"It's good to know. By the way, it is an interesting question, is there other than pride? Well, maybe you would know Sean, you follow this. So other than gay pride, well, LGBTQ pride. And American military pride. They do pink for breast cancer. So it's an interesting question. Okay, anyway, back to the Tampa Bay Rays. The rays added LGBTQ logs to the caps and rights leave their choices for the club 16th annual pride night celebration during Saturday night's game or Saturdays came and I added night. Against the visiting Chicago White Sox. However, 5 pitchers, Jason Adam, Jalen beaks, Brooks Rayleigh, Jeffrey springs and ray Thompson, refused to partake in wearing the one time worn uniforms, instead they stuck with wearing the race traditional blue and white colors. Adam, Jason Adam, a reliever who spoke on behalf of the group said, quote, a lot of it comes down to faith. To like a faith based decision, he also stressed that their decision was not the product of anti gay discrimination saying all are welcome and loved here. After last weekend's gained Tampa Bay Rays manager, Kevin cash said that he and the organization caught want to support our players that choose to wear or choose not to wear. To the best of our capabilities, that is impressive. We return. And talk of all the things we did today he is in love about our funny little ways while we have a few minutes to breathe all right. There we go. So I'm really an interesting story. Out of Tampa, the city I really like. So 5 Tampa Bay Rays apparently the only team. Is that right, Sean, no other, were you familiar with this? You're a big baseball fan. No, no, you notice that all the teams had LGBTQ patches and hats. Did you did you know about the Tampa Bay Rays 5 who didn't? So the news story is my knowledge of the only time. Yeah, so you did know. You heard, you heard it on the news? You remember who reported it? I don't know. Yeah, very curious. Anyway, so 5 pictures didn't. And it said, one of them, the spokesman for the group, a pitcher, Jason Adam, said a lot of it comes down to faith to like a faith based decision. It's not a product of any anti gay discrimination. All are welcome and loved here. And then the organization said, listen, it's up to you to choose to wear or not to wear. To the organization's credit. On Monday, another of the race pitchers, Nick Anderson, tweeted in support of his teammates sharing that everyone should be allowed to have different beliefs. It's astonishing to me, he tweeted. How people don't understand that different beliefs exist. And because you have different beliefs in no way, shape or form does that mean you look down on that individual or think they are lesser. You can love everyone and have differing beliefs. Anderson followed up on his comments by sharing a screenshot of a message. He wrote on his iPhone. When I say differing beliefs, I'm talking about the people who believe everyone would wear something, and if you don't, you should burn and are a terrible person or whatever name you want to call them. I was also saying that just because you don't wear maybe a said patch, doesn't mean you think those people should burn an are terrible people. Okay, I never once said I thought gay people were in born gay Anderson added. Or that homophobia.

radio My special guest this week is Adam Parker He is the founder of tri variant research previously he was global director of research and U.S. equity strategist at Sanford C Bernstein He was the number one institutional investor ranked analyst in semiconductors before he became Morgan Stanley's chief U.S. equity strategist and director of global quant research Adam Parker welcome to Bloomberg Thanks Thanks for having me here I've been looking forward to having this conversation for a while and I have to start with your very interesting academic background You have 3° in stats not just undergraduate at Michigan but a PhD from Boston University and in the middle you've got a master's in biostatistics at UNC Chapel Hill tell us about that Yeah well back then statistics wasn't as cool as it is now So I didn't know 30 years ago I was going to turn into all the rage and that everyone was going to kind of want to major in data science and analytics I was always more of a math guy and I liked having problem sets and then going and playing sports and I didn't want to have to read chaucer or whatever all the other miserable people were doing So kind of motivated me to be a little bit more analytical So but the question that raises biostatistics is where you always planning on a career in finance or was that you know that was more the biostatistics department was in the school of public health at UNC and applied statistics applying that age to mostly medical data But it was more about learning analytics and programming and apply it to anything So my PhD thesis was about missing data in a healthcare setting but as you know missing data exists everywhere including a finance So it turned out to be pretty applicable So how frustrating is it to you to see either newspaper headlines or social media where people just lack a rudimentary understanding of basic statistics and probability You know I think the big challenge is as you know because you're good at this is taking things that are somewhat complicated and then making them sound like they're simple and explaining them to everybody I think the average intellect of people watching and reading mainstream media is still in the junior high or high school level So that's what you've got to resonate with I romanticize the investment community is slightly above that but it probably is less above that than you think Right So I will talk about tri vary it a little later I love the name I wrote a Bloomberg column years ago Single variable analysis is for soccer So something like that And so I have to talk to you about your name Of course But with all that stat background how did you get to Sanford C Bernstein You know in those days I finished my PhD in the late 90s I had some buddies that seem to be getting rich on Wall Street and I didn't really know what they were doing And one of my best Friends worked at Stanford Bernstein and they were looking for somebody to write software and do analysis called quant research on equities And I interviewed there and I loved it just a bunch of crazy wild people who were brilliant and kind of a little bit on the edge of being unhinged as human beings And it was just kind of my jam And so you're so buttons up You don't sound like a crazy but it was effort and enthusiasm Just like getting the PhD berry it's basically 99% perseverance 1% intelligence And this was like you get in there and there was just no rules Find something interesting and write about it And so for me there's this database of information on hundreds of stocks and you could go in there and analyze it and reach conclusions always along the top market kept name and shift these against it or do this or just kind of empirically test everything and there was a bunch of incredibly brilliant people there So I loved it I loved the environment and I didn't even know what I was getting into to be honest with you And then from.

