"To shock you and while that works really well for people like howard stern and of course jeff ward some of his columns. It does not work. Well when you're trying to get people on your side. Nobody wants to think about dead children's so flip it let's talk about the ones who survive and people generally aren't going to think what you just thought that they're not going to consider the fact that well they don't need me no you know with our great fundraising in our efforts which rely on you We can make a dennis. We can make a difference absolutely. And i think the key thing that you know people are trying to get across with that shock and awe is it gets attention right but the key question is does that attention turned into action. Does it translate into a sale donation of volunteer And i don't think the sign as it was. I don't think it accomplishes any of those goals right. And and you can use mixed metaphors. You can even start off with the shock and awe and say something along the lines. That did you know that one in five children die from pediatric cancer but a percent cancer vibe with your continued support russia. You can still use both of those things in sequence and still get the message across. It may not work on the sign but my work another way you're right and and you know considering the vast adhd of the american public you always want to keep that messaging short short as brief as possible. Yeah when i come back. And i'm reincarnated. I wanna be a goldfish. 'cause they're memory only lasts ten seconds so so so do most of so do the memories of most americans exactly. I mean. it's not that difficult to switch it around to make it more positive and as cantankerous as we see mrs species you know. It's really the hard core folks on both ends the political spectrum. That are making the most noise. They're not they're not the majority on either side by a long shot.

"I have a great repeat. Guest is name is jeff ward and jeff is with ford communications and he is a political consultant. But really today we're going to be talking about messaging positive messaging negative messaging. And how you can turn the negatives into a positive so jeff man how you doing. I am doing fine. How about you sir. I'm doing very well. Thank you and so in the last handful of months or so there's been reports about facebook that had said that they actually work with engagement in a way to promote negative attitudes in other words. If you put up a angry emoji that actually will send more of that kind of material to your facebook feed and that tends to keep people engaged more which means they sell more ads so their algorithms have been put up in a way that is promoting negative feelings. Now this is important. I think because there's a lot of charged emotion out there in a lot of different ways both in our personal lives and business lives. You know everything with the supply chain issues that people are feeling and there's a lot of angst out there so the plague is still former too many people's minds. Yes yeah exactly. There's just so much going on. And then i've been down this road recently about ai and artificial intelligence and one of the things that you know things like facebook and google and any of these social media platforms do is they analyze your engagement and they reward you with what you do. So i think that same thing comes into play with marketing and messaging and the way that we're trying to get our messages across so if we see something working. We're going to go down that road right right. I mean it's not a perfect analogy brian. You know in the sense that you know facebook gets you to engage because people like being mad. These days outrage has become an art form and it's not as as much as facebook promotes negative feelings as facebook rewards negatively. There's a difference so You know. I mean when was the last time you are. I want an argument on facebook. And even when we kid. And you and i will sometimes go the kind of andy kaufman route People kinda wonder so but there is a subtle difference there. It's not as much people. I'm sure they like negative feelings but they love you know going negative on somebody else's posterior right and i find myself you know when when some of my friends post something that you know just gets my ire. I immediately want to go in and respond to it. And i catch myself. Say whoa stop. Don't do it because if you do it. Facebook is going to reward you with more of that. And you're not gonna win you know. i mean. I used to respond to all those then. I decided to kind of go satirical on folks. they didn't get that at all. Hyperbole law start. I look at some of these things. I just let it go as you know by one of my bucket list. Dreams is to have my blacklist be larger than my friends list. And we're getting. Yeah and one of my dreams is to have a sarcasm emoji on facebook A health think it'll matter they're still going to take offense true very true so you know when you break that down.

Report: NBA Considering $1M Per Player Purse for Proposed In-Season Tournament

"Yeah there's a story that broke today and as we talked about before with Jason that the NBA is trying to get some excitement in the dog days of the NBA season I'm from my perspective I think the NBA season is too long okay it is in the NBA's they're severely struggling right now they are not getting the ratings not many people are watching the games because like you said the season has gone very long the load management I'm using air quotes their load management prize affecting all the NBA because you'll go to a game on a Tuesday you want to go see the clippers play quite letters ninety playing a game because he's not hurt he he's he's not injured anything he's just tired he got on a plane that has become a serious issue started by Gregg Popovich yeah we had now will it be Adam silver the commissioners his plan is to shorten the NBA season by a few games and at a mid season tournament in between thanksgiving Christmas that importance and interest to those games so they'll have a parliament and mid season tournament between thanksgiving and Christmas and as of reported this this week by Adam Adrian we're now ski there the NBA's is discussing adding a one million dollar per player purse for the winners of the proposed thirty team and sees in turn amid wailing I it's a great incentive for these teams to want to go with this alternate plan of a season can you imagine if you're the night man on a good basketball team and you're gonna get a million dollars he also went yeah I am all for this plan because I I agree I I love the NBA but I'm not watching it right now because this part of the season I know you know every game does matter to an extent but it's the most boring part of the season right now besides upcoming Christmas games you know there's not much to watch for unless you're a Die Hard fan and if right now there is a tournament going on maybe in Las Vegas between all thirty teams you know that would that would that would be I would be so much fun because it is a second playoffs it is a not as important playoffs the NBA you'll get a lot more fans involved yeah I'm more games more important games to watch there was something on the line at the end of December they're few and far between last night yeah the rockets in the clippers and rockets one one twenty two to one seventeen that was much watching your hardcore basketball fan because of Hardin kawaii so right but right now it if the Cavaliers and the bulls are on ESPN on a Monday night unless I'm from Cleveland Chicago you're not allowed to watch them game you're not you know what is the re what is the point to watch the game because it is gonna be boring it is going to be slow and it's that really has no effect on the season but if they have it in season tournament while all the teams participating that will be fun to watch it will bring more interest in the NB absolutely I think them adding that one million dollar purse per player to the winners that's got to entice every NBA team to say Hey rich news should do this route why don't rich dude we all get Richard rich dudes

