"Be in that top year of them sacramento luvell etc. I look with them. Everybody else i would actually be like. Yeah i wi what what makes what the difference with unix louisville's louisville's mo has historically been to reach resign players. They they wanna keep guys in. India's also been like that. India levin has also been as assigned very talented players onto them but phoenix was capable two years ago of having one of the best strikers in the league one of the best midfielders. The league guys who were like fringy analysts possibilities Solomon asante junior fleming's and i was like. Oh these guys are fantastic. You know they've proven themselves. They scored a ton of goals in a ton of says. They're definitely gonna move onto a bigger league even if that bigger league. Is you know a second division team in europe or something like that. Not phoenix resigned him. Inex- paid the money to eat them. you know you don't really see that because by comparison tyler pasher who played with Indy just went to mls this year. I think he's with nashville. This year. So you know like the. That's the difference is that phoenix is actual actually spending low end. Mls money on players. Only anybody else in the us ellas phoenix on. So let me let me make sure understanding this right marcus. I think this is instructive. 'cause i think the last time rapids fans were thinking about phoenix. Rising was when mike defiance went there from the from the rapids. So phoenix rising is. They have So where louisville. I feel like mark has been a team that just signs veteran. Ussl guys and just has that group you know that are just they're never going to make its amylase. That phone call is never going to happen and he has been opened assigning guys who eventually move on but they are they. They are picking up players who then have had options. Lower division options in europe had options in mls and then they will make coulter from a chance to win standpoint and from a money standpoint their teams who are players who are turning down other opportunities. Go or resign with inex- whereas the guys who won back to vacuous l. championships with louisville. Like the best thing that they're gonna get is the league minimum and a one year with a team option that they're probably going to get cut and they're not gonna play at all at the. Mls t i mean your question is is a critique. I think it's a legitimate one because but because us all contracts are completely opaque will never know the answer to that question so the players that matt's talking about louisville they may have to match point than resigned because they They know that it's not gonna get any better at another league team They feel like you know. Sixty five thousand for the year is the best they can do. Better might also be like what i set. Which is that those philly those Venus players are really getting decent size contracts Real almost mls level money. And so they're hanging onto him for that mark. Would you say in that that. This is a healthy environment for jeremy. Kelly grow in. If andrei rawls was going to be anywhere that at least this is a this is a place yes or no. Is this a healthy environment. Are you excited to see what this could mean in terms of both of these players growing and then being in a better position to help the rabbits winning twenty twenty two for german kelly. It's the best option i mean. I think jeremy kelly will almost certainly get time there. Even if he's not the best full-back on the roster he'll get a lot of opportunity to play for sure. I'm less certain about what it means for. Andrei rawls Although they're they're not real deep at goalkeeper They have two other players at goalkeeper. Landon carter who. I don't know much about anzac. Lou been Zac lubin does have a really nice background. he has he's the he's the presumptive starter for them Forty seven starts between two thousand eighteen and now And he even did a brief loan stint with the seattle sounders so he's easel legit. I second here goalkeeper Who is thirty one years old and likely to be helpful as it mentor to rawls. The other guy's name didn't ring a bell in any way shape or form so navy role slots right in there as the number two which would be fairly valuable but that being said. Us those need start. June matt and they're likely to play a right Some teams are playing in. Some games are happening in. May the official beginning start. Time was announced as like mid april but most of for teams first game. They gave the team wide. Latitude has to win the start and most of the team's pushed their start dates back as far as they could so i think the river islands first game is going to be may fifteenth and their season opener at home is june six and the reason that those dates are so late is because they wanted to wait until more and more and more people are vaccinated which makes it more and more and more likely that they get People turning revenue at the game. Because he wasn't making any money on television whereas mls is making at least some money on mark yes or no will. So let's we're gonna assume again keegan rosen. Starting right back in play. The overwhelming majority of games for the colorado rapids is sebastian and wilson fashion anderson. Be the player with the second most minutes at right back to colorado rapids this year. Who that is such an interesting question. No i think sebastian's it gets loaned out. I don't think he plays a minute. That's that's while we speculative. What do you think that if that happens. Mark i think do b. c. A do we see a reprise of courtney ford conservative right back that we saw twenty nine. I think is a really interesting question. One question that we got cut folks that we will get to on is the rapids. Six centrebacks. I think it's unlikely that were of them. Will get a regular run out and the likely and its unless grew more is extremely hurt. At which point you know that's probably an indication that this will be his final year playing professionally. Those fifth and sixth spot from the depth chart are probably going to be two of the three young players off trustee or any four. Who's now back from injury. And then michael edwards who he spoke to on the last podcast and so i wonder you know does. Is that guy. Happy only getting or hundred minutes bit are playing and is that six guy even getting minutes. And so i wonder mark. That was corny. Ford was okay with twenty nineteen. We this podcast were counted. The many failings of players at the right back position you know could or could we see the colorado rapids go to three at the back we saw. Egan rosen vary at times you one of those rights centrebacks when they've gone to three at the back end then to the rapids than just commit in terms of going forward standpoint you know is the sam vines become what alexander. Benjamin mendy have been from a formation in the tactic sample or liverpool manchester city. Where the fullback bombs or and then in possession the rapids goatee. Read the back to the point. Where having rosenbergs back backup. He were of a conservative outside back. And then when sam vines has gone you have stephen beta.

"It'll be priced at a cost a nominally so you know stockpiling players at positions. It feels weird because you're like well there's no room where's that guy going to play. We have so many other guys but ultimately it's it's probably a good move and i do think that in terms of the rapids depth chart. If you go down to the us level. I don't really know whether there's any kind of ready midfielders to kind of step up into the position we'll go to one of several ask h h. L's we have from jair. Thornburgh marks will start on the spreadsheet that you have more busted out former draft picks. Where are they now hashtag ask. Hgh shell oh my god so much fun so anytime anyone ask me a where are they now question with any colorado rapid. I don't know why. I mean i think matinee. I did something that will never see the light of day when we were working on the Two thousand ten series about when the rapids one analyst cup. Which was we watched a game together and we pretended like we were calling the game and my my favorite thing to do in a situation where i'm calling a game. We did this. Also you know with some other games. That jared actually provided the video for pretty sure. So thank you. Jared but My favorite thing to do as the color commentator on these these games is fun facts you know where so and so is now So that's like everything. So i went back all the way to the twenty fifteen drafts to look at where players have been. I won't go through every single player. 'cause they're kind of boring but you know the kind of where are they now so in twenty twenty one the rapids drafted philip mayekar. E is currently on a plane on his way to colorado's in twenty twenty. The is drafted. Jeremy kelly actually technically montreal drafted them And other app it's picked up and a guy by the name of robin often the funada from Virginia off. The did not find with the rapids did not sign with any genius. Use the second round pick Number thirty seven and he's only one of two players who i failed to find any information.

