"The weekend. Good morning, Matt. Good morning. Help going Good. Good look like they're hanging 10 on ABC starting tonight. What's going on here? Well, surfing's becomes something kind of big on TV. Lately. HBO just finished up a series called 100 FT Wave where you've got these surfers gathering in Portugal. For these incredibly huge and unpredictable waves, where they're risking their lives, and it's been kind of an interesting series. But now we've got a bit more conventional competition series beginning tonight on ABC. It's called the Ultimate Surfer. And this time the surfers are working on man made waves that's called the Surf Ranch should certainly landlocked California but it created this machine that creates Perfect waves over and over again. There are only six ft, not 100 ft. But that's still pretty, You know, remarkable, I suppose, given what they can do with them. So what you've got here is you've got these teams of male and female surfers, young ones trying to break into the the the international circuit. And so they're competing against each other and also for us spot on the the World Surf League, So it's kind of interesting. It plays out like a regular competition show. There's somebody who actually says in the first episode, I'm not here to make friends. I've heard that A million times, But at least they've got skills and which is more than I can say for those idiots on bachelor in Paradise, which which proceeds which perceives the show, But nonetheless the ultimate surfer If you're into surfing, it's a passable summer competition and were toward the end of summer. So maybe this is the right time to watch surfers go at it. But HBO is also renewed 100 FT Way for a second season, so I guess surfing. It's still big on TV. I guess is it just a couple of episodes? Or is it the whole It's going to run a couple of weeks. It's going to run this week. I think Monday and Tuesday, and it might run that way for the couple of weeks. It'll be gone by the time the full season begins in late September. Alright. A couple of cult comedy some of your favorite, too offbeat comedy is back this week. Yeah, Two shows are not on a lot of people's radar, but they're two of my favorite comedies, and one of them has been around for a while called Archer Archer is the animated spy spoof that's kind of like James Bond on acid. It's going into its 12th season began on FX. Now it's on the Splendor Network fxx. And it is just a really funny show These these agents can barely shoot straight, but they think they're all that. And this is the final season for Jessica Walter, who passed away recently, she plays the main character serving archers, boost swelling Mom, also his boss that despite agency, she's just amazing, But all the voices are funny here. The drawing is very stylized Archers. A terrific show we're discovering, but it's in it's 12 season. They're beginning to feel their age. These agents are, but they're not going to admit it, but it's still fun. And then that begins on Wednesday. Then on Thursday, there's another comedy that begins second season that began on comedy Central. But like so many things on TV now they're moving into streaming away from regular television. So you have to watch this on HBO Max, But the title is the other two, and the other two were prefers to two of three siblings, a brother and a sister, who were just born losers in New York City. They've been living in the shadow of their younger brother, who became a big Justin Bieber like pop star in the first season, but now he's off to college. Now this brother and sister are living in the shadow of their mom. Molly Shannon from Saturday Night Live. She's just amazing, but she plays she plays their mom has gotten herself a daytime talk show. It just keeps talking about our kids all the time. Of course, the brother is a struggling actor. The sister is a would be talent manager. They can't ever catch a break, and now they're moms talking about them on TV all the time. It's really funny. It's from Loren Michaels. It was one of those shows that could fall under the radar, but between Archer and the other two, there is a reason to laugh this week, and that's good enough for me. And that one's called the other two on HBO. Max. Yeah, because on Thursday, Yeah, all right. And finally, this week Broadway shows slowly reopening, right? Yeah, to acknowledge that fact. There's a few shows already performing on Broadway, but it's really going to open up in September. And, of course, that in stages all over the country have been dark for so long. But now they're coming back to life to celebrate. That fact, PBS was putting together what they're calling wicked in concert, one of the most popular shows of the last 10 years. Wicked. They're doing a concert version with a bunch of stars coming in to perform the performed the hit songs from that score as the sort of the twisted version of The Wizard of Oz on stage and the original Tony winning stars Adina Menzel, who played the Witch Alphabet, and Kristin Chenowith, who played the Nice one. So supposedly Glenda and the Latina Menzel in Christian Show what they're going to host the show. But a bunch of big voices are going to be singing the songs, including Cynthia Areva, who is a rising star who just played Aretha Franklin on TV read. Marino, our favorite Egat, Jennifer Nettles, just the former cast members of glee and bunch of young people with big voices singing those big songs from Wicked and It's just really a sign that theater musical theater it's coming back, you know, and and Broadway itself is going to come back to life soon..

Right is a little jarring if you just watching one three five exactly and we see that. There's a little bit of a rivalry in this in this episode. Where we have the i guess. He's a male bellhop the same meal guy. Yeah you know the guy. The you know the in this cart full of fan milk for betty and then one postcard for leicester that basically says since you work with her on the show. Walter shows died wednesday at the age of eighty and so much of the attention. She's gotten in. Recent years was for her work as lucille bluetooth on arrested development. She also did amazing.