"You force the raise to kind of stretch out some of those other starters who haven't been as good. So I always try to be hesitant. It's so easy any sport baseball basketball hockey. It's so easy in any sport to look at game one and say, this is the pivotal pivotal game of the series. You know, this game is going to decide blah blah blah, whatever. And it's important, you want to get out to one nothing lead, but, you know, we've both seen series where game one feels like years before game, you know, even by game four, things can monumentally shift. So but in this one, it just because again, the way the rays pitching staff is structured and because it's only a 5 game series not 7, that game one assuming mcclain head is starting. I actually don't know if they've made that official, but assuming that clan a hand is starting to have they have okay. It feels incredibly pivotal. So they're bullpen. Leading the way is Diego Castillo, Andrew kittridge, Pete Fairbanks, JP fryers, and then a Dietrich ends. All of those guys have powerful arms and also Jeffrey springs in there as well. The guys that strike out the most kittridge by far and away, 77 strikeouts in 71 and two thirds innings. And you know, he's got 8 saves and 9 save opportunities. And as we know from Kevin cash, he is not afraid to go to the bullpen sometimes too early as we found out in game 6 of the 2020 World Series against the Dodgers. Kevin cash has got something on the line now too. He's trying to become the first Tampa Bay manager to win a World Series. And, you know, this franchise has been to two of them. And lost them both. And he would like to finally break through and give Tampa Bay a World Series. Don't you also think they're sort of a redemption element in this for him? Right after last year's great point. No question about that. However, a manager managing for redemption is a lot different than players playing for redemption themselves. I guess I mean that more in look, I don't know because baseball has been taken over by the nerds, but if he makes a similar decision, or if there's other wonky decisions that cost the raise the series, it should cost him his job. It won't because one, there's nobody to call for it in Tampa. The team has no fans. Into the nerds running the team will probably call him a genius and build a statue because they don't care about winning games. They care about bowing down to the math. But I do like you wonder how that factors in that element of he is the reason they didn't win last year. He cash is in the math is the reason cash's math is the reason they didn't win last year. And you wonder how that factors in. But I always forget, I go on the math tangents and then forget where I started. It was just so frustrating. But yeah, oh yeah. Alex. It's so I'm sorry. We all saw it. It was so stupid. And I hope I hope to raise lose because of the math again. And again, nothing will happen because the nerds love it and they don't care about winning. They care about doing their little calculations and try to prove how smart they are and the outcomes don't matter, right? In actual baseball knowledge doesn't matter because in my notebook it all worked and whatever, but please let the math costume. Okay, we gotta get some connections..

"I mean getting him from a division rival and he part of baseball's best bullpen and part of the reason why the razor leading all teams in bo- penn wars just that they have more innings from relievers rice. 'cause they basically don't have a rotation anymore. Don't really don't have a rotation outside of maybe shane mcclanahan. It's like shrews. their starter. At no you know. They're all just kind of pitchers at this point. It's tough to put labels on him. But jeffrey springs. And you know as you said like lookout landing. People were on policy weld yet. There is a deer as bay. Post by brian menendez from february. Where he said jeffrey springs could be a weapon for the two thousand twenty run raise and he went through some of the individual pitches that he throws well and some of the principles. And you know justified. Okay why did the raise get this guy. Although it's a little different to rate that post after the fact like after the raise get the guy because once the rates. Get the guy that you figured. Oh okay he's gonna be good now. We have to look for reasons. Why like what did they see him. You know it's a little tougher to do that. When you're just looking at someone who had a seventy are a in twenty innings and is not the as yet but there were reasons to think he could be cut and indeed. He was good. So that's the race for you and you know often they pick up these guys. They're they're not making much money policy while i believe is making the major league minimum or right around there. That's right it's you know when you can get like a a great laden guy part time closer for the league minimum that's Obviously something the raise wanna do and any team would be happy to do so. Yeah i figured we would have a couple. You know forty fifty inning perhaps flashes in the pan or perhaps not. but they've been great this year. Where do i wanna go next ban. Where do i wanna go. What direction should i take. I'm going to say that. My.

