"That thing. They're up here in the trees. Yeah. Go ahead. In. There. We were at nine king point. I wasn't very optimistic within after two hours and twenty three minutes. There you run every bird out of that place. I did you Burdette it out. We there was an bird laughed run. There was I think we all while we run them like a bell. I know that was very impressive. Listen, but we saw American bitterns. Yup. It's the least of it. That's the lease of it. Because we also saw a least bitter bitter to two of them and. That's our I hope you can hear our friend. They're calling occasionally the it's not my stomach. No. I was going to say it sorta sounds like. Sorta sounds like a red headed excuse me, a red wing Blackbird throwing up. Yeah. That's pretty accurate. Yeah. But this is the lie. I'll say it again. This is the last place I expected to see them because this is just some crazy easy. Little turn off that didn't look promising. And it was guarded by. That one close by there up in trees, the tree. Trees just because we're here. They're changing our habits. No, I forgot what I was gonna say some other little bird there, yellow warbler and something else. This is the kind of place where you think you might see like a a yeti or something I know it almost anything could have suss quash. I mean wild. Let's see where that one is. No, no, no. The other fighting over there. I'll be darn well. This is pretty amazing. And so we saw Marsh Wrens to got her. I really good look at Marsh Wren, and we're using should mention I'm using an app that I hadn't used before called track. My hike. And how much you getting for mentioning this apple map, my height? Yeah. Oh, what what is that? Something over there. A ring of birds. It is a ring of our. To sing. And ring a bird. Oh boy. Open area, and then it's surrounded by trees with birds them a lot of the bird seemed to be these yellow headed blackbirds a lot of them are. Yeah, we went through poison Ivy to get here. We went through the game warden to get here. And was it officer Dibble. Who is the jelly stone park. Ranger ranger Smith was the ranger Smith. Okay range, and but anyway, talking about Marsh Wrens martians are everywhere in usually I don't ever get a chance to see a Marsh Wren. But just out of pure luck started pure luck. The Marsh Wrens jump forward in their picture out. Now. They also put their wings around each other. Smiled. I don't think that there's a woman trying to get pictures of birds and. I don't think she'd like if we told her about this place. It's a little too secluded, isn't it? No, she might get a little suspicious. It's only a little bit off road down this path that you could barely Baker tweet through. I can't believe how close we are to these birds. We've only seen these yellow headed blackbirds had a great distance before this. We were within twenty feet. Yeah. I mean, we're within Pulitzer prize winning photo. Oh, this could be it could be it for you. This could be what finally snags me the H L Minkin award. So we took our time. And it was a day that didn't seem to be very well common. Kerry didn't seem like it'd be very encouraging because it was this is June thirteenth, and it's truly. It's sixty six degrees. Sixty six degrees. It might as well be a Dan September try to remember whether there's an overcast sky sort of a threatening Scud. Yeah. Yeah. Yellow heads. Yeah. And I just saw this is this is gonna be a bad day all around, but but we do great. And so what you did ringing every last bird everywhere you go now. Well, we're pretty good. But you saw the bitterns. I did we saw American bitterns at least bitterns as we sit in these are secretive birds that usually high day hop right out. Yup. How many Marsh Wrens you think there were? Oh, a dozen a dozen my guide you say, oh, it's it's dozens well. A couple of dozen nineteen point is on Saginaw Bay. And it is north of Ohio and north South Carolina. Would you say, yeah. Kind of north west bit perhaps. Okay. All right. And it's north north west. Yeah. Yeah. And it's kind of south. You hear that? Yeah. That Steph ladies that is the yellow headed Blackbird. South of Baffin island. It is if you are going to Niane king point and you find yourself Baffin island, please, ladies and gentlemen, turn around turn the car around. Right. I mean, you're not gonna see a yellow headed blackbirds there for one thing. No. And we know Seh habitat has been cut down from past years hasn't it has I wonder if that has anything to do with the yellow headed blackbirds move to this area. Because this is still quite densely populated with greenery. It is there's a lot of greenery right here. But I think it has more of a variety for the Mike. You were pointing out to our listeners about how the marshy area ridi area nearby the wooded area. There's protection is naturally. I think this is just ideal for the modern yellow headed would packed. It is the modern yellow headed woodpecker and the modern yellow headed Blackbird. