"I haven't watched it yet to be fully honest. And with Jerry Jarrett, I saw the highlights on social and very compelling. I'll make sure I get you a link. I think you're going to dig it. It's going to be a two parter. But I don't think enough people really understand the historical significance for Memphis as a territory and more specifically Jerry Jerry as a promoter. You look at all the folks who went through his territory, and they include a who's who? Yes, Ric Flair was there defending his world title against Jerry Lawler. Yes, Andre, the giant was there, but let's talk about early beginnings. He shot the first vignette of Hulk Hogan in 1979, 1979. They call him the hulk. That's in 79. It happened in Jared's basement, but also the creation of Kamala. How about The Rock cut his teeth in Memphis? Of course, Stone Cold Steve Austin worked for Jerry Jerry. What about the macho man? I mean, you could even go back to sting and The Ultimate Warrior, just one after another, it's all the legends of professional wrestling at one point or another came through his territory, and we got to pick his brain in a special sit down interview conversations with Conrad, that's exclusively an ad free shows dot com. Yes, what I've seen, the little sniffs seen to really be entertaining. So if you're a historical person. The history of wrestling and the traditions and which I love quite frankly, it's kind of what our show here's based on. Nostalgia, and going back in time and reflecting on how I was in that. Grilling with JR, it should.

I mean travel trailers. no pain. It's it's a touchy subject outsmart. I mean who excellent reference political strife at home and abroad. And we're starting travel-trailers right now which i mean. "Okay interesting question from Kevin W he goes being elapsed fan who's now returning to pro wrestling. I wasn't and this is a long stretch time. I wasn't really watching watching closely when T._a._N._F.. was on the rise however this surge of a w to the number two spot in North America in such a short time it's been fun and that's what brought me back was T._N._A.'s birth as buzz worthy and did it feel like it had at the time the potential that eighty w has now just curious what your opinion is on this. I don't really have a feeling they compare it to live through. Put things we keep up the amazing work greg. What do you think about that? I mean the obvious answer is no but for someone who didn't live through T._N._A.. How do you describe the excitement at that time time that there was this Jerry Jarrett guy who was in contention to buy W._C._W.? Legacy promoted the father of Jeff Jarrett Vince Russo who was a big time writer for W._W._e.. Me N W._C._W.. Involved and they brought in some names. Ken Shamrock was a big name at that point fresh off of U._S._C. and W._W._e.. Ron The truth killings was the Central Star Dr. Nobody who agent styles was yet but he was a big scout are big acquisition after Jerry Jarrett Scout with bill barons and and then they had Jeff Jarrett so so just compare the buzz because I think it's two different worlds but I'm curious for your description of it. I think the buzz more for a he w if only because we've gone so long without competition for W._W._e.. That many fans don't even know what that looks like and because w because T._N._A.. Opened opened up so soon after W._C._W.. Went under there was not a long enough period of time for people to appreciate how much how important competition is right so I think that's a point in aid w savor the other thing was you know A._W._S.. Going on T._N._T.. <hes> weekly T._N._A.. had a whole different idea of how to run their business. which was The massively disappointed and Jarallah is pointing that out in his email that Kinda got in the way of summer slam the momentum of summer slam hype and now they're kind and having to rush some things and it does feel like there's not a lot of time to pay off. The Roman reigns mystery not a lot of time to pay off whatever's going on Ziegler not a lot of time to pay off or to get have seth make a comeback back from whatever happened to get people super excited about Trish Charlotte. Do you get the sense that it'd be better to have one and I get why they did what they did when they did it with our union going into the conference call. It's nice to have a big pop in a row rating as sort of a shield against criticism that you've lost it in the castle is crumbling but I'd like to have an extra week for hype for Summer Slam right. Now I think two weeks if they had two weeks four weeks they'd be better off than just one right and we'll we'll have <hes> we'll have to look and see what <hes> what they've got in store or and sometimes sometimes we think that and when they do get ed <hes> opportunities we've seen in the past where they've had almost two months a month and a half in between pay per views. They really don't know what to do with all that time and and what they do come up with this is not any better so <hes> time does not necessarily equal better storytelling for W._W._e.. <hes> but I think most of the problem album lies with the fact that these matches just aren't all that interesting get we've seen brock listeners seth rollins before and I made the case that it should have been left behind it. WRESTLEMAINIA <hes> <hes> Becky Lynn Italian. We've seen before Kofi Kingston and Randy Orton. It's Kinda new but they're too pretty well established wrestler so I mean we've we've seen it before. They both had lengthy W._W.. Careers they've run into each other. They play video packages that show how often they run into each other in the past Kevin Owens and Shane McMahon..

