"Your official weather station. WWL AM FM and dotcom, More showers and thunderstorms possible as we go into the beginning of the world with me. Here. Making sure that we're saving lives. Kids are safe. Our teachers are safe and then I believe once labor days arrived, then we're going to evaluate based on data. People drinking in groups outside of the bars has proven to increase the transmission of Corona virus. New Orleans health director Dr Jennifer A Vague, No says the city has seen an unfavorable trend when it comes to its coal bin. 19 data, every model that we look at shows the Our transmission rate or how quickly the virus spreads in a community is above the number one, which indicates widespread community transmission. "Eight forty four sixteen before nine Tommy Tucker counting down to the LSU game which tips off I guess three hours from now a little bit less than that. Ed eleven forty. Of course supreme game shows starts at eleven here this morning. Couple of hours away on WWL Yale face LSU facing number fourteen Yale Tigers against the BULLDOGS. Jeff Palermo joins us right now. wwLcom columnist in Louisiana network. News director morning, Jeff Tommy how you doing again this morning. I am. Okay. And it's good to talk to you. And I hope we keep talking to you all away for a couple more weeks about LSU. Well, that's the hope right? What was a really special season is obviously hit a huge roadblock here with the suspension of will wait in a recruiting scandal that underway, but the Tigers hopefully, a little break from the action here, you know, they lost Friday and the SEC tournament maybe taking the weekend off regrouping focused in on the task. And we'll see if that LSU team that we saw for most of the year reappears here in the sense he double A tournament matchup against Yale. So when you get right down to it. And and I'm not a big basketball fan to be honest. But but I'm trying to understand this. She's like any sport. The coaching the team now, Tony Benford and way. Will Wade right there on the same page coaching a team the same way the plan is air players are there other than an emotional lift or an emotional fall. Is there any reason technically or maybe in game decisions? Why would matter I think in game decisions is the big thing. I mean, I I know Tony Benford, and he said it several times that he's been in conversation with coach will wait. And I'm sure Wade has been providing a scouting report. In fact, will was former graduate assistant at Harvard. So he's very familiar with what Yale likes to do. So I'm sure there's been a lot of scouting reports and stuff like that. But it's the end game decisions that I think are are big. When you look at the team LSU letter twenty six five coming into this game a lot of their victories this year or come for behind wed. Meaning stop wasn't going. Very Ryan will Wade makes a decision. And a lot of cases during the time out all of a sudden LSU takes off what was interesting in the SEC tournament. LSU actually had a pretty comfortable lead against Florida thirteen point lead. And they couldn't hold onto it. They're really to be honest with you Tommy there hasn't been many games this season where LSU is heavily like that. It had to try to hold onto it. The Tigers played in a lot of close games this year. And in a lot of games where they've had a come from behind and win and decisions that will wait has made during the course of that forty minutes of the basketball game have really helped out this team. No doubt that LSU's talented. But when you look at the game in particular college basketball, it's dominated by coaches, right? You said you're not a big college basketball fan or a big basketball fan. But you know, who the major players are in college basketball, right? As far as who the head coaches, are you might not be able to more than five players that are playing. The season. But you know, who all the coaches are that's because they have such an influence on the college basketball game. And that's what LSU's missing here. They're they're missing. What is a very bright mind. It will wait, and he's not gonna be there. And he's not gonna be able to give Tony Benford of the lifeline during the game. Well, and that's what I wanted to ask you because I'm getting some text about this somebody texted in and said, why wouldn't that be a violation? If we'll wait is scouting and passing along information to Tony Benford Kenneth suspended coach any input on coaching the team. Well, I'm not exactly sure I'm not. I'm not sure why. But Tony Bedford's been open about the fact that he has spoken to will way. Now, he hasn't gone into detail as far as what kind of information he's getting from the coach. So I'm not exactly sure what the you know, LSU is only said that. We'll wait a suspended indefinitely. They haven't gone into parameters of what will wait can or cannot do. So I, but let's face it. Once they show up at the arena today. It's Tony Bedford. It's Greg higher. It's Bill Armstrong. It's all those assistant coaches coming together. And they're leading the team in the Vanderbilt game when they won that without well, wait that was the first game. They played without them. They blew out Vanderbilt at Vanderbilt was a bad basketball team. They had they had not won a game in the SEC all season long, basically gave the the keys to trae about waters until it into to take the team home. And then he did that same philosophy didn't work against Florida. Let's see what kind of judgments they make. They gotta get trae by waters under control. He did not play well in that game against Florida. And I think he really missed will wait as you know, coach Wade likes to kind of guide waters from time to time through some tough moments, and they really needed him on the sidelines and the SEC tournament, and they certainly missed time. For prediction, Jeff, what do you think? I think LSU Wentz today. I they they've bounced back all season long after losses. So I think they could do that again here today. But I don't know how much of a run they can make Tommy what we'll see who they play in the second round. It might be Maryland. I think they could get past that. But once they get to the Sweet Sixteen th there's two teams that they possibly could face before they get to the final four. That's Michigan state and Duke those are the best coaches in the game. I don't see LSU, especially if they face Michigan state in the Sweet Sixteen which would be the regional semi final. I don't see them getting past the Spartans without coach will wait. Thank you. Jeff. Appreciate your time to six zero one eight seventy if you don't give me your LSU prediction time now, wwl traffic.