Biden faces backlash over Hyde Amendment

"Hey, the democratic race is getting more interesting. And interesting because that's all along article about Joe Biden who leads Donald Trump, Texas, and Joe Biden, who lose leaves everybody, the democratic now, the far far left is mad at Joe Biden or his votes on abortion. He's a Catholic. He doesn't believe in abortion, as athletes that he voted all the time for no federally funded Hyde amendment. That goes back a long. Now, I believe a guy from Illinois. Yes. Congressman hide from Illinois. But it's outraged the far far left. He said, hey, I'm in the middle of the road on this than they don't like it. Yeah. That's coming, because I don't I think he's taking the calculated risk. He's campaigning for general election. He's going to take the risks that they're going to chop away at him. They're going to beat on him, but he's thinking old white guys in Ohio. He's not thinking twenty five year old found males in Oregon. Yeah. I think that's the calculus here, and I think he's gonna stick to it because he's thinking in terms of general election, and how am I going to go the rust belt and talk to old white guys? And I'm going to stick to it because I'm not gonna make that mistake bouncing back and forth because it'll be held against him when he gets to the old white guys. So I'm guessing just a guess here. He's going to run the risk of having that gap close and a primary of the twenty percent because it's all twenty percent. Right. We all get that now. Yeah. We all get your on twenty percent of the politicians care about twenty percent margins, though. He's going to run the risk that twenty percent in Oregon. Is going to tear him up. Got to survive. It. And then he's gonna say cool now and go to a high oh. And tell little white guy, who's probably cool with my position. Yeah. That's my guess, and cool with a lot of the position of right? Oh, Biden, cool. The is also going to have to survive for good reason. And I, I have a problem with this, that he was there lived through and co-authored some of the three strikes, and you're out that led to a generation of imprisoning people for ridiculous things, but he still gonna probably carry that till the old white gone, Ohio, and say, isn't that great well, or say, he's backed off on that, though. But kidding Oregon's going to rip him. I agree with a kid in Oregon. But the all white guy, Ohio might be pretty cool, with it is not going to care that we jail a bunch of people. So he's going to it's going to be a wild ride for him because there's plenty of things in that margin twenty percent that can blast away at him that doesn't fit. And he just going to have to sort of live through it to get to the rust belt to promise them. All the things they want. That's my guess because he's in a tough spot now because he's the he's the target. He's the he's the Trump of his group. Yeah he is. And they're going to pick away at him Ezio, white guy. And he's going to have to find a way not to bounce back and forth and plagiarize as he's prone to do you likes to take things that's what caught up with him. And the last time he ran for the presidency. Somebody said man, you keep plagiarizing he's already been accused of plagiarising, some sort of green deal thing. He got some of the elements. That's the city Dallas to no good for Justice. This lady is a criminal would as she wanted to kill him. Or not is is the I agree. We don't need her walking around with the rest of us. Fro period of time. Yes. You're exactly right. Yes. And that prosecution has a little bit of a burden to how far to push this. And what you know, how juries gotta feel because if I'm not mistaken, you don't cop a plea deal, and you going with the murder charge. And Jerry says, yeah, we think she's all the things that Clements just said, but we don't think she meant to kill him. If you cop a plea Coppell plead, but about goes to is a murder trial. And you're right Jerry goes, I think she was just wasn't murdered with something else. Right. She walks new prosecutor, you're you're not going to win reelection. And we've got. That's a nightmare. That's a nice area. It is. I'm not advocating turning over cars, but I don't blame people for being pissed if she if she walks out at doesn't do a day jail. Jeff Ward and Ed Clements..

