"I think 28% of players that transferred that's wrong. It was D two D two players didn't end up at a at a D one school. But I did look it up, I believe it is 43% of transfers at the D one level don't end up in another D one institution. So that's 43% of players. That rough count just from the stuff that we know obviously we all have access to the entire transfer approval. But, you know, it's like cautionary tales and I hope schools are making sure that players are aware of it. They should be in a bad situation for you, but just know like, I think Jeff wall said it like, hey, the grass is the grass always looks greener because fertilizer BS. It's hilarious if Jeff falls who has benefited so much from the transfer portal that we say that, but I think the point kind of stance wait, repeat it again, repeat it again. The grass, the grass looks greener on the other side because it's fertilized with BS. Even use BS, you said the whole thing. Oh, of course. As you know, if you're just trying to make because I talked kind of over the last part of it, so I wanted to have it clearly stated. So that's interesting. Folks, self censor, which we love here. Speaking of transfers, let's talk about coaching transfers. As I like to call them. Yeah. Carly Tebow dodon is obviously a favorite of this podcast due to all your mystic size. She ends up getting her first head coaching job at Fairfield. And Fairfield just won the MAC correct this year. They did. They did. So she's coming into a good program. Getting a good chance. So I just want to shout out to Carly forgetting her first job. Yeah. I am so excited for her. And Nancy was up there, Nancy T Bo, and Eric and Mike were at the mystics training camp, and I know they're going to be making that trip up there. Wearing their red Fairfield stuff. So it's really fun. It's forgive me, guys. I'm not from the northeast. Where is Fairfield? Is it in Connecticut? I believe so, yeah. Okay, cool. I did not know that. It's in Fairfield, Connecticut. Does that make sense? There you go. I don't think I've ever been to Connecticut for as much as we talk about Connecticut. Maybe I'll go up there. It's like in the beach. Whatever. That's cool, man. I know where it was. When you go up there. Huh? Yeah, right. I'm so wrong, you know, hang out. I do think I'm wrong. I don't think Fairfield will in the MAC. I thought they did. I think that they did. They did. They went 19 one. Okay. So they did. 19 a month. And they were in the tournament. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Because on the men's side, I would say Peter, you won. Yes. And made that big run, yeah. So, sorry about the confusion there. Shouts to Carly. Also, obviously, if we're not, if I'm not talking about Miami, I'm talking about William and Mary. Aaron Dickerson Davis is the new one's basketball head coach at William and Mary. Yes. Seems like a great hire. You know more about her, so I want to get your take on her, but she's a northwestern grad, played at northwestern, spend time with Taos in Georgetown, most recently I wake forest. All those schools really make sense with William Mary, which is a very academic first school art, every school is academic first. But William Mary is like, the classroom is way more important than the court. And I think she can handle that if you've been at Georgetown and wake forest certainly. And she can help bring in recruits from this area. So I'm excited for it as a William Mary alum. Now I love her. And I think she has a tremendous opportunity there at William and Mary. She was at Georgetown when my daughter was being recruited by Georgetown. So she was on staff there. So we spent a lot of time talking to her and being on campus with her and she was just amazing. So when she went to wake forest, I know Jen Hoover very well. We played against each other in college. And so for her to go down there with Jen, I thought was really special. But now for her to be first year head coach, I'm super excited for her and congrats. That's going to be fun. It's going to be fun for you as an alum to get down there. I'm going to try to go to a lot of schools around here. But yeah, I'm definitely going to definitely go back to William and Mary. So yeah, shout out to her. I think there's a ton of other news that we can always get to. There's a ton of stuff that we leave on the table in these podcasts. I don't think I'm missing anything you got anything else, Christie that you want to yes. One of my really, it's hard to call, you know, players who you recruited and coached, it's hard to call them Friends, but that is a great friend of mine. Sarah Jenkins, who played at Riverdale baptist, a recruited her when I was assistant coach at Maryland for her freshman year and she decided to leave after a freshman season. And I took those two years off in between, had two babies, came back and I came back and coached at Georgetown, and then that's where Sarah had transferred. So I coached her her freshman year and her senior year. But she was assistant coach at Penn State before that she was also at Georgetown and Delaware, but now she is back as the head coach at Delaware. I'll talk about crying when Nas noman's name was being called when that news came out that she was going to do that. I mean, Natasha there, she took the head coaching position at Arizona state. She was at Delaware. They made that run to the tournament and lost in college park. But for her to be able to come back and coach at Delaware, I'm just extremely