"And then I think it was Jesse, Jesse Meyers, BTC, Croesus on Twitter. He had like a 10 million dollar Bitcoin of which that Medium article was reposted by Michael Saylor. So you like, you know, it's like the general consensus in the Intelligentsia, so to speak, is this 10 million dollar Bitcoin price target. You're completely just destroying that. You're like, no, this seven billion dollars. So how did you get to that number? Does hyperinflation need to happen in order for a seven billion dollar Bitcoin? No, it doesn't. And this is where I think, look, you know, probably the most enlightened of all Bitcoin is I feel is Jeff Booth with his with his commentary around it's impossible to value a, you know, a system, a new system from within the existing paradigm. And this is where I think he is 100 percent correct. Then we have Knut with his everything divided by 21 million, which I think is directionally correct. And then I'm a very distant third in trying to bridge a gap and a financial framework slash modeling thought experiment to get us to bridge the gap to what I think Knut and Jeff Booth talk about. And this is where the reason for coming up with that business model or that framework for valuing Bitcoin was twofold. Firstly, most people don't really understand the upside that's left in front of us. Everyone thinks the returns and the best of Bitcoin is behind us. But I actually think the best Bitcoin is in front of us. And if I gave you the option today to buy Bitcoin, if I could take you back to the year 2009 and buy as much Bitcoin as you wanted, everyone would fill their boots. But my point with, you know, building a framework on thinking about Bitcoin as a billion dollar Bitcoin is twofold. Firstly, to tell people that today is the day that you can buy Bitcoin in 2009 and there's more upside in front of us than behind us. And second, as a way to help people avoid the carnage that comes with investing in altcoins, you know, Bitcoin's a roller coaster ride to riches and altcoins are a roller coaster ride to financial poverty. And this is where if people understood how much is in front of us with Bitcoin relative to everything else and on a risk adjusted basis, they'd just buy Bitcoin and we wouldn't have to worry about altcoins and the rest of it. We'd just get on with improving society. So that's, I guess, the fundamental premise of why I talk about a billion dollar Bitcoin is to help shift the over the window for people to think about Bitcoin could be billions of dollars and all we need to do is really buy and save dollar cost average in it to get to that valuation. So there are a number of ways to to get to that billion dollar valuation. The first and the most simple model, I think, of getting to a billion dollar Bitcoin is thinking about firstly, Bitcoin is the best form of money that's ever been invented. And I'll go into that in the sort of second framework for thinking about Bitcoin. But the first framework is really simple in that we've got six point three trillion dollars of global trade on a daily basis. That includes the forex markets, the rest of it, which is probably a highly inflated figure. But let's just work with the numbers that you can Google today.

"And you don't have security there. How about security footage? How about cameras? I tell you what, we just had Halloween, right? I just read this with just a Jesse Jesse watters. What's his name? Jesse Kelly, I watch him on Twitter's hilarious, right? And he said those past, he's right, because I have cameras all over my house. I can pull up any image of any kid from Halloween that was around my house in the 24 hours. They have a $25 refrigerator and they don't have cameras at that point. Of course they have cameras. Yeah. Not one video released of this man breaking through a window. Other thing, I saw a photo, the glass broken glass, which had the outside of the house. How do you do that? Hey, get in here. What do you beautiful son of a bitch? I need you in here. What's he trying to leave, perhaps? Did he attend? Was a self defense? I don't know. I didn't try to get away from him. Whatever it was. Whatever it was. This was at least Paul wasn't driving this time. At least he loves it. Maybe he was yelling wears dancing because Paul was doing some bad things to this poor guy. Where's Nancy? Jesus. By the way, where it was Nancy. Dancy was in D.C., so Nancy out of town against Paul hires the house's male friends couple. My wife is away. Sometimes I'll have a male friend over. We drink beers. We don't do it in our underwear. There's no hammers, duct tape or zip ties unless we're working out a project, which it might be. Which may require zip ties and duct tape. But usually we're in a barn doing that working on a boat or something on a tractor or something. And our underwear, right? At two in the morning. If there was somebody else in the house that let this guy in. Okay, so this guy, if this guy is coming to your point, to your point, what that first thing to cut out, but a security footage. Okay, look it. If he did break in, show the security footage. If he's in his tidy whities, we can block it out, right? They're not doing any of that. We all knew, right from right from there, right from the first second, this smelled like crap. You knew exactly what was going on at that household. And he's been on a bender for months now. It looks like. Oh, yeah. He topped it off with, you know, as gay buddy coming over. Was this the same guy who was in the car when he got the DWI? There was somebody in the car when he got the DUI, which has been completely disappeared, by the way. Somebody else in the unnamed, right? So somehow this guy got into the Pelosi house, passed a security pass a security cameras, passed a guy who let the police in the front door when they not. I mean, who called the police? Was it this guy going? I don't know, things are getting pretty rowdy up there. What happened here? Certainly looks like he was trying to get out. The FBI extorted it. Let's go to the men. I think you'll find the door open here. You'll find it back to right slider here.

