I was ready to get the hell up out of there. Like quarter one, I was like, nope, no chance. You know how you say you're supposed to say, you never supposed to say no chance, no chance. Listen, they kick Michigan ass so bad that heart boss is saying, hey man, the Oakland, the Raiders want me. You know what I'm saying? Because that's spoken hot up in there. I finally get past Ohio State, not you know what? No, I just sent me back to the Raiders. If there was ever a time to leave, it's the year that you finally beat, right? Beetle House state. You finally get to the college football playoff. You know, like that you have that. Now, obviously. A little leverage to us a little bit. He gave mad money back, right? But if there's a raiders, why wouldn't you? I tell you what, if you're the New York football giants, why wouldn't you? I mean, if that's the case, if you're going with Harbaugh, then what's wrong with Rex? They're the same people. They are. As far as attitude, toughness and stuff like that, they're the same people. Rex is just more on the defensive side and you can say, maybe his expertise is the quarterback. The offensive side. Yeah, they're the same people. I don't get why people have given up on Rex Ryan so much. And I know, listen, you can say I'm a Homer, but Rex isn't old. You know what I mean? If Jim Caldwell is getting his third shot, getting another opportunity and getting called by teams, while when you want a guy like Rex, when you see where the game is trending, we said that we thought that the game was trending to air in the ball out and all that stuff. Yeah. Who's the guys that we fear the most? These teams just running his football. Who's the ground and pound king? Rex Ryan. Who's the defense dragged out like right now the most dangerous team is Tennessee in Indianapolis and people think that, you know, San Francisco is a dangerous team. And by the way, how did Philadelphia turn their season around? Running the ball every damn time and not letting their young quarterback throw it at all? That's what it is, right? It's that same thing. I can have a young quarterback, so I'm not paying him a ton of money. And I could have him in a situation where if I have a great offensive line and I have running back, you don't even need great running back. Good ones, right? How fresh legs? Yeah. And isn't that something about the NFL? Like, you can have your Aaron Rodgers. You can have your Tom Brady's. You can have you Patrick Mahomes. Like that. Those guys, they're special. Yeah, you can't find them. You can't find them. But there's ten out of 32 of them. Yep. And then after that, it's a lot harder to win. So it's amazing to me how there's so much of that chase for the golden ticket quarterback when the other way to go when you don't have it. Look, Cleveland has that formula. They do. But they just don't do it enough. They have the two headed running back. They had the offensive line and instead and I can't get over that. We talked about it yesterday. How every time baker through the ball on Monday night, Peyton Manning looked like he was going to throw up in his mouth. It was like, oh, we're going to throw it again. Okay. Well, we're going to throw it again. He's a quarterback. They want to throw the football. These are these guys are dumb. But hey, like you say that about Rex and I do think that if you're an NFL team and you need a little spark. Yes. He's good for your market. He's obviously a good front man. He's really good at it. But it's also, I think the thing that hurts Rex is that he's become and I'm not going to, when I say he's become a character, I don't mean it in a negative way. It's just that there's a persona about him now. A person is loquacious, right? He's out there. Everybody wants their mute point type of guy that guy that's going to be monotone. There's going to be Bueller, Bueller, Bueller, Bueller. A little bit more sizzle tonight. It's going to fire up your team, which you know first. And your fanbase and your fan base fit, but also somebody that can put together a tremendous staff. He can call he can put together a great defensive staff. He's worked with Bill Callahan. He can go get a Bill Callahan to do your offensive line, give him a crap load of money. He's the offensive line coach for right now for Cleveland, right? So Rex has coached with some of the best minds that are around right now. He can put together a tremendous staff. I find that interesting, Mandy. What I was trying to say though is the thing that precedes him is the personality persona, the bombastic, you know, takes and reactions and all that stuff. And unfortunately, what we are for what we forget because it's been a bunch of years. Is that what you know, again, what you were just talking about is the network, the connections, the system, the belief, the understanding, the lineage, right? It's in his blood, all the things that are very important to coaching. A U coach a game and you're not going to get out coach. You're going to be prepared for everything. You have a defense for everything. You've seen almost everything, right? You have all that. And so that part of it, I think, gets overshadowed because all we really know now is the personality, right? The personality, but it's maybe just going to work against them, maybe not. Maybe there will be a team that finally says, hey, listen, I need a guy like this. Maybe there will be. Because we shall see. We know that. Let's look at the guys that have been hired in recent years, right? We look at the young guys, right? We look at the Zach Taylor if we look at the Joe judges, you know, it's been about 50 50 as far as them being ready for the moment, right? You know, the Matt nagy's guys that are ready to be able to lead men, right? Rex comes in no matter what with the level of credibility. Jim Caldwell comes into a room with a level of accountability and credibility, right? And so when you go out and you get one of these college coaches or these first time coaches, you spend about 5 months before the team even believes in them. And then you have to get to the season and see how he responds to adversity. Right now, Joe judge has a respondent to adversity well at all. You need somebody that's been there, that's been in the biggest market in the world and slung arrows because he came in and he threw a rock at the giant, right? He threw a giant ether rocket Goliath. The first day he threw a rocket Goliath, like we ain't here for that. And guess what? He went toe to toe with Goliath too, right? And listen, and we know at this point what he went to war with. The thing is, a lot of these job openings, they have something to offer to Rex, that he has never had. And that is a true franchise quarterback. If he goes to Rex goes to the Redskins. I'm sorry, if he goes to the Raiders. It's the best quarterback Rex has ever had. If he goes to who else has an opening, if he goes, he goes to Jacksonville. Best quarterback he's ever had. Like he's never had what we would consider a franchise quarterback. He had Tyrod Taylor in Buffalo. How about Minnesota? Minnesota, that would be the how about Minnesota? That would be the best man. Could you imagine what he would do to those with those defensive weapons that he has? With a rented game, like Dalvin cook yeah. What? Dalvin cook, Dalvin cook Thomas Jones. Thomas Jones is a great running back. A good running back, right? Dalvin cook is more special than Thomas Jones. Man, come on, son. Come on, you see people, people see sometimes perception is reality in this league. And you know, you see the same guys get recycled. And he's a guy that you would at this point because he's had two jobs now? He's a guy that would be considered a retread. Yeah, but listen, he got fired from buffalo. Buffalo, and he was 8 and 8. He didn't have a losing season in Buffalo with a manual. What's the quarterback name from Florida state? EJ Manuel. EJ Manuel. Yeah. I hear you, man. And I know your guy. There's going to be Jon. I'm talking about Jim Caldwell as well. And you love Jim carville