"At Morrison from the West Bank slow from Terry Parkway getting onto the connection that will get moving at the upslope of the bridge and from Kenner and Metairie I ten slow at Williams to get past veteran's exit. And then you've got steady congestion from around bonnabel through the six ten split all the way into downtown. Have a traffic tip called wwl 504-260-info. I'm David Blake. Now, Tommy Tucker, WWL AM, FM dot com. We're talking David about convicted felons serving on juries and somebody texted in. I would rather have Betsy the boxer on my jury. Then a convicted felon and to that I would respond not if you're a cat or a, squirrel. You wouldn't know lot of bias toward that a lotta a lotta predetermination. Yup. I have never filled out a bracket. Have you? On March madness bracket kinda guy. He's somebody texted in and said Tommy you just asked. About brackets and picking LSU but brackets don't work that way. Apparently, you get so many points for so many right picks or something. Okay. Most foes, you get so many points each round. And at the end, they end up two points and most points wins finishing tie. You predict score for championship game and closest to the score decides the winner, that's too complicated. For me. Now when it comes to. Horseracing? All right. I don't know any more about that than I do college basketball, but I like going because I like to watch animals run. Yeah. And they got some names that you pick that you like, you don't it's always the catchy names. And then sometimes the tail right that catches your eye. Right. So that's fun. But basketball, I'm not a big fan. But by the same token, it's hard not to get caught up this weekend. When just about every channel you turn on there is a game. And you kind of get caught up in the game. Even though you have no idea what the school is or or who it is. That's playing but you will learn as you go along you do you? Do you really do? Hot. And who's not after you watch a game this weekend. Then you kinda like the story behind the team. Learn the story behind the team then before you know, it you find yourself Poland for somebody. And you never know who they were before this all started. We're gonna talk about college basketball LSU when we come back with Jeff Palermo, and we will continue our conversation about jury duty have you ever served, and would you mind? "News, weather and sports every half hour on WWL, AM and FM. Tommytucker seven twenty-five targeted. Jeff palermo. wwLcom columnists Louisiana network news director about the LSU signees yesterday as far as recruiting and and this just cracks me up does coach at a press conference yesterday. Louisiana. I don't know who exactly was that. He was yelling at. I don't think it was recruits. Jeff Palermo was that's MLS you players that were just goofing around away. Yeah. That was following practice. You know, the wildest recruiting stuff is going on a team the guys that are on the roster right now you're getting ready for the fiesta bowl. So it was after practice and they were doing some drill just kind of catching some passes off the jug machine. And that was and I don't know if that was the first one or the second one that was the first one it's a few seconds later. He had a end or paused a press conference again and scream at them again. So it was it provided some comic relief. But the fact that he Coachella never missed a beat after he told them to stop making noise, basically. His body language. Doing it for comedic relief. Coach shut up. Hey, let me ask you about this kid the big defensive lineman. What does it look like in terms of him between him and him between LSU in Alabama? Because they got that guy. He's remain meat. They got the guy in the Alabama football staff that is from a meet two years ago. Kind of picked our pocket. What what does this look like to you? How do you think it's shaping up? Yeah. Another tough recruiting battle between LSU in Alabama. You know, the the a couple years ago, I would say northeast Louisiana Alabama came in and took some players from LSU camera in one of the guys that turned out to be a really good offensive tackle for the crimson tide. And now, you got you got the same situation here in the would amied area where you're where you're seeing a quite a battle between LSU and Alabama. I I don't