"I'm your host. george rita's. I want 'em sizable opinion expressing the show on my own and not my president pass employers. I never disclosed any sensitive intelligence that i've been proven results in my current employment and never not disclose any classified information related to any security clearances. A prison hold or have held in the past the united states government. And nothing i say during. This show should be construed as legal or financial advice. So i gotta tell you we've been having some pretty smart people this show lately and The show's really really doing well. Thank you for listening. And tonight's going to be no different this evening. We're going to have jeremy kelly on the show with us. Jeremy serves as the chief scientist for exodus intelligence and in this capacity over there at exodus he leads both the research and engineering efforts for the company He's been doing this for twenty years and at one point or another during his career he also served as the founding member of the ibm security. Intelligence group saw some our an analyst for cert- working with federal law enforcement on a regular basis and the chief data scientist for hp e. Insecurity services is also the director of threat engineering carbon black and you know who that company is in when he was over there. He was guarding. All the efforts of all the data engineering detection capabilities for infrastructure assembled to protect millions of points millions of points. So lots of talk to jeremy about this evening. He's got great experience as a practitioner. That's why we like to have him on the show and it's going to be a great show folks. Listen all the way through. Jeremy welcomed the task force seven radio. Hey thanks george. Great to be. Hey so i want to kick off with the biggest story and you know and that's solar winds. I mean originally. It was fireeye and quite frankly. I think that fireeye deserves a lot. More respect from the industry that they've been that they've received And i think. I might even do a show on that. If i have some time but just on that alone but now it's it's really shifted to. Hey you know. Fire is the one who found problem right there. They're the smart. They're the ones who actually figured this out. Let everybody know about it. And it's it's just blown up to be a huge huge. Probably national security council being assembled in the white house on a regular basis Solar winds solar winds has proven to be The way that The the bad guys Whoever they may be we suspected it's you know the russians in a bt twenty nine. I think it is Who have basically piggybacked off surly wednesday into all these federal agencies. So i gotta ask you right out of the gate. What are your thoughts about this. What's going on. Yeah that is so yeah. Let's have a short conversation right It's huge we all know this right. We have in my career like you said twenty years. I've got more gray hair than i'm comfortable with. But i've seen these kind of moments throughout the security industry where you know. Probably the shift ransomware. It was a big one right and we had. We had the shift to organized crime from the play back in the early two thousands where the worms became a way less fun to remediate and way more targeted right. The malware just got more active. Solar winds to me feels lake. Oh i hate to say this. It's not a winds of change guide to moment but it feels like it is a moment that we will look back on in our industry of trying to protect critical infrastructure. Say that's where things changed again in particular to your point. Kudos to fire. I for for crying wolf for sharing detection capabilities on what they were willing to share. And i think that we're just at the tip of the iceberg on how bad this is. I think this is the timing was very strategic on the actors part cozy bear as you put it right the potentially the russian when we're not sure yet but i think the timing was was very strategic. They knew people were winding down for the year. They knew that that Folks are trying to get pto in so they. They hacked the hr game right which i've seen year over year over year. That's when insidious things happen at the really big organizations because at the end of the day were people trying to protect assets and so i think as january february rolls around after the holidays. The number of compromise organizations is just gonna grow and we're gonna get almost desensitized to how big this is gaza. Is there any danger to the companies with Some of the tools that were stolen from fireeye today there how much how big is the concern. I should say over what was taken from. Firearms can be used against you. Know companies netted states. Yeah i don't. I personally don't think so they. They've done a really good job of of releasing detection signatures yar and whatnot and most of everything. I've heard there is It was open source in nature. And you don't want interesting bullet point on this actually now that you bring it up if you look at what. Fire the the tooling. That firearm released the targets that their tooling was targeting and the warning that came out. What was it early. October from the nsa. Just the list of cbs's that enterprises needed to patch the overlap. There was pretty high. And so what fire is tooling was targeting. The tooling that got that got taken it was targeting known breaches really. They were not using zero days in that capacity and the tooling that released was not targeting zero days. So i'm not to beat up or worried about the tooling that got leaked from fireeye. So one of the big questions going around right now as you know. What is this the equivalent to back in the day. Is this like you know. I heard one politician gone on the tv the other day. Say who because it doesn't matter. But i guess the discussion was. This is like the equivalent of russian bombers flying over. You know central united states. You know on just flying through undetected. I i'm not sure that that's that's you know. I'm not sure if. I'm not sure. But i think the conversation is. What do we do about this. Where do we draw the line right. Okay so i've gotta i've gotta take. This is not a read on moment. They're not rolling up the borders. And we're not holding ak47's on a hilltop on the hills yelling wolverines. That's not this what this is is. This is the accepted awareness of something that has been happening for four years and years and years. This to me is just the most brazen and publicly discussed and acknowledged efforts by an actor of this caliber The if i try and think back to what this may relate to there's Gosh it was probably twenty in. I would have to guess and There's go your your listeners. Can google this but there was an effort by the fbi. I believe it was known as titan rain and this was an old effort to try and.

"The first the last forty five It's one jeremy. Kelly would be another good one. I mean i can go up and down the roster but like this is the place where you probably want to plug in some of these guys that that Have some minutes even if we wanna win this game. The honest truth. Matt is probably for the best to be realistic and say. Let's give the young boxing a chance. You know let's let's not. Let's not overstate the importance of this game. Yes it'd be nice to win. But a loss fine suit technically. We're going to plus. Yeah no i think. That's well taken mark does. This is definitely robin. Hasn't really been using all five of his substitutes. But i think this is definitely a game in which we could see that happen on. I would not expect on data rubio to play on ninety minutes. I would not expect cole. Bassett play all ninety minutes and the other big concern that you have. Mark is jack price and laws boubacar. Both on yellowcard warnings. So if they get if they get one more yellow card they will will have to serve a suspension. So in that. I kinda think you know. Give calling warner run out honestly or i would you know. Have you know if jack price starts. And he's wearing the captain's armband and it's one nil colorado at halftime. I think you probably stop him off to be honest. And i'd say i agree with you that i do not think it'll be gaining wilson and lawless boubacar starting at back for the rapids on sunday on the goes to have been on the favourite pairing And so i think we'll see we'll see a little bit of squatter Will i think we'll see all five substitutions and i don't wanna read too much into it because there was a bit of a knock for william yarborough where he had to get a visit from the trainer in stoppage time against portland the other night. I asked robyn about that post game. He said didn't look too serious. He was moving around. But you know we'll see but immediately it wasn't. Oh god are starting goalkeepers out wouldn't be shocked one way or the other If clint irwin ultimately ends up starting in this game and plays the full ninety minutes just in case. So i think that's something to for but i think definitely the biggest thing for me folks if you see losses starting to see jack christ is starting to set up your rapid shrine and you know make a make a little prayer to make sure that lawless jack don't get you know a stupid yellowcard because then that would suspend them for the opening playoff game..

