409: AI and creativity, climate change and Fortnite, and a Twitter bot that curates FOI requests.
Ross Goodwin took an AI on a trip from New York to New Orleans. Along the way the AI used inputs from a camera, a clock, a GPS, and a microphone to make "observations" and write about the trip. The book and project is called 1 the Road and it's inspired by beat generation author Jack Kerouac's famous book On the Road. ---------- Montreal artist Adam Basanta's All We'd Ever Need is One Another works by getting a computer to randomly generate abstract images. A second computer compares the work to a database of human art. If it finds a close match, it names the computer-generated work after the human art. Cue the lawsuit for copyright and trademark infringement. Jeremy de Beer, who specializes in law and innovation, weighs in on what a case like this could mean for the idea intellectual property. ---------- Fortnite, is the most popular streaming game in history. More people watch gamers play Fortnite on the Twitch streaming service than watch NFL football. That gave oceanographer Henri Drake an idea. He created "ClimateFortnite," in which he and other climate scientists play the game and also answer questions about climate change using the in-game chat. ---------- Could this trojan-horse style of education in a gaming environment be an effective way to teach and reach people? MIT qualitative sociologist T.L. Taylor, who has focused on internet and game studies for over two decades, explains the interrelations between culture and technology in online leisure environments. ---------- Laurent Bastien is a Canadian journalist who's doing researchers a favour. His Twitter account shares nothing but cryptic links to Freedom of Information requests. The point is to avoid doubling-up on information requests by creating access to requests that have already been processed but have not been publicly released by the government.

Say. Stop it. Stop it. Idea is. All you would treat me like a com- comment box. Tell us what you think about the show. People had a lot of things to say, they want more Mark. Mark, mark. They wanna kiss kiss until we're on it. They want a lot of different things Jeremy wrote this. And he said, I think it would be great. If you get the twins who played the baby and baby boom on the podcast. That's a great idea about this. How are you? Dear listener stuff, my boxes, you don't complain. When you do it. You know what I mean? I just found in the pass onto my box stuff. People have been complaining. Whether you do it all suggestions Kish Kish Kish my box. Fags e oh, you ha- someone wrote in about a contest, we should have. Right. And I thought it was great. What was it from the listener? Jared. I believe we met him at celebrity big brother, and he works on the show there. Yes. Yeah. He thought that we should have asked the ask have a contest has asked the listeners, did you impressions of each one of us trying to guess who it is? So Fags he tells me he goes what if we had a contest with the listeners did impressions of us. And I said, okay. Well, they well, you said what if we had to say I said, it should be a contest where they all come in we breath for the best one. So if you think you can do Nikki or C J or J rod or mart or Fags e or Ross record yourself doing it and Email it to me Ross at straight talk with Ross dot com and that whole contests I named it. What is it called Dumi? Do me. I love it. It's not about everyone. Do us. Do me. He's a great idea. I think it's really funny do me. And so what what are the Email? They go to raw Email Ross Ross dot com. Doing impression do me any song for a female Roz. Do me. Call me. Then I need to find my computer to talk for one second. Once is never oh, got it. Someone else said Ross white. It's been too long since you did. Again, ask him some question, then gets answered brain angered some answers to me. Okay. Elissa says dear Ross picking my brain derived, you've Couve early implied that you from short inane now over Pino grease show in the recent months is this true. If so can you walk us through your transitional, he's kid Eliza beautiful question. I used to prefer a peanut grief, yo hands down. And I, you know, your tastes change. He's not like asparagus. Now, do you know all the cauda used to gross me out? Not can't get enough. It is a healthy. And so a mind it is I I that your tastes change. And you have to just something is butter is a buttery Chardonnays answer that yourself. Ellen. And my C says Rawson crow and pick your brain. I was excited when you said you wanted to go back to taking the questions I wanted to send mine in along with hopes that you could help out. Here's a story. I recently started seeing this guy we've got a couple dates and the other day after dinner we went back to my apartment and hooked up. I kind of expected this to hook up to happen when we plan the date and all week leading up to it every time I thought about the idea of hooking up with him. I was really into it and excited by it. But when the day actually came we got things going. Feel it. It was like my Bonnie all week leading up to this was. Yes. Plead in the second touched me. It was like, I'm good. So I faked it and told him I was really tired afterwards. The guys Hooper sweet and really into me. So I don't want to hurt him. Because this may be just a one time thing is is there. Just no chemistry. Any tips are living him down gently. I hope Mr. talk fam- can help Kish Kish L in NYC. And so here's what I think you can't square peg round hole relationships. Right. You the feel it or you don't someone can be the kind nicest person ever. But if you don't feel good when they touch you. That's a big big thing. You got to feel that. I mean because trust me it goes away after a while. Anyway, most of the time so you got to let you have to feel at least in the beginning. What do you think the electric city, isn't there from the get-go? Now, I do think love can grow, but chemistry. I don't think. Really can. That's just my opinion. You don't have to come after me about it. But I don't think chemistry grow. I agree. But I feel like we rationalize a lot of it. Because we all wanna be in love. I feel like a lot of us go. Well, maybe it'll get better. But maybe I'm going to second date. Maybe I'm just funky me feeling it. You know what I mean make excuses? So listen to your life. Sex is part of it. There's one more. Do you want? Again. Or should I end it? Raining. To me. This is a weird beginning. Mommy, dearest Ross. Okay. I just. I just found out that Saturday February third is national tater tot day. I heard the word in how you celebrate. Celebrate with. Cheater. Chater Chidi Chen. I mean each eater. You're going to rotator talk about three days where them Joe's. And I put my dogs medicine in them. So I'll bake like a bunch of them and put them in a little ziplock and French ones at the medicine. Every once in a while be like wake up in the middle of the night. I'll be like I wanna buck in tater tots. And then I go back to sleep taco time is an answer to in Washington state. I don't know other states that have a taco time hot hot fish anytime. Stockham time. Okay. Okay. Mexi dry, which is a deep fry tater tot with like a chili powder seasoning situation on it. And it is a delight hot hot fresh fresh anytime to talk. That is this on not bad catchy thinks. The thing that I teased about why the room, smells like food a little bit the answers coming up because. Okay. One of our brains. Got messed with. The theme of the show is progress progress taking care of yourself trying to become better. One of our brains got fucked with who's putting it together. I kind of the answer. When we. I'm nervous to ask you all this. But I'm just going to do it. I'm just going to be brave. I'm going to ask the tough questions here. Thank you. Mark. Have you heard? Heard about the word. I made you'll see now I'm I spent my childhood jingles for talk Otani earned extra money for college. Day. Enough talking. Dad was. Yeah. Okay. That that sounds a little often in my ear. But like that reminded me of like a big like I could see the Criag Rafidah that that was like a big production number. Let's time for Email of the week. The. If you Email me Ross straight talk with Russ. Com could be reading your Email on the air. This comes