I don't make Asian recharge batteries. But just because I am recharging the batteries. We still got business. Take care of. In the meantime, we'll be playing some of the most requested Steve outs and show classics and been locked away in the archives. I got a great one for you this week. And here's my producer shown to tell you all about it readings and welcome to classic episode of the Steve Austin show producer, Sean bringing you episode number one forty one with superstar Bill Dundee original air date. August twelfth two thousand fourteen Steve's got a lot of classic. Memphis wrestling personalities in his catalog, and I think it's definitely important to revisit that territory and bring those out here on the classic episodes because it's isn't really cool stuff that Steve hawks about with these guests. So you might be hearing some more of those as we go along. But for this week its superstar Bill Dundee wrestler that was very instrumental in Steve's development in the. Texas and Tennessee. Territories working under Jerry Jarrett and world class and US w way. Bill Dundee a big start his own right in that area. Having many epic battles with Jerry Lawler either across the ring or as a tag team, which will talk about just a second here. But you've got to catch up with Bill Dundee here on this episode. Get some of our presence in the late eighties in the territory as well as a manager in does w in one thousand nine hundred three for Lord William regal. He was known as Sir William back, then but Steve definitely talks about as epic feud with Jerry Lawler Bill Dundee was also in a scaffold match. Not found thing was the first Catholic match, but it was definitely one of the earliest scaffold matches that happened against none. Other than cocoa, beware. Or as he was known as KoKo ware. Also, see talks with Bill about the to below concession stand brawl as mentioned Bill and Jerry Lawler are often adversaries, but also tag team partners. And in this, particular instance, the duo took on the blonde bombers Larry late them and Wayne fair. Better known as Moondog spot and the honky tonk man in epic event known as he Tupelo concession stand brawl, and this was nine hundred seventy nine and if you could find footage of it on YouTube, which is out there. It's quite the event commentated on by the legendary Lance Russell, and a lot of people say that it was kind of one of those small events that set the course for EC w at hardcore wrestling, as we know it today just crazy brawling all throughout the concession stand. And there is tables and stools and mustard being thrown everywhere. So she check that out Bill Dundee awesome wrestler, and he is the guest today on a classic episode of the Steve Austin show today Steve.

"Jackie fargo. He told me so many things, and then don't don't think just went out there and didn't ever make mistakes and didn't ever say the wrong thing because I did. But fortunately, Jackie Fargo when I came back to the to the dressing room. He would pull me the side. I'll never forget one time. I said something about him being old and literally when I walked back into the when when I walked back into that dressing room. He literally grabbed me by my shirt and pull me over just we're just he and I could talk, and he said let me tell you some punk. He said you went out there and call me an old, man. He said how's that gonna make you look when an old man whip your ass Monday night. Right. And I you know, I never I never forgot things like that. And I and it just you know, it made me you could you could always you could always make fun of your opponent. But you didn't ever put them down to a point where you know? Because I mean, you always wanted to make your opponent seemed like, hey, they were they were they were the. Dist thing ever. So that if you beat them, you really beat somebody, or if they beat you you were beat by somebody, you know, you didn't want to and a lot of guys never really a lot of guys never really grasped that that that way of thinking on their promos. But yeah, Jackie Fargo would he would he would guide me along to through things like that. And then it just, you know, you're right about telling stories a lot of guys will just go out there and talk about themselves. And and, you know, that's that's okay. But you got to you got to you've got to tell a story. That's what the people want. They want. They want you to explain what what is going on. And why you feel the way you do about who you're about to wrestle, you know. And and the other thing too was that the Jackie Fargo would always tell me was to try to make it personal. Right. I mean, and and and that, you know, Jerry Jarrett, and I when we used to when we used to book the territory, he had a big sign hanging in his office to said personal issues draw money that made on assigning. Hanging up in his office. So that when we were doing the book, and you always try to remember things like that. And it and it just doesn't take so much. I mean, if if the one the one thing that got me, and I never thought I never thought that I would have you know, I went so long. I never thought that I would get to wrestle at wrestlemainia. Right. But Finally, I had that match. And then thank you. You know, I don't know if I ever really got to say thank you for for green to referee that match because that really made that match seem so much more important than it was. But, but the the reason that I got to have a matching wrestlemainia against Michael Cole of all people was because we had a personal issue. Mom had passed away. And and and Michael said some still to this day, I have to defend him. He'd never said one derogatory thing about my mom. They'd never they never went out there and said anything that I that I had a problem with. But just because of the fact that they talked about my mom, and it was. That sensitive that close to her passing away. It made it personal and everybody out there could relate to that. They could say men, I know how I would feel if somebody said something about my mom after she passed away. And that was that was a personal issue. And it led into Michael colon. I get a match wrestlemainia because the people got into it and people get into personal issues. And and that's what you know. I always tried to make my promos into into something more than just a match. I try to make it personal. On the microphone other than like, I said, I I've got you as you know, a great promo..