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I think since the blackbirds sound a little mad. Like that. Like that is because they're still waiting for your son. If your promise yellow headed. Oh, last fo-. Yes. And how is that coming what kind of progress that you make I'm making pretty good progress? I'm still working on a few trying to iron out a few wrinkles. Okay. And how many wrinkles should a son at have? Well, it's like at a wrinkle in a B wrinkle. Okay. And then they kinda alternate for that's at least two wrinkles. And then it ends up with a like some other kind of a wrinkle and among the other miraculously things we saw we saw a field with several Caspian turns in it. Right. Oh, yes. There were dozens of Caspian another yellow head. Yeah. Yep. And after we're done with this pack. We're missing the opportunity for some more Pulitzer prize winning shots, just for the sake of our audience because we want our audience to be here with us as we discussed the fine points of this. It's starting to rain a little bit too. Well, if you lose your Pulitzer because we're stopping and talking to our audience than I think, it's. About time that you started to reevaluate your priorities. He's our lawyers. You know, frankly, now, maybe I shouldn't get into it now, but our audience has been a little bit hostile lately they have haven't now, but according to map, my hike, which is not a sponsor the show, and neither is brisk gets to go your one-stop destination for the best briskets on planet earth that phone number again Bob will give the phone number at the end of the show Bill but map, my hike said we walked two point two one miles and it took us two hours and twenty three minutes. That's good. I know more about I mean, I'm exhausted. Yeah. Huffing and puffing. That's why may only be sixty six degrees. But really shallow warblers out in the open to you. Never see that just sitting down your because this is a little wonderland. Yeah. I might try and give me a picture of a yellow warbler. I all right. Okay. So we're about at the end of the show. "Southern California LA area this morning. Materialize until late this afternoon. And now we're hearing that tomorrow is going to be pretty nasty. I think I scared at north, okay? Credit for there's a lot of lightning in this thing actually thunder. Yeah. This this. Yes. It's pretty dramatic. And the I think the reality is that these Thursday system, which is yet. Another storm is likely to be the wettest, really. Yeah. Which is kind of concerning because obviously the grounded traded from the you know, this last round. So anyway, that's. That's tomorrow night or Thursday early Thursday, everyone to think of it that next storm. I think will be the wettest, but it won't have all the the stunned enlightening associated with this one that there's a lot of that still waiting to to move in from shore. I well everybody. You know, if you've got if you don't have sandbags up now do it all day tomorrow because Thursday supposed to be the big wallop? Exactly. But I woke rain for most of tomorrow. Then tomorrow night and Thursday nasty. I woke up because I know that bender you, and I am by the way. I would rather err on the side of it's going to be nasty. And then it's light rather than oh, nothing's gonna happen. And a guy's house. Florida wilmington. Thank you. So we said it was going to storm like hell, and then I woke up this morning. I felt bad that there were very few clouds in the sky, and it wasn't that threatening. And there's no rain I like rain, and when we say, there's going be rain, and there's no rain, I feel personally I feel like I'm personally responsible for that. Yeah. I get what you're saying under normal circumstances. Yet. Wta in that danger zone when it comes to the rain now. So I could do like a like a nice break. And here is the good news. Ooh, I've inadvertantly backed in a good news. Good after Thursday's system that is to say Friday on it looks as though it'll be dry to the end of the month. Really? Yeah. Wow. Well, see I like the rain this weekend sixties and seventies. Now, I love the rain, man. I'm one of those back now, I get I get the romance of the rain. But right now, it really is dangerous and creating some issues for people I get that. But you know, that's that's issues for you know, people have doesn't affect you. Well, look if you move I love coming here bender. I know I know there's a lot of Email. I when I go on this run. But people did you move into the forest and the forest catches on fire. And you're like what the hell how did this happen? Right. They this. They've been told in northern California. There's a fifteen foot shark buzzing around don't go in the water. And I guess a kid went in the water, and he got his. As aspect, right? If you if you move close to the ocean, right. You've lived close to the ocean. You lived in Malibu, right? One of the one of the beautiful