know. I think it's probably fifty fifty right now as far as whether Ishmail stop sure comes to LSU or Alabama. But I know I it's tough when. I know, you know, when you're a Louisiana kid, sometimes, you know, LSU is your dream school. But for other kids that don't necessarily dream about being at LSU to go play for a powerhouse program at Alabama. It's tough to turn down. They call him Ishmail is we'll see if anybody gets at reference. Don't say anything. We'll see if anybody gets what about quarterbacks LSU DB you in the signing yesterday of sting, but. LSU the opposite of QB you the opposite of I guess what I'm saying is Deby you, but is QB you at the other end of the spectrum is LSU struggling to find a quarterback prospect. Will they always struggle? Explain all is TIMMY, Jeff. I don't know if it's gonna happen forever. I think Joe borough will be better next season. Remember exact bet burgers first season as a starter after he transferred in wasn't that great. But Berger was much better the next season when he threw for three thousand yards, but he did have Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham on his team. And I don't think those kind of receivers are on this team right now. But looking ahead to the future. Of course, you got miles Brennan who will be the back next season. They did side one quarterback in this class. And that's pier. Parish out of the state of Alabama who actually won Alabama's class seventy title. He led his high school there. I would say he's more. I mean, he threw for over twenty nine hundred yards at his high school, but he also rushed for over thirteen hundred yards. And whatever you've heard coach at ORs Ron talked about the quarterback position. He's been looking for a guy that's dynamic that can beat you with both his arm and his legs and mater, maybe Peter perish is that guy. They did also recruit. To attack. Oh, OAS younger brother, but he ended up signing at Alabama. And then when you look to the twenty twenty recruiting class LSU already has to commitment. They got a kid TJ Finley from Ponchatoula who's who's a big guy. Six foot six two hundred and thirty pounds. And then max Johnson. Oh, according back from the state of Georgia and Georgia, Florida state. Auburn all committed this kid and so far LSU's got a commitment. He's more of your pro style quarterback six three hundred and fifteen pound kid. So they're trying to address it Tommy. But so far we're still waiting and we've been waiting for a long time since LSU has recruited a kid from high school develop developed him and saw him becoming all SEC player. It's been a long time since that's happened a long time ago for a presidential election. I think it was two thousand late. Tim russert had written on a whiteboard. Florida. Florida Florida, and I think LSU fan were to have a whiteboard, they would write Alabama Alabama Alabama on it. So comparing and contrasting the two days yesterday between Alabama between LSU did LSU make any inroads toward being able to beat Alabama. Well, here's the thing. You you look at it LSU, according to rivals dot com and twenty four seven sports who are kind of your leading recruiting services out there. They both have LS's twenty nineteen recruiting class ranked as the fourth best in the country. That's great. The problem is Alabama's number one. Yeah. Georgia's number two and number three. So the LSU is trying to keep up with the Joneses. But it, but it's not easy up. And you're behind you still behind us less far behind right? Yeah. Yeah. The key is how to take this. What what everyone seems to believe is a very talented class and develop. And what do you play 'em? You gotta hope you. I'll coach them you. Hope he gets when when you play Alabama coach, and you get a couple of breaks and some turnovers in order to beat up. I mean LSU is at least in the near future is not going to go on a stretch where they turn around and start beating Alabama eight times in a row or whatever to streak is at right now. Jeff we got to run out of your time. I really do. Hope you have a merry Christmas. Happy new year. You too. You know, I've gotten about five texting Moby, Dick. So they did get the reference seven thirty one back in a flash right now time for wwl first news for that. We go to David Blake from our Jefferson financial Federal.

