"And the big story with Joel Riley on 6 10 w TVN. Joel is still out, but he will be back with us on Monday. I continue Tio sit in the big chair here. Matt McCoy, filling in for Joel this week. Jeremy Birmingham covers the Buckeyes with a focus on recruiting for Letterman. RO. I wanted to have him on to see if there's AH long term effect on Ohio State in the Big 10 from a recruiting standpoint because of the loss of fall football while other leagues sec Big 12, A CC are still playing before I get to that, Jeremy first. Thanks for getting up for us. But just your opinion, the Big 10 finally said something yesterday, eight days after cancelling the fall football season. What did you think of Ah Commissioner Kevin Warren statement last night? You couldn't just stop we each that would But you could continue much of it. I don't think much of it. I mean, it's it's pretty much what he said. In Hiss Very vague on DH nondescript picked big time that we're Interview the day that they announced it last week. And I think it's Sort of Skirting all the issues that the parents and players and coaches have. And the fact is, they know there are really questions of these kids have if the decision is to move forward with, you know whether it's January or March, or whenever football. If that's the decision, then there are a handful of questions that need to be answered. Before that can really move forward and For the second time, Kevin Warren and the Big 10 and basically just put out Word salad for people, too. Try to feel better about you know, some Something? Yeah, and fell short of the Mark. Jeremy Birmingham joining us Letterman row. All right. I want to ask you from a recruiting standpoint, which I know you're knee deep in covering eyes. This a setback. Specifically to Ohio State, but also for the league. If indeed these other leagues pull this off, especially if they pull it off and are able to play this fall. Is it a setback? Teo is their negative recruiting going on to the big 10. Hey, lookit were more serious about football than they are. We'll definitely I mean, that's already happening. You know you did hit the nail on the head, though, if the other leagues end up playing It certainly is a bigger black mark on the victim's, um, I think Ohio State has a brain. Eyes big enough to withstand it. Ah, specifically, more so than the other schools around the league are But they're certainly going to be a negative effect on the reality is If you're sitting at home for the next four months, and you're watching Alabama l s u clumps of Georgia play football. Um it's hard to understand. Exactly, Uh, what the Big Ten's priorities are and you know, I know that there will be people who You scoff at that comment, But the reality is for these kids. Football should is their priority. And so you know if that's what they want of you. If they think that other leagues air taking that opportunity more seriously. It's certainly gonna have some negative impact on Ohio State. But again, I think the Buckeyes brand is big enough to withstand it. In a long term, more so than anyone else in the league. But in the short term, you do have to wonder. You know how impact people around the program. Who are integral part of the recruiting machine. People like Mark D'Antonio people like Mick Morality, People who are You know, carry over from the Urban Meyer era, and that Ryan Day has had been fortunate to have in place. And if those people you wonder You know if those people lose their confidence in the big 10 and in the, you know State of college football, then maybe there's longer term effect because you just don't know what you'd get if you replaced. Is there a Ah, danger if you're another school? Ah, and I get everything you said is right. I mean, you think about turning on the TV on Saturday in the fall, and you can't watch big 10 football. I mean, that is just just by having football. It's a recruiting tool for those other schools. But is there like the negative recruiting aspect of it? Do you have to tread lightly because it could backfire on some kids, right? If you're saying if the message is football's more important than a tow us than it is to them. And if you have certain kids, I think that might turn off or certain parents in that, you know. Hey, I don't want to just be a football player. But I guess to your point. Most of them just want to be a football player. But How dangerous is the negative recruiting aspect of it? Well, I mean, there's certainly risk to it. Ohio State has made it a point in the last decade plus to recruit young men who are interested in more than being just football players. And so you hope that A situation like this will impact Those players and those recruits less than it would have, you know, 10 15 years ago, but The reality here is, if that's just about that place. August Paul It's about asking, how do they play football in January? How do they play for? You know that's the question, and that's why the the ability to sell his in their parents. On the big 10. I'm not taking this seriously or not. Having a plan is the biggest is the biggest thing. It's not Like a Ohio State doesn't care about football. Everyone knows House teachers football. Question is what is their plan? And the longer this goes without the big time having a concrete plan? And, you know, pointed plan. Then you get bigger questions and harder than unanswered questions. And that's really what the C A C C big fall etcetera. Will be, you know, kind of using us. Their plot points moving forward. Yeah, it's going to be interesting. The thing to watch through the not just this year, but down the road with the long lasting a fix effects of this Jeremy Birmingham does a great job if you've read any of the stuff from him. Ah, Austin Ward a letter Monroe. They do a really good job, and we appreciate his time here on news radio 6 10 w TVs. Into the newsroom we go. Scott Jennings is standing by working on the nine o'clock news, Scotto. What are the headlines? Will Matt Senator Cory Booker will be among the speakers warming up the virtual crowd for Joe Biden during the big DNC finale tonight? Patriotism, his love of country and you can't love your country. Unless you love your fellow countrymen and women, and that doesn't mean we won't have to agree, or even like our chips. L like each other, but we have to understand that we're all in this together. And Booker was another one of Biden's rivals during the Democratic primary for president before ending his own run for the White House. And another look at the guidelines set up by the governor's order on sports, especially beyond high schools. That's coming up at nine o'clock..

