"Fifty five degrees right now. Mostly cloudy in Boston at six thirty. We stay in the fifties this morning that looks like we fall back to the forties this afternoon. Good morning, Intini gal. Here's what's happening. The federal government is officially in a partial shutdown outer congress and President Trump could not come to terms over money for a border wall. Both house and Senate lawmakers are journal until noon today, the Senate did not have the sixty votes needed to pass a funding Bill because all forty nine Democrats are opposed. The president is now blaming Democrats. And those Democrats turn say President Trump had a temper tantrum. This is Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders. Five billion dollars on a wall is not to me one of our priorities. And we've got to get our priorities. Right. And not just Trump solutions and Republican congressman Mark meadows of North Carolina. We spend more money on sugar subsidies. Then we do on building a wall on to secure our nation. I find that incomprehensible over to Nancy Cortez now. CBS news chief congressional correspondent officials from the White House, including the vice president had been on Capitol Hill meeting with congressional leaders. Batting ideas back. And fourth, but they are really trying to hit a very narrow target. They're trying to come up with something that a congressional Democrats can support and they've said point blank, they won't support any funding for a border wall. And they're also looking for something that the president can sign and he had been insisting on five billion dollars for a border wall. So it's very difficult to see where the middle ground is here. Now, partial government shutdown took effect midnight and a quarter of government agencies are affected, and as we hear from WBZ's. Karyn regal the longer any government shutdown goes on the more. You'll feel partial shutdown would affect over four hundred thousand federal workers nationwide and Suffolk law professor of government, Christina Coolidge of Akaka says about forty six thousand of those are in Massachusetts, the markets would not be happy. And depending on how nasty it gets. The president can expand the shutdown. That is an unlikely scenario however decision about what and who will be designated. Essential versus non essential is. Essentially up to President Trump. So if he really wanted to play hardball, for instance, and go to the mat, he could decide for instance, that TSA agents are considered non essential Karyn, regal WBZ NewsRadio ten thirty. According to the national parks are available not operate parks during this partial shutdown. No visitor services will be provided some agencies including the Pentagon and the department of veterans affairs and health and human services were already funded for the year in agreements that were reached earlier, and it's business as usual for those agencies closer to home that JFK library Bunker Hill monument and the Charlestown navy yard visitor center are all closed.

"You're listening to beyond reality radio. We're just getting started on this late Wednesday night edition of the program. Jason and JV have the week off enjoying a bit of vacation, Bruce markesan, that's my name, and I'll be the guest host tonight and tomorrow night as well. Our guest this evening is Christopher Fulton. Who has written the new book just out of November? It's called the inheritance poison fruit of JFK's assassination. Christopher Fulton once had possession of the closest physical evidence to president Kennedy's fatal head wounds and was also the first person since Robert F Kennedy to listen to JFK secret recordings in the Oval Office. Now, Christopher was born in nineteen sixty five just outside of Washington DC, and he could have been accepted at the US naval academy. But instead went into commercial construction, and actually I worked out very well. Well, he became very successful in that industry in Vancouver British Columbia, and then at the age of thirty three really during the height of his success. Christopher was extradited and spent years in federal prison for his possession of physical evidence in JFK's assassination. We're going to talk about all of this over the course of the two hours of our program tonight. We do. Welcome to the program. Christopher fulton. He joins us on beyond reality radio. Christopher welcome to the program. How are you? Good, sir. Thank you, Bruce. Appreciate you. Having me on. Let's begin really where the journey of the story for the book began and that was with the death of Evelyn Lincoln. She was JFK's secretary pick up the story of how do you get involved from that point? Well, first of all let me just give you some details quickly here. I've only can was president Kennedy secretary for twelve years that was when he was in the Senate and when he came. The White House, and he was she was the closest person to him on a daily basis outside of his brother, Robert Kennedy and subsequently she was the one that would they came into possession