"To sell our bills and ourselves. So our bikes, we decided we could sell all our bikes, you know, and get this money and go through the basement and we actually found some of my dad's old silver coin collection in the basement we were able to sell that. And that's kind of how our family works. So all growing up, I had this mentality like, oh, wow, you know, having money must totally change your life and it must be completely different. I'm sure it does. But when I was interviewing Jen, what really struck me was that she struggles or struggled and has struggled with self confidence and with believing in herself and all these same things that I grew up having to learn and the money didn't make a difference, you know? Like she's such a real human being. She's such a, I mean, she's just another person. We got to talk. We really connected over just the human experience. And so getting to interview her and then getting to interview her at the time fiance, and now we're married in October. Was so cool just to see how they do share that and especially horses because right now Jenna is in medical school. And so she doesn't have as much time to ride as she would like to, but she gets to kind of live vicariously through niel, who of course just competed in the Olympics and is doing all this great stuff and they work together actually. They started out working together at Jen's farm every gate stables and grew from there, but it's been really cool to see this and it's actually kind of funny because all growing up people told me that my dad looked like Bill Gates because he has funny. Isn't that funny? It's just really I never in a million years imagine that I would get to interview Jennifer Gates. And this is actually the second time I've done it because I did it back when she was probably 18 or 19 as well, but this story ran inside lines also. Yes, yeah. That was a popular story back then. Yeah. It was just a little bitty one. So that was a really cool and I love seeing that come full circle in this January issue with that story on Niall, which does talk about their engagement and their relationship and stuff a little bit..

"Has Bill Gates been hiding out during his divorce? I'm sure anywhere he wants. It Turns out, it's a place where all billionaires apparently go when they're trying to hide out. Bill Gates has been hiding from the fall out from his divorce and an ultra exclusive California golf club. He's been there for months. 65 year old billionaire Microsoft founder holed up at the vintage club. She kicked him out of the mansion. Sounds like it. Hmm. Well, I guess they've been split up since 2019. Which must have been weird for her. That's when she found out about the trip toe Orgy island. I guess, Epstein. Yeah, it must have been bizarre for her when the pandemic started because all of a sudden her P O s husband Her purported pedophile island visiting husband suddenly became like a superstar to the far left. Yeah, she had to sit back and look at that all because he was in a Netflix documentary. I had an argument with a socialist, and he was like, dude, you don't get it. Bill Gates knows what's up. Watch this documentary about. I saw this documentary on Netflix. Stop right there. I don't. Is that what you did? Did you watch a documentary on Netflix? E was gonna watch it on Who? Lou. But you know what known over there only had the One thing there anyway, I so I guess. Ah, Bill clearly saw this divorce coming for a long time. He's been there for months. This week, He was spotted at the vintage club with his 25 year old daughter, Jennifer Gates and her fiance. Egyptian millionaire Nay on us. Are you sure? Which is weird, because it's not even a billionaire in their family. He must be the broke ass. Yeah, even don't like a billion. Now He's Nicolas 100 billion not even in the tens of Bill Gates and go have 100 billion after this long Gold. She gonna get about half of that. What You called, like a Quinton billionaire. Or what's the word Quentin sent sent billionaire sent a billionaire to billionaire. That's what it was. If you want to join this club, it cost $250,000. And then to buy a home there. The home start at two. A cheap house. There is over two million. Just the buy in is to 50 just to be a member. Yeah. You don't get nothing for that. Then you gotta pay dues. Yeah, yeah. So I guess I won't be a member is the point we go. Michigan can't afford it now, Right? There's not a lot of clubs. I could afford to join. I hop. I guess I could join that club. Oh, yeah. Every 10th order of pancakes is free. That's a good deal. Good deal. You get a punch card. You know, I like a good I like a value, you know? Did you know that Grimes Had to be hospitalized after Saturday night Live. I did not know that. I know this is so so upsetting to me. Although party afterwards Elon Musk wife, Grimes, wife, her baby mama. Okay, well, let's just kind of his significant other. I don't think they're married longtime companion spouse a loan agreement. I don't know. Iron man had a baby with a woman who's like a weird India Electronic music star. She reports that Somehow she calls herself to have a panic attack and had to the guy had to go to the hospital. When I guess the day after Saturday night live, she said. To be honest, it was quite scary, and I suppose it's a good time for me