"I need to see results and when I saw what they had actually accomplished, it was like man I got to be a part of this. This is the greatest thing you know and we're a team. You know we just Kinda got lucky that all the contracts ended at the same time. We signed contracts. And this and you know if somebody would have signed a new contract of this group than they would not be part of this because you're signing three year deals in this business three years, yes. Three yards, so there's just all it was like it was Karma was meant to be in these guys. They knew that what I didn't want to do. I don't WanNA write seventy five articles a month anymore. I don't WanNa do five hundred message board posts anymore, and they came to me and said look. We, know you. We know your work ethic. We know the type of person you are. We're not going to put any demands on you. What you want because we know, you're GONNA demand more of yourself than what we're going to have grown as man ridership, not not some bullshit quotas so much to. Trusted me and you know. Yesterday was our first day on the job. We opened the door at four, and I did that chat from four to midnight. Through baby on fire the whole. Cup. Catheter Money for Catheter for you now maybe might have. But anyway, that's kind of how it all came together. So here's what I think is really intriguing for me to kind of an outsider. Looking in is, and you've already talked about a lot of it just how it all works one how how beat works how it works to get the story how it works to to have that communication with that that recruit or with the someone on the team or the coach? Because I've said forever, the two guys that I've had on from. From the Buckeye coverage are two guys that I spoke with pretty frequently as a coach. That's you Jeremy. Birmingham and other people reached out, and it's nothing against anyone else, but it's just like for whatever reason you and Burma are the two people I was like those are the guys that I'm going to respond to, and I don't really know why, now in hindsight, glad I did, but that's the one side I want. I'm curious about how that works the start there for me. I've built man. Is started I started in this business like two thousand and one. You know so. I got to know so many guys that were low level GPA's that are now coaches. And I, just people. People trusted me and I never burn anyone. You know what I mean you and I when you were coaching at a high state, we would have conversations and you would tell me. Don't put you what's going on here? I don't trust you that you're not gonNA write. No and I've never burnt anyone. Never burn any key right now. I can tell you this from a coach's perspective and players a little more naive, but they're not that naive. That was the biggest thing for me is like all right i. need somebody because we. We talked about it. I need somebody that is talking to these. These, kids nonce rob because I don't have the time and the reality is and what people don't really know is guys like you know more than than Brian Hotline. They you just do and so that relationship is critical to a great recruiter, and so you need to know that you trust someone so that you can have that ally. That's able to contact kids because of NCAA rules, I'm a college coach I can't call the kid. Guess what Bill Green can hey, Bill. What's a kid up to me? Think maybe give me a call. Things like that. You need an ally on the other side, but it's such A. Sh, I don't WANNA, see shitty industry. It's such a cutthroat industry that people will burn you, so you're. You're right, Jin being genuine and that trust factor is what it is right I never ever recruited a kid to school never in my life. Right do that because if I'm a better than US Zach they better hire me I'm the. One. Hundred. And I never would recruit. I didn't do that, but yet. If I'm down covering to Florida seven on seven stuff and see I'm not CBS anymore, and you're not with the highest state anymore. There was a day when I was launched. Remember was Sam. Bruce absolutely on seventeen in man. I remember it well yeah I was texting you and I was sending pictures of Sam and you know, and I didn't feel like I was crossing a line there because I'm not telling saying where he has to go to school. Not that he would listen to me. Why are listen to me anyway, even know. Whether he was or wasn't you weren't and I and I won't mention any names of people are into business, but I would do this for all the coaches I know. I wasn't just like like Zack's lackey. With college coaches it every school schools that compete against each other, but I don't feel like I'm influencing the process. You know I mean never do that absolutely. Clear. What interested in hosting you? He'd had told me a right. Don't put that dude on the phone that that's that's I think the good thing is and why you're so good at it is. That's not the industry norm. The industry norm is not to do that. It's more to kind of try to use coaches or used players to get info and become the inside guy. You know what I mean, and and just you know fuck that guy. He already told me what I WANNA know I'm just going to tell everyone so. I think it's very I. I would think it's very eye opening for the normal fan to hear that insight into that into that whole world because I know that Shit I was kind of an eye opening to me well, another thing is you're always limited by the calendar. The count always I'm not limited by. No? No Damn any signs day. There's no one allender funny side story. I brought this up. I think maybe to Pan Tony, or maybe not. You know I'm not trying to put out who I still talk to. But after I got fired, I was like fucking. Do I should just recruit the top ten players in the country right now? It'd be like Hey, listen I'M GONNA! Go somewhere! Come with me and just fucking talk to them everyday fly there. Buy Him lunch. Every rule wish so that so. So, then when it's recruiting seasons. Up You want a new job. I got the top ten motherfuckers in the country coming with me immediate higher. You know you'd have to choose to Mike Loxley right. Oh?.

"Well I don't know what the right word. It's not great. Yeah you have to run for it and then you have Nicolas de not fair and that's really at two on Jones. Despite the fact that he played this season or than anybody would have thought and by that I mean he played in three games Aw Paris Johnson when you're the number one ranked offensive tackle in the country when you're six foot seven when you're three hundred and ten pounds. He needs to come in the the end the too deep right away and I think he needs to compete with nicotine fair for the starting job opposite. They're Mumford next year and I think that it and the offense to me but that that'd be where I'd go and then for for the long term of the future of the Ohio State Program. It's which quarterback ends up emerging from this class as the guy. Hi It I mean. Jack Miller assigned and and locked in the bucket is at this point. I mean for the for the world of people listening they don't know about. Cj Stroud yet the recording this but shout ends up in this class. Which of those guys is able to really come in and and prove that he can be the number a two quarterback next season? Because I don't think our hope can be that guy behind Justin fields so Jack Miller or stroud or somebody else will have to be and then and that sets up really the next three years after that so It sounds Cliche of course to say the quarterback offensive line the most important position but the quarterback luckily offensive line and the most important positions and the reality is is Ohio State is going to have essentially one calendar year to evaluate either. Cj Stroud of and Jack Miller or just Jack Miller doesn't matter and ride Justin feels for another year and then ultimately their greatest recruiting job allow the nature of the position will be attacking the transfer portal. WHO's GONNA? Who can they get to come in to replace Justin Fields? If one of those two guys is not the answer ultimately right. That's the the nature of the position. Nowadays which is bizarre and sad but it is that's just how the hell opposition works. Yeah they have. The twenty one quarterback already committed go. I mean they know who that guy after Miller or an or stroud or Miller trouser. If it's not stroud they will get somebody else in twenty twenty class or in the traffic support all this off season right Because they absolutely have to. You just can't enter the right now. They're looking at twenty twenty one season With just Jack Miller and Kyle mccord twenty twenty one commit. You know you can't do that. The Need is obvious and that's why. Cj Shroud Ohio State so people people have wondered. Okay Jack Noah's been committed for eighteen months and sign now. Why doesn't will have stages you just go out and get