"A little bit. Was not what i meant. Depress depress there. We get specific. How do i know where these things are. The fantasy cops are here. This is our fantasy cops music. It's funky all right. This is from stanley. Says dear jerry. Larry terry and gary did you ever watch it adam apart rex. Yeah yeah i finished. That's happened in the last like year right because you haven't really been a big fan. I binged it during the quarantine basically because we were telling you it's such a great show. It is really funny except the last season is painful. Absolutely painful i mean one of the worst one of the worst seasons. I've ever seen if any show i don't even remember. It's so bad. Like ron and leslie in a fight. I and then there's this like oh that's different areas. Oh it was just awful but but it didn't ruin the show. The show was great. all right. here's the here's the question for the fantasy cops. I normally they're am. There should be no vetoes and fantasy but this just went down in our twelve team keeper. League one keeper team is one and eight has not said his lineup. Since week three has been called out for it in the group chat for not setting it and has not set his lineup. Basically everyone assumes he's not making any effort anymore team b's excuse me on the fringe of the playoffs and makes the following trade with team. May team gibbs d andre swift davante adams and nick chubb team be gives. Darrell henderson chase. Edmonds and marcus brown. So swift atoms and job for darrell henderson edmonds and marquees brown pretty grabby trade. What do you do in this situation. I at least texted are threads saying that. If you're gonna make trades you need to set your lineup. And it's fair. It is fair to make plans for the future with one keeper but this trade is lopsided and with a team that wasn't putting effort and so i'm challenging. You guys is. I know you don't like vetoes especially frank..

"You don't need to score a touchdown necessarily here, but you gotta pick up five yards, so Jimmy could run If they pressure him, Pettus type left. Kettle is tight. Right? Three. Go right, the rapido back throws and its broke it up. He was going to trend Taylor it was broken up. By Byron Murphy Jr. Arizona will take over on downs. The game is not over 40 Niners to have three timeouts left, but it's very close to being over. They're great. Papa. Tim Ryan on the call. Surprisingly 20 for 20. The 40 Niners lose to the Arizona Cardinals here at Levi Stadium, John one Super Bowl champion, Dennis Brown of the Great Larry Kroger joining us. Thanks. Great question that you asked on Twitter, and we're getting a lot of great responses. So, Jerry Larry jumping here and they give us some more of the people why they thought they lost today. One thing and again. This is a great Chris Babcock, who since he normally up with Pablo and Tim, and feeds, Papa all these great stats, and it makes Papa sound very good. But it's kind of like that movie. What was known Roxanne with Steve Martin and Steve Martin's, whereas the big nose so he's in the back, and he's feed the lines. That's exactly what Babcock doesn't make them. Pop is the one who, you know, just regurgitates about Papa stop the Cyrano Cyrano de Bergerac and Babcock has hanging slash And so he sent me some step. Also the first quarter the Niners. Time of possession wise 10 27 to 4 33 for Arizona. So dominating Arizona one the time of possession. 31 26 2 2034. So it's about 27 18 and last Three quarters of the game in the second half. Thank you, Chris Babcock 42 to 29 in place in favor of Arizona. Well, why does that matter Because like you guys said, air quality wasn't so great Today. First game of the year you're gassed and Kyla Murray's running all over the place and this is an excuse isn't excuse. It's an explanation Givers on a credit they won the football game, but they were gassed. At the end. The defensive line wasn't dominating because they're chasing sky around, and they just They got tired. Look, Dennis brought this up during a break. It's a great point. After the 94 yard drives, you're on the field defensively for a 94 yard drive. The offense went three now. Yeah, I think I was it. No, e. I hope you enjoyed that 62nd ball. You just got after that 94 year. Dr. You're coming back on the field. That's a factor in this game. Yeah, And it's a factor when you when you haven't been able to get off the field. I mean it be great if your offense goes through and out and then defense goes through here now, But if you go, you're often goes three and out. You go back in for a eight minute drive, 10 minute drive. I mean, and then you go back off the field. You have to come right back on after another three and out, or maybe a foreign out, So I mean, it's It's tough. It's tough. I mean, you got the air quality going. It's your first game on like I said, I mean, you guys know crowd to give you an energy is no. There's nothing and just going like practice your just going right back out there now. It was a guy the beauty of this game thinking you don't need a crowd. You're gonna motivate yourself, but I really saw that. Pride would've helped out a lot, especially when the defense is on the film. You need that boost. I think it was missed today truly missed today. You know, we're getting a number of different responses. I asked the question. What is the number? One reason the Niners lost in a lot of people pointing at Jimmy Jimmy was a bit slow. Jimmy. Just like the Super Bowl. We had to make one throw. I didn't do it. You know, I expected more from Jimmy. You know, one guy said, you know, two for 11 on third down. I mean, that that that obviously was a key fact and seven for 14, Arizona. I mean, that's the contrast Is that losing out on the field? I mean, you give up 50% to a team that is so they converted seven of 14. You converted Team two of 11 minutes. That's the biggest status game. Somebody says no to force Buckner, one guy says, where were are wide? Receivers. But Eric Ah has has the one that I would vote for. If you said if you said Give me the number one reason the 40 Niners lost this game, I would say they couldn't they lost contained on Kyler. Consistently and this is the last quarterback in the league that you can lose. Contain on you have to rush him with discipline. You have to rush him in Lane's Dennis. You know, you have a doctorate in in exactly what I'm talking about here. The art of rushing the mobile quarterback. This is the most mobile quarterback. And then you mix in the poor air quality. And, as John said that the total 42 to 29 play advantage that Arizona had in the second half and being gassed in no O T A s and no training camp and no no preseason, but to me if you said number one reason they lost contain on Kyler and once who's contained on a mobile quarterback like that, man. Everything starts to fall apart. Yeah, and a couple times it wasn't about to contain. It was just about on the inside. Once you open up that rush lane and he would see it so quickly. He would step back there and he'd read it like a rotting body was one reading Go. Yeah, it was like it was a lot of my reads. Not there. I'm gone. And there was a quarterback here a couple years ago, and that's that's kind of how he made his bones in NFL became a superstar that one read and go and he made the place. I mean, that was it. It was a lot of third in 12 13 15 and you see He'll take that one read in Hell knows he'll see that rush lane, and it wasn't about to contain. It was just running straight up the middle class. You know what? What's gonna happen, and we see this in the MBA bubble when you watch that there is no home field..

"One of my favorite drumbeats. Yeah, it is a really interesting. Trumpet Your Right and made I gotta say this man so. I still dabble. Behind the kit. Usually I'm just sticking around by myself at home, and and that is my up drumbeat. That's as it. Yeah, because it's a it's it really it's good for like limb. Independence practice because all ems are involved in that beat I fucking love that drumbeat is not the name of beyond Song Limb dependence among the. What I said Lim Independent. Limit Appendi- is not like a This. Dude I'm not not a beyonce fan. That was a it job. Hang on a second hand me think about it. But all the single. Limbs I don't get the judge did. Oh did number one. This, this is why we focus mainly on rock and roll on this podcast. You let me guess you didn't mean beyond. Say I didn't get the artist right? Who's actually Kelly, Clarkson. Kelly Clarkson Kelly Clarkson. Miss Independent. get it. Leeann dependent or whatever you missed the mark on the jets, sorry. now let's talk about. And now it makes more sense. Maybe that's why you got. So you lost your mind in the audience when you bought the drumstick because we're so, we went and saw a longtime ago as probably trees right. It was treated for sure is definitely trees and this powder? My favorite venue in in Dallas developed I. Mean Yeah, it's back or the Gypsy Gypsy tea room. That's cool place to anyways. fucking knows what we're talking about. There's the the ballroom to the Gypsy Bulga I prefer the tea room to because there's more intimate, but yeah we saw may years ago. Probably this was probably twenty, two, thousand, three, two, thousand four. He may have been. Yeah, there were definitely torn. Two, thousand three so and yeah, the guy through the the drumstick into the crowd. May was not the headliner, so there weren't that many people in the crowd of the time so was the headliner. I don't remember, but it was some really. gimmicky band. The didn't last. It wasn't good Charlotte, but it was a band that was very very similar to good Charlotte. I remember that okay, anyway nobody. Yeah, I caught his drumstick, and I've lost your mind. I lost. My Shit started screaming. At the drumstick yelling into it. By like you were excited in like exclaiming. I could feel to the drumstick or something like that as if the drumstick had any clue what was going on. It but anyway digit news up. Did you get him to autograph that? Yes I. Did you still have it? No Man I. Don't have anything for my for my youth. Dude! It's a real bummer, a shame. But no, they were all. Hanging out like behind the venue you know classic band stuff and we were hopping into Mitchell's mom's van. She took us to the show. It was me you. Mitch and Andrew Shout out to Mitchell. We know he's shout out to Mitch Yeah And I saw them I. Dude, I was like fearless back then when it came to like. Chatting with bands I just didn't care and I just ran over there and asked him if he could sign it and I. Remember asking. Mitchell's mom. If she had a head pen or something, he didn't but Dave had a sharpie in his pocket of course he did. Let's anyways yeah, Let's name the rest of the the roster here, so we have. Jacob Marshall Drums. We mentioned that. Dave! Elkins is the lead singer Songwriter who plays guitar. Zach! Gehring jerring. Also plays guitar. Is it Jerry Larry or Gary who knows man that's a that's a parks and REC reference right there acting to let that slip by me. Sorry I'm trying to I'm going to see. The members were at the time here, so now the real question is anyone listening. Do they care all right? Well, I! MEAN! You gotta at least know you got at least know the lead singers. aim is Dave Elkins Yeah, he is the main kind of. Creative force behind the music itself but it is important to note that on this record. And the following two records. There is a keyboardist. And a? Additional Guitar Player. So. That's important because you can. The the piano plays a pretty important part on this record. Write and. Much like some of the other band talked about over the the years of doing this podcast, they signed with a major record label capitol records. And they got burned by that experience and I mean that's a broken record. Yes, it, just it almost goes without saying right and one of the main reasons was because they. They felt that they lost too much control. So that's it that is what I mean it yeah, it is a Cliche, but it's just what happens. So, anyway, after after the the major label release to other members dropped off the band so. A three piece From from from here on outright. So Anyway I play clip to play the next club and then I think this is what will kinda showcase. What makes these guys special? It shows you how these guys do. Really well with building up these layers textures of sound, right and. Yes, so you're about to hear that right now. This is the second clip for all deliberate speed..

