I'm Dan Schwartzman, that's your Bloomberg world news and sports update, Brian. All right, thanks very much, Dan, the ebb and flow of geopolitical relations. That's something that we'll be discussing here with Stephen engel, Bloomberg's chief north Asia TV correspondent. On the one hand, we have President Biden planning to hold a phone call with Chinese president Xi Jinping. That's at least according to U.S. national security adviser Jake Sullivan. On the other hand, we also had president Xi taking a slightly softer tone toward Taiwan. Yesterday at the closing of the NPC and we also had Chinese Premier Li xiang, talking about trying to get foreign investors back back into China. So Stephen, what's going on here? We've been seeing a little bit of churn here in geopolitics. Yeah, I mean, look, the national People's Congress was, there was a lot of rhetoric, anti U.S. rhetoric at the national people's congruous, the annual session of parliament. But it's playing mostly to a domestic audience. And there is a boogeyman in the United

Bengals beat Ravens to avoid coin flip, set up home rematch
"The Bengals beat the ravens 27 16 to avoid a coin flip for home field when the two teams meet again in the AFC playoffs next weekend. Cincinnati scored touchdowns off three first half turnovers by quarterback Anthony Brown. Joe burrow was 25 of 42 for 215 yards one touchdown, and no interceptions. If you didn't win this one, I guess technically we would have won the division, but wouldn't have felt like it. So it's good to get this one. We're going to have to play better next week to get the win. Especially me. So it's great to get the win, but on to the next one. Jesse Bates the third and Mike Hilton picked off Brown who was making his first NFL start. I'm Dave ferry.

"Since any Bengals, welcome Joe burrow back, throw it through in 7 on 7, so with Tom Brady taking two weeks off, Joe burrow had taken a couple of weeks off and now back in the fold. How much of their success last year surprised you TJ? All of it? I'm just being honest. I don't believe anybody including the people involved with the Bengals thought that they could make a run to the Super Bowl. But now, you don't expect a Super Bowl appearance every year, but you expect at least I do. I expect a pretty good run for the next at least handful of years. It concerns me that Jesse Bates is an encamp. They're not going to re sign them the draft kind of showed you that they're not going to re sign them. And who they drafted, the defense was a big reason why they made it to where they made it. Played the chiefs twice in the last month. Both times in a second half, they pretty much shut the chiefs down, and so that's the defense. Yeah, the offense, they get a lot of the credit they're in the headlines, but the defense is the reason they had the type of year that they had. And so if they can't do that again, they'll be good, but making that type of run, everything about that run surprised me. So you weren't, you weren't the former Cincinnati Bengal going like, hey, watch my boys are going to be really, really good this year. No, I thought Joe would be good, just training out here. His confidence, it was just different. It was just different the way he carried himself. But being there as long as I was, no, I didn't anticipate it. I felt like they would be good. They had good players, but we had good players when we were there as well. They're just better now than we were in this year will show me that what I just said is true. They're better now than we were because I believe this year, they'll have a really good year as compared to when we went to the playoffs and like, oh, we're going to come back and be good next year. We're all young and we weren't. I think it's an interesting part to it is that if you go back to the start of last year, there were questions about the coaching staff. Remember they'd only been there. He was going to get fired. Correct. Going to get fired, and now he's the defending AFC champion coach. But now it becomes on some other, on some level, maybe more difficult, right? It's hard to make that climb, but even harder to sustain. One because you have a more difficult schedule. But two, because everybody, people are up for when the Bengals come to town, which is the opposite of how it was for a good portion of time there. I mean, you go back two and a half years ago. That was the worst defense in the history of the NFL to two and a half seasons ago. The worst. So to go from there to now everyone's not just taking you seriously, but they got you circled on the calendar. It is going to be interesting because Pittsburgh, you're working through what's their quarterback going to be. Baltimore, Lamar is going to be there going to be their quarterback, but they're coming off a little bit of a disappointing year. We'll see what they are. And then you got Cleveland.