a developmental quarterback to to pair with them like it's Ohio state? You don't offer people who can't play at your program no absolutely not there are no such this thing is penny offers or or you know. Let let's find a guy that we that isn't gonNA threaten the other guy like it if you're not able to compete with the best. You can't play at Ohio state anyway so you know people who want them to to go out and find a spot. Filler are completely missing. The point of state football isn't has been absolutely and in that position. You just look at the playoffs right now. What do you got three transfer quarterbacks in the number one quarterback in all all of America coming out of high school clemson? I mean you're talking about that's the nature of success right is having just fields show up and here we go now. We gotTA GOTTA heisman candidate. Let's let's go try to win it. All and the days of develop developmental quarterbacks at this level our I think long gone and the reality Odi is what you're seeing. Tell me the backup quarterback at any of those schools. Yeah not a clue I didn't. I didn't know the backup quarterback in Alabama until two got hurt and then it was like I better learn about this guy and so the idea that you have to have four scholarship. quarterbacks is still out there but really what you need is two or three we really good ones and even that when you have two really good ones you're almost guaranteed to lose one of them so it's it's about managing the new the new away. But if you don't have somebody in that upper echelon if you don't have a top five quarterback in the country I mean it's it's football from the time here six years old to. I'm here thirty six years old. If you don't have a quarterback you can't whip not not not in this day and age. I would say ten years ago. You could good Alabama did it all the time with great defense a good run game but that day is long gone in my opinion But then Luke Luke fickle figured out Blake Sam's and everything changed absolutely absolutely well one one last and there's not even a question this is like storytime. Give me your wildest craziest like most bazaar recruiting story in your career off the top of your head. Something that people will be like. Holy Shit is this guy serious. Oh Man I don't know I mean for for us I mean. has there ever been a crazier ride than Torrance Gibson. No never never. The kid was all over the place. And you know it's one of those things I always talk about. How kids need to trust their head or their art and like torn Gibson's heart was always with Ohio state date right and it's not really a specific story but what I'm talking about recruiting? There are so many people that have so much invested in so much interest in what these kids do that they are willing to cannibalize it. Destroys these kids for their own game. And it's it's just it's wild to me. How few people actually tell kids the truth? It's it's so true because the entire system is predicated on bullshitting kids to get them to do what you need them to do for you. That's so true and I mean I know people want like a salacious tale but like no I might my entire her reason for doing. This job has always been that. I think that kids need someone. That isn't GonNa be asked them about what they're doing. It doesn't always it doesn't matter if it's like the best thing for for their uncle or their coach or whatever like what's best for you and your family is is has to always be the thing has to be and there's there's been no secret about it I've said it before and I'm not just saying because you're on the show but you find you do an incredible job probably better than anyone that I that I worked with in your realm your industry at at developing a real relationship like you know what the Hell's going on you. Yeah no shit that no one else knows and it comes back to what you just said I would ask them. What do you talk to that Jeremy Birmingham guy just kind of trying to get them to tell me like acting like I didn't even know who you were? And they always be like a real dude like he just keeps it real. I like it doesn't feel like a reporter. He didn't feel like the other guys. Contact me and it's like yeah. Just just be real with a kid. Yeah that's all they want. If every day every minute of every day every person who talks to these recruits and their families is trying to sell them and that has to just be exhausting exhausting. Like at some point. You just want people to understand that you have a human human brain and that you're forced to like make tough human decisions and You know fans. I don't. I worked covering College College football and I certainly don't want fans to Stop watching it or stop reading it. Because it'd be bad for me but like people have to understand understand that these kids despite their larger than life personas and all that they're sixteen year old kids and most of them do not have people people in their lives that are like actually interested in what's best for them and that is that you know they they become pieces of a machine gene very early and it's it's sort of messed up so I mean but hey keep following recruiting because it is important and but understand sometimes that you know it's a messy world and it's hard to blame kids when they go places to get stuff. It's hard to Sarda blend. Blame kids when they get hurt by coaching. Change or whatever because a lot of times those coaches that they've talked to for a year are the one person that they felt like they AK- trust or the one person that they thought they were getting close to know as a human being and then that coach tells them. Hey I'm never gonNA leave you and then three days later. He's gone. Yes yeah so it's it's a messed up world and people forget that these your kids man. I used to always do and I still do it today. I look at Julian Fleming. Yeah he looks like he's twenty seven years old and a twelve year. Nfl Vet He. That's what he looks like. But the kids seventeen like you go back to when you were seventeen or even if you know kids that are teenagers. It's still a kid hid. I don't care if he carries himself like a grown ass. Man is still a kid. And when he has fifty reporters thirty coaches you know all these people contacting him constantly like that is exhausting costing and so all day every day all day every day. And it's why a guy like Brian Harte line is going to do so well and I think why did well when I recruited and why guys like like you on in your your venue do well is because when your name POPs up on their phone they don't go. Oh God dammit. I don't WanNa take this call. They're like okay okay. This is my dude. Thank God it's not one of the other guys. Yeah we certainly It's it's a tight rope in a delicate balance but like somebody thirty has to try to to do it In a way that is in the kids best interest for sure. Yeah for sure. Well I appreciate you coming on Jeremy Jeremy Birmingham from letterman row and Why don't you I've also done a few segments on sports media in general and I've talked about specifically Ohio State Sports Media and how there are certain ones that I think are complete fleet clown show yours obviously being one that I pay attention to I. Watch I listen to because you have actual genuine and organic knowledge of situations so without trashing or are saying anything negative about any other organization I would. I would encourage everyone that listens to support and read. Follow Jeremy Birmingham and Austin Ward because they do a better job than the nearly anyone in the business so Jeremy. Why don't you tell them where they can find you? Where your youtube channel is your podcast and just kind of let them know how they get hold of you? You know what we do. Do we appreciate the kind words to system. That's been based on the idea of of really working with former players and former coaches to get their perspective because so many times media. We're just nerd. We're talking about football and it's better to have the voices of people who've who've actually been there so that's really been the goal from the beginning and you can find. The main twitter account is just at Letterman row. Letterman with an e in a at at the end and You Know Youtube is letting monroe. And we do a ton of videos there on recruiting Practice breakdowns all that kind of stuff. Buckeye cues with Austin and former players like born and those guys And then on the podcast channels. It's talking stuff. Which is my recruiting? podcast we do basically twice a week And you know anybody you WanNa find is you can find us at Burma twitter for me. You know we really appreciate everyone giving us a chance because despite the in fact some are some aren't always great but there are a ton of live state media opportunities Outlets out there and we know that people have options and they it was a shot I would encourage.

