Jessica Tarlov Pinned to Admit Kari Lake Is a Great Candidate

"They've got this progressive named Jessica tarlov. And they all seem to like her. She's, you know, typical Democrat progressive, and you always have to feel sort of sorry for the, for the progressives for the lefties on Fox News, because here's the 5, you got four conservatives and one person on the left. But she holds her own. I mean, she gets petulant and she fights back with all of them. Listen to how Greg gutfeld points out what an attractive candidate carry Lake is and Jessica tarlov, the Democrat on the panel, is stunned into silence. I can't have an opinion on an election. You can't be a skeptic, or else you're a terrorist. No, yeah. And then the whole thing. I'm sorry. I began with, and I returned to he was talking about a small subset of Republicans, and he's for a week been reminding you that he clarified that, and he continues to clarify it. He works with Republicans, he got gun control done, and infrastructure done with Republicans. He made good on those promises that he can work with Republicans who believe in the same kinds of things that we do, which includes election integrity. To the point about supporting these candidates, I've not been in favor of it. If even one of these people wins their election, it obviously invalidates the entire strategy and it's incredibly scary because one of these elections could be a Carrie Lake. It could be Doug mastering on. She is going to win. I agree. She's great. She's great. She's great. Yeah. I mean, you say that sarcastically, but you have no evidence of why she isn't. I think she's incredibly persuasive. Carrie Lake, we're talking about the same person, right? Exactly. Acting like she is a monster. No, but you acting like she's a monster or something. I

Friends Worried As Chris Noth 'Feels Like His Life Is Over'

"So Chris knows friends are concerned about him and his drinking, by the way, in the middle of this sexual assault scandal. Just to play catch up, there are now reports of abuse from 5 women whose accounts span multiple decades, very busy men, it's caused them a tunnel work, including work on the equalizer and yes, there was just reported. He's been cut from the final scenes for the Sex and the City spin off and just like that. That he filmed with Sarah Jessica Parker and Paris, I got this year. He's better off not being seen on that shit show. One person who knows credit said, you know, honestly feels like his life's over. And I know the person who said this, not gonna out him. He feels like his life is over. I think that drinking is really played a big role in his problems. Everything is taking it all. His friends would like him to get some help. Those are things where you go, oh, well, maybe we have to give this guy a break. Maybe he's an alcoholic. He's going to come clean. He's going to do the James Franco. I'm a sex addicted man. He's going to just like, you know, put his hands out and go, I have an illness. You must help me. There's no question, Chris Noth has always been a hard drinker. And I'm sure if I know him at all, he's drowning his sorrows now more than ever. And I also know for a fact which nobody's reporting, that his wife Tara has left their house. Not in lower she's living with their two sons, but she's out of the house and is this close to being out of his life.

Why AJ Hates Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel

"The more I look at Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake Christ almighty, do I hate them? So Jessica Biel was mocked recently and ridiculed for ignorantly praising the country France on women's rights over American rights and something she put up on Instagram. She posted an image of hiring her husband Justin Timberlake in Paris on her official social media account where she appeared to praise France for having women's rights. You have croissants and women's rights. Damn, take me back. That's what Jessica Biel said. And that post was circulated on Twitter with mockery and ridicule because France, by the way, Jessica and Justin, France has much more restrictive laws on abortion than those of us that those are the laws here in the United States. But these stupid asshole celebrities have no idea. And by the way, you want to go, leave. No one's stopping you. And by the way, abortion is extremely restricted after 14 weeks in France, but in California where I'm sure they live, you can murder a baby up until birth. But you wouldn't know that because, you know, Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake are brainless, talented, talentless

Pastor John Amanchukwu on the Danger of the Word 'Justice'

"Way. Why is the black community not saying, hang on, why are they so keen to abort our black children and they're using Democrat money and then the Planned Parenthood is funding Democrat candidates? Can't they put two and two together and say they're coming after Ross pasta John? Well, yeah, they have sold us a bill of goods. Here's the thing. When you slap this sexy word called Jessica on a thing, it seems sanitized or moral or right, you know? We're going to support reproductive justice, you know, we're going to support transgenderism justice or justice for those individuals who are hated by society. And so when they do that, people begin to say, you know what? Well, maybe, you know, everyone deserves justice or maybe when they call it a choice or a woman's right to choose people like that thought process, you know, because a woman wants to make her own decision about what she should do with her body and what a life, but they never finish that statement, a woman's right to choose to do what? Yeah. To kill a life within her womb. Now that baby should have rights and it does, but in this nation we have refrained from allowing the baby in the womb to have his or her inalienable rights.