"Meta quest. But so metta. Sarah book twenty seventy seven roadmap has been updated in any updates plan for twenty twenty one have been pushed back to twenty twenty two glowed. Honestly this is good news. Refocused twenty cyberpunk twenty seventy seven refocus and they do sign of sort of a soft rerelease if you know what i mean. The road map shows free next console console updates for quarter one twenty twenty to update it also shows updates improvements and free free. Dlc's again there. I i guess there were some updates scheduled for twenty twenty one and now they've all been pushed back to twenty twenty two Again i think this is a good thing. I think this is a cd project. Red getting some elbow room getting some room to update this thing and try to get it in a better position next year. I will say. I will say that like even though a lot of people i mean people love to shit on cyberpunk twenty seventy seven and rightfully so in a lot of people come out and act as if you know cd project right came out and took their first baby you know their first born and sacrificed to the gods and but people do that with all kinds of shit on the internet and it's just kinda like welcome the fuck down anyway. Cyberpunk twenty seventy seven road. Matt has been updated and to me. I think it's a great thing. I'm just saying you know i've traditionally been a nintendo gamer. You really young. When i was first getting into the sixty four and stuff and i'm always used to that the game is going to be another two years out and i'm like cool cool because i know when it comes out when it finally does come out. It's going to be ready right. So anytime a game is pushed back updates or push back or anything like this always it. I'm always for the developer. Getting more time. I'm always for the developers being able to sit back and actually do their job and not get rushed into doing something and you know especially getting pushed into this kind of crunch culture thing. Pack south end it for the time being. Yeah this is from packs. While each of our new of other events have flourished some of them drawing hunting trip hundreds of thousands of attendees from around the world packed. South has expanded has an expanded and to some extent has remained the same show that it was when we opened in two thousand fifteen faced with that reality and compounded by the impact of cove in nineteen. We have made the difficult decision to bring packs out to an end for the foreseeable future in quotes they add it their announcement quote where sir to all our friends who friends who were looking forward to. The show's return in two thousand twenty. Two we join them in that but we hope to see you again at all our other events impacts return in quote and it's kind of unfortunate this has end because the reasoning behind. It is obviously not only kovic. Nineteen like in nineteen has ended a lot of public gatherings but one of the big reasons it sounds like the pack south is ending is because it's just not growing. It's not getting bigger and it's probably just not worth worth it for pack to or packs. General should just continue this. And the only reason i say that's unfortunate is because i feel like in my mind it should be okay to have some of these smaller shows and keep it that way. A lot of people were saying when i was reading about this at least in the comments or is read it or somewhere. I can't remember what i was reading. Or maybe it was in twitter that they were one of the reasons they liked. Pack south is because they were able to. It wasn't crazy like a lot of these conventions you go to and they're just fucking nuts you know the comic con in san diego etc etc. They're just it's just nuts and you know that's always fun but it's it's always good to have some of these smaller shows but i understand i understand pudgy. Jesse get off of this. This is annoy your no and so the graphics if it ran if whole let me get into this so i saw the the frame rate issues a saw that almost immediately i would say within the first ten to fifteen minutes of the game especially the first kind of action that occurred in the game the game in the game and that was expected so that wasn't a huge deal. It's still disappointing. It still makes me want to. It still has me looking forward to getting xbox series acts here hopefully within the next twelve months and playing the upgraded version when that gets released within the next twelve months in really seeing this game is about and it also it makes me. It makes me think that. Maybe i'm not going to complete the game and i'll wait so i want that real true. I experience from beginning to end to be on an upgraded council. Which i'm okay with. I actually didn't play grand theft auto. Until i played on the completely threw on an xbox one which i played it before grand theft auto five. I played it before on the xbox three sixty not all the way through. And i'm kind of glad because upgraded version the slightly upgraded version spokesman was better and so i think i might do the same thing for cyberpunk twenty seventy seven just to get that real full complete experience now. You're listening to this well first of all. Let's get in could lower jesse jesse. You need a focus. Okay go get your medication and take it and just focus. Okay okay. the issues the technical issues with cyberpunk twenty seventy seven. I'm sorry it is fucking friday. I am tired and yeah so cyberpunk twenty seventy seven technical issues. Besides the frame rate the random. Where things won't load is the other issue in that. I did find. I found that it it was. It was pervasive enough that within a few hours of playing it popped up one time for a character model. Maybe two times. I would say one time and it popped up for maybe one other thing..