"Wanted to start off with that. Intro haven't use those intros in awhile and I'm GONNA to create a new intro. First of the year we're going to provide some new new content for the show provide some new intros some new altruism new sound effects got a soundboard. We've been working on the last couple of weeks so anyways excited to make this my guess improve it. Just keep improving the show. That is the the moral of our motive right now quick update on me obviously. Cat those of you who listen. I had a court date on Thursday. And if you listen to the show I was very confident in the court date. We had an initial court date eight one court date where it was seven to one. We couldn't get that last. I guess vote. I don't know what do you call it. The last person to agree that I was not guilty and did not commit a crime and unfortunately on Thursday it went the total opposite direction eight. Oh against me. was found guilty of violating a CPO. And I'M GONNA I'm not GonNa talk about it too much but I certainly still in the process of figuring out what the next step is with that. Because I don't believe I did. Did anything illegal. Obviously or else I wouldn't have been talking about it publicly. I probably would've just apologized. But I'm really I I guess I'm reflecting right now on on what went wrong. No not only in the court case in the trial but also just reevaluating Mon Perspective on the events of the day where I know there was nothing malicious. It was nothing bad. Nothing that I mean to say. It's not criminal. I guess it is. I got found guilty. But I'm GonNa talk about it at a later date when I can speak more freely on it but I I certainly wasn't GonNa shy away from the topic but I guess I'm just anxious to to figure out what the next step is in right. Any wrongs and move forward move on. It's what I've been trying to do for a year and a half. Just move on enough with all this stuff about the past. Let's just move on because if you really want to talk about every every minute detail we can do that. And I don't think anyone wants that I certainly probably would benefit from it the most because of narratives and things that are spun in the media but either way away what I will do at some point. I don't know how much detail I'll go into the case and things like that. It's not really that relevant to to the public. But what I do want to talk about is the process zest. Just what it is how it went because it was completely foreign to me and It was very it was miserable. It was awful and I want to talk about. So how how how how things went. What occurs what is allowed? And what's not allowed because that was the most shocking thing like if you think you're going to get tried based on and and complete facts in a case you're not it's not even an excuse. Why why why? I didn't come out victorious because both sides face it. It's like half of the truth is not allowed in court for what God knows what reason it's bizarre so I'm going to talk about that at a later date probably in a month or two just the process in general nothing specific i. I don't think anything specific. Maybe a couple of specifics but anyways that's what's been going on with me so really excited for this episode. I WANNA get to this conversation with Jeremy Birmingham coming up here in a minute next week. Two episodes one's going to detail the playoff matchup between Ohio state and Clemson out in Arizona and the second matchup Oklahoma. Lsu Big match up to really the four best quarterbacks in college football going to battle it out for the national title also GonNa Talk About some of the bowl games. I know there's some going went on right now from now until the beginning of January. There's going to be ball games almost every day. There'd be Sunday there isn't one but we're GONNA talk about just general all things about the ball games. And when we get into some of the bigger matchups to Alabama Michigan is the one. I'm so excited for we get into some of those definitely detail. My thoughts on those games but This is a national college football show and some people don't don't really care about those meaningless insignificant bowls the ones where all the players sit out. No one really pays attention no one cares and if a team loses to a team that quote unquote. They should've beat it's because they were uninspired. If Michigan Beats Alabama. It won't be because the big ten is better than people people in the south thought. It'll be because Alabama was uninspired. I mean they. They are used to playing in the playoffs and this was not a playoff game so they were not inspired and and that is why they lost so just be prepared for it. It's my favorite excuse making time of year. But as I've said this is when teams get evaluated waited. I don't care what anyone has to say about teams throughout the year. Not Teams conferences. How good is the SEC? How good is the PAC twelve? How good is the big ten? We are about to find out out because they're gonNA play each other so we're going to look at those matchups kind of those possible outcomes next week and the following week and then really excited to get this wrap this season up and crown us a champion so signing day has come and gone some great glasses some disappointing appointing classes. We are going to get to Jeremy Birmingham right after we take a quick break from one of our sponsors and we will be back in Studio Jeremy Birmingham coming fast. I have a question for you. which if you're online searches? Does the government have the right to know about whether it's maybe you're late night. The attributes are or your antics or maybe the fact that you have a pinterest account does the government deserve to know about those searches the answer none of them if you have expressed vpn they won't without express VPN's pin's protection though hackers governments add companies. And all have full access to your data. I don't want them using my web. History video searches against me..