thrilled for her. I was talking to texting with moka, and she was this excited to all the DMV years or just over the top with the possibilities with Sarah Jenkins being there. Her dad, reverend John Jenkins, said, first baptist church of Glenn Arden, Maryland. Her mom, like I know their whole family, but he has a mega church in PG county, Maryland. They're going to have a lot of support for her because that's not too far up the road. It's kind of Delaware's kind of extended DMV. Yeah. We count it when it's when it's beneficial to us. Absolutely. That would be a matchup that we can go to. Down there, Williamsburg, CA matchup between William Mary and the Delaware. There you go. And then Della Don, maybe there too, because that's her. That's her. I thought it was a little surprised that she wasn't at the Maryland game, but I'm sure she had other things to do. She's working out, man. She looks good. She looks good. Whatever she was doing, it seems to have worked. But yeah. Jenkins. Shouts all the new coaches. It's really, really exciting time for all these new coaches taking over, especially all the ones we're near us. So yeah, that's all I got. That's it. This will be talking next week. Now, season won't be up Saturday next week. So maybe we'll do our season preview. I know. I can't wait for that. Once the rosters are narrowed down, unfortunately, I know it's going to be hard to do, but once that happens, we will bring that all to you, but we don't have to go home. Y'all don't have to go home, but we got to get up out of here. They're cutting the lights out on us. We're still sitting here courtside. We're going to walk off slowly and still talk about all these things. We've discussed today. But we certainly appreciate you guys. Joining us today right here on the her hoop stats podcast network for this episode of courtside with Christian Gabe for my partner. Gave Ibrahim I'm Christy winter Scott. We'll see you next time..

"With this, the confidence, right? And just a ton of things that you get straight from dawn that comes right down to the players, and you saw it come through. So I had so much respect for her. And I have a men's respect for, you know, Stanford, obviously, and Tara and Gina and Yukon and Jeff walls and Louisville. And I really, I ran into a lot of great coaches. This tournament and the march. So it was just an excellent experience to be around all that. So I just think with dawn, she just has really gotten her players to understand what she's trying to teach them has made them better at every single step of the way. And that's why Leah Boston is one of the best players in the country. That's why destiny Anderson is putting up 26 points in the championship game. That's why ziya keeps shooting despite despite not having the season that she wanted. And she's a great player. In my opinion, I think she's a great player at the next year. She's going to bounce back and have an awesome season. But her shots were falling and she kept at it and she kept going and she kept shooting what they call the expected shots would set up those offensive rebounds, which essentially won the championship and to have that sort of mentality comes straight from dawn. So amazing accomplishment. Also, she became the first person ever to win national player of the year and national coach of the year, right? Up to the year. Yeah. I mean, it's just phenomenal. I mean, you know, when you have why I personally had one of my best Friends, Samantha whitfield, but her maiden name was Nichols anyway. We've known each other since the 7th grade. And she texted me and she was like, dawn reminds me of you. Let me just how intense she is, you know, and when she's intense, it's not necessarily, I don't know, it's not necessarily negative when you're talking to the kids. But she is just locked into the moment. So I took that as a huge compliment because, you know, not, I mean, not a lot of people know me. Like, for me, like me, in general. And I don't know, just, you know, I'm not, I told you that before I'm not like a Phil Jackson kind of person, you know, when it comes to coaching, I think I am like active and animated and everything like that. And I think that's what, you know, the kids feed off of that. And I think that's what you're saying too. And it's not just the individual meetings that she has with the players and saying, these are the expectations we have for you and your role. I think it's just in general. When you see your quotes who cares, you know, who wants you to succeed. And I think she said that there was a lot of pressure. Before she got into coaching, knowing that she had the responsibility to bring successful memories and moments to those 18 to 22 year olds. And for me, it's 14 to 18 year olds. So it's like the mission is the same. The ideals are the same. And I don't know. I think, you know, the energy has to be there. For those kids, I mean, you want it so badly for them and not to say that other coaches don't want it for their kids because you absolutely do. But I think with Jeff walls, that's why I ask him in the postgame when they won the elite 8, going to the final four, we were in Wichita. And I said, you've been there before, but what is it like to see it through the eyes of your players? Because that's what it's about. I mean, you have your own moment and you have your own snapshots in your mind, but now you're watching these kids have the best moment of their lives. Like in that moment, like, what does that feel