And it's very interesting that Curtis and Curtis Lee while later wound up doing radio with Jeffrey, so it's amazing how things work in show business. But it's also interesting to note that Curtis Sliwa turned Jeffrey Slam From this morning already into a campaign ad. Very interesting..

city overnight despite a curfew imposed Macy's in Herald square was among the stores target also Fordham road in the Bronx also the big three as you heard in Joe's newscasts trump to governors your week gets off and go arrest people he threatens to send in the military to bring peace to the streets he also tear gas is peaceful protesters near the White House and that was so he could walk to a nearby church and holds up a Bible for a photo op they were they were in the final they were in defiance of the curfew another words okay no I got an email from someone is that absolutely not that was not the the curfew was not in effect yet but you tear gassed peaceful protesters so you can have a photo op with the Bible okay and rounding up the battery they didn't get out of the way nothing else is going over the edge yes so you can have a photo op with the Bible yep that's great and rounding out the big three the latest from New Jersey phase two isn't until June fifteenth that's going to be looking forward to Erica Hey come in I got a twenty three Michael not gonna pick songs that make us happy he was deemed to be the winner yesterday we have another cliche song today and we'll see what Michael comes up with so that's coming up three all right let's go to Jeffrey Lichtman one of our faves how you doing today Jefferies of famed attorney has a lot to say about a lot of stuff what's on your mind today Jeff good morning Hey guys thanks for having me I I would say that the genuineness of the generally annoyed is how I feel now that were almost twelve weeks into the lockdown and now all of a sudden we're getting the looting in the writing the lockdown for the virus wasn't enough so we have to get this this other kick in the junk so that's sort of been frustrating and you know what's interesting I notice is that the Blasi own Cuomo when they were screaming at us you have to wear masks you have to wear masks and otherwise yourself with your church you're this you're that and then the Blasi went into the U. she was and they were arresting the orthodox because they were praying in a close tight group without wearing masks remember that that was like what two weeks ago yeah for some reason when there's thousands of looters and rioters on the street without masking they're destroying New York City you're hearing Cuomo saying that you know these are they're decent people the search or idealistic they're not sons they're young people with idealism why are they arresting any of them just for not wearing the mask they don't even arresting them for for the looting and rioting so it's incredibly frustrating that this is happening New York city's article clearly I mean we're seeing this every single night and there's been almost you know I consider a very weak effort that they refuse the Cuomo to bring in the National Guard they're having the NYPD deals at the offices are getting beaten on the streets hello this is New York you've got leadership that doesn't really care about new Yorkers the side with the thugs and either just destroying the city the destroying property values going to businesses which were already destroyed because they've been closed for the last twelve weeks and you've got these leftist scum politicians who have these national aspirations that's why the Blasi own Colo or not siding with new Yorkers on this instead are siding with the leftist scum because they look at New York is there with their roles now their jobs now it's just a stepping to don't the national aspirations in order to become a big deal Democratic Party now you've got to align yourself with you know the radical left yes Jeffrey we got a curfew at eight o'clock tonight do you think that is going to so to ease things up in the city or do you expect more looting more violence more pro testing just people blowing through the curfew at eight o'clock that's exactly what I expect I mean look it's it sucks because you know the one thing that both sides can agree upon is George Floyd whatever he did he passed it to a bad twenty dollar bill allegedly he didn't deserve to have some **** cop with his knee on the swirl Wiley screaming for his mother that he can't breathe both sides can agree with that but the looting in the writing and that the mayhem and the Savitri all that's come from it it just it just reinforces the positions of both sides the side that felt that you know that a racist they're gonna think well look this is what these people do is order to continue to crush their skulls it's very very said nothing is gonna change the only way this changes Michael is it the military comes in and literally goes bonkers and that's what has to happen because you don't you we cannot survive in the city were sinking into the mud in New York City and it's not gonna come back business as usual when things open up again all of the store fronts they're going to