"You're live now <hes> she's voice actress who died <hes> recently passed in Glendale <hes> voice characters such as Minnie mouse characters from duck tales <hes> the very godmother from Cinderella <hes> the the mice from there <hes> really big shakeup is that she was the current voice for Martin Prince and Simpson's yeah and so they're they're they're in the twins twins <hes> the Sherry twins <hes> who give Bart wrong answers to tests <hes> but they are contemplating retiring the character because of such and my I'm not WanNa make this segment of bell who the character I wanted to talk more about Russi Taylor and you know again poor one out. I feel like most times I've done. These updates have been passing away kind of yeah. I mean it's important to talk news notable news important to us so I think it's like you know if something even if it's tragic it's important to us so we're talking about <hes> so you know the walt. Disney Company has definitely made a press release so I could definitely. We hope to imagine that they do something. In honor of Simpson's utero Simpson's no Disney Disney go because many Minnie mouse. Let's not forget the actual fucking character that may be the simpsons really great at retiring past track record with it. Maybe hopefully something comes out of the twenty twenty three yeah because they have their thing. They don't care about yeah. We'll tribute thing yeah so everyone at home if you're at a bar if you're at a you're driving your car poor one out even if it's your coffee in the morning when hot coffee radio up yeah you know you gotTa do what you gotTa do. This isn't always just punt us right now with the lights things up to our next segments yes so our next segment is that we answer questions from our audience. That's you <hes> you can send those questions. Two questions at nerd aired on T._v. and they literally literally can be anything from a couple of weeks ago we had what's your coffee house order yeah to. Who Do you think Wynona fight Daffy Duck Donald Down Right. Oh I left slot so it can be anything in also is going to be called. If you are a member of the nerve on nation <hes> powered by Patriot on you get first access to these questions yeah but please do remember to send your questions the questions at Murdoch Dot TV <hes> our first question for me Patron Dana P shall we address what movie soundtrack always makes you tear up or feel emotional garden state that whole Sarah is a great soundtrack. Yeah feels about Shinn's <hes> <music> a nick <hes> remember his name right now. Nixon no another really wonderful <hes> I remember when I'm not thinking about it but that that whole soundtrack from front to back is just phenomenal that changed the way I listened to music. I found that soundtrack at a very pivotal age thing I was like thirteen fourteen <hes> and so <hes> for me that was that was huge and it made me appreciate independent artists and music. That was a little more a little less popular but really well like I to this day. I still listen to the shins all the time. I was one of the greatest songwriters in my opinion when the name you can just call him. His number is five five five remember when when someone else's talking because it's on the tip of my tongue but <hes> garden state soundtrack for sure <hes> Tom Visit from Rose Batman forever cry out of another orphan out of my body in a good way. I think I'll stick with the garden. State is my answer. I think I think choice or misunderstood because I think I thought score. Abihu scores you a couple of things that come to mind when it comes to score road to perdition from two thousand and two has an amazing score by Thomas Newman woman. Just it's just a fantastic. I love the movie too but the score is amazing but if I had to pick a soundtrack it would be about a boy <hes> the movie <hes> about a boy and with beast yeah <hes> yeah maybe these are Nicholas Holt. Yes maybe a little little baby <hes> a great soundtrack and it's mainly by an artist called badly drawn boy and <hes> it's just a dope soundtrack so anyway. Nice <hes> mine is the Lord of the Rings Yeah Ask collectives so bad <hes> terrible whereas <hes> few key scenes that I know that are very well accented by the soundtrack <hes> Nick Drake sorry to go on like the White Hi planes I think and then like a right as a row Han there. There's a couple like some of the row. Han scenes where it goes into Norwegian fiddle kind of by itself so little shires shires some of that stuff because this reminds you of the scenes and so I feel like I've anytime you here's your I'm like I'm I'm going inside and I also like the first couple of weeks after endgame. I was also kind of a couple of songs in the soundtrack tearing up to that movie but but I'm just like a hyper fan of that movie I'm Weird Hybrid Song that comes into spoilers everyone around the ending during someone's memorial like that there's a music a really nice museum like that's part of the journey data that other food does it. What does it actually say makes you trying to. You're up tear up makes or makes you tear up or feel emotional. Oh okay so I'm still fine with garden state. I was like I didn't cry garden too high between those two right now for me the rings game sorry no actually not the dominant <hes> so. I don't have a specific score soundtrack same thing right so Caitlin okay return but I would say like the last few songs of out of scores that I've <HES> fucking lion king world you know that moment is climate flashback to that episode and the trailer trailer music when he's climbed with data ramic. Sarli used in the trailer fucking I.. I don't know I just tear up. I don't know I think it's kind of like this like like visceral. It's not conditioning. Should I have no control over yeah. Yeah exactly that think actually is the dark mate. <hes> or Batman begins where the fuck it's. The is the as the caption say it's the solemn theme when he's waiting out like when his parents are dead in like yeah or when he's looking at <hes>. Rachel Dodge nature has that same thing almost has like the boy that like six appeal but the boys that the coral voice the yeah I'll give you the upper deck has nice you please give it inside me also as an as an applies to me as well yeah. I'll give it to you. We give to all right same going my here. Academia is any time a hero. Does something like super emotional in mainly the main thing is like when all might says like you too can be a hero in on the ground. He's touching movie work. Check okay also corey make. Fun of the Galaxy show me fucking so like rewrite the stars and Zach Ephron. I was like why can't Eh and then it's like an never enough. I was I'm not making because what if I said before imagine dragons effect the songs are beautiful and when Sung live there beautiful made me cry I. This is me the whoever the fuck mixed it. You stay away away from music for the rest of your skin. It's so flat everything levels imagine Dragons Syndrome so anyway. Grange Raoul was the one who told me about actually shut up to roll songs. The Suns are phenomenal. Tom Yeah man you just immediately like blasted. My brain of actually shows greatest showman was actually right. It was great. Showman and Corey can hear me for this law all in Yeah I can hear you I don't. I don't hate anyone who hates. Both Tom and I now wow so. That's cannon on cannon. Tom Things we hate me. Josh hates material cannon <hes> but yeah I would say la La land for sure. I hear any of the songs from that. I'm just like Oh. You're right White White People Save Jazz music movie. Oh No. I don't like that but I don't like the whole movie out. No it's not that's why drew gets a break. Oh that's what it is. I'm sorry you're totally more Waco White people succeeding the movie yeah I wasn't even that's I totally took my the Movement for me so corey either have love or success China and bring up that I didn't like it she she did now. I'm in next question the next question this has actually been the nerd on Superhero Saga inspired by Jeremy. Birmingham this is something that has been going on for the past few weeks and it is our super powered hero Saga Saga last week's question was who would your village your villain be so and we all answered and he