to start therapy. But nonetheless, here's some photos from backstage and she took pictures also didn't see no meant no masks that Yeah, those two don't have amassed the guy in the back. Seems to be where you master the look at Miley. And are we looking at the same photo Miley in Grimes, Right? Crimes is dressed as Princess peach. Yeah, exactly from Mario Brothers. Well, apparently they let her on the show. She snuck into a skit. She's in a skit, right? I didn't see it, but she played Princess Peach. They did this thing where Mario War e o. The evil Mario is on trial and his lawyers making the argument, you know. Isn't it unfair? The public perception of my client, Your Honor, When you look online, it was actually kind of honestly, It was kind of a funny sketch, which is weird because all the leftist they're saying it was the worst episode of SNL. And yes. Now let me ask you this this sound to you like an infant. Okay in this text, where she's saying how much fun she had, and, um Uh, you know, just really appreciate everybody at Saturday Night Live. Miley Cyrus is good live and so chill. Yeah. When you say they're good live to me. It sounds like They don't enjoy your recorded music. But she was fun. Live. I enjoyed her live. See the insult their you know, kind of. I kind of see it differently because in Ah in the music world, there's so many people that air what's affectionately referred to his studio Gangsters. They get in the studio, and they know all the bells and whistles. The tweaks the auto tune the equalizing effects to make themselves sound like they're really good musicians. And then you're going to see him live and they suck. Well, when you see the Miley live, apparently she's pretty good. Miley is a very good singer. One of the craziest things about Miley is that unlike a lot of the other pop princesses of her generation, she is legitimately talented as weird as she can be. She's just checking sang a song. She's just bat soup crazy. And when you look at the two of these chicks right here, imagine the kind of weird sex they're probably happened in their free time with each other. Well, maybe with each other, don't know. Apparently, you don't forget crimes when you see you in that cute little pink outfit there on her back. She has tattooed whip marks a little over her alien whip marks. If I'm not mistaken, she can claim whatever they Yeah, but she's got Tattooed whip marks all over her back. There's a rapper name Azalea banks. I don't expect you to know she is. She's pretty crazy as well. She's like a crazy black lives matter supporting, Trump loving Republican wrapper, which doesn't make any sense, right? It's right, those weird on all kinds of fronts. I know the whole thing, and she got invited to go Do mushrooms one supposedly With Ellen and Grimes, and she was complaining that when she started tripping, she couldn't figure out how to get out of his mansion. So she just stayed there for three days and like meditated, and it was such a big place that none of them even ran into each other, And she claims they were there to have weird sex, which they probably were probably, but I don't know if it ever happened. He might not remember either. And then you lie and musk denies ever having a threesome with Amber Heard and Cara dela dela vine. Is that the No. The model's name That's a weird one, too. Did you wonder like as weird as he is. What was he doing with those two chicks, and he's kind of right wing and they're left wing. So why would they? Is it just because he has money? Are you telling me attractive? Women will go after men just because they have money. No, that can't be. That's just assessed. Is that possible? They would use men like that. Disgusting. 866. I love W J. Shannon from George has been on hold for quite awhile. Go ahead, Shannon. What did you want to say? Shannon from do you bet the I was talking about that race horse in the Kentucky Derby, okay. Yeah, that would be gave that horse. It's a cream they rub on their legs, huh? Probably put him on a probably put it on there like the night before and had him wrapped duck. Yeah, and stated in Turkey, You can't use what they call Butte. Only thing. It is a great big aspirin for a horse. Okay? I mean, you probably can, but you're not supposed to write. Well, it doesn't sound like this is the kind of thing that would make the horse run a whole lot faster. It is what it was anti fungal cream. It makes him each Yeah, And so they wanted to make him stop eating. It's got a little stay right in there. But it kind of gives you bucked up muscles, especially not like the day before A race right now on Lance Armstrong is on the phone with his public relations that Z just keep all your flag burning in your hippie rock protest songs on.