"Your opinion. Call 504-260-1870 text eight seventy eight seventy or hit us up on Facebook at WWL radio. Well, what a great time of the year. We got the World Series going on. Although I really think the Astros versus the Red Sox in the American League champion that was for all intents and purposes, the real World Series dodges really overmatched and that, but I'm enjoying the games to also we've got an Alabama LSU coming up next week. What a big game that is going to be. We've got the use deer season and our ably discharged veterans for deer this weekend and the following weekend. It'll be you season for doc. And then we'll have all the hunting seasons opened the fall fishing is good. And we're gonna talk a lot more about that tomorrow morning beginning at five AM by the wind gusts tackle in Slidell. So come on by day between five and nine and got a big tent sale going on. We're gonna have a lot of fun meeting. Some of the reps of the manufacturers companies there. All right. So we also talking to Jeff Palermo about that that hit that put Devon white out for the first half of the Alabama game. Jeff, we got another Jeff on from the West Bank online to Jeff your thoughts. Good afternoon. Problem is. People were changing the word with the meaning of talking. If I'm football player defense football player and my my face masks, hit you in your chest. And. Meiomi issue. You raise mass is that targeting. That's not. Jeff. What would the rule saying the way you interpret the rule would that be talking? Talking about the other Jeff Jeff Palermo. Well as long as your head is up. I it's not targeting again. And if you're making the contacted to in the chest area. Yeah. That's that's not our. It's one you want. When when and this is this is even hard. I'm not I'm not the rules expert here. Don, I just gotta read the roll about fifteen times this week to understand the best I possibly can. But if the crowd of your helmet and ends up hitting and you're using it as a spear then. Yeah, that's that. Well, let me ask you both. You Jeff's this question if I'm down low lower than the quarterback, and I'm coming in an upward movement in my my face masks, hits him in the chest and the tip of my helmet hits his face masks. Do you think that's going to be talking? I guarantee you they're gonna throw targeting on that one. They should based on the way to rule is written. And when you go again when you go to Devon white situation. It's it's just a hand. And the hands up into the shoulder area. That's where they have a problem. And and again, it does look like his his helmet does not hit his chest area for sure. But it it appears that it does make contact with his helmet while it is LA Onslow. Oh, it doesn't look like it's a significant head, but it his helmet does appear to make contact his helmet. But if your helmet and you make contact into the chest area that should not be called targeting. Even if the the momentum or just a movement of the two bodies results in the helmet then coming up and hitting the other player in the helmet. I got one here. It says it's a simple solution. But I doubt that it says the simple solution to all this targeting inconsistency would be smart helmets incorporating a shock sensor if you set it off it's a penalty. If you don't it's illegal hit. Maybe. Yeah. That's that's a tricky one. I think you'd have a lot of sensors going off during the game here's one that says it was not a direct hit. It was a secondary hit after the helmet of white hit FitzGerald initially in the upper chest shoulder pan area in the momentum of the hit carried through to the helmet of FitzGerald. But it was helmet-to-helmet even though it was not a direct hit. Now. It could have been I couldn't tell from what I've seen whether his helmet actually touched it came very close. If it didn't. And that might be the right explanation for it. Yeah. I think it's helmet did make contact with Fitzgerald's helmet. I think it did. I think we're again, we're fans who really don't think the call is. Correct. One thing that it's because he didn't make contact with the top of his helmet, and then he made contact with the the shoulder area. But they the the head is high. They hit is high and. As the first caller mentioned, you know, we started this segment dot at it appeared that Devon he could have gone lower. It seems like he certainly could have gone lower and could have avoided this entire mess. Well, that seems to be the answer if our coaching. I was you know, trying to differentiate between what is talking to. You is what it not with a good hard hit on a defenseless player. I would say, you know, if you hit him in the chest. You got a much better shot, even though that's not going to be the cure all because I guess if they say, they can they can interpret that is to be it still was a defensive player and defenceless play. And it was too hard of a hit. Maybe I don't know. Yeah. They. As far as the impact of the head. And how hard it is. I I don't think that should. Again, we're we're getting into the weeds here. Well, it's in the weeds. You gotta get a new weeds when you talk about this try to pull it out. But I mean, if there's a good clean hard hit and knows happen. It should it should never be called as long as it's clean as long as it's going to the the key is to try to stay away from the head area that that really is the key in this in this whole conversation and don't lead with your helmet. Don't lead with the crown of your helmet. You can go in with your shoulder. You can go in with your face mask up that would help and stay away from the head area. If you try if you do that. And again that's easier said than done fed and done when you're going. You know, these guys some of these guys are going eighteen twenty miles an hour when they're running and the other player is moving his body, and you got to adjust to that or there's there's just so much going on. It's it's not easy. So it's tough. It's tough in its. It's something that the team has to live through live with at this point, hopefully, use it as a learning lesson it, I think more importantly for the team they use this whole situation as a rallying cry for them. And this has been a team that we've seen as twenty eight Vert twenty eighteen