"You know, whether it's if I'm going to play on the wing, you know, I'm trying to figure out every single position because every team is different wage. Play your styles of different as well. And so I don't want to come here and say hey, this is just the way I play. You know, you you don't adjust to me. I have to just you guys and so I'm still trying to figure that part out and watching as much as game tape as I can and you know getting real familiar with the guys around me and their Tendencies and uh, you know, once you can really figure that out. I think Thursday is better for it. So, yeah, I think the the Rapids have done a very very good job in terms of bringing in some older veteran players who can not only contribute but can also provide mentorship a competition to some of the younger players. I look at Drew for example with an Austin trustee and a loss of boubacar a little bit what's going on with Keegan Rosenberry who's still relatively young in his career, but certainly more veteran then Jeremy Kelly and so I'm wondering what relationship and what opinions you initially have of your times working alongside Sam finds and training. Yeah, you know those authors All those guys you mentioned are great people and it goes back to your earlier question about the character and the type of people that are you know, that Robin has brought in and you know that are your teammate so long, you know, all those guys are fantastic people.

"We are 12th half begins now hears the voice of the quakes. Welcome back to Earth Quake Stadium. Everyone as we are. In halftime mode, still waiting the starts. Of the second half. Of course, One of the unforeseen issues of the first half was the fact that Danny Hussen left a match with an injury. He was one of the many changes That was made to this light up wand Allow ski Hussen, Selina's Lopez, all a niece and Marie, all among the changes that were made to this lineup. So who said, we only got to see about 30 ish minutes of him? For he went out with an injury replaced by Andy Rios. It was his groin. As we take a look at the benches for both these teams. J. T. Marcinkowski is the backup keeper for San Jose Groom Coscia, Nikolay, Tommy Thompson and Tanner Beast in the back of defenders. Back of mid fielders are Vasco and Cal. Vo and forwards are Cal now and any Rios of obviously was on the bench to start this game. The rapids or wins the backup keeper. Drew Mohr, Austin, Trusty Declan Win. Jeremy Kelly, Jack Price, Jonathan Lewis, Brain Galvan and Chi Camara. As we get ready, we will see if there's any substitution is that are made by either side going into this second half. I'll tell you right off the bat that every team needs a strong game plan. Whether you're on the pitcher preparing for an emergency. If there's one thing the last few months have taught us Is that we all need to stay prepared. That's why PG any and the earthquakes want you to get your team ready by creating an emergency plan for your family, so you can be prepared in the event of an earthquake or any other emergency. Your family may face..

"Is Going to be Austin trustee, and then where's your center? At that point, it's declan. Win and Danny Wilson off the bench. You know court. Ford's obviously out available. So one of those those guys go down. You're spreading yourself thin. My plan your three really good setbacks so I think it's you put Jeremy Kelly. There I think we're GONNA. have to see some tinkering. Tinkering some of the personnel assignments to where somebody's asked to do a job on the wing in the four three three like you mentioned. Maybe that's Benazir. She not being played on their off wing, just being asked to do a job and do something that's uncomfortable, but maybe helps Jeremy Kelly grow into the but I think there's enough people in there and there's enough preparation. Preparation because even mind. We're just finding this out. In the last couple of days, Mark Robin Frazier in the coaching, staff and everybody. They knew about this back on June twenty, fourth twenty six, so they've had to have had a contingency plan. We don't necessarily know what it is. I think the big question mark here is the two players who tested positive on Sunday. Like there's a question about whether or not, those tests were faultier, not if they're able to clear to the point, where from the protocol, they get confirmed that the positive tests on Sunday were Bosh. When can they get in Orlando? It can they be fit enough to where they're available for selection? Obviously, don't know those players needs so maybe we're talking a moot point right now. Mark because it's Andrea. She needs she nicholas Benazir at this point. Gal made me making his debut. and maybe the rats have to wait from the four three three, because none of their winger are available. This is a lot of speculation mark. We try not to be super speculative on this show anything else. Or shall we head to the actual first rapids, matching four frigging months I'm looking at sandwich gate of going back to Sandwich Gate which was that Emma mls players who are inside the bubble got these sandwiches. On for the first day, they were in inside quarantine for twelve hours before they were allowed out of their rooms to go to the dining hall, and the sandwiches were apparently charged to them at sixty five dollars a piece, but now I'm looking on twitter and seeing that NBA players are now tweeting out there dinners from their NBA bubble and mass hugh. It looks like an airline dinner on a cut rate airline. It is absolutely like tiny, tiny, little plastic balls of nothing and some poof up. Look, Parmesan garlic! It's pretty embarrassing. You could be multimillionaire and you could be expected. Eat a couple of pieces of. Cut Up Watermelon, a dinner roll and some Parmesan garlic chips as your actual dinner. It's it's shameful sandwich. Gate Continues Matthew. Sandwich Gate continues. Let's roll on. Have we gotten like so is that is the club comping that or is like? It's one thing for like the. To have to charge that refuse talking sixty five dollars for lunch. I think it was forty five dollars for breakfast like it's over the three meals room. Service in your room is well over one hundred dollars and for a league. Yeah, it was forty, five, sixty, five, seventy, five for the three males, and so my understanding is. It was a I was told. Ice speculated, and someone said I think that's correct. That the team picks it up either as straight up there taking up room, service charges or that it's that it's basically it takes your per diem so all all mls contracts come with your salary, and then also what's called the per diem, which means the how much you get paid on the road for food for each of your three meals as long as you're away, my understanding is the MLS per diem is either exactly the amount that those meals cost or close to the amount that those meals costs, but the players are not going to be put out for it, but yes. All that being said sixty dollars for a sandwich at a piece of fruit is a ripple. And the little thing of I think it was some chopped up like grilled details, but in any case the I agree with you mark that is, that is still absolutely ridiculous like I. I mean if we're if we're not GONNA have a secure bubble all then like. Let's at least allow some post major sugery. It's like High Mars gotta get some Polish inside. The bubble mark rapids. Rapids are going to win this tournament. Ought you're telling me? Kamara has to go six weeks without to portray. This is ridiculous S., N. wfl brought in a coffee. Truck like yesterday because everybody was complaining, they couldn't get good coffee so they they like rented a copy truck to come in and pour the the the women gourmet coffee in the morning. So those are the those are the instagram pictures I wanna see I wanna see somebody having a spoiled pampered trip to someplace else since basically the rest of us can't get spoiled and pampered anywhere like me and my family. We basically were we we. We went to the grocery store. We bought food. We made food for ourselves. We like we ate a meal or to take out in the parking lot and other than that. It was a heck of a lot of drive through. You know like we. We owe today. The highlight of my day I ate it at Burger King for the first time in like a decade at least a decade because I'm basically a functioning keeping since I keep kosher. Like a functioning deterioration, but burger king now has the ultimate Walker, so I stopped off at Burger came to get French fries for the kids, and they had the ultimate Walker which is which is the ultimate Burger since the ultimate impossible impossible impossible rights plant base. It's not it's. It's not me so I had a walker