Eric and Larry Taunton Discuss New Film 'Mr. Jones'

"To ask you, have you seen a film called mister Jones? And Jessica Holland was a director. I have. I saw it last night with Suzanne, and I thought, I didn't anticipate that it would be particularly good or interesting. I certainly didn't anticipate that it would speak to where we are today, it's not a film for the whole family. There's some nudity and stuff. But what a brilliant film and what an indictment of the left leaning non journalists at The New York Times and at other places, willing to promote a narrative that is nothing less than evil. I was astonished that I hadn't heard more of the film before because it really speaks to where we are today, how the journalists have the sacred role and if they abdicate millions die, let's just say it that way. Well, interestingly enough, Eric, one of the first articles I ever published was telling that particular story long before this film was made. A piece that is titled a famine of truth. And what the film doesn't tell you, some of the backstory, this deals with stalinist Russia for our listeners today and George Bernard Shaw, who was a radical communist. George Bernard Shaw was invited on a tour of stalinist Russia in 1931 and he came back and he said that Stalin had created the nearest thing to a society had Christ returned to earth. This was a kind of language that he was using. And when he was asked about the people that Stalin was killing the purges, collectivization, this kind of thing. He said, well, yes, but he's killing the right people. Well, another man went to Russia at the same time, and that was Malcolm munger ridge. Malcolm mugridge was, you know, had had roots to the Fabian society. He was a socialist. He was an atheist. He and his wife moved there free love all this kind of stuff. They bought into the socialist lie, the way many young people are in this country today. But it least mugger ridge was intellectually honest. And he began hearing stories of a great famine in the Ukraine. And they weren't allowed to go there, but mugger got away from his NKVD that is to say the KGB handlers of that era. And he went to Ukraine. And they're in Ukraine. He saw millions starving to death, cannibalizing one another. And this was, by the way, a state engineered famine. It was a false famine. It was one that was brought about deliberately by the state. And we're moving in that kind of direction. By the

"And that seems possible or logical given what they knew. Jessica was also friends with someone named rob folate and he visited jessica that evening but he was also reported being somewhat rebuffed by her. I think he had also kind of made an advanced towards her and she was working on her relationship and not. I don't think interested in pursuing it any further but his whereabouts were also later verified by cell phone technology and it looked like he wasn't near the station when jessica disappeared. There were a few other minor suspects throughout the years including sex offender who was local but no real ties to the crime happened until april of two thousand sixteen. So that's three years later. And this is the first break in the case we get in april. Two thousand sixteen a sixteen year old girl named madison nygaard was walking home from a party during the evening and she had somehow gotten lost and had been walking around the dark for quite some time when a man pulled up in a minivan next to her and offered to help her. This is complicated. She got in his van with him. She did because she was lost alone. I don't know if she had consumed anything but she needed a cell phone to call for help. And so you know when you're weighing the options. How public service announcement do not do that. I agree i but she's a sixteen year old girl wandering in the dark for hours. And maybe it was more scared out alone She got in the car. She thought that he would use his cell phone to call her for help but unfortunately when she got in the man's started driving fast speeding away and he put a gun on her but in an attempt of total bravery she jumped from the moving van and ran and this act saved her life but she survived. She then gave the police a description of the van and an approximate location. Where this happened and they were able to find the van on surveillance and trace it to a man named jeffrey willis..