"Like you're going to be disappointed pain that you're going to not get as much AP right out there on third down or if you believe everything you're reading from Bengals can't that Chris Evans is suddenly going to have a massive role in terms of everything that the Bengals want to do. You of course mention mix in who did have a career, your third in rushing yards fourth and touchdowns and incredibly high usage rate. His raw numbers though did definitely look a heck of a lot better than some of his efficiency metrics and a lot of that, of course, can be attributed to an offensive line that you well chronicled. I'll left a lot to be desired when you look at how it finished in the Super Bowl. As far as this team defensively, Lou Anna rumo probably did an underrated job getting them to play up to their potential and arguably exceeding expectations. You look at what they added this off season, mainly in the draft Dax sale and cam day cam Taylor Britt to kind of fortify that secondary. You do lose Larry ogan Joby up front. The impending drama is the uncertain contract situation around Jesse Bates, will he or won't he be out there when they start playing meaningful football. When you look at this bangles team, they obviously need BJ hill and DJ reader to hold up against the run with big bodies on the interior. Trey hendrickson was an expensive deal going into last year, but clearly upgraded what this team was able to do in terms of bringing pressure. His quarterback hits his sack contributions hard to truly quantify exactly what he meant to that defensive unit overall. But you look at the bangle stop group and there's no doubt they overachieve last year. Are they able to do so again this season? You know, that's the interesting debate. Because I know Bengals fans were upset with us, but as I, here's the thing is like even you right there, you think they overachieved last year. They had the third most expensive defensive line, their third most expensive secondary. When you put it in that context, you should expect good play. And I just, that was the problem when we would assess the bangles last year. It's like when you put it in this context, they're not as good as you think. I will say this though, right? Everyone was focused on Joe burrow and how electric their weapons were. The Bengals defense was quietly respectable, right? They did. They made the leap from 27th to 19th and year over year schedule adjusted defensive efficiency. But again, you put it in the context of what was spent financially to get there. And it's not as impressive. And as these offensive players need new deals, you know what that means to defensive spending. We're seeing it with Jesse Bates as you alluded to. There's a reason they went out and got Dax hell in the first round. This is Jessie Bates last stand for leverage knowing that they want to compete for Super Bowl this year. It has to be done. Let's see how long he holds ground. One thing is crystal clear of last season's Bengals defense though. Any question we had about their unit? It got answered in a positive manner. We weren't sure what luanna rumo was as a defensive mind. Well, even though he hadn't really shown to any point in his career that he was excellent, he did prove to be a damn good game planner and fantastic within game adjustments down the stretch Super Bowl run. So you get like a check mark there. Then we looked at Trey hendrickson. We know the money they spent. And the question we had was, could he get after the passer at the same rate in an expanded role as what he showed as a well rested situational rusher in New Orleans. Yes, holy cow. And hendrickson had a 16% pressure rate on pass rush snaps finished top ten in pass rush win rate accounted for 41% of the bangla sacks. Like check mark. And then we were like, how are the Bengals linebackers going to hold up knowing they don't really allocate resources there? And even though the linebacker play wasn't good, both Logan Wilson and Jermaine Pratt simultaneously had their best season in the league effort. A relative check mark there. And then the cast of inexpensive secondary misfits with shinobi Wu Z von bell and Mike Hilton, they weren't wanted in their previous home, formed a really respectable secondary. Each of those guys far exceeded their contract value. Each of those guys simultaneously graded out as having their best seasons ever. In a season in which they eclipsed at least 900 snaps, so you get a check mark there. Every question marked the Bengals defense had last season. Had a positive answer. Now I'm interested to see how that gets followed up this season. Cincinnati has the fourth most expensive defense. You make a Super Bowl run. You have to be better than below average in 2022. Fortunately, the schedule of opposing offense is dipped slightly. Bengals face an average schedule of offenses. That's not too daunting for playing in the AFC when you put it in that AFC context. And certainly that can become easier if roger extends Watson suspension, knowing both those games against Cleveland are in late October in the middle of December. I do like some of the young depth pieces added, right? Dax hill is savvy. He can play in the slot or safety cam Taylor Britt you mentioned has a load of talent, let's see if you can put that together.