today. Matt I had walkers the first time in like twenty years. I've had a walker and damn. Those are good I. Mean I forgot? How nice the pickles and ketchup and the and the cheese lettuce mixes together so good so by the way this is the important part of this podcast. Nothing else said. Significant, but by the way Burger King would like to sponsor us. We are available. Lindsey Karan if you did not turn off his podcast from the last two minutes of mark talking about Burger King, please instagram or send us you know, get us the premium roast coffee from the Utah and of USSL Soccer House. "Abraham Rodriguez who has I believe a lot of potential but is obviously you know probably GONNA be challenged to be a backup at times with US cell so this is a good move in terms of competition. This is an insurance move in terms of the fitness and injury potential for your goalkeeper. But I kind of agree with you market. At some point we ride rapids book. I feel like we should have a whole chapter on just the backup goalie with a lot of potential just needs to be put in the right situation to be equality. Amela starter and the rapid just being like no. We're GONNA make life way harder for you because they've done that. Was that math. And they've done that with Clint Irwin twice now and I I I feel for the guy certainly but we'll see whether or not this happens. You know I have pretty good confidence that this is a signing. That is going to happen even if it's not urgent maybe the time that you all listen to this You know certainly by Friday. The sixth of March Maybe this is already old news. Let's get to the only news that really matters mark. I got back from the team Harvey about an hour ago and the rapids officially unveiled. It is confirmed. Rapid man is returning to the clothes. We didn't pull on this. It was something like ninety. Three percent apparently several percent of rapids twitter on absolutely hated fun. But the rest of you. This is nothing but a good story. And furthermore mark I mean is rapid man. Starting on Saturday house is not the biggest signing of the off season if he was starting. Does he start at. Stryker is the number ten is he like a speedy winger is. He's is he you know the goalkeeper. I don't know man that's pretty big glove. So plot twists. Maybe the rapids have five goals on the roster. Now also Kinda Yoke Dowd. Like he's very very muscular. Very muscle lean muscle bound muscle had easy muscle. So Yeah No. It's it's exciting. And I think I wonder people have been joking in clamoring about this in the MLS nerd and pundit circles for years. I kind of wonder whether the novelty will suddenly immediately evaporate. Also let's four one out for poor Edson The Eagle the former mascot of a car. And then all of his friends like the Fox in the buffalo in all of whom who've been gone basically my entire life like when I had I was bringing my little little kids to the GP in two thousand thirteen and I saw that their ads for like. Oh there's four mascots that's so cool I can't wait to meet them and then never not once. Did I ever see I think they? I think the the rapids decided that paying the money for four people to wear costumes in the in the June heat in in Commerce City was just insane and it wasn't worth it so Yeah no I I I'm excited about rapid man. I do WANNA put down a marker. I want to be the first person to go on record saying in five or ten years you'll see me. Writing op-ed pieces are clamoring on twitter. Bring Back Ed's in the Eagle you know just because I really like. I really liked stirring the pot yet. It's good news it's really. It's it's it's what the people want to see what the people want. He have any fun. Memories of Rapid Matt is rapid masterpiece of early. Mls kitchen that you just can't That was before your time or are you are you. Do you have any memories of of rapid man? I remember him and I remember just not really understanding what he was like his head like. It's Kinda like a wave so as like an entity of like sentient water. For example you know are there rocks and they're like how like what is rapid man's origin story whereas like it's pretty obvious like COSMO's alien visited Los Angeles and then decided to become a galaxy fan. You know the noon Revolution Have Fox. The Houston Dynamo have a Fox. You know most of the mascots. The exist generally within sports. It's pretty obvious what they are. You know you've got miles. Who's you know the Bronco for the broncos got digger the dinosaur for for the Colorado rockies for example then there's like this whole other category of like ambiguous Anthropomorphic Mushy. Things that on one extreme. You know we probably have like the philly fanatic in grief for example on the other end you know you have like the just. I can't remember his name. He's the orange blob thing that used to be the Montreal Expos Mascot and then now. He's the Canadians Mascot. He sometimes shows up to impact games as well until like rapid man's just kind of in that steam of like not an animal not a thing not an actual person like what is he ought fully understand him but in that that makes them weird and bizarre and unyielding but in that I romanticized nostalgia of that. We're yeah right when I was a kid. In the nineteen ninety. Six Atlanta Olympics unveiled their mascot. And it was a Blob with some rings in it and it was called. What is it that was the name of the Mascot and I was like? That's a bad idea. But you know it's kind of a charming thing to have like a enterpreneur More fix super bizarre. Weird thing I'm trying to think of. There's an English club that has like this really weird avant-garde son that looks really strange They're in line with West Brom. It's not it's not that it's something it's something else it's like it's like a piece of art. It's almost that like avant-garde weird but anyway it's it's a thing we're excited. Seven minutes bizarre. I was disturbed in initially finding out his experience. As I've gotten to see him and know about history and everything I'm just endeared him further anything it's an absolutely fantastic gesture. It shows a lot for in bringing him back. I think it shows a lot of self awareness and understanding of something that the fan base wanted to buy the rapids ordering him back and going along with you. Know the since ninety six kit and you know all of the retro celebrations for the Silver Anniversary is the twenty-fifth years mark. I think it's ten silvers twenty-five okay in any case in celebration of the twenty fifth year of the League in the club. I think it's absolutely fantastic to have back and I cannot wait to run into rapid man on Saturday for the home opener. Let's talk about some signing news mark. The rapids had a press conference yesterday. At time of recording to formally introduce introduced homegrown on a Rodriguez goalkeeper will a midfielder. Jeremy Kelly draft pick who we knew had just signed with the club to formally introduce them to the fan base. Also have immediate media. Availibility will get to this a little bit folks. But I've had the opportunity to go train a couple of times. I've Seen Jeremy Kelly in action so mark officially we have Abe Rodriguez starting signing a goalkeeper presumably will get a significant amount of time with the Colorado Springs switch. Facts will vent as well kind of has an interesting story. It's not similar to any other rapids homegrown players. And then obviously Jeremy Kelly another good bit of business by the scouting team for the rapids and finding a college player moving and not giving up a whole lot of assets to get a high enough traffic in order to get him. And then signing him at a position to mark your general thoughts all three of those players signing and just the progression of the youth movement towards the Colorado Springs area in the form of these two new home grounds who probably be getting a thousand plus minutes for the Acelle Championship side. While I only update my my Academy player Roster Spreadsheet thingy Like a couple times a year and usually I do it in the in like December and in February when I'm super bored and I'm really craving some soccer and I'm like Let me get back to that project and I remember when I last filled it out I had to add will vint and when I last filled it out. I'm talking like a month ago and the reason is will vent wasn't with the Colorado Rapids Academy until the fall of twenty one thousand nine and that's because he was with Atlanta united he moved back to Colorado. They either cut him or he wasn't happy with the training. I don't know the story but he moved with his family back to Colorado. He's a birth year two thousand one. So I don't know if he graduated high school or whether he is a senior in high school