version, it seems like they perform well when people count them out or it seems like it's damn against the rest of the world, and they played really well, nobody thought they can beat Miami. And they beat them. Nobody thought they can go into Auburn and beat them. And even when they fell behind against Auburn. I'm sure nobody thought they could win and they came back to win. Nobody really gave them a chance to be Georgia. And they they they whipped them pretty good by twenty points. So, you know, the one game that I think people thought they had a chance to win was against Florida. They didn't win. And so nobody's giving him a chance here at Alabama. And now the odds got tougher because they're not gonna have their best player for the first half. And. Well, it could be a rallying cause for the rest of the team. In one thing's for sure they're going to approach the record noise level when Devon white does take the field after that second half kickoff. I tell you it will be great walk out on the field. You're you're right about that. Jeff, thanks for spending the time with us as always really appreciate it. All right. Don, you have a good one YouTube. "We're gonna have. Webb. Jeff Palermo news, director of the Louisiana network. Joining us to talk about LSU, Jeff one of the things that was really refreshing to see. We actually hit field goals. Depressive, coal, Tracy went four for four. He kicked a fifty four yard and a forty three yard. I don't know. How many I don't know? There have been LSU games when we line up for field goal. I have no fingernails left, and it was just so refreshing to see him perform the other night. Yeah. Really tire special teams unit played well they had a kicker can kick the ball out of the end zone. So you didn't have to worry about returns. They did well on punts, but call Tracy that was especially last year. They they had such a problem with that position. And LSU has had a good run of maybe not great field goal kickers or guys that have gone on to the NFL. But they've had good solid kickers for college football guys that are gonna make the kick, and you know, eighty percent of the time or whatever it was. But last year was really rough has at ores Ron was rotating through kicker, so he decided to fix it. And what he did is is he used one of his twenty five scholarships. That it can give out every year it usually those twenty five scholarships. Go out. I guy that you plan on having in your programme for four or five years. But here he just gave out one of those scholarships to a guy that he knows he can only have them for one year, and that's cold Tracy's, basically, a graduate transfer very much like Joe borough, but burrow has two years of eligibility lap Tracy's just got one. So you got them for just one season. So if pixes the problem for this year or certainly fixed it in a game against Miami. I assume that this guy is going to go out and have a really good season. But that's nice weapon. Have especially the first game to tie at school record with a fifty four yard field goal. Absolutely. So we have southeast Louisiana. Coming into Baton Rouge. Their quarterback went twenty eight to thirty nine for three hundred fifty eight yards and four touchdowns, albeit they lost. They seem to be a team that desires to throw a ball quite a bit. Yeah. They they have been a running team there. Under Ron Roberts their previous head coach. They rush for. I believe they average maybe something like two hundred and eighty yards a game under coach Roberts last year. But Christel fo- comes in. He's opened it up. He got himself a quarterback and chasing Virgil I transfer from Fresno state, so he has taken over as starting quarterback and had a good game at a good game against you L lab, and they nearly beat that nearly beat the war hawks. They had a chance to tie the game before the end of regulation. But they had a field goal kick that was blocked so their faith a quarterback that's been on the F B S level the same level as LSU, and it's not gonna be intimidated. Just because he's playing in tiger stadium. Coach Ed orange runoff talked about how they they give you a lot of different front different looks offensively. So it's got be a good test. It's obviously a game that LSU should win. It shouldn't be much of a contest especially entering the fourth quarter. But. Like, I was saying in the last segment, I think it really it comes at a good time this game because you had a you played a good opponent last week. And he got a very good opponent coming up next week. So gets a chance to to really iron out some things. And again, I think for LSU you're just looking for a good performance offensively officiant where are you able to have ability to run and throw the football. And I think defensively one thing they would like to do is is not give up the big play. There were a couple of plays especially in the fourth quarter against Miami. Where LSU's defense got beat on? So they'll certainly want to try to eliminate that here. Tomorrow night. You know, LSU periodically have had some down the times with a lesser opponents anticipate that here. No, I don't think this is another Troy that's going to happen. Now that was last year that choice choice choice always got a very competitive team. Yeah. But you really especially considering southeastern FCF school. So they got what sixty five scholarship players compared to LSU's eighty eighty five or so so you real LSU shouldn't have much of a trouble much trouble here. Right. But Nick, I mean, you're seeing these FCS schools beating I mean beating teams a little bit more regular with a little bit more regularity. But not it shouldn't happen when eleventh ranked team in the country. Yeah. Nichols beating Kansas those things happen all the time. In college football, Kansas is one of the worst teams and. The country on the FBI's level. But when you're a top fifteen even top twenty five opponents when when you go up against these types of schools, like south eastern, you should be able to beat them pretty handedly mean TCU really whipped up on southern last week. Those are the kind of the games at your anticipating you just want to get better from it avoid injury. And then move onto the next game. I if you're LSU you predict a