of all the the Kennedy Oval Office materials, the recordings, and and of course, through Bobby Kennedy says secret investigation into his brother's murder the firsthand physical evidence it was involved in his investigation. So I became involved answer. Your question. She had passed away in nineteen ninety five and did not wish these materials to fall into possession. Order the guys if any federal agency the NSA or the Central Intelligence Agency you or the FBI or even the JFK library or any of the above. So she she will these materials to a private citizen who she trusted and ensured that they would be at some point being able to release to the American public, or at least they'd be seen. And this person was named by Robert white. Rob way was a close personal friend of mine at the time this happened. I was contacted and we looked at book of these materials for the American public and a museum for the American public, which neither one of those things were allowed happened. So he was not related to Evelyn. He was just a friend. Well, he was a lot more than that. It's been a lot of time getting to know each other and trusting each other, and as as time went on, I guess Evelyn, she she and her husband had no family of their own and decided that he was the right person to go ahead and end up have these materials and to ensure that they would remain safe and beat the end and then be disclosed at the appropriate time. But of course, that didn't that didn't happen that way. And your friends with Mr White. And that's how the evidence came to you. Yes. That's correct. We were friends. And of course, he we both lovers of history. And he contacted me to review all the materials look over them with him. And then to a book on this which I was involved under contract with him to do that. And also he wanted to open a museum for the American public. But that the book was not allowed to happen that the museum was not didn't didn't go. Well, wasn't really going to be allowed to happen either. And. This is very long procedure. But it I can start going over it as we as we as we went through these materials and realize what we were what we were dealing with. I was initially contacted about it by ceases which is a Canadian intelligence service to let me know what I had was direct evidence that contradicted the story which. Fictional story of this aspiration with Robert Kennedy had used to prevent a nuke exchange with Russia following the his brother's assassination. And and then they contacted the CIA to let them know what was going on their affiliates and CIA, and then Robert white was contacted five President Reagan who was in California asked him to come out to his office. And then was briefed about all this with him saying that. Bobby Kennedy's evidence said he didn't know he was under the secrecy act in any way. And of course, the interested parties have testified twenty four this assignation records where people were under President Clinton. And they would be looking at confiscating these materials and classifying them. Now, you mentioned that the book and the museum and the way you worded. It was kind of interesting. They were not allowed to happen. Kind of implies that somebody stepped in or am I reading too much into that? No. It's. Oh, that's fairly accurate. I I realized that the some of the materials that I I physically had that I had purchased from him at the time. Direct evidence out in the assassination actually, the closest physical evidence to president Kennedy's head wounds that were used by Robert Kennedy time to determine what had happened in in Dallas. So I thought the best course of action and this was to contact the family and get the get that evidence back the family. I did. So in nineteen Ninety-six. I contacted Caroline Kennedy through subsidies. Warranty. Whiteman was the vice president there at the time. And then he he he handled the Jacqueline Jackie Onassis sale. So I thought it was the best thing to do is to contact the family and get this back to them. Now, she came in and out of New York, and she spent about an hour or so reviewing this in private, and then they said that told mister Whiteman and she had to confer with her uncle Ted Kennedy about this. And and wanted to do it, privately, of course, no transfer took place, and I was given no direction at that time. So that was. That left me somewhat in a precarious position. And that's this moves forward. We we started to make this public in in nineteen Ninety-seven in late ninety seven ninety eight in New York. Donald Trump was involved in that and bringing some of this stuff to Trump Tower to show the public there was an auction. If is taking place so that we could get some of this out and discuss some of this openly with the with the press, I was asked to do interviews on CNN and Katie Couric, which I turned down, of course, it'd be evidence was presented on those programs. But I didn't I didn't wanna talk about it specifically. And then when that happened we had the Justice department get involved