like? And I really wanted to know from him what that was. And so because that's the first thing I think about. If there's a successful moment for the team, I'm looking how I'm seeing how the kids are crying. Tears of joy and how they're experiencing the moment. And I think that's what means the most. And that's what Don Stanley said as well. So we're on the same page with that. And for one of my best friends for years to say that she reminded me or that I reminded her of donor, vice versa, or whatever. I mean, I hold that in very high regard. And I tucked it away. Because we want the same things for these kids. It's not about us. We want the same success for these kids so they can fall back and know what they can do to be successful young women in the world. Yeah. I think that's a pervasive attitude in women's basketball. We had the coaching events up there and so I ran into a ton of coaches and it was just kind of like that attitude of everyone to succeed and do their thing, but they also it has to be about the kids because if you're talking about the kids, guess why you're not gonna succeed. If you don't have that focus, especially nowadays with the portal as we'll talk about in a minute. You know, if you all have that attitude, you're not gonna succeed. And even if you do, it still may mean that some people are some kids are gonna go because your style doesn't match up with them..

"Going, let's go. So I thought that was big. Yeah, they comment on that about how they never really gave up and they were proud of that. That was another press conference call when they were home. Yeah, that team doesn't give up. Their team that doesn't give up. So what did you give up on them though today? Let me ask you that. When did I answer first? When did you give up on Louisville? Winning that game. Like mid third quarter. Okay. Yeah. And I was starting to realize hey, wait, South Carolina's showing that they're dominant and they're showing that they have that answer and then that they're able to go on runs and be able to close and then show yeah, hey, we're going to be national to play good. A team that potentially could be the national champion. We're not going to stumble here. Yeah, we're not going to stumble. It was one for me, I was holding out hope until angstrom found out. Because she felt out what mid fourth quarter. Yeah, yeah. I kept saying, also, I was like rooting for the cover because it was an 8 and a half point spread. So I was reading for the backdoor cover and they lost. They didn't end up covering. I can't tell you at the moment, but I felt like it was much earlier than that to me. And it turned out to feel a little bit this way when Yukon made the run there in the fourth quarter for Stanford. Cap feeling like the teams were close, but I didn't feel like there was a chance that we could get over the hump. Whereas for that entity, Yukon game that I was at Bridgeport, I felt like, hey, I've seen empty state in this moment. Yeah, I feel like I've seen Louisville in particular in this moment as well where the shots start falling and they hit it late. NC state, like I thought they would find a way I didn't think it was going to be quite what we saw in that crazy leading game on Monday. But it didn't quite feel like that. You know, I was looking, we were talking about it for this Louisville, South Carolina game, Louisville, only had the lead for a minute, 26 seconds, right? And actually, from the Yukon Stanford game, Stanford only had to leave for a minute and 6 seconds. So it felt like they were like knocking on the door, getting close. I didn't Jeff walls commented on the press conference. You know, they took shots when they just weren't going in. I think Louisville ended up hitting 43%. They went one for 8 from three, and they only employed 1200 and take that many. And so it just kind of felt that if they got in a couple of boxes, it was like they would take the shot and had a chance to cut it, but it just didn't go in and then suddenly instead of a four point lead to 6.2 goodwill, whatever 9.8 or something. And it just wants to get it felt like it was firmly controlled of South Carolina. No, I think I agree. They never felt like South Carolina was going to lose. It's just like I held up hope for a long time. Yeah, yeah, exactly. That would be a close game. Also, it just should mention that all 5 South Carolina starters were in double digits, pre beel also was extremely she was extremely offended when Haley van Lyft posted her own. Like it was in the first quarter Beal got posted up and immediately swatted the ball into the nether world. So good for her. I mean, does she? She had three blocks. From the guard position, so. And I got a good couple of good stuff for you. I forget who tweeted this out using our research tool. I think. But she has scored ten or she had 12 today, right? She scored ten points or more three times this season. Tonight, the creighton game and once during the regular season. Wow. It's a good time to start heating up. Now, and she's finding cuts and finding offensive rebounds and, you know, when she has a small, when she has a small garden it hurts, it's pretty much curtains and that's Louisville's game. So peg chutz Louisville thanks for playing. We will miss you. We'll see you next year. Great season. And they were clear about that too as well. We're going to be proud Jeff walls talked about how they were going to cherish these memories. I believe the quote and the type of they shared together. So I think they should feel really proud. Making the final four is difficult. Also to say, Miami be one of the teams I was on the farm for always comes back. It all comes back to my family. I don't know if my voice sounds different, but yes, I would like this to be held in Miami every year. Let's talk about Yukon Stanford. Oof. This game was a little bit tough to swallow if you're a Stanford fan. I'll read out their game field goal percentages. Let's start with them from the field overall 23 of 66, good for 34.8% from the field. From three, they were four of 23, 17.4%, and they had two of those threes in those furious comeback at the end of the game. So it was worse for most of the game from the free throw line. 8 of 13. 