from a listener named Lucas says about seventeen years ago, I died, and then I had a whole experience that changed my life. I got into every religion and culture that I could which led me to a spiritual path. I'm still currently on I read tarot cards since that time seventeen years ago along with having some clairvoyant experiences, I became certified in different healing modalities such as crystal therapy, color therapy, Reichen, and, aromatherapy, and most recently, I have become a certified hypnotherapist. Zing in pass live and stole connections. Hypnotherapist? I welcome any questions concerns. You have about what I may do. I can even fill you in on my background if you'd like and Lucas offered to help us with Jay rods. Upside I know this listers he's contacted me before. So so if you don't listen brand new Jay rod can't he eats like a boiled, chicken or pizza? That's he won't have any sauces. We tried to have him barbecue ranch. And he's he won't do it. So we've been trying to hypnotize I put Mark in charge of finding a hypnotist year and a half ago. Nothing's happened. So finally, Lucas reached out Lucas is on the phone Lucas. Are you there? Lucas welcome to the program hypnotists Lucas. I feel like Marcus talking because suddenly I'm getting very sleepy. Lucas welcome to the show. Lucas. Dyak? Yeah. Okay. Lucas hypnotise music playing. I actually went through in downloaded this just for you. But before we get to it. I want to talk to you about your experience lot to break through here. Lots of sort out. So the Email you sent to a CJ. Did you hear that first line about seventeen years ago? Lucas, right. He says, I I'd. Died. Lucas please Philip brother in. Of course. Well, first of all I have been juvenile diabetic since I was ten years old. Okay. I'm currently thirty three. So I've had it for quite a while. But when I was fifteen I got a flu shot at school that was recommended for me to have because of my weakened immune system from the diabetes and throughout the day. And later that night, I became severely dehydrated, and my blood sugars were crazy out of control. And I ended up going to the emergency room. And I I. So your heart stopped beating it. Yeah. Okay. How long like thirty seconds. Okay. The question. It was a brief brief thing. But yeah. So here's the question that everyone wants to know, it's the question. I ask anyone who had a death experience. Got to see the afterlife, perhaps sausa- Ming. Lucas lucas. Let me ask you the question though. It's what everybody's thinking. So I'm gonna ask it. Did you get to meet blanche? To soak. Already. One shot of. Please focus continue. What did you see? What did you experience the first? Let me say Jo- joking aside. I'm so happier. Safe in your ear, and you're healthy now, so happy, but please. You're welcome. No tells what was that experience. What do you remember from it? From what I remember of it, the first the first thing, I remember is actually being up above. It was like up of the icy room that I was in. But I was like I couldn't even you couldn't even tell that you are in a room. You're just there. Float up, right? Yeah. Yeah. I was like basically, I didn't even like feel myself float up. I just it was like, I blinked. And when I opened my eyes I was up. Please continue. Yeah. So what I did notice about where I was at. It was like this bright white hazy. Color all around like I was completely surrounded by it everywhere that I looked. Got it about her. Story. Okay. So you saw this light. Yeah. I saw the light. And then I could feel that there was what essentially was another light like behind me and kept trying. It was like it was transforming from like these sick bars of light into the figure, and it was shifting back and forth from there. So I remember looking at it. And as soon as I basically connected with it everything that I had wondered about about where I was and what was going on. I just I was at comfort and peace. With figure light. And then you are peace. What do you think? That was what do you think that image or light? Or what do you think? That was. I think I was given. I was connecting with source. God, whatever you call it. But. And I was just I was just given the opportunity to know. Like the feeling of fluff and comfort. Okay. So let me ask you this question. And what do you think? Happy because you came back. Right. You came back to this place. Yeah. Well, I do I do know that within my connection that. I I was firmly told that I was it was not my time yet that there were things here that I still had to do for myself and for others, and this is so stupid. But really was it told to like you felt it you did they speak English to you like what did you? I mean, it was it started as a feeling in the more that I could feel the words. We're just coming. Okay. So let me ask you this question, then because you got to the precipice precipice. You got to edge of the cliff, right? Yeah. Yeah. And then you came back. What do you think is beyond that light? And that image that you saw what do you think awaits us? I think that there is actually a few different things that go on all depends on where your soul is like where where you're chew self is Glendale right now. I only say that because you know, some of some some people, you know, they say do believe in reincarnation and come back multiple. Carnation? You specially. Okay. So then that's what we're gonna get to. Personally had three past life experiences. Okay. So after this this near death, that's near death experience. Right. You you come back to earth you wake all my God. I just experience that right? And then you feel like you were you were blessed. Then with these gifts these gifts, you had that you didn't know you had until that moment. Those were were guests that I had. Okay. I didn't know let's walk to your gifts. What are you capable of doing? What what what gifts? Do you have? Well, I I am a Rakia practitioner doesn't a-hole. What is that? It's healing like. Geez feeling. Okay. The great reiki raking. I can read energies, I feel things within people. Okay. That I have channels messages from like angels and. Okay. That's that's pretty much every once in a while when I do a reading are healing with someone. They might have loved ones that come in. And give me a message to give to them small small little things like that. Okay. So you are very clairvoyant your empathic, right? You have all of this. And so then you decide that you want to get into hypnotism hypnotism. It's crazy thing. We've all seen it on TV or on a cruise ones in a big amphitheater where they could hypnotize someone audience do crazy things. Right. We've seen that. But hypnotism has really helped a lot of people own Mark opened up about he was a chewing tobacco addict. We didn't know about this. And he had to go to hypnotism and it helped him quit two sessions. And then he had a. Allegedly maybe a relapse at some point. And then went back for a tune-up, and it really helped and he's now been tobacco free for long. So every time that you go through either hypnosis or deep form of like trance type meditation. It it it it becomes a stronger effect on new each time. I have a question serious serious question. Now, if you if do you think with your hypnotism, you could help Mark find the slide. You know, anything's possible. Right. So we've got to take your skills hypnotists. You reached out to me with hopes of helping our dear j rod j rod is here. J Reid is as I talked about this earlier young nice young man who I saw I went to dinner with him. Once he ordered just chicken fingers and didn't dip them in anything. And I went ballistic, and I asked him he said, I have never any sauces. I don't dip anything. I don't do anything. I don't like what are you? What do you eat? What you consist of tyrod chicken fingers pizza fries? That's pretty much. What do you Dipa frying nothing? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. What if you get to see him until you get a chicken sandwich? You get on it chicken. What if you get a hamburger hamburger? I don't eat hamburgers. What if you get a hot dog asked me, very very burnt? And then what he put on it. Nothing. You just burn hotdog and bun. Yes. What what are some things? You would never eat. Never. Yeah. What what what really freaks you out any type of sauce? Anything that looks like it has flavor. Yeah. I I'm thirty one thirty one he was at the bubbly brunch. Recently, he ordered like a boiled chicken breast or wouldn't even grill marks on. And he was he said, no salt, no pepper nothing. And he was thrilled. New magin? So he will not do it. So we've tried to get we've dipped in and Lucas, you're listening to the program. Right. Yes. So you've heard when we try to get him to to try a sauce or something freaks them out. And you must be I could help him right? Yes. Yeah. Exactly. Why reached out? So thank you for doing. So I connected. The two of them. Jay rod was down. If you're comfortable do this. Would you be willing to do this j road? Where did you say, I said absolutely out of you? He said abso Lutely. So they get together. And they recorded the session. The auto is not great. But let me here. This is not let me just play a little bit. This is. So you you're on Skype sexual session, right? Yeah. Yeah. Okay. And here's a little bit of what happens here, and then we'll get into it more by Judah here this as my computer decides to spend for second Kito my computer shit together. Blanche hunt together. Now, she's going to spend give me one second everybody. Just so I'm really I'm really part of you. Because I know when you have something that you're that freaked out by it runs deep. It does run D, but I think after years to humiliating like to go out to dinner with your friends and like have to order from the kids menu. Sometime, how do you feel? Watching it. Here you go. Here's a little bit of this. And explain it. I've just staring at my stuff. You all. You are scaring at your higher phone. Your show we won what the aunt? So he you get on. And you start asking him these questions, right? Like how you get Jay rod into a little bit of a trance. Well, it's it's usually starts with like an exercise to kind of make your eyes feel heavier. And then you connect with your breathing is whenever Mark talks, a minor really strong. Is actually very close doing that. So you start you do and j what do you think you sit down you nervous to be hypnotized moment? I'm in my head because I'm very cynical and at the same time like I don't want to like my thoughts. We're just going. Everyone knows just to relax my mind. And that's the point. Right. Isn't Lucas you sort of get him into a relaxed state. Yeah. Just so that the the your conscious mind can just step aside in this up conscious mind takes over subconscious mind. We all do you all do my mind is busy. I don't know that I have time to have as to what's the from the sea of a subconscious mind, and what mind couches conscious conscience to slow down function in everyday he had the conscious down. So walk me, through example, like how stop this music that's tacky. How how would you walk us through to all of our listeners? Like, how would you get us in the mood to slow? Our minds down. The first thing is like with connected with your breathing and the feeling of becoming tired so that you can relax bit more easier. So the easiest thing to do would be to just keep your head straight like looking straight ahead. But then look straight up with just your eyes to spot on the ceiling, and then you take a deep breath, and and every time that your eyes blink as you're breathing out or breathing. Then you just realize that man, my eyes are getting you know, they're starting to get heavier, and you do that a few times. And then once you feel that you can close your eyes comfortably you just close them. And then you you start to imagine actually. So here's the deal before audience closes. There is totally cut to the chase here. Little bit. Let's cut to the chase j rod you get him under hypnosis, right? Right. You got J rod under hypnosis Lucas. Yeah. J rod what did it feel like being under hypnosis kind of just happened? I didn't realize what had happened. But what happened? What did it feel like I just felt like I was dreaming and okay. So this is why in jail tells me he's like, oh my God. I found things out about my past lives, and we may have found the reason why I am scared of. Please tell us about your past life. What did you discover? Okay. So I just covered that a little bit like, okay. So I got back to a memory when I was a kid about my dad getting angry about the steak not being cooked the way he wanted to be cooked. Okay. So then Lucas goes. Okay. Well, I guess he was talking to my higher self. And he said, well is this fear come from this life? And I said, no MacOS it. So he asked to do with pass rush. And I said, yes. Long story short. I found out that I was a girl from Ireland who lived in eighteen seventy two I guess in the middle of the potato famine. Wondered why he has but not feminine products, very opened was feminine side. He'd been you're in touch with your feminine side. I am. Yeah. Yeah. So. The fact he could he told me that he could feel the feminine energy. Okay. So ready to things I pass life experience is that he was in the potato famine. Whether was no food. Religious nothing with no flavor. I also found it interesting. I thought about this fifteen minutes after I hang up Lucas put mashed potatoes were my favorite food as a child, and then I stopped liking you ask potato. I don't not anymore, but I used to would you eat them. If I forgot you mashed potato try gravy on it. Yeah. Look great. This is liquid me. Liquid me. Dream about a girl who's a mix of destiny on liquid dream model. What me okay. Good. So a little girl who etailers I'm just I'm just a girl. Let me be let me be take us back there. I wish name was Harry Carey Harriet Harriet did you wear a bonnet? I pictured her in a break Slough hairy the Irish girl who just -lica- tater all day. Right. But she can't. She ain't got no tater. No food, right? Right. Pank fast for today. Rods life. No, he's grown. He's a young man growing up in the east coast. Yes. And you like food until there's a moment when people your parents in front of you fight about what steak food J raw civically food equals. What to and your mind confrontation? Yes. Food equals a feeling of being unbalanced unsettled. Yes. Right. Yes. So you can control it by just eliminating food. Yes. Because the the steak was cooked the wrong way. So something was risky about the food safe food equals safe life. Look at you know, that's what you're that's what you're doing into by going there that regression took you to the source of it the source of it is if if the food's not right, mommy, and daddy will fight. Okay. And that's why you put a fence around safe food because that is your comfort zone because that's when you filthy this, right? Lucas sounds right? Yeah. It's it's pretty right? Do you feel? That's right. Right. Actually. Yeah. That makes sense because I don't understand why I would just turn away from food. And then when Lucas the audio, but I got really sad. I actually started crying. Get that far. You you probably couldn't here. But like you could ask I'm just really sad. Then listen my dad's angry at the stake. Okay. Feeling really sad right now. The one thing so sad of being so sad. Just a number that you are. You're just when observer of the marriage, and it you don't have any. Emotional attachment to them. I don't know why I got a wave said. Okay. So there's getting emotional one expect that did you not at all that actually took Lucas a little while to actually get me out of it because I was still in my feelings one. How do you feel Nick? I know you didn't expect that where it's like a fun little bit. We're trying to figure it out. But did you feel like you had some sort of breakthrough a little bit? Yeah. I found the stem of the problem. I think so too. I think we did Lucas do you think like with your experience with hypnotize people with issues it's best once you've had a session to jump right in and try something. Right. So if you were fear flying purge him to get on a plane, right? I mean. Yeah. That's the sensually. Yeah. Lucas. Yeah. I guess let's torture them. Yeah. That's sounds good. I win. Because essentially past life regression of healing, your soul to heal the mother fucking shit out of this soul. So here's the deal. I went to Donald and I got nuggets that's the smell twenty piece. I know America's fat because at twenty nuggets five dollars. I'm just saying that out loud. I couldn't believe it. I got to. Two of each sauces. I