things about living close to the oceans you wake up in the morning. You can hear the ways you can see the ocean you can smell. It is very romantic. You know, women are attracted to guys who are attracted to it. And yet one of the dangers in doing that is that the ocean might end up in your living room. Right. And you knew that you knew that there could be big waves church. Even though you were up on still time we up on. Yeah. Yeah. You're right about because I was right on the coast. You can't be you know, when you're right there on the coast you have to be up on, but even still, but but the waste came crashing into up against the glass of the living room. Yeah. Really? Oh, yeah. And you knew that there was a a slight chance that the ocean would come in because the oceans more powerful than your pylons and take your pylons away and your house would be in the ocean. You knew that right? I wish I had talked to you before. I mean when you put it that way. I don't think I knew it on that level. If you if you live in amongst mother nature, mother nature always wins. It never mother nature. Never comes in second. It might take one hundred years thousand years whatever I mean, they're looking right now at a possibility of super volcano in jelly stone park. Right. Super unbelievable. It could wipe out one hundred million people. This thing blows it could mean I a small ice age for four years. Right. I mean, this is a true possibility. And the the the the core the the the earth's core and the lava is rising and that happens right before it blows. It might be another one hundred years might be ten thousand years, right? That's a short period of time. But it's going to happen and the people live around they're all going to die. But they know that. You know that you're that's why. Commentary from airplane. They bought their tickets. Let them crash. Here's a another analogy. If you're if you work hard for a living you and you make a lot of money you can enjoy the money without worrying about most of the time without worrying about going to jail or being shot by the cops. Right. But if you don't if you wanna smoke weed all day and not work. And then you decide oh, well, I'm forty I want money on rob a Bank part of robbing that Bank. The downside is the cops could shoot illegally and not even miss a day of work. Right. They could just shoot you in the head you're dead. And then they go back to work. That's part of the downside. There's downsides to everything we do in life smoke cigarettes. You enjoy him you smoke every cigarette. I ever had in my life was one of the greatest experiences ever, right? I'm not pro smoker. But I'm decide if you drink, you know, there's there's down sides that if you do cocaine there's downsides this downsides everything. So when you move into mother nature and that forest catches on fire. Pope all the trees are gone. And then the floods come and wipe. Your house out. You knew that going in. You hope it didn't happen. But you know, it's a possibility night I on the other hand bought in the city where that really doesn't happen. And I enjoy the rain. I love the rain. I when my I was fired from Kayla's sex. They flipped formats, but like to say I was fired because that's dangerous. Yeah. It does sound more rebellious fired. It is Sam truly was fired. I mean, I I didn't have a job. They didn't say, hey, we're doing we're playing music for teenagers. Would you like to be the afternoon guy? And it wasn't a lay off with the idea you'd be brought back law fire load. How did they how did they tell you? They told everybody at a meeting. That's not true. Did you know what they were going to say before the meeting? I'll tell you what happened real quick two weeks before Kayla. Sex FM talk station, imploded management got together with everybody on staff is like literally eleven days before it happened. And they said, we know there's rumors going around the stations gonna flip. They're all falls were fine. We're on a great path. We got a lot of years coming. Don't worry. If you're going to buy a house get a house, you're going to get a car. Get a car. We're fine eleven days later. Over right, but wow, this they were they told Adam Corolla I because Adam girl was the morning guy. And they told atom on a Wednesday. They said Adam Friday is going to be the last day. We're going to do your show. The mid day show frost, Shannon, Frank and Tom leykis will be last show. And then the station goes to music for ninety hours before they start with deejays and Adam Corolla being the very cool, man. He is in in very good friend. And he says, well, what about Conway says, what do you mean us? Well, he's been here longer than anybody in the station. Doesn't he get a last show? And he said, well, no, we're ending it. Unlike on Friday, he doesn't get a last show and Corolla says, well that's not fair then give him Thursday to have his last show. That's pretty cool. Very cool. Yeah. Always