61%. You look at the other side, Yukon was not that good offensively. But hey, they just did a little bit better 36% from the field, 35% from three, 16 of 20, 80% from.

"Right. I think blue is going to hit him with it. So those are my things. They're not going to lose the game at the first minute because they're so undersized. And if they can press and do execute that well, I could see it happening. I could see the upset happening. Yeah, I mean, and speaking with Jeff walls about the press, right? He said, in the first two rounds, we brought it out. We have impressed a lot of all season long, right? But in their first two games, and the NCA tournament, they brought it out in a work for them. So they said, hey, we're going to try it again just because it goes back to what we were saying earlier about trust and success, right? So now he trusts that his team can execute. And that spot moments, he's not going to press the entire game, right? But in spot moments made free throw or a maid shot, you know, they might, you know, every other made shot they may do it and bring it out or every three made shots. So you never know when it's coming, which is going to be difficult for South Carolina because there's no rhyme or reason to it. This is there. Sometimes sometimes not. And it keeps you off balance and on your toes. But I think Jeff walls has said it. It's worked for us. So we're going to try it. I'm sure they're going to bring that out, especially seeing, you know, the difficulties that South Korea has had against the press. So we'll see what that looks like. If they can get it over that first line of their press, you know, and then they have that relief to the middle and then opposite. I mean, they can break it, but it's going to be, it's going to be quite a test to get it over that front line for Louisville defensively, right? I agree. I think it is going to be. It's going to be tough. But, you know, America get too ahead of myself. All right, it's South Carolina. And I still, for the record, I still think they're going to win do you agree? I think we haven't changed our picks. No. We haven't changed our picks. And I think, you know, it's going to be it's going to be a great game. I hope it's another epic, you know, dramatic game like the Yukon NC state game. And I think it's going to be something like that. It's not going to be neither one of these games in the final four, by the way, or any of the three games. And the final four are going to be blow out. These teams are at this point of the season for a reason, okay? They're tough. Okay. And not that the other 60, whatever, 14s aren't. I mean, they were tough enough to get into the tournament. So there's toughness across the board, but there is consistency. There is efficiency, and when you have the toughness to go with those two things, that's why they're at this point. And at the Pinnacle of making history for their programs. So I think it's going to be a close game between South Carolina and Louisville. I think it's going to be a defensive battle, but it's going to come down to who makes the shots that they want. And I think it's going to be a challenge for both teams to get the shots that they want. And that's why we love watching. Yeah. No, we'll see. I'm interested in this one. I think it's going to be good. So does everyone knows the line right now according to ESPN is South Carolina favored by 8 points? Our hoop stats model, which has been crushing it in the NCAA tournament. Has South Carolina as a 6 point favorite. And it also has the total points at a 123, whereas the over under on the bedding markets is a 120. So if you look at that, there may be some good ones. There may be some good ones there. And I think it might be, it might be worth your time to look into our curve hoop stats model because it has been crushing it. If you're a betting folk. So that would be good. We'll see that game 7 p.m. on ESPN. I will be in the boat. I'll be in the building in the center. Yeah. I'll be in the building here at home. And my fuzzy slippers on and just having a blast shouting to the rooftops in here. So that'll be fun. Let's keep it going. Let's talk about the other game. Stanford Yukon, which will come on right after that at 9 30 p.m.. Both these games are on ESPN and as you mentioned, the ratings are crushing it. And I think this one will attract a lot of eyeballs with the defending champs in Yukon on a neutral floor. So the line here and I'll start with this because I like this now, it's just starting with it last time. The line for Stanford is their favored by one point. According to getting market. And then they over under a 128.5, according to our model Stanford should win this game by two points and the total points will be around one 26..