remain closed because people haven't had an income for months now and now they're gonna have the property damage and and and all the money they've lost from the looting on top of it you're just gonna remain close that's what New York City is going to be dramas attorney Jeffrey Lichtman now Natalie was saying she loves guess like you who come with their own sound bites so here's the sound bite you brought us this morning and then you can discuss on the other side the young people who still have idealism and want to make this nation better and that's a good instinct and it should be encouraged there you go this is this is such an honor low life I mean such a disgusting wire the fact that he's standing with the rioters and looters against honest hard working new Yorkers I frankly just think it's beyond belief and the blasier's daughter you see that she got arrested I mean I saw that if you see the mug shot I mean he looks like a wild animal she's got a phone through your nose he's got a a Mohawk the young the manager with the the mayor and his wife and they claim they had no idea that she was going to be going out to the protest they call protests rioting and getting arrested this is really some sort of currency to the lesbian and the giant balloons so that the the it is I mean when you look at this and this he says he's proud of her how would you like to be in New Yorker who just lost his business after twelve weeks of being locked down just had it destroyed and you've got the mayor saying that he's proud of one of the riders they are not with us and this is this is not a political issue I mean when I look look I'm as socially liberal I know that you're a Democrat I was for you know thirty years and Michael you're on the other side you're conservative this is not a political issue the fact is we cannot allow New York to be destroyed by these animals we just simply can't otherwise would you work all these years what exactly do you think what's going on now in the streets could possibly lead to the election of a Republican mayor as opposed to one of these far leading left wing nut cases like a Cory Johnson you know it takes it takes a lot from New York City to go against you know their natural instincts which is to write a letter the lowest the leftist slop that they can this was truly any look like and I paid him since I was a lawyer because he was a horribly dishonest prosecutor and obviously he's insane and crazy now but Israel takes new York's falling into the mud before they'll consider hiring a warning order mayor but it's getting close I just don't think that new Yorkers will ever do it again I think they had a chance to see even the lawyers are getting arrested now throwing balls yeah what's with that it's it's saying that you've got now we're at the point where a lawyer who had a a Princeton the educated NYU law we're getting arrested for this one I thought the most interesting part which of course did not come up come up in the the leftist news is that the woman lawyer who who flew or was throwing the Molotov cocktails picture she was wearing one of those Palestinian terror scorched all ends up hello this is H. yeah look at look at the picture of her with the bud light Molotov cocktail she hates Israel she's written about how much she hates Israel and incredibly it's the Palestinians are blaming this if you can believe they're claiming what happened in Minnesota on Israel because you're claiming that the the Israel trainings of American continent which is complete the slander but this is what the world has become a Palestinian loving Palestinian terrorist court wearing lawyer is throwing a Molotov cocktail at police well always entertaining I Jeffrey let me just recap some of the legal terms he used the last few minutes use slop scum and socks and I guess you learn that all law school but thanks Jeff appreciate you keep voting form did you know but it's people like you I love you and I know that you have your heart in the right place as I did all those years voting for you know the leftist weaklings like to **** isn't Paul Tongass remember him another use all right we gotta run the Jeffrey two all right thanks Jeffrey Lichtman frame that's already thank you get back "They're talking with daily news. The defense attorney Jeffrey Lichtman or one of them for El Chapo, he says, of course, we will appeal it the fights not over will continue to fight for Joaquin Guzman until our last breaths, I guess that means they've been paid for quite a long time. He's got plenty of money. So I would presume well, I mean, he must have have it somewhere. But I imagine the federal government got their hands on a bunch of it as much as they possibly could the stories about these cartel guys. They've got so much. They just brooms full of it so much that the rats are chewing into it. That's right. He said grounds for appeal could include restrictions placed on the defense during cross examination of the government's cooperating witnesses. That sounds familiar doesn't it. Oh, yeah. We, of course, paid close attention to another so-called, drug Lord trial of Rasoul Britt, who of course, wasn't a drug Lord at