take them out here. I got to barbecues now, we've tried barbecues before pre breakthrough. I try I got two Honey mustards which we tried before. What was that pre everyone pre breakthrough? Sweet and sour Sarah's. We tried that before. But that was what? To ranches that before. But that was what? Jay rod. Yeah. I'm opening the beside not twenty comes to ten pieces. I'm giving you each sauce here one of each four sauces, and I'm handing this over to you. Do you have any words just like a quick sentence to support him before? He does this that might help. All remember the fan capital. Okay. Say that again, remember the was castle. What is that about? So Lucas had me basically, build a sandcastle with all with everything that's bringing me down or that. I have problems in my life, everything and it got washed away by the sea visa, just releasing everything. Just handed nugget with barbecue sauce. Okay. So remember you're saying castle? Good. I don't eat more. Established, you know, the the potatoes, right? The bland food. What about the sauce? Did he cover is that all in with the potatoes? I that's just a fear flavor. That's what it is separate is a separate issue. I think ties together. Together. So J ride favorite look at the sauces. Yeah. Which one appeals to you. We have a ranch barbecue. Honey mustard and a our barbecue. Now. Remember last time you tried barbecue through it up. Oh my goodness. Yeah. Now looking at that knowing knowing in the past are you bigger than anyone moment? Sure. Because I sometimes just a matter of taste and people don't like barbecue. But with four sauces, you're bound to like one of them, right? Another mathematician anymore. I gave it up. But I think odds are interface over. So Jay Ryan got that barbecue. Yeah. Now, you've done the work, darling. You've done the work. He's met with you had Russian finding pinpointing what? But is okay before I go shouldn't there be some type of when you hypnotize? I pictured him going like. And now your fear is gone naps the fingers, and then all of a sudden, I'm good Lucas. Can you say that? And gone. Jay rod. No. But like, let's obviously, isn't that. How it works as a process I have to come to. And then all of a sudden just happens because I didn't have that moment. I had to be taken out. To get out. There were I mean, there are different layers to it. But I mean, the from what we've done already I mean that is a big stepping stone to get you on track. All right. The excuses. Jay rods dipping. This is barbecue. You can do this. Jay, right. I have faith in you. Remember what you've learned? Hey, remember, why hiccup breath, and you are bigger than that one moment as a young kid be the man to look at that little kid kid version of you in say, I'm the grownup telling you, it's okay, nothing scary is going to happen because of flavor. Right. Right. CJ? Thicke CJ fucking work. Dr tricia. Rossy? But thanks CJ. Great. Good job. Great. All right. Thanks urine angel. All right here. We go. Big boy being bite for boy chewing it. Are you kidding me? You're good at this. Nikki it tastes good. It takes. Okay. Let's see what we think about swing sour. Let's relax. Relax. Sweet and sour. Jay, I'm opening ranches. We talk. Yeah. It was in your face. You were like, I'm okay, I'm okay on bigger than that. You're like tolerated it, but you don't have to like everything you taste. That's the whole point in grow. Like, I have an I taste a lot. I don't like everything. And I just go. I'm not gonna have that. But you tasted it you were bigger than the flavor bigger than the song. What I'm talking about? Right. See where my belief us after all of that. Okay. Try the. Ranch. Not be able to do barbecue barbecue barbecue is. Ranch wrenching was one sauce that I try to all the sauces that like I couldn't Honey mustard. I was absolutely repulsed like love on mustard Swede and Tang smell it. It's a Honey mustard. Ehlers how tight feats how do you like candy J, Raj? You're gonna listen towers the candy sauce. Office. It's a it's sweet and sour you like do you like sweet candies? Our candy. The fact that you didn't gag when you smell the Honey mustard is already huge because used to gear gag was. So I would try what I would do with the hunting of our just put it in your finger on your tongue and the call you're going to love sweet and sour you might love. It. You will. Let me smelling it open the container. Put in my finger share. I would put on chicken you love chicken. Yeah. These a data little corner. Have that has that good? Candy chicken. That's good chicken chicken. It's going to be so good now here you. Oh, okay. He's tasting it. I think he likes that one. Yeah. Don't like it. But I'm not bring it up. Okay. This is huge because it registered on its face. He wanted to dry heave. And he didn't. And he put he like put worked through it. I'm so impressed. He's like, I'm fine. I'm fine. And then I look at him, and he could projectile. It's a man on the ledge right now. But but you did that to sauces too. Big boy bites you swallow him in everything my gut, really. Look what you've done Lucas just one four hour session. I think that I tried to watch was long. Forty five minutes is something with Jay rod, and he's sitting here guzzling sauces. He's barbecue. Isn't that good? People want to be cured if something, hey, hold on Mark. Can you get Mark? I one more favor to ask of you. Lucas while you're on the phone could you could you do me a big favor. Can you cure Mark of interrupting me? Just give him a quick little session. We'll sit back here as you run through it with him. Okay. Mark to a good place. A good place. Good. I'm not going to quit. Actually, I've been pretty good lately. Maybe because I'm in the other room. You can't even up Lucas. Yeah. Okay. Look run him through anything real quick. Since Mark is such a complex creature. Would it would take a little bit more knowledge about him to get to be able to change something? I understand that means loss cows let me. We'll look at how do people find you want to? Rod is great because I can double dip way one. He's not going to turn the nugget around like, oh, and I said, you know, that you like, oh, turn it around W O. Oh. Dozen fucking matters. Well, I just want to say thank you for sending in such great stories. Keep sending them. Strictly dicky. Okay. Anyway. A your serendipitous or your freaky, or your murderous or your creepy goes stories to Nikki be at straight talk with Ross. Did you hear that? What was that in the room with a ghost my watch hit the corner? Oh, all right. Regina Barnhill sent me. An e. This is good as he believable. Don't know. What's gonna happen next on believable? I haven't heard that. Regina says I remember when I was younger about eighteen or so my mom, and I went driving around town running errands, and she pointed at a house and said to me, that's where my friends Cheryl used to live. She then proceeds to tell me this story. For years and came back to her hometown in nineteen seventy four she was married at the time in her husband went to get like to go hang out and have some beers, Cheryl and her husband. So the four of them are all together that Cheryl you wanna beer. Yeah. Exactly. Let's get the guys to Cheryl took my mom's side told her about a bad dream that she had had Cheryl said he had a dream. She was murder. She blew it off blamed it on late night news or all the coverage. Lately was about these two women that have been recently murdered in their town. My mom and dad went home that night after hanging out in that was the last time that they ever saw Cheryl. No. The next day Cheryl has been called my mom, asking her Cheryl had mentioned her running errands after work the he didn't know about since she wasn't home on time. And my mom said that she had remembered anything about errands, but she thought about the dream Cheryl had told her about and the had he just thought there's no way that this is the case. But that in the back of her mind Cheryl had gone to her job at a convenience store that day where she worked alone. Fords. The end of ships. She would shift to -ducted by man. While she was filling drinks in the cooler. She was driven out to a field for she was murdered. No, they caught her pillar the next day because he went back to visit the body to this day. It haunts my mom. She is now a big