We can shoot the interior house in oklahoma and then we can go shoot just next year out in actual bakersfield california bright and So that's the plan right when we get back from principal photography the first thing. We'll do co. shoot those plates in california and arizona. send them off to the editor and then if there's anything else that we need to get you know the rust belt or something like that. I grew up in right outside philly pennsylvania so like for me. "We've got the deepest of so we're gonna do for other listeners. We're going to do a little draft so we're going to select are five most patriotic songs when listeners. Here this episode. You will be able to go to the various parts of america's social media accounts in vote on who had the best draft or just talk shit to us. There's no stakes here. This is just fun to just come for the ride. So when folks pick their song feel free to make little case for why. It's the best. We're going to define patriotism broadly. I assume so. We'll start by drawing some names out of a hat to see who goes first and then we'll do a snake draft. Okay love it number one. Pack on. i'll kick us off okay. Lemme lemme draft the others real quick. Okay we gotta get our order number two jason number three. Ira bringing up the rear here. Okay dear diary all right here we go my kicking us off. You are all due to at the end because with the snake. Well she explain shuji. Explain for the for the for the audience out. There is not perhaps versed in the snake draft. What the snake drafted it is. He's been pretending. I've said he's a pro people jason's bro so the snake draft worst is whoever picks i goes than to go second third fourth and then the person who drafted fourth so me. I'll pick two then. We'll come back around to love it and he'll do too right. So that's that's how you don't get screwed if you're at the end. So think about the way snake moves like in this kind of squid. Fashion greg os. As the snake hits the end the fourth pick. It then comes back and so forth picnics again. And then when it gets to the front the formerly i pick now picks again and it. Does this whole swim. Like i said he's press squid. Don't tread on me now now. now do not it. All right. i'm gonna kick. Offs is an anthem for our time. And for this moment is a song written by. Will i am auto knows. Jeff grosso anthony preston and ruth anne cunningham along with the singer of the song britney spears who lead signal. The was the free two thousand. Thirteen album britney. Jean the song is work bitch but it was edited for radio as work work. I will share some lyrics. I think capture both the american experience and the ongoing tragedy of spears captivity. Here we go. You want to haunt bonnie you want a bugatti you wanna maserati. Better work bitch. You wanna lamborghini sipping martinez looking hot in a bikini better work bitch you wanna live. Fancy live in a big mansion party in france. You better work bitch. You better work bitch. You better work bitch. You better work bitch. Now get to work bitch. How is it that we did not understand that these songs were cry for help. You know love it. I know you had to read those lyrics. What's your point of the month the taco shell. Wow you're it's getting personal early. Everybody jason you're up with your second verse pick well. It's not only a great july fourth song. I see it as a great song for moving to los angeles which is a move that i made several years back. You know hopped off the plane at lax with dark dream in my cardigan lyrics. By jessie j. I love that. The british person wrote this song. Vocal by miley cyrus. It is of course party in the usa an anthem for our times and anthem. For all time and addictive number. I love the song does the does the geography. Quite make sense that she would hop off the plane at lax. And then looking to the right. See the hollywood sign. That doesn't quite track but love the song anyway party in the usa. Taking the ten to the now this is all right because when south and then again. Jessie j a british person wrote the song. So that's fine. You know what. Jesse jesse j is a great singer. She can blow a great singer in her own right. I love her. Yeah that is true. All right ira okay. We'll unpack my first choice. You know inspired by the ongoing drama with the filibuster And the people in the democratic party. I'm picking where the party at by jacket edge featuring nelly Because also you know whenever. There's american holidays. I'm always like where the part yet. That's a good one. That's a real good one. Okay my so. I think ira as classic is always bound in. There goes where the party. I have done that my first pick pick to my first pick. Sam cooke a change is gonna come one of the greatest voices in the