you brought him up many times. His name has come up with Jacksonville at least. Look, this is a conversation that we will have when Monday comes week from now. Right? Because you know what that day always is. That's the day when you didn't have to call boss Adams before that. Yeah. Maybe this week bar diamonds is who's gonna get fired. Yeah, that could be all right, on this episode of our Saddam. Is that a predicting the games for week 18 because it's really not a lot of yeah, you start predicting what happens on Monday morning. But meanwhile, meanwhile, what happens in the final game of the season for the packers is Aaron Rodgers playing because he wants to play. Yes. You know, he made it pretty clear. This is the right call. Now explain that. Why is it why should if I'm the packers and he's got a bad toe and you're playing the Lions and they bite kneecaps and you've already got the top seat. You don't need to play this game. Why am I not wrapping him in bubble wrap for two weeks and getting ready for the divisional round? Why? So I've probably won just as many, by the way, this is straight talk about street talk wireless. Sorry, good. I'm in the middle of the pack as far as. Guys who have more road playoff victories. I'm proud of you. I bet you I'm up there. I got like 8. Road playoff victories. And what happened is when you are whoever wins wildcard weekend is going to be in rhythm. They're going to be feeling great about themselves. And what happens is a lot of times, remember, you know, I went in, you know, I don't remember who we played when I was with the ravens, you know, that first week. But I can remember playing the bangles, going out to San Diego, San Diego was the team that had the best record. They had a buy. We jumped on them because they were flat.

"I hope the plan isn't just, well, it's easier to do nothing because, oh my gosh. I don't really understand. I don't know what Joe judge has done to deserve a third year in New York. But maybe they get a new GM and suddenly it's great. I don't know. But I heard the Giants were keeping Joe judge and Daniel Jones. And it went, well, again, there's a lot of job openings and there's not a lot of quarterbacks. So I don't understand it, but that's what they're doing and best of luck to them. Apparently. Number three, number three, what am I saying? Finally, the last thing I want to talk about today. Number tomorrow, noteworthy 9 ask Zach. There's one other topic. It's in my notes somewhere. Let's talk about the Jacksonville Jaguars coaching search. Apparently, first of all, I heard two names that I love. Love, love, love. In the Jaguars coaching search, apparently they are considering Jim Caldwell to be their head coach. They're also interviewing and considering Doug Peterson. Jim Caldwell. Is the last code you got the Detroit Lions to the NFL playoffs. I love him. He got unjustly fired. Doug Peterson was a guy who I thought did pretty well. One is super cool. I mean, good coach Mike McCarthy won a Super Bowl too. I'm not saying you're great suddenly if you want a Super Bowl but Doug Peterson of that got fired because the owner wanted more control and Doug Peterson didn't like that. They also the Jaguars apparently requested to interview both of the Buccaneers coordinators defensive coordinator Todd Bowles and offensive coordinator Byron leftwich as well as the cowboys coordinators. That's defensive coordinator, Dan Quinn, and offensive coordinator Kellen Moore. Now the guy, the name that got me excited though. When I found out that the Jaguars might hire him as their head coach. Jim Caldwell. Dude, are you? I really want to see Jim Caldwell make a return, become a head coach in the NFL..

"Like Peyton Manning to Jim Caldwell. I got this right he has. He's built up that equity. Yeah, I'm not. I'm not black. I'm not looking to blast Aaron Rodgers here tonight. You already have no but my quit because because it's legit. I mean, my whole thing is, why is he not getting any blame? Did you scramble there? There's no thought on a field goal because you're gaining a yards, go back and watch it. Folks have done it a million times today, and it's been more frustrating every single time because every time I watch it, I think he scores. Complete. Believe these girls, I don't think I complete believe he scores. If not, he said that at worst before Right. Best he scores. Let's go the middle. It's forth into right. You think Matt Leflore is kicking a damn field goal? There's an action and a reaction. And nobody. Nobody has been bringing up. They show it right, But then they go right to the field goal. Well, why not focus more on the decision to come across your body and open field and a double coverage? No one's bringing that up, Freddie or why isn't anybody else bringing up the pic before the half it lead to seven points the other way. What was the difference in the game? 50 math and see, That's why I believe the coaches have the Buffalo Bills blew their team's chances. Mark based on what you just said. Because you have Aaron Rodgers on your football team. You have guys that made plays all year. If you're Matlin, Florida, trusting that your quarterback no matter what we put out there is going to make the right play is going to make the right decision and plenty times. We did not see that man Roger, especially after the second quarter. Girls up nine. Nothing. And yet, you know, cancer was going to come back. That's the worst thing that happens when you get a lead on Kansas City. Don't let Cassie go 14 nothing. Then they get complacent here. Absolutely. Even this year Big League big lead on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Firefight. Let them go. 14 17 nothing. Then they get bored. They get complacent. You makeup of lady back in the ballgame. The minute they went down nine. Nothing. You knew that that was going to be it for Buffalo bills. They still had their chances. And when yourself a field goals against Kansas City, you settle for losses. They were more than a couple of times that sauce on McDermott was on loan. By the moment I thought that he completely cement I don't want my team to get all be down here Field goal and I don't want them to get any points come with no points. That's very that one play where they had a chance in that fourth and short situation. They decide to go for another field goal. At that point it down 21 to 9. What have you got to lose? You go for a touchdown in that situation. If you don't get it, you trusted your defense will find a way to get a three and out at least Don't let him get the ball further down the field from Kansas City. That's the kind of president can't say puts on what was it like a 20 yard field 22 yard field. Exactly. At that point you're playing against who I believe the biggest, baddest boy in the NFL jungle. That's Patrick Mahomes. If you sell four field goals, he go let means I'm getting the ball back. And guess what my my offense is going to do. I thought the Buffalo coaching staff and yet they're playing uphill against cancer. After being down nine being up nine Nothing. I thought their coaches that did not give him enough chances to believe they could win. Suddenly full field goals or not even being more daring to try to put some fear. Or at least make Kansas City uncomfortable at the Buffalo Tonight. Nothing lead. Just got this text message. Yeah, you still don't kick the field goal if you're Matt Leflore. Okay, Look, I don't disagree with that. I told you Don't America stop Barnacle Father and work if you have an action in a reaction, the action that happens before the floors decision to kick said field goal was Aaron Rodgers and his Hall of Fame career and his Hall of Fame football brain. Not doing what he's done. 99 out of 100 times. That is open grass here to the right. I'm gonna get what I can, if not score, right? And there will not be a field goal decision to be even considered so real quick, who succumb to the pressure more. Aaron Rodgers saw McDermott, the coach of Buffalo. In the moment. Yeah, you know that's hard to