"Ever send Yukon to a region that is not Bridgeport, even if it means dropping Yukon to a three seed and sort of a two. It is also worth noting that if you just lay out how the seeds work, you have South Carolina you have South Carolina Wednesday for two and three. Either Baylor removal for, whichever one I didn't just mention 5. Yukon at 6 actually makes perfect sense. And putting them in a bridge guard has a two seed is actually probably the most likely outcome putting them with state, even if it wasn't even in Bridgeport. They're projected as the two in Greensboro right now. Yes. I mean, it's going to change. I just don't think that would happen. Unless the committee is just sort of hell bent on a elite 8 matchup between South Carolina and Yukon. Because that's what that would be. I mean, projected wash. I was specifically known just in just a quick note to write this up. Cream has said himself, he's just going off of what the committee has put as its top 16 out in their last release and since that for the committee is regionalist, they're not projecting a bracket. The committee did that without factoring geography. Right. So when they do, they will look at Yukon. It'll see Bridgeport. They will see Yukon 6. Yeah, we have the Bridgeport region. Mainly for Yukon, right? Like that is one of the big reasons why it exists, so it would be really surprising to see them out. Now here's the other thing though, so let's talk canes. We've gone. We've gone ten minutes here without talking canes. I know these ten minutes just talking about not talking about the canes must have been killing you. It really was. I was trying to be a journalist because that's first and foremost, my job here. But my second job here is being a cane's fan. I have a really obnoxious Miami sticker on my laptop. It's so big. It's so big because I always have a Miami sticker on my laptop, and this is the only one I had 'cause I just got this laptop. Actually, it was so big that the Miami mascot could see it. He came over to me and was like, pointing at the sticker and gave me a fist bump. Sebastian the ibis. Especially in the ibis also easily the best, most entertaining and the best dancer of any of the AC's mascots. M gets it. M gets it. Okay, but let's sock gains because obviously we have talked about the Louisville game because I think that's the craziest basketball game I've ever seen live the canes were down 15 with what's the picture I keep posting four 37 left, they had a really bad turnover and then at the front Louisville had a 99.9% chance to win according to ESPN's win expectancy model. And the cane stormed back. It wasn't even the canes. It was destiny Hardin had 17 points on her own. It was 15. Julia Williams had a pick 6 and then destiny Hardin scored the last 15 points of the entire game, including a turnaround jumper with 1.3 on the clock directly in Haley van Lee's face. Which afterwards she did the scream post both hands on her face, just couldn't believe what had happened, but destinee harden told us in the press conference. That was the matchup she wanted. And when she saw the van left was going to guard her, she looked at Katie Meyer, Katie Margie. Her look and they both knew that Hardin was going to get the shot and she was going to launch it over handley van with. What they didn't know was that it was going to go in and send the whole Greek world. Sorry, it's hard on you that shot was going in. That part I knew that child was going. And for sure. Louisville switches on those kind of side screens. And you know Haley van list, I think, around 5, 9 or 5, ten, justly Hardin is not 5 9 5 two. She was not getting that shot blocked. None, she was just on one. I mean, it was one of the greatest performances. I'm gonna do a video about that. Sometimes this week because honestly, one of the craziest games I've ever been a part of. And yes, I was cheering on press row. Why? Because we were all losing our minds. Everyone was collectively going crazy, including Jeff walls and Louisville. But for Miami, obviously this run in the tournament cements them in the NCAA tournament that came in on the bubble. So they beat duke, which is less impressive if you haven't been paying attention to duke for like a month. It's a good name, it's a bad team. But that's good enough. And that was the first step, and then in the Louisville game, you know, we were saying, hey, if they lose by 5, they're probably in. That was kind of the run that they were going on was to lose by 5 and get into the tournament. They end up winning that game. They end up beating Notre-Dame. Those two wins are huge. Miami's gonna be somewhere probably on the 8 9 line. I'm guessing, maybe they move up, who knows what happens down Lamborghini can move up even to 7, which would be fantastic for them. But the canes, you know, there's a lot of cool basketball things and there's smart basketball conversations we could have. But I think Katie Meyer just gets the absolute most out of this team. They play with grit, they play with toughness. I've said it on the quartzite podcast, all season long. They never, ever give up. They lost one game by 46 points because UNC got on them early and then since then they lost their next game to Notre-Dame and then they win 8 of their last ten and coach Myers said that was such a huge turning point for them but