"And most time I never wrote double digits, you know, every now and then getting a triple digits, and, you know, dude, when you're making fifteen and twenty dollars a night, and you know, the road schedule, you know, the mouse, it gets pretty tough, and there there was a time and. I always like to say that was when Jerry Jarrett was making the payoff Jerry boys made fail like. And and and you know, to to be fair to Jerry, he came up on, you know, he came up under the tutelage of nNcholas who was the original promoter in the Tennessee territory. Nncholas was infamous in the wrestling business for being just being the worst payoff guy in history. You know, I mean, he would bring four guys up from Mexico and just you know, they would they would want to leave. But then, you know, he keep them. So both that they couldn't leave. So it was just it was just that's what influence Jerry like you said that went on through, you know, for a long time, the Tennessee territory had had a bad rep for being a not a place where you're gonna make a lot of money. You know, you'd be lucky like you said in those days, those payoffs barely cover your gas and expenses to and from the town. You're almost wrestling for nothing. Basically, it was if it hadn't been for Dutch and Christianity champion riding with me. They're putting gas in the car, I'll simply putting miles of my car. And of course, I was getting the education of talking wrestling to the show and back, but you know, health things are pretty tough. I remember on my return trip. I they brought me back into Tennessee territory and Jerry Jarrett put me on a hundred dollar night guarantee. I thought I had hit the big time. I hadn't been in the business too long. And then, you know, things are going along pretty good. And I was working about five six days a week. So I'll still never never hit that thousand dollar. Mark one time we were there in Evansville, Indiana, got two paychecks. And oh, you know, normally I should see a row of one hundreds for that hundred dollar guarantee, and I did not. And I said, oh, man. So I gotta talk to the man. So as Jiri just want to talk to you about this paycheck, man, I thought we had a deal here and Jerry Laghman straighten ad. He told me the way it was. And I was young cat and a business. He goes Steve. Territories now, you goes I understand, you know, we had an agreement. But if you've got. To go down the road. I understand web rows between a rock and hard place. Jerry. I'm trying to learn the damn business. You know? But we had a guarantee I'm at my first, you know, major financial crisis with the promoter, owner of the territory. Sure. So man, just you know at the blink of an asset. And that's cool, Jerry. I said, no, I said, I wanna keep working, you know, maybe when the territory gets better, you know, we can go back to our Mason. That's cool. Steve. So you know, I kept my job. But it was one of those split decisions. It had to be made. And you know, we all go through that. But that was one of the crucial. Thanks. I learned a lot working in that territory. And a lot learned a lot working with you. But when you were talking about Nick Gulu, kind of you know, schooling, Jerry Jarrett as far as you know, he was the first guy in Tennessee there with that territory and being so notoriously cheap with his payoffs. Did you ever get a chance to work for Paul Bosch who was known for a very good payoffs? Well, you know what Paul box? I I've worked at a couple of shows for Paul Bosch with. I mean, I think with Gino against Gino Hernandez until he Blanchard in some in some matches there. But I didn't really get to know. He's really really nice guy. But I wouldn't I probably only work maybe three or four shows for him. Would you think about Gino back in the day when you're working with him at a young age? Oh my gosh. He's he was a great a great young talent. I mean, he had telly Blanchard together. What what I can remember that being I thinking at that time..

