"July third Disney plus. Hey, we're back with Dr Jill Biden Megan. Yes Oh. You obviously have a new book out called Joey as a children's book about your husband's life. Can you tell everybody more about it and where we can find it? Sure so. It's a story of Joe is a little boy. You know so many people see Joe now as a grandfather, but this is his childhood. How adventuresome he was in in the things that you know never refuse, dare I also and so. There's fun stories in that. I think kids will love, but there's also the part about it in about Joe is a little more who stuttered and how he overcame a stuttering, and how he understands how he had to fight bullies because he was bullied because he was a starter so. You. Know I. Hope that kids read the book and. Take it to heart that. If you know with hard work, you can overcome. Adversity. And Be! Or. Become whoever or whatever you want to do. Joe In your family have suffered tremendous losses in your life and I understand what you're saying about, and my grandson read the book and he really liked it so. But just before we go the end of the show your wealth. What do you want people to know about Joe? In a sort of a nutshell. Well. I want them to know that you know Joe will be a strong and steady leader I. Use the phrase. Give me the ball. That, you know I, I know when I started writing the book in the fall. How our really ironic? It is that now? You. Know Joe is saying to Americans. Give me the ball. Give me the bird. Let me shoulder. Because so many people are suffering from from so much and I think that You know it's Joe Steady leadership that I think people are really hungry for and. I think every president is known for something special about their presidency and I think Joe will be known for being an empathetic. leader because of all he's been through and because of the tragedies in his life because his because he did stutter. Because his father did lose his job because he did work at the only all black pool in the city and saw what people of color went through and so I think that empathy is going to be Joe's three two streep. Love our thanks to Dr Jill Biden her book, Joey the story of Joe. Biden is out today, we, of course, we'll be right back. Hey Sonny. Tell everybody why today's a big day for you. "We are back with Dr Jill Biden, who's written a fabulous new children's book about her husband called Joey Meg. Yes Gel. So it's no secret that trump is going to hit your husband hard for everything you can possibly imagine president. Trump is disgusting, and there is no boundary. He won't go for I know we all know the. You know there's there's stuff in the prompter. These says about your husband that quite frankly I don't want to repeat 'cause. I think it's so gross, but we know that trump is tough lawn, and it's very hard for things to stick to him, but he is very good at neutralizing his opponents like he did with Little Marco. Lying Ted and of course Crooked Hillary. So how are you guys preparing to go against that in the debates and in the general election and just deal with the inevitable vitriol that's coming. You know we know who trump is and Joe Is strong. He's been in politics You know most of his life and I think Joe can handle. Joe's. Beliefs I. Yeah I think he can handle it just fine I mean. They go after him for his little gaffes that he makes. He makes mistakes. It's nothing like this. Criminal in the White, house and the things that he says every day but I wish they would just stop doing that, but you know what. Why do you suppose trump is so teflon so teflon? Why do you think? Oh I don't know I don't understand it either. Really understand it either. Why he's not held accountable. Maybe. have to do with the quantity. It's a quantitative of things that he says it's so crazy every day and so disturbing that becomes you become immune to it, I think. I want to. Sleep, I want to. Switch Gears and talk to you about the corona virus, because at this point nearly one hundred and thirty thousand people Americans have died here in the US and over the weekend, the secretary of Health and human. Services said that the window is closing for the US. To. Do Anything. about this to get the virus under control. What is your biggest concern? While my biggest concern, you know as a teacher is For for America's children. I mean that's what I'm concerned about in so they have you know. The parents have to be responsible and make sure that their children wear masks that they socially did their social distancing from their friends and I know it's hard I mean this is summer. The kids should be out. Playing kick the can in You don't just at swimming pools, but it's just a different time and I think it's the responsibility of parents and grandparents to say to your children. This is life and death and we have to be saying. Know. It's something that I worry about as well. My children are school aged and my mother is a teacher, and since the virus schools have moved to remote learning, which is very difficult for a lot of children, and we are seeing a lot of inequality with families who just can't afford to have computers and children really getting left behind, and as you mentioned you are teacher yourself. What is the solve here? What do you think can and should be done? Well We have to get rid of the inequity in education to begin with, and that's what I'm hearing from teachers all across this country. So you're right. I mean not all areas have broadband. Not all kids have laptops. Kids have access to the Internet, so that's one of the things that will change during a Biden Administration and And we have to create. Equality in education in job will do that by starting with universal pre pre-k for all kids at three years old, so they all started the same base, and then and then they continue Sousa grades, and then Hopefully we'll have free community. College is one of the things that I really have been pushing for and one of the things that we started in the Obama Administration and There's so much we can do. Give more entitled. To the title one schools who are you know who have the greatest needs and then I truly think something every we have to do so much for the mental health of our students, because when the children come back to school, and they cannot wait to come back. I understand that, but they're coming back in many many of them suffer from anxiety, because of this pandemic or have been food and secure, and as you may or may not know child abuse is on the rise, and they're gonNA. Bring this all into the classroom with them. All these anxieties, so we have to help our kids by doubling the funding for psychologists and. Counsellors in our schools, and we have to give mental health support to our teachers. because. They're the ones you know I'm an English teacher, and it's not only my subject matter that have to teach. It's to help. Calm their fears. And make them feel strong in giving them confidence again, so there's a lot to do, but I think you know with Joe. Bring President, we can move forward. Excellent while we're going to have more with duct Jill Biden when we come back..