did not so he needs to answer that we can recap for you. I do you think sure go for it. While you think recapping go ahead Corey <hes> my superhero powers is teleportation <hes> so my villain and <hes> much like night crawler when I tell I go through different dimensions <hes> so my my villain was created because I was saving a group of kids who had a <hes> possibly brother and sister why not and sister slips out while I'm teleporting back out of the dimension so she's left in this inbetween world for ten in years right. She's I said I said she was like ten at the time so she's twenty a my my real age now thirty. I've searched for her. Tom Has searched for her because like vibrate through dimensions dimensions <hes> we couldn't find so while in this dimension spending time and surviving in this dimension she has gained powers and she is determined that her life goal because she thought I left her behind she was looking for was is to destroy me so she has a pre cognition so me teleporting behind her or something. I sense basically impossible because she knows it's going to happen and almost mysterious like real. Not Illusion not real powers but not quite like can't like put me in some weird thing but has magic powers so that's that's my villain and then wait. What what all do we need to recapture name is Kamera. My name is cameron like materialized shape shifter but materialized things out of my shape if I have enough materials to do so and then my villain is I forget what I don't think you gender. I remember you said trauma boy on the episodes. Oh yeah no it was <hes> can absorb all things black holes lack you ate it. Destroys called her tar tar and a and that she just like <hes> can set up anything and if it becomes too much then. It's like the world's done so that that's that's it for me or his character's name was monkey night and I was like I think that's true trademark monkey night with Jackie Tight <hes> so my superpower was super strength was your name. My name was Mr Sash clamp <hes> my my layer was in like a cave mountains and like a forest and then my villain was kind of a LEX. Luther type doesn't really have superpowers he just really mad at me and he uses he and he didn't come from wealth. Either he built his fortune and he basically tries to use technology acknowledged went to high school together a Cigarette Dandy Yeah. I Made Pun because I thought it was a girl and he's like yeah. He Mis read my arrogance. As whatever Reynoso Soka we call her miss read but no and then Tom <hes> so I have super speed lights be is the name <unk> <hes> and <hes> I wanted to slow down <hes> and so I was like I don't want just a stupid slowing down power. That's stupid like slow things down. That's now awful but gravity so contains the gravity around themselves run everything else but can't be like worldwide has been within a certain radius <hes> because Unum Scientific Ali Yeah and <hes> so you can put thousands of pounds of garbage on top of me or like make me weightless so I fly over them right so it's really hard for me to attack him. <hes> <hes> named the character graviton on. I said that the character would have been like wronged by the government where they were <hes> taken away from their family and then the imprison but while their families families away from their family died so when they got out there is like wanting to destroy the establishment and I would probably have myself. I see what you're talking about highly relatable character <hes> Korea was honestly thinking about thing. I actually might want to be a female character because knowing me I might WanNa Fall in love with their fuck my day up and lady dead where it's like you you know travesty comes across in like we share we share travesty together also realizing oh she goes further than I go like I use my ideologies for good and she is eligible for yeah not good. It's good in her own sense because again she has to be the hero story yeah right <hes> yeah grabbed on and if I'm truly in funny and I just make fun of them all the time they had to be like like Super Serious Batman style yeah so Ali who is what I thought so to recap me Gumby the <hes> do you remember the name of my character flare. Flare Ric flair.

"If amid stacks vis is the zone. welcome back to the end zone jamie morris matt leach on the other side of the glass and when i say that i showed a tour to some guys this week and when they walked in they went oh man on the other side of the glass they got it now they they get it they get it was it was kind of funny and we have our special guests every friday is as a whole nothing but the whole truth from wolverines wire zehr is not in the booth today didn't wanna be in a a client a cramped area he wanted to be out amongst the people so he's he's all a what what you okay out there i just had i just had stuff was that i wasn't that i wanted to not be there i wanted to be there just i couldn't feasibly make it there today so but yes i am amongst the people watching people lay on the beach people swim maybe i'll get in there first win Make sure you've got to make sure you got your trunks on me. no i just go just go in with whatever close way okay all my phone above my head go in while it and all you know maybe throw in greece watermelon like frank reynolds over so i go crazy for it so so i rudely interrupted you while you were talking about this kid from massachusetts that i'm so into i just watched his video his junior season eighteen i mean he he is a cross of a running back and wide receiver he's elusive he he's got hands i mean i look you're right is the one that he he resembles yeah exactly and it that's why it's like again people need to recognize that not every 'cause it's like how how many people were complaining About respond. Gary not living up height. if you look complained about djibril peppers not living up to the hype and you know what those guys were fine players people just had higher expectations divert you them being five stars right yes when they're a five star you're you're supposed to be this transformative like you know you people notice where you are on the field at all times but you know regardless of the fact that eighteen schemed around for sean gerry team schemed around your real peppers so that i mean sometimes that's the different sometimes five stars don't get as much action but because teams look at them and say like i'm not even gonna mess with them you know like i'm not gonna take i'm gonna take my chances going elsewhere but not there so with that in mind when a three third gets an opportunity so many stargazers sit there and say like this guy is terrible and we've sat there and gone through even like walk on for instance you know like i i had we've seen the glasgow brothers come through we've seen two of them go to the n._f._l. have another glasgow brother on campus and you know i had someone very reputable tell me recently that nate lee the walk on wide receiver he's now a scholarship player from my father gabriel rashard and in ann arbor or plymouth or something like that i don't remember the exact count but local guy nonetheless they used to win one on ones against jordan lewis all the time is freshman year like in spring and stuff like that like it's i can play just because you're not rated by you know just just because what's his name the godfather mike farrell or because just because barton simmons and see bolt on don't have you as one of the top players in the country because they have you four hundred in the country doesn't mean you can't play it's so people need to chill out there and obviously he he you my dentist is a guy that michigan identified and went hard after so it the fact that they went hard after him they brought him in for a visit and he committed we've seen guys you know that that wanted to commit not being able to so it's they who they want now now there have been times guys have committed and they haven't wanted to but at least one guy at the top wanted them to so that's been the case but nonetheless that happens you know it's like you've seen i think that people need to chill out when it comes to comes to the star rankings there the last two guys that i have to mention and i just think that you know