"Well, you know, it's weird as much as open as I am about wrestling in my left resume. I usually I stay away from telling the exact dissection of how pro wrestling works because I have bits. I like to say I work in a comic because sometimes I see myself more as a stand up comedian. And then I do as a wrestler sometimes, and I have bits. I've jokes. I tell and, you know, sometimes I maybe I'll say say that the guy. Hey, four or five six seven. Here's some of my bits when I feel that I'm gonna let you know when we get to this bid, and you'll know that will go into it. And then we'll go into and then we'll die down a little bit. And that's how I work. Okay show. They're not gonna dig that. So you're working as baby face and pro wrestling, you know, hill traditionally calls a match when I was running hot as cold baby face but very ruthless baby face. But none what nonetheless a baby face because I don't hear very well. I call on my matches is that how that started. Yeah. I just don't know. Yeah. Basically, and that was just about to say what like Joe knocking on you. You can make this crowd laugh go for. So you Joe blow work, and he's he'll your baby you got fifteen years experience who's calling a match at least say that. I am. I'm on the general for sure I'm taking. Okay. So then you go onto match with. Kill stain kill who's called a match. We have mutual respect for each other mutual respect. Yeah. Duties, yeah. It just we can talk to each other. Okay. It's not a problem. And but I know I understand because of my love wrestling, and I know the traditions of it's easier for the he'll to call the whole match, and I've been taught the reasons why. And the reasons why how would show maturing some or not? And it's just basically my approach. Anytime you go on ring was, you know, if you go into territory a lot of guys, you know, want to go out there and work like ninety ten eighty twenty seventy thirty type thing as far as taking rather than giving because aimless get over. But once you get into ring, and if it's just a show or a cold match, or it is what it is my approach going into ring was unselfish. I am an air to have a good match if you and me or working popcorn match or the main of it my approach with you is let's go have a good match. Bottom line is my approach to the business to ring psychology was entertaining, the fans, the mashes I and your me, you know, that was what it was. I went into dance and entertain the people more so than worrying about getting on my skin. And I was like that at the beginning. I think maybe were you like that at the beginning. I remember when I went to from Dallas to Tennessee, and I'd only been in business, two months and Jerry Jarrett said I was ready. So I drove down there. And I remember we're gonna spot show and Dutchman was booking new said, hey, man, just go out there and give his eight or ten minutes, and I was working with the Gada hood and medicine are thinking to myself eight or ten minutes. What am I going to do an eight or ten minutes? That's a long time was longtime when you're green. Once you get a couple of years under your belt. And then finally, you need twenty thirty forty, but you know, back in the day. I was just about being mechanical learning the basic psychology baby face. Shine little bit. He'll cut him off cheat beat him up a little bit that babyfaced comes back a little bit couple of hope spots more. He finally the mandate comeback. And then he the baby-faced goes over with his Finnish, maybe slips on a banana peel on the hill beats him that she finished..

"It's noon eastern on ESPN two Louisville is the top seed in the Albany regional they take on Robert Morris at games also live on the ESPN app. So you can watch at work or anywhere. You may be as we go who are the players in this tournament. You don't. Ready? No that you should. And that you will Jane. We'll we'll give you the best of the best who aren't on Duke coming up next. And that brings us to a little sneaky, hembo time. Jalen, okay. Owners the NCAA tournament scoring record for a freshman meaning the entire tournament not a single game tournament scoring record for a freshman. That's the question the answers next. You're watching get up on ESPN. Here's a quick look ahead at what's coming up in the tournament today. Tennessee will take on Colgate. A two versus fifteen the volunteers of twenty turnament wins in school history. Third most by team that's never made the final four, by the way. I have them in the final four this year. No big deal. Three number one seeds are inaction Virginia looking at bounce back from losing, of course in the first one last year. Cavaliers have a thirty one percent chance to win the title. According to beat that is the best in the field, North Carolina. My champion. No big deal egging its fiftieth tournament appearance second most behind Kentucky. They play I ONA ROY Williams twenty eight in the opening round most wins without a loss in history. And the number one overall seed is Duke, they take on North Dakota state. They've won twelve straight with a healthy. I Williamson excluding the game. He got hurt. My sheet is fifteen in one after one day. No big deal. Okay. Back this Niki, hembo time Jalen which player owns the NCAA tournament scoring record for a freshman. It's the. Whole tournament and not a single game. Not many players signed a letter of intent go to a school and is a one and done and win the championship. Bingo into the lottery. The is Carmelo Anthony. It was too obvious. He's third. The answer is. Who had four more points than Carmelo