I'll tell you between you and me, I'm with you. I spent a lot of time trying to win this thing. I got it. And you know what? I'm gonna wear it. Maybe not all the time, but I'm gonna wear it a lot, especially when I'm playing poker. And you know what, if someone makes fun of me, so what? You know, it was funny. It's funny. I was at a kind of hybrid work social event recently. I was a couple of my colleagues, very senior people. And there was also happened to be a World Series of poker final tables from way back when there was go about to say Steve Bagley? Yeah, of course. Yeah. So they were making fun of me. I had it on. Let me show you. He's going to wear the bracelet forever. You know, it's funny. It's this. And Steve goes to them. Do you understand how hard it is to win one of those? Hey. I won one. There you go. Also never leave my wrists. Right. There you go. Phil Gordon used to say this. There are two types of poker players in the world. One's with? And one's without. And there are a lot more without. So until you're in that, if you were a bracelet winner, I would say, if a bracelet winner came up to you and said something like that, okay, take it for what it's worth. Hey, listen, I don't wear mine ever. You should wear yours. Okay, that's fine. But if you're one without, you have nothing to say until you jump over into that other category. When you jump over the other category, you have the right to say whatever you want. But until that time, it's jealousy. That's all it is. It's just jealousy. Trust me. Trust me, I'm as jealous. Even though I'm on a YouTube, if you're watching on YouTube on screen, where I am trying to touch them. I'm trying to steal it right now. That's what I'm trying to do. I just want to grab it. You know, so obviously it is a phenomenal phenomenal achievement. And like you said, you know, put those numbers into perspective, you don't have the time to go out for 8 weeks, 7 weeks, like a lot of these people who literally park and Airbnb the whole deal. You're going out for just a few events. And on top of that, you played in an event with probably one of the smallest fields in a no limit holdom event. Usually no limit holding is minimum 17 1800 if not three to 4000. Jeremy Osman won the turbo COVID charity. That was a very fortunate one. It was kind of one of those weird scenarios whereas if you a few hundred. But you had only 800 people. Let's describe the shootout scenario for some people, because some people don't know what this is. Is that there are 800 people that start out and then they're all ten handed. So it is a ten handed basically sit and go. It goes top three get prizes, but this one is winner take all..

"I mean, I have to sell, of course, they'll actually be playing the 50 K, speaking of that, I've got some action for sale up on the state kings and the use take for the 50 K plo at face. I figure for selling for a 50 K, should pretty much always be at face in my opinion, but anyway. Yeah, so we'll see maybe I can but the thing is that you have the guys like Helmut and Daniel, they've got a slight edge versus me for the ability to get POI points because they can play those buy and comfortably. Or whatever they can play. I'm not going to unreal. I'm not going to play the hundred K unless some magic happens in the next week or whatever. Right, right. Yeah. Well, the irony is that the person you've bumped into right leg, he's doing very well. Also, and it's just really a dogfight right now. I mean, really, as us doing this interview, which is during the World Series main event, right at the beginning of the World Series main event, you have 6 players, including Phil helmets that are all within about a 115 points of each other. And that's literally just, you know, a solid finish, right? I don't even think it's a final table. It's just a solid finish. And now you're just going to just leapfrog all these players and as you mentioned, Daniel, who's in tenth, he's basically a deep final table away from leapfrogging all of you guys too. So it is really it. I mean, with this many tournaments, there's still about 2022 tournaments still left to go. It's anyone's race. And like you said, there could be somebody who's not even in the top ten right now who could easily just catapult from there. I mean, Jeremy Osman who won the first technical bracelet of the year even though it was a third bracelet, it was the first one to finish. He's in 13, but he's still only about 800 points off. So just don't know. Dylan Lin. I mean, those are the players that could just come out of left field and he said final table the main event. And it's like, wow, wait a second. What happened? Don't Sean dean. Sean D busson. The main event. But like, you know, he could just go whatever. The ten K rides or something, you know whatever. It's almost maybe a potential advantage. If you think about it because the main event is going to last how long. And it's going to take you out of all these other events, right? So like don't play the main event and get deep. Oh, yes, you lost the main event. Don't get me wrong. We know it's the Mac daddy of them all. But now you have a shot at all the other bracelet venture two, three days, right?.