"Chef the Adam Schefter in place. Mike tannenbaum riding shotgun in studio and I'm your host Jordan cornett filling in for Laura Rutledge. Let's get right to it, fellas. Everybody knows the rules. I read and you react that we start with Dalton Schultz. Coming off career highs in every category last season and tied with a team leading 8 touchdown receptions. Chef, what's the latest on Schultz? Well, Jordan, no deal got done between the Dallas Cowboys and the tight end Dalton Schultz who now is set to play this year on the one year $12.9 million tight end tag with $10.9 million tight end tag Schultz will be up after the season contractually speaking. And that's really appropriate to have Dalton Schultz play on a one year deal. He's a good player. He was productive last season, but he is not a dynamic game changing athlete. I wouldn't be surprised to see him play out the tag this year and move on while Dallas allocates precious resources to other positions. He's a good player, but certainly not a great player. The one tied into another dolphin's Titan might get sicky, also posted career highs, 73 receptions, 780 yards last season. Chef, he gave it to me. What's the latest? No deal here. No deal close to being done. No deal ever got close to being done here. And so Micah sikhi right now is scheduled to play this year on the one year tag and also like Dalton Schultz set to become a free ATX of the season, but he signed his franchise tender, so we'll have to be there for the start of camp. Guys, I was in Miami when we drafted Mike gazecki. He is a great athlete, but about 85% of the staff last year. He was detached from the core. He's really a wide receiver, not a great blocker, but he's a great mismatch. He's somebody that would Garner a lot of interest in the market next year. If Miami doesn't re sign after the season, he can be a difference maker, especially on third down and in the red zone. How about those boys from a jungle? Bengal safety Jesse Bates also tagged. A Bengals mainstay on defense, making 67 of a possible 69 starts in the regular season, including playoffs. Chef D Bates. Hey, Jordan, another situation in which a deal did not get done and did not really come close to getting done. And unlike the other two players, Jesse beitz has not signed his franchise tender. So he is not obligated to be a training camp when it begins he can show up whenever he wants to sign that tender. There's no pressure there, but no deal between Jesse Bates and the Cincinnati Bengals and he's a defensive leader there. He's a leader off the field, but on the field, he's extremely versatile. We saw him play close alliance scrimmage at linebacker. We've seen him play slot corner and we've seen him play traditional free safety. He is extremely versatile and very valuable to the spaniel defense. Jordan, for your Bengals to get to where they want to go. They need to keep him long-term somehow some way. Mike T you get my co signature for what it's worth. Finally, chiefs versatile tackle Orlando Brown junior made the Pro Bowl. Each of the last three seasons, he's moved to that left tackle position probably because he wants that money that comes with it. Chef, what's the latest on Brown? Well, Jordan, the chiefs offered him a 6 year $139 million extension that included over $30 million in guaranteed money. He did not take the deal. He did not get an extension done. And so today's deadline for franchise players was about as eventful as the supplemental draft this year and there is no supplemental draft this year. Four players eligible for deals, none got done. Again, sort of like watching you supplemental draft. Yeah. Look, I'm a little surprised to have this thing get done Orlando Brown is a good tackle. He's not a great tackle. If there was meaningful guaranteed money in the software, which I'm sure there was, I would have taken it if I was him because I can't imagine someone's going to give him that much of a bigger deal on the market next year. If I'm Kansas City, I am planning for his replacement and I'm drafting attacker early next year in the draft and letting him move on. Nothing personal. Just business. Speaking of elite guys up front offensively. Over the last two weeks, Jeremy Fowler has been releasing the top ten by position. According to a survey of league execs, coaches scalps and players. Today was a final position, offensive tackle. San Francis Trent Williams, Thompson list getting nearly 80% of the first place