I just really love how they just never give up. They always are Gritty and they're always playing hard on the defensive end because in good lord shots don't fall for them at times. It came to roost today a little bit against NC state, but I can't say enough about how happy and proud I am as a university of Miami alumni to watch this happen. And even before that, you know, the ones that had the end of the season and just looking at those games, that was not that was not the easiest of schedules to end on. But even before those games, you look at their non conference schedule, they played a tough non count schedule, and they didn't get many wins out of those tough games, but they lost to Indiana by two points. Yes. They were within basically two or three points of Maryland up until the very end of the game. And that was a Maryland team. That Madeline team is tired. It's injured, but they were right there. This is a team that is basically played competitively. All season. And there are, you can look at this being a mobile sort of Miami first ever ACC semifinal, let alone their very first AC championship game appearance. And you can look at that. You can look at the year by year record and what they dumped with some teams in the talent that were just several several years ago. And you can say things and you can put blame on in terms.

Which does that get you excited. You think of the broncos a favourite against washington on sunday. Let me check colfax. We'll get some gimme some Let me some efforting music here. Let's that broncos. And what did i say. Chrysler broncos and the football team right say the name. Did i say the name. You said everything right. There was just one name you got. Which one did i say. Now i wanna know made me go back. Go back and listen can any of the whole against tell us. They are three point favorites to feel good about that. Is that wrong is it right. Do you like mean early predictions. I don't give picks until friday. 'cause i really judge just to give them a spread to give them three home. Game both are bad teams at the stage. Make sense but i i. I don't know have you watched many washington football teams games. I haven't watched any of that sports football team there undisclosed location at undisclosed stadium. Yeah the team redacted. Yeah none of that of what they did. Is israel anymore boy. That's a tough one. Teddy will be a little bit. Better offense. Line a little bit better. We'll they finally run. Ask stephen stills. Yesterday the only change that he saw with the broncos was that the coaches are taking more on themselves. Is that coach coachspeak. Coachspeak doesn't mean anything to me. Well you know although with vic maybe it does mean a little bit more because vic typically does say things like well the you know. We got to play call. They're just in the wrong spots. I mean hell dude criticize von miller when he got here at von miller could get better. Which gives you could. But is that coach. Speak to you when you hear that or do you really believe author. They're going to change something. i think. When you're at where the broncos are at you have to come up with things to say. That aren't coachspeak and it's hard because you don't really want to be honest sometimes yet. We just a bad team. It's easy especially when your jobs on the line to point the that someone else. There's no way there's no way that this team that vic fangio thinks he's coming back next year right. There's just there's no way new. Noobs wanna know colfax is t- there anymore is t- there anymore. Colfax moved on. We had an old going away show for him. We've got the angel of our of our dreams here now running the show that one. That one's good. Thanks angel you. Don't know much about the king elvis. What about box car. Willie do you know what does that mean to you. I don't know what boxcar willie is. Facts that's what i did. I called me cole. Thanks new new z. Nubiotix either got me here to the whole against. If i say anything wrong they get me. I've only done it once. Are you surprised. I've only done once. Well i mean this is only arthur show together officially. Yeah so there's no room for error. Thank you. I'm i'm like the nuggets right now with you know what a lot of promise way too soon i was wondering what the hell did i just say. I said it's second nature. I've only got one. So i'm shocked. I'm amazed This is going to be a very interesting time. For the broncos leading up. I mean they gotta get even a win against washington. Doesn't erase everything. Because then you gotta go to dallas. There's no way that vic thinks he's coming back though so you're right there just thinking of crap. Say 'cause i got gotta be up on the podium for the next nine weeks or whatever ten weeks i don't know i gotta get better. I guess i guess. I'll do better all look at things. Better pat shurmur. I don't know man. We'll run the ball more. Guess one time. There's no way i mean. Do you see a mass turn around. I mean some people are pretty positive about that but four in a row. What leads you to believe. They're going to washington okay. Maybe 'cause they're bad the way they looked against cleveland. I saw nothing no life. Nothing so i mean you're gonna go to dallas suddenly dallas. Looks like they could win at all. So i i'm telling you do. This is going to be an interesting one.