Anthony? And by the way, your old teammate, Chris Webber is seven on the list, Laura. We knew that him John ear, then that okay? Jay will. We know all about do we know about Zion. Our job Eric came reddish. But how about five players to watch in the tournament. Couple of them have already played some of them haven't we should know. They're not on do just for everybody out there. These are five players not onto that we need to pay attention to. Yes, let's talk about number five. Let's go out to Iowa State team. That won the big twelve Rick big twelve conference term, it Lindo Wigan to know. Look he's been averaging seventeen points per game. He shoots forty percents of the three point line. He's a dynamic scores. Kind of like what Jason Terry used to be off the bench. They can score that many buckets seventeen a game. He's legal jump shooter. And he's great in isolation. I like him too because he was injured labs and for part of this season. He didn't have the seasoning one at last year. He stepped up in a big way to. Yep. And their same region with. North carolina. I mean that could be a consensual potential class that can be really good for the squad at Texas Tech. All right. Anything about team in Jerry Jarrett covert. He's going to be a lottery pick and NBA draft averaging nineteen six four best defensive team in the country. I think he has a seven foot wingspan. Okay. Good. Now, he can get to the rim whenever he wants. He has that kind of Jason Tatum like length when Jason Tatum will talk to Boston, Celtics. He's the big twelve player of the year. Now this team makes threes they could be a sleeper pick. They get to the final four in the same region with Gonzaga. There are a few people that I see picking them pretty consistently. Seth Greenberg our coach he picked it up. I bet you do how that number three about a player..

"But I was like that's one of the proudest moments finding that out. But also shows a lot where I came from Springer. I did watch it for his guests or the I watched for his his moment at the end is final thought. Well, I think that's why everybody really wants to because I just needed that taste of humanity. I needed to be brought back down not needed that wisdom and that touch of humanity to get me through the. Yeah. So that's why tuned to to watch. Two women tear each other's clothes off over doofus, man. Yeah. And I hated that. Yeah. Hey, say, hey, let me fires. You idiot. Just went add just tuned into hear Jerry Jarrett, the chanting what it is. They would somebody would say you. You know you bitch. Didn't apply to who's Jimmy didn't say it was apropos nothing, and they would just start chanting, Jerry. Yeah. It's just so good thought that show have somehow learned within the first month to maybe nail the chairs to the ground. So that they weren't thrown at each other. You know, and like you can't go like I was always fascinated that people go on that show and be shocked when the the person that they were cheating on came out there. Like, what favorite was the whatever the reveal happened when they came out from backstage in down the ramp. The reason the ramp was in there was for a running start. On it would literally dive onto each other. There was no talk like we want to Jerry, Jerry up. Go out there and just start beating and it was on people. Never like got dressed. You like did you not have anything other than pajamas to where? Thank one. The cups of water. And you're like, I know what's about to happen. Throw my face. Yeah. A lot of people think that that was a setback for America. Out of those people are wrong. That's still. Yeah. My therapist. He has Jerry Springer. I think it was on the same time as prices, right? My sister. And I used to fight over the TV like, and she always says that I wanted to watch Jerry. But I was pretty sure she did. So we have a huge. I thought I liked presses. Right. I like the final showcase showdown 'cause I I still try to guess how much things without knowing. Yeah. Wrong when it land landrovers, not eighty seven dollars. I'm like this some bullshit because I'm pretty sure I saw for that much on prices, right? Can I just can I just put a hole in one or two to get this out to pay for it? Just see. Yeah. Hopefully that show gets put on FOX. All right. What else? So this one happened in Tennessee, a man was jailed on felony charges after he dipped his testicles into a container of salsa that a customer customer had ordered online. That's illegal now, you know up. He was. He took a video and said, this is what you get when you give an eighty nine cents tip for a thirty minute drive. And then post the video can doing it online. So that's how thirty minute drive. I don't get that deliveryman Mexican food and they only tip them eighty nine cents. So he stuck his testicles in their salsa before he delivered to them that was he know that they only. Tip in advance. I would have waited until like till the deals close. Maybe he showed up because if the door. And then when you come out the door, if they gave you a ten spot or twenty spot, you're like, okay. That's good. Yeah. But you gotta wait till the transactions totally complete before you can make that determination. Then you go back car you dip, your balls. Also. And you come back. I forgot I forgot there's you had an extra salsa about that. Yeah. And they go thanks to the free sauce, and they slam the door and your face laughing. But you're the one laughing you're the one you're the one gets. Yeah. Even though your testicles are burning from salsa. You have a thirty minute drive home with.