could go either way but he is He should be e- should have graduated if if all things hold up but but yeah he only has played five games for the rapids. Usda you'd He started three of those games. He started in midfield. I don't really know where he projects typically if you're a really talented midfielder central midfielder And you're signed as a young player you have to be ready to play on the wing Because often those more talented players those more experienced players are going to be on the inside. So I think we're we can expect to see we'll get some time down in Colorado Springs. I'm interested that. They thought he was good enough that they should sign him now and not send him to college so I think that's interesting Abe Rodriguez is a is a great signing. He's a two thousand two so Birth Year two thousand two so that means he also is either a senior in high school this year or just graduated probably senior. High School Locking him up just means that he won't go off to college. They will keep him down on the farm and letting them learn how to play the role And then the last one you know you should tell us about Jeremy Kelly because He came out of college. And I don't really I never got to see imply so Why don't you tell us a little bit of what you know From training what you've seen Jeremy. Kelly yeah Before we get to that market WANNA spend one more bit on will vince on. He was Atlanta's sue in the US last year. Did you get a chance to see him when he played the When Atlanta to play the river hounds at all I I remember I mean they. I was that that game but I don't remember will vince at all so That that implies to me that either. He didn't play or he did play. He wasn't exceptional. I remember I remember that Atlanta to game. I remember being really zoned in on a couple of the more known stars on Atlanta too But I don't remember. I don't remember if he played. But I'll look it up while you're while you're telling us about Jeremy Kelly but he didn't make an impression on me and a K. It's every once in a while. I'll watch cell game and I'll see some guy on the field and I'll be like. Wow that guys impressive. Like if you look back There was a guy who just got drafted who his name is Bruno. Lapa and he. He's going to think Birmingham Legion in the US L. and he was the most impressive midfielder. I saw in the ACC this year. He was a dribbling number ten out of out of Brazil and I watched a game in person and I was like wow. That's the guy You never know like different. Guile jump out every game so I tell me more about Jeremy Kelly. I'm really quiet. Goes about his business kind of no nonsense player. spoken with a couple of people from the organization and said that he's really really really high soccer high Q. For A guy who's coming out of college playing for years mark not a superlative athleticism he's not gonNA blaze by with any any sort of speed but he thinks the game really quickly. He makes a lot of really really smart decisions Robin Fraser complimented on Him..

"Let's remove Jeremy Kelly here who do you think is the next most likely to get a first contract and then just straight up. Does Poku make the team or are not good question so Kelly makes the team and then abroad probably makes the team. And then you've basically really got in my estimation maybe a spot for one more player If I were gonNA give that last fought to somebody I would give it to will. Then I think that that going with a younger player who you'll give four hundred and six hundred minutes to probably makes more sense But if the rapids just think that like will vince. Not Ready yet than POCOS got shot. I mean he's got an even shot at this at this roster. All those other guys are basically getting videotape to be sent to other teams. What do you think that I guess my one concern with Poku is I just with what the system that the rapids are likely to run the season. I'm I'm not really sure where he fits in all the places that I'm coming up or plausible roles for him are already in positions of strength. You know he had a little bit of wide play at NYC. I see if they've already just signed a young as a winger. They don't need another wingers necessarily see that so. I Guess Migrate or question that I'd have. I need to be an in order to answer your question. I would need to be informed by asking straight up Robin Fraser. What do you see Pocos best position in your system right now? What do do you see? What are his skill sets that you think are value that are paying point for you right now that you think Poku could fill and then based on that? That would inform my decision but I also think just with his age you know. He's born in one thousand nine hundred two. So he's in the latter part of his career. All of these other guys are let me. Just look through Brian. Lopez was born in one thousand nine hundred ninety I guess. Jeremy Kelly's ninety seven as off Amaafuza. Everybody else's younger than that. So if you're looking at you know we could get a contract option to quad. Poku you and right now. This is probably the best that he's GonNa be. After he gets acclimated to altitude whereas we could sign woven we could loenen downhill switchback and we could give of whom three or four years to get to the point where he could be a productive first team player. You know with all these other guys. They're so young than if you sign them or loan them out or get them a US L. Audio with is on bringing them back in camp next year you're investing for the future pocos a here and now signing and just think that maybe the rapids are thinking a little bit more long-term with all of their other signings. I think Jeremy Kelly makes the team. I think one other guy makes the team. I'll say at least two of these players. Not Named Abe. Rodriguez will be in a switchback shirt. I'll say for at least a third of the season next year. Are this year so I think for me right now. I'm more looking at I was was one of these players. I'm doing everything I can to impress the rapids but Alan Koch shows up at any point. I want to make sure to introduce myself to him. Have a firm handshake and look in the eye and make it should make sure that he saw me and training and that he saw me playing well against demos competition. Let's move onto our last thing for tonight. Mark we have an email and ask. Hgh L. E. Mail from David and he says greetings fellas the rapids have depth. The rapids have competition at almost every position. Colorado has flexibility open parentheses seemingly except maybe at the number six closed rent the sees. The kids are finally out of the contract. Mess of previous years. Smith seems to have learned the lessons of the past open parentheses long had contracts for aging vets no more exclamation close parentheses. Do you have any remaining contracts that could act as weight also dead weight on the rapids. Future Growth Heap kicking tail. I'm assuming he saying Matt to us and maybe also the rapids but in any case mark on we haven't ask H.. T. H. L.. That is rooted in contract and long-term player evaluation action and asset management. And whenever we have one of those questions we've got spreadsheets for days to answer it's spreadsheet nerds unite. There's so many we actually actually have a small subgroup of actual mls spreadsheets Kara rapid spreadsheet nerds. So shout out to all my other fellow spreadsheet nerds Joe Jones Renske is one. She keeps a master spreadsheet of every rapids player. And every kit number they've ever Had and then I think we've got one of the spreadsheet nerd and also trying to remember who it is all right. Here's the contracts that expire at the end have twenty twenty. It's kyw Kamara. Danny Wilson. Declan Win Sam Nicholson drew. More court floored Nikki. Jackson Jackson Andrei Shaky. Those are all as at least. According to my math confirmed there are a couple of players who have longish rush contracts Giga Rubio and Keith Rosenberg are both signed through twenty twenty And then everybody else. Oh and Sebastian Agent Anderson is signed through twenty twenty three mad mad Hundley assigned through two thousand twenty two so those are the longer term contracts. It's everybody else is basically expiring either in Twenty Twenty one or we don't really know so basically our players who are expiring spiring soon are the older players as you would expect or hope them to be Kaikoura. WHO's thirty five more dirty six are players who have Long Long contracts are also getting paid much So Giga Rubio's contract. He makes three fifty three three. The three thousand A year he can rosa very makes one hundred sixty four thousand hundred sixty five thousand a year and then You don't really have any long wadey terrible contracts Sebastian