"Love at some point or another in our lives we have all put our time and energy into something that we just simply were not happy with at the end of the day that is the case for a lot of Hollywood stars who never want to see their movie after leaving the set so here are a list of celebrities who hated their own movies Aries is a staple in pop culture but for hairy himself actor Daniel Radcliffe he was less than happy with his performance in half blood prince okay so my favorite movie to watch is Titanic miss Kate Winslet did what had to be done that when playing the iconic role of rose too bad she would rather forget it can you believe then twenty one year old actress appeared on screen in nothing but a necklace and Kate Winslet has tried her best to forget the ins how you're being shy at la buff actor Shiloh bluff has revealed that the second transformer movie transformers revenge of the fallen is not one of his favorites Sally field she is a prestigious Oscar and Emmy Award winning actress and some say that we're training on may in two thousand fourteen the amazing spider man two was a step down for her there are so many actors and actresses who have hated their own movies I could go on and on and on so I get a full list for you at pop Chris dot com you think you know Seinfeld's Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld didn't pitch a show about nothing the real pitch for the show was a psicom about how comedian gets a material the show about nothing was just a joke in an episode about the show within the show the pilot was filmed at stage eight of does he live Coalinga studios the same studios where I Love Lucy the Dick Van **** show and the golden girls were filmed and is currently the red digital cinema camera company studio in the pilot for Seinfeld there was no Elaine character just a sassy waitress named Claire played by Lee Garlington although the pilot didn't generate buzz some executives fall for the show while most people know the George Costanza was modeled after Larry David Jerry Seinfeld has a real life friend named mica stands that friendship didn't last long because Mike sue Jerry Larry and NBC for one hundred million dollars claiming invasion of privacy defamation of character the case was ultimately dismissed despite becoming a catchphrase Jerry only says Newman sixteen times throughout the one hundred and eighty episodes.

"The Tempe improv now it's a little different he will be reading from the best selling book letters from a not by Ted L. Nancy and Patrick joins us now in studio Patrick thanks for coming in well thank you mac it's great to be here what attracted you as a performer what attracted you to this instead we just don't say stand up or something else do no hard stand up is do you ever do them back the answer was no yes I don't know what to do stand up I'm a little green at the the stand up you gotta eat drink and brief that stuff in order to be great so I just had to start doing stand up at the tender age of fifty four on may I comment on stage and you know I've got to do but a ten or fifteen minute introduction which is essentially them stand up I've been a huge Seinfeld fan love John Seinfeld is the party character was that character created for you no but there is an evolution there it was a one off it was just an episode I think cakes I created a a bit of a character that a light so they brought him back there a couple of years I could've gone gone back I couldn't do it because I was on another show the CBS show for two years spent hours regular and they would they would let me no contract that I write anywhere else yet so that was a little frustrated in the show was on was probably the you know the eightieth rated show Friday night show and I am getting enquiries from sign fell right come back and I can't says one of those things where you get the call sign filled once you do a one and done and you're like yeah I'm gonna take my shot on this I'm gonna leave them with something that wants them to call me back was it a one liner was it was if the dead panned you know no it was I went in and I you know read for Jerry Larry David and they liked what I did and ma'am laugh and so was the jury's mechanic right right right I figured you know most of the guys go in the room they seem to be more like your Tony's in your Vinnie's you know that kind of thing I know is that the way it was written I just decided to what this guy just has a screw loose not all there yeah just a damn ball dim balled you know he's the kind of guy that's funny to watch from the outside and go what a more want to hang out with that nobody wants to hang out with them well Elaine did figure that out do you guys would break up all the time if you break up on a plane on one of the episodes of Seinfeld sure we broke up all the time they there's two didn't have anything in I just you know I just thought like it only he must've been moved you know remarkable set like I don't know there was something that she needed Patrick Warburton as our gas the is in town at the Tempe improv tonight one performance tonight I will be there in the performance dragging Patrick down like a millstone around his on a why he asked me but I'm glad he did at the Tempe improv tonight and of course tomorrow night there's two shows this is going to be a little different in the fact that it is a show not a stand up show but a show about a guy plunking corporations it's hysterical who is the best to work with did you enjoy being on stage with one more than the other now I wouldn't say that yeah did you know Michael Richards was a racist she he's not right now right now I know something horrible happened I know I know and I think he was trying to do something sort of edgy and yes free see it but there is the frustration of getting heckled it just didn't come across right and it's a tragedy that you know are because he's a very kind hearted soul who is not a racist but you know right I was being sarcastic and I know that you are yeah I I'm just as you know as friends of who is Kerr understands at your who knew him back in the day just you know just wanted you know wanted to show that but it seems like everybody that worked with Jerry just you guys all got along there was never there was never any Charlie Sheen tiger blood drama there was never this person's holding out in this person's holding out for more money absolutely but that all star to the top and Jerry is a very easy across hers now is he is he a friend is he a boss easy just what the guys got the name of the show so you got to listen to him what what what no I've never ever experienced or heard anything about Jerry being a hard **** yeah you just can't you down and I think he's just I've been on shows where you know if it was an actor show they would be very terribly and secure and make sure that you know they be insecure about other actors getting funny lines and secure a spot as well as David spade he's actually he is actually not one of them now I know I know of Davey and he's one of the funniest people naturally funniest people I've ever met you others he goes out there though that say I don't have anybody to be funnier than me and I've worked with them and I will not mention the names but Jerry's I've worked with them too and I won't mention any thanks a lot or you're looking right well you know you know what what one guy that comes to mind is Jimmy Kimmel Jimmy Kimmel doesn't want to be necessarily the funniest guy in the state he doesn't care I've seen an interview with them he wants it to be enjoyable for the audience if it's his line that's great wonderful if it's the gas line it's great even better and I think it's tough to find in Hollywood well you know a boy walking your works find out every day now today in your house bottom your burden joins us is gonna be the Tempe improv tonight you can get tickets to Tempe improv dot com tomorrow night as well to shows tomorrow night one show tonight I will be there just embarrassing myself in front of everybody's going to be great you're put in a costume or so I'll be embarrassing you well that's fine that's fine you're the headliner hi hi trying in Paris and every day it's a lot of fun Leo is what he does he's five years older than me but I think I act like the older brother picking on the little brother yeah that's basically what it is yeah he's only five years older than you when I went wait a minute yeah we did you I I know from watching the show before it that you wanted to be an actor your parents really weren't enthusiastic let's say about you know going to Hollywood becoming an actor did you want to be a serious actor or did you now or did you want to pursue comedy or did you just kind of wind up there I like to do both you know I just did phone with lily Collins and Simon Pegg which is very dramatically I just did a service called the should events for Netflix which is Emmy nominated while great which is a departure what do you see yourself as a serious actor or yeah for you but I gravitate I've gravitated the pastors in sitcoms and be out there great the I. N. voice work because you're right there in LA right there in LA and also succumbs to you work three weeks on one week off there were four hours a day I go to work play some golf and be at home and have dinner with my family that's cool hell that's a rate in your voice is so recognizable you know even on the radio when people are listening they know exactly who were talking a little over played little are you a little over played I guess that's what we're here and now yeah but when you go home you're here I mean it's like dad you know if you try to do something dramatic or get get to your room I'm not buying that does okay our who's funnier Larry David or Jerry Seinfeld when I when I watch David created or helped create Seinfeld yeah but what also when I watch curb your enthusiasm on H. B. O. with Larry David it is one of the funniest things and they're very they're two very you know obviously similar because Larry David who's funnier you know you can't compare they're both very different styles it was a great marriage what you're for Seinfeld to bring those two minds together and Jerry stills you know kinder gentler you know and then Larry's literally just occurred crude curmudgeon I mean most of the stories came from Larry or did most of the stories come from Jerry stand all I don't know I mean you know Larry was there during the sixties and when I did two episodes but then he was gone so I did most of my episodes during the ninth and final season and Larry was not there okay you're my bonded my connection in our slickers really with with Jerry and Jerry's band so you know in this industry if you got somebody like Jerry Seinfeld in your corner it's pretty special thing and he invited me to come play when they did the B. movie that was a lot of fun actually got to know Jerry better working on the movie we haven't seen any of Jerry around he's you know he's a producer you don't need to that's what producers do a high the curtains exactly any always say I'm no actor I'm a comedian because he was surrounded by awesome actors in you can tell that Jerry Seinfeld as funny as he