Trump mocks Biden for wearing a face mask
"Trump today mocked Joe Biden after Biden appeared in public wearing a mask on Memorial Day here's Bob Costantini with Joe and Jill Biden appearing in public in a personal no frills way and wearing masks to pay homage to America's war dead he was a sure bet that would not go unnoticed on president trump's Twitter feed he writes Joe Biden's handling of the H. one N. one swine flu was a complete and total disaster the president also retweeted a fox news analyst brit Hume's message showing Biden in a black mask wearing sunglasses with the caption this might help explain why trump doesn't like to wear a mask in public the president has made clear he doesn't want the media to see him wearing a mask even if it is part of his administration's
Biden uses virtual events to target battleground Florida
"In the age of physical distancing the presumptive democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden has to Florida today virtually and peers Osman Khalid reports it's part of a new campaign strategy to focus on key battleground states the coronavirus has grounded Joe Biden's campaign for the last couple of months no rally since early March to his campaign is turning to virtual travel days his wife Jill Biden kicked off on Wednesday today we're trying something new a virtual visit to Michigan right here from our home here in Wilmington Delaware now Biden will do the same in Florida along with an event in Jacksonville hell do interviews with Florida media and host a virtual rally in Tampa this attempts to recreate traditional campaign travel is in stark contrast to his opponent president trump flew in person to Arizona this week trump won that state in twenty sixteen but polls suggest it will be competitive this November a small college
Jill Biden says Michelle Obama would be 'wonderful' as vice president
"I'd love it if Michelle would agree to it but you know I think she's had it with politics I don't know she's so good at everything he does that would that would be wonderful that is the voice of of former First Lady Jill Biden talking our former First Lady vice president of the vice presidents one First Lady second lady the lady I just I just discovered I didn't know we call Joe Biden but she was talking about of course her husband Joe Biden running for president and how they would love Michelle Obama to be his V. P. Peck not going to happen that Michelle Obama has made it abundantly clear she does not want to go back into politics and I agree with her I think when you look at certain people the charisma of the influence that they have you need to look at those people and and ask yourself in what position can they make the most impact no doubt and I don't think it's vice president for Michelle Obama I think that she can you know push forward whatever platform she wants to in another way not doing public service are being the vice president but we do need to be P. pac man and we are really closely monitoring who exactly that's going to be
Jill Biden: Joe will pick a VP who shares his values
"Names are being floated as possible choices for Joe Biden's running mate his wife Jill Biden said he wants a partnership like the one he had with Barack Obama shows has always said that he and Barack shared the same values and and that's what was so important to him and that's why they got along so well and I think that's who he'll look for a woman who has the same values that and that he does so I think that's really important
Sanders will debate Biden, instead of ending campaign
"We did have another round of voting for the democratic nomination for president and Joe Biden continued to extend his lead in the delegate count but you can't count out Bernie Sanders just yet despite for calls for him to get out of the race Sanders has said he will continue his campaign and participate in a one on one debate with Joe Biden on Sunday for more on this story we spoke to David siders he's the national political correspondent at politico I think in every way except for mathematically Biden is going to be the nominee barring some unforeseen event which could happen something could happen at the debate things happen in the campaigns but as it stands right now the road for Bernie Sanders is almost impossible it wasn't just for the lost yesterday thank you lost in Michigan which was key to his whole electability argument with white working class voters Washington where he won by more than forty percentage points in twenty sixteen that race was neck and neck so it was just a disaster for him with even harsher primaries moving to Florida election next week is not going to be kind to Bernie Sanders Georgia the week after that same thing so I think what we saw last night was a reset to almost we had in twenty sixteen where Bernie Sanders is now for the most part of movement candidate and Biden is the moderate who is on the cusp of being the presumptive nominee and that's where the debate I think is important to Sanders what poorly it may matter if Biden embarrasses himself with the debate or something significant like that happens more likely it's an opportunity for Sanders to air the movement concerns that he wants to hear so the debate is going to be very important for Joe Biden for his debate performances across this whole process have been a little even let's say there's times where he's done really well there's times where he's kind of not really been present or something so this will be important for Bernie Sanders who is very consistent on the debate stage at least