"Hey everyone else again. Back for another ultimate spider cast. As I said last time we may have a special guest that we do ladies and gentlemen legendary artists for moral and these e Mr Ron Ron Friends. I didn't run over buddy. Thank you very much for the warm welcome and I know it kind of jumped around last time nine but were cut. We're focusing this time on us. Some of Ron's at Spiderman works the The hobgoblins stuff look close at Kinda. Well our little thirty there yet. Yeah Lockenfora guy couldn't river whether either. Yeah did you have a question missile helper. We can't talk fighter girl. Oh we can And we can but I know we've been focused in hobgoblins last few episodes. But you know if you've spider girl questions young we can do the hop of Apple. Yeah had Harley poking in November thanksgiving time doing the half Hour Hall Gobble Gobble wherever I like that word clever. Yeah last episode. We were talking. We talked like your first regular the issue of amazing amazing to fifty one. That seemed like a really fun issue. Probably the draw for your first regular issue because it was like mostly like an all action issue. Yeah actually. That's that's very insightful. That that wasn't true that you got to come in Junior to do all the setup and basically the big final fight it was I heard I've heard this online son again. I don't know if it's true. Who but when Roger Stern left the book did did Tom Ask him? You know Mr Tom Felker did he ask him who he had in mind for the HOB Goblin get okay. Okay and Tom immediately did indeed ask him. And Was told that it that it was Oh help me. I'm an old man that Roderick Kingsley Roderick Kingsley and you know and it's Tom didn't completely understand what the subtleties. Lt Of what Roger was going for although I not surprisingly have to as much as I love Roger I have to side with common this Rogers Rogers point is that the the the the Kingsley's are not twins. ooh that they just are. They look enough alike that they could fool people. But they're not they're not literally twins and that I just find that really hard to believe And he would have spent more time Building the mystery and doing more scenes like the ones he did see but by the time he was leaving the title and there was no real Crisis or conspiracy that had roger leaving the title And the fact that he and Danny Finger is Had worked together before and yell. Roger just didn't feel that there is at the daily figueras editing style and Rogers writing style. You know dovetail really well. He just felt that he would be driving. Danny crazy and vice versa. It was a good time with JR leaving it was a good time for him to be leaving He has flattered me by saying that if he had known that I was going to be the choice for pencil or he might be around long enough to wrap up the Goblin stuff boot that either. That's just in being very nice but anyway he made the decision to leave the title. It was his decision decision to make he made it So Danny's first duty as editor was to find a new Finally writer and And he tapped time onto do it though. Of course Thomas I two issues were Scripted over Rogers Plots So what. What was the question? Oh yes and Tom did indeed ask him. Who is the HOBGOBLINS? and Rogers Answer. Being a professional professional writer was while I was playing making it Roderick Kingsley's brother but you can make it whoever you want. 'cause you're the new writer and The one point. I asked Tom so it was Roger Planning on making it and Tom kind of cavalierly said it's going to be Roderick was going to be Roderick Kingsley's evil twin which you know and and Roger Denies that he would have said it that way because that's not the way he saw a tapie acknowledges that you know that the way Tom put it to me and I said is that who we are GonNa make it and he goes on. Fortunately you know. I don't think there was enough enough seated. I don't think that plays fair for the for the audience because I don't think there was enough. There were enough clues for anybody to conceivably half guest that And quite I'd quite ironically that happened with us Because the WHO wanted to make who tom wanted to make The hobgoblins wants daddy finger off had moved off the title and And and Jim Housley editor Afghan. Tom was trying to put seems set up who he wanted to be the hobgoblins who he felt had already been suggested and he wanted to do more scenes setting up the reveal so it would play fair with the with the reader and those scenes dean kept getting cut by the editor who didn't know why those scenes were in there and Tom didn't WanNa tell the editor who he was intending on making because he didn't feel that that was a good idea he figured as you people would know as possible and on and on and on and even became a very messed up their egos involved. There was no shenanigans involved. There was all kinds of ridiculousness going on the little bit of back stabbing a little bit of of ridiculousness that went on Whence Jim Ashley was running the show? actually Glenn Greenberg. WHO's an assistant editor on the hub? godless project did a really wonderful article for back issue magazine. Few Years Years back that interviewed all the principals and Basically took Jim Athlete blog He he didn't want to be interviewed you but he he was able to take Jim's blog as Jim's testimony. If you will to what was going on at the time and did a a wonderfully Complete overview of of the entire hobgoblins switch undeniably is one of turned into into over the years so once. Tom Found out who the Hong Kong was supposed to be that he lets you in from as soon as he found out apob immediately. Rogers was and we. You know I mean I'll be honest with you. I mean when we when you're running a mystery like this when you decide to start a mystery you don't always always know how the mystery going to end when we had And four we have prepared a time. We had a We set up several