toe. That's what I'm going to say Aaron Rodgers because you've been in the league this long, and you don't even make this kind of place. I'm going to say he's become more than a pressure than Chamakh, Germany, Buffalo because I mean Freddy that that that one again action Reaction. The action. If Aaron Rodgers does he normally does. There is no field goal decision to even be made. He got the heebie jeebies. Woody Gabby. It was it was in the Hall of Famer that we've seen not making the Hall of Fame decision. I think the ghost of Tom Brady got to him the same way that goes to Patrick Mahomes got the Sonic German and the Buffalo Bills using Fitzsimmons on Freddie Coleman on Freddy and Fitz Simmons brought you by my computer career. Training for a better life. Keep winging on Twitter We love to see you have to say Coleman, ESPN and Indian fits. ESPN agree or flat out, disagree or somewhere in between involving AL co workers. "Going to stick around, even if they hired enemies, he's still going to be difficult. I think they'll go with whoever they think the best candidates. It might be Eric the enemy, but it might be Jim Caldwell. Or it might even be Matty before. I don't understand what's going on with this Josh McCown thing. I have no I mean, you are talking about the ultimate Middle finger to watch. And, hey, we're gonna hire a head coach who's never been a coach ever at any level, so I don't even understand what that is. But I think it's kind of chicken and egg right now, Peter, where even if you have if you don't love Eric, the enemy. You can't hire him just a piece of quarterback who still wants out. If you do want to play chicken here and say we're gonna hire because we think this is going to matter then you do hire him. And if you like him, then it doesn't matter anyway. You should've hired him already. Sure. So let me ask you a hypothetical then if it is unsalvageable, and we're past repair and Sean walks, and they part ways is somebody like Matthew Stafford, someone that you view as a possible good fit down in Houston. No. And here's why, Because Matthew Stafford is okay. First and foremost to Shawn has a no trade clause. And so he can decide whether or not he wants to go somewhere, So it's gotta be. You know, I just have to mention that first Matthew Stafford, I think could end up in the division. But it would be if the cold, so they the entire thing is a team who really understands. They can't get a young quarterback. They need a quarterback gonna win. Now They're the ones who are gonna be targeting. And the Texans. I believe Be state. If they move, Watson. Frankly, they're going to get better faster because they're gonna have so many pics. So I think you'll see the text and look for either a guy like to look coming back, stamped Arnold coming back. They're locking on Zach Wilson or or Justin Fields or Trey land, So no, I don't think that I don't think the Texans will be involved in that the staff but I do think he could end up in their division. So we got Matthew Stafford to Shawn Watson. Future mega church and little finger. I figured like we hit it all today, Lance, I appreciate it. I think we've hit just, um Yeah, I think we've hit every segment of pop culture. You can possibly it. I think so. We have done it his lancer line. 97 5 in Houston, My man. Best of luck with the game of Thrones going down there in H Town, Right? Thanks. Yeah, It's awesome where all the bad guys have been winning so far in the owners like Ho door. Afford ofour Lord,.

"You for the first two hours of sports talk him around the great state of Michigan. Oh, boy would action packed show Ryan? Yeah, the presser from Dan Campbell that fired you often fired everybody else. It was amazing. We'll get into his higher little bit more. We'll get into the free agent questions. The Lions will be met with here in the next couple months, and the draft process is well and we're also going to get in to Michigan Basketball, Michigan state basketball and we have quick two hours, but let's start off that dead Campbell Press conference. Give us your initial thoughts and well, we'll play some of it for you guys later on here, But what judicial thoughts on this one? Ryan? Yeah, I love the press conference. You know to me he was He was pretty rough in the press conference about you. Do you know the whole Tearing off the kneecaps and things like that of that nature, But to me, he was just explaining, you know the mentality of a lion. Um, you know the toughness and grit that is linked to this great city. He was very straightforward. You know, I really liked his approach. And you know he's wants what every other fan wants. Here in Detroit, he wants Ford Field to be energized again. He wants to try to be a place where opponents fear to come, You know, kind of like an unknown jungle. Um and you know he's going to bring back life and energy to this team, this franchise and city of Detroit. And you know, I I think he knows why he was hired and you know, I was reading some articles and, you know, he said he told his agent, he's like, do whatever it takes to get me in a conference room with Sheila Ham for Nimrod would so I'm very excited for this new lines team. It's gonna be a totally different mindset. There's going to be energy on the sidelines. There's not gonna be a coach, you know, looking like Mr Potato Head with a stick up. You know what? So I'm very excited. Yeah, I love the passion. But the passion here this is this is where you know they're not so casual lines fans will click. This guy is that The passion will only get you so far. Yeah, Everybody is a leader of men like people like to say, finding a head coach the NFL Every coach in the National Football League is a leader. At some point, Matt met Patricia was a leader in being an a hole. This guy looks like he's a leader of, you know, getting guys ready to play and get guys fired up. But at the end of the day that the exes and Oh's aren't there. It's not good. It's not gonna replicate. But I do like this guy like that. I like that. He was a player that's gonna rare nowadays. Where you see former players being head Kotani NFL. I'm not sure if you saw this video, you know they brought him back into the indoor practice. Facility down and Alan Park and like he was tearing up like he knows what this job means to him on. Did it should be fun to watch. So I'm very pumped. And you know another thing I like. He mentioned this in his press conference. You know, he's not gonna promise wins. You know that You can't promise exes and Oh's and you know the end results before it happens. So that's another thing. I like. He was very straightforward with city and you know, I hope the best form Yeah, I did like that. He said. I'm not gonna tell you how many wins we're gonna get. I could tell you how we're gonna get him. But I promise you it'll be ready to play on Sundays, which I love that. I like that passion. I think he said he was gonna replicate. This football team. To what? The city exactly the effort they put out there in the blue collar, hardworking city that we that we are so blessed to live in. I'd like the passion by Dan Campbell here and I'm excited to see what he can do for this team 809 to 3. 93 85 809 23 93 85. What do you think? What? The press conference. We're going to get some clips here and playing for you guys here in about a couple minutes, and we're also could get more into this higher But let's head out to the phone lines. First of the Patriot Leading us off tonight is JJ. In Lincoln Park. He's first up on diluted. Sure what's going on, man Another great day to be alive. I'm enjoying myself. I really have no comment on the lines. Head coach. My lifetime. I don't think that team is gone 10 great moves in their life. Dad, I just think about firing Jim Caldwell after he had three of the last four winning seasons and went 11. If I've had a losing season, then he went 97 97. And they let him go. And he has like the highest winning percentage of any coach in my lifetime. And the players like them, ma'am, I mean, so that's my my.