win and how about a score. Well, yeah, I feel as she went in this game. I'm gonna say something like forty two ten some something in that vicinity. We'll take and move on Auburn, which should be really tough. No, all righty, Jeff. Thanks so much for joining us is Jeff Palermo news, director of the Louisiana network. Always enjoy your insight have a great weekend. Get to Roddy. Awhile since we've gone into a season and just had so many question marks especially on offense you're not sure who. Will emerge as the top running back or who's really going to merge their. Top, wide receiver we finally found out, this week that Joe borough will be the. Starting quarterback obviously not too big of. A surprise but you don't know much about Joe borough, you've seen, a few highlights of. Them it, looks like you. Throw the deep ball pretty well but he's he's a big unknown Steven, Singer the offense, coordinator we've heard a. Lot of fifty fifty between running past three wide receiver four. Wide receivers set five wide receivers that's maybe so spreading the field out a little bit more. I think what thing we could count on is that. LSU will have a really good defense, Dave ran, has got. A really. Good group of players they got some depth On the defensive line I think this is the strongest to you it's been in years and. The addition of Christian Fulton now that he, has been reinstated by the NC, double a. really gives LSU. Two very, good cornerback with him and greedy Williams and then Miami there's question marks with them as well they lose. A bit from a team that last year that got back into the national conversation of in college football a have. Been quiet lately Mark richt in his first year really turn out program around. They, feasted on turnovers they want some, close games started out ten at o. kind. Of fell off the fell off the. Cliff though there at the end of the season but, still a, good team I don't. Know if, there is good. As they are ranked I mean or a top ten team I think, they're ranked a, little bit high I. Think there's too much hype around them but very obviously a. Tough test for LSU and probably should go in as a slight underdog as they are at. Least what the Las Vegas oddsmakers have take a break. When we come back Back we'll talk Jeff about coach yo I get. A tax tiered says normally, at Ozone's very peppy and end up during, his press conference but he. Seemed quite subdued the other day which has me worried we'll. Talk about, him LSU expectations patients etc. Jeff Palermo's our guest we're talking about LSU. And if you have any questions or comments, we'd love, to, hear from you two six zero one eight seventy basically what kind of season do you think they're going to have and his coach the man seven twenty one traffic now wwl.

"Lsu trying to avoid the sweet today in south carolina twelve thirty first pitch eleven to four the tigers got tasted pretty good yesterday spotted the gamecocks an eight to nothing lead then lost on friday eleven enough got shut out joining us now scott sanders former major league baseball pitcher at yo sandman twentyseven on twitter scott look i was just have a conversation with jeff palermo and just talking about this this lsu lineup they're so young and they just it seems like if it's a quality pitching staff in the sec l she's not gonna be able hit them consistently and that's a tough thing about it you know every every weekend sec you're gonna face you know two or three really studs especially friday guy and right now with so many injuries going down you know some guys have been put some spots that really aren't supposed to be in those spots so it's really kind of unfair to to think that hey they're going to go in there on a role take two out of three or sweep south carolina even though south carolina is obviously not having the typical south carolina here but but they you know every friday night and saturday it's going to be tough you know and and the key is you know day like today they have to go out and win today today's huge they're nine and eight right now in the sec what does it usually take to qualify for an ncaa tournament probably gonna have about twelve or thirteen sec wins at least i i really i really i still see them getting a regional you know i don't know if they'll be being lining hosting a national seat you know.

"Characteristic for us to have a turnover we're one for ten from the three point line which really is uncharacteristic for us but but to hold up to thirty six percent field goals from from the floor is is critical for us tonight and the other critical stat did i see they average eighteen free throws made a game seventeen and a half they haven't even got to the free throw line this half chris had got zero from the line that the the other thing that they beat us on they have seven offensive rebounds which has kept them in play here with a twelve point deficit but other than that we've done really nice job slowing them down off three point line not putting him on the free throw line the rebounds or or we're we're we're we're ahead of four and rebounding department four or five and rebounding department if we take a little bit bit better care of the ball keep the ball to the rim don't give the offensive rebounds in big stat keep them off the free throw line we should be in good shape here in the second half waters played just eleven minutes got too early fouls had one field goal dole allowed a couple of assists but again schuyler maze kind of handling the point for the most part you kinda hope for mont waters comes back in reenergized gets going in the third quarter he could really make this game we'll figure out a twelve point lead without germont having an impact on his game to this point that's a positive for us because i don't think they're gonna keep him down for forty minutes he's go come alive at some point in the second half and help us win this game forty two twenty eight tigers laid over the region cajun's more on the halftime report coming up jack again around the sec mississippi state playing later tonight but jeff palermo with a chance to tell us all the postseason action coming up for the sec which all begins this week later we'll take a look at the stats and facts brought to you by t mobile.