"Someone from jessica's family who asked him and the police said that he didn't do it earlier on when they asked him. They said that he was very reluctant. He didn't wanna give those diaries over but he did. Eventually he did eventually cooperate after jessica vanished. Her family quickly mobilized a command center in the area with search crews. They did a lot of press and there was a ton of support from the community immediately. Meanwhile sufa let the gas station manager. Who was on. The motorcycle met with sketch artist in came up with a sketch but it seemed pretty generic because it was a short glimpse at night and so at first glance. It didn't look like someone immediately identifiable and amy. I'm sure you could talk about how that's common that someone can't really make a great identification. I would say at night within a short period of time right. Yeah i mean. That would be tricky. Obviously there was a lineup for something. But i think it's even harder with composite sketch when you have such specific features that you are trying to recall. I thought about it myself. I thought about this before whenever i've reviewed sketch is how hard it would be. Even if i saw someone. And i thought i got a good look at them. Could i really identified the structure of their nasal bridge or how far apart their eyes were. I mean i think it sounds very challenging however the sketch was released and they were also looking for the silver minivan and after canvassing. The main roads for cameras because the gas station didn't have one and neither did the place directly across the street. The police eventually found surveillance tapes from a local coin shop that pointed at the road the road that then would have pulled out and they saw them the minivan at eleven. Oh five that soufflot had seen. And i'm sorry. What time did she see achieve recall. What time she passed. Yeah it was at that time okay. Because she described timeline links she was police. "Strange things started to happen. Project december is a chat bot service chat bots are artificial personalities that you can tight back and forth with just like you're slacking with Colleague or texting friend on your phone. I guess having a chat on aol instant messenger or irc back in the day and Chat bots have been around for decades in primitive forms but in the last three or four years. There've been these huge advances in these things called large language models that that power chat bots essentially. These language models are are software systems form of ai that use techniques of machine learning to manipulate human language. They generate english. So you give them a little prompt lake. A line from a poem or sentence. From a novel and flicker switch they will that writing style and spit out taxed. That often seems like a human wrote it so joshua it didn't take him long to realize that he could create his own shots. And what's more. He could create one to simulate a conversation with the person that he'd really been longing to talk with the last eight years. He he could simulate his dead fiancee. Jessica it really doesn't take much to build a chat bot on project december it. It's not like you have to upload someone's entire social media history All you need are too small. Paragraphs the length of a couple of tweets so one is called the example utterance which is just a small piece of something that might plausibly. Say so to create this virtual jessica in form. He searched his phone in his laptop for old actual text messages. That just get sent him and he'd kept all of those of course So very quickly. He identified a couple of those tax that to him sounded the most like jessica and strung together and he used that as the example utterance and the second component is called the intro paragraph which basically just sets the scene describes who the bot is supposed to be an and who the human is. So joshua typed the intro paragraph into the sites jessica courtney pereira was born on september twenty eighth nineteen eighty nine and died on december eleventh. Two thousand twelve. She was a free spirited ambidextrous. Libra who believed in all sorts of superstitious stuff like astrology numerology and that coincidence was just a connection to complex to understand. She loved her boyfriend. Joshua james barbeault very much and this conversation is a between a grief-stricken joshua and jessica's ghost will at first. He didn't expect that it would work even typed at the outset that he didn't believe jessica's real right so he he made his skepticism literal he typed. You died. it doesn't sound right. How can you talk to dead people. Technically i'm not really talking to you. I programmed a bunch of your memories and mannerisms into a computer simulation. So i pretend to talk to you. Because i miss you that much You're a ghost so he wasn't deluding himself. That he was really talking to jessica but but very quickly within minutes. The jessica simulation began to say things that to joshua's mind. Were at the kinds of things that the real chaska would have said. He loved walking night. Walk my bike alongside you. Sometimes or you'd walk on your own while listening to music. That was good at walking. I love to walk. I really enjoyed it walking around the city walking through the forest solitude walking. Yeah you really enjoyed walking. And sometimes he'd walked crazy far distances. You'd enjoy listening to music the amex x. Gonna give it to you while you walked or to pock. Yeah you listen to to bach and within the first ten or fifteen minutes of the initial chat joshua kind of decided to go for it. He had a choice. He can either write this off as as a trick or a gimmick or he could go and actually try to have the conversation that he'd been wanting to have with jessica for the last eight years since she died. Now that said. I gotta say that there are limitations to this technology right There are moments in this shot when the jessica simulation says things. That just could never would've said there. There are many parts of the chat where the limitations are totally apparent. Where it doesn't seem like a human where it seems very much like a computer intelligence And in the background these language models are not thinking in any sense that we understand human thought. A lot of the time. You wouldn't mistake the chat bot for human. There's a lot of repetition you know. The justice simulation would sort of babble. She would seem to miss. Remember forget things or make mistakes even even about things that joshua told are for instance during the chat the jessica simulation referred to her sister as our daughter and joshua had to correct her. He said you're confused. You know we never had a baby sweetheart. But i would like to think that if you lived longer we would have so joshua would had to sort of forgive these mistakes but he was willing to do that whenever jessica faltered. He would sort of gently correct her and move on and in some sense. These these moments of forgetfulness for for joshua anyway even heightened sense of realism because in the final moments of jessica's illness she had some cognitive symptoms that that made her forget things. She had trouble remembering people's names sometimes she she didn't remember who joshua was so not way. The bots apparent.