mysteries. There we set up the mystery of blood actually set up the mystery of. WHO's in the bag and hell user? I'd references for people. It might not read this stuff but when you set up a mystery you have an idea where you're going but you wanNA keep it fluid because if all the fans guests along the way you don't want you don't want him to be right they don't WanNa be right so you have to keep it open and fluid to possible changes in in case you know too many people get it or somebody gives it up or something happens along the way that would change the direction of your story. Oh and you have to keep it open for better ideas you know so. We talked about who we thought. It should be. Tom Decided who he thought. It should should be And he was the character that he was hoping to do. More setup with was the kingpins on Richard Fiske who had who had bender Schemer at one point That show Tom intended for hobgoblins to be in our story line which never happened He was planning on using Roderick. Kingsley as rose oh The rose was conceived as being a character that Tom was surprised. What people wondered who the Rose Wives because listen with just one of these middle management? pugs more Ask and he didn't realize that would be a question arose. Is You know they can pick. But those were his two ideas. And neither one of the maverick came to fruition. And so that's the way the Biz work. I mean when writers change when Editors Change You know storylines changed at Solar Chris to it really. I do like that better think Roderick Kingsley would have made a better rose and the are Richard Fisk when it made a better hobgoblins. Well you know that that also would have meant they'd Roderick as we did have a brother when are otherwise you know things like that which would have made some of the stuff that Roger set up Interesting because we're was deliberately doing scenes where Kingsley's personality seemed to be different. You know. Sometimes he was more cowardly.

"Visiting India focused just on the paddles travis how traditionally offer a little bit less resistance than the pilots and given the injury call sustain this probably a safer option the state to just be going through those of you watch the last camp episode you'll know that one of the reasons that Jamie has Niger holding the pats the paddles he can see a little bit more of call economists steaks and the positional things that he wants to do much easier to see from a distance when you're watching somebody else taking on the pirates even if you don't want holding so this is something that's become pov training sets up you have to be honest and say that they're on a huge number of policies that came out of Philadelphia oversee for those of you that on the wet in he was injured by that Congress hitter in the hotel just three or four days before the fight in Philadelphia brokers the two of his fingers in fact but luckily the damages is hailed by punching the positive side counts about one is the so he had a good ten eleven week campaign so he goes into this camp a little bit fresher certainly did at the beginning of the summer had been in the rain solicitude Josh Warrington lobbyists and had relatively stagnant six months time making the white shed it gets fit than working on taxes this coming into a reasonably solid ice a fitness I'm not sure sign him in good stead very likely short to count last just working on counselors on the front foot ache to see him cutting the ring off writes in for the job to come out slipping an with a right hand up on the inside I said they don't know who the opponent Asia were a number of names towns at ours Doc Bay Louis via Rican suited for the white box so far nothing has been confirmed to seven weeks out talk for departments to get ready to see calling nights talking about intelligent as the ring of stepping off the centerline technical powder this this is more trying out set piece this is Bob work designed to get you to exhaustion fatigue you this is more working on the technique working on the field position in the head positioning making the combinations of thrown not just the right pace in the right way position and a lot of that in just about how you throw about where you are when you throws so in the right position before we let go your hands Jamie seems with these image meals especially the shoulders but he's he's he's best singular mytalk catching clean boom followed by for can go aw I envision it again all of this sees Jewish designed to work on getting a job before throwing US making sure you step off the centerline go out with those combinations stepping off the job why had the back of it call being very critical especially for the Warrington fights and they didn't use his legs as much as he knew he could new breath and he felt like the one thing you'd be lost we didn't get to seal fight night actually use his legs and his phone we can see now he's really keeping the underneath him at all times keep it on balance the best example of this is probably with Shankar and the white track opponents feet wherever you go if you move from white he'll move forward left always marrying you'll footwork or wherever you go and you think you set out dangerous he steps with you just C- call answering a little bit I felt working poked him in the I don't try your opponent boom it'll your position in a little bit I mean I'll be there anyway aww from an injury on that if it will fix your fucking youtube stunts tonight in the cows employing he's anticipate his opponent trying to find the next meeting is being as Nigel is there you'll get better the rights backed up to the roads and then you've got choice to either hold your feet chuck up and Tyco and all and that's your exit point now obviously if you exit in Europe it doesn't move and track you then you found escape route and giving yourself a breathing space but if someone like college good as he is actual