and make they came on board and said, this isn't going to happen. They they made by Robert Whiteside private agreements with their with the Justice department and with the Kennedy family, and then of course, came in and confiscated on numerous occasions materials. He had both of us were put on a. Security oversight offices radar and said that we had matters of evidence of national security concern, and this material was not to be made public, and we weren't allowed to own it possess. It even though this has come through a court process. The Justice department took a position that that wasn't that wasn't legal. The the barrels were supposed to be confiscated under agreements that Bobby Kennedy had made back in nineteen sixty four Nick nineteen sixty five. And obviously, we knew that that wasn't true that as we review these materials, we knew that this materials that we had Bill outside of those agreements. And of course, JFK junior realized that at some point two he got involved with his lawyer. And so the Clinton's lawyer get involved with this. But the. The evidence that I had in my position was such that they weren't gonna let me testify in front of the AARP. Robert white was subpoenaed by the Justice department, and that subpoena was very inclusive, but I I was compelled to testify as well, but they weren't gonna let me do that. So they so they issued a seal warn indictment for a tax position that happened to six years prior. And then brought me in under that. Now, did you meet Caroline Kennedy face to face? No, Caroline Kennedy. Did not want to discuss this with me. The I'd given them some heads up on this material and she came in right away. And and had a private meeting at Sotheby's like I say about an hour, and when that took place, she took them with her and laughed and gave no direction to me at that point. So I that's the only contact. I had prior to JFK junior attorney contacting me and nineteen ninety eight. I didn't have any more information from or any direction from the family whatsoever. So you never heard what Ted Kennedy thought about it. I didn't know though in Mike my court case, he was Paul Kirk who was the head of the what's his attorney and headed up, but the library there. He was on all my materials. So they knew what was going on with me at all times. But the I I got no direction from for Ted Kennedy. No. Did you feel that the people that you reveal this to initially were they skeptical? Did they look at you? Somewhat of scans thinking you're looking to exploit the situation. How was that initial tree? Well, of course, my Turney who is a in the marines. Formerly in a very smart dog. Man had had informed me that this could be looked at as a as as a black male situation for them. And of course, that that's why I went through subsidies and the way that we did we we'd drew up private agreements, and he was entered into a very with the the bro them acting as a broker in between this. So that would not be construed as such and the very careful to do that. Because if I had but handling a different way, it it very much could have been construed as a possible blackmail angle, or I could have been working for somebody and so forth and so on. So we were very careful on how that was handled. But again, even with all the in between and the brokerage brokerage of this and handling it in such high regard. They they gave me no direction at that time. At that point. Did you kind of regret that you had obtained this evidence for Mr White to do think I've gotten into a situation here that is not ideal? Absolutely. I mean there there's no doubt about that. I I was in possession of of key physical evidence in the assassination of the president of the United States, the evidence that Bobby Kennedy had used as the attorney general to just to quantify what had happened to his brother..

"Date is fifty seven out right on point back to normal again. It's just the sixteenth of November on this date in one thousand nine seven Oklahoma became the forty six state of the union just to the south of here. Ted, the sooner state and every year since then they've beaten our guys in football. Dan, great state known for football and oil gas, of course, native America's long history with native Americans course, it's a great state, Oklahoma. Yeah. Llama is. Okay. It's okay. By the way, we talk about sometimes about the fact that I don't really have never really liked musicals as far as movies or stage place. I oklahoma. I did enjoy that. It's a great show. Like that one a lot. Did you hear about the latest tweet from president Kennedy question, you might be hearing soon without some form of weird time travel involved. The JFK library foundation has launched a new project that takes actual quotes from the slain thirty president and tweets them out. Using the Twitter handle at John F. Kennedy foundation says his goal is to use a twenty-first-century medium to share Kennedy's oratory to a new generation who only know him from history books and news clips, he was quite a