but even in his remarks in front of his home you know he said let me be very Frank as to all the questions I'm gonna be asking Joe you know he threw out things I use in asking about climate change college affordability criminal justice all the things that Bernie Sanders constantly talks about so it's going to be interesting to see how he attacks him in that way and I from what I've been reading a lot of people are saying it's got to be somewhat delicate you know if you bruise is Joe Biden so badly that's just gonna make him look worse in a general election if that is what eventually happens I expect a tough debate by Bernie that's been a hallmark I think he's pretty good at it this is first himself had had with Biden Mike you said but has not always been great but there's two things I think you keep in mind one is that that Biden has been better the last week or so coming from a position of strength I think suits him and Sanders will be coming to the debate composition of weakness and the other thing to watch I think in Sanders remarks at the press conference in Burlington we saw there was a discussion about ideas but I think significant to where we are in the race he was not tearing down Joe Biden you didn't see a nasty attack on by then in fact he gave a pretty Frank assessment of what the campaign is electrically knowledge and that he's behind and I think that if you're one of these people who is looking for unity going ahead to November seeing Jill Biden on Tuesday night reaching out directly to Sanders supporters and then seeing Sanders the next day not undercutting by them as a person that was pretty significant and I think it's Sanders has his way this will be a fierce robust kind of debate on Sunday but it'll be one about ideas Bernie Sanders has always been about revolution and the movement and young voters and that he even said that in his statements saying I have the support of younger voters Joe Biden doesn't necessarily have that support there but it hasn't been showing up so much in these primaries that we've been having the younger voters aren't really turning out that much for Bernie Sanders what's the problem there Bernie Sanders in the press conference he said yeah we have young voters the electorate even more broadly likes the ideology a lot of the for progressive agenda that he's experiencing they just haven't been turning out for him and I think what this comes down to is that the selection did not turn out to be about Getty ology it turned out to be about the messenger and the message from the primary so far is that first of all in South Carolina African American voters preferred by and then once you got past South Carolina the broader electorate that young voters were not as energized as he needed them to be in everybody else one provide well Sunday's going to be a big day for this debate it's going to be a little interesting there will be no audience members because of the outbreak of coronavirus so out of an abundance of caution they're not gonna have audience members there and you know a lot of exit polls that said that people do trust the former vice president the most in a time of crisis so it'll be interesting to see what's going to happen at that debate and beyond to see if Bernie continues in

Charlotte, NC: Trump accuses Buttigieg, Klobuchar of 'quid pro quo' with Biden

"I love that idea. It's just it's perfect and i think that it makes way more sense to have someone who's trained to deal with someone who's suffering from a mental health issue as opposed to calling a cop who might escalate the situation and a lot of cases. We've seen someone die as a result of that all right so <hes>. Do you wanna move on. Let me give you one more statement by the way <hes> by bernie freddie sanders. He says we ask police officers to address every societal issue that results from the tears in the fabric whether it be mental illness addiction action homelessness or poverty. We ask these overstressed police officers to fill roles. They are not trained or equipped for doubling his social workers. Conflict negotiators is and medical responders last year. More police officers died of suicide then in the line of duty. That's really interesting point. I didn't even know that yes all right <hes> by the way now now there's also more massive issue stopping stop and frisk ending cash bail ending solitary confinement. Nobody talks about solitaire confinement and torture and we just do it regularly all the time without blinking. It's it's inhumane what we do. International bodies should should put penalties on us for how much we use solitaire confinement it is considered torture and most countries and we do it willy nilly to so many of our prisoners it's outrageous ages and love that they're thinking about that both worn in sanders and then <hes> and then finally <hes> marijuana so the difference here is <music>. Elizabeth warren wants to decriminalize and bernie sanders wants to legalize and so i i i think legalizing correct thing because when you decriminalize like well you can't legally sell it you can legally buy. I always find that completely irrational. So what are we doing. What are we doing that. You still have drug dealers. Don't get me wrong. Decriminalizing is a billion times better than what we have now where we have the gestapo going around and millions of people we've in prison for drug possession in this country which is just is based on. Marijuana is an absolute outrage so wars plan is terrific a million times better than what we have now and what others are proposing