was on that show he will he wasn't a great actor and he said I'm no actor well every other line he was smiling like he's gonna laugh right anymore and I think that's what made it special I think that's part of what actually made him a much better actor than anybody gives him credit for because he's so real yeah listen it Michael Richards is bigger than a circus clown yeah he's genius if you believe that this character actually well how would a guy an active that's his neighbor I mean half the time maybe half cracking up what are you are you for real right you are absolutely and sat right next door to me so we you know the audience so sorry thing you know sort of vicariously through Jerry Jerry was is just so authentic and real and just himself not pretending to be anybody else and that worked you know and that was part of the genius it's part of Janice Patrick Warburton tonight and tomorrow night at the Tempe improv make sure you come tonight that's right I will be there don't even bother with tomorrow night not getting if you can't go tonight go tomorrow night two shows Frank Caliendo will be forming as well tomorrow night yes our good friend Frank Caliendo Patrick again thank you so much for stopping in we really appreciate it and much success to you thank you gentlemen thank you very much how do we use all your weigh in on this actually I'm in all here pretty good deal the word is not weasel I was S. because they couldn't it's not the case it is the K. lawn right I did I I did say no I know one nineties I knew you at softball so hi they said Hey do you know anybody and I said not really I asked you yeah and you said maybe I know me well I said I don't really know anybody they said we have this person I said she's really good and they just said well could you do it I was like yeah I can read I mean that's what it is I'm just gonna sit up there and read don't sock get out thank you add certainly get up there be funny I want to see you isn't tonight tonight at seven thirty tonight now I'm I'm a funny guy because the funny guys the guy who's writing the letters the other sponsors are kind of funny but the letters are so brilliantly done I remember and he would he would get be taken seriously remain get reaction I love the fact that you weasel your way in here I think it's brilliant I was not the word is not we sold yesterday I was asked you I was there last shot to know their land you know anybody and you said not only me I know I said I'm I don't know what I'm trying to give you some credit for being a weasel this is great for you because it's a good result it's a good good we've got a very good we is another my high school nickname that's for sure who's your high school nickname it was bad rat rods were all rights I know where you can get acid I all right coming up next never did but I San Francisco is adopting a new language for criminals yeah do they even have criminals there and talk about the new language inside Becky Lynn is on Arizona's new station right now G. A. "Jerry Larry ticket deep dive into the. Bahiri columnist from the Atletic and KNB are warriors insider, Marcus Thompson on these. All right. We'll cut the funny stuff. We'll get right to the bottom line here. What's the latest on Durant? Young marcus. He's heard thanks giving you twenty five dollars for that. Traveling with the team today, we know that. But what what is your medical opinion on what happened last night and the future? So I did not sleep at a holiday. And so this this won't be good doctor take, but I just I think he's out for the rest of the series. I think there is a small chance he could pull the Willis Reed. And come back a game seven. But the last two cats raised kept him out for seven days. So we don't know if this is worse or not as not as bad, but I don't I don't imagine him being back. But you definitely in your heart of hearts seem to think it is a calf strain and nothing worse. I don't know. Why it would if it was worse? They wouldn't say. So like, it doesn't it wouldn't it? I don't know what the advantages for now, you wanna get the MRI first before, you know. You can detect an achilles tear though. Like, that's that's an easy call you can do that right away. Like, you know, what that is? And everybody behind the scene. So everybody behind the scenes was acting as if the warriors dodger Hughes bullet. So there was it wasn't like spin. It was genuine release. So I didn't I didn't walk away again that they're trying to pull the wool over our eyes or anything. Let's talk about life without Durant. If you're wagering man. Are you who what side? Would you rather have here? Would you rather have the warriors get one either at home or on the road, and in some house move on or no, no, they're not going to be able to beat this rockets team over four quarters without Katie. I'm taking the warriors. I mean, they got to win one game. The rockets have to win to one of those will be have to be at oracle and quiet as kept behind like, I know it was failed to all the wars of that was happening. But the rockets were gassed I mean, they were done Chris. Ball was terrible. He's through for fourteen. James harden took one shot in the fourth quarter. He wasn't even looking to score. And they gotta you know, they got to the free throw line to keep a close. But the warriors defense really was was a problem for them. So in the end, they're baking on Eamonn jumper job green like, you know, fill in the office of. Oh, so James does is not go sooner for quarter. I don't think they're going win. So I think the rockets have their own issues as well. So I probably fifteen threes in game six, but if somehow they don't think they'll be in big trouble. We've been having a little fun with this Steve Kerr's, double F bombs. Nobody works in media better. Nobody's smarter at. At not saying anything, he really doesn't want to what do you think the purpose of that was last night? Steve obviously setting the crowd bringing up his his apologizing to his mom, and then unleash unleashing to live f-bomb. What was behind that? I think he was just trying to like rally the troops. You know? I think he wanted to, you know, praise the effort he knows he won't have Kevin Durant. So he's kinda got to like, you know, big up the the current guys also think he was just filling a moment. Like there hasn't been games like that oracle for a while. Like we've been we've been talking a lot about how they don't have the oracle magic anymore. Like, they lose gay. That was a riveting game that like if you were there you felt it that was not a regular game. So it definitely I think he was filling a moment after the fact. You mentioned on Twitter. I believe that looney made himself some money. I mean, he clearly stepped up in the moment. The love. Seriously, five points nine boards. Twenty two minutes for loonie one d do you really believe that that there will be a big money offer for him? And also, do you think he has the ability to elevate in one of these, you know, either game six or seven he better like, I do I think he does just because he does all of the little things and like the part that's killing the warriors stuff like leading the rockets get off its of rebounds, right and loonies. He's begging. He's rotating me. He does all that little stuff that helps you win. I still think it's gonna be tough for a big man who can't shoot threes and doesn't score a low post to get a bunch of money on the free agent market. But I do feel like, especially if Kevin Durant leaves the warriors might say, here's here's here's an appreciation. Check for right. We'll make. We'll make the offers good enough that you know, I it's still nice for us. But it it'll be competitive with what's out there. I just don't see a huge market for. He's specifically for the warriors. And I think that's why he'll stay along. We're okay. To finish up on Durant though. The way you're talking. It. Sounds like okay. Maybe he missed Houston series. But if they do when one advanced to the western finals Durant play is that your guests. Well, I'm only giving you I got from everybody else. So I don't know what the hell's happening right now. I'm not I wasn't in the what we couldn't get him cower commie on. So we can only have to go through you. You'll give data somebody. But. Well, you got a good memory. He may go to eat and Sherwood Strahl Larry likes the idea if it would just Ethan Strauss, he would say, but he loves the three three names, Marcus, Marcus. What's your middle name? Maybe Wayne Wayne. Yeah. Marcus, Wayne Thompson, I think your your career would take off if you just started using the middle name not little away just threat way. Better may middle name, though, Wayne was always kind of when I was growing up. It was corny everybody'd be like Wayne's world wing. You wanna hear are you scarred by that wherever scarred? Right. But what you heard from your quotes sources and everybody there, then this is the type of injury you're out for a few days. But then he would come back. Yeah. I think he'd come back. I don't know if it'd be right at the start. He might miss a few games in the Western Conference finals, but they are sounding like he could come back like this is, you know, injury that he could come back from as long as they survive and keep playing I don't even out even think they're thinking, he'll miss it. You'll miss the next round. But in k b you know, he comes back from injury. He he's pretty quick either. So nobody was panicking. Nobody was like, oh, we're doing it was like more celebratory like that was close along. Those lines biz honest as you can you don't want anybody future to be impaired. But for the time being curry and Thompson in their heads say, yeah, have missed a few games. We'll get going. How highly doubt that I don't know from this late. Let me explain again. It's the same thing. I was battered with the forty Niners all his bad take Thursday. Oh, isn't that? All the four. You can't have Marcus the forty nine or offensive line was in a suite drunk dumping bear on each other. Is that a good look for professional athletes? We're living their best life. Yeah. What are they priest or something who's expected more like a moral, compass for professional athletes party? Go ahead. I mean, they beat each other and ahead of for Carey's hanging with cloistered nuns. I'm paying you two or three million dollars. I don't want you drunk at a public sporting event. That's all low. Why? Why not? Yeah. Okay. Well, you go ahead pay somebody three million. Three billion dollars here. Von Miller, you block von Miller you can drink you want. Haven't you can pluck von Miller, then go ahead and get drunk mcglinchey is good. But he's not at the I can get drunk stage. My my point was those guys say to themselves. Hey, we're not going to roll over and die. Now, we get off. Yes. I do. I do agree. They say that because that's what you have to say. But they're not like ooh, thank God to raise go. Now. The party really starts. Now. Thirty five point out the line up for riddance to that guy. Hey, where are the points gonna come from rant? You take drain off the floor. You're talking thirty five points. I'm looking at this bench