"Seattle's bullpen is fifth their their fifth. They're still quite good and still improbably ahead of the yankees. And the dodgers switches just delightful tampa is just destroy. Everyone would that bullpen. But as kevin goldstein wrote for us earlier today they are going to need to but they seem well positioned anyway. I i love bullpens and i love relievers because i think that we know so much. We know so much about baseball. We know so much more than we did ten years ago. We know so much more than we did like two years ago and i it can feel predictable and at times stayed but this whole exercise i think is proof that we are often spreads by things and where where better be surprised than than in a bullpen because relievers are such volatile and finicky creatures on average but this this mariners team is getting good contributions from like casey sadler nude casey sadler. Congratulations these policy. Walden i've never been able to say anthony measures last name correctly and so anthony i. He's my okay. That's more of an justed again. Drew stricken riders. So i i'm taking seattle's bullpen. I'm feeling so much better about the draft. Now is really nervous coming and drafter so fun but as we have seen sometimes you scoop pick from me and then dual exercising really rapidly. So i think you're adding an art to stick in writer right right. Oh gosh but that's the thing like we're drafting players. People don't know or don't strike stricken writer writer. Those those both sound like names. Those don't like human see while the is like that's incredible to me. He's been getting some saves in grave into absence but he came into this year having thrown one hundred forty seven third career innings all out of the bullpen. so it's not like some failed starter who just moved to the pan and now he's throwing harder something he's been a reliever along. Yup you had a five point five. Era entering this season with the mets. Now he did have better peripherals and like a four point zero four fifth in that span. So maybe he was a good bilo candidate but this is ridiculous so he's made some changes. I know there is a a fan crafts post about him a couple of weeks ago. Like about the the angle of approach of his fastball. Apparently it reaches the plate very steep angle that makes it hard to hit almost like a sinker sort of and so he's made some tweaks there and his has been pretty good and he's just he's good yeah he's throwing his slider a bunch more. He's basically eliminated as change. So there's been some repertoire changes I know that the the folks that look at landing have been on the seawall beat from very early on. So i'm go make sure to check out there too. 'cause it's been quite good but yeah he's just been this very pleasant revelation and You hate to get attached to those in the bullpen. because again famously but It has been quite necessary for seattle and He is really risen to the occasion so the mariners bullpen yup. Pick just like we all expected going into the year. Bumps thirty one to and this has happened unexpectedly. The mariners pen could go worst to first. Were wiser. I guess they were basically like tied with the marlins pen last year for worst. They were the worst in the american league. And yes down. I mean they may not people to catch up with with the raise this year. But they're in the running. Which is that's a good way to exceed expectations the way the mariners have like be very clutch and win a lot of one run games and have your bullpen. Just be completely remade on the flight. That can happen sometimes. All right well you talked about the raise pen there briefly i will take raise reliever and this is probably the last time that we would have an opportunity to talk about him because i believe he is out for the year. Unfortunately now jeffrey springs is a raise relief. Her this year and i would match a lot of our listeners. Or saying who. And there's always someone in the race penn who makes you say who and yet is really good. And if you sort by strikeout minus walk rate this year among relievers with a minimum of forty innings pitched. Jeffrey springs is number nine matt. Whistler of the raise is tenth so there are other good race in that bullpen. Of course policy weld is fifth. You know it's like hendrix. Okay kimbrel okay. Wrestle glacier cheshire then you get to policy wild in a few spots done that list. You get to jeffrey springs. Who has an acl injury. And so i think he has now done for the year so you will not be seeing him as part of that playoff mix. But it's incredible. Because great as jeffrey springs has been like he was not even a high leverage. Part of that penn lake. Right if you sort raise relievers this year minimum. Thirty innings pitched he was six out of seven in average leverage index. So like jeffrey springs of you know. He's like the mop up almost in the race pen and he is a top ten strikeout minus walk rate among all relievers this year and years. Just like the quintessential came out of nowhere. Got scrub from some other team. And then he goes to the race and he's an incredible reliever and maybe it's only for a single season. Maybe it doesn't last but they just find these guys year after year. And i don't know how they do it exactly. He is someone who was on the red sox last year and he had a seventy. Ira in just twenty games. You know he struck out a lot of guys. His peripherals were a lot better but he came into this year again. You know with eighty four and two thirds innings pitched five point four two yarra. I mean basically a seaworld and he had a three point four three year as this year before he got hurt he struck out sixty three batters in his forty. Four and two thirds innings pitched only walked fourteen. I mean hughes's having an incredible season and he was just another guy in that pen. Day traded for him in february from the red sox traded catching prospect rinaldo hernandez to the red sox with nick so card for springs and another reliever cris mazza who has not been great but springs..