"It's going to get and you know what's going to happen some day. Jeff it's going to end up in court now. I think the law. I shouldn't say this because for every lawyer can get another lawyer. I've had plenty of lawyers. Tell me that the cba probably supersedes everything. But it doesn't mean you don't get that challenge right That's going to be. The only recourse at some point is to go to court. Let me. I've never ask you this question. Do you have a sense. Of how many teams feel the same way. The sabers do a boat this surgeries. I think there are some like. That's the thing that i'm wondering about. Now is are the buffalo sabres. The only ones that would behave like this with michael. I don't know that. I don't know that i i really don't i will say this that. I definitely think that the league one victory here in negotiations that i don't think people realize the ramifications at the time. Yeah i think everybody does now and whoever negotiates the next. Cba four the players. That's going to be a major point for them now. I've had teams. Tell me like the buffalo sabres have eighty million dollars invested in jack eichel we can certainly understand that. Eighty million invested in someone. You have a right to say okay. We're not comfortable with this. Like i said it's really competent. But my business this he's injured legitimately during h. l. game and there are teams here. I believe who are legitimately interested in trading for eichel have been involved in discussions with eichel. Who feel that. They don't have all of the information. So what you said. It's the chicken and the how can you make the best possible. Offer jack eichel until you know exactly what all the doctors are saying. So my goal here is to suggest something and says how can we break this logjam. I think the first logjam should be. The teams can see his records to the face. Quinn hughes elliot's pederson. Last seen in michigan brady chuck last seen in michigan as well all skating together all stand together all hanging out. He what's going on anything on hughes pederson good chuck. We should know about. And i'll preface by saying i wonder if i brought it up a put a month and a half ago here on the podcast offer sheets again. I wonder if not so much for pederson but for brady could chuck and it's the Akinyemi one year big doe. I haven't heard that if it's there. I haven't heard it. Vancouver is the team. That's been the most paranoid about that. With patterson yeah. But i don't know who can do it now so again. These things can all change with one phone call. I think pederson hughes heard that vancouver felt that they had made a really fair offer to hughes on short term like a three year deal. I don't think they were inclined to move very much on a three year deal. I think they feel that they made a very legitimate offer. And i don't know if they're that to move on three years now hughes hang on him one quick on patterson. Are we talking about carrillo. Capris off money a little bit less. I think it's less like i think it's more than barzel. I think it's less than capris up. But i'm talking about the bridge deal not talking about the term deal. I've said that on the turn deal. I think they should go for ranan. Like that's what i would do. If i was vancouver now hughes i know what you're gonna say to me jeff because i have i have mine power i can read your mind. Go for it. you are going to say. Has anything changed since razzmatazz delete signed the my right cresskill amazing this. Yes i know at some point today. You're going to brush your teeth. That's a very bold prediction. Okay so i do think. The dallying contract has changed the terminology. they're deli. Obviously for those of you are not familiar. Signed three times six. I believe vancouver's offer to hughes before deliang signed was in the fives. I think vancouver knows they're going to have to move that up. I think on a six year deal. Which i think was discussed for hughes at some point. They were obviously higher than the six. They were probably in the sevens. But i do think they knew they had to adjust up after what deli got. Now there's another issue in vancouver and that is hammock and i'm really wondering if at the very least hammock is considering opting out this year. The has to decide bhai y over for october. I i looked it up four. I decided to do actual preparation for this podcast. Okay october. i is the deadline. Which is next friday. There's rumors that you might retire. There's rumors that he'd still might play. I'm wondering if he might opt out. All i heard was that when i last spoke to someone about it before the weekend i was told this is still going to take a few days to sort itself out now. The danger is saying it and then everything changes after we dropped it but i think all options are on the table here but i think the are wondering