all. He wasn't a violent person. There was no evidence that he was violent in any way. He just ran a website that allowed people to buy and sell drugs and a few other things on the internet. It was called the silk road. It was the first website of its kind and underground truck marketplace that actually my opinion need make things safer in the world of of illegal drugs. Probably actually. Saved lives. But nonetheless stake used him of being a kingpin because they trotted out allegations about Russell bricked claiming that he had hired somebody to commit murder, even though there was no actual evidence for that. And they ended up dropping those indictments or never even filing them. Or whatever was there was never a charge of murder brought against Ross it, but they tried to paint him. As though he were there was a charge brought against him. But it was dismissed with prejudice after the trial. Okay. So what they did was it you could believe the conspiracy theory here, but they brought the charge before trial to be able to say this guy's a murderer. He's a murderer convicted. Yeah. After they get the the conviction, then they dropped the charge. So right either. Well, it sounds it sounds to me very much like the government's incompetent, right? Like either. They can't convict this guy. The key convicted murderer on the flimsy evidence today brought forth or they were just, you know, throwing this out there. It's totally what's really gross. So I mean to compare these two is just ridiculous. But yet Rasoul brick who has never harmed another hair on another human being in his entire life is in prison for two life sentences. I think plus forty years so it'll be interesting to see what their sentence of Mr. Guzman is going to be in comparison to again, El Chapo found guilty today. He said that again, they were restricted from what they could cross examine on the government attorney the government witnesses and the defense in the Russell also crippled. Yeah. This is a real real real problem here in the United States is that. You know, in many times people think people think you've get a fair trial and the deck's stacked against you. I mean, why is the prosecution preventing the defense from saying things? I mean, what are they scared of exactly they're they're not going to go to prison at the end of this. He also cited the quote avalanche of evidence handed over by prosecutors and US district court judge Brian Cogan rejection of their request for more time. Quote, we could barely Wade through it in another language. It was an incredibly difficult to even get prepared for this trial. I've never faced a case with so many cooperating witnesses. I've never faced a case with so much evidence. We did all that we could it just wasn't enough today. And once again this rings familiar, do you remember Mark that at the beginning of the Russell trial? It was literally like the weekend before the trial started that the prosecution was like, here's the here's the evidence. Here's your discovery plunk with literally like, I don't know how many tomes of evidence that Ray had against Russell bricks, and they they had like a weekend to go through this. So no way anyone. And now they're saying they couldn't even do. It was in a different language apparently. Then what the the attorneys speak? He said Chapa was quote, strong and handled. The conviction. Well, he said, quote, he's as cool cools accu- number this guy, we were more upset than he was lawyer had less to say about his wife who bolted from the courthouse instead of walking out with the defense team as had been her custom during the trial. He said, quote, Emma is look none of us are children. We all knew this day was coming. We were hopeful that it wasn't going to come because mon- Laura's bloody reign atop the Sinoloa. Cartel has come to an end said US attorney, Richard Donahue. And he said further that the myth and the myth that he could not be brought to Justice has been laid to rest. He said further quote today. Guzman Laura has been held accountable for the tons of illegal narcotics. Traffic for more than two decades, the murders he ordered and committed and the billions of dollars he reaped while causing incalculable pain and suffering to those devastated by his drugs. Now, if it weren't Guzman, Laura, if it weren't El Chapo, then it would have been someone else. So you can take you can take the Queen or the king off the chessboard. And then all of a sudden the job opening. Yeah. The rooks going to step up, or you know, the night or whoever it is. Somebody's gonna step up somebody from within the cartel ranks are gonna stop going to step up or the cartel will splinter and become more than one cartel. These are the things that happen in real life. So says meaningless I mean by the looks of it Chapo doesn't seem too concerned about this. So he may he can do. Well, he seems to be really cool on this license. They're gonna break him out. No, I think that he likes so many gang leaders is going to run the organization from inside prison. Ma'am. Well, there's definitely a lot of history to suggest that that's possible. Right. And it's probably not hard.