history of the world. The song became an anthem for the civil rights movement. We will all look past one night. Miami and how underwhelming that film actually was have the most interesting people in history in a room together. Maybe have them do something. Just a thought but that's my first pick My second pick is green day. American idiot was down of post. nine eleven hysteria. Don't wanna be american idiot. One nation controlled by the media. Information age of hysteria is calling out to idiot america. How perfect is that Shoutout shoutout to the person who would lean over. And say this about this about bush your second. So my next song is by an icon linen craft. It's american woman. Plan out by now and the lyrics sort of is how i feel about american women. American woman stay away from me. American woman mama. Let me be the american woman's a white wall now okay. That's an assumption. I think we we get away. Okay report oh right. And who could forget of lowest. Here's artist. I just want to say that i love this. Pick both for its essential essence in and of itself. And the fact that famously lenny. Kravitz split his leather pants. While performing this song the clip then going viral. An amazing moment in american history did indeed let it all. Hang out he did. Gosh i'm good for my next pick. I'm going to go slightly met this song. I love this song. It's not just a fourth of july song. But i think specifically it works really well on the fourth it is katy perry's fireworks a firework. Excuse me now i. I'm so glad you cut that now. Do i dock it because because the opening couplet is. Do you ever feel like a like a plastic bag drifting through the wind. And you know that being a reference. I think to a scene from a bad movie. That i'm not gonna name because the the movies bad and problematic Yes i do dr points for that. But i still think the chorus is addictive and katy perry's agreed pop songstress and i love to hear this song. The fourth july can love. You got to. I got to And and I really appreciate that choice. Jason i I understand why. You don't like that film but i think that anyone who hasn't moved by two teen saying that there's so much beauty in the world. They don't think that they can take it about a plastic bag. Floating in the wind has no has no as iran's frankly and i disagree with those who say that there was some sort of collective fucking delusion about that movie when it came out and what like ninety ninety nine eight. I want to say something like that. Yeah we think that was profound. Why did we. Why did people will go man the plastic bags seen that holy shit. There's something i always remember for..

You read it in a little book. The difference between i think the difference between an artist and a person who who pretends to be an artist aspires to be an artist is it a real artist. Remembers to have a pen with them so that we may see funny sandwich name they can write it down. I think like fucking andy warhol the difference between andy warhol and like my kid could do that is. Your kid doesn't carry a pan and when they see of subway station in a foreign city that has a funny name. They see cock fosters. Andy warhol would write that shit down for later in case in case he wanted to do something with it. Can i try. Can i just chest something out here. Because i think tony you're right. I think that this is going to keep coming up and you will get those kind of like vague kind of like hetty questions. Where do you get your ideas teacher. So just i think i have. I think i got a great answer. That's gonna kill two. So ask me where i get my idea jordan jordan. Where do you. Where do you get your ideas. Their whispered to me on the wind. And then i just don't explain it i just don't plain it and the people like wow that fucking guy. He's really you need lists troubled. He's full of shit. Take the tima really. Listen listen to the wind to the wind. Gaden i would. I would hate to take time out. You're listening to the wrong. I mean talk about feeling like you just gotta haircut and there's hair all over you. My worst nightmare is to have time to really sit with myself. Think about what's important and then create. Sounds horrible to me. you should create. You should create an panic because your health insurance is about to run out. Yes yes this this is creativity. This is our gear in your on sort of points based health insurance. You have gotten you gotta run out so frantically start creating so you can keep your health insurance. This is my process. How do you think picasso. Pablo picasso the greatest visual artists of the twentieth century. Certainly the most celebrated. How do you think he thought of having a period where all his paintings were blue. He's just like my fucking.