if there's a possibility that hamic won't play you didn't play in the bubble two years ago so all of this is very much in the air and the thing that that could do to jeff is. It could change. They're going to have to go find a d. If that's the case but i think there also could open up even more cap room for them to do what they need to do. And jeff wall. We're talking about the kabq. Say i haven't checked the connects twitter yet but while we were recording this they lost their first exhibition season cracking in the first ever game in franchise history. Yes and i'm sure everybody is reacting extremely calmly. Everybody is keeping a very level headed ones being vancouver right now. Even though the crack of drawn first blood in the the rivalry between seattle and vancouver first goal riley sheahan we should mansion for his goal rally riley shan first goal for preseason goal for the For the seattle crack in a big second period them three goals in the third salted away. Five three is the final. Listen so far. It's a good story. All around and seeing those colors on the ice is outstanding. Seeing the colors. Mix this scene. Those colors mixed with vancouver. Think is gorgeous as well to me just visually. That was a really cool game. Regardless of the score in the play and who looked good and who look bad i just think the visually the way those the colors of these two teams mixed just looked fantastic. Elliot i agree with you. I thought it looked rates and when they came out in the warm up with a crack in twenty-one shirts all of them wearing that it was just an excellent touch..

"To. I think we're talking about. Are we talking about brothers. And yes because that's who peter's talking to in those are the people that we don't want spend the time with. I think that's what the book really opened. My eyes to is that we can't create community when we don't even like the people we were supposed to be creating community with an. I went to a workshop tulsa so winning workshop many many years ago and the first thing jeff walling said when he stood up was turnaround in hugged the person behind. You and in front of you because you may be spending eternity with them and you know we. It's funny because we're good with that because we're going to go home we're going to go back to our hotel and then we're going to get narcan home and we're never going to see him again and all is well. We can kind of laugh about that but the truth is that person. That's knocking on your door. Ten o'clock at night because they have an emergency or they need to talk or they need a place to stay. That is not the that. I have always felt the peter was talking about. You know i. It's the easy hospitality you know. I will go pick up some chicken and mashed potatoes and sit on my table and say eat. You know. I don't have a problem without have a problem with rodney check. I'll write a check. And i don't do well with people or i don't do well in this situation or i don't but the truth is god designed us so that we come together as a church as a group as a community of believers that come together in so we got to figure out how to get along the twelve disciples who were totally different. "Of games and paychecks. This is such a keen. My issue with this is is. You know we've seen in other professional leagues whether it's the pga or the nba even if you're vaccinated and you test positive you're still going to miss time. And so the only thing that i think th they're incentivizing players to get vaccinated. Not because they're not going to get cold because they still can't and it's obviously to reduce your symptoms and chance of death but you know they're not at the risk group anyway. It's really about the fact that if they're all vaccinated then they can stop testing and then it's an afterthought right that's what this is about 'cause the protocols are different for those who are vaccinated versus those who aren't and so if you if you got everyone vaccinated. We can stop testing or at least not test quite frequently and we don't have to worry about whether or not guys positive because he very well might be but if vaccinated you feel better about your chances of him not spreading it or not having symptoms and you might not find out until the next test comes whenever that is. I think it's maybe once a week or however often it is now but that's what they're pushing them. I think the do because the nfl obviously last year push through covert and they wanna keep pushing past it this year they've for it to be an afterthought especially if you're not full stadiums. Your wife wanted an olympic medal in beijing. I think where is that baller where. Where's the mental. Oh god she She's actually coming back from boston soon. I think that when jordan when you get a story that really encapsulates who jordan is as a competitor is a person.