"Bows pair Blake says roaches committed a foul against base shooting up three basic fist is his now. Go to line the bowels of baba, well that will say four point play. I knew coach last night in the long words over the Baylor bears. We we've talked a bit about snoop. We'll get back to the mobile. We do have a special guest joining us on the line right now. Always have a shock introduces special guests, or I'm I'm I'm gonna let you introduce this because he's pretty special guy. We had we had a big last night, by the way. Yeah. Really thrilled to welcome one of my all time favorite players. I don't know if I'll ever get to coach another guy like this young man is having tremendous success in his second year in the NBA from the Brooklyn nets. Jared Allen great to have you Jared. Hey, tell us about obviously, you're in your second year. It's going really really well for you and your team you guys are right now just season ended. You guys would be in the play offs. Just tell us about the progression from being drafted rookie year. And now being in your second year. Being drafted. Along. Eventually got back to the. And we're rebuilding. And the close now. Putting all of that behind the board every day. What was the first thing when you got going with the nets in your rookie year that that struck you as this is a part of my game where I really want to be better at and by the same token looking at and say this is part of my game. I know why can compete on a night in night out basis. Even in your first year. It really out changing. And. Coming in. I'm really good. Are you sure are one of the things Jarrett that I always appreciated about you? And again, I don't know if I'll ever get to coach another guy exactly like this. But it's just your joy for learning. And how much you? Just wanted to learn more and put yourself all in when people were trying to teach you different things. Whether it was basketball or something off the court, how much do you feel like that's been a part of your ability to have so much success early in your careers. Your the way that you look at learning. If you're going in. The learning. And you're not going to get better. Hey, do you miss freshman orientation, man, is that is that something that you wish you go back to? I really my favorite part. Well, I'll tell you this. You know, we we've done freshman orientation with our coaching staff. I think this is the six year you were by far the best in terms of your approach towards it. Let's talk about Brooklyn, man. How do you like living up there? A lot different. So many more people. Now, Jared, I I've been told this you tell me if I'm wrong about this. Is it true here? You are NBA guy. Obviously, you're earning. A good living that you still do not own a car is that true. Brooklyn. Jerry, what tell us about some of the things that you do living up there. That's you've you've learned to enjoy being up in New York. Cold weather. Join restaurant. Do you have a specific cuisine? Because like you said there's so many different restaurants in the city. So many international types of food different things, you could try have you have you found one specific kind of food that you kind of gravitated to more than the others. Yeah. Ron. Still sound like a college student, Robin. That's one thing about you. He finds somebody likes and he he will stick with it. Hey, we know Texas fans know about your your interesting computers when you were a young kid, you actually put a computer together with the parts tell us what have you done recently with just your interest in computers, and technology. We know you're into video games. Tell us a little bit about that. Young kids. Doman technology. Do you still play video games? Jarrett almost on the daily. Hey, jerry. What thing that has come up a lot in the media is people making a big deal of NBA players playing video games and the amount of time that they some some guys put into that. Do you think around the league that there's some maybe that that that do it too much or do you think it's just a hobby and no big deal? Ball, then they wouldn't even think about. Well, I'll tell you when you bring that up. Jared. I want to tell a story about Jerry Jarrett. Obviously he signed with us. It was pretty late. It wasn't until June that he decided where he was going to go to college. And thankfully, chose us Texas, but Jarrett took some time in between the end of the kind of the all star game circuit in early to mid April and the start a summer school where he he didn't really do much with the basketball is that true coming into college. You you didn't you hadn't done much, right? Basketball. I knew that my life is busy. So one of the things that's been really fun is hearing from the guys that are part of the nets coaching staff in front office about your unbelievable work ethic. They said by far you led the team in the amount of work. You put in the facility this summer. So just talk about that progression for you in terms of the way that you look at working on your game and developing as a player. The first year. To be important new team would at my back. Every day. Anyway. My second year. Now, Jared one of those is in the shop blocking people are starting to keep tabs on all of this impressive collection of NBA stars. Lebron Tenenkou Paul when several of the other guys who shot you of actually block. Do you? Keep a tab of it. People like that. Making a