remember. Did you have a conversation with them about that? When did they they told you I'm for you to do your last call in the office and said, hey, it's over on Wednesday. But tomorrow night, you can whatever you've been alley. Yeah. That's cool. Yeah. But anyway, but but the rain is great when I moved to Oregon after being fired relation. We they had a record thirty two straight days of rain in Oregon. It was a record for Oregon thirty two straight days of rain on the thirty third day. The sun comes out, and I was hoping for rain. I love it. I really enjoy. Bellio. The same way. Bellio loaves, the rain. She's old school. Like, I am. Right. You enjoy that. It puts me in a good mood, the more the better. Now you and I share that love love love your, and if you're driving in traffic as long as it's raining. It's it's great. I prefer it. Yeah. I enjoyed all right. We're live on.

"Ducks are in the pond rabbits in his. And monkeys. Good my car. Checked by insurance policy back over to Bob. I'm here with Bill home again. Bob tired, and we are at a point feel would you like to describe what just happened? I can't believe it. I can't believe it. We've been looking all day for these things. And all of a sudden they pop up written by the yellow headed Blackbird, and we got pretty good pictures of them too. I mean, I'm surprised we just braved some of the areas in North America. Wouldn't you say that bugs were as dense as far as they were? They were in fact, P soup, in fact, Watson was following us for a while. Really? Yes. But I'm hoping that. I'm hoping yellow headed Blackbird will call again. So that will be able to record that. I think that on this podcast, but we are probably only what twenty feet from marine. I see him bouncing around in this tree. I might just throw this record or down to the ground in to get some more pictures white. Oh, yeah. Yeah. That would be just pleasant for our listeners anyway. But this is about the last place. I expected to see him until you hear that gentleman. They're right there. There's another one up in the tree. Is there? Is it close to us? Yeah. I suddenly other side of the tree. So you can't see you. But that's amazing. Because here we were in the swap looking for him right where they should be. And I guess there is a cattail swamp this past this if we were to take another couple of feet we'd be up to our waist in pound water. I know this is really getting dangerous right here. I'm getting a little concern of starting to feel sort of a sucking action under my feet. Oh, that's NAFTA. Then the. Snakes. I don't know one from trees here. I don't know what mad instinct, let us here, except we did see a form of the goddess this. We did. And I think the gods assign. Yep. Ladies and gentlemen, that is our yellow headed Blackbird friend. And I'm hoping that comes out in the open again. I can see it. Maybe we can have a few words with it. Yes. That'd be an interview. Great in interview. Now, let's talk about some of the other birds that we saw I have a surprise observation about all that. Okay. I've gone birdie with you a number of times with some success. But I think in as is the theme of feather brain about learning about the journey. There's one oh my goodness. That is just a gorgeous thing. They're up here in the threes. Yeah. Go ahead. In. There. We were at nine point. I wasn't very optimistic within after two hours and twenty three minutes. There you run every bird out of that place. I did you Burdette it out. We there was an bird laughed run. There was I think we got them. All wow, we run them like a bell. I know that was very impressive. Listen, but we saw American bitterns. Yup. Two of us. They're calling occasionally it's not most stomach. No. I was gonna say sorta sounds like. Sounds like a red headed excuse me, a red wing Blackbird throwing up. Yeah. That's pretty accurate. Yeah. Wow. We run them like a bell. I know that was very impressive. Listen, but we saw American bitterns. Yup. Two of the least of it. That's the least of it. Because we also saw a least bitter bitter to two of them and. That's our hope you can hear a friend. They're calling occasionally it's not my stomach. No. I was going to say it sorta sounds like. Sounds like a red headed excuse me, a red wing Blackbird throwing up. Yeah. That's pretty accurate. Yeah. But this is the lie. I'll say it again. This is the last place I expected to see them because this is just some crazy easy. Little turn off that didn't look promising. And it was guarded by. That is one close by there up in the trees are they doing in the tree? Yeah. Well, he was very. Trees just because we're here. They're changing our habits. No, I forgot what I was gonna say some other little bird there, yellow warbler and something else. This is the kind of place where you think you might see like a yeti or something, I know it almost anything could happen suss squash. Let's see where that one is. No, no, no.