Evans, nothing bogut. Nothing bell nothing. Wow. As far as points. I'm thinking the only guy who realistically could give you points. Maybe Gerard co. Maybe Quinn cook. Do you see either of those two guys being able to give them double figures because they may need it? Yeah. I also think looney to like he he could be a Finnish around the basket. I do think it's going to be like three more points from like four people right on top of they need a third thirty from from Stephanie Klee. So you know, dollar has show. He could get you twenty. You know, Dr mocking fifteen like it's gonna have like stripping numbers better be back. You know that that's what it's gonna take. And maybe one of these news. Maybe there's another Klay game six where you. That's up to crazy go for forty. I think it's gonna take something like that. But they they don't have a lot of points on the bitch Livingston, look young. What's again? Like, it's gonna be. It's gonna be sketchy. They're going to have to play great defense. And the rockets that's what they're going to have to curry last. I right when you're ready to give up on them. And when I said give up you say, yeah, this is not he's too banged up. You know with with the the finger and the ankle he come through and saves the game in the fourth is he really beat up to the point that, I know if you step on the floor, blah, blah, blah. But then he is having a hard time because he is injured. I don't know if it's the injuries as much as the rockets, I think it may be the combination probably seventy rockets thirty you know, he's doesn't have all of his his faculties. But it's how they're playing. He's off the ball. He's not getting much there. They're being physical. They're double team them. Like, it's all conspiring to make him struggle. And once he started struggling he just gets in his head, and he gets frustrated and he starts Russia. I don't think it's injury. I it doesn't help you not a hundred percent healthy, and I know is handed here, and he was saying that it's like telling up like your putter, and you're taping his hand all of a sudden. And now he's gotta put like it's just going to mess up the rhythm. So I think that's a small factor, but mostly it's just a rockets and PJ Tucker is stalking them. What do you think a green stepping up potentially in the next couple of games? I mean, I heard that he was the guy that kind of galvanized everybody in the huddle. When the injury happened. It seems to me only shot eight times last night. He's not a volume shooter. But I've loved now with no Durant. I I've loved to see him put the ball in the deck and attack the rim with ferocity and then drawn kick and hopefully that that can generate some offense how many shots would you like to see green take in game six and seven if there is a seventh game. Probably like, you know, ten is good, especially if they're like he's in transition pushing the ball. I think more anything you just want to push in the ball and making stuff happen. Wha- when this is all over when we're looking back on his run. Here's what one thing we will be able to say definitively. Draymond green always shows up in the biggest game. Like, that's I mean that dude is unbelievable. He could he could miss twenty three's. But when you really need to make one he's gotta make one he's gonna make the plays gonna get the rebound like he just shows up. So I'm not putting any limits on him. He could get twenty you might hit a triple double like who knows as long as he's pushing it. I think the words I think the war is live with it. All right. We friends with Marcus Thompson. I I don't understand publishing, but you've got that book coming out on Durant. We sweat in a little bit. I mean, you would have to. I've done my part. I know, but he has a serious injury. If. So you just let the book come out without mention of there's nothing else. I can do like I wrote it that's eighty thousand words of my life. I poured it as blood in the word. I understand that I respect that. In fact, let's go to a forty Niner game and dumped bear on each other. To celebrate it must do it is when you have to add that to the book, if he was out for year, no books out like I mean, maybe maybe, you know, epilogue later on down the line, especially after he makes a decision to summer like, well, we'll probably add we add it to the curry book afterwards. So that's possible. But yeah, man, you got to control what you can control Gary. That's all I wrote it. I turned today we good that's Marcus, Wayne Thompson, everybody. Uh-huh. Says no Wayne middle names too. Reminiscent of John Wayne Bobbitt. Bruce, Wayne, how about John Wayne Casey, one of the great murders in the United States. So Wayne, but you you never promote the name, Wayne if it comes out to be meter Larrea. Yeah. Yeah. No time to his mentioned was when I was in trouble as a key. That's that this momma screaming markets, Wayne Thompson and get you. But now, the is one Thompson, Marcus, we gotta jump. We got giants baseball looking at us with a lot of stress. We'll talk to you soon. Good update their markets. Thanks. Yeah. Marcus doesn't think Marcus Wayne Thompson good day on that Durant stuff. Hey, better news than than.

"I mitch. Tomorrow morning. So your show that I love and I'm not a big TV guy. Life, and I used to make sure we. Absolutely love. The ending. I was very happy. Patrick, Jane spoiler. Spoiler alert that I was very happy that he killed John. Right. And I thought he had to come in. And I thought it was. It was just amazing. However, ten minutes earlier the way he was able to get out from. John Lewis holding onto the whole series read. John was just his mental genius. Who was always a step ahead of other guys absolute genius. And yet the writers decided one up on red John was four Patrick change's sake. Can I show you something? Getting closer. Right. John and then openness under jacket and have a third fly out. Magician by I mean, it couldn't have been any worse. If you had a flower sported water. Yeah. I was I was just once angry. Untouched. Rated the us. Whitebait writers come up with a better way to just get running and moving around. Right. But then I forgave them a little bit closer. Straight. Yeah. Yeah. Now, I know I know what you mean what you mean? A lot of fans of the mental did not did not enjoy twist at all. That's true. Yeah. I actually thought that the guy that he wound up killing. Or apparently kills. In the mall, also taught that guy should have been red, John. Much easier. Much more believable. And it really threw me when he wound up dying. This guy makes up. Okay. Great show. Thanks that. They also make life. Thanks, man. Take care. Three one two nine eight one seven two hundred is a phone number shocking or a really memorable or crazy TV finales. Here's A J in Kenosha on WGN. I'm jay. Yeah. High net. Can you hear me? Yes. I can. Okay. Well, I'm good of embarrass myself. When I was eight years old. I. Enjoy the television show the flying nun. Okay. I was eight years old at the time and the final show was about a couple an elderly couple what the a woman let step in bed and the man wanted to marry her. So what happened was they did not have a tendency afford this couple. And so the the the flying nun. The casino owner agreed to be attendance toward this couple ceremonies. And so with that said, the the camera film showed the characters standing in front of their bed a couple that were getting married and the minister was there jabbing, you know, the right this wedding. Right. So I just wanted to let you know that and I embarrassed myself, and I really did it know that when I was eight years old, and I saw the original show, but I happened to catch a remake of it or or rewrote a rerun rerun out with and so I just thought you know, I just wanted to embarrass myself. Okay. Jay, the mission accomplished take care. There you go. All right, there you go. Yeah. The flying nun one of those ridiculous shows in the history of television. I used to watch it when I was a kid. I watched it. All right parks and rec. Amy Poehler beloved comedy took a risk when it set its entire final season the seven season in the future the series finale went even further and farther in a storyline. That moves from two thousand seventeen to two thousand forty eight. We see the fates of our favorite pony residents unfold. Andy and April have a boy named Jack Ron is made superintendent of the pony national park. Donna is happily married. Tom is a motivational speaker. But the most surprising vision of the future is that either. Leslie or her bow, Ben, we're not sure which has presidential level secret service. And then by the way, Jerry, Larry, Gary, a becomes mayor of pony. I final season was kind of interesting. I actually thought that it was very interesting. How they they jumped in time like that. The then someone mentions the all in the family finale, but that didn't go that didn't I really didn't end because Archie bunkers place came after that. So the show in some form or another continued. But by the time Archie bunkers place came on that show really fell apart. Eight hundred area code says the ending of the show how I met your mother really did a disservice to fans who watched it from the very beginning. It's true. Are the reason giant gloves turn to go before you crack another bucket of balls in Scottsdale takeoff? Ow, fun go and always remember each wouldn't be spraying without you. The crap of that cactus league on MPR six eighty sports leader. Now, Jerry Larry ticket, deep dive into the jobs bay area columnist from the athletic and KNB are warriors insider, Marcus Thompson on these sports leader. Really has become Mr. Camby. Are there's not a week not a day goes by where he does not appear on one of our shows. And we're all we're all the lucky forward. Here is Mr. Camby are Marcus Thompson, Marcus you'll enjoy that handle. Sure, why not. Mr cambier. Yeah. I would say you're on. Is there a show you're not on? Yeah. I'm not. I'm not only of the late night shows after seven I'm no, okay. Well, you go as a Marcus. I'm looking at the odds for the NBA finals they have odds on each series. Like odds that we get warriors bucks ninety two four and a half to one same with Toronto. Boston warriors in the finals is five to one Philly in the warriors in the finals five to one. I'm just kinda wondering I mean at this point. It's it's gonna be it's a wide open deal, and it be decided this spring or early summer who's going to be coming out of the east. But what do you think would be the most entertaining series? What do you think would be the more the most difficult series for the warriors? Boston. They're loaded enough. They match up well enough. They had high res. So there's some history there still like a quandary for them. You know, a part of me, I must admit I'm much rather. Spend on in Boston. Disclosure like will be very right. Toronto would be good obviously for the for the kicking it high. But I get Boston. They just they have the experience they have the matchups they have Tyree. They add the coach there. They just have a lot that you know, would make for all the storylines. I do think Milwaukee will be a tough match up