votes right behind him. Tom Brady shield 23 year old Tristan worse from the bucks. Mike, take a look at that list. What draws your intrigue? To me, what's really interesting, guys, is the age of these players over half of them are 30 years old or older. So it just shows you that if you have the ability and understand the nuance of playing tackle, you can play at a high level for a long time. One name that to me, I was surprised to make the list guys. Jordan mulatta, who really has a very atypical background, didn't play college football. It was somebody that the eagles drafted late in the 7th round. To me, he is a guy that has all the physical Billy in the world, and he's just gonna get better and better. We're seeing him here. He plays with nasty demeanor, he's tough, he's smart, and he's only gonna get better. I know how much they like him. And I think he will be somebody when we're talking about this list and years to come. He could actually work his way Jordan into the top 5. Well, let's stay with those eagles and they placed three players in the positional top ten all coming on the offensive side of the ball too offensive lineman, lane Johnson and Jason Kelsey along with tight end Dallas coder. Two more offensive players honorable mention. New receiver AJ Brown in the aforementioned tackle, my lada. So as you look at this, so much around Jalen hurts, how much of the pressure inevitably falls on the off talked about signal caller. There's a lot of pressure on Jalen hurts because they've done such a good job of surrounding him with so many productive weapons, but at the end of the day, Jordan, he's not good enough. And here's why. When the ball travels 20 yards or more down the field, he's only completing about 37.9% of those passes. And that's 20th in the NFL and I promise you guys, if I know that, opposing defensive coordinators know that. And what that does is it shrinks the field and you can impact your spacing from a defensive standpoint. It's just hard to complete the ball. So we need to see Jalen hurts get the ball down the field. More accurately consistently, if he can do that, this offense can take the next step. Well, Philadelphia Mike needs to see him get the ball downfield more accurately. And I think that they believe that either he can do that this year and they're going to ride with him and if he shows he can't, then they're set up next year to potentially go find his successor because even though this team moved up the board on draft night and even though it traded for AJ Brown, it still left itself with enough picks and enough ammunition to go out and maneuver around the draft next year if that's what the eagles need to do for a quarterback. But that's for a future day. What their hope is is that right now that Jalen hurts surrounded by all this offensive firepower and there's as much offensive firepower here as there is on just about any team in the NFC that he will take the next step like the rest of this team prove he's worthy of being the face of the franchise, the quarterback of the future and Philadelphia could continue to ride with Jalen hurts. There's a great scouting axiom that applies here, which is the tape sets the floor and character sets the ceiling, meeting, will a player maximize his ability. Jalen hurts his character is off the charts. So whatever he has, they're going to get this year has a really good offensive coach and Nick Siri. It's going to be great to watch this year. Can he actually develop and take the next step? I agree with what Adam said, which is multiple first round picks. Now, if you're Philadelphia, you're dealing from a position of strength, you're not locked into jail and hurts long term. Next year's draft looks like it's going to have a lot of good quarterbacks. So you have a lot of optionality as a season goes on. Well, piggybacking off that Mike T is you talk about character. I mean, the captain lane Johnson and speaking about hurts, pontificated on his poise, his leadership is professionalism and says, he demands respect. So I heard you earlier today talking about that Prescott and the character there and how those intangibles matter, it seems like they've got that all the way in spades when you talk about their quarterback in Jalen hurts. So reason to be optimistic there. All right, we've got a developing story here on NFL live. Regarding the Houston Texans and deshaun Watson, for more, we bring in chef, he wants more. What is the latest here?

