"Supreme court justice. Sandra day o'connor again. I'm quoting loosen up sandy baby. You're tight then. Promptly fell asleep on the floor on a personal note. I love john riggins he's smart. He's funny. He dances to his own steps. We'll i used to host a charity golf tournament in washington and riggins drove the beer card for us. Yeah this might be a terrible use of time machine. If i gain access to one tony but i want to go to that golf tournament and i want to go to dinner because apparently i was looking this up earlier. He didn't just fall asleep like on the floor. He fell asleep for forty five minutes and then snored through speech. I believe by president george bush. So a legend legend rigaud yes. Oh ringo's tremendous happy anniversary. Joel youngblood on this date. Thirty nine years ago. The utility man and career to sixty five hitter became the only player in major league. History to play for and get two hits. I get hits for two different teams in two different cities on the same day playing center field for the mets youngblood drove in two runs in a day game at wrigley then in mid game. He found out he'd been traded to the expos. Were playing that night in philadelphia youngblood. Left's really go to o'hare doubled back because he forgot his glove at the ballpark but made the six zero five flight to philadelphia that night at the vet young got a single from montreal. Young played fourteen seasons for five different teams. He was an all star once but he never did anything this historic and by the way. The pitchers young blood dot those hits off future hall of famers ferguson. Jenkins and steve carlton manzo. That guy. joel youngblood absolutely on the medal. Stand of young bloods alongside jack youngblood. Who played. I believe with a broken leg in the super bowl and even more impressively in the pro bowl in one thousand nine hundred and also that dean youngblood guy from that movie with rob lowe that came out when i was one year old. I think those are also and also jesse colin young and the young bloods great rock and roll group happy trails to the world record in the four hundred meter hurdles again the other day. It was the men's record today. It's the women's sydney mclaughlin edge delillah muhammad. Both americans broke the world record just as karston war home and ride benjamin had done on the same track the day before mclaughlin ran fifty one point forty six seconds breaking her own world record of fifty one point nine muhammad ran fifty one point fifty eight. You're the only woman to ever go under fifty two seconds he's two have been rivals and have been trading record and wins for two years now and they will race again in the world championships. Next july fem. Kabul of the netherlands finished third in fifty two point zero three which would have set the world record just a few weeks ago. His mclaughlin first gold medal since twenty. One muhammed one golden rio. She's thirty one now. Pablo i suppose. You want to undercut these records as he did yesterday talking about their shoes and the fast track. I appreciate you undercutting.

Radian derive shows fair now. It's something very cathartic about just being just being there and the water and the wave. And i love the symbolism in the heart and soul love it you know and the ocean water the elements and there's there's just a You're you're in the moment. Yeah and the music. Do you like any of the beach. Boys or the Yeah now okay. The of them meant a lot to me. Early is especially one of this phone rolling grind. I yeah listen. Listen to most famous for activates youthful. Yes vinyl. which is that's what we heard. I know i recently did a take on. And then i played over and over again sunny side of heaven. Remember sunnyside of having great almost like an old school. I think it was in five summer stories. I just saw the poster for that. Here i think it was their fleetwood mac suicide of heaven beautiful all instrumental but very like feel flows going with the flow as a surface rights in. Yeah just hauntingly gorgeous. One note from that nine music takes us back but like no regrets. Those feelings might be moving freely as the music relates slight excite on the smoothie. This chance of fruit. They haven't fully dissolved and music for the blends so move helps free data. And and that's what i feel now youth. We love movie. And blocking drains for help move to beautiful dance around the room or just. The release is release relaxed. Yes and there's peace there at the end of the day and inner joy so if you were to give us the people out there out the listeners around and talk listeners around the world who are we speak that same language of the heart here. It's all about the solution in the world. How would you guide them in. In terms of maybe because some of them aren't necessarily familiar with The the essence of going. Can we find some music and play that and get to that place where it's where i moved and inspired and into the answer. The solution the healing creative zone zone is simple. That's put simply it's more on on Focus peace harmony business. I am central center. So wherever my center is i always aim for that that ever music. You'd feel used that work to get back to your center. Now if he that to just release tearing up stuff out here that's not it's yoga jinyan mind and spirit. Just doing some of the on harm sounds on the way here That's just the sounds one way. The senate highly. That's the way i send it. Isn't people dance. It's is exercise. Yeah as long as you can have a yoga classes these days. That are not really yoga because they don't focus on the environment spirits. They're great the do a lot of just add that focused on the center. And you've got it doesn't matter what the phone there's yoga's karma. Yoga is doing serve assault day. You don't have to sit and meditate for one man one second. You don't have to one stretching exercises. There's different forms him before whatever you're passionate. It's not that i recommended people. Whatever you feel moot music you feel. It doesn't matter what it is and use that though. The aim is to get back in the center of my board. If you wipe out the surfer if they wipe out the idea to get back into senator borders quick as possible and that an i teach surfing basically on land. I see a lot of surfers and people who they're brilliant out in the water fluid so together and then they're like they're not their water creatures and i. I know you know how to do this. Dude on take what you learn. That's great you don't need you've managed quiet emotionally as you know physically emotionally mentally. It's balanced so the moody blues requested advances to get back to your center. That's great to get back to where center. I love that symbolically to rolled around us. Some writing. i think is like being