biden's like well well. I'm thinking of moving marijuana to schedule to drug. Ooh wow big change. Maybe a hundred years from now. We might go towards decriminalization. No end it. It's like having a beer. I still having this conversation look guys. If all you cared about was winning sixty. Five percent of americans want to legalize marijuana sixty five percent percent. If you live in a democracy it's not complicated politics so those stupid old democratic establishment way of thinking is you don't wanna go soft on crime you wanna show republicans you could break backs and be totally unfair and unjust to people as well especially minorities and then biden. We'll go brag about his poll numbers with african americans right. No the reality galaxy is americans are sick of this is both the right thing to do policy-wise and it's also good politics so their their policies for the most part are very similar similar. There are minor differences. <hes> there are some differences when it comes to language since we just talked about <hes> the legalization of marijuana i want to go to graphic ten and read a little bit it from elizabeth warren's proposal because she she has a very fascinating take when it comes to who we should go after when it comes to drugs i've proposed a new criminal negligence standard for executives of corporations with more than one billion dollars in annual revenue when their company is found guilty of a crime or or their negligence causes severe harm to american families instead of locking up people for nonviolent marijuana crimes..

"Can do so free of charge actually trying to help people. I know it's a radical idea. <hes> joe biden would <hes> say why not crush them. Joe biden brandon in that ninety four crime bill that you saw in the beginning bernie sanders early against <hes> that it would give sorry the ninety-one bill originally he bind said <hes> it would give everyone death sentences except for jaywalkers there was i think sixty one counts so it would give the death penalty in biden's ninety one bill and then the ninety four crime bill passed he'd like to ensure accountability strict guidelines and independent independent oversight for all federal funds used by police departments and federal programs that provide military equipment to local police forces so he brought up the issue of militarize police forces. I love that he did that. It's a real issue. I mean there's no reason why a police department needs military grade weaponry when it comes to policing their community <hes> let's go to the rest of it. <hes> he also wants to create a federally managed database of police use of deadly force god forbid you ever investigate anything so he's going to say look. Let's at least look at it. See if it's a real problem or not and of course what gonzaga no don't look at the information it'd be terrible provide grants for states and cities to establish civilian oversight agencies with enforceable accountability mechanisms uh-huh so he wants real systemic change when it comes to holding police departments accountable with real civilian input which is important also established federal standards tendered for the use of body cameras including establishing third party agencies to oversee the storage and release of police videos. That's also important <hes> far too often. You know there's video body cam video missing the individual the cop did not turn the body camera on on or turned it off right before there was some sort of altercation with a suspect so i i love this at his language to be fair is a little clearer when it comes to body cameras. I think he goes further because he would make it mandatory for all cops to use body cameras in elizabeth with warren's plan <hes> she wants to expand the program so add more funding to expand it but based on the language in her post about it. It doesn't seem like it would be mandatory. Yeah look they're both wonderful plans and i i actually think we still haven't gotten to the best parts <hes> but to but bernie does go a little further in a on a couple of issues and <hes> and i'll take span on then look the problem with local cops local prosecutors judging themselves as they all work together every every day so it's like saying okay. Tell me if it is something wrong. Well i mean i'm friends with anna. I work with every day. No if there's a charge that that that happened it should be removed to federal authority that is not working with them daily. Whether it's the tapes or is the prosecutor's investigation the database makes perfect sense he'd also like to mandate criminal liability for civil rights violations resulting from police misconduct and also banned the use of facial recognition software for policing. I love that there's also a new technology that would use algorithms to determine whether or not ought someone is likely to commit a crime and he even mentions that in his proposal and mitigating the negative impact of that type of technology so <hes> he is very clear about that now when it comes to police he also mentions look police are overstressed overloaded overworked and part part of the reason why is because there are municipalities that are relying on local police to deal with mental health issues with all sorts of issues that they're not trained eight four that it isn't even appropriate given their job titles so what he wants to do is create a system in which you have the appropriate first responders responders who would respond to someone who might be having some sort of mental health condition or issue at that moment..