"They can. They traded up what was it? This around this time they like to move up. They get aggressive. They move on. Yeah, so they traded up for Patrick Mahomes, right? That was roughly mid 20s to ten. Or 11 or something like that. So they could do it, but if Jameson Williams going to the top ten, then I think it's going to be too high for them, right? Yeah. All right. And then I think they're taking key area, and they need a corner. Yeah. I'm with you on that. Bangles need. It's a weird Bengals draft. I don't know if they need guards in the centers. I mean, they signed Kappa and Ted Keras and free agency would have been a great pick for them, but he's not here. This is kind of a freedom pick, right? Like this guy in his best player available to do whatever you want with this kind of thing. Actually. If you're going to go defense, so the other thing I'd say is Tyler Boyd is entering a contract year. They could get ahead of it and take sky more. They could. I like seeing here too for them as well. I'm of course blanking on their safety that they attack this. I just feel like he's very redundant with Jesse Bates. I think so too, but if they don't feel like the Jesse Bates thing is going in the right direction. They feel like they're not going to sign Jesse Bates long term. That could be the direction we go in. All right. Well, so here's the thing. So we're both saying you pick for a year ahead. Would you rather have the right wide receiver then and keep burrow stocks than defense? I just think we've seen a better player. He's a really, really good football player. So this pick, I think it's odd, nobody's calling. I think this pick's going to have tremendous value on the trade market. Yeah. Because you get that 5th year option but right, all of that, so they don't end up trading it. Yeah..

"Agency. I totally underestimated Jamar chase. To give myself a tiny little pat on the back like maybe a pinky finger to make myself feel a little better. I did save the off season narrative that he couldn't catch was ridiculous and you know, I'll give myself that. But this is a good team. I mean, this is this is a classic middle era, Marvin Lewis, Bengals team that regardless of whether they're going to make the playoffs or not, they're going to be really annoying to play. They're going to be dotted with talented players. And it's weird to say this, but I would say, you know, I mean, Jesse Bates is not playing as well as he has in previous seasons, but he came into the season as arguably one of the two or three best safeties in the NFL. DJ reader is playing as one of the four or 5 best defensive tackles in the NFL. And you have Jamar chase in line potentially for a rookie of the year bid and you have three good to great offensive lineman, which like, who the hell thought that was gonna happen, you know? So you gotta hand it to this coaching staff. They had a vision that we really couldn't see from 30,000 feet. And we as in me. I don't want to lump anybody else in here with me. No, I also underestimated the immediate impact that Jamar chase would have in this offense. It's really been transformative. And I was with you, Connor, I thought they should have gone offensive line, but clearly they knew that chase was this can't miss prospect. And what we're seeing now is far beyond what you normally see between a quarterback and a rookie receiver because borough and chase have played together before because they had that college experience. And obviously that made chase even more valuable to the bangles that you could drop him into the offense. I mean, certainly he still had to learn your scheme and your calls and the routes you want him to run..

"With safeties were literally 30 yards off the ball. Explain that theory it And how much do you think that that mess Mahomes up? Oh, it first of all traffic in the homes had never seen the type of rush or recently hadn't seen that type of pressure where he had to scramble and by carrying those safety. They stay on the hash marks. So you have 22 safeties on the hash mark, and they just say is deepest possible. Your cornerbacks play what's called the flat area and they're responsible for The run and just things that come out in the flight, but where they were so good is that pass rush? This allowed Kansas City. They have that big strike and when you have those trunk plays Number one is the moralizing and number two. You're having that change of possession change the field. You know, Kansas City could score a lot of points, but it's just what they called it. The Tampa two and this is a basic defense is it's a defense this random, high school college and it's really basic, but the key can you gotta have the personnel to play it. And you gotta have the pass rush that protecting the back in Yeah. Pass Rush was unbelievable. I mean, they run that they run that defense and I look at it there, Linebacker I'm telling Devon White Is a player. I would put him on any one of my football teams I ever coach. He is just a flat out player. I love his game all their linebackers Avery good. And a secondary. You know, Tim, they're not great. I mean, they're they're They're okay. 20 four's