"Okay. Okay. Just walk in and get the shot. Yes. Without a vaccine. Okay? Yes. Now, City Councilwoman Jennifer Gates said the Jenkins on Lee notified groups and low income and vulnerable areas. He represents. He shared that to a group that represented a vulnerable population and told them to disperse it. Apparently, she said, Hey, listen, I want to take care of those populations and I have no problem making them a priority, but not notifying all residents of 75 older that leads to mistrust, she said. And so, Yeah, it went viral, and then there you had huge lines and things of that nature. So Eric Johnson sent a letter to Jenkins said, Listen, we're not going to partner with you. If you're not gonna be transparent, which Clay Jenkins is not transparent, You know, we know that we've seen how he operates. His fellow council members know that you know, that's why they're always raising Cain with him making decisions on his own. Hey, says he says, This is a very condescending letter that he sent back to the mayor. I trusted everyone on this letter. In all council members share the goal of getting our most vulnerable populations vaccinated as soon as possible. Thank you all for your support of the work the city staff is doing to help lead this response there A lot of heroic city employees doing great work. He says, your letters and accurate community outreach efforts were made to reach seniors and underserved and hard it. Zip codes and Dallas after an unauthorized sharing of a back link to sign up for appointments was broadcast by at least one Dallas City Council member. And lead to a Monday through Wednesday appointment being field filled by persons who did not receive an invite for an appointment. And he said that that group was overwhelming, overwhelmingly white under 75 from the city's most affluent zip codes. And he says those were unauthorized appointments and they were not honored, but they led the less vaccines. So, he said, We wanted to remedy that problem. So that's when he reached out to Southern Dallas churches, Health center senior centers and other partners serving black and Hispanic residents were enlisted for their help. So what he wanted to do. Well. So at 75. 75 under Uh, if you're from the The nicer areas of Dallas. You couldn't get it done. Is it? Well, you know you got I think what he's saying here and he goes on to say your and others decisions earlier today to broadcast that vaccines are available to anyone over 75 without an appointment has undermined that effort and made it less likely the vaccine will get to the people of the highest risk in the hardest hit most underst under under served a zip codes this week. He goes, I trust in the future you around any questions through the Dallas City manager's office, the city's Oh, am leads for this response for our call directly. So where does it stand? I mean, the 75 older says it's over of the 75 over. Did they get their vaccine? But the people that needed more than the 75 over in the fluid zip codes. Right, right. That's what he was that that's what's gonna happen is those and underserved communities. Um, I'm missing something. Why is it 75? I thought 65 was the age. Well, it's it's just different for different counties. Yeah, I guess so. It's different for different states. Yeah, this the first time it was different states, but I don't know different counties could set their own. Yeah, You know, it's interesting how that's happening, though. Mm. All right. But imagine that in Dallas, they're not getting along. Well, come on. Yeah, I know. Coming up here at 7 37. We got some more trending stories. Got a breaking news story out of Indonesia. Okay, we need to get into Very 7 45. The president says he's never going to say this. We'll do that at 7 45. Dakota. Let's say Has the 7 30 news Next? "Broadcast student radio station off and there's there's a few issues. There's a shortage of of Citywide frequencies in the city. So so it's difficult to see how you would get a station that would cover the entire city and we have four universities in this inside the city city area and you've got student groups that each of them which want a foundation and so there's been attempts over the years to negotiate between them to you know, put together amalgams of proposals and that hasn't come to fruition. But what has happened is that the different student groups have applied for short-term licenses that dovetailed with each other and so you'll get one station have it running for a few weeks or the like then another and so to be you know, what time? Overseas for a while then the next and so you can kind of work together in providing a student radio experience without having you know, a full-time radio license wage. I should say I think now the the broadcast regulator sees these short-term licenses explicitly as a pilot as a way to Pilot took You Go-Go for a full-time licence. So if you're a community group and you're saying we want to full-time license and you've never done a short-term station, they'll say Try a week. See how you do try try a month and see if you want to do it on a longer-term basis and that I think it's it's useful one thing that occurs to me is dead. Yeah. Oh, it seems like putting to go through all that work of building an FM station and only have it for a week. It's it's hard for me to imagine what that's like to go through that and only have it for a week or two. It's it's it's yeah, it's stations. Sorry. I was going to say the stations that do wish like this is Trinity and there's grief and loved ones in Dublin. They'll probably have the same setup from year to year. And in fact, I think they suck. So I'm thinking this maybe like six or seven some of them do a bit of on on are some of them do a bit of FM. It's kind of hard to track from year to year. But I think they're using the same equipment and I know I was talking to one of the station's