"It won't be as warm today in the days ahead. Bad news today is we had a crash already on the inbound upper level of the WB. And you're backed up at least an hour. What else is new gives you more time to throw things at the radio when real speaks. Hey, excuse me. Good morning, Michael. How are you? Good. Yeah. Yeah. Hey, me, not Lynn. We heard this story yesterday about there was a body found in a suitcase at bound up. Well, they've now identified the woman as Twenty-four-year-old Valerie race from West Chester who is missing since January twenty ninth shoot her clothed body was discovered inside a large suitcase. And of course, it was found in a very pro pricey part of town in Greenwich. But I was listening to an I don't know why. But I happened to me listen to another radio station, and they said the police suspect that might be homicide, and I said what I think of hands or bandages in a suitcase. I don't think she went there by herself. Did they have any suspects? They're looking. But here's here's her mom. It was eating us up every single day every single night not knowing if she was eighty or not not knowing if she was colder, you know, it was it was really hard every single night for me issues from new Rochelle. And this is the victim is a Valarie Rae is this is the mom, he's not a just going to random places or random people. She's not like that. Yeah. Norma Sanchez is the name of the mom amazing. Amazing. Amazing and not because she's my daughter. Beautiful soul. Twenty-four-year-old Valerie race. Now. Of course, the search is on for for who the person who committed the crime is hopefully, they'll find so El Chapo hugged his lawyers yesterday, your buddy. Jeff John Jeffrey Lichtman is hugging his lawyers because adding them down. Well, because there's no verdict yet we went a week with no verdict. No. And you know, sometimes they say longer longer goes on the more. It's likely that there's gonna be a hung jury or the guy's going to get acquitted. I mean, can you imagine if El Chapo is acquitted? I mean, if I were on the jury, I'm going not guilty, of course. But that would be amazing because I do have to say, you know, the evidence was pretty strong against the little chapel there. According to the post, the diminutive drug Lord, flashed a huge grin as he engulfed defense attorney Jeffrey Lichtman, and the dramatic embrace in Brooklyn federal court, whacking the lawyers back so loudly it caught the attention of the whole courtroom. There's some descriptive writing in your New York Post, Jeffrey Lichtman, your buddy, have you talked to him. No, I have not gotten a little trouble there because his texts with one of his former clients attractive woman came to light remember that has sort of sex texting. Unfortunately, he's married with kids. Well, that's a little awkward. What do you say to them? Hey, good job. Jeff. I haven't heard from me awhile. Hope. How's it going? Judge a person by the company he keeps a way to go. Michael. What are you talking about? A lawyer memorial takes clients are the goddess El Chapo, that's pretty cool. He's a lawyer you take on bad guys chopping, chapels a bad guy. Casey listening. Jerry is still out. Absolutely. You're listening L. He gave the jury the day off today. They're gonna come back Monday. We'll see they don't work on Friday. What kind of places that? We get Fridays. Exactly Friday off. Now, we go ahead. Tell I said it was okay. Out of here. Let's see if they come back on Monday. We'll see. We had this crazy Lenny Dykstra story. I mean, this guy's been off the rails championship and eighty six everyone. Joe grilled him on this program. Jodi, nailed him. He said, I will you because he wrote a book the Dykstra did. And Joe on this program said you're not a role model. He's a bad guy. And you hit them with it. And he said read the book read it. Wow. Joe turn into Tim rustler right before. I'm Joe Joe nail them. I was just playing along nicely. Judges went for the jugular, but. His neighbors in Linden. New Jersey are all upset. They say Everson. See? Well, there went the neighborhood. They said it's a drug Dan in the house is a mess. Dykstra claims. The neighbors are just jealous of him because he's really turned the house into a nice looking property anyway, so what he did on his on his Twitter site instead of just answering any of the any of the critics he just posted names of songs..