both. But I'm sorry. I probably have to choose hanging out in Boston over hanging out in Milwaukee. Learn having going back and forth a little bit on sacrimento. He's a big kings fan. Obviously. I see the talent there. Just for fun. You think the kings are an eighth seed Lakers are an eight CD. How do you stay? You stack up both those teams playoff chances. I'm speaking it into existence. This is happening. The AT. I do think the Lakers will end up a little bit higher for like LeBron. But she said everybody somebody's fat lie going, and, you know, get them to the seven seater sixty or something like that. But I'm gonna kings h c lawyers gold one center for game three. That's what I'm looking. Existence. Thank you. Hey, let me ask you this Marcus with with the warriors. I know I know it's only one hundred miles. I went to college there. It's a buzz up to drop my daughter off in Davis, which is almost all the way to sack as it's not very far. But if the warriors did play the kings would they fly would they fly to sack or would they bus it? I'm sure they busted. What's the flight is therefore can you fly? Take your own car, though, don't you eventually you could fly because it's you know, I mean, he cut a little time off, you know. What's that drives her own car? Right. Well, that's what I'm asking. I'm just drive yourself. Yeah. Nobody's. Forty million a year for curry. A school bus. They put on some luxury bus. Yeah. But those kind of buzzing you fifteen twenty minutes, right? You start talking to Howard have hold on. How about you? Mark is on the bus. Would you take the bus or would you fly? I will be driving myself, very go. Wherever I go. Maybe a little party bus. A little party bus going back and forth. I'll be nice. What about the old ladies on their way to dot com? Hey when Kerr makes announcer that cousins is gonna play start playing more minutes. Just if it is twenty four twenty five now, what does that mean thirty thirty thirty two. It means he'll finish probably finished games more than he does. Now. Nobody's claiming that many minutes. Right. So I feel like he can't go that much higher. But I'm imagining it'll be somewhere between twenty eight and thirty two and a lot of depend on how he looks like looking at you. I think mostly it's finishing games causes wants to finish games. He doesn't what curry taking them out. Like when already game getting close. Now come have a seat. Let's go with the dead lineup. I think he's going to give them more of those minutes. Yeah. That's what we were super early. I was surprised we had Mike Brown on about a half hour go. And we said does this mean that cousins is gonna finish games? And he goes not necessarily. We may if we're going good with our smaller lineup. And then we joked about who's gonna tell cousins, you know. Yeah. Who who used to you sending I feel like Jaren colleges? Ten Kawakami row has been given the brunt of the angry cousins already like before he before he was healthy. He said he was miserable. He was taking it out on Willie granted year in college, and he was being real physical. And he was just angry because he wasn't playing like college colleges the one cousins because he's already been like manhandled by somebody else because are in college is already and Dorchi much, really green. Like, all right. We're talking to Marcus Thompson of the athletic does a bang-up job covering the warriors in the league for on the guest line for the athletic report out of a polish media outlets as the warriors may be on the verge of Marsin gore. Tot what kind of contribution? Do you think he would make? That's that was interesting. I noticed cousins wasn't very good that he would be somebody they'd want. Now the question is like when it gets to the playoffs, and you're playing against Stephen Adams and Rudy go bear. And you're running out of big bodies. I think that that that that's probably what worries it is doing it. Okay. See, but a Western Conference finals and you've got Steven Adams. And maybe they like, okay, we if cousins do make it we still want another one. I think that's what he beat somebody who can run the floor each probably a little better than what I thought if you're not gonna play very much if cousins is playing so he's not one of those guys you feel like you're the fifteen guy. I'm ready for you, though. That's interesting. I'd be surprised if they actually pull the trigger. But if they do I think it's because they know they're gonna have to deal with Rudy Gobert and Stephen Adams, and maybe that's a lie to put on cousin shoulder. You've got that book coming out on. On Kevin Durant. Or is it out? May fourteenth may fourteenth. All right. We'll look for did him winning the MVP. The all star game me anything that just might click to him. I'm back. I'm king of the hill at this point in the season. I want to continue to look at New York. Thinking about it at all. I mean, he played. I mean, he got a thirty leg. Didn't even matter. I just think he rolled out a big get twenty five. So if be worked a little hardy gets Bob more at thirty. So I don't I don't think it mattered at all. He he was much. Be much more worried about him kicking it with guy. That's right. People lost their mind over guys know hallway chatting, I mean that that's. And the players are keenly aware of the reaction all their every move gets. Right. I mean, they're they're not this is not lost on them. It's like like everybody. Everybody's a little bit like come on. Right. Like first off seriously talking to the number two and people were like that is that a reference to the two contract. I come on may two. But then also come on. You're watching the cameras record you big. We'll go have you. See Durant all the time. He's got the towel over his mouth. Right. And curry they all they all know, they're being watched when they really don't want to be seen. They take precautions. These two are chilling out in front like they gotta they gotta take one Cobra ability to, but we can't get a little bit ridiculous. I mean, they're they're good friends. But that doesn't mean that doesn't mean they're gonna play together. It doesn't mean they're not gonna play together. But it's just crazy to kinda read too much into that. I probably say this too much, but you know, the back in the day there wasn't as much media. He didn't have the bloggers or any of this. Stuff. So you people got to know each other a little bit, and they paid I think a little bit more respect than what we see today. Do any of the ball players. Oh, really just say, let's go out and full one of these kids now and pretend this pretend that in other words, just have fun and make the media out to be stooges. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Do you know who graded that is very my, okay? Example of where it just say, let's let's make these these stooges. Jump to their. We'll during the finals, I think it was either the it was the second finals, and you know, they all have their little turns right, where they go through this podiums practice, and so he's going to the practice and all these media trying to get very much. But so he puts his arm around he walks off. And he's like, I'm just gonna talk to you. I'm gonna make them think I'm telling you something like what they get. And he just like saying nothing, but everybody everybody's waiting to be like, yeah, I'm not talking Marcus. We talked to the game. You give it to me. We talked to the beginning of the show about Vlada. You know, I was saying that you know, when they made that trade two years ago, I was with the chorus of people saying Vlade as high as nuts. And now, I'm looking at it. And here it is two years later, and you know, pelican's got sixty five games of boogie, and then he tears out the achilles Sacramento. If you look at it wind up with Darren, FOX, buddy healed Harrison Barnes, Harry Giles, and Frank Mason. I'm just kinda wondering what did you think of that trade at the time? And obviously, it's, you know, Vlade as you know, he's like he's like a hero in Sacramento today. But what did you think of the deal two years ago? I thought it was smart. I mean, the dude had been there for seven eight years ahead one. So at some point you got to realize this this, isn't it? You know, it took curry for years right near five. They probably would have been like all right? Maybe we need move this guy. I you know, if there's a qualm to be at it's like how they ended it. I remember all that all star when he found out he was trading 'cause we were asking the questions, they were like are you did you know, you got traded. So probably how they handed it wasn't the best. But like at some point you play with a guy seven years, you're paying them all this money. And you know, you gotta pay him. You gotta make that decision. I don't think I don't think franchises do that enough just say cut our lousy. We've got a great run. Let's try to rebuild this thing. Because this isn't working and sack did that and it works so kudos to them. For two. More is going to pick up anybody to fill out the bench. I do think. So I think you know, the by market is gonna like determine that. I think they're going to get a buyout from what I've been told they they were leaning towards the guard. But some of those in and out like Wesley Matthews going to Indiana. So maybe maybe all that's left is a big, man. But I do think they'll add somebody because they need they need something off the bench. They definitely need another shooter. All right. It's no question. Hey, who gets the loudest response tonight? The we believe warriors are going to be honored. Is it is it? Monty Ellis is baron. Davis is it stack. Jack Barnes j rich who gets the loudest cheer from the fans. Jason richardson. Really, we'll get the allows here as always he's the one who did six years losing. The way gave his art, right? Yeah. Where it's great what they did that series with with Dallas. But they still they came in eighth place that year, you know, what I mean? And people thought we believe you talk to some younger people. I think what they do. They won the division or something. We believe they were eighth place. I guess my question. Do you think that's a little overrated? What they did. I think in. Yeah. No, right. Yeah. It's like they are kind of treat it as if they wanna championship when they they made it in big around saying the MVP, right? Yeah. I mean, it just made it to the second round. But I think we believe is a little unique in that. Like now that we have the hindsight that was the spark like that style of play going small that defense the the long wings being able to have smaller guys cover big dudes like the blueprint was kinda lay with that. We believe TV, you could see what could become an essence Steve Kerr just kinda built on it with a with the better off it. So in hindsight, you could see how that was spot. Is it that much is it like big? Probably right. He should. It was a big deal. You're looking at it through a prism of championships. And what's happened since go back and look at the warriors and the dozen years prior to we believe it was winning every year in the teens or the twenties thirties, the fact that they.