"Month. Free all right. Let's get the rest of the news all the jails in the world and all the executions in the world will not make that situation right we can either educate or electrocute we can create meaningful jobs rebuilding our society or we can build more jails. One of my favorite everything about bernie sanders is that he has receipts. He has been railing against criminal justice and the two-tier justice system we have in the country that that was him in one thousand nine hundred four <hes> speaking out against the crime bill and he has proposed his version of criminal justice reform this week a little bit worn also did so. We're going to do a deep dive into their proposals. I wanna start off with bernie sanders. He released his proposal yesterday and according into his campaign website when birdies president we will finally make the deep structural investments to rebuild the communities that mass incarceration continues to decimate mate we must move away from an overly punitive approach to public safety and start focusing on how to safeguard our communities prevent the conditions that led to arrest and rehabilitate people who have made mistakes so let's go through <hes> the bullet points and just wanna be clear in saying that both both proposals are sweeping comprehensive. You could literally do a three hour. Show on these proposals <hes> but i'm gonna give you bullet points and elaborate as much as i can so one thing he would like to do and i love. This is banned for profit prisons boom. He's gotta go right so there should not be any type of of profit model. When it comes to incarcerating people this has led to mass incarceration and i love the fact that he would do away with them. He also wants to make things like prison. Phone calls and other communications such video chats free of charge many of these prisons <hes> will either work with third party companies or if it's a private prison is in <hes> you know there's a monetary incentive to charge the inmates when they wanna make phone calls to their family members in this case bernie sanders would make the call is free and say am. I sound like a minor issue guys but that's because you don't f._m. Member in prison <hes> some of the prisoners make the guards make the inmates work and what they pay them one dollar for a whole day of work not per hour which would already be outrageous for a whole day at work and then when they go to make a phone call. It's one dollar per minute so you can never talk to a loved one. It's you know that's the crime the way that they are ripping off. All the most powerless people in the country country is a and how did they get in prison deserved it some for smoking pot this is it this is a racket and they're going to end the rack both sanders and warren he also would like liked to audit the practices of commissaries and us regulatory authority to end price gouging and exorbitant fees so when i say that these proposals sweeping i mean it i mean he's talking about the way inmates are treated. He has a proposals to do away with the mass incarceration. This country's been dealing with for decades okay now. He focuses on police and how police should not be the first responders when there's someone suffering from some sort of mental health issue. It's just so comprehensive and so wonderful to see someone who has thought through these issues <hes> in a smart way real quick. I guess on the show that talked about that recently..

"Show me one day. He does a hey. I'm a little worried about that transition. I really wanted stretched out so the republicans can vote against one hundred times. Take it to the courts. Try to win elections to take it down. <hes> i'm concerned the transitions to short. There's not a single voter that has ever said that that is a stone cold lie and then the consulting class anna. They're not wrong about that either in the old days because they're stuck oldies in the old days. They just tell everybody on t._v. Okay hey listen. Tell everybody komo's plan is good and bernie's plant is bad and you don't have anywhere else to get information. New york times washington posts all the same bernie's a radical they call them a radical for forty straight years then they turn around and say well. Everybody's for medicare frolo anyway so we don't need bernie sanders anymore. Make up your mind new york times c._n._n. And everybody else so but now they can't control top down anymore but we had morning joe saying hey and we had the new york times repeated. Why won't they listen because we have the internet. We can just look it up to. We've got receipts and now she said in the beating those videos. I feel very strongly about medicare for all and that's my bottom line. Does it look like it was their bottom line now. If because look these pundits and honestly a lot of the reporters that cover politics terrible job they 'cause they literally literally legitimately or like confounded. Why do young people like bernie sanders. Why why why why do they like them because they looked it up and he's been as the same position for forty years. What's complicated about that. Why do you have trouble understanding something so simple that can you imagine here. I'll prove my point. Can you imagine if bernie sanders came out and said well bottom line is here for well. You know what no no. No you know what i'm not for medicare. I went to the hamptons and i talked to some people and i changed my health care plan. Look even if you ate bernie. He's you know he ain't going to do that. You know he's principal and that's what drives you crazy so calmly harris with your captains. Get togethers and your donors. I don't like bernie's medicare.