"Presents the Jeff Ward and Ed Clemens show. Hour number two of our little show the day of celebrities so weak celebrities. Hey, be having badly. Jesse small at two is now taken out of reportedly the final episodes empire. Yeah. He's out. Sided yet. They're going to pay him for the remaining, two episodes. Whether they're contractually obligated to pay him for the remaining two episodes reportedly yesterday, he left the jail and went to the to the set reportedly they they had a scene from what I understand that. He had the shoes. And so I think that's the deal. I think he was saying look if I shoot this last scene, you gotta pay me. And I think they were arguing contractually what they would have to do. So he did whatever final scene. Oh my gosh. Makes one hundred thou- did make a hundred thousand and episode executive producers reportedly. Have said that they've cut his character from the final two episodes. Let me say Jeff being a former episodic TV spot, not black and I'm not gay. But I'm willing to try you do it for TV. A hundred thousand dollars per episode is very very very good money. What were you making about four seventy five seventy seven hundred dollars a day when I would be there. It's about six hundred too much. Well, Jeff as you who've never watched Friday, not you who Jaji off your television by SpongeBob squarepants Dora. The explorer Dora, the explorer and my little pony. I dare say there's a whole other world out there you try to areas. Speaking of found your house, a you. Jeff great. A condo in downtown Austin of the four seasons. They've got the condos next to the hotel is for sale. Twenty five million dollars thirteen thousand square feet. You get all the kids there thirteen thousand square Vienna. From a three hundred sixty view of the lake the downtown thirtieth floor. They even have a deal where you can take the dog your dog Hobie out. Toby could do is business and it's only for twenty five million dollars. Okay. Downtown living with Jeff. Well, that's that's New York. Central park money there in that something in Austin, Texas. They'll get it. I think they will. I think they will. Thirteen thousand square feet twenty five million dollars. If they won't take a check take a check from me. Hello. There you go. Here you go five million. Can I move in? Now. Heavy stuff. Nope. No stuff. I just went align. The floor kid kids. Not yet. So then you have our Kelly. Oh, gosh Janna world trouble, by the way, that would be felony sexual assault. And that's an interesting story because the rumors have been going on for years, and it took a documentary. I think it's go being are Kelly being art blew a wide open. And next thing, you know, he is he's been charged today. So well, they had interviews with these young teenage girls that he would recruit and they go live them, and he would physically assault sexually and physically. And they've they're on this documentary already interview with producer. I think you're the same thing. What a creep is on. Yeah. She said this we've been saying this for years. It would she said if you're asking my opinion today, it's like what took you so long. Yeah. Well, he went to trial one time. He was found not guilty, right? They'll have there's there's a lot of big work for high paid lawyers today. And then that's not yet. Then Robert Kraft is involved in some sort of at best slimy prostitution story at worst, sinister Robert Kraft is the old man who accepted the Super Bowl trophy at the Super Bowl. Seventy seven years old always dresses, really nice. He's got silver hair. And now, he's got some trouble some Trump. I think the Trump was going to go away some of those on the list of those being arrested today. Here's a man. Born in nineteen fifty four other born in one thousand nine hundred forty four is Bob Kraft is June fifth of nineteen forty one. Here's one thousand nine hundred forty nine one of those arrested nineteen thirty nine that's the great. Frank belly? Frank was born in nineteen thirty nine. John barrier was born in nineteen forty six and then Daniel our young decided to stop at this trip center. He was born March third of nineteen thirty four. What was his name? Daniel young. All right. My new hero. Dan, young man. Eighty five years old if it's just about prostitution. You don't prosecutes an eighty five year old guy. Now, you really don't if it's just profits. Josh about these guys being losers of which we know one of them is not pulling over to strip center because they're desperate at eighty five. That's not a story. It's not even worth anybody's time. If there's more to it because this place had been investigation for trafficking women. That's what they're saying. Now, we've got a story. And now the NFL is running scared. They ran scared of Colin Kaepernick and paid him off. They're really running scared now because one of their own outside of Jerry, this guy and Jerry Jones are the face of the NFL. They're the money and the face of the NFL, and they take the highest profile to right? They love that row. And we disagree. I think this go mostly goes away. I don't think we ever find out what really awful things have gone on with this place disagree because I think when you put the word human sex trafficking. There's going to be the Adam schefters ESPN. There's going to be investigative reporters from down in Florida. And this is going to I think predicted last hour, you Bob Kraft is going to leave the patriots and turn everything over to one of his sons. And I think he's going to quietly go away because this is to go away because that'll be the end of the story. I'm saying he'll he if he goes away, you know, the curtain is not going to be pulled back, and we're not gonna learn more. We're not gonna know what awful things have happened and everybody involved is going to get paid off. For something like this. I don't think I don't think the judicial system will let everybody get paid off because they've got video. And apparently they've got information on human trafficking were allegedly these women were held against their will from another country. So where to believe that a guy worth six billion dollars? With a model girlfriend holes over to strip center just because he wants to hook up with some forty year old Hooker. I don't believe in God, Ed.

What do we do with the rest of them that are coming across? How did that ever get in there? It's like the Democrats get adding stuff. Oh, okay. You're gonna agree to that. Let's agree. My expectation as part of the community is that the police will be able to handle any situation that I need them to handle the goal of the guardian officer is to avoid causing unnecessary indignity.