Unfortunately, we won't have all the information. Gosh that would be an improvement. Maybe one day we can get there where we can have that in real time. "We will be knocking. Up tonight knocking Larry is selected his ten favorites. Slow jam slow jam sicker Valentine's Day. There's something about you. Go up to your lady and go my man, we're going to knock boots. They kind of takes you. Call your lady, man. Well, he's just man. I think he was all the fellas out there getting ready to knock boots. But by the way, I asked to ask the question before Doug fister who hit the line drive? Doug fister. Melanin two thousand twelve World Series. Yeah. The white shark, Greg or blonde. Greg right off glancing shot up. Doug fister. Had he stayed in the game as you. Well know where the great fister did. They came out shortly. I should've left, but yeah, the the white shark that. That's good giant. Yeah. It was good giant outfielder vote when he's a starter little different deal that he started in the World Series in some pretty good team instead of put centerfield on a couple of World Series teams. Well, who who else was the center fielder, though, what do you mean who else? Well, I mean, he was the starter for the whole year. Well, I mean, go look at the two thousand twelve World Series or twenty fourteen or both didn't he played in Gregor Blanco. Play a ton of centerfield in both those October's, I believe I believe he did. All right. Well, if they went under is was in the mix the first go round dodgers stores. So I meant they should have. I just started over block. I was asking Mike affair Carlson's going tonight. He supposedly practice yesterday. Sharks caps. Go tonight has always tank. San Jose's won six in a row. Mike is like a ritual here. Larry sincere with that. Or just a bunch of crap. Well, overwhelmingly go with him Brian. I think that was fake and what an awful transition from talking Gregoire Blanco straightened Eric Carlson. All right. Squeeze my Carlson in. We we brought up. The fact that were done is the only go ahead might say it out loud. I don't want the audience than just as Larry so worried about it and the projected lineup tonight. There is no Eric Carlson Kuching there, of course, coaches in there, and we all love on Valentine's Day. You gotta make sure he's on the line. I again, Mike sincere question about coach. Or now, Jerry Larry loves coach. I do love by the way. How many how many how many coaches teeth has? He really lost. Oh is there is there any hockey player? That's like, hey, man. I played my whole career. I've lost not. I was lucky. All right. Well, back Neil. Did you send that highlight of James Neal puck hits him in the face, and Gary you see this explosion of white chick chiklis firing in the air. There's teeth teeth his mouth exploded. But has there ever been a hockey player when his whole career just lucked out didn't lose any teeth? Yeah. There are in fact next segment I'll go team by team. Guys. I I've found that you ask. Yeah. No. I've got I've got three. Got three dentists on the whole will break it down. Hey, john. We came up and we got all excited Super Bowl week work done. The old running back was given a little piece of the team by Arthur Blank's Atlanta. And he's the only living player that. And then what he said to. He goes. I think I'm the only one Larry has a list set of athletes who've been. Yeah. Athletes who've got one hundred okay? This is the list that I have tell me if there's if you know anybody else who's on this list worked on got a piece of the pie in Atlanta. Thank you. Michael Jordan owns ninety percent of the Charlotte Hornets, and are you with that? That's that's probably the Robert Johnson as you. Well know, the man who founded be that's could call shack O'neil, he wants the mayor of Sacramento vers head didn't he own a piece of the king's does he did he divest himself of that ownership? Yeah. You remember we had some of what Marcos Brittan I said, I'll give you a hundred bucks every time shack actually, visit Sacramento that was just a PR. But it says he's now it says he has a piece of the pie. No. I know. But I'm just one percent is good. Santa's wing Gretzky owns the Phoenix coyotes. Okay. Very good the entire team. He owns. I didn't know, you know. And Ryan is a minority owner in the Texas Rangers you see the big right hander behind home plate. Y'all Ming owns the Shanghai Sharks in the CBA. The Chinese Basketball Association is good research. So there you go. Yeah. Serena and Venus own a small piece of the pie with the Miami Dolphins and very that was done. I'm sure for PR reasons, but good for them. I will agree with you. Any percentage is a good for magic owns the dodgers owns, you know, he's another small Warner. Of course, the dodgers. But make sure you got two times. And then magic it'd be funny. If they told magic, hey, we'll let you in on this deal, but you have to sit next to Lasorda and pretend you like him in times a year. Believe me spends a lot of time with Tommy. David Beckham owns an MLS team. I'm not sure if that was given to him Oscar de LA Hoya owns a piece of the Houston dynamos. That's it. I didn't know that credible now. John Elway owns the Colorado crush which is arena Rena league team. I think and then Mario Lemieux I didn't realize this, Mike Marietta. Mu is is the owner of the pens. He's the controlling owner. Do we know that's the whole thing. I I've the majority owner, I don't know if he had the whole thing though. Every penguins game every penguins game. But whenever you flip around there. He is sitting in his in his nice suit. Aren't you surprised though that that list? So that's thirteen people. Somebody said Jerry Richardson is no longer with us. And I probably missed a couple along the way, but we're talking thirteen to fifteen athletes in history own a piece of the pie when you think of all the athletes and all the leverage plays in all the agents attached to these athletes. I can't believe that that number is in the teens. I can't believe there's not one hundred or two hundred or more passed you former athletes who have a piece of the pie just shows you the owners ownership will, you know, the last thing they want to do. Well, you're going to see how it's going to be LeBron. Hey, maybe Durant seriously. Maybe curry one day, you know, because they make enough now. Yeah. They don't have to fake it. All right. We've got love coming up Marcus Thompson coming up. It's all on these sports later lost to get into the future. Or by JR wins dot com and the views opinions and picks expressed do.

I mean it now if you win and said, hey, if your son works, hard and baba blah a one day, maybe he could play for Michigan. But if this story is true happens more basketball. I think tank as you can see the, you know, hey, the kids seventh grade, but he's seven one and he looks like shock, and he's got muscle development of a twenty six year old, man. And he's you know, but here's the father. He says the family was shocked an excited for the opportunity. He says Harbaugh called him up on the phone and told him your son has a scholarship to Michigan. I mean, that's and that's pretty I honor. It sounds the honor. It also don't think that high school game should be on television. I just kidding me. They're everywhere. I go. I know and again as we used to have Bob lattice saw the day LaSalle coach, he agreed. But good. Had a lot of his games on ESPN. Exactly there. Dennis. How's games are on ESPN? But that's the point. I'm making is that I think if you make it like like, LeBron James or somebody. Okay. Just part of your your living. But to me if you're on as a high school kid, doesn't that make you think you're something special? And I just wonder if for every guy who goes on from there. It would make us think we're special because we didn't grow up with impotency grew up with eight. It's not a special adds a good point. That's a good point too. I will agree with that that okay? But I'm just saying that these kids that are on. It's incredible. Mike kid played at north Keith this year, you know, I can watch film of you know, from the huddle dot com or whatever of and I'm seriously, I'm watching I'm watching sideline wide. I'm watching an end zone wide. I it's like I'm watching NFL films of Northgate play Rodriguez high school, or whatever it's it's incredible stuff. It really is. And and that's a great point, especially if you can watch your son a little bit on these scouting films. My thing though, is that these kids get recruited them. Because now they got highlights you can just send an Email. But just that you. Freshen at that as that you are something special and totally I mean for for every kid who goes off. But if you don't get the scholarship or you don't or these guys that don't go pro, man. Oh, man. It's just so many stories that you're used to be a big shot since your kids. Seventh fricken grade twelve. Like five years away from shaving by the way. You're listening to Gary and Larry on Cambier San Francisco KC in HD, two San Mateo, the sports leader, and George Karl is gonna join us bottom of the hour. But this story I am cheeses before. And I got I know you don't wanna go into down this road because we like. Like this guy. We liked this guy. But this story is the most disturbing story. I've heard this week definitely in this week, probably months. John wetland. You see this story bay area native. I believe cardinal Newman high school Santa Rosa guy. I'm not sure about cardinal Newman. But I know he's a Santa Rosa guy. He's a former major league three-time all-star with the New York Yankees nineteen Ninety-six World Series MVP with the Yankees came up with the dodgers. He's been charged in Texas with continuous sexual abuse of a child under the age of fourteen wetlands fifty two he's accused of of of having a four year old perform a sexual act on him. Yeah. That's that's the end. I mean that is the end yet. I I didn't know I didn't heard the four. Yeah. Four years old four years old. That is just the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. It's obviously heinous. And you know, I know he's a local guy. No, he has family here. And I know there's there's two sides every story these are accusations. That have nothing's been proven. We need to give him that. But that is just you mind me asking we've got this far is just like a that was the parent of the four year old. I don't I don't know the details other than it was it was was charged in Texas with continuous sexual abuse of a child under the age of fourteen. And then when you read the details, it says it mentions that it was a four year old saw me, and I just unbelievably disturbing. I probably shouldn't even brought that up. But it is a is one of the major stories. Out there this morning, and obviously had