"Capital. Seventy seven. Don't you feel? We just finished three months. The court case she gets a little chapel Pablo shorty Guzman that it's like a Clint Eastwood spaghetti west. We need telenovela music as well. Because it was I mean, we weren't just talking about all the drug action. We were talking about the salacious things going on behind the scenes with Goumas as you call them. And why and all sorts of just wonder if the good the bad the ugly. The one thing we learned over and over from all the cooperators who flipped the script to join team America will soon be in witness protection for their efforts. Serving you short PGE in Laramie, Wyoming with a different name, different identification. And they were all basically saying that the pathway to success for Pablo shorty Kunsman, aka El Chapo was bribing police. Bribing the military bribing the president with a million dollars. And it almost reminded me of that faith. Famous film. Remember Humphrey Bogart in Sierra Madre. Wherever all. The police. The police badges batches Wayne got Novartis. We don't need. No vouchers. Coming closer. What didn't try to do you any car? Why don't you talk to little more polite? He was gone and William peace ain't my gun myself. Throw that over here way to pick it up on gone our way. Anyway, without my gonna go quick. That was yell Chapa away. So if you couldn't end up catching him, which the authorities will always attempting to catch you would end up bribing you or he would end up buying the law enforcement, whether the local regional the national law enforcement show that law enforcement which on his on his. And obviously advocate Sheri's of people who are saying, hey, we got to do something about this is the world's biggest stroke deletion of the top ten Forbes billionaire list, and we found out some not that we needed any sort of enlightment on Nexico being corrupt. But I mean, we really found out just how corrupt it is. And it reaches up to the executive offices there. I mean, not just one but two presidents reportedly were bride hundreds of millions of dollars. I mean, it's it's like mind blowing. But the interesting thing I thought was that the DA and the Mexican military made a real effort to keep all the information away from the local police because they were the real corrupt ones. Politicians to the elected officials almost Saikia had to operate completely independently and autonomously of the rule of law because the rule of law had been bought by not only L chapel, but many other cartel capitals that he was battling on a regular basis. And the interesting another interesting thing is that so many of these people that worked for him that either continued to work for more turned on had serious plastic surgery that was one of the themes through the trial, and these people were having like faces melted down reconstructive plastic surgery to the point where one guy it was his third plastic surgery. I mean, major surgery and he finally stopped because he was bleeding out on the operating table. We'll look like remember the cat woman who had had twelve different facial. Yeah. Least but many of them did they also tried to have their fingerprints. Yeah. Transplanted by cutting off their fingertips, and they had issues with circulation blood circulation. I guess I'd rather blood circulation issues than being murdered by L chop shops up into a million pieces. But anyway, Jeffrey Lichtman was one of his lead defense attorneys in his summation before the jury that will I don't believe they're going to be sequestered, which to me, I'm saying to myself, we don't know their names, we don't know their identities because this fear that they could be under threat that obviously their family members could be under threat of those who are sympathetic or on the payroll of El Chapo, Pablo shorty, what can I tell you one thing this early on in the trial. Remember, we heard about that one juror that just lost it? She started crying pleading for them. So that that particular juror who said that many people that she worked with like a hundred people that she worked with came up to her and said, we you're probably one that pool they were able to easily figure it out. So they're thinking if if my colleagues are able to figure it out excuse me, I mean. Obviously easily. Hartaway don't understand this. This guy has had judges killed. He's had prosecuted killed in Mexico. He has had witnesses killed and yet we have determined not to she question. The jury at least my knowledge stand to be corrected. If anybody out there knows anything that's different about this trial on numbers. Eight hundred eight four Ray WABC that's eight hundred eight four eight nine two two to hear that the state marshalls the US marshalls rather were shuttling them back and forth between their homes and the courthouse. I mean, how easy is that to figure out easy? I don't know. I'd be horrified. Jeffrey Liqun which had his own series of problems affecting his school