"News and and changing your story i mean that is the typical slimy politician thing to do. You want someone who's authentic. Someone who actually he has values and principles and believes in the policies that they support and in this case <hes> you see what a lot of americans have been turned off to <hes> when it it comes to politics. I want to give you a fuller statement. From kamala harris when it comes to medicare for all she says quote i think almost every member of the united states senate who's running for for president and many others have signed on a variety of plans in the senate and i have done the same all of them are good ones which is why i support them and i support medicare for aw but as you may have noticed over the course of many months i have not been comfortable with <hes> bernie's plan the medicare for all plan but that's in the same paragraph raff. I mean look this is a heavy insult as she's not like him in a thousand other ways but that paragraph sounded like donald trump joe everybody news for medicare for all and that's why didn't sign onto bernie sanders plan for medicare for all what was that what was that it was in the same paragraph. Does anyone know i'm honestly honestly if you just read that paragraph you have any idea of she's for medicare for all or not for i mean i assume says she you know attack bernie sanders that she's not for medicare here for all but right in the middle of the paragraphs. She said i've for medicare for all seats. You gotta understand his television. Pundits say that and they savvy now that it is a strategic politician knowing to lie to people because greg america's look at it and go that's gross. I can't stand that because honestly consultants think we're idiots hits that people aren't paying attention but they are. I mean we're two completely different political era one other thing that i really wanna point out to you was a statement from comma harasses mrs campaign spokesperson and then i want to give you the details of what she's proposing so the campaign spokesperson <hes> his name is ian. Sam says senator harris. I was hearing from lots of voters real concerns <hes> lots of real concern donors yeah okay specifically about proactively abolishing private insurance sure it's <hes> the four year transition so he's referring to the four year transition for medicare for all middle class tax hikes and so she came up with her own plan to adjust for those that frankly is better than his okay so. Let's talk about the transition when it comes to her. Proposal harris revealed her own plan in late july. We actually covered it in more detail. Check out that video which would make room for private insurers to offer plans in the system. There would also be a ten in year phase in the system had years there. That'll work ten years yeah so if voters are genuinely concerned about a four year transition period for medicare for all and by the way hey when it comes to children the transition would be immediate not four years <hes> you should be doubly concerned when it comes to a ten year transition period you don't why because a tenure transition period means. I'm not gonna do ten years. Are you kidding me right now. Okay so let's break that that because if comma harris wins two who terms i want her to terms her and she passes medicare for all on day one by the time she leaves office eight years later. It's still not an effect so for republican wins either against against her reelection efforts or eventually when she's out of office they immediately go. No we're not doing what kind of plan is that. That's not a planet all kind of plan. The private insurance executives in the hamptons love because that means. You're not gonna do it but the second part is more absurd. No no anna you gotta wrong sheet. She heard people are claiming they. She's heard from voters. I'm worried about a four year transition. I'd like a longer one. I'd like ten years before we get medicare prefer. I like medicare for all but i don't want it in four years. I'd like it in ten years. Which voters showed me one..

"I'm just to republicans but i'm a democrat got crushed in indiana. How many times they're you're gonna lose. What this strategy the one thing. I agree with joe biden none. We cannot risk losing the donald trump. That's why it can't be joe. Biden look last thing unbinding select back to this one is we've seen them run for president now like twenty eight times in my lifetime. I'm old enough to know. He was terrible in eighty eight and got crushed. He was terrible in two thousand eight and got crushed. The only reason we're having a conversation about joe. Biden is because he won a coin toss and instead of evan by barack obama said oh. I guess it's biden. I'll pick biden. He's never won a big campaign and then what happens they do the debates. That's where people can see him. He immediately drops napoles. It's happened both debates. They see him. He plummets after the polls but what's interesting is he. Then comes back up after a couple of weeks. Why one is yes name. Recognition people go yeah sure buying right but the main reason is in the next couple of weeks. The media picks him back up. They resuscitate him and they say oh. He's he's the most likeable most likeable. Every single pundit says. I want to protect my millions. Most electable most likeable most electable and then biden rises is back up in the post and then every time the voters even the debate boom and he dies back down and other ten points. He's not electable. God dammit. There are so stupid and they're going to ruin this country. They make the same mistake. I don't know how to get this message across to a broader group of voters but at at this point and especially when it comes to the primaries just make sure that you ignore all the noise coming from all these establishment figures. Don't don't allow them to fear monger. The primaries are meant to allow the party the voters to make the best decision and all this other stuff is irrelevant right like who has the best policies and who has the best political strategy for accomplishing those policies because remember the policy the proposals. That's only half of the equation right. Do they have the ability to garner enough political capital to get it done and are they willing to make members burst of their own party and more importantly republicans bend to their will. That's what matters someone like. Joe biden isn't interested in having anyone bend to his will joe biden is is interested in working with republicans and working with republicans when you're a democrat simply means conceding to republicans we saw under the obama administration for eight straight years and chill by admitting there that are his policies that are not as good healthcare. It's amazing. She's a doctor. You know he's always brian. Dr jill biden dr jill biden is like i don't like my husband's policies because they suck right and and and by the way it's not just that they suck in policy in according to the polling medicare for all no matter how much the liars on television cannot read a poll or lie about it on purpose is popular. It's an idiot loser. Harry reid comes out to oh shouldn't do medicare for all we will lose votes that way does should be our last priority. They can't read a poll. You say oh you you gotta look at the polls because biden's would be trump okay then. Let's look at the polls. When you say medicare for all pose great you say oh it takes away private insurance then you add. It takes.