these guys that people aren't gonna be about that's the like i mentioned the running back i'm talking out of saint francis academy or who committed michigan long identified him as a player the guy that they wanted to and they came in on an unofficial visit part of the big thing francis academy crew back in february for the michigan maryland basketball game and he was part of that big group and michigan state after him and thanked the mid one hundred's and he's the guy that finally michigan got their guy running back i think it's a it's a good you're going to see some more consistency especially if they keep on bringing in guys like him along with guys like eamonn along with guys like like a._j. heading 'cause a._j. headings another guy that can you can you can do multiple things too right like i said he talked to me about in this will be something that's out either later day early tomorrow he talked about about how how he can be utilized out of the backfield as well so they'll have a ton of options especially with the speed and space offense and blake corum smaller smaller guy in stature is five nine so he he's a little bit different than like zach chardonnay who they brought in who's six foot two hundred twenty so that's a they're going to have a different type of stable of backs and speaking of running back guy mentioned gauged garcia didn't get really any hype didn't get any pub as far as i twenty four seven didn't even have him listed as commit and till this morning even though he committed on what tuesday so he's a few sport athlete or wrestler and usually that a pretty good indicator that you might be pretty decent itself at some football things if you're like a championship type wrestler obviously they they like that in certain players they brought in joey vallas quiz this past class of columbus ohio for the same exact reason so clearly that's a that's something that resonates with them and i saw i believe it was jeremy birmingham of letterman row which is an ohio state site he's a friend of my sight and he tweeted out this is like the third or fourth guy from canada with high that high school there in pennsylvania that that is going to be one program that people are going to be surprised at how good that program it right and just i got some guys just don't get evaluated and i would imagine that now that he's got that michigan commitment offer and then commitment that some of those some of those evaluators you're going to watch this film they're gonna see him in person and they're probably gonna termine as a three star like that's how that works sometimes that the last guy i want that i have to talk about if i'm not mistaken i think i've gone through everybody else going off the top of my head here is the guy that they got late last night and it's one another one i think that you should people should be super excited about mets colo- mulling i wish you would have pulled the trigger earlier just because his crystal ball was at high on stanford there was a point in his recruitment that i personally felt like he was notre dame bound he's a he's a he's another linebacker leave that marks the force that michigan is brought in this class is the highest rated out of all of them also comes out of comes out of massachusetts boston and he's a guy that michigan is going after for so long so long like he he's been on i have tons of fixtures of him being on campus during football season last year i i've said on this show said on my podcast million times i don't like to get ahead of myself into the year the year next year as far as recruiting i just never you know been able to have the brain capacity to be able to do that but 'cause mullings has long been the guy even when i was in twenty eighteen you know we are finishing up to twenty eighth in class i was aware of who melendez it'd be just the name you know your name your name superman essentially colo- right hello so that might be part of it but also i've known for that entire time that he was he was a guy that dan brown really really wanted down brown why he was a linebacker you know that that speaks volumes about how good you you've actually off and that's the situation that michigan styled themselves in with a high four star guy big potty guy definitely a versatile athlete i that's i feel like with with the guy like him along with the other linebackers have this class when l. wheeler in west bloomfield then the two from from saint francis academy in osman savage and the kai he'll green they've got a really good solid linebacking class right now and get centrally i mean you've got a couple of four stars or three or four stars and a three star and alan truth from twenty four seven said like hey listen cornell wheeler has the four star tools right like he did he might not be listening but he's got the tools to like a four star tool it's kind of the same ideas andre celebrate except for seldom did his four-star so it's they have such a salad class when it comes to that now you look at their class after all of that ten commits like you said going from they were like twenty seven now their fifth according to twenty four seven sports unbelievable unbelievable the they did being able to identify guys bring them in and get them to commit now you've got the bulk of your class in there and i know it felt really dire in mid-may before they got brad mcgregor before they got taxes inter before they got all these guys you sit there and question are they going to be able to secure mirant they're going to be able to cure a._j. heading who are they going to be able to get they didn't close on some of their other you know guys and there were some tight end targets that they really wanted a elijah yelverton who ended up at at iowa too little billingsley but i think he was the year before actually but the yelverton was one of those guys it's things are kind of coming together and now you just kind of wait and see who they finish out with they've got twenty now i'd imagine that they i don't know the numbers but i'm sure just giving trish in and all of that they'll probably do like they usually do get anywhere between twenty five and thirty and you've got some other guys that that they're after their after macari page the safety for much bloomfield michigan's in his group i put out a very limited info update from him he doesn't talk a lot you'll have a lot to say so which is fine but michigan sees him as being versatile guy that can play viper can play you know can play all over the place theo johnson are they still in it for they still wanna take another tight end they've got to committed right now but he's the windsor ontario holy names tight end i am four star couple other receivers that a._j. heading told me that they were at that he was personally trying to bring in renton rice the son of jerry rice who visited this past week that they want him they want roman wilson the uh on blue hawaii saint louis twenty emit that young man he's he's a special athlete runs a four three speed in the space man yeah so that's another guy that i keep my eye on cornell wheeler and and told me that he's working on darien green warren he's the one that's actually had a harbor city narbonne when i mentioned that school earlier he transferred from modern d. which is known as u._s._c. theater now he does have a top six that has u._s._c. in there at the other five schools he has our big ten schools got nebraska michigan state and state and michigan's in there as well i don't think ohio states in there but maybe they are i don't remember offhand but nonetheless cornell wheeler said he's he's been talking a lot about coming to michigan seems like he's a seriously considering a cold weather destination whether that ends up being some just genuflection or if it ends up being reality we'll see but he's a he's a high end four star cornerback i think that's what you're looking now right you're looking at what you know who else did they bring in the defensive backfield you they bring up you know what other safeties what other wide receivers because obviously you're probably not standing pat with just eamonn denison a._j. hunting you're probably trying to get to more just because of what that's what michigan needs and the then.