"Dude was was looked every bit of mvp in the playoffs he. He dominated the playoffs but the way that it ended towards the end with blake style. Game six apologize for for bringing back bad memories but it does seem like it was that has something to do with the way that the off season Kind of rolled out. Snell obviously traded to san diego the race bringing a what seems like a plethora of veteran pitchers to throw spaghetti on the wall almost or mixed see if we can get one last one. Let's go out of these guys which to be honest. I don't doubt because tampa has been able to do that with multiple people. So yeah curious your thoughts ending the season and just just what that what that taste was going into the offseason with snell being traded. That's look i. It's one of those things. Where since knell has been off the roster we i guess thankfully haven't really had to relive game six because the the media isn't asking questions about a looking back on game six hair you entering this season so on and so forth. So it's almost into the yankees. Yeah yeah there. We go so Look i think that after game. Six things had kind of been ramping up to that point of blake snail. And the raise kind of okay. It's probably time for us to go our separate ways even though he to pretty much twenty nine other mlb teams. He has a very team. Friendly deal laughed with three years. Thirty nine million dollars on that contract. The raise aren't like every or every other organization out there and they're just been things with you know the when they traded tommy fan. He expressed his disappointment with that game. Six he he added. Scott boris as agent. Lot of things going on with that and he also expressed disappointment very vividly about not being able to go deep into ball games. And that's been the raise. Mo of ladies. Hey we're going to have starters be five guys. We're going to bring in the bullpen sixth inning and and try to close this up place now former cy young award winner. He wants to be able go seven and eight. He wants to get his chance at a complete game. And maybe he'll get that opportunity in san diego. I don't know but yet talk about throwing spaghetti on a wall because they of course not just traded blake's now for i think four very good prospects and players. That will definitely help this team. In time over the next several years they also opted not to bring back charlie morton on an option and i look i. I know this is sort of heartless in a way. I would have picked up. His option then traded him to the braves or somebody else and try to get something in return. But i guess there was so much mutual respect from both sides that they opted. Like if if we're bringing you back we're bringing you back to keep you. We don't want to bring you back and then give you this impression. You're gonna be on the team and then trade you a week or two or two or month later whatever. It is so what they've essentially done. Is they've unloaded payroll off the starting rotation and in return for veteran guys who have question marks have a history of success. But you just don't know what you're going to get from those guys. Whether it's chris archer column mccue michael walker Rachel the list goes on. And on. And i guess the idea and the thinking along those lines of and they brought in all those four guys for a combined. Thirteen point eight million dollars. Which is less than what charlie morton would've made At fifteen miles so really. What they're thinking is These four guys if they can give a combined four hundred fifty innings. The most that charlie morton is going to give you may be one seventy five. So you're going from sixty to one sixty two. We just need guys that can give us any in any way possible. That's part of the other part of it is they have a really really good stable of prospects in the minor leagues. That are going to be knocking on the door in the next couple of months. Whether it's shane mcclanahan josh fleming. Who saw a lot of action. Joe ryan lewis. Pitino brennan mckay brent honeywell lot of guys there that are chomping at the bit so once those guys are fully stretched out and inevitably once ritual. Goes down with something or chris. Archer goes down with something then they can start to bring those guys up sometime along midseason late season and hopefully had the depth to get through one sixty two so that's kind of what their line of thinking. There is while at the same time trying to save a buck or two. Which is the the raise way so to speak. Yeah yeah so. That's that's exactly you know everybody's looking at tampa and saying well. They lost morton. they lost snell. This is clearly going to be the yankees division. this is and which. I don't disagree. I think it is the yankees division to lose at this point. But that being said tampa has has been able to turn these no name guys in their bullpen. Into you know the the quote horse the stable of horses and and they've they've been able to make a lot from very little or they'll identify a guy who's had injury history and for whatever reason make some tweaks change his. You know his situation within the team and gotten a lot out of him. They've they've been able to add a lot of value from from. I'd say little and that's i think that's one of the big strengths from from kevin cash and an organization. So when i see that snell is gone and that morton is gone. Yes it's a. It's a hit to the