"This whole thing just make you like just unnerves me now. I think it's a really good fight. But the whole thing so haunting you find that yeah and i find the movie made an impact. I mean it got ok reviews but it basically got dumped it played On video on demand and then a month later played in the theater briefly but then disappeared. And there's never been a sequel to this It didn't help john. Hypothesis early. didn't make another movie for six years until he made a little league gambling movie And he's he made a thriller that came out last year So it's weird to think like these guys should be stars in just the casco's and Atkins and it never happened. But that wasn't the end for atkins. 'cause i don't know if it's like the international pre-sales thing because you have all these usual suspects. I mentioned in either again. That nicholas cage in the temple contractual obligation article to really get a sense of of you get the more she diamant. Samuel the dida avi lerner lending films new image all that stuff atkins continues to work and he makes about three or four movies a year. Now they all go direct to video but he has a following but it's mostly overseas. He's got like ten million facebook fans and he interacts with people. A lot of he does a superb. Podcast called the art of action going to get him on this one. I mean you can try. He's he's a good. He seems like a good guy. He wants to promote. I mean during lockdown. He started this this podcast. It's really good as called the art of action. It's on youtube on the interviews. All these people that he worked with director stunt people actors everything but his head. He makes three or four movies a year and they don't you know there. Some of them are good. Some of them are bad. it's a mix he tends. You know what you'll find is. If he's working with isaac florentine jesse jesse johnson those tend to be better Most you have people like outlaw. Vern covering him or the podcasts. We've got a clip from atkins undisputed. There was a podcast years ago. That i'm sad to say Did not sustain called a the atkins diet which is a marvellous title but it was only about a handful of episodes and they stopped doing about five years ago so so you know atkins is very students. Got a lot of knowledge about action films. Those those interviews are really quite good especially for guys not a natural interview. he's he's exceptional added. You can find some of his movies on. Netflix was watching a debt collector Which is which is like If you mixing elmore leonard movie with a fighting movie like a war fighting movie jesse. Johnson does not do well with gunfight. So whenever there's a gunfight of the movie tends to be not great but the fighting and the the sort of vignette nature of debt collectors excellent so much. They made a sequel. Which isn't as good doesn't really isn't as tight but has its moments in the his partner in the debt collectors. Mary entertaining and once the debt collector really gets going. That's where it truly excels end in the end. The sequel the debt collectors. They do an image to They live. That's really quite good. That the alleyway fighting they live between roddy piper. Keith david. that's a pretty good seen but like for instance in the first collector. There's a scene in which his partner is trying to intimidate a guy to get some information out of them. And then in the foreground of the shot in the background of the shot. Scott adkins is having a full on brawl. And you're just watching the expedition over here and the fight over here and it's totally working in. It's funny in. Its charming as long as there's no gunfights. The whole thing. Works that stuff on netflix. You have movies like enjoyment which atkins produced And is probably his masterpiece since universal day of reckoning and then you have some lesser movies. So the stuff you did for studios like hard target to the big warning signs. I got atkins movie is if he has an american accent. If he's got an american accent run away he can't do it. It prevents his acting. And it always sounds odd in the dub targets who is such a waste of time. It's not any of the director's name before it's a studio project like the low budget arm of the studio It just looks cheap and they have clearly money to do Expansive camera work with. They don't want to do it. The the geography of the fight scenes never makes any sense to action stinks. It's a complete waste of time Interesting because we do have a clip for a movie. He was He was supposed to be the star of But it because it required an american accent. He probably why he didn't get. Let's take a look..