believer in dreams and being a teller of things in our lives. She always wants to evaluate my dreams when I was growing up. And now, I know why she has made me a believer as well. Kish love for Gina. Thank you Gina for the cell. Sorry about Cheryl four horrible awful, Cheryl. Had that dream about herself anybody ever had a mission premonition of their own death. I know that super creepy to ask have you on? People that died. You know what I mean like? I wouldn't be you know, what I mean? You know what I'm saying? Maybe people have that. Don't you ever think? Like, sometimes you get feelings like I'm gonna die in the. Oh, that's just a thought permission. I do all the time. Has something going on. Can you give it up there on what's just barbecue? Chattan mortgage guys on my brother passed away two weeks before he passed away. I had a dream. And we were hanging out. We listening to boys to men, and then all of a sudden we were on a boat we were on a boat, and we started standing up, and he'd be like Titanic thing that Leonardo DiCaprio does. Yeah. A fell into the water don't water I wouldn't after him. And this is all in your dream. Yes. All my dream, and as he sinking underneath the sea, and as he sinking I can't reach him. I had thought in my head, and I just kept thinking like my brother's going to die. My brothers going to die. He's going to die and I woke up my brother died two weeks later. Should he was six? I'm so. Wow. I think our our bodies and our spirits pick up on things way before. And if you think about like, you know, space time continuum, and that there isn't time is not linear. If there's other things going on like do we know about these things ahead of time? Do we feel them in our body? Do our to our to our human versions of ourselves. Are they are we so dumb that are spiritual versions are picking up on other very I remember when my dad was dying this long drawn out process and Bonnie and pon friend. She's to me she said, oh, he's it's going to it's going to happen today. So I like didn't leave his side. It was like eleven fifteen at night. And that's when it happened like Bonnie, Tony is gonna happen today and there'd be like seven days of thinking any every breath. You know, so she just knew say it like. Remember when we said, we're talking about our fears, and I said fire. Yes. On the program, we talking about fears. Did you see that post? Somebody went to listen and months ago in may facts, he said fire with is the big fear and worried is house would be burned down. But I think that we all have that in us to be just tuned in and we stop and we're quiet. I think that we can all yeah. We can all receive mess. Well, hold on. Hold on. No what? What? I was in paled. Nasty. No. I can't believe this. Komi? Wow. I have no idea. That's wow. Blanche? Whoa. Now what I like an onion. You know, what I mean, there's so many layers keep learning that's right show it all right away. I didn't know she was in pale. Visual in my I know Nikki. Nikki. Thank you so much. Keep them coming. Nikki, please. Okay. Balls with facts. Steed. We Ron I know somebody said that blanche should have her own podcast. Can you she it would actually be really funny if she had her court. Jackie is not blanche Blanche's different actor. Okay. Ross stretch. All right. Iraq is I'm gonna go. Ready? All right. Okay. Wrong wrong. All right. I just want to address. The elephant in the studio. Elephants in Kearney. Nikki. Little body of. Can we talk about this uh, plus weekly? He's going there. AT store. I had to go deep. I see this online. We've all seen I feel and you don't have to talk about it. No. We're not going to cut it. We'll talk about it. Yeah. No. It don't added. I feel like that's the elephant in the studio. That's the elephant in the show. And so might a segment is ball's deep ongoing ball, Steve no one has to answer. You don't have to answer the question. The question is what do you feel about that article? I have many questions about of start to start off. How do you? How do you said you have a new boyfriend? So how do you and what is your answer to that? The. Oh, I always say nothing off limits. Okay. So us weekly did put some articles and stuff, and it was some other ones who else did it entertainment entertainment tonight, kind of instinct magazine when I saw them. I was like what I'll tell you this. It is. So you know, I make I made a living in part of it is like on Chelsea lately and everything we talk about everything going on the poultry even pop talk. You know, we do it. I have a new appreciation for those. I just because people have a lot of pinions about whatever's going on your life without knowing what's going on life. So simultaneously. There were few things going on like I just reached out to my mom right away. And said what can of course, not going to go to details of anything. But I'll tell you what I was crazy. Interesting was just being on that side of it of people speculating about your love life and your or lack thereof or whatever's just speculating about your life was like, whoa. And then like people send me things. I I look and see people having opinions about it. It's like not even knowing details or anything. It was very interesting exercise in having sort of empathy. Right others. You know, and it was a it was an interesting moment. And can I say I saw this on the street dog group page, and you know, I think that because we've created a family, you know, you had a very public relationship you made it public, and I feel like maybe it didn't end. So. Oh public. I mean ended public in the goodbye like we broke up, but I feel like because that article maybe, you know, feel a little like wait as there's something else. I mean that was something not shared with us that we should know as a family. You know, what I mean, there was I can promise you there has been lots in my life that I have not share. I open it up as much as possible. But I promise you there are things that our listeners, and you don't know about my life now and my life before and everything like that. But like, I we share what we can. And I I I'm not ashamed of anything. I don't have anything to hide. I just you know, I dunno you world trying to figure it out magin if you're just trying to figure out your life, right? Yeah. Just figuring it out. And then, and you don't even know you're still figure still figuring out. And then all of a sudden, not only people asking you questions, you know, calling saying what's going on? And you go, I don't know. And they say, well, we're going to. Article about it, so confirm you like. I'm just I'm just getting through the day. So I that's why I'm not commenting on anything. And I won't but I'm happy and I'm good. How about that? That's what you signed up for being a public figure being a celebrity. You know, like nobody ever cared about that stuff before you know. This is new this is interesting. So do you know what I'm saying? I never had to deal with that stuff before. Respond. I was sure. People care. I was just shocked that kinda fascinating right that you're you're I don't mean this disrespectfully that your tiny little life matter so much to everyone. Because all I was leaving target. When I got the call, you know, think those people live on different planet, and the people that people ride about in there saying that was it's really bizarre. Crazy. But I admire you for not having a kneejerk reaction any of that. Because I don't know if I'd be good at that. Wait a minute. That's my life. You know what? I mean. I think you're handling everything really gracefully. I listen to you. And I'm I love you all to I'm happy working it out figuring it out that my life. You looking at me C J. What do you wanna know about nothing? Nobody's business. I'm just listening. I great. That's great. Any suggestions any advice on how to handle it? Just come out and be honest about our honeymoon. And the fact that it's raid, and that we were on honeymoon. And that you've madly got it all wrong. Yeah. Doesn't even know what they don't even know. No, not everybody's all. It's all good. And you know what? The fact you ask that you went there just proves on the show. I mean, you know, like when you need to know when the world need to win the a listener when you straight talker. I'm talking to you listening when you need to know something, you'll