Anderson is currently. We're last year. He made eighty one thousand dollars. Mad Humbly made ninety eight thousand dollars last year so you don't really have any like devastating expensive contracts. We don't know how much unit is. We know we only have him for two years as as of right now though. So if it's terrible deal at least it's only a two year deal so there's honestly I mean. I feel bad that I don't have anything to complain about. We've been complaining about long-term poorly structured extremely expensive rapids contracts for years. You know it. It was only one year ago that Colorado was releasing Skelton Gashi and eating in one point seven million dollars contract. It was only one year ago that everyone was banging their heads against the wall. Because Tim Howard was making two point three million dollars two point four million dollars to play at the at really an mls average level of goalkeeper We I don't have anything like that anymore. You know we we have. DP's who we don't even know how much they make in the estimates that they're gonNA make around. I think the estimate. What is the name? Leanne Galvan are both gonna come in about one. One point five million. They're not they're not going to break the bank and their contracts aren't aren't very long and Galvin. Is I think a loan right. He's a two year loan deal notice. Nominally WHO's the two year loan. So what's Galvin's Length of contract is there nothing As I have nothing so we don't have any. We don't have any information I I understand. WE'RE NOT GONNA get it for the first half because of course the again assuming the gets renewed and everything. The doesn't release salary. Figures in May for the first half yes and we don't get the information for guys sign in the summer and and so usually mid to late September so we might not have a data point for Gallivan until after he's a climate is to altitude. There's three players we don't know their contract length Well there's a couple of more than three but there's three important ones Clint Irwin Lalas Abu Bakar and Nicholas We don't really know the length of their deal so those are important things to find out. We also don't know how much the rapids paid for Benazir. He made six hundred thousand dollars last year with me needs of Tam Level Player But Not by much like seventy thousand. Tim We don't really know What what the deal L. is for him This year and we don't know Abobo cars contract either so those are interesting but they don't necessarily mean anything. They're both young players both good players as you know. I don't think anybody's GonNa Complain If you pay a little bit too much Spend one year longer than you'd ideally. WanNa go honestly you know I wish I wish I. I should've said this quicker which is basically like everyone's pretty good man. I mean everything looks looks pretty good. I hate to say that because I think I'm cursing us but man I I don't see anything wrong with this roster the way it's currently constructed if you've got any bad contracts at least Short you got any expensive players. They're probably done at the end of this year. Yeah so a few things mark I say just with nominee and Galvante and I'll I'll throw Benazir and there's well just that. I think it would be irresponsible. Both most of US journalistically to speculate on that contract to know whether or not it's a good deal or a bad deal. Obviously my kind of concern with Ben is as just that he was brought in and it was six hundred and fifty thousand dollars. USD as a Tam player last year. And then you know was him not coming back to Toronto a function of money and that he he wanted to get paid a little bit more. So that's maybe the one area where the error bars that I have on the three unknowns from contract standpoint Benhas. Ai Probably have the biggest disturbers and just the area of concern because that's relatively unknown. You know we know that the rapids. We're GONNA come in and splash a little bit more money from a salary standpoint on that DP the number ten and so that was money that was already planned for earmarked for nominally so assuming they're not paying one point six five million dollars in this getting another skeleton. Gosh that's money that we knew the rapids were spending that they wanted to spend and need to spend for that position. And so I'm not gonNA say anything more about that until we actually know what the number is and we actually see. See something from nominally wearing burgundy and blue so. I've kind of got three other players that I want to look at her. I guess nominally Benzon Galvano and one of those the next one and you kind of already alluded them. Mark Are Kamara drew. More and Danny Wilson. I'm GONNA say because all three of these players are over. The age of thirty father time time is still undefeated and inevitably as we kind of saw with Bradley Wright Phillips last year there's going to come a point where these guys are potentially going to drop off and it could be unsuspecting suspect it could be a unanticipated in terms of their productive at one age and then just something happens or an injury comes up and they become extremely unproductive or they get hurt and they're not healthier. I can't stay fit or they can't keep up with the younger players. I'm in no way saying that that is what's going to happen to any of these three players. I'm just saying that after ages. It is right right now. More likely than it's ever been and it is only going to get more likely as the season goes on and as this next year goes on kyw Chimera kyw Kamara is on the second year of his two year deal rapids will potentially have a decision to make on him at the end of off season so if something bad happens to for example no sweat they can just you know not renew that contract drew more was signed as a free agent on one year deals well so similarly they'll have an option to make a decision there and correct me if I'm wrong mark. This is the last year of Danny Wilson's guaranteed not contract any as a team option for twenty twenty one. That's right He is I mean you may have been lumping him in but you did mention that. He was Maybe declining getting in and over thirty. He's not over thirty. He's definitely declining or at least declined. Did my number says Danny Wilson's twenty six but I don't update the the birthdates very often. I think Danny Wilson might be twenty seven so easy easy young man who hasn't played very good soccer recently. Okay so in any case those those are three contracts that are pretty hefty on the number probably that are on aging that are on to aging players albeit proven. MLS US and one guy who I think if I if I if I sent a tweet threat or a tweet poll outright now I said it's anybody mad if the rapids rapids choose not to pick up the option on Danny Wilson and twenty twenty. One I think at least ninety five percent of rapids twitter is going to say yeah. I don't really care that's fine line so my point is is that these are three contracts that are a little bit larger on players who are older than most of the Rosser are starting to get an age where you have to think about age age and payment and paying a guy for what he's going to produce for you now rather than what he's done for you previously these those are all three contracts that if things go south in twenty twenty the rapids don't automatically have on the books for twenty twenty one and they could easily renegotiate either with or with drew more as free agents for a lower level that is commensurate with what they'd be expected to produce in twenty twenty one. So that's my second pot and just the next two that I have and I'm kind of curious about mark Austin untrustworthy was signed to a new deal for the rapids for twenty twenty when he was transferred over. Am I correct in that. You're right I just put the numbers from last year. So he he made one hundred twenty four thousand one hundred dollars in twenty nineteen His deal is through twenty twenty. We know it through twenty in twenty and the suction is that it's through twenty twenty two. I don't know why I know that. But that's okay so in any case. I think I put this in my article where I actually talked what about the two centreback acquisition acquisitions trustee and a Boubacar. Basically as long as Austin trustee isn't making like three hundred fifty K. and isn't able to be a starter here here you know. I mean I was writing the bench for the rapids. And he was what mid two hundreds as well and they just thought that was a a necessary. That's not a big deal in the current state. Eight of the analysts cap so as long as US entrusts. The isn't a Max budget player. I think I'm absolutely fine. And if he's somewhere in the three hundreds and productive.