team. But i have no doubt that they're going to fill that piece with someone else and probably someone of never heard of and this guy's gonna come in and you know this guy or these guys and and do well. It's just they have a track record of doing this. And the fact that you know they got archer wocka hill mchugh like you mentioned. It's possible that one of them have a bit of a resurgence would not surprise me. If archer all of a sudden found you know a little bit more of a semblance of being a pitcher and had some success so is by no means take them take them for granted and and i think that they are going to be a very serious threat in the in the division so curious. Your thoughts on what your expectations are for the specifically with this new New rosser yeah. That that's a. That's a great question a great point and i go back to like last year. Who would have thought that ryan thompson. John curtis and erin sleepers would be a thing that they would have success. Nobody had really heard of these guys beforehand and then we see them and they have a media success and it's like well maybe the rays have found some something and i think that's what they're going to do again with guys like jeffrey springs and chris maza and a bunch of volk guys and the other thing. Too with that is I know that nick anderson that bad news about him. He's going to miss at least half the year with what he's dealing with elbow issues and the rays have to find a new defacto closer. Which i think you know between fairbanks and casteel. They should be able to do but they also have guys. That aren't getting talked about this year. That are have been contributed to the raise in the past and are expected for big roles in the bullpen. Cody raid for example andrew. Kitchen chaz roe. Those guys are finally healthy and ready to go. So that's going to be big for them. I think you know you look at the rotation wanted to five definitely isn't a top ten rotation anymore maybe not even a top fifteen rotation but i think the they have so many arms that can pitch in and fill in that. I think they'll find a way to get through. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if they've got like ten or guys by end of the year that have like eighty ninety one hundred indians between them. I think there's going to be a lot of guys that are going to be pitching a lot of innings in a lot of nixon. imagine from that standpoint. I think this is to be again for going from sixty to one. Sixty two While the rate on paper at least they're starting staff and maybe not even their their bullpen anymore. It doesn't look as elite as in last year. I think you know. Come to the dog days of summer. September august you get late in the season where i think teams are going to be hampered by injuries and ailments And it's going to be like a nfl season where it's just like..

"A visit window robin dot com So the Mets needed some lousy damaging to really wait the bats up and they did really, with only two of the pictures that they saw last night that you made his first major league start longtime reliever And then Jeffrey Springs. They hit the three home runs, which gave him all their runs. Conforto hit that bomb. Tom Smith and the robot home run really were all bombs in many ways. The only negative is that after that, I think it was once heat. Embry came in the game in the fourth inning. The bats went to sleep. What forces for shutout innings? I think he threw last night after the fourth inning. I did nothing. I think they've got maybe one or two. It's after that, that maybe we've got a hit in the ninth inning. And you were you were you were a little concerned. I mean, obviously, Walker was terrific. I mean, you take away only pitched five innings, but you give up that one homerun with seven. Nothing leader had no issue with that. Kemal and I thought he pitched really well. I thought that was good to see. I thought Shreve pretty well. I give up the homerun tube again had a big lead solo home run, And then that was all he gave up. After that it was to a Bogart's So I thought he did a good job familiar, obviously was not good. Those typical unless I mean you just right now. It's so far. It's gone. Toil. Okay, Pretty much, you know, familiar, and D as Yu right now, Through four games, you say I got no confidence in them. And obviously you got complete confidence in set Luego and again. I liked what we saw from chasing Shreve last night, but that was okay. I don't know what he is yet, but I thought he did a decent job. He stinks. Don't get used to it, but he put up a wall of saying is you get a decent job last night over? Sure, sure. I'm not going to kill him for last night. But he's not a major league pitcher. Onion what you are right that the relievers from last year basically doing the same thing. Justice Wilson's off to a good start South. Lu goes off to a brilliant start and after familiar and Diaz gave you little tease with their first performances. Their second performances have been awful. I mean, yesterday familiar comes in with a big lead. He walks J. D. Martinez on five pitches. Endeavors rips that double and in Lugo's gonna bail him out. Yeah, And so you're forced in a game in which I thought in the fourth inning. This could be a laugher. This could be the opposite of the night before. You know, they're up seven. Nothing. The Red Sox deep into their bullpen. They've got no arms. Walker looks