footwork mirrors where you go it maintained the tight space that you have to work within that forces us to work forces you to expend energy you don't want to expand and that's what they really mean when they talk about consistent from put pressure in a fight very very draining as Lama Chen Code USA Ukrainians do that very very rural the Russians as well wherever you go that route you don't think they'll be saga that's what I'm thinking because you try and stop fucking complaining about going around the block his Dongola is gonNA come down there and folk him until the referee says an ally to keep anything down you haven't seen our episodes we've knowledgeable travis so you really do such a character we went up to the Mall Sides Fire Station box Jim to find out about the great work that what an interesting life and an integral part of the bill actually you're not allowed to do it is if you intentionally you're not supposed to book if he's in into it that's his focus johnny what was I saw these kids side on the shop she was styled is it pivots off by the Finnish aim not downstairs for if the kids turn he's back in London around the block he's not necessarily he's pivoting around injury yeah so if you miss that since she talking about is one of the points that potentially prepare for a moment collector on the show stunts now we talked about this a little bit Evan Haney on the show last week it's kind of where you stand use the shoulder to ride the right hand he use this hand Harry it's GonNa get rid of them like a second and then use this hand to catch now one of the problems with the Dow is to turn your back on the opponent sometimes because these starts how and spin tight around the side now closes the rear the laps in the liver and if you hit that guy's turned away from your opponent then actually signed to call this an aim low round because if he turns side on right in the sweet spot where you need to will you're listening to the probably hear the tempo on the powder was starting to go a little bit that's what Niger is renowned for starting to test the lungs on the engine of Karla Japanese still six and a bit weeks out from the fight so he won't be anywhere near full fitness yet another four weeks away I love looking today spiked negative training sessions dossier than we now in the ring. made you made me a prominent okay whoa whoa whoa whoa i think you've got the wrong guy i could someone is definitely wrong man i could be a shower all right so the man who killed don quixote is a directed by terry gilliam and also co written by him and stars adam driver were were more but yeah yeah jonathan pierce man there's a lady from bond yep and a william miller will cain jason watkins yeah not not many other walking yeah yeah and you i'm thinking of the bridge guys and everything yeah yeah yeah he looks like his dad oh oh yeah oh yeah i i get that yeah what is her name unions and then i'll give you i'll give this as the synopsis is toby disillusioned film director becomes pulled into a world of time jumping fantasy when spanish cobbler beliefs and be son show panza boundless energy a he gradually become unable to tell dreams from reality so like we said this one is terry gilliam's passion project but he's been trying again made one teen years to dead donkey authorities now yeah and so there was a which is a very mehta yeah very you know what i mean yeah because one one and then and you said it yes no i you know i know i know i mean that's true but yeah this one has been like even last year when it was announced it even then got pushback well why not talk about tea party in the early release became really limited and i only just happened across on amazon amazon dot com new catcher and then can got sued and can't said screw you 'cause they're french like is very french no no i'm not being real you know i love the very french slight court it's kind of thing like they didn't they sued each southern stuff right but there were more like screw you like very french you know right it's it's crazy i don't think you know the drama right no crazy also yet admitted movie in like nineteen ninety see with johnny depp whether it's the law in much of what the documentary yeah yeah yeah yeah the documentary yeah yeah joined up just watch that everybody's you watch that and they're making and they filmed this one and and and making another documentary called dreams a reality or something it's all very a oh i wanna say insular but i don't think that's the right word you know what i mean yeah it's like a big little it's like a but it's like a hail of a time came in adam just that shape yeah it's a lot going on yeah but yeah and then they try to let me and then was his name john i would say john rosenthal i dunno you knew that is who i'm thinking of local photographer refer oh that's right yeah no not him what's his name jonathan there's no no no no not down hurt either the original don quixote oh i gotcha anyway he learned i dunno and his foreign actor and i'm not cultured 'cause he spent like two years learning english to play the role and then you've got like herniated disc or whatever at a dropout and then they came back and then the flash flood or not there's a huge flood in all their women got washed away end it change the color of like the mountains yeah i couldn't tell you so maybe we should everything they have enough money to a bus and then you and mcgregor and john her were supposed to unload bucks oh my gosh like a time and a half and then that guy pseudonym and then whatever and they got sued again and what have you oh my word what a matter what even with these swing for i don't know what he does try to get some that i dunno and that is what can can literally in their statement there like you just trying to get famous miss this is not gonna work because they released a letter of like black here's front of like black male can and can't