"He wasn't going to be able to play and he is He's nineteen years old this year. So so I don't know what the odds are that he actually makes a squad. But I think you know getting signed to Colorado Springs contractors is possible the last one I'd Wanna I mentioned just because of how ridiculous it is as Darren Yappy Darren Yappy You know if you google him. The the one of the top five hits he'll get is his profile when he was with the call rapids under twelve team. They have details on him when he was a u twelve grew up in Aurora Laura. Currently I think A. Place for East or doesn't place for East but goes the east high school. He is a ninth grader for East East High School. He would be spy. I think two years the youngest player of the rapids ever signed if they were to bring them up to the senior squad which is another way of saying. There's no way in and half ago bring up to the senior squad but it's an amazing. It'd be amazing story If he did and he kind of came out of nowhere. Because I don't I you know I have a decent spreadsheet on the team and he wasn't really on my radar at all because he's so young So that's that's a little bit of the background in these guys. I think of all the guys I mentioned then probably has the best chance of getting signed to the senior team. Matt what do you. What do you have to tell us about abroad or any other players that you see out of the trial is list? Yeah I've had a number of conversations with people within the organization both with direct connections to the Front Office on the First Team coaching staff as well as guys who obviously know about abroad from his time in the Academy of everything that I've heard it hands down. This is the single. The greatest goalkeeping prospect at the rapids Development Academy has ever Tad In terms is working in his preparation to be at the point point whereas seventeen years old he could actually play and play against men obviously with. USSL team had a couple of really really good performances at this point. He's just he's a young guy who the rapids are continually trying to develop. Obviously he's going to have a really good opportunity to play regularly minutes other than you know the couple of spurts that he had before being signed by the switch backs but he's a guy who the rapids are very very high on on but everything that I've heard indicates folks that he will not fill up that third deep thirty P. Roster Snot that third goalkeeper goalkeeper slot that the rapids have vacated right now but he's a guy that the rapids absolutely have their eye on and he very well could be the rapids goalkeeper. The future if he continues to progress. Josh should be able to play regularly at seventeen. Who knows maybe he starting in the US cell by twenty and we could be having a very interesting conversation about Abe Rodriguez at he as he enters? Here's his younger twenties. which is right around the point where we saw guys like Bill Hamid or Andre Blake at a starting chance with their respective the club's level? But I think if there's if there's any guy who is officially still eligible for the Academy in Twenty Twenty Abe. Rodriguez is one of those. I think he's absolutely the Guy that you want to radar in terms of looking at anything. The club comes out in terms of what their academy team is doing. Or if you're just you know pretty regularly Markle Z.. Fans the rapids aren't playing a game at the same time or don't have a home game the exact same night. They'll normally be checking on to see what anybody in the springs is doing. Abe Rodriguez should be highlighted in You know to in what the twenty seventeen yellow row kit like that highlighter of the Colorado flag yellow is. What you want highlighted over Haber? Ham Rodriguez on your rapids. USSL connection Bingo go-cart folks and then all say will. Vince is a guy who the rapids are still pretty high on. I don't know necessarily that. He's got a lot of opportunities with the first team mark but just given he's already played professionally you know. He's kind of had an interesting career in terms of the clubs that he's been out you know he was at the man you academy for a couple years as well getting to play and getting his feet wet professionally with Atlanta united to. I could see him very easily. Maybe knock getting a first team option with the rapids but he plays well enough that you know the rapids throw him. Mm Down to the switch backs and say hey this guy that were high on or you know maybe they signed him to a League minimum and then just loan him down to the switch backs. I think we're going to see more of that this year from the rapids in terms of having guys there fulltime who are on the payroll of the first team in our loan down to the switchback able to actually really be productive and Alan Koch is going to see them as actually useful in ways. That maybe You Know The coaching staff last year. Didn't see or didn't want to give the opportunities to Matt Hundley on Lake or a Sam Robin I'd say Darren Yappiest again just another young guy who you should be keeping an eye on but you know as I said it's still very very raw. This is more for him to get get experience. You know. Get some exposure to playing against professionals may get a couple of tips from a Kellyn Acosta or drew more. But certainly he's still a couple of years years out whereas Abe Rodriguez from developing to speak and develop and actually play professionally and right now. It's can will vince impressed enough such that you know the rapids rapids either. Give him an option or two where he's going to have a pretty good situation setting up in the springs on mark any other comments that we WANNA make already talked about them but the chew rapids draft picks while you were talking. I counted up and right now the rapids have twenty players. Twenty five players signed on the first team roster Galvante when he comes in the summer will be the number twenty six unless something changes drastically in the a dear listeners. You are maxed out at twenty eight roster spots you have the option go to twenty nine and thirty. But that twenty ninth thirtieth player have to be home runs as you are aware the rapids have a number of homegrown so they could easily go to thirty thirty. Might now but if we're just going based on where they've been in the past mark. This team is normally somewhere between twenty five and twenty seven players. So I'm just kinda wondering how many more roster spots they realistically think are on the first team roster and whether or not Jeremy Kelly or autumn food have an opportunity to take one of those there are technically five roster spots available. If you're using all thirty it's been a long time since the rapids of never used all thirty. The reason they have teams. I don't in general. The most teams want twenty eight. I mean you don't you know you know that The only advantage of having thirty is that if you have a season ending injury you don't have to pick someone off waivers or or make a movement year but Galvin's not coming till later so it's likely that they'll fill two or three more spots a number of those spots you know. Basically the way it shakes out his there's twenty spots on what's called the senior roster than there's a supplemental roster reserve roster the reserve roster. You could just give gave over to all year academy kids Whether they play thirty games for you or not They could be stashed on the reserve roster the supplemental rosters a little. More complicated of the rules tend to change every year. A little bit but typically it's not for academy kids it's for kind of Draft picks or or or low cost players But basically I it it looks really clear that like there's two ish certain spots That the rapids are likely to fill maybe three And if you look at these guys who are trying out the rapids clearly needed third goalkeeper. It makes a lot of