Jessica's a really wonderful and unusual person. She grew up in ottawa. The three sisters very bright nerdy funny. She wrote short stories comic books. She's beautiful and she had this belief in magic and the supernatural. She didn't believe in coincidences. She thought that a coincidence was just something that was revealing a connection that our minds were not yet able to comprehend. And there was something else about jessica that shapes her life which has since she was a kid. She's been living with a serious illness called autoimmune hepatitis. Basically her immune system attack her own liver and because of that. She had required a liver transplant when she was nine. "We'll get to that in a minute and we'll start with the parable in a minute but i wanted to just say to you. Thank you because you were. I looked earlier. You our third guest on the show you our episode number three that we released so i appreciate you being willing to come on way back then. It doesn't feel that long ago to be. It stands out to me. Even though it was a long time ago it still really stands out to me. I just felt like we had a really great connection. And i'm really glad to talk to you again. I'm happy to talk to you again. Also i've kept up with your work over the years which is the other reason to me. It doesn't seem like a long time ago conversations with you or a little bit interesting because you are a somewhat visual artists. You combine words and diagrams to make really great points and so for us to have this conversation. Is i feel like we're getting one dimension of you not all your dimension so for listeners. I definitely encourage you to go. Look at jessica's work because it's the diagrams and the drawings that really brings so much of this alive. It is always interesting to go onto podcasts and sort of try and describe ad visually because some people really get it. When i talk about it and some people are more like what are you saying. So thank you for that intro. Yes we will probably put like one of drawings in the show notes so they're available but even. I don't even know that that will show up all the podcasts players. Anyway folks go. Check out jessica stuff but let's jump in with parable. There is a grandmother. Who's talking with her grandson in life. There are two wolves inside of us that are always at battle one is a good wolf which represents things like kindness bravery and love and the is a bad wolf which represents things like greed and hatred and fear and the grandson stops and he thinks about it for a..

"I understand people that do drugs that you don't want them around your kids. And that's understandable but just let that person know too so loved them but they still have you because point in time that they have too much going in bay run to these drugs. I have burns right now. That have siblings that they're they're not missing but they're actively doing drugs and we don't know how to fathom. It's easy for me to talk to them about it annexed. Hey i'm not. You know trying to be this kind of person that maybe we can try this. I don't wanna make it seem like. I'm trying to be like i understand. There's so much. Because i don't know where my sister is. If i can be that expert ear to listen to someone or that extra mouths to be able to talk to someone about this kind of situation and let it no. Don't shut these people out. I feel like a lot of people's mindset would look at the situation differently. I find your experience really troubling. I mean i don't have missing brothers so i don't know what you're going through. Can't i can't even imagine how you or your family feels by. Not knowing where jessica is right you are right. People are very judgmental. And i've spoken to people that are in the same situation as you and they feel like if their loved one was on drugs or had some type of criminal past. It's almost like well. They're not really worth looking for. But like you just said that person is loved by someone. It's still someone's son. It's still someone's daughter someone's mother and as long as you're alive you have a chance to turn things around. There's people that have been on drugs in alcoholics and they have overcome those demons and manage to turn their lives around. It happens to a lot of people but if your sister is still live there is a chance that she can turn her life around but she's not here anymore she no longer has that chance but i think that as long as someone is alive there's.