know something all right, but great, but thank you. Nothing's off limits. Great. That I would love I'm not I love you. So what's out there is out there? Okay. So celebrity big, brother. What do you think? What do you really know? Do you know the mooch the Mucci nightfall each other on Twitter, and we private messaged say to each other. Hi, how you doing that? We just said that when he got the job with Trump in, but he was a campaign or the communications director for hot minute. And so I told the story and talk to I was like who is that he was named for five minutes. So I googled or searched him on Twitter and said he followed me, and I was like I follow him back. And I wrote like, hey, congrats on the job and he wrote back. Thanks roth. Great. And you like this cast like Deary excited about it. Yeah. I would watch anybody on the show. I love the game. I love this game. So when I watched people I've never heard of on the regular big, brother. So this is just kind of fun. Like, I wanna see Dina. Lohan gets slop all over her. Right. I wanna so of course, I'm going to watch. That'll be fun. But I want to be very clear whatever they put together. I'd be happy. Because I I watched strangers. Do it right. Okay. Okay. I want to say real quick, and then have a Balti CJ. But bland, no, the dog show thing w I was so that picture you posted on your Instagram of you in Debbie Gibson. Love this show. In mine always comes into at this. F- in Christ. But I just want to start with black lives matter still with everything that is going on. I think it was a time when we were saying that statement, and it was very powerful we were out here. But I think it's so much going on in the world. We haven't been pushing out as much, but it needs to and I've been saying this even more so just because I've all videos of being especially the young black women that are being violated by grown white. So when I think of like Neil Wilson being murdered at the Bart station. I think about the young black woman working at McDonalds in a white man reaching over the counter and grabbing her recently, the twelve year old black girl that was punched into face by some fifty six year old white man, and she was like knocked out. This just happened recently this week so seeing all these video and that video my my girl Paris MacOS on my show. She. Enjoy looking at the video and her daughter was looking at it. And just Bella Paris daughter. She has sound like a look of fear in her face and for that little girl to see that think like she can. To be scared to go to a McDonald's or any place in America and fill like some grown man can do that to our it. It annoys me. I just have to say this again black lives matter because all this shit that going on the world this breaks, my f- in hawed. And so you grown white men. Keep your hands to yourself. I'm let me be in place when that happened because I am climbing out of this Spiderman somewhere and doing something somebody bait. Oh. Like the girl at McDonalds. I would fight. No Girling never got to do nothing because I'm a beat at anyways. So anyway, bring all that to save that black lives matter outside of that now to divert a little bit Dr brunch. This past weekend was really fun and amazing. I was there. And there was this woman that brought her two kids in and she was like these are my kids first time coming to a drag show. Let's talk about it. And speaking Steve of talking about it. Let's start with some of our bets from last week and the Super Bowl in general. I gotta tell you Steve. I I was really surprised I think I mean, obviously everybody was that the game was that low scoring. I mean, before we even get into some of the bets that we had things that we thought that was I mean, I know what you say about the first half and stuff. But man, I mean that was really something. Agree. I wasn't surprised that the Super Bowl started slowly as many of them often do but just shocking that the offense just never picked up in particular for the Rams the really the entire game. Right. I mean. Wow. You wanna talk about coaching and how important coaching is. That was and it was really good defensive coaching by both sides. So some of the bets that you have you obviously said avoid the needle in the state in the haystack bets. Final score first player to score MVP. Those are probably all pretty good. You know, I guess some people take element is the MVP. But you know, that's that probably will. I mean, it was a good back because he came through. But even that, Steve you could argue that Stefan Gilmore, somebody else should have been the MVP. Yeah. The problem with all those bets is not that there. They wouldn't be good bets. Ross. It's just that the sports books know that they can shorten the payouts on all the players and people will still bet them so to give an example, Donald open seventy five to one. But by the time that the market sell then he was twenty two one and his true odds. Probably maybe seventy five to one did have a little bit of value. But his true odds, maybe would be at sixty two one. So many of these guys that get hyped by the time that the game kicks off. You're getting cheated blind. Literally in terms of what the payout should be versus what you're betting. Wow. That's interesting. First player to score. Gus cow ski seem pretty reasonable for that. Yeah. Usually, you know, the props are such that more often than not people bet first player to score touchdown. Now. There is the first player to score. But the problem with that is if you break it down touchdowns more likely than the field goal, right? So if you have ten scores you're gonna have six scores that are going to be touchdowns. You're gonna have four field goals and two for each side. Let's say so that would be a twenty percent chance for guests cow ski in the twenty percent chance for their line. So when you break out the actual math. Yeah. Someone's got to score. And then you can always try to justify that was good bad. But it never is. Oh, that's why you're here. That's why I got you as my co host. So. Obviously, you say don't bet MVP bets. Odds are far payouts or so bad for the best players. You do like typically though over unders on prop bets like Tom Brady passing yards. Correct. Yes. And I did have Brady under three hundred pass yards. And that's an example of one you want to look for a prophet the public, and everyone is betting over an obvious prop and Brady over for pastures and Gough really for that matter were obvious proposition bets at the public was going to bet and both of them did cash, and of course in a low scoring Super Bowl. Most of the unders are going to cash on the players. So there was a lot of value playing the players to go under and of course, the team totals under and things like first quarter under no score early in the game, and the like in one of my favorite prop that I had bet like the past ten years is that the the second half outscore the first half. 'cause I has usually are lower scoring that cashed again that one is now sixteen four and one. On the last twenty one years, if there was one prop I encourage you to bet next year early before the line moves it would be second half doubt score for Steph. You had you bet no score in the first five minutes and thirty seconds. What were the odds for that? That was had to lay the dollar twenty when I bet that. And frankly, I almost lost it ninety the New England turnover but back with the theme of there being limited scoring early on. Let's face it. When New England has three points in nine Super Bowls with Bela check and Brady that has been one fine prop at the bet year after year. Yeah. That's that makes sense first quarter under ten and a half was another one that that you obviously crushed zero zero at the end of the first quarter. Right. Yes. So and I think that's the fifth Super Bowl under ballot. Check and Brady that finished zero zero pretty amazing. It really is now third quarter to outscore the first as well as second half to outscore the I is there a difference and odds between those two or a basically the same thing in same reasoning. It's the odds are a little bit higher. In terms of vigorous debate, the second half outscore the first half. At post close because that prop is been bet. Typically, get sped so heavily. But the odds are similar in the reasoning is certainly