"Admire about Dan Campbell is that He was willing to say things that other coaches because they're trying to be PC or not set too high expectations are unwilling to say, because it could make them look very stupid. We're gonna punch in the mouth. The city's been down. Detroit needs a winner. They got themselves back up a zit town. We need to reflect that The lions will be pushovers all of these things. Look, if the line's end of going forward 12 we play that clip time and time again and make you look foolish. You hang your head in shame if you do not turn this around, So we put a lot out there and fans. Lion San's been beaten down for a long time, so just somebody that can win a press conference somebody they could actually go out there not sound like Some type of nerdy rocket scientists that you know, has marbles in his mouth like Matt Patricia or a guy like Jim Caldwell, who's always very, very close to the vest or think about some of the other wacky people that they've had behind The podium with head coach is Wayne Funds and Bobby Ross. And I mean, these are not exactly Jim Schwartz. Not exactly commanding the room all that much So Dan Campbell gives you a refreshment. It's like, Wow, this guy's got juice. He's got energy. He's got life. The issue is Dan Campbell hasn't been a coordinator Dan Campbell's only Head coach. So if something goes wrong with the offense Oh, If something goes wrong with the defense. Oh, Dan Campbell. You can. You can get people's attention by talking tough by having charisma by winning a press conference, you can get their attention. But you can't win football games that way. I hope Dan Campbell works. I'm worried. This is the next Matt Millen. Matt Millen can talk the talk. Matt Millen sounds like football. Matt Millen was a very good color analyst in terms of sounding like he knows what he's talking about. But when it came to building a roster, assembling a coaching staff, etcetera He.

"He's right. Yeah, it was great. I like Chris Ballard as the general manager for the Indianapolis Colts. Of course, would River is going There's a big opening there at quarterback. What's likely for the Colts at quarterback now? Yeah, I think people are going to make the Carson Wentz connection with Frank, right because of their prior association and silly, And that makes sense if Billy decides to do that, but I don't think that really wants to do that. I think they're planning on having once is their quarterback. So I wouldn't call that a top on the possibility. I mean, I think you can probably get I think the Lions are gonna look at moving Matthew Stafford. I think Jimmy Garoppolo could be replaced in San Francisco. I mean, you can't do this looking for a job. Seeing this. Winston is looking for a job. Uh, Mitchell tradition he could be looking for you know that there are a lot of interesting possibilities at the quarterback position. And I think when you're Indianapolis right now, good spot, because, well, it is a good GM and the big picture. And they always have cap space. I remember. I remember talking about a couple years ago when they had the most cap space in the league. He's like we're not spending it. We will never have a cat shortage. As long as I'm general manager here, so they always have the ability to go out and get whatever they want. And they have a have a team that I think is gonna be appealing. Like if you're trying to sign a free agent quarterback, I think you can sell it is we got this great offensive line. We got this great young running back. We've got great young receiver. We got a defense. You're kind of ready made team, which is what they were last year. They plug into the rivers. Of course, they make the playoffs and fall short of their ultimate goal. But I think you know you could see a similar situation next year. I wouldn't be surprised if they went with someone like Stafford. We're talking to Dan Graciano from ESPN. Obviously, that's John Watson Story will be the biggest story of the off season. Which team do you feel like they could make a big jump next year like Massive jump is that Jacksonville? Is there somebody else that you think they could really take the next step. Meaning if they added to show watch. Not necessarily like I think, Jackson that was gonna unconnected. Okay, un connect. I got you, Um I think my well, Miami I think they won 10 games. Does that count like I would expect them to be a contender next year? Yep. For sure. I am. But big jump. I mean, you go from 10 wins to say, 12. Is that a big jump so I think I think anyone could bounce back. There's a team with cap space. They gotta get quarterback figured out that the guy running that show, uh, knows what he's doing. I think it's Joe Burrow is healthy at the start of the season, Cincinnati could be a team that could improve quickly. Just going through the standings here. Denver I guess they got some good young pieces. People will say Dallas, but we've all been down that road s Oh, yeah. Let me say, e think at the top, and I think Miami goes from contender Toc Strong contender. And I think you could see a team like a Cincinnati again. If you have Joe bro, the whole year, experts come together around bin pretty. If you were running the Dolphins, would you trade to us and Two ones and a two to get the show on a roll with what you got. No, I'm just like, you know, I would trade tradition in that situation. I don't think I don't know how many people understand what we're talking about. There may be four teams in the league that it shouldn't at least inquire like that. This is that who who this guy is and, um No offensive to a ton of our law. But I think if your show losses he's not old, right? Something like 20. So, yeah, I think I would definitely do that. I think that there should be teens lining up teammate their best offers for for him right now, And I think I would not rule it out of here in Miami, and I doubt they will. Then the doors closing here on head coaching positions in the National Football League. How likely is it for Eric the enemy to get one of those positions? I think he's definitely in the mix in Houston. Um I mean to handicap it. I mean, yet First we can hire until the Chiefs are done, which means you could hire Monday, potentially or you might have to wait another three weeks. On that can put off some teams. Sometimes you know that this system In some ways, penalizes people for having success, right? No longer your season goes, the more, the less likely it might be. You get one of the jobs, so he's in the mix, but they are looking at other guys in Houston have some prior head coaching experience like Leslie Frazier. On Jim Caldwell, so we'll see what they do, but I think that's that's his spot If there is one, and if there isn't then though, he'll roll out again next year and try again. But it is surprising. It will be surprised if he doesn't end up with one of the jobs and obviously down to two jobs. Now it seems more likely that it did a month ago. Alright, then make your picks who's winning this weekend? Moment, Green Bay and Buffalo..