"Just trying it on the abiding thing, but being disrespectful if you just go back and look at how he treated everybody during the debate, and he called the president a clown. I mean, right now with me like you do as I do, But don't do you know whatever you do, As I say. You need like student government for 40. Some years, all the blood. You gotta brainstorm all the sudden you gotta treat people right? She's got an agenda, you know, But I mean, you are right about the debate, though. Like he did get a little hot under the collar during the debate. How do you and you know, I hate to take the stance. But how do you battle Because we're talking about that first debate. I believe that was the most unhinged thing in American politics race. How do you get into that scenario and think that you're gonna keep it above board like, so I don't think you or me could have avoided saying clown and probably a lot worse. What about coaching somebody? To do the right thing. We all learned from our mistake. You got to give somebody a shot. If you do it over and over again. Yeah, but by But you know what? You can't just you know, 86 them is finished. They, you know, look sauce, you lose him. We like you lose it once at work. We should coach you a little bit like, Hey, that's unacceptable. Don't do that anymore. You're on warning or notice or whatever. Is that how we won't teach our kids? No, thank you very much. Great call. All right. But if you'd appreciate that, well, you know the thing is, is that every It's not like there's a disrespect 0 M. And if you hit a certain notch on it, you're gone. I would still venture to think that everything will be taken. You know, a case by case basis, So I don't think there's anything necessarily wrong with just setting the precedent of if you treat people like crap. You're gone that in the that be the jumping off point, and then you still handle each Situation on its own drug alive. Hello? Who are you? Jesse Jesse. Just I was just trying to figure out what your song was. I've been digging that for a minute. I cannot figure out what it is. Yeah, It's a 1979 tracked by the cure one of their first songs, and it's called I dig you and they had a way different sound than the Mobi postmodern new wave sound. That's almost coffee that I love. Yeah, that one caught me off guard. Thanks a lot, man. A man. No problem. I just realized he was e thought It was a decent, honest, I didn't think it was in these knots. But now I think it should have been in these nuts just added to the to the soup of all this political kind of talk. Did you see that? People are mad because after Joe Biden signed that deal that you have to wear masks at any federal landmark or whatever. Then he and his family were not doing so do you. Does that make you feel any sort of way? No other people not wearing mask doesn't make me feel any kind of way. I don't like hypocrisy and government. That that's the only thing I told you this off the air today I realized over the past four years what I really didn't like It wasn't that I loved trump or felt the need to defend him. I hate that. People just wanted to constantly do nothing but pile on him just based on who he was, and it hit me over the past 24 hours. That's what's annoying me currently is the people who just want to pile on everything. Joe Biden does that. All aside, it's you really do paint yourself into a serious corner. When when you're a politician. Who is going to, you know, preach the man day whether it be a quarantine, whether it be a mask because then you are held. You were held to all of those standards. So I just think that's something that politicians across the country need to be. Mayor made more aware of that. If you're going to push a restriction on the people, you do it. You can't then flaunt it in front of people's face. People hate hypocrisy. I think more than they hate anything right now in the government, and when you got to be damn sure if you're gonna if you're gonna tell people something You better do it, too, Or just don't not do it. And the thing is the common sense. I know in my brain. I'm sure that that entire Biden family had been tested. God knows how many times leading up to the inauguration and then being there. You know, in front of Lincoln wasn't the equivalent of me visit on a Tuesday afternoon, but that's still you never want to hear and well, it's different for me. You never want to hear someone say Well, this is my me and my family. We were tested and we're good. I didn't mean it for me. I meant it for you. Don't put yourself in that position, but also as a consumer. Don't be so quick to go. Americans do, especially when Lot of those same people just champion, a guy who wouldn't put on a mask to save his life. And that goes both ways. People just don't you know, I think that did start under Obama got astronomically worse under under Trump. And now I think there are going to be a lot of people who feel like they need to get the revenge. Now that every single thing that happens in this country here fourth will be buttons. Follow question. You gotta live below. Yes, Ice cream struck truck still delivering.