play. See, greg. That's why he's so good. No doubt about tell you this. My favorite, you know, obviously, a blocking any of those guys is unbelievable. But the two blocks you had against Blake Griffin. And you don't have to respond to this. But I just I can I couldn't watch those enough times because you made him look like a little kid. And, you know, the, Texas though, you thing he's guy you're at Texas thousand lot of fun to watch man. Thank you. Well, we appreciate you taking the time. Congratulations on the great season, you're having and we're following you, obviously with great interest and excitement as well. Appreciate you. Join us and best luck the rest of this season. Thank you so much. Right. Jared allen. The outstanding Longhorn for two years ago in his two seasons in the NBA really making his Mark. He is it's not surprising at all. And you know, the interesting thing is when he was going through the draft process. There's a lot of teams that called and and they said, well does he really love basketball? And I said, yeah, yeah. He the guys competitor he loves to compete, but he's not one of those guys at twenty four hours a day is going to tell you that he's he's obsessed with that lasts. You know, whatever it was. But the reality is the guy in conference play in the big twelve average like eighteen and ten so there's something to be said for that. And again, I can't emphasize enough Craig how much his approach towards learning separates him in a positive way from ninety eight percent of players at any level. You know, he, you know, he talked about it with the blocks. Now, he's not really caught up in. Well, I did this or I did that he just wants to get better. He wants to learn any has this way of looking at figuring things out, which is really neat. No doubt about that. All right. We'll be back to take a look at the West Virginia mountaineers when we continue here. One week look at head coach Chaka smart from learfield. I love is in the air and Americans all over the country are falling in love.

As was runs the way. He does it, you know, and he was right on on right up there on on derby dozen. So I'm a figured they paid six hundred thousand foot of sorts Barrett. So, you know, the the horse impressed back then. So I I even from the I test just looking at him, and he's by El Prado mayor. So, you know, he certainly break to go on. So he could be any kind something at. Took a shot with into you know, gun metal grey. I put him in there because not so much for for racing the sham because I I'm not crazy about that final. I think the racial is a perfect set up for a minute came home in twenty seven in one. That's that's pretty that's pretty slick. Our no matter how you how you look at it. And it was said, and it was really it wasn't win Coliseum. Didn't run his race. At all really wasn't too much to be there. But I'm I went back to his second in the American Phero behind behind game-winner which I thought was good race. And again going back to the size. I mentioned before he's by exchange rate catering doesn't Sipe distance sources. No. But it's a strong female family. And he's got the right running style. So, and I know I know, you know, the barn has always been very high on ROY weight, and he finished ahead of him in the American Faeroe, and he didn't run badly into base juvenile. You know, he's way back early backed twelfth and finished, you know, pretty respectable sits in the race. And I think he's even though he think crawling sham. Really, you know. He he looked good. But Iraq number eleven. I'm not saying he's gonna win the Kentucky Derby, but I think he's done enough to merit being in the being in the top twelve. I won't argue row eight and by the way, I should mention I know is sideline for those. That are that heard that name and are wondering. Where where ROY waiting might be beside side being a prominent stop on the New Haven line. He's out till the middle of the year. It looks like. Yeah. Well, risk that much book to Dan ward us doing great. So. But you know, things happened overnight in this game. You never know. In Jerry Jarrett. The Halldor went when did you talk to toward about them? Let's week. Okay. Then maybe the maybe he's back faster than expected. Because I when when I asked Jerry that was before Christmas, though, I suppose so that the time. We've kept track. That's Michael Stinson, mcgreevy force and. They were very excited about but I- Jerry said before the end of the year that he was that he was going to have some time off. So all right. Good. So damn what days made great progress from two to three. And and they, you know, pretty high on them. So all right. I'll get an up I mentioned early and he brought him up interesting. Okay. Good. He when I was way to say that. So I don't know. I have no idea. I hope so I mean, I I'm because I you know, I thought that he'd had a couple of trip issues, and you know, had had. Yeah. I was there for the. I don't know. But you know, obviously, he's got kind of -bility. But you know, after the cop two, you know, the two Baffert awards, and I really don't know which I mean game winner is accomplished more than probable, but I got a sneaky suspicion that the. At the baffled bond might think that probably some more counted of to some visual standpoint stretch where he runs through the wire and gallops out. I mean, he could be it could be any kind. But you can't not you can't knock game winner..