speaker. John F Kennedy and the first president to really take advantage of television. Although. It's my understanding that Eisenhower did televise alive. News news conference or cabinet meeting or the other. I think it was a news conference. He was the first to do that. But then, you know, Kennedy after Eisenhower, and he he was a master at TV he when he was on the campaign trail running for office. He he got the TV guys out there and really took advantage of that. So John F Kennedy? You get to three from the president. We got now you can get from Kennedy, lots of lots of entities do this. Now, I think will Rogers or are they doing site. They'll put out quotes from will Rogers on social media and things like that keeps their brand out there a little bit. Okay. The JFK museum, by the way, fantastic. Visit never been near Boston. Been gotta go rate. Let's see one of the ones I've been to LBJ in Austin. I have not been to that one. You have. Oh, yes. I did. I have I didn't go out to the ranch to go out there. Of course, the Eisenhower is in Abilene. And then right? Not too far from there is a Truman's running independent. Excellent. So those are the ones I've seen I guess. All right. The average and we talked about this earlier and Ted got in such an uproar. I don't know if I had to bring it up, again, the average thanksgiving dinner will not up his money as much money this year as last year. Now, we're comparing from year to year and Ted Ted has issue with the numbers. But here they are this is from the Kansas farm bureau, their thirty third annual survey, and they looked at the prices to feed. Ten people plus leftovers, and they said the average is forty eight dollars and ninety cents down twenty two cents from last year's average. Of course, the Turkey is a big item and a sixteen powder this year going for twenty one seventy one which was the that's the lowest since two thousand fourteen for retail Turkey prices. You're of the opinion that nobody can feed ten people for like forty nine dollars. Okay. They've got usually twenty one or twenty two dollars for the bird right now partially at least their list that says they were a gallon of milk to ninety nine right. A dozen roles to twenty-six a dozen roles to feed ten people. I have one rolled out. Everybody's a pig at the table. Okay. Here's the deal. I like roles I probably won't eat any a mighty one of my rights. To nine inch pie shells to forty five a three pound bags sweet sweet potatoes. Now, three fifty two sweet potatoes. I don't like sweet potatoes. So you can find something wrong with all of this green peas, a dollar fifty three zero one pound bag, and let's see and items including coffee in ingredients necessary to for the meal butter evaporated milk, onions eggs to seventy two. So you're thinking you'd probably you don't think you can do it for under way way way. You just name names like six different items said to seventy two of course, the pound of butter. Yeah. They've been here. Yeah. Eggs are not very expensive sugar and flour up. You think that's where they hedged right there. I mean. Yeah. A little I mean, the farm bureau, they have invested in my family is going to send me to the store probably to get some roles, and maybe some beverage. Yeah. And maybe one maybe some corn gonna send you. Okay. I mean, I'm going. I'm probably drop down ten or twelve bucks just on that. And that doesn't include the Turkey and the potatoes and all this other stuff. I just I don't know you have an issue with the Kansas from euros survey. I'm sure there. They're numbers add up and all that. I'm just saying I'm just saying if you sent your wife to the store with forty eight bucks and said, okay, we got a feed ten people on this. She would be challenged. Well, I'd I'd have I'd say leave out some of the stuff like potatoes and gravy and stuff like that. But you know, I think they're looking barebones here. Okay. Got to share this story out of Pittsburgh where a woman is facing charges after allegedly throwing several cans of spaghetti O's at another woman's vehicle. Uh-huh. Spaghetti who's canned? The victim said that as she pulled up to a building for a meeting. A woman approach and began throwing cans of spaghetti O's at our vehicle doesn't explain why police said the victims vehicle had a broken back window. Multiple dance was smeared with red sauce and pieces of pasta the spaghetti oh attack in Pittsburgh. Why she was upset doesn't say something was wrong cans of spaghetti anger. I just had him spaghetti O's yesterday. Did you really haven't had spaghetti O's in years? I'll tell you what you're doing thanksgiving dinner was spaghetti os. You can do it under forty under forty bucks by can of chef boyardee for a buck. Spoken like a guy who's been to the store. Yeah. That's my lunch baby. All right. Hey, the three priests. These are three singing priests, and they have been known all over the world. And they're gonna stop here in Wichita Ted at the orpheum theatre on November twenty third at eight PM, and we have.