everything is a bit heartbreaking to have to file the paperwork every year for starters. B. S. news weekend roundup this is a CBS news special report coronavirus and Alison Keyes welcome to the kaleidoscope where every week will discuss issues of race gender LGBTQ and income inequality we begin this week with immigration as at least one hundred migrants in U. S. immigration and customs enforcement custody have tested positive for the coronavirus CBS's Camilo Montoya Galvez reports well immigration and customs enforcement has maintained that it is taking all the necessary steps to safeguard the health of both its detainees and its employees but we seen those numbers grow and advocates believe the agency has not taken sufficient steps to buy their protect detainees and also released in which many believe is the only real way these people can protect themselves from the corona virus and there are children in custody that have tested positive as well yes at least forty six children in the custody of the office of refugee resettlement have tested positive for the corona virus most of them had a shelter in Chicago where the agency is reporting an outbreak these are unaccompanied migrant children who were encountered at the U. S. Mexico border alone or without their parents or legal guardians and there are reports that more people that are being deported from the U. S. have tested positive for gold at nineteen the government in Guatemala says that five deportees from the U. S. have tested positive for corona virus but the country's leading health minister said it deportation flight late last month had deportees that seventy five percent of them tested positive for corn of ours and the associated press is now reporting that another for light on this Monday that forty four people on that flight tested positive in response to all of these reports the trump administration is now saying that it has deployed eighteen from the CDC to review all these tasks CBS is Camilla to himself as one of the hardest hit areas in the US as a Navajo Nation where at least nine hundred twenty one positive call that nineteen cases and at least thirty eight deaths were reported this week the native American territory is heading into the second of three fifty seven hour lockdowns from Friday night until Monday morning Navajo Nation president Jonathan S. as people are scared we don't have the the best quality health care infrastructure here on the Navajo Nation you know I take shifts in in health services have been under funded for so long and so we don't even have a laboratory here right now we have some resources coming in so Allison these tests that we're getting right now from the federal government you know I have been promised many weeks ago and it was highlighted by the White House and federal programs that we would travel communities throughout the country would get abit rapid test kits so that we could get these test results within less than an hour and we finally got him this week we're going out to R. he didn't health care facilities and we're hoping that we'll get a better and more accurate account of our positive cases here on our nation think of the message of social distancing and our curfews and you know the message to that is given to us from CDC about washing hands with soap and water and and many other protocols is working here on the nomination we just have a large percentage of our citizens that are in that little book category because high rates of diabetes heart disease health problems here on our noble nation but we are doing our very best to flat decker as as they were seen throughout the country you know and try to not have a hi peak here that will nation besides the obvious health issues and that kind of thing why has the Navajo Nation had such a large number of cases I know you were waiting on testing I know that you have done some curfews is there is there more that you think that you should be done or is there more that you need that you're not getting every leader governor as well as many years tribal leaders throughout the country are advocating for their citizens but it just seems like there's a a bid for that finite resources and usually tribes are at the bottom of that list to get supplies and needed resources but you know we're not gonna roll over and feel sorry for ourselves we took out four million dollars of their own money here on the Navajo Nation and put some dollars for our merging sea operation and we appreciate all the donations that are coming from all parts of the country all all over the world actually Navajo Nation president Jonathan Nance the economic downturn from the corona virus is turning a specific group of homeless people CBS is but Michigan reports Jennifer gates has been the executive director of the nonprofit Los Angeles house of Ruth for twenty seven years it's for connected homes on one street in LA that house homeless and battered women and their families and she's never experienced anything like this the moms have lost their jobs the ones that had jobs the ones are in job training they're not in school anymore and then you add the fact that the kids are home needing to do their homework okay the says they're getting more calls about domestic abuse I would say on average we might get five to seven calls a day we're getting