similar. Right. And so you want on both of those. So basically you want on your first four pet. Steve no score. I five minutes thirty seconds first quarter under ten and a half third quarter outscore the first second half to outscore the first then it was the Brady now on our podcast. You had Brady passing yards? You took the over two eighty six on that. Well, I bet that I said that I bet that it open at the opener because I knew it would inflate. So that was an example playing for the middle. And I talk about if you're gonna there's certain props on the Super Bowl where if you know, a number is going to move like the second. It's the first half liked to quarterback. You wanna get at it early to go ahead and play it over. So I did play Brady over right when it came out. But I believe by the time the podcast came out. He had already inflated upwards can't recall, the the executive, but we we did our podcast. Well, we did it in the second week of the Super Bowl. I know he was there. It was. Right. I think we did it Tuesday. Right. Or maybe it was Thursday. I can't remember. So so Thirdly as far as basic strategy, if you're going to bet the quarterbacks to go over you wanna bet at early in the bedding cycle of the two weeks Super Bowl. If you're going to bet the quarterbacks to go under you wanna do it on Super Bowl Sunday right before they kick off, you know, Brandin cooks I've met him under that was my big loser. And that was disappointing that they shut him down for much of the game. And then late in the game against more of a prevent defense. Cooks when crazy on this last couple of drives. Well, that was the only one I joined John, and I put two units on it. It was the best bet. And that hurt I thought the logic was sound that that Bella check wouldn't let him beat them. But I mean thirteen targets and the other thing too about that Steve is, you know, he could have caught either one of those, you know, I mean, he he could've caught either one of those touchdown passes that were in his hand. I mean, he could end up having a a really big game. He could have been MVP. I mean how much different is the Super Bowl if he just catches one of those two balls in the end zone both of those. I would say we're like fifty fifty opportunities. And now all of a sudden, we're not talking about how New England dominated. We're wondering whether New England even wins the game. Right. And part of that, you know, the one golf, I think was just laid on. Both of them were really tremendous tremendous plays by defensive backs for New England. I mean, the first one was Jason mccourty. The second one was a combination of Stefan Gilmore end Doron harm. And it was really really impressive by both really impressive. So that was a big loser for both of us. Unfortunately, I actually leaned over fifty six and a half and lean New England. So lean New England was good clearly leaning over fifty six and a half. Wow. I mean talk about off. But really Steve. I mean to me you looked at the last couple of Super Bowls, and how high-scoring those were and you can see. Sydor the two teams that were playing in a dome or crowd noise shouldn't be much of a factor. Although I think it actually was a little bit for the Rams, but it can't have been that much. I mean, they were just played the Superdome the game before. So it couldn't have been that much of a factor for them. But clearly I'm glad I didn't tell people to actually take the over. Or I'm actually I'm glad I didn't actually make a play on on the over. I wish I would have though on New England. Although like, you said that could have ended up backfiring on me too. Yeah. So he's dicey. When you try to dissect anyone individual play New England, frankly did dominate the overall stats so you can make the case that New England should have been ahead by a lot more heck of Hightower picks off Gough to start the third quarter. There's a pick six and the games basically going to be done. I think the number one takeaway I had was remember how Goff how when he was playing poorly in Chicago. And he could just never turn it around. He really got the deer in the headlights look in the Super Bowl that I think it got into his head when he was unsuccessful early and the patriots made some mistakes, but they were just workmanlike and said, you know, what we've been here before and it didn't faze them. And it really seemed to phase golf. Yeah. I hear you. But I thought he actually made stay stood in there and made some good booze in the second half. And in particular in the fourth quarter like the one that cooks in the end zone. I mean, he dropped it in their perfectly Gilmore was arm, barring as one arm down and Harmon came over. But actually, I think that's just how his face. Oh as looks. He always looks like he's got deer in the headlights going could could well be I go back to like one of his longest pass completions in the first app, even to woods woods could well have been out of balance. He was a little inaccurate with that pass. And they played did not get challenged at probably too close to overrule, but Gough just seemed a little bit off. And obviously the pass rush. New England was able to bring him in sac and four times had a lot to do with that. And I do think that the crowd noise, certainly, not the New Orleans Superdome. But I think it was somewhat unexpected like you go, and you think oh this is going to be a neutral site game. And. And from what I hear that New England certainly had a huge in terms of crowd noise. Yeah. It sounded like that. You also had the Rams as a play if it got to plus three. What did it close that Steve yet close to two two and a half? So the money came in late on the Rams. So that was fortunate for me because threes never popped up of had I gotten a three I most certainly would have a pretty big. But you know, I can make the case that the Rams easily could have lost the game by three as it played out in the fourth quarter. Certainly if they they had many opportunities to make the game ten ten probably. If you look at the bulk of the game, and you said what should the final score been based upon the box score though. I think New England probably should have won the game something like twenty one to twelve. So I think the final margin was probably pretty accurate. So I don't know I'm looking at our season totals, and we're definitely twenty out of forty six on our best bet. So it was a rough year on the best bets. I'm definitely minus nine for the season. Because I only had one bet in the Super Bowl, and it was Brandin cooks under. So I'm minus nine for this season. And I apologize to all listeners. I'm disappointed as you are. Although we know I'm up a lot over the course of the show. And even if you just look at last year when I was up like forty units combine in two years. I think I'm still up thirty units. So it all you gotta look at the totality. He didn't. He didn't have on his great Steve. He didn't have how many units you put on all those other props. Do you know how many you did? Or did. We just talk about those or those official plays. I can't remember, you know, unfortunately, I talked about all the stuff I bet and I never quantified them as official best bet. So although they all one Rawson everything was speaking about their not best bets. They don't go into my record. Yeah. I think the only one that. I remember you putting units on was the was the Brandin cooks and that missed you finish the year up seven units. Although I'm sure a lot of our listeners took a lot of the advice. You had for all those props the first four or five that all hit? So you're you're up seven units for the year with a big asterisk on that because I'm sure a lot of people followed your bets and ended up doing pretty darn good on the Super Bowl with all those props that now I mean with all those props cashing in so consistently today. Just keep increasing the juice every year on them on second adverse first-half all that kind of stuff or what actually happens is the betters increase, the juice. The Ouch makers, I've always stated are largely overrated in terms of the information that they utilize you hear all the time all the Vegas knows more than you know. And it it's true. But it's only. True because of the betters when the numbers go up Vegas does not know more than you do think about you got college