All right, this year's World Series of poker has come to an end and here are our final updates, spinning glazer one event 78 to ten K rats championship for a sports career bracelet. Previously in the series, he had a second third and 9th place finishes. They'll help you made a 6th final table the series, and I can't believe you didn't notice I did. You did it everywhere and I just said screw it. He's doing it to piss me off or he's really stupid. So either way, you know, I don't know, but you're really itchy L button on my laptop is what it is. Constantly putting extra L's where they don't belong. It's like Easter egg hunt for you. Anyway, I feel help me with one out. Actually. One L and Phil, too and help me. You made a 6 final table of the series. Adrian Mateo is one of an 82, the 250 K high roller for his fourth career bracelet in the highest buy in event of the series. Leo Omar gets when event 83 to $1500 closer to become the only woman to win an open event this series. Jeremy Osman is one of N 84 to 50 K PO high roller defeating Phil Helmut one L and NFL. Heads up, helping me set the record for the most final tables in a series with 7 Daniel mcgrady who finished third. Josh aria was 7th, the grand I would go on to finish third in the very next event while aria had a tenth place finish two events later. And Josh Ari is this year's player of the year at 11 cache is two bracelets in two other final tables with 4194.59 points helping me to finish second with 3720.01 points and ten cash is one bracelet. 6 other final tables, while doing your grano, who hasn't won a bracelet since 2013, boy, I would have lost that, but rallied to finish third with 3531.03 points with 18 cashes and three final tables. The World Series of poker started a new series of NFT options, which we don't care about at all. Nope. But if you do, it features famous clips from the series over the years. And finally, well known when Las Vegas tax expert Russ Fox had published his estimates of the tax burden for this year's main event final table. Congratulations, really phenomenal. Yeah, he was definitely a fly in his soup this whole series, right? Thought he was going to catch up and then you follow that over there. Hey, hey, he's had another final table. Well, guess what? Josh Ari just missed the final labels. I don't do much. So yeah, somebody called him an unlikely player of the year. I don't know if that seems like a stretch to me. Obviously, I think some of these other names, people probably would have thought a bit more. But I don't necessarily think it's an unlikely, but one of these great pros gets a good streak and the initial we had three of them. I mean, three of the most fantastic players will oversee finished one two and three and they all had great series. Solidifying our player of the year, you know, professional player going to do well in this World Series stuff. I mean, they really did just rise to the occasion. The other stuff on top of LEGO markets, that's fantastic. You know, a woman winning, it's always always great when that can happen because then it just opens up the field to more women saying, hey, I think I can do this too and getting them out there to play and that's a great thing. Some of these other names I didn't really recognize, but they had multiple bracelets. Again, this week, everybody who want to bracelet seem to have wondered fourth bracelet. It's crazy. And I haven't heard telling you squawking about the player of the year. Here at the end, I'm sure he probably was somewhere. But it's interesting because he talked about when he had his first meltdown over here and it should reward final tables over anything else. So we've got to look at now we kind of know some of the stats, right? So aria made four final tables, he made 7, but aria had two bracelets he only had one, so I don't know. I mean, 11 cashes and ten companies had ten. So, you know, I think between those two, I think we're really splitting hairs now. Would have been interesting if Negro would have cast a couple more times 18 cashes had more than almost as much of those two guys combined. Had he had a couple more cashes and actually been the player of the year and I'm not looking for a appointment to the college football playoff selection committee here by saying it, but I would have a hard time stop eating a player of the year that didn't win a bracelet. Yeah. Yeah, that's true. I mean, still 18 cash is pretty phenomenal. But that's remarkable. Remarkable. I think you meant new granular..

"World Series of poker is underway as we have discussed and what better to start the 2021 interviews of the bracelet winners than the first one who won a bracelet in 2021. He is a former guest of our show. He is also very adjusted to the World Series of poker final stage. If you're watching on YouTube, you can see the main event final table stage back there. And this gentleman not only has seen that but has been on it in 2012. He made the November 9 at the time. Actually, it was technically the October 9 because it happened in October. But he finished in 5th place that year. In 2013, he also picked up his first bracelet in Europe in the 15 €100 plo event, but now he won his second bracelet. It technically was the first bracelet awarded, even though it was event number three, but it was the $1000 no limit hold him COVID-19 relief charity event for almost $50,000. Welcome back to the show. Jeremy Osman Jeremy, thanks for joining us here on the bernardi poker show. Sure. Glad to be here. Congratulations. I mean, you win literally the first event of the summer or at least the first get awarded the first place this summer. Nothing better than that to kick off 2020 ones WP, right? Yeah, always good to win the first one. You know, when you're in a cash game, you run it twice. Then you win the first one. People always say always good to win the first one. And you can't argue with winning the first one, right? Right, right. You can't win them all. Exactly. Unless you win the first one, although you couldn't have played it in the other ones, but that's beside them. It was a very interesting event. It was a turbo event and obviously it was for the COVID-19 charity. Before we get to the actual event itself, let's talk a little bit about COVID in the scenario of your in Vegas, Vegas was completely changed during COVID. We've interviewed many people talking about how bizarre it was to see the strips, the lights out, barricades in front of the casinos, et cetera, how was it for you during COVID? We had a pretty good. I mean, you know, I have two kids, so homeschool. That's always tough. At young ages. Right. On the computer, I played online poker mainly for work, you know, there's no live poker..