motto on the side. And he asked. In his closing arguments for the second time he kept referring to public. Who's a midget as a person of short stature because he was claiming look at this person. He sold small what they were attributing him to do a beating up men with his bare hands, you know, taking a switch and beating them within an inch of their life. Is she capable of doing that? I would imagine if you're El Chapo is attorney you're probably clearing things with him before you say any sort of controversial comment. I that's what I would do. But this Jeffrey Lichtman guy, he's come after you. I mean, he thinks he's super guy. He thinks he's like defense attorney of all. You have no worries out there that jury would be intimidated because the problems in this case, a really the problems said the defense has and Pablo shorty goose Guzman, aka. The guilty one as he should be. Well, you know, it's not easy. Have the same problem with Godley as I said, they're ready to convict before we even did opening statements, but both sides of the prosecution and the defense or or looking for jurors that are capable of putting everything out of their minds focusing just on what they see inside that courtroom during the pendency of the trial. And we've got a judge who was eminently fair. I can tell you that he is fair as any judge I've been in front of and he's doing his best to make sure that both sides get a fair trial and more importantly that the defendant gets treated fairly, and and I I have no complaints. I believe early on the Guzman attorneys, I'll chop those attorneys actually said they promised that El Chapo would not murder. Anyone? They went in open court, and they said, we promise on behalf of our client Pablo shorty Guzman, aka El Chapo that he will not try to kill you. Mr. judge the charging of arms here any of the prosecuting US should turn. Would make me feel better. I give you my word that my client will not try to whack any of you know, any of the jurors or the alternate jurors. Yeah. But now the site issue of this whole trial has been his wife who obviously is living the life alleging the government has been unable to pin down where the billions of Narko terrorist narcoterrorists dowager Pablo goose mom and his family has secured away somewhere in the world. They haven't been able to find a dime of it. And yet his wife who has been at the trial almost every day. Staying at five star hotels. I mean dining being wined and dined equate expanse on her own platinum credit card American Express. I mean, they haven't been able to seize his assets. And yet she's obviously spending that well, I would imagine that. There are probably people that are taking care of her making sure that she has everything she needs in his absence. And by the way, they've been married for twelve years. She hasn't seen him much twelve years. I mean, he's either been on the run or he's been in jail or escaping jail. But are they really? Exchanging Google is. Yeah. Except for the days when he had his side pieces on they're crying about how how sad she was when she realized that he wasn't truly in love with her anymore. Well, now that we have had three months offense on top of if you have some of the worst testimony imaginable that you have about what a human being is capable of doing killing maiming the whole nine yards knowing that he's sitting on billions of dollars out there knowing that the president tomorrow in the state of the union address is going to bring everything back to the wall. I need the money for the wall. If he could be who've just knowing this guy is going to be found guilty on some counts on every count. But on some counts and doing triple life without parole in Florence a maximum security prison in Colorado, which is all underground. You cut a deal with the guy for the billions of dollars. He's sitting on because he'll go to jail and his family will continue to exploit cartel continue to make kazillion said outlets as sunshine doing in Mexico. And so what we take one working part out Pablo's, you already close Mon El Chapo, and yet his family continues to prosper anything he so altruistic that he would take the bullet for them that he would he would say, you know, what I'll I'll make a plea deal. I'll tell you where all my money is hidden away because I want my family to to continue on living free. I mean, I think he's kind of guy that's going to do. The president has been asked interview on she Bs Woody shutdown with Maduro the dictator there in Venezuela who took over for Chavez, the former bus drivers slash bartender. He said, no. But I think it would behoove the department of Justice to sit down with L chaplain. Say you sitting on billions. Give us access to the billions of dollars. And we'll set you up like we have dictators tyrant despot who've killed before. So and put you in a location where you're not going to be a harm to yourself or to anyone else. Yeah. So I've honestly you have a I mean sort of