a good player. They were talking about how he's got good closing speed. He got picked on a lot this year, but you know, they're not. They're not outstanding in the secondary, but they really don't have to be because of that front seven. Do they? Though they don't and that's the whole key. If you're going to be weak on the back end like Tampa is they don't play man to man. They know they don't blitz a lot, but their front seven is so dominant at the line of scrimmage that you can again protect those players on the back end. You did not see them call for their quarterbacks to play Tyreek Hill or or Travis Kelsey one on one What they did. They play kind of a bad bracket coverage, and they just did not let them get behind them and have that big. Those big plays. Tyree Kill seven catches 73 yards. I think when they met in week, 12 years, something like 208 yards. It was I mean, they really cap down on it. Patrick Holmes is amazing. I that that guy can make plays. I've never seen anyone make falling down, throwing it. A lot of it was just here. Let me throw this thing and see if somebody can catch it. Rather than take a snap a sack. But again, I think we see How important an offensive line is and to draw a parallel here in Cincinnati. If there was ever a compelling reason. Why why to take what this offensive line and the inadequate L offensive line. It's been since the departure of Andrew Whitworth. If we ever needed anything else to tell us what happens when you don't have players to block to allow place to develop If it wasn't Joe Burrow getting hurt. It was last night because they took the most effective quarterback in the NFL and neutered that guy. I think it just highlights here. They better get busy starting today, either with free agency drafting trading, whatever it may be. To rebuild that offensive line, and you saw the opposite with Tampa. Tampa's offensive line was terrific. I think this was yet another indication of what the Bangles absolutely have to do this offseason. There's no question about it. First of all the best office of line. Are the outfits alignment that don't get talked about because they're doing their job. That's number one number two. If you if you go back to yesterday's game, the one thing we were Clamoring that we were hoping and praying and wishing that didn't happen is my home gets hurt, especially at the latter part of the game. It was a saying It was kind of days are good job, bro. Get him out of the game. OK, the game's over with because he is getting absolutely annihilated. So once again, there's one way to neutralize. Great quarterback, and that's having him throwing under pressure and he was under oppressive the entire night, which again like you said it is so important for the Bangles to understand and accept. Their discretion at the offensive line and not to be their focal point of the off season as it pertains to free agency draft and developed and development of that last aspect that we definitely need to happen. You can get him in here. But if you don't develop them to be good players, well, what did that do? You just got names and body so They're going to have to do that. They're gonna have to get these guys all on the same page. But definitely upgrade needs to happen because you can't just start players and Joe Mixon and Joe Burrows and You just There's so much from the from the skills for this is that they have, but you can't utilize them if you don't have those big guys up front. That's exactly right. We're chatting with Tim McGee. The glorious number 85 here is we talk about the Super Bowl yesterday. I think it's stunned. A lot of people. All of the majority the bets online and in Vegas were on Kansas City, but the heavy money was on Tampa so the smart guys must have known something, Tim You sound foolish sometimes when you get on the radio, which, for me is almost all the time And you say things like, Well, the Bangles are only a couple of players or they need to do this. If they do this, all of a sudden, they're a different team. And but it's true. They have their have their franchise quarterback. I mean, you first of all, you have to have that if you don't, then you're just in a wilderness. But I think it just highlights And if you're ju dishes, if you're if you're lucky, first of all with injuries, and you don't have DJ reader get hurt like he did this year. You don't have Gino Atkins play limited playing time like he played this year. If you're if you're judicious with your drafting, and as you say you're developing and you get a little bit of luck with injury, and the bucket here certainly did this year. I think the only major injury that team has they lost tight and O. J. Howard very early in the season, but they're really in the NFL. You're not that far away. If you're strong and key positions, the Bangles have a wealth of things to him. We know they're wide receivers. We know Joe Mixon. We know Joe Burrow. We know on defense. They've got some wonderful players. Jesse Bates is a terrific player reader, I think could have been a a mega star this year if he had stayed healthy. They're not that far away, but they gotta play the game. Smart..