cash other. When I first started here. Larry his or called in. There was a musician. And he would you know, just kind of a cool guy and back and forth, and he would call in and his son. My guys was. I mean, he really had a great baseball career. But that's he's he's if indeed that's true. It's it's a six. It's a it's. Yeah. Is this the unthinkable? Sorry. Sorry to bring us down. I mean, that's that's in the news. I'm just curious what our audience is feeling on Antonio Brown. You know what? I mean. Is there your loving the Antonio Brown's yet? Yeah. Because I think that automatically makes you I mean, hey, forty Niners. All of a sudden, there's an air of excitement around them. Instead of let's wait and see what happens and hopefully Garoppolo comes back one hundred percent healthy, you get a guy like that. And I think there's there's the interest level jumps up. And I think there's an excitement level that good draft choices. Yeah. Great. But when you get somebody like that it's like to say to nine you guys should should bring Antonio Brown on the air. Sure. What he says on Cambior would make national news. I'm sure it would I you know, it's this all to me. I mean, not that. I'm telling you anything, you don't know. It's all gonna come down to Shanahan and Lynch, and how they view it. Yeah. How they view where there rebuild is at how they view their wide receiver. For core. I will say this a quick perusal of the forty Niners depth chart shows you that they have severe needs at wide receiver. I mean, look what they have Dante Pettis coming off an injury marquees Goodwin. Was awful this year. Couldn't stay healthy. Couldn't stay on. The field. Wasn't dependable at all Kendrick Barnes and undrafted free agent who can't get lined up correctly in week seventeen. Trent Taylor is a tiny little guy doesn't separate who's coming off of some horrendous. Injuries is back. This year screwed him up Ritchie James is a small bodied speedster who flash some things, but durability questions left and right peer gar son is clearly moving on at the end of the year. So I mean, it's a ghost town. They don't they don't have wide receivers. They clearly need to make an investment this off season in wide receivers. Now. It doesn't have to be Antonio Brown. Maybe so del Beckham junior. Maybe it's in the draft. Maybe it's both. Maybe maybe they go free agency and the draft. But I would say if you said right now the Niners number one and number two needs. They don't have any outside pass rusher worth a damn. And they don't have a wide receiver outside of Dante Pettis that I think you can really say, yeah. That guy's gonna be on the on the team two years from now. So why receivers severe need out, you know, outside pass rusher. Ab- a Joey Bosa. I mean, one of the one of the big decisions one of the big interesting things to follow here in the next. You know, couple months as we get close to the draft is what Tarazona gonna do Arizona's get the first pick in the draft. And they're either gonna take Nick Bosa, which I don't know what they're what defense they can run. And they get around a three four they can run a four three going around three or four. They're probably not gonna take Nick Bosa. Then people say oh Cuyler Murray because their coach, right? Said once upon oh, I think he's gonna be great. He's not bound by that. And they have they have Josh Rosen. But I mean, yeah, do they go to they trade? You know, they they could trade down with the, you know, the Jaguars or the New York Giants or one of these teams looking to move up for twain Haskins or Cuyler Murray, they could take the big defensive tackle from from Alabama, Quinn and Williams who had a monster year, they can take big at over from Houston. They can take Josh Allen the the outside rush guy from Kentucky if they're going to run a three four maybe they go with Josh Allen. He's kind of a three four outside backer. But we don't know what defense are gonna run. But ultimately it comes down to what they do at one. And if they go quarterback, the Niners could be, you know, have Nick Bosa who's a very polish powerful, you know, very versatile player, very athletic. He could fall in their lap now. And then the other counter to that is he didn't play this year because of injuries his brothers. Missed a lot of time because of injuries the boasts of brothers are talented, but they don't play a lot of football in. At least in recent history tells. Us that paid off for the older one it did. But I mean, do you want to invest the second pick in a draft on a guy who's you know, not gonna play every single week. I mean, they they gotta do their due diligence and figure out to Nick Bosa sit out the sheer solely for financial reasons. Or does Nick bozo. Not loved to play. Some people are really talented. They don't love to play you better love to play. If I'm an investor top five pick out, and I will for the tenth time this morning say that's why would never be a general manager is that I wanna see something now. And if I'm Lynch, and I'm Shanahan you have another year. Like, you did the last two patients is gonna wear out and you made oh, wait hope this draft pick develops you made by the time it comes down to your your fourth or fifth year. I know they got along contract. But man, do I want the wolves of my door. I I wanna I want some excitement now and a guy can help me win. Golden what you really need you need a great player. Doesn't matter. What position? Mcshea? We mentioned this yesterday. Mcshane's got his top thirty two out. This is the top five Nick Bosa one Quinton Williams from Bama to the LSU linebacker, Devon white whose of you know, think Patrick Willis. He that's what he is. He's three Jeffrey Simmons the big defensive tackle from Mississippi State is number four. He's interesting because he might be the most talented player in the draft. But also a domestic violence thing in his past which probably the Niners. Steer clear that greedy Williams the corner of Mela she was five so all defensive players basically in the top of the draft. Maybe somebody reaches for Haskins mcshea has Haskins at eleven and Cuyler Murray. He says is going to go twenty four th overall. So he's got he's got Murray. More end of the round one guy. Not a tile round weighed on him your player what has to happen between now on draft day. But that's how it's shaking out today. Real quick couple of these callers here on Brown lucky. Go ahead. San Francisco Cambier. Yes, sir. What's a hockey? Another need to go get Antonio crooked and a fish bugger picked off many me to go get him quicker than away. Burger picked up at two in the morning. I would say you gots to make it fast. And you're just a tick tock finger down. I haven't been to take tax. What is it? No, no. Oh my God. Man. The best fish burger cheese burger after two o'clock in the morning. Okay. Yeah. Problem is now the when I got married I met this young lady. She'll let me out of the house at two in the morning. Not hanging on third street looking for burgers now. Lucky? I've never chewed never too late to change real quick though, you kind of riding with me make something happen. And he's a guy who can do. So. Yes, he is. He's the top guy that can do. So any wants to come play for us? Thank your lucky seat at the two AM. You wanna just talk thirty seconds of Derek just for the flipside go, Derek. Jerry, Larry, thanks for taking my call. These sports leader. I you know, I love to have Brown. He's the cherry on the cake. But we need we need. We I don't want to do it. The disaster that's been for people that are listening in our on forced to be on ObamaCare. We saw Blue Cross Blue shield Humana. At many others, canceling more and more plans and getting out of more and more counties. This coming year already reporting that. It's a state like they have to there doesn't seem to be any end in sight for this. My right, you I think you could say that Ben it sure doesn't seem that way. We're we're watching closely to see what's transpiring in DC among the legislatures among the committees that are studying this. We also have our ears. But but as a whole we're continuing to hear and see pricing increases going up again this year and additional insurance dropping out. So it doesn't appear that anyone's really going to take a clear direction during this during this legislative year. So let's talk about liberty for a second for people that aren't familiar with liberty healthshare. I am a member of liberty healthshare. I found out about liberty through some family and friends after we lost our doctors on on ObamaCare plan. I'm an independent contractor with my work. So I have to get my own insurance. And after our doctors, we lost her doctors. Even Obama said don't worry if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor. Clearly that was a lie. We were stuck in a situation where we had an extremely high deductible high premiums and terrible coverage. That's where liberty came in for us. So for people that know nothing about liberty. What? Liberty healthshare is and how it is something that is and I want to make this clear it qualifies you under ObamaCare as having coverage even though it's not traditional insurance. Bring your absolutely right medical cost sharing. And liberty healthshare is a recognized method of funding healthcare in the Affordable Healthcare Act and actually the ACA exempts members that are participating in a healthcare sharing ministry from the individual tax mandates, but let me take just a second to just state from a liberty healthshare perspective. We're a national nonprofit organization, essentially like minded people like yourself, your listeners that that share each other's medical expenses on a regular monthly basis, and we actually share those medical expenses. Really by a simple concept that that Christians have been doing for decades way to tap into the heart really of the American tradition because we are truly just neighbors directly helping neighbors with medical expenses. So let's talk about the cost issue here. A lot of people hear this. And they say, well, there's gotta be a catch. You know, it's not going to let me go. See the doctors that I wanna go see this may be too much money that I can't afford or it may not give me enough coverage. So that I'm too liable when I hit max out of pocket, etc. Explain that for people that are listening nights. They understand truly what we're talking about. When it comes to those issues. Sure, let me address the first part in terms of the doctors and things of that nature. We we we have no network, and we we do not have contracts with doctors per se, we have agreements, and we were allowed to go to the doctor of your choice to the provider of your choice and that works to a program multiple options that we have..