"Okay Well congratulations. he's like. I said many times on the show. He's definitely been one of my favorites. So i just you know just a. I've always enjoyed so. They just finished the men in her masters with the eight game. Mix a ten thousand dollar buy in mexico in the winter. That one chat ever sledge. Lives down here. South florida finished second. Stephen chiswick was third. Jeremy osman fifth. And you know he's looking at some of the tables out there. The leader leaderboard for the tournament. Because negroni one that one. He's a leader on the poker. Masters leaderboard Shannon shore when the opening event jay. Also from down here in south. Florida is eight on that list and jake daniels in ninth. So go ahead. Well i was just Jumping in here. I did receive. A a word from joe rodriguez that he got called into an emergency meeting for work. And so i'm going to jump on here co host for the last ten minutes of the show as you Land the plane for the poker action line audience out there as you know. Joe is a very In demand character in the south florida poker world and so I'm your guy for the next ten minutes. What do you think about the grounded. I gotta tell you honestly this guy must be the biggest name in all of poker because he gets mentioned on poker action line every week. I think joan are big fans. Helmuth might be a bigger name right now. Especially after these to tournaments. But he's not as likable as daniel. I think that was. That's a big part of it. That people see him live in the dream. Beautiful talk host poker hosts that would he married last year and a gorgeous ceremony and You know he has his bad times where he gets angry and that sort of thing and maybe his tarnished image over the last year a little bit but he's just seems to be a likeable guy. I mean he's very approachable at tournament in love loves to answer questions from fans. Well not only that a couple of weeks ago. You may recall that. I forwarded you a taxed or an ad that i received that Program called masterclass where steven spielberg will teach you how to you know. Shoot a film or or that kind of deal. Daniel new teaches a poker master class. Now master class is not a sponsor of poker action line guys and so. I'm not suggesting you go get it. But i've heard so much about the guy from you guys and then i thought well here. He is teaching a master class for the folks that masterclass to You know have pick him all the guys out there. I know he's a six time world series of poker Winner and all. But i thought that spoke volumes right masterclass with daniel negroni new. Then i talk about a lot more few years ago kind of wonder you know. There's a lot of teachers out there. Jonathan little is a guy that we mentioned quite a bit also does a lot of teaching online People you know i. I don't think they take advantage as much advantage of some of those things that that they need to. I think More of a beginner player might try to to take care of that but These guys that are experienced can add so much to your game. Well if you're going to be good in anything you have to be constantly on the pursuit of knowledge and constantly practicing to be Just a casual player. I think you're going to bump into a ceiling. But that's the with anything. And that's why i've found it so interesting to listen to you guys over the years because talking about poker talking about car racing or talking about sports a lot of the things that make you successful or the same things right right very true. What are your thoughts. Now that you're you're on with me about the mass mandate at a poker tournament. I know you're not a poker player. But it's a serious problem and you know there are people that are upset about it but face it we're all just tired of wearing mass. It's tough. I like the analogy to smoking. Honestly i like the analogy to smoking like once upon a time. Everybody was smoking at the tables and then I don't know if it's everywhere but in a lot of places that went away and some people were not into it and some people were into it and they're big they were other places like maybe they'll be You know coveted tournaments. I don't know for these people with a big business and a huge stake and obvious tremendous liability something that nobody thinks about If they're if they're going to have a vaccine mandate or production of a negative test. Then i'm okay with no masks at the table. If that's what they wanna do still figuring out a lot of stuff. Things aren't going to be perfect right out of the box. The mask is a better deal. But if you're going to be sitting there for what is it you know ours our hours and hours isn't and you can take your mask off having a beverage and you can take a mask off while having something to eat and honestly the whole mask thing. I support it but at the same time there's been inconsistencies and things that don't make sense like you could be drinking a coke and your mask is off but when you're not drinking coke your mask has to beyond and so people carry the mass. They carry the coke around everywhere you know trying to get around it It's an imperfect policy if they wanna do something that they're going to do whatever they gotta do to ensure the success of the tournament they definitely don't want the story that x. amount players are so and so big name player was infected at the world series of poker they that would be terrible for them and potential liability lies there. And so you know. At some point you've got to trust the management to make the right decision for their product and so if this is what they're choosing to do initially with the vaccine mandate now this a concession. Perhaps i i'm okay with it. These people that Just bring up freedom. And this is america and that sort of thing is is kind of just rings. Pretty hollow to me. Well yeah of course but there are always going to be thirty percent of every hundred people on every topic you can think of. That are just a difficult about it. And that's you can't you can't allow them to run the show and that's what we've been doing in the world for the past you know. Call it twenty years or so because now they have a voice on social media and taxed and they can ride an email and all that stuff once upon a time. If you got a written letter it was a big deal because somebody bothered to sit down and write a letter and that was the only way to communicate your displeasure. Now people can go on and put people on blast and blow up on their social media and twitter and all of that and they got a bunch of people just like them saying yeah but the fact is that this public health just like the vacs people in the schools are the most people in the schools. Guess what your kids are already getting vaccinated by a bunch of a bunch of stuff. Are you suggesting that we shouldn't be doing that. That has nothing to do with your freedom. What about your shoes. Do you wanna go walking barefoot into puzzle. Public's do you want to go walking around barefoot in the public school system. Do you want to go walk barefoot around. No of course not you. You're not allowed to do that. That's gross and disgusting and you can't do it and i don't care how free it makes you feel. You got to wear your clothes bud. And it's it is a hollow argument and they don't really even mean it dave they don't even really mean it. It's just it's.