"Liam Mike's Car Wars, the official car wars of the Cincinnati Bengals. Michael also donate $1 your purchase to the Anthony Munoz Foundation. So far this season, we've raised $54,456 way to go Bangle fans. Now she covers the Bangles with features videos and stories throughout the week, and we're looking back at stories throughout the year. Marissa what a year it has been for Angles and for football, That's certainly write box you look at, you know 2020 as a whole for Aziz difficult and unusual as a year that we've had. There has been a lot of good that that's happened with the Bangles. I mean, starting off looking back things in January when they were down there coaching the Senior bowl and, you know, getting a couple of key guys with Logan Wilson and Akeem Davis gator that came out of that that They're now Bangles. I mean, I think that you're started off pretty strong when you look it, um you know them starting Tomo value a talent and then I mean, of course, rolling right into the draft, and obviously getting the guy in Joe burrow, but but not just burrow box and you look at the rest of the stretch class. You know, I think the Bangles really did a nice job and they hit where they needed to hit When you look at tea, Higgins And the season that he has been having guys like you know who came and energy having to, you know, get some start stepping up when he needs to. So you know, looking on early in the year and then, of course, the unusual off season with covert and NFL protocols and everything changing. Just never expecting to have to navigate that the way that they did with having virtual camps and virtual meetings and not getting as much face to face time as there usually used to box you know, it was interesting in that, you know, you knew the pandemic was upon us, but then, as it started become more prevalent in the day to day Factors of how we lived and operated football just took on a whole different dimension, especially even for us. I mean, you know, we were usually close to the players, and now we're on the scaffolding. We everybody's wearing the alert systems, and it just was a new brand of football. It really was. Yeah. You mentioned with the trackers and getting tested on a daily basis and Just every every little thing that you kind of might have taken for. Granted in the usual year was just so different in this type of year. But you know, you really have to give a lot of props and credit, Tomo not only the training staff and the coaches and the rest of the staff here who had to really alternate plans and and the way they used to go out of business toe change into the environment. That kind of we've grown accustomed to now, over the last 456 months here. But faction to another Really great thing that had come out of 2020 is the inspired change movement with the NFL, and you know, having those difficult conversations and you know, bringing a more just and equal You know, lifestyle to not only here in Cincinnati, but really making it across the country, and you know, it all started when the Bangles marched over to the Freedom Center. Earlier this summer and really making it known that black lives do matter and wanting to do more through the P C. I C and partnering with black owned to create the stripes don't come easy campaign, So there's really been ah lot in the community and equality and you know injustice that's really come out of this year. You know that's a great point, and I did pick up my black owned stripes don't come easy Apparel looking forward to sporting that, but I think all in all one of the other things that sticks out for me this year was the improved on. I'm going to say a Pro bowl play of Jesse Bates, even though he did make the Pro Bowl. I think Jesse Bates really solidified himself as a player in this league. I could not agree more with you. I think that was one of the biggest Pro bowl snubs of the year and you just look at his statistical numbers. He's right up there with the best safeties in the league and You also look at what I'll see he does on the field that's not necessarily gets marked down as a stat. I just cannot believe he was not a Pro Bowl selection this season, but it is really great to see the strides that he has taken. In year. Three. Um and you know, this can't wait to see what he's gonna do in your four then. Right, Right, right. My last reflects their 2020 is finally beating the Pittsburgh steals. That was That's definitely one of the highlights here in tow and the 2020 season and not just Eating them Box on Monday night, but the way they beat them having to have that next man up mentality yet again, Prime time and the fact that because of Cove it and the pandemic we can't have a full house here, Paul Brown Stadium. Fans were electric for that game. It was such a fun environment in a fun atmosphere. And, you know, talking about getting that went to that get some when MO mentum going into Houston and now into this week, and you know, ending the season on the right note. No question. We're in this segment on the right note by wishing you all the best in the new year. Thank you Box. Happy New Year to you as well. All right, thank you. We'll be back with more of countdown to kickoff presented by ballpark buns.