"It's not just about defense. It's something that he's done in every stop of his collegiate career, and I expected to continue in Jacksonville. Urban Meyer is an excellent football coach, and he's not gonna have to call the plays. He's not gonna have to run the defense. He's going to be an overseer. And he's very bright. He's very intelligent. He gets the most out of his players and his staff. The problem I have with the Urban Meyer higher is that you've seen it it every one of his stops that he other burns out or leaves for health issues. Right. So listen, I'm not saying that you don't hire him because of it. If he gives you for five years and he gets you guys started and he developed sharper, Lawrence, and maybe you can groom a coach in the interim. But the problem with urban Meyer is that I've seen him. I've seen the end of Urban Meyer in a couple of other places, right to where, whether it's the health or whatever. So the jacks did very well with urban Meyer. But Also I feel like that you're getting you know what you're getting with Urban Meyer, the excellent coach. I think the Jackson a good job with it, but also realized that this isn't going to be forever. This isn't going to be where you look at some of the other coaches being hired and your expectation or your hope is that he's your coach for the next decade, not just a couple of years. So that's uh that's what that's what happened with with the Jags the Falcons higher. Arthur Smith, the offensive coordinator of the Tennessee Titans, 38 years old. Hey, interviewed with the Eagles as well and based on where he coached and where he predominantly was a professional as a coach was a lot of southern universities or Southern teams. I think he did well and going to the Falcons. As opposed to maybe going to a city like Philadelphia, where it's the Northeast, and we're just totally out of control, and we're lunatics as far as our football team, so he'll be able to take over a team that probably has low expectations and probably will be grooming. Ah young quarterback this year we'll see what they do in the draft there, the fourth overall pick But I I like the higher They got to get a quarterback down that Ryan is not going to be the long term answer probably passed this year, so they need a they need a new quarterback. So you can talk about the coach all you want, but you need You need a quarterback to match that Detroit Lions have looked at a number of people. They have interviewed a number of people. It seems like the guy that most people expect this Dan Campbell, who was the assistant Head coach for the Saints and also the tight ends coach Long time player in the league, and they're waiting to hire him after the states are are eliminated from playoff play, which could be today it's could be after next week. It could be a couple of weeks if they advance to the Super Bowl. But And Campbell seems to be the favorite there. Houston Texans. We just talked to Sean about this. I think it's cut up in the air. At this point. I did just read a tweet from Adam Schefter regarding the Texan situation. He said. Quote. It's gone from the least desirable head coaching job through the most undesirable head coaching job in the NFL. That's a fact that's how the job has looked at by everyone. So it's gone from the least desirable coaching job That's open to the least, is the most undesirable head coaching job period in the NFL. That is trouble. They have interviewed Joe Brady, the offensive coordinator for the Panthers. The interview John John Jim Caldwell. Longtime coach for the Lions and the Colts. Some other other assistance and coordinators as well. No idea where that's going to go from there. The LHR jer seems like they're going with Brian Table. Of of the bills, the offensive coordinator again, they would have to wait until after and they are eliminated from the playoffs..