"Now, Jerry Larry ticket, deep dive into the bay area columnists from the athletic and. Warriors insider, Marcus Thompson on these. God, Marcus Thompson is here, man. Who knows the NBA we've hung out together. We've I guess Marcus you, and I are probably on the same wavelength on most everything. Correct. My brother. Everything. All right. Larry. Thank you. Larry chastise me for saying at this point season. If you ask me do you pick the warriors or the field? I would probably take the field to win the NBA title. You've been there you understand the game. What say you? Hey, I thought I'd just say everything, but I'm gonna go warriors. Yeah. All right. You don't think this is why the athletic deemed him valuable is very valuable as a knows? It's a shame. He's larry. Getting you tickets for Monday's championship game. Yeah. You should actually twelve dollars right now. Yeah. No. You know what I'm going on? It's just I don't see the dominance. That we've seen in the previous years and there's room for a slip up being along the Western Conference route or Toronto in the finals. So call me crazy. I call myself a man with a vision, Marcus is that I don't think it's crazy, which I think you're actually more. It's more closer to that. That has ever been in his dynasty. Thank you. I just think that in the end in the playoffs talent with out. They just simply have more talented. Everybody else. Does cousins does cousins come in? And is a hit immediately. I think so I think just just by sheer fact that you got a guard of it's not like. Let's see how your achilles field. You're like, no, you better guard that dude because it's still DeMarcus cousins, and you gotta Gardo like that's all they need is a Senate. You have to guard for me. I feel like it. I I don't know how he blows this actually where does it where do they feature him? Do you think on the block or at the three point line? I think you'll go high post just today like that space. You know, I think we'll go elbow area. And you know, they if they're ready to pick and rolls at a guard, which you're gonna go right down low that that's all that's all. They don't have. That's the one piece. They don't have if if they get a point guard stuck on a big minute as little as like looney. Gotta do right. Or was I gonna do. What's your and Bill gonna do? Now the point guard owner, you just go back them down and go get a bucket and. At thirty percents. You get a bucket eighty guard. Elite warriors Rockettes tonight one of the games of the night in the NBA for sure. Klay Thompson scored sixteen points or less than seven of the last eight games. I was talking to people around the team. And and a couple of big guys said the same thing, which was the clay is just not wired to be able to play his best in a contract year. And that maybe the pressure of that contract year is way on him and impacting him. I mean, you're you know, the personalities you get a real good feel for it. What do you think? I thought clay was the dude who is unfazed by everything little surprised by. But I I don't think there's any question the contract year is playing a part. Nothing else. He's trying to prove he deserves it. I mean, he's doing out there looking for thirty points. He's out there like taking off the dribble it crossovers fadeaway. Claire thought you thought you were kind of. But I think there's a part of play that wants to show he could be the man, and he's he's taking shots like he's the bed as the we're we're play like this. It's a little unique. And then he's like ordinary about it like hookah who questioned me about shooting like Larry Bird, Reggie filler. Maybe my coach Steve Kerr the rest of you shut up. You don't know anything about shoot. Maybe Gary could question about probably. Yeah. I probably well compared to you and Larry. Yes. But you still there. Hey, I'd love to see that. By the way, we get Klay on you just start lecturing him on shooting. I don't know. It'd be electorate being intellectual discussion of two shooters for me. I like to see come out of my hand. Yeah. I just love that to me into mardi Lurie. But I'm on fall for it. You know, what I'm curious about though, on on clay, Andrey mine, and this is just for sake of sports talk. This'll be the first year what the warriors get what to all-stars if you had to bet. And that's it. Oh, yeah. I think that's it. Yeah. I mean, what what's it gonna take for the other half the average forty four like January or something? Draymond real. Well, that's that's my thing. Watching from a distance. If people are ignoring you, and you're an all star, you're an Olympian, and they're saying go ahead and shoot that would kinda burn my confidence. Is there some validity to that? No question. I think I think it's yard. I'm a little bit. Like there was a part where even very mild with like, I gotta I gotta get my competence back and who'd ever magin during my struggle with competence. But. I think it's still get to him. But he's trying to psych itself out to just take the shot. Great minds. Holy life is setting up situations. So he gets all crashed to you. So he's like this weird situation where people were kinda trolling him. But you know, he just wants to like have that rebuttal which is why every shot he makes he does that bits and screams out of those will become guard. But I do I do. Mark. Is he happy? This is sounds like kind of a pollyannish deal. Is he happy playing on the warriors now or do you think he looks? And he goes, hey, you know, they wouldn't be leave me unguarded if I was number one or number two on another team. Who? Yes, he happy here. I don't know if he's happy. I think they all are filling a t to a certain extent, I do think there's some like medicines been a long ride is not like it used to be remember it was so much fun about now. It's laborious. So I do think they need the playoffs to get that vibe back. I don't think he's right mind, speak, man. If I was number one number two, I'd be bad. I think he does he's got to work on his shot at work on his game. It if he did leave I think he'd want to go to a place where he doesn't have to be number one or two we can play some defense. It'd be like a X-factor office a playmaker. You don't get a max deal, though, if you're not number one or two I'll do I think back deals kinda been off the table for a while. Okay. So he's settled in there. All right arm, recast Omri Caspian Garrett temple brawling after the grizzlies game. The other day is armory Caspi a tough guy. It seems like he's every time. I'm. Reading about different situations different teams. He's been on. It always seems like it leads to fisticuffs. Is he likes a or what's what's or is? He talked too much or what's the deal by Caspi? As the caffeine. Right. I mean every time I've talked to he's been a little blunt straight board. It will say say what he I don't know if he's knocking out in practice. Right. Right. Right. Like, Tony Allen. But he's not exactly docile, and you know. I think there are some elements about county that you know, if you're not if you're not balling, it makes your teeth sit out Jill. Right. Like, this type of the meters are reserved for people who are putting their work. Beverly see he's not he's not like the quiet soft guy. Like, I don't think he's afraid to mix it up. Hey, you know, Bill Duffy is a good buddy of mine out in walnut creek. And obviously he reps. Pat McCaw eventually, I'll get build a spit it out. And tell me exactly what the deal was. But I mean, is it simply that you think McCaw just one more PT you just one more time on the floor. And I just I don't I don't under-. I mean, I guess I understand I understand the guy wants to play. I understand that. But I I'm surprised that he wasn't Niro more patients with his we, you know, with his, you know, career and kind of force this whole thing to Cleveland. It's like, hey, are you the winner you woke up and now, you're you know, you're in Cleveland. I mean to be honest. I think there's something else going on what it is. But. He could get twenty five minutes with the warriors. Like if he was playing, well, he's as good as he thinks. He's what they need. They're running the all-star ground. They don't wait quick. He and they come after me. They could use them. I don't know. How he does. It look at the St. say he gets forty five minutes. To McKinney walked on off the street and got minutes. So I'm trying to figure out where did you get more than that? Because he envisions himself as a starter. That's all. So he goes to Cleveland would like to guards that they've drag like, I don't. I don't know. I don't know. I just don't get it. I don't understand I need to hear from him. I wanna hear his explanation because it just doesn't add up. I don't I don't know. How I don't know what kind of rubric he was working with it. He he clearly wants to play any clearly wanted to be a situation where he was I would say probably appreciate it. It's never just about the minute. It's about feeling right? It's there's some feeling that were that. That's the only reason why you like, yeah. You guys. If that's not the Steelers thirty he was like, Nah, I don't wanna play with. So something happened. There's something else there. I think for fun. I got in front of me has first game last night played eighteen minutes. Two points, no rebounds, one assist lost to Miami. And I don't know if you believe in plus minus he was. What the hell was he on plus my he was minus eight so not a great start anyone. I mean, he could have done that with the warriors. I don't think it's as simple as he looks up. You got clay, and you got curry and they're not going anywhere. And I don't wanna come off the bench. It's it's not that. Not that this year. Like he would have he could have been free next year. He could've came and play. You wanna play in the playoffs. You want people to see you on that stage. That's how you get the contract. That's how you get other teams to come sign. You no matter what was going to have. There's no situation in this league in two thousand eighteen nineteen we're packing recalls. The starter not one you pick the worst team in the league. He's not starting. So where where was the situation that it wasn't? It wasn't going to manifest yet. His best bet was forward to happen in a year or two and the way you do that is to play in the playoffs and show everybody you can ball you've never manifest on this program. You know, he played well in the finals though, and that opened people's eyes a couple years ago. Hey, I'm reading all these rumors. The trade deadline coming up in February Kaminski's being shot by Charlotte. And you know, Bob Myers has never made a trade at the trade deadline since he's been the the warriors general manager. He hasn't needed to. But. Do you think he's gonna that streaks can remain intact?.