"The clock in the morning. I do for you, man. Especially be my socks either. I'm not gonna get into that with you. All right. Let's get into this recruiting class shall we top fifteen class. You just heard Ryan day during the news saying we didn't have a lot of spots open or else. It would be higher is is that the truth here or did the buckeyes miss out on some things because usually it's a top five class. Well, I don't I don't think it missed out on anything. I think you're caught in that transitional period that you know, there are a couple of decommit because of urban retirement, but at the same time, you did have some kids commit right after urban retired. So I think it's just a new regime coming in. I don't put in again, it's early signing day. Also, remember that? So you still have more coming in February. So the rank could very well go higher. But right now, they're listed at twelve with the big ten rank third behind Michigan and Penn State, but there's a lot of good kids in this class. And obviously Zach Harrison is the big one talk prospect at Ohio mean this kid's in animal, man. And he's explosive on the outside Russia's the edge. But he had he narrowed it down from Ohio State and Penn State Michigan and finally made the announcement yesterday, which was pretty cool the place when absolutely not. But overall I'd say they got a pretty good looking class. There's some good players that are that have committed as of yesterday. How big of a big of a get is that for Ryan days. Harrison, this guy pretty much. Everybody was saying Michigan one hundred percent the whole way through then all of a sudden Michigan gets a beatdown by the buckeyes and he flips over to Ryan. Well, I think it would have been more of a I I don't consider it a huge get because he was right here in our backyard. I think it would have been bigger he gone in Michigan to be honest. I mean, that'd be he was going to he was supposed to. I mean, it was by all accounts. All these crystal ball predictions. It was a done deal. Well, I think those crystal balls were cloudy. I don't think he ever was really gonna go that way. I mean, there was were part of me that thought he might. But I I find it hard to believe that that he was going to go straight up north. I think that some that he was caught to and got convinced that you know, Ryan day is a good coach. And this is still a good program. And we've seen what they're capable of especially with this offense with Ryan day. And and Michigan saw first hand on the last week and then in November. But you know, you don't crystal balls go blow him, I mean, you know, you have some of these kids this star quality you buy star four star three star. It's almost like the NFL draft. You have these guys are like, yeah. He's gonna be all world ends up being. A bust. And then you have free star kids that are like Michigan state like look at on bell four star. Now look at him. And you know, how he's crews on the NFL. Let's get rid of this past year. But it's a it's a solid group. We're talking to the artist formerly known as my campaign. I can't be let me ask you this. You know, you just mentioned three stars recruiting processes so overblown in dramas ties. And would rather get some three stars who are hungry because a lot of these stars are based on how many camps these guys go to where it's based on body frame. What's their size? What's their speed? And it's not so much based on are. They a good football player. I see more three stars. Your Baker mayfield's. You just mentioned on bell. I see more three stars out there making headway in college and pro football than I do. I see a lot of five store flops to be honest with you. I I think we go to crazy over this stuff. Yeah. I I would agree with you. In fact, one three star prospect that I'm I personally am interested in seeing is with Mike Weber deciding to go pro we, you know, higher speed at two one thousand yard back over the last couple of years with Mike Weber and j k Dobbins with Weber going saying he wants to try to play on Sundays Marcus Crowley is three star running back from Jacksonville, Florida. And I'm telling you bloom this kid's pretty good. We talk. To Jeremy Birmingham yesterday on one five seven the zone yesterday afternoon. He's with Letterman row, and he was saying three star from Jacksonville Florida is different than a three star anywhere else. No, again, we're talking about that level, and how you gauge stars. But if you think of the amount of athletic, ability and talent that is in that pool in Florida, Marcus Crowley, could be something special. But again, it's it's it's a script that yet to be written. You know, we have the guys some of the guys in place. It's just to see how these kids merge into the system about wide receiver Garrett Wilson, what do you like about this guy? Oh my God. He's an animal. I can tell you that right now. I mean, he's good. He's good size is six one one eighty one. But after Mickey Mariotti gets his hands on them. You know, you're looking at him being around two hundred pounds. But he's got good speed good hands. Bryant heartline is you know, full-time on board. Now as wide receivers coach you're going to see some of his routes improve. But you know, he's one of the highest touted receivers coming out of this high school class at lake Travis, Texas, and we know that Ohio State is dipped into that, Texas, especially going back to JK Dobbins. You see what he's capable of as running back. But I lay Garrett Wilson I also like the other wide receiver. They got Jameson Williams. He's a four star out of Saint Louis. This is another kid good size. Good hands playmaker out in the open field. And if if Ohio State continues to run the scheme to running now and a lot of cross. Passing routes and give these kids the ability to make plays. You could continue to see the the most you know, some explosive plays out this offense. And the other thing is bloom. I wanted to bring it keep in mind too that the quarterback situation could change to with a big with the big story with doin Mathis with from Ohio State to Georgia. But Justin field who is the number one recruit in two thousand eighteen and was at Georgia decided to transfer now it's open for him to talk to people. And he narrowed his choices down to Florida state, Oklahoma and Ohio State. I gotta tell you talking to Jeremy Birmingham. Again, he says this kid is every bit of a he called him. A did Shawn Watson redo, and I and he said that this is the talk about Justin fields coming to Columbus is a real thing. And if he does so you may have to make room for this kid, and I don't know if he's going to be if he's going to be a redshirt or if he's going to. If he's gonna apply, I guess lawyers involved or regarding hardships. Because apparently there was he's claiming the word was used. It was inappropriate, you know, his coaches as you know, is a black quarterback. But the other thing is that if you if he can come back, you know, if he if he doesn't you saw the shape Patterson thing within going, you know, leaving because you freeze deal. So. Same attorney to. Yeah. And the other thing that you should keep in mind. You know, who is quarterback kit coaches the saints quarterback coach of Dwayne Haskins. There you go. Hey, we gotta get going camping. I'm gonna I'm gonna jump back with you at about twenty after eight if that's possible. All right. Yeah, I'm gonna I'm gonna I'm heading to the gym right now. But it should be you don't work out. Come on. I'll talk to you right now. All right. That is the artist formerly known as Mike campaign, and hopefully, we'll get him back on talk more a little bit later. Let's go to Alison right now. What's going on the news? If you plan to hit the road to head out for the holiday, you might see some lower gas prices. They no longer have to defect to come play baseball. The MLB in Cuba are reaching an agreement. And it's a holiday baking disaster. Broken hershey. Kisses have cookie bakers bitter. A look at that coming up at the top of the hour. Okay. We got a couple of accidents scenes in heroes and start with six seventy westbound.