"So long term like future or The least amount of question marks is the lions, but my personal optimism about the teams is the Tigers. Okay, Got it. 809 23 93 85, right. We'll start with you about Matthew Stafford. What's the dream scenario for you What to do? I mean, I think it brought up a very good point. Um, you know he is. I'm looking at. You know that back end of his career right now. And let's say those lines. Finish out five and 11 get a quarterback. I mean, This guy's meant so much to our city the past. You know, past 10 11 years that I wouldn't mind just, you know, shipping them out to somewhere to be a winner, right? Just just to see that happen for him. He's done so much for this city, even though it hasn't really shown. Um, but I really like to use take on that and I mean, I want to keep him but just looking, you know, to the future way down the road. I think we just have to look at Who the next franchise quarterbacks gonna be for this team? Yeah, and I don't know if you're gonna get a big haul in return for him, And that's gonna be okay. 12 year quarterback that said, literally had injuries and every single season that he's started here in Detroit. I think that you might get like a third rounder and No offensive tackle for him, which is I'm fine. I'm fine with that. So I think the lions need to, you know, start fresh, and I think that's what Louis Riddick and whoever's giving them or hopefully, Luis, really going to give you the next tiem Hopefully give I've already I've already killed Built in my mind. He will be if Louis Riddick is the GM here, and whoever's doing the next head coach. They're gonna make a decision on Matthew Stafford. And I'm gonna I'm gonna back in 100% if he if he's still here, good. Let's see what they can do with him. Maybe a new regime is good for Matthew Stafford. And they cannot fail him this time around. I think they gave him a little bit. They taste success with Jim Caldwell, but they realize that the great mustache wasn't enough to get over the hump. They try to bring in Matt Patricia. We all know how that panned out. And Matthew Stafford still has not had a legit head coach here in Detroit. And I think that if the if the new regime can can try Force a blueprint in the Matthew Stafford and win football games. I'm happy to have him here, but if they move on from him again, folks, I can't complain. Matthew Stafford be going into your 13 hasn't won anything. So Matthew Stafford has big money. Lots of injuries. What do you do with him? 809 23 93 85 is her phone number. If I had to make a decision right now, my guts telling me to move on from Matthew Stafford. That's unfortunate because I love the guy and I do want to succeed. But he might be better off in like Dallas or in New York doing that. And I think that anything I think that his staff would back a trade 100%. By wrong for that guy. He said. I don't know. No, I agree. Because the injuries are kind of too much and the talent here, But I think the city has failed him. I think that I think the ownership has failed him. And that's sad that because he's got so much talent I think if they were gonna move him You should have moved him earlier on in the season when they were gonna clean like they ended up kind of cleaning house now. But that was like, four weeks too late. Yep. If they were going to make a move and make it be reasonable, they should have done it. On the bye week. There were three or four teams who needed a quarterback at that point. And they were probably gonna give a king's ransom for a a competent a competent QB. I did the Cowboys would have would have loved Matthew Stafford and weak to this year and that's who I was thinking of is like doing it now. It's pointless because they're done because they already Yeah, their prospects are gone. You could have, like, Obviously, we don't know what was going on behind the scenes because they could have tried to have that happen. But regardless like High in the sky. For me, it was definitely move on from him. Five weeks ago. Yeah, because Dallas can make the playoffs in their division with, like, six wins. And when Dad Prescott live, right? Yeah. When Dak Prescott went down. We were kind of saying that to move Matthew Stafford there when when that was going on. We said Matthew, maybe maybe Stafford. You could be a cover Large hawkers. Dallas is desperate. Jerry Jones is desperate to make the playoffs because people don't start calling for his head. And when he didn't bring in Real quarterback in the Andy Dalton Take the reins. It was just so gross, and I think that his staff would have loved And I think you'd have flourished with that. I mean to get CD lamb out there. The armory Cooper out there they got. They got weapons. Ezekiel Elliott, a run game and offensive line. They just They just failed to pull the trigger on because I think the Lions were so deeply invested in winning this year, but it just never came to. They never flourished here. The biggest comparison I can think of is the corpse of Philip Rivers. Yeah, literally. Let him go from the Chargers. He did. Exactly pretty much exactly what Stafford has been doing. Went to a team that basically just needed somebody to catch the ball behind the center. Yes, look at them now. They're like like 9 10 wins now. Yeah, like They decimated us they way couldn't even do anything against the walking skeleton. No, it's funny because the lines were fresh off like two wins in a row that, like the Jacksonville it was running to the biweekly went Jacksonville Atlanta than Indy. And they picked us apart. We had no chance like every the first driver like this game's over. I just want to bring back the fact that you guys both pick the lions to beat the Colts I already handle. I'm gonna pick the lions to wait every game. All right. The lines will win tomorrow. Lives allowing tomorrow. Let's Slappy picked the lines to beat the Packers. Yeah, e That's a Kool Aid. In fact, that's the playoffs playoffs. You said playoffs blinds, 100. If there's a chance I'm rooting for him. Yeah, I think the lions I'm gonna root for them until you know the day I die. I'll pick up the window every week. Oh, I understand, like I actually think that the Lions would win last week. No, but I wanted them so bad to make the playoffs deep down every week. There's always like a 90% chance of lines. We get killed and that zits the bottom line here destroyed. The Lions will always have that big margin where they had the fight over because every week they should be underdogs. If Vegas is smart, They should always bet against the Lions. Yeah, these what happened? Yeah. I mean, the reason I was cheering so bad from last weekend's the Packers because they just had a slim chance of making the playoffs. Oh, yeah. Detroit Sports hasn't seen a playoff win since 2013 the last team. So when a game are the Tigers in 2013 when they beat the Oakland A's in a serious 2013. That's 78 right. Seven years. You know, it's funny. I was bad. You know when they quit really more than I remember those days with the chair for your put your turn for the Tigers, right? Uh, well, when I lived in California, the A's were my home team, but I rooted for the Tigers whenever the Tigers were playing, that's just kind of how the my fandom goes like. I had my team, but I'll always root for my other teams until they play my number one team. Do you remember that rivalry that the Tigers in the days went on for, like, four years in a row?.

Why won't NFL teams hire minority coaches?