great. This could be last night Reverse. And while they won the game, and that's great, but it wasn't it turned into a relatively close game to the point where Louise RoHaas needed luego to get four outs. He ends up going 22 pitches. So who knows about his availability today? But the reason I'm not surprised RoHaas went toe walk, it went toe logo is at the early returns on Louise RoHaas. Is that he is not afraid to know, veteran like Robinson Cano and basically tell him with his actions. You're not the same Robby Cano. Well, I didn't hear this said, but when he said it, roll us, But what did the guy said it last night? Maybe was Gary met one of them. That when Roland's got here, he basically said, You're gonna have to check your ego at the door and, you know, so far we have seen that. I mean, you didn't play suspicious last night he's dropping when I was to me could know doesn't play tonight. If you're going to take somebody out of the lineup tonight, I would sicken. Oh, Play McNeil. It's second base. Put Dom in left field. J D Place. Third cess pit is th is that would be me tonight? Yeah, I'm not sure I would, though, how he's going to act because there's a left hander on the mound today bought, you know he wasn't afraid from starting Dom Smith yesterday. So you gotta level the amount I'd rather see. Don Smith it then it will Smith at the home run off a left yesterday, did no, I know. I got to see Smith play then. Cono could also hit anybody right now. And Robby Cano is not completing games, which I think meant as I've been finishing the game's defensively now weaken, you know, kind of second guess and I'm still kind of debating when is the right time to go to the defense of alignment. When you're only off by a run? We saw that the Saturday game was quick and Yoda was quick. He was quick is in the eighth inning in that game with the Mets only up by a run. Here's Jake Marisnick getting an at bat. Here's Andres Jimenez getting an at bat, but what I like and I think this is why I was confident He's not going to be married to Diaz. Is that he's hitting Robinson Cano seventh and pulling him in latent games for defense. Let that marinate your head for a little bit. Robbie Conal, who's making $20 million a year. You know that big trade that Brody made a year and 1/2 ago. He's batting seven, though, and being pulled for defense. Wait, son. It's only four games again. Don't you know? Four games. The early for GAM. Return on Louise Roll Haas to me is positive. Right now and here. I think this guy's got a chance to be a good manager. I think he's got a chance now. I'm not saying he's going to be saying that through the 1st 4 games based on somebody stuff you're talking about Robby what he did last night, but it was not seen the as. You know, even sitting says finish yesterday, which turned out to be the right move because don Smith's it's a three run, alma, you know, so I s so far. You know, I like what I see from Roz so far. Yeah, And I think he's gotta use a luego. Not as the quote unquote closer, but is the guy you bring into a game in the biggest spot of the game? It's justice was that cannot be in the rotation. I mean, I understand and the kids going Peterson against is going to pitch tonight. Joan. I've heard a lot of people say divergence on different places. I will see the names of the guys that I've heard say, but you know, Luego should be in a rotation. He's the second best picture on a team. You know what? That's why I want him in his bullpen because he's so versatile in the bullpen. He's the one guy in a bullpen. Deny Guy have confidence in if you had to go two, maybe even three innings. On and and so I need him, especially in the state of the game today. What good is luego going out there and pitching five tremendous innings, you know, or six innings like match there the other day and then at the end of the day, he added that the end of the day the bullpen winds up giving a game up. You know that that's that's me. And I set my mind in this season with the way this team is built with the lack of trust in the arms that they have. That's where he makes the most sense. No question. Is it a different debate in 2021? It may be it may be, But right now I know I know it's only two games in terms of how much they've pitched. Nothing has changed with generous Familia. Ned Windy, has not looked at the two games Theywant. To me. It's no coincidence where Luca was involved. Yeah. And look last night in the eighth inning after Mitch Moreland got that R B I single to make it a 74 game That was the biggest pot of the game. And that's where you you, Seth Luego, and sometimes the biggest spot in the game is going to be in the sixth inning. Sometimes it's going to be in the eighth inning. That's when you You said he's already shown you not just this year in a couple of games, but last year Put him in a big spot. You can trust him to get a big out now. The question's going to be, though, Joe. He threw 22 pitches last night tonight, especially when you've got a kid making his major league debut. You're probably not. Getting a lot of innings out of Peterson will see Is he able to go backto luego tonight? And if so, let's say he is in the game. How much can he actually picked? You probably wouldn't get more of it than it ending on a luego tonight. So if you want to use Luego tonight is the closer strict ninth inning closer. I got no problem with that.