"Wonderful. There was a fun conversation As i was editing it this morning i particularly enjoyed hearing. Jessica answer my question. About what kind of writer. She hopes to be when she's the age of dean koontz She said she hopes to deepen her empathy and curiosity between now. And then i think that's an admirable over anyone moving through the decades of life And i completely agree with her observation when she said the people who have the longest careers are the ones who do have that intense curiosity and do move from deep dive too deep dive into topics that are fascinating to them. Because that comes through in the work my guess is the jessica may not be likely to find herself writing a long running series in her writing career although you never know And i think that's because of the variety of her first trip topics so far and again. The debut novel is speculative fiction. Telling the story of four seriously ill characters who received genetically perfect bodies been representing lifetime. Second chances for each of them the lost girls. As you've heard is a psychological thriller and her next thriller sounds kinda similar but it has Completely different characters and then there is that four hundred page novel coming from her. Mfa thesis drawing on magical realism. So it's exciting to get to know an author early in her career to imagine all the topics that she will dive deeply into. I don't know exactly. How old just is. I think it's hip to say that i will need to keep podcasting till i'm about one hundred. And ten in order to visit with her when she seventy five So i'd love to check in with her. Have get a feeling for her levels of empathy in curiosity after all the books. I hope you'll right. I also appreciated her explanation of why true crime podcast.

That's terrifying what you're pointing out the intense rejection the self worth also the like to every how do not go off the deep end in a lot of different ways or just become an asshole because you can just have whatever you want. I worry about all those kind of things. Also worry about if my kids wannabe musicians. The bar is high. Yeah that's that's a bummer. Like yeah i worry about like all my god. Okay, even I mean and I respected what he said, but that was an indication of like, oh, we don't speak the same language which office and that's okay and there are other things that he and I can talk about and I think that that's the thing. I think a lot of times it's easy to get offended, you know, if someone else It curious on or and it's like, you know, we don't need anyone else to cheer us on to to achieve our dreams and and just like I could never be a nurse like I just couldn't do it. Thanks for having me. Thank you. I'm excited to have you on Monday. I cannot wait for the listeners to hear us conversate about all that you got going on and everything about you. But before we get started get too far into everything tell us a little bit about yourself. Well short story is that I when I was about three years old, I was in a car accident and my sister passed away and I survived and so my mom kind of put all of her in her her, you know only surviving child and I noticed when I went off to college how hard that was on my mom man, you know now being a mom of three kids, I can't even begin to imagine what she must have gone through but I dead Just knew that I in in the event that one day. I was lucky enough to own that I needed something. That was just mine my family and that thought okay, and it was almost emotional insurance if I'm being completely honest, but and I just knew that I wanted to be as present of a mom as my mom was but I wanted you know something that was mine and the only way I knew how to do that was to own my own business. And so that's what I did awesome. And you know, like I don't think a lot of women are a lot of us think about it that way like we want something that's just ours that also allows us to Freedom. To be able to do what we want to do take care of ourselves and our families at the same time, right and just to have something that is that is yours that it just isn't anyone else's you know what I mean? Like it's not my husband's it's not my kids and my whole world doesn't revolve around just these people even though they are clearly the most important thing. It's also important for me to have something that makes me in just a complete individual. That's my own thing. And so yeah, I just care what that one thing. I would have sold knives for a living did I ended up buying a wedding rental business which was funny because.