"Three head. Coaching spots have been filled this week. But none of those. Three coaches were minorities while the Rooney rule has been followed. Some are beginning to believe that minority forty candidates are not being taken seriously for the open jobs and anonymous African American. NFL Assistant Coach said that the League has quote finally shown. It's not the place as for black men to advance. It's ridiculous it's disgusting. We can sell tickets and make plays but we can't lead Shannon. Why isn't the Rooney rule role working? Well I think until skip this diversity thing yeah. Diversity is a great great to talk about but until you get someone the leadership position that says you know what. I don't just want to talk about it. I want to be about it so until you get older ships that actually wants to put some substance to this and this is what that you're GonNa get now if the general manager there's one general manager that's what minority and that's CR- Chris greer in Miami. There's zero owners that are it shouldn't say minorities. I guess because shot con radically a minority. But when you get the gist of what I what. I'm trying to say until leadership gets more diverse. You're I'm not gonNA have a more diverse hiring background skills. This was puzzling to be. Is that Eric. Enemy has the exact Zac job that Matt Nagy had negative and call plays any recall. Please man they can get the job. Doug Peterson sedinko plays true. Recall to play around Rivera's on but Ron Rivera was not the defensive coordinator in Philly. He he became a D. coordinator what's he got to the D. Coordinator in Chicago. You are you in San Diego. Yeah but he got his getting these enter coaching tree. Eric B enemy has the exact same job. That Matt Nagy Doug Peterson has and he's not getting opportunity is spirit but this. I don't really think that they go into it. Unless you incentivize this. Okay if you how minorities kill we maybe you have an extra three to five five dollars and cap space. That's the only thing that resonates with these owners because I get it skipped if I spent three billion. Let's just say I spent three billion dollars for a restaurant run. You Go tell me what the hell I need to cook. Cook whatever I WanNa Cook it there. And that's how they look at it. Jerry Jones spent money for this. This this mind you oh tell me why should get killed but but this notion that Oh and they brought Muhiba Marvin Marvin Lewis. He brought him in to to do that. Situation wasted the same with the giants the giants they had irebi enemy. They what Joe Judge Chris Rashard Rashard. Excuse me Chris Restoring. Yeah so now. Now we're down to one. Vacant Cleveland Reunion. I'm talking about how good already know. Angle get no frills JAYCO network skill. He already interviewed there. So you would now now the take my name off the leader and solid rubber solid. Take my name off the list. Because he's GonNa get Mad Max two and a half years if you're lucky that seems to instead that's all Jimmy can stomach now if you look at it they keep these. You look at Mike Patton. You look at all the guys they've had and these guys have had I think. Hugh Jackson stayed the longest at two and a half years. But everybody's been two years the list huge only two and a half two and a half long but you get you get these other guys you get pretty kitchens and you look at patent and you look at a I forget. Just give all these one year jazz. WE ACHE AAC CLEVELAND. That in Cleveland of the North this skill ruining rules a joke. I get it. You know minorities Cadillac. An affirmative action thanksgiving. Yeah but in -firmative action. I guess it's federal dollars. You'RE NOT GONNA get the money if you don't do this. The NFL is a is a private entity. So what can you do. What Ki- what can you give? Nfl Do not the so. I have been tracking this for a long time because one of my best friends is John. Wooten who is now the retired leader of the Fritz Pollard. Alliance and he was the driving force behind instituting the Rooney rule as I hiring practice in the national shirow all league and John's point from the start was I just need interviews because if a young assistant coach gets interviewed a couple of times times it gets reported in his name gets out there and if another owner sees that name enough over maybe a couple of years hiring cycles else maybe an owner says chee that guy. He's getting a lot of interviews. Maybe I should bring in. Maybe I should be more open minded to him. But if you're GONNA curse because if I get a a lot of interviews and I'm not getting hired was wrong why here the me getting hired cave liability with that. But John's point in the end was I'd rather have interviews than not have interests. Okay okay so let's go back to the stat that I use last week. The Institute of Diversity and Ethics In sports twenty nine thousand nine racial and gender report card for the National Football Bali. The League got actually an a plus for hiring of color. Assistant coaches right a sit a plot. Oh that's progress right. It got a deep loss for hiring head coach of Color White eight-plus assistance d-plus head head coaches. There's a big disconnect there and it shows you. That owners are fine. Oh hire two or three black assistant fine with that but nope nope. I don't want to head coach to be black. Right gives quite to the restaurant you can cook. You'll be in the bank but Michelle not the bridge. I roll up now okay so when I texted back and forth last we can use this last week of John Wooten just beside himself now. He is devastated by this this development his point was that only one. GM Chris Grin Miami. Point out is use. John's word heartbreaking because it could start with the GM right a black GM of or of color could be more open minded to say to the owner. Hey listen this guy is really bring him in. Let me let me introduce him to you right. The conduit to the owner can be stronger. Iran have I don't know six or eight black. GM right right. We've had them around the league four or but all of a sudden there's a dearth to rape Barma with Barma within Cleveland. He'd Gone Rick Smith who I know very well be in Denver. He interviewed for The Washington. Ashington John Daniel Snyder said head coach could be a head coach. Basically general manager after the Washington like who are the head coaching after the draft. The General Mattis. Okay so sometimes there is group think or shink sheep among the owners because in the end they do want to win right. And if they're looking around the League league and that black head coaches really successful they say well I want one of those. I want to go that direction right well. There was one black head coach who started to have success late in the year ear and he happened to be allied with Chris. Clear in Miami and Brian Floors off the Patriots. Well they started out all time badge for about what seven seven games fifty. Nine seven opening renders and then they basically it felt like they turned the whole roster iside down which they needed to do and then all of a sudden the last nine games they go five and four they upset the eagles and then they went to foxborough and just basically ended the season. I thought for the new New England Patriots playoff teams right. Okay so all the sudden Brian floor floor with the help of Chris greer. They're having big success. It looks like it's headed in the right drug us us but it wasn't enough of a splash to create momentum through the hiring process and right because John Wooden again texted me back with so many names he said we have so many in the pipeline. Who already started with Eric? B Enemy and Chris Rock. I think Chris Shaw Bad Year on defense but when I watch him interviewed when I watch his body language. It's a stunt man he's he's got. CEO Written all over him. He looks like a commanding officer to me. There's not enough black head coaches skip. Because because you look you look at Mike McCarthy guest job he hires the guy that gave him his opportunity coordinator fifteen years ago so you see the circle. We'll skip once you become a head coach. What do you do you go to the combine? You go to say elbow you got your drake. He goes to the coaches meeting and Yada Yada Yada and to connect with the boom boom boom right right. So if I'm not in that Lou. How do I get into loops? Because a rid of staff they said eighty percent of the jobs are never posted so in other worth people get hired somebody a friend or family member is not what you know who you know There in live the roof. It does house so to finish John. Bruton's list of pipeline candidates being AMEE. Chris Rashard Robert Sala. He threw Jim Caldwell on his list. Is Jim Colwell was highly successful zestful. Jim called wheel lost his jaw. Going nine and seven in two years Matt Patricia has nine total win and he's still got a job now he goldwell still doesn't have another job he in four years. He went to the playoffs twice in the last year he went nine and seven and they said well you know we need to move in a different direction. uh-huh and the guy that's replaced has yet to win nine total games in two years. Do you still own a still on the clock. Okay Steve wilks got one shot in time. I'm one year in Arizona and he was gone. He's now the defensive coordinator in Cleveland which probably didn't help his cause this year that much but I don't hear his name no in Cleveland right right on the list. And then there's Terrel Austin who's young stripes potential star coach and John Wootton into his list with Marvin Lewis who he thinks deserves a second shy right. Okay so Jerry. Jones did observe in qualified for the Rooney rule by bringing in. I Marvin Lewis. I think Jerry was shrewd operating waiting there. Because he didn't pick a young like like Chris Rashard type interview him because of Jerry had interviewed a young potential upcoming head. Black coach right. There's more pressure on Jerry. What was wrong with right? What's the problem exactly? He went to Marvin Lewis because he thinks Marvin Lewis is kind of old news right right. He got his longtime time shot in Cincinnati. Listen I still think Marvin did a good job job seriously. Yes okay he went. Oh and seven in the playoffs but still it was Andy Dalton Alton you re you with covering the NFL and you remember what Cincinnati before. Marlene got there was John. Carter number one overall. You Got David Cleland with the fourth. The fourth picket. You got big day to day and Wilkerson purse around the second pick in the draft year after year after a year people. Forget what I know. Marvin didn't win a playoff game. But they weren't even getting close to the playoffs for Marvin got there. No so I was disappointed in Jerry because you know my heart Hartz. I'd love to see Jerry Jones higher black head coach and I think I probably won't live long enough or Jerry will live long enough to know.