able to find place right without severe fusion. S like dr jesse colin young. Start song an old friend sat on a park bench like booking signing garfunkel long darkness kane. You know you're like. I said before you never walk around like saying on the and i wish i never felt that because you know what it's like to be sent to be balanced if he didn't know pain and chaos true it's like we wouldn't physically have the awareness in what it's like to be on the board. "Steve Trouble lease. All right, Your thoughts Gwen Barry 31 years old Olympic hammer throwers. She wins the bronze medal, and she's pissed in her words that they play the national anthem while she gets her meadow refused to stand up and face the flag instead. Gets very upset about it Turns the other way as a T shirt that says, activist athlete Your thoughts. Uh, the only thing I can do is ask one question. What the hell are you doing here? It's you in a Rambler. What's up, pal? Trevor? Great show as always. Thank you, sir. Yeah, this story. You know, I saw this today and I was like, Oh, my God. Here we go again. But anyway, I just want to say something to I think I think her name was Melissa in Colorado called in Yeah, and she's in. I think she's in the service and she's in Colorado listening to you. Listen. First of all, Melissa, thank you for your service. And guess what these athletes will never ever Be able to fill your shoes, man. Absolutely absolutely, You know, First day she's out in Iraq defending us exactly. So, so we have to. You know, the American people have to, like, prioritize all this crap that's going on in our lives, you know? But the thing with the sports I mean, I don't understand it. Listen. Sports was always supposed to bring us together. Bring all the parties together. But now they're dividing us because they want to have this social You know, whatever their you know. Part of it is their advanced in their own brands, you know, and what could have been a unifying moment now becomes divisive and there's too much division going on in the country. Exactly, But see, Steve, this is the whole thing. First of all this athlete. I don't even know her name. I mean, I don't I don't follow this stuff, but she came in third. Okay, So why don't you humble yourself? We know nothing about the person that came in 1st and 2nd. Well, you know what? But again when you're an activist athlete, you want to call attention to yourself, and there's a way to do it. But you know what you're getting into when you You know, when you sign up that if you win, they're going to play the national anthem and this is how it's done in the Olympics, and this is how it's done in front of the world. With you. Thanks for the call. Um Dennis is in Philadelphia. What's up, Dennis? Hey, it was up, my man. How you doing? All right. I got a chance to call back. I'm glad Dan is you know I've been waiting all night for you, Dad is that a candle burning by the phone is waiting for you to call God. Dad is where you got for me. Well, the way I look at is that You have a lot of white people that criticize this young girl and she's not the only one you had athletes before Muhammad Ali doing this, But then it's don't make it about right. Please don't make it about white and black is a lot of white people. That's what's dividing us. Then it's no it's about Americans. You going and white people don't do that. I could see Because we could tell it that way. The truth isn't being seen a few years back. My mother was a representative for religious organizations. Winter Bulgaria, right, which he got up to playing the only black well Lot of people over there from Bulgaria ran into the black people, hug him and kiss him. They were crying because they hear about the report and how black people are being treated in this country, and they threw that she turned her back. Some people look at that as an advancement. But the proof of the matter is But Dennis, this isn't about politics. It's about the Olympics. I understand what you're saying. But right now in 2021, who's being denied what Who can't do something today in 2021. How do we go forward? Dennis? How do we? How do we move forward as a nation and unite? How do we all get together? Tell me that. You hear that. Okay? Here's the thing. How we gonna all get together? Tell me first of all religious leaders. Really have to take seriously. The ashes of their people. They really need to teach them to be able to treat others the way they did themselves during the time of Martin Luther King. That's good. This Martin Luther King has said this Most of those religious leaders that are inspiring the white people to destroy again with the right people. It's not again. What was Martin Luther King was Martin Luther King's Hold on. I gotta pull up. What was the quote? We judge a man by the character and not the color of his skin. And all you're doing now in his home tire conversation is doing what it now Wait a minute. I'll give you one more than I got to go. So come on, make this count grievance before he died. He did this Quote. I think I've led black people into a burning building. He made a mistake. That's what he said. Quote anything is he realized the civil rights is one thing, but we have to get resources. We have two black people have to have an equal opportunity. And given privileges. Just like anybody else. Okay, again. We're talking about 2021 Martin Luther King. I have a dream that my four little Children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin. But the content of their character and that's how we move forward. Okay, so right now you're talking about the Olympics you're talking about in front of the world. The American flag you want, but you know, going in what is going to happen, You know that they're going to play the national anthem and like you said earlier. We don't know the other two athletes are. She got a chance to get her her brand out there to get her name out there, and it was a success as an activist athlete. Thanks for the call of the New Jersey one on 1.5. You know, when you're wearing a T shirts as activist athlete? Well, it's easy to be an activist of people know who you are. And you know, she was able to get the world to know who she is. Brent Barry. We now know who she is, and she'll be at Tokyo competing as well. And let's see what happens there. But is it a good look for the nation? You know what could have been a unifying moment now becomes more divisive. When do we stop with the division? When do we all get together? God Almighty. What was it 1969? Jesse Colin Young saying, get together and you're thinking back then. Well, you know And here we are. Was it 50 years later? 40 years later. Whatever. We're still going, where we moving, We make some progress. But come on. It's 10 30. Now the latest New Jersey news.