the path to Jeffrey Lichtman did defense attorney he has insulted. You you have insulted him many times on why not bring this up to him. Why not say Jeffrey because no, I don't because I don't know anybody is working on this on your behalf. So Jeff he doesn't want to be known as working for cooperating client somebody who's cooperating with the government, the two kinds of criminals, Jeffrey, it's not about Jeffrey. It's about this country. Jeffrey could look like a hero instead of a creepy. But he his he fancies himself is not representing rats. If all of a sudden a deal will work out way, choppy fancies himself, not representing rats. He's representing no fence. All chapel. I a murderer torturer drug dealer killer as he did Gotti junior and other. Then Representative from one eight hundred eight four eight WABC that's one eight hundred eight four eight nine two two. Probably a lot of what we're going to talk about is El Chapo attorney's closing arguments today. They didn't present much of defense as we told you one witness, and they didn't seem to challenge the prosecution case much, but it looks like this guy put on a bit of a show today for the jury. Yeah. This lawyer is named Jeffrey Lichtman, and he spent a lot of time saying that is may Al Zimbater is the real leader of the snow Sinoloa cartel and somebody's never been captured. He's still on the most wanted list L Myo is his nickname. He talked more about how Zimbabwe is a bad guy. And I'll Chapo is just a scapegoat. Molly there now. "But that's still gonna kill each other for territory. Yeah. But if they're only killing each other, and there's a lot of people working for for the jugs right within the country and exporting can't beat the drug cartels. Probably not. I mean, how many presidents have tried some of them have tried some of them haven't. But but but it's obvious drug cartels have more soldiers. They've got more weapons. They've got more money. They can buy off everybody from top to bottom. They kill all the journalists and the kill local officials who complain. And I think he's looking at it and saying I can't win this. The Mexican government can't win. This battle. Anybody that's working on my side is likely to get bribe to switch sides. You know, I got knows how many billions and billions this drug industry is really worth. We never know because they fire file public paperwork and pay taxes on it now. So it could be it could be I mean, if they had one hundred million dollars to give to the old Mexican president. Blow off that check with not even not even blink. Yeah. That's small numbers. Yeah. It says here Anglo, the president of Mexico. It's been focusing a lot of his efforts to try to stop fuel theft apparently cost the country many billions every year. I guess people actually tap into few lines illegally fuel pipelines, and they steal fuel. I did see. There was another is long gas lines there like there used to be in our country years ago, and there's high prices, and so then I guess it's so bad. People are stealing fuel. Molly crane Newman from the new York Daily News. We're running out talking to her because it's it's right. Think we're we're done the defense closing argument occurred. Yeah, she actually says the Jeffrey Lichtman, he's the lawyer for El Chapo was near tears. He put on a big show today. Does he tried to urge the jury? Spare? El Chapo from prison. Both sides shaking financial markets and clouded the outlook for the global economy, the differences between Beijing and Washington are vast the US is essentially demanding that China downsize its economic aspiration to become a supreme world leader in such fields as robotics electric cars earlier negotiations flamed out, speaking of the economy, US businesses added a solid two hundred thirteen thousand jobs in January, according to a private survey that's a sign the partial government shutdown. A trade war concerns aren't discouraging companies from hiring more payroll processor ADP says job gains fell in January from a robust two hundred sixty three thousand in December. Which was. Vise slightly lower. Now ADP's report does not include government employees, and therefore was not directly affected by the shutdown. Instead, though, the data suggests that the shutdown didn't broadly discourage private companies from adding workers still the ADP report frequently diverges from official figures. Well after a prosecution that spanned eleven weeks in had its share of bombshells the defense case at the US trial of Mexican drug Lord, Joaquin El Chapo Guzman clocked in on Tuesday at Amir half hour attorney Jeffrey Lichtman called one witness and entered one document into evidence before resting his case. The jury was sent home for the day closing arguments begin today. Guzman's fleeting defense was striking. Because it followed a sweeping one by the government that featured fifty six witnesses, including colorful cooperators who described. How the notorious Boston Sinoloa cartel?