Hot Seat Szn: The NFL Coaching Carousel

"Dan You talked about. How if it's only been a year? Sometimes a team will say. Let's give this guy a chance to turn things around. But it's been a couple of years in in Detroit with Matt Patricia. Why do you think that team came out before black Monday? And said we're going to hang onto him despite the fact that he's one In two seasons as many games as Jim Caldwell one in a single season before he was fired in Detroit I think the key is bob coined the GM right he comes from New England. He gets rid of Caldwell he goes and six out Patricia who knows from New England and he has sold ownership on. We can build this thing. Long-term here's what Martha firestone foreign said about her decision to bring back both former patriots quote. We expect to be a playoff contender. We expect to play meaningful games in December as she's referring bring to next season when she brings him back whatever he's told them about here are signs that it can work. They've bought whether they're correct or not. I think you know the former New England crew. That's running the Detroit. Lions has convinced Detroit Lions Ownership. Here's why this can work here. We're sorry it hasn't worked right away but two years isn't long enough. Give us another chance. And we'll see how much does the GM matter when we're looking at these teams in trying to evaluate whether or not they're going to move on from their head coach well matters a lot. It commensurate a couple of different ways one. How tied together are they did the GM hire the coach? And right now when when Quinn goes Detroit cold wells already there. You figure we'll cold well. It's not going to last because Quinn's GonNa WanNa bring in his own Guy Lo and behold that happen happen so if you are the guy that the GM hired that might help you if you are the guy that GM hired but it's going poorly and you're the the first guy the GM hired then. Recent history has shown us that you are the one in trouble and the GM is not there are coaches out. There that will tell you that. GM sits in the owner's box. He talks to the owner all game. He's the voice he hears while the coaches are down there on the field losing and it's pretty easy for the GM that kind of position himself. Like hey this isn't my fault. Let's make a change and try it another either way. I do think there are situations where you see more and more around the league where it goes in the other direction where. The coach kind of picks up in San Francisco. John Lynch came because Kyle Shanahan wanted wanted him in Buffalo Brandon. Beane came because Sean McDermott wanted him so I like that. Formula Teens are using now or they get the coach. I coach brings in mm somebody. He knows he can believe in. They understand the salary cap in the same way and can do all that administrative stuff together. I think that's that's a formula that looks like it's working in a few spots.

Packers get 10th win, defeat Redskins 20-15

"All right so if you were paying attention yesterday to the and a half of al you saw the Packers beat the Redskins at Lambeau field I I watch that game and it's interesting we are a ten win team Michael Spaulding but people still a little bit so tense little uneasy as we head into our next game of Chicago Bears next Sunday at Lambeau field yeah twenty to fifteen yesterday wasn't a pretty game but it was a win significance in the fact that it's a double digit win season it also gave metal for his tenth win as the head coach becoming the first Packers first year first time coach in Packers history with ten wins years before after the game ever apologize for winning we're always going to feel great about winning but you always want to go out there and put your best performance out there and you know I I think there is there's more out there for that for us log but when yeah it was not a pretty well as Aaron Rodgers sentimental for sentence and several others and then like and an endless string of sports writers in the sports commentators maybe we shouldn't complain they're the they're in the second seat position for the NFC that means that we get a first round bye in the whole state the second round playoff game those are all great things here's my thing now as a fan I'm happy they have ten wins but as a fan I'm also concerned about the state of the team when they struggle for example we've been complaining for the last fifteen weeks are solved I'm going back in the preseason lack of return game we complain about it finally yesterday we saw punt returner come on the field could actually gained positive yards for the first time this season and I into some other areas in the team that I concerned about which is their secondary some of the other things that they do Dave not getting down the offense of line that's legitimate concerns was so I appreciate the ten wins and I love the fact that meant the Florida as as first year as head coach is able to knock it out of the park already and I think he's got a chance to tie some some NFL records if you can when outs which is three games against the the bears Vikings alliance all NFC north teams if you can do that I think you'd have thirteen wins which I think would break the record or not tie it top tier yeah which I understood and all the other coaches that are on that list most of them are hall of fame coaches yes some of them some of them also looked into a situation Jim Caldwell his first year he had paid many one forty yeah there's always those situations but no I'm not complaining I just wanted to be as good as possible and for all those folks who who like to scold us fans for the in their mind not appreciating the ten win season I appreciate it I also don't want to be scolded about it because when they get to the playoffs are not good enough to beat some of the other teams I think you're gonna be the one that's crime at that time not predicting anything I think they have a great chance long have Aaron Rodgers you can win any game we saw that in twenty ten they ripped through the the road games all the way to the Superbowl and beat Pittsburgh in Dallas so I mean it's all