fifteen calls a day and it's just breaking our hearts that they can help many of the women who are calling we're leaving a room in each house empty in case someone gets sick and we're required to do that by our health department meanwhile that's that many families that we can't serve so we have more families on the streets domestic violence is going up as we all know so we're just stuck in it's an uncomfortable difficult feeling one reason the LA house of Ruth the stock is that the women and their children are not able to move on to their own housing as they often do in the program all of the low income housing providers they're either not working or they're not doing face to face interviews therefore our clients aren't able to qualify in the building managers who would usually rent to the people who come out of the LA house of Ruth program a lot of those people are so frightened they're not interviewing so they're letting some of their units be empty so the usual stock of housing which is slim in Los Angeles is even less so even when women and families are able to leave the LA house of Ruth and pay for their own housing they never really leave the programs support system we're always going to pick up that phone and do every feral or do some advocacy or go to court whatever they need to help them stay stabilized even in these difficult times there are success stories like a twenty three year old homeless mom who recently came to the program with her five children under the age of six he shows up with all five of these children they look scrubbed and polished and ready to do whatever is up for the day and she's doing so well I am just very humble that we were able to help her but Michigan CBS news that's it for the weekend roundup thanks for listening we want to get your feedback send us your thoughts and story ideas to weekend roundup at CBS news "Coming into the room they're cannery sixty times see if that works of art within the game so I think it's a great match up in terms of the style because the teeth have trouble against physical teamster out a ten year year and a obviously Italian have paid cricket team so far but as far as the way this team is playing right now what they could do you could delete having a second bite at the apple being back in may of two title game while the buzz around now they can actually break diferente at the the the thing that for me is I'm I'm watching them against the Texans and I I thought to myself okay there on twenty four nothing but it's still the first quarter they can come back and then bill o'brien of the games that I will we thought we had to score fifty to win the football game they they just look awesome I don't know if their defense can slow down Derrick Henry enough as you said I've got a big contrast in styles but after that come back at home last week that you're convinced me that I don't know that anybody can stop the chiefs at this point yeah it's kind of hard to really take a game being I think you know it's hard to really make sense of it afterwards for me because I don't know if the chiefs are really at that level right now to that level of dominance or bill Brian it with that the mobile code on that day because it was you know some of the play calling the fake punt the thing that he did it almost seems that even expect to be up twenty four nothing and they didn't know what to do and so I would expect the the Titans to come in here with a with a much different game plan and it be more police but but again I I thought if you being at the grass counts as being in a locker room is that this past week seeing how they are they look last year for them with a heart breaking loss the way they went down with that the tee for all sides called notify you game ending interception the Opry company going down the winning in overtime so they realize that that they're very lucky to be in this position they're blasted mint condition so they think they can definitely is going their way I began working the way they're can around the football get Baltimore label and I'm sure it'll away into the seas while yeah right after the A. F. C. title game last year they fired Bob Sutton who was the defensive coordinator with any for a long time and was with you know Ryan in in New York and head coach and he brings in specs so he's trying to figure out the defense but that this is on a handy so when you look at the at the winningest coaches in the history of pro football Jeff John sure let George Halas bill Belichick Tom Landry curly Lambeau Andy Reid is six years two hundred seven victories he's one I had a Marty Schottenheimer so I think we're talking about the other two best cultures that have not been able to break through and win the big game and Marty's obviously not going to get their chance but it's a handy in that we were talking to Tom Spencer layer the numbers are John mad was wanted six in a conference championship game the worst record of all time Andy is wanted five in a conference championship game so how much of a Andy Reid's legacy candidacy for canton Ohio is gonna be on whether or not he loses or wins this game on Sunday I think a lot depends on that you know you look at this diagram this year with it was a for you when it came to haul train coaches are critical in the hall of fame which doctors going about