basketball. You've got a you've got golf you got so many different things you gotta put up as a bookmaker. You don't have the bandwidth to be able to research each and every prop properly before you put it up. So what happens each year is that the bookmakers put up things like we'll the second half outscore the first half and the line on on a typical NFL game is pick them when you put up that line. And so because of that they put it up at pick them. And then the betters get a hold of it. And they know that that second has a really good bet and they play it. And then this year the second half closed minus one eighty outscore score the first half. So the line moves, and it's not the oddsmaker that's moving. It's the better that are moving. Did you hear Steve? Of course, we're presented by bet online dot AG. And I tell people all the time use the promo code podcast one. You get a fifty percent. Welcome bonus. But there was a controversy because bet online dot AG set the over under for Gladys Knight, national anthem at one minute and fifty seconds, and the under was graded a winner at one forty nine as she said to Braves, however, bet online dot AG decided to pay out both sides, Steve. Yeah. Really nice move by them because in the fine print of the anthem. It clearly states that upon the completion of the first utterance of the word at brave that the anthem will be graded upon that. And she finished what she double clutched the brave at the end and held it out. So that if you timed it it went a full two minutes. But by the letter of the law was. Only one forty nine and a half and a real nice touch that bet online decide to pay out the overs and the unders that were on the national anthem, and that is outstanding customer service. So there's a lot of and by the way bet online dot AG using that promo code podcast one. That's the key. Look, they they're getting positive feedback from Steve positive kudos from other people for paying out both sides of that it looked like. You know, a lot of these other things, you're exactly right. Steve you start to see the line moving a lot. And that's because somebody knows people know. Yeah. People are in the rehearsal, and it's timing out at one fifty nine and a two minutes and think about that if the rehearsal is one hundred twenty seconds, and you can play over one hundred ten seconds. You're going to be hard pressed to find a better bet to make. It's just unfortunate in this case that there was the controversy associated with the rules in terms of when the anthem actually ended. Done it. Taking a look at next year. St. we don't have any season win totals. But we do have Super Bowl odds out already. And I want to talk with you about them a little bit more next week because I want to get your thoughts. But these are all patriots six to one chief seven to one we could look next week. And see where you think that there is value. I guess, you know, in case people want to do it this week. What's your in general these needle in the haystack to you? And you stay away you prefer this season win total numbers over these correct? Very much. So I do think they're needle in the haystack. Every now and then you'll get value. The one time that I will bet on teams oftentimes is after like we two or three of the NFL regular season. Like, I was able still able to get the Rams at six to one after week three in the NFL regular season. And that was I thought really strong value didn't cash, you know, one thing I need to ask you about Ross. I don't even know if this is on your radar screen with what's going on. I know there are no lines yet on it. But the alliance of American football starts this week. Is that a league you've even looked into yet? Well, I'm aware of it. But I haven't really looked at the at the rosters as of yet to have an idea of who I think's better than others. So I'm not there yet. But. Who knows that might be something we can be talking about here. There are a decent amount of good players. So maybe that's what will be saying for bed online dot AG and the promo code podcast one. That'd be fun. I do want to get to one Email, Steve because we've got a little bit of a backlog people can keep sending them in. If they want Ross at Ross, Tucker dot com Bryk, and you hit the Email Sounders because I like how it sounds. NFL player question will. Here's your genius. It's time to ask rose the Email address Ross at Ross Tucker dot com, you take advantage of any of our sponsors or you just rate and review the show, which is crazy easy on apple podcasts or you. Go ahead and. By something at Amazon using the banner ad over at Ross, Tucker dot com. There's just a lot of easy ways that you can ask us a question. This comes to us from Jeremy Steve thank you for sharing your wisdom with us. We've been talking a lot about teasers this year, the standard teaser charges you twenty points juice for the six point teas and both teams must cover. I've noticed that. I can sometimes get a slightly better number if I parlay alternative point spreads. Is it worth it for me to play around with parlaying point spreads to get a minus one seventeen instead of a minus one twenty on a six point teaser. Should I pay the extra juice to cross a key number as in a take eight points instead of six but pay something like minus one fifty is this good bedding practice or a new way to lose money. Thank you for the help. And keep up the good work. I look forward to the show every week. Jeremy? While is that a good question. It's a complicated question. Let me see if I can simplify it. So there's alternative point spreads that are offered especially on things like the Super Bowl. So let's use the Rams, for example. So there was an alternative spread that the Rams were plus eight and a half. So what is a plus eight nap and the Rams it's essentially the first leg of a teaser. You're getting an extra six points with the Rams. So if you played the Rams in a teaser, the as it turns out the way the math works out that it's about the first leg, you're laying minus two eighty I won't get into the great details of it. But if you teach the Rams with something else, you're really playing the Rams essentially on the first leg plus seven plus eight now les mis two eighty so if you could find an alternative line where you could find the Rams, plus eight Nath at say mice to fifty that would be way better than playing the Rams and the teaser because you're getting the same thing, but at thirty cents cheaper. So that would be an example where? Oftentimes, you can engineer a cheaper price than playing the teaser during the regular season. The great example, never tease a six point NFL favorite. Why? Because you can just play them on the money line, minus about two forty five. So why tease them when you're paying essentially minus two eighty when you can play them on the money line, minus two forty five whenever I see someone teasing six point NFL favorite as a recommendation. I know that there are novice not a pro because they should know that the money line is so much better there than playing them in a teaser. Well. I know that there are times where UT's and there are times where you. You know, you do par Lay's, and you look, and you get a little bit more complicated. But I don't know. I mean, I just feel like I try to keep it. Simple stupid. Is that bad of me? No, that's good. It's a good basic strategy. But I will say this that the one area where the NFL sports books in Vegas. Got destroyed literally destroyed the most over the years, it's from wise guys betting six point teasers against them. The odds on those Ross used to be risk one hundred to win one hundred and then it was risk one hundred ten to one hundred and then it was risk one hundred twenty to win one hundred. And now some books are charging one mice one thirty. And the reason being is that they've gone through the sports books and queried what the results were. And that's the one subset of all the bedding that they've taken in where they've actually lost not just for a week or a month or year but like lifetime over decades booking. The six point teasers at minus a dollar ten. God that makes perfect sense. And yeah, I mean, I know that's something that you still use still do that'll do it, by the way for the even money podcast remember to send any emails Twitter. Facebook spread the word at Ross.