sense to have a third goalkeeper. WHO's a homegrown who you can stash springs and then bring up when you need them That assumes that Andre Rawls is a consensus backup for the rapids or if they decided to go with Abe rod as their backup biggest stash rawls in Colorado Springs. which are both possibilities? These things say about these guys is I feel like it's almost certain that if the rapids are GonNa do make the effort to make some moves in order. GotTa get Jeremy Kelly in the first round And kind of trade up and around to get him than they're gonNA sign him like I feel like he's almost guaranteed he'd take off is a is a tougher pick. He's at position that the team is already fairly deep at And he's not particularly a highly touted so we'll see I mean he's a left back but I don't I don't know that he has a very good chance of making the final roster. The last thing thing up that I'll comment on that I think is interesting. Is Jacob Hauser Ramsey. It's it's pretty interesting to me. Is the first time I can recall not only for the Colorado rapids but for any team in major league soccer to draft a player. Bring him into camp not sign him then bring him in the next year. Really interesting to me. I've never seen that before You know we have here in Pittsburgh a player who was drafted by the rapids and then didn't get signed signed and had a fantastic year last year Robbie Mertz and I. You know I could see that. I now that I see this is an actual possibility. I find it really fascinating fascinating that that they would try it I don't know that it gives Hausa Ramsey a good clear shot to to playing for the rapid S- next year but it's definitely a tap on the shoulder and say hey we noticed you we think you did a good job and we want you to Because I think one of the the things that happens is that the rapids will take tape And there's a certain amount of courtesy within mls they will tape of their trials in closed-door Eleven Eleven v eleven matches and if a player has a really good time. And they're like yeah. NO WE'RE NOT GONNA sign you but we know that there's another team in mls that's looking for a defender will send tape of you to them and we'll speak highly of you like there's a lot of respect there so that's entirely possible regarding what might happen with Hausa Ramsey Eh. Yeah we could. We could be seeing that right now mark because I don't know if you saw the little news in the press release but Dolan's turn is actually in campus a trial with Seattle sounders right. Yeah so no I hear you on that Mark. I just want to make one clarification there. There is precedent folks that when you draft a player you have their. MLS rights for the next is to season's already following your transfer window so there is a very good possibility that house Ramsey does not make the squad for the rapids. They ended up just accumulating. You know let him train. Let him get fit in everything accumulate the whether it's training or closed-door Eleven v eleven or even scrimmages or preseason games film of Kausar Ramsey petition. That shoe or make that available to other MLS teams or other US L. teams just to get him a contract for twenty twenty to be playing regularly eagerly somewhere and then on January first of twenty twenty one they still own his rights and could sign him to an MLS minimum level. Cakir deal up to the four years with the three option deals on those four as well. So there's a very good possibility. I'd say with Hausa Ramsey. I agree with you that I think anybody anybody from this group of trials right now. Mark is getting a first team contract. It's going to be Jeremy Kelly but so with the draft picks from this year and Hausa Ramsey. All of these guys could could just be in training for the rapids trying to get them a deal or an option in. MLS possibly pitching them to the switchback directly either in the form of a sign in loan or actually assigning them to a US LDL's well then they've got a couple of young Argentines as well who they could be looking similarly at to sign and then loan out for a good deal or just had had them incubate in training and get used to analysts in the League as well but similar Galvan B a signing in twenty twenty really with their eyes on twenty twenty two sue and I think the homegrown Sagana just them really doing their due-diligence with some of their top talent. But I think any one of these guys right now could be auditioning for a future first team spot or at the very least what they do in the next six weeks if they get opportunities to play in a scrimmage that will be recorded is definitely a massive opportunity for then. MD audition with the US L. team with the mind being that the rapids are going to keep their eyes on them at that club in twenty twenty Markelle let's let's do. Let's just address things I mean. Let's remove Jeremy Kelly here who do you think is the next most likely to get a first contract and then just straight up. Does Poku make the team or are not good question.

It's like every once in a while two or three people would leave and go outside to the terrace and come back down. Waffle fry Nacho sounded really good there. So trashy. My friend Dana. She said she wanted French fry nachos. I said, well, let's use waffle fries because they're like chip. Yeah. Of war. Leave it to me. Anyway, let's get into the field goods. Hello there. Samantha. Hi. What's going? All. Right. So this one got to me it's been awhile since I cried writing one of these. But this guy did it. This came to me from Aaron Rodriguez who reached out and wanted me to feature a beautiful soul named Jeremy Davies now Ahrends connection with the story is a little extra special because she went to school with Jeremy's wife, whom is no longer with us. So she was really happy to send this to me. Now back in twenty ten Jeremy registered to donate to be a bone marrow donor with be the match it took five years. But he eventually got a call saying twenty seven year old woman with lymphoma needed him without hesitation, Jeremy donated and his wife was proudly by aside at this point in time. His wife was in remission for a brain tumor. So they were really bonding over the idea of saving someone's life. Even though they didn't know who it was years after the donation Jeremy was allowed to know the identity of the person he saved. Keller bureau, and he actually became very close friends with her he reached out and they started texting run with his marrow. They're finally now, they call themselves brother and sister a couple years after that. I know it gets convoluted, but. Desire me, lost his wife after brain tumor returned. And it was a credit an incredibly hard time from any liens on Kelly. They became even closer what Kelly did not want to tell him was that she needed a kidney. She was in trouble at the same time. Right. Well as soon as he found out she needs a kidney he immediately offered. His and literally saved Kelly's life for the second time on believable this story. What a hero right without hesitation the story came out Friday. They just went through surgery went incredibly well because Kelly and Jeremy are one hundred percent match thanks to the bone marrow transplant that happened so long ago. So these two are really beautiful. And although there are some really sad bumps in this story. It was so nice seeing these people who really did look like family who met by chance what anyone who puts their name on a donors list for bro bone marrow. That's what a special person you are literally saving life. Kelly said she had zero percent chance of living. If they didn't find a match. So you are absolutely amazing Jeremy Kelly. We're glad you are. Well, and if you have someone that deserves to be featured, Email me Sam Elvis, Duran dot com. Subject nine feel goods believable. I have always shocked people who donate a body part to a stranger because half the people..