I mean it's just such a stupid like not even shortsighted. It's no site like so you completely unaware of what's happening in america today with right wing republican voters. They're not interested in you. It's it's a proven failed failed strategy. How do i know it's not because hey i lo- progressives and so i think they might win. Look at the facts so in two thousand sixteen hillary clinton said i'm going to reach out to republican voters in the suburbs and i think they're gonna flip over to me and vote for me instead of donald trump how'd that turn out look guys. It's not the rub it in. It's because because you don't want us making the same mistake we cannot have donald trump win another four years and be an officer another four years. It didn't work. She didn't win. Wake up joe scarborough. Everyone on cable news wake up. She didn't win. Hillary clinton's not president. It was a stupid strategy. You know look. "The new headline tonight in the race for twenty twenty johny joe biden's wife dr jill biden and what she said about her husband even if he's not your favorite candidate that that should not be the deciding factor according to her. Here's here's mary bruce joe. Biden with a blunt appeal to voters may like another kennedy better but you have to look at who is suddenly her pitch the even if you're not with joe biden on every issue you should support him anyway. If you want to beat trump your candidate might be federal on healthcare. Then then joe is but you've got to look at who's going to win this election and maybe you have to swallow a little bit and say okay. I personally like so so better for your bottom. Line has to be half trump's in iowa today. The former vice president asked about his wife's comments she she was making the case. You should pick the person you could win because none of our issues will matter if donald trump wins that was the point. It's also the point he's making in his first. I campaign ad we have to be done and all the polls agreed joe. Biden is the strongest democrat to do the job mary any reaction tonight from the other democratic candidates well david no response directly to joe biden's comments but biden's opponents say they can beat trump too. Inslee to face Warren and Booker on 1st night of Democratic debates
"Political strategists, tell us they think governor Jay Inslee caught a lucky break regarding those debates Charlie harder tells us why Inslee is in pack field of contenders for the democratic presidential nomination. The party split the debate in two with each night, featuring ten different candidates. The names were randomly drawn and Inslee goes on the first night with the most prominent challengers, being Elizabeth Warren and Beto Aurora. He won't these Jill Biden, or Bernie Sanders which local strategists caveat tells us could give him a little more exposure. And I know it rocks everyone so deeply, but it also rocks. Teachers and in a different way. I think why is this happening, and what is our path forward. I think we just have to do more about guns. And you know, as a teacher as a mother, I keep thinking of the the young boy who saved the other children at you know, the classmates jumped in which is so incredible. And that one the one boy Kendrick who got shot. I just. You know as a mother who's lost a child. I mean, I stay in my classroom. I have to say to my students. This is if there is a shooter. This is what we do. This is how you handle it. I want you to get in your mind, a path of escape, and I showed them the exits and how to get out and think of it right now right today. How would you handle this shoot or cane often, it's terribly? Didn't have that that when I was. Oh, no, no. We never had anything like that. Elementary school kids have to go through this f breaking kindergarteners it's really age every everyone goes to. I was second lady. I don't know, you know, they just they were focused on their lives are community college students raising families, they're working they're going to schools. So anyway, it was may I was doing great conferences. And so a student comes in and to get her greats, and she said, Dr B, and I said, yes, she said I saw you last night on the television with my shell Obama.