it bill Cowher because belongs to coaches out there who are in the hall of fame we were an eighty read right out as far as deserving of that status you know quickly my home where do you work for Mike Hanna and people that help but yeah it is I've been pretty much every game caption is lost and I would say the thing that the one thing that stands out as far as the commonality but I will say that but he's got a different player now with with better homes a guy you could do things off script he's got probably the most exciting adequately meet ever had I'm always argued that in these excess wealthy a lot to do with the defense yet with Jimmy Johnson was a lot of Jimmy Johnson was alive and he never been able to really okay backed by the defense to help him with these kind of games back when I have Brian doctors appointments to the Cup was all those guys and so this is the twenty and I was the best that had been there I just don't know again if people don't talk about this but the requisition NEFL against Iran and they haven't seen a rate back like there can recently played last time yeah yeah almost a hundred ninety yards that to me is the big X. factor here can they stop their cannery Jeffrey did you as soon as he's in Kansas city taking care of the AFC championship game between the chiefs and the Titans that'll be the early game on Sunday and I'm obviously we know you're in Kansas city but the but the late game obviously here in the bay area Packers and forty Niners what do you what your thoughts there but with the forty Niners fan all year long I love the way they played don't challenge for a long time ago but a fan of couch in him the way he runs the that team you know because they play on the west coast I think people out here and go back to the you still get a sense of what they've done over there but my god I love watching people to teens why I love watching critical teams play and then there are physical defensive team with under a quarterback so be it they've done everything you can do I think to prove themselves I once saw them beat New Orleans if you want the way they did it with a high scoring game which surprised me I thought this team is going to be hard to deal with the policy that's quite good but out side though they're Rogers and we all know talk about legacies you'd only have one goal one it excited to get back there was playing a different style of football they are dangerous because of him but I have to have the same feeling I have about the a a two game about them instigate Sampson who was a better team they should win this game so you're here bear a guy before you when national on us we've known her for years yeah I know you back in the day of course you do so what so what are we looking at here is far Superbowl fifty four in Miami we gonna have the Joe bowl forty Niners chiefs is that we're looking at I would deal with that right now I again I I'm probably a lot more leery about the a FC game and I am at the end of the game because it obviously the tide is going to teach me because she's been taken the C. specialities with a bunch of points what's the yards of Los Angeles we don't know what happened when the matter but the Packers the first time around I like to bet on digital teams this time of year I could but on teams that are bringing it and the Niners to me I could see that duplicate what he did because Rogers but the flip side I'm going with the chiefs will with the chief manageable but yeah I'm definitely not going to be shocked if technically upset again Jennifer gate stuff man thanks so much for your insight we appreciate hopefully we'll talk again soon thanks thank you god will take care you got it let's say in Miami that's right one or the other we would like to six forty one way are in the nice one yeah nice really know how it's going down yeah they're not losing this game I would agree with you Skinner sometimes nurse last week they smoke when I get nervous watch this NFC championship game from ninety seven I don't drop the ball every catch the nervous that is pretty that's a that's the irony of that game he can to some balls early he did need because the last one late but he did guess last only to that was good so all right will give me the Qaboos coming up next a weird reason why this guy is suing Orin hub the flesh eating bugs story I'm not sure I'm gonna read that a special people are eating in their car let's see what else do I have here yeah that's a good one too what was the other one Betty white is ninety eight today she shares with you how she has lived such a long life it's a little bit strange and much much more as we get caught up on the caboose we'll do it next only on the sports writer you're listening tell Papa in line now one one oh four five F. as the CCK A. B. R. V. sports leader okay another the playful niceties enough about the friendships with similarities to a common ground the Packers are the libel V. and every obstacle all that matters is preparation locked in there folks stopping on the parent are SO damn demand followed by execution I just want to win that we've done a lot of different ways and went on a run on the mall done throwing the ball down specialties it on defense so I think we've done in almost every way possible this year and I hear players really bothers us this evening we had.