"Stuff from howstuffworks dot com. Be there and welcome to tech stuff. I'm your host, John and Strickland. I'm an executive producer. And I love all things Tech and today I'm going to tackle a topic suggested by listener Jesse, So shout out to Jesse Jesse wanted to know more about Midi. What is meeting? How does it work? Why is it nearly synonymous with computer music? And is it actually a type of music and of itself? I'm going to tackle that last question first, because that was just an easy set up. While some people use media shorthand for a computer music, the two are not exactly the same thing. Midi stands for a musical instrument digital interface, and it's a protocol a set of rules that allows a synthesizer or MIDI controller to send data to a computer or other synthesizers. In a meaningful way, And in fact, no sound is sent through many at all, which might seem a little strange to understand Midi and how it works at first behooves us to go into a little history on synthesizers in general, starting with analog synthesizers. Now an analog synthesizer isn't electronic musical instrument that makes use of various components to produce and shape sound. These components can be modular. In fact, the earliest analog synthesizers were entirely modular. You had to get a whole bunch of different components and patch them together with cables. This is what we call patches in order to make any sort of meaningful sound at all, and certain modules are in charge of creating certain effects or sounds. Modules can include stuff like oscillators filters and voltage control amplifiers typically has synthesizer has at minimum three basic modules. The first is an oscillator. The US later job is to create a bass tone. This tone is what the rest of the modules can shape to create the different Pitches and effects that change the shape of the sound and also later causes energy to move between two states at a particular frequency. Now, this is easiest to imagine. I think with a physical oscillator like a pendulum. If you push a pendulum, it will begin to swing or Ossa late. And one full swing is one full oscillation at the height of its swing. All of the energy in the system is potential energy, right? It's not moving. It's at its highest point. That energy converts into kinetic energy as gravity takes hold in the pendulum swings downward. This swinging is the oscillation but also leaders will eventually run out of energy due to lost in the system. This is that love thermodynamics. In this physical example. Friction cuts down on the amount of energy within the system. It actually means that you're losing energy all the system due to heat. In circuits, oscillators lose energy due to electrical resistance, So it's very similar. The point being that unless you continue to pour energy back into the system, it will eventually run down because it Will lose enough energy so it doesnt perpetuate itself anymore. But again to the physics of oscillators would take up a bit more time. So let's just leave it at the idea that there is a component within an analog synthesizer that generates a steady frequency that serves as the baseline for all other modules in the synthesizer. The second component in a typical synthesizer is the mechanism for controlling the oscillator, which is usually a keyboard similar to one on a piano. You could use other means to change the way form, though, for example, there a men's use fluctuations in the electromagnetic field to affect the baseline wave form, though precise, complete control of the signal isn't really possible with such an instrument, even under the control of a skilled player. The keyboard or pitch wheel or whatever consent. The oscillators frequency will affect the pitch. The frequency of the sound and how we perceive that sound are directly related. Lower frequencies produce lower pitch sounds. Human hearing ranges from about 20 Hertz or 20 cycles of a sound wave per second. Up to 20,000 hurts. As we get older like me, those upper range is start to get harder for us to perceive. This is the principle behind some anti youth anti loitering strategies supposedly employed by certain convenience store owners. Which have reportedly resorted to playing very high pitch sounds that adults can't really here because they've lost that ability. They've lost that range of hearing. But those lousy kids and that mangy mutt can totally hear it, and it irritates the heck out of them so they don't stick around your store for too long. The third component found in typical synthesizers would be the filters and effects you can apply to the sounds way for him to change the nature of the sound the feel of it. These filters let you select which elements of the frequency can pass through to an amplifier so that it can hit a speaker and be heard by gate keeping elements of frequencies. You can change that shape or nature of a sound, which is why you could have a synthesizer take on many different sounds, even though it's starting with the same basic wave form. Beyond frequency or pitch and amplitude or volume. You can also manipulate the change in volume over the life span of a sound. So if you press down on a piano key quickly and firmly You'll notice that the sound is initially loud and then fades off. And when you let up off the piano key it will eventually stop. If you mess with the sustained petals, you can push down that same key with the same force and hear it play out a little differently. And we describe this process with synthesizers by dividing it up into phases, and they're called attack. Decay, Sustained and release or a. D. S. R The attack describes the time it takes from the press of a key. Or the Knoll Sound zero volume to reach the peak of that key's volume. The decay is the time it takes to go from the peak of the volume to a designated sustained level. The sustained is the volume of sound that should play until the respect of key is released by the player. The release time is the amount of time it takes for the sustained volume to decay to know again. The various effects on synthesizers can change these elements creating louder or softer sustains. You could even have a sustained that gets louder than the attack if you wanted to. And you could have longer or shorter to K times and tons more effects. It helps create a more dynamic experience with.