"Got to stop this. He's like if. I told my eighteen year old that he was going to be producing. The grammys in twenty years time and he was going to be like frantic and next stressed about it. He you'd be disappointed in yourself. It's time to stop time to enjoy it. Because you're producing the grammy's and it's gonna be great and i was. I took it. You're right and actually from that moment. I was like you know what it's going to be fine. We'll be great but it but it but it was a burden on my shoulders for quite some time. And then covid added this entire element to it that i hadn't expected that like kazaa emaar. Well it will be fine by january. It's like it's march twenty twenty underproducing the grammy's until january thirty first twenty one. This'll be gone in a month or two and then as it got and fallen off in march i had the idea a year before i was like if it is still covid which it won't be but if it is there's a show in the uk jools holland where all the artists play in the round and they have five stages and they play each other. And it's always been a show that i loved growing up and i was like if covid still go in. That would actually be really cope. I never thought ended up doing it. And as he got nearer. And nearer. I was like. Oh wow we're gonna be doing this so i can't even remember the question you asked me a rambled on. I'm so sorry. But probably not evans turned off now. Because it's not like griffin but ultimately when we were going into this grammy's every element of it again i was like. How can we make this call. Glass half full. How can we do you know what let's do. The awards outside makes everyone feel safer and it looks so much more dramatic and we can have staples in the backdrop and we can have everyone outdoors and beautiful tables and then you know thinking about insights that we don't need anyone in not having the audience means the camera can get up close and personal then i was like. Why do we need famous people giving out these statues giving out these grammy's it doesn't mean anything. Let's get those venues. Shut down the troubadour. The like the the you know all these amazing venues from from the apollo in harlem a how cool would shut the bruno. Mars special in harlem polar few of cbs. And i fell in love with that venue and there was this guy that who mr apollo. He's eighty years old. He's worked his whole lot that let's get him to present. You know best artist best album. What have we got into present and suddenly it was actually all of these elements were like can make this show better and so when i started doing that then i started getting excited about it. Then james his pep talk helps and then. Yeah look the reviews. Yeah it was it was. It was amazing. I woke up like six in the morning the next morning. And i i'd gone out a off to the grammys. I went and had some drinks with harry who had one. Who's a friend of mine. Is you know giant. It was his first. He opened the grammy's and and we've been friends for many years and he's one of the closest people to me. We went out and had a drink to celebrate. My first grammys. His first grammy and it was a very much like moving emotional night. And i go into bed about three in the morning and then because at a low wine woke up at six and i was asleep and i woke up and jeff as of my friend had texting me. The rolling stone says the best grammy's ever and it's not even close and i genuinely was like not sought. I remember thinking that is such a shame that this is a dream because that would be so cool if that was real. But it's about how it didn't even. It doesn't even read well as a headline so there was no part of me that thought it was reality and i just went back to sleep and then ruby my daughter for years old jumps on me at seven and then i saw my friend i was. Oh my god. I saw that during the night and i thought it was fake. I thought it was just my brain fantasizing and so yes sounds arrogant talk about but i was. I was really. I don't mean it. In that. Way i just mean it in. It was It was payoff for something that. I've never worked harder on anything than i did that for a year dreaming about it thinking about it making sure that everything was perfect working out the running order you know will award should go where and you know. Even the video is about as i. We were my me and my team and wasn't just me jesse colin. Ross kapoor for team and josie juicy cliff hamish. Hamilton patchy minson back team just worked their arses off and so those reviews. Were really beautiful to see it. You know it doesn't matter does. Thanks for listening to part. Two of our conversation. With ben winston. You can check in on friday to listen to part. Three of ben winston..