that they've published the letter you know why would you oh my gosh how to's man you mess with ken told you will find you're young and punch you in the face yeah yeah a all right well yeah so that's a little bit of the background backstory in a little bit honestly i l l a are will gary at you wanna start us off here since you're that they don't know how he feels reminded me of brazil very angry laughing gas looking at and i had the same reaction at the end which was what that's fair and i told chloe chloe said what did you think and i said no i didn't i really didn't she liked it would surprise me but anyway but i i had i was thinking i told her and i'm i'm still thinking about it but i told her all probably like it more when i as i have time to think about it and i do he ruminating i have been thinking about it and i do like it because i understand it there's a lack at first on i think you probably don't know if you need to watch it twice but you need to think about it because things happen they don't resonate immediately or don't don't connect runaway but it i know that it's it's more of a cerebal yeah for sure story then you would think he loves doing that doesn't mean it had it was good visually but it did make me think and i like i like like movies like that that's like the best kind of person well a are will close now you know you're the terry gilliam no nfl my get it from my my papa might say well we're still my favorite part of my monty python was always animation where the oh yeah gilliam there is always my favorite mhm yeah i'm jim ashley left terry gilliam yeah yeah i do which also makes me like you know what i mean yeah like bruce or at least between the two of us you're the the bigger right yeah yeah although i i like i like killing it's like saying but now the two last year the bigger queen fan it's like very obtuse sure you're relatively is a statement but i hear from you think i'm asking for the company although i think it's too bad they didn't cast john cleese oh yeah donkey oh dang he would have been good time on opening he looks the far too tall is very tall but donkey odia was supposed to have been lanky ammonia there you go decrepit yeah but then all of a sudden i followed a john cleese to his hotel once and i said okay yeah you remember that no matter where after the to the washington or or suits we really fall know that yet that we were going down the same road realist car in front of a we just happened to be going down the same road all the stall leonard no no and then we had the moment we had the moment where if i was in the cost my mom there's no way we went to pretend staying at room there and gone in right like a hundred percent my mom just wouldn't do that and it'd be amazing you know yet official everybody olga career linko that's her name wow that one you know yeah okay thank you sorry and i do remember that night and no i wouldn't have lied about were staying about my mom and i would sell it was a it was tomato tomato man i know close one anyway i really liked it i thought i'm surprised that he missed me sometimes like i'm not over that christoph waltz one the syrupy room yeah no you're you're in like in some i'm sorry lucas hedges you know i love you but i know that's too bad but when it works it works and i think it's also like he he's kinda grounded could like used a store that exists you know what i mean like so maybe it's the heels grounded is that i had some context for his like like i had almost the rosetta stone for his weird language oh you know what i mean 'cause i knew what was relatively going on but at one point i literally turned a pop and i said i do not know what's going on because the editing i did know what's going on but in retrospect i mean like that's fine that's like i even said then i'm like but that's that's what his movies are you're along for the ride you know what i mean it's like going on a ride at orlando studios when you've never seen the movie it's based on fair i'm i mean it's all take both yeah but i thought it was actually very sad i mean there's some terry gilliam stuff where i'm like okay all right terry okay but i know what i mean like how he deals with ladies i'm like okay but it's not it's not offensive her that battery anything but it's just very particular way of that kind of thing i'm like all right we know yes okay you know it's not fensive racing just like a roll my eyes like that relative i don't have that most people have feel like okay you have those yeah anyway it's one thing to watch for is there's there's a little affect you used it's like an old timey a cartoon they show us subtitled because they're speaking spanish somebody pushes it out of the way oh that's right yeah added doubt yeah very i said that you know that's trademark terry gilliam yeah it's like vermont advice on also his land stuff you could you could tell terry gilliam from from a mile away like two miles away weather but this one will suffer digital one but they use out like they usually that they still use that thing i noticed when you know you're out there is no it's not official but they will come around yeah yeah that makes sense of snow on i know what you mean but there was a kind of around and he only used it on adam driver i think but like it was very it was very pardon access parnassus heavy yeah but like that's fine that's who he is and it was a different story and it was different literature favorites is my faith but i just love i mean i love the looks of his movies there so creative but not use slit not were to not like look how creative i am like they're nothing not for not exactly like like they're really built little world you know what i mean everything's kind purpose and everything released thought of and his beautiful like i think the cables just so beautiful and all that kind of stuff you know some excellent pay the acting was very good so didn't move up