Start listening to your show about a year and a half ago and really loved getting know each of you even squid word, Miss Thing for women old enough to be his grandma. I guess. Technically true. We don't sum was 55 years old. He's 23 anyway. The reason I'm riding is because I got dumped again. Oh, apparently, I'm really crappy at relationships. I'm not super sad about it since I don't really like this last guy that much But Dang, don't me during the holidays. That's rough. I feel like Halsey's battle. Love was written about me. You play for me? Thanks. Okay For Gina is Halsey embedded love on Jared and Katie's Aml Hometown Countdown request back home in Michigan, and it tastes like Jacqueline. I'm just synonyms never really likes friends that he's gone, and he's calling me again like I did Listen to Grand Day and he told me that we make it till we graduate. So I told him that the music will be worth away. But he wants me in the kitchen with me. I believe I believe I believe the moments you'll be jealousy. You're gonna see Jesse Jealousy get the best of me. Look, I don't mean a frustrated but I always make the same sex. Yeah. All right, mate. The same sex Christ. But you can't blame me for trying. A history come back, Got a girl in California eyes and she could really bitter one in this town that I never got the chance to make a man because she fell in love a little thin. One life funding girl with attitude would never told No one. But he looks so cute, but he's got way you better things to do, But I always think about a little You believe believe, believe, gentlemen, duty. Just say you're gonna see Jesse. This Meeting is Being Recorded

"Welcome back everybody thank you for tuning in. Again we've taken a couple weeks off in having recorded. WE'RE GONNA. Get. A little punk nibbles going here for you You know one of our short episodes GonNa be s a little bit. Talk about what's going on and we're going to kick this off with what are you listening? Sorry what are you listening to as an aspiring teacher? I should probably know how to speak correctly. Right So this is Aaron and I'm going to pass over to Mike and say Mike. What you've been listening to lately. Yeah Hey guys what's up? How you guys doing Pretty well, he did ask you a question, but I'm okay with just not answering just ignore the question they ignore the question completely and just see where this takes us. Yeah as someone who wants to be a teacher I should get used to that sort of thing. Yes. I'm just going to say Mike has been listening to Miley Ray Jepson. Because he really likes the way she sings and the fact that she uses words. Mouth Worm. So now we'll kick it over to. Jesse. Jesse what have you been listening to? Yeah. Have you heard of? Mandy Moore. But seriously. We actually have some news about the podcast, not not just what we've been listening to but. We recently joined. A network of podcasts called Pantheon podcasts were like pretty excited to be a part of this group. Pantheon podcasts is a conglomeration of sorts of that have been assembled of many different podcast specifically with the theme of Music, and there's tons of different podcasts that are on this network and we encourage you guys to A. Check out some of those folks that are on the. On the network with us there's quite a few shows on their own. We joined up with them recently and I've started familiarize myself with. A few of the podcasts on there there's a few that like I definitely listen to myself indefinitely enjoy Have you checked out any of those from Pantheon Mike Yeah Yeah I've been listening to some. It's pretty cool. So, what some of our listeners might see is our show will will show up in the Pantheon feet as well, and we kind of encourage you to Not only subscribe to our show so that you get new episodes as it comes out but also if you go the beyond. If you search pantheon on your podcast amp you'll find their feed, which like they put out a bunch of different episodes of a bunch of different shows and something new is on there every day So no matter what style of music you like there's something there that my interest you there's also some really deep kind of like music history shows on there that are like more investigatory kind of stuff. one I've really been enjoying is the show no filler. And maybe we can connect those guys at some point they seem to like some of the same music that we like. And the shows pretty cool because it takes a look at abandoned like maybe is known maybe he's not quite as known but bands that have had like a single that got out. But it goes back to the album from like singles have come out and digs until like one of those tracks between. And Goes Kinda deep until like some lyrics and and maybe over our story arc of full albums been I've been digging that lately they just had an episode of bit ago they had me without you. which I really like me without you and so the anti poetry and the mix genre of all. Of Digging There's there's quite a few that I've checked out at least a handful of episodes for but I mean there's so many podcasts on the network. You can't really listen to every single thing unless you're just listening at two times speed all day long but a couple that that I've already become a fan of there's one called. Make It stop which is called? The title of the subtitle is a bad music podcast where they specifically talking about music that they think is straight up bad and They've had some episodes around even bands that I don't necessarily hate in fact, the first episode ever heard they just bashed on the band creed. That's a band that I don't hate but it was it was still fun to hear them Bash on the bad music. They also feature some other bands like not future, but they talk about Imagine dragons they hit up Maroon five definitely nickel nickelback in all time an all time worse was that's called. Make It stop check out there? Pretty pretty cool over there, and there's just a few others that I've listened to to although make it stop is the most called a muses. A. Dad Bod, rap pod. Those guys are pretty sweet anyways. So, check out some of the other stuff of their pantheon everybody.
