This afternoon though the big traffic incident you just heard about in Silver Spring, the police chase ending in a crash into a metro bus, watching right now in camera, the minivan that mounted the police car has been winched off the cruiser and is being towed from the scene. The bus and cruiser involved along with the investigation, though keeps Georgia avenue closed southbound between sligo avenue and east west highway. Earlier last hour, they reopened the northbound lanes of Georgia avenue, and northbound traffic delays have eased out quite a bit. It still congested on 16th street ponti branch road and Blair wrote, but it's really only slow once you get into Silver Spring around. Let's say a Fenton street and Cole's field road. So not a huge traffic impact. I'd say the weather is more impactful this afternoon. It's certainly slippery out there. Take your time on the Cloverleaf ramps, merging on and off the highways. It's going to take some time in the rainy conditions on two 70, 95 Baltimore Washington Parkway in Virginia on 66, three 95 and 95. In the district, they were doing road work despite the weather, southbound on south capitol street near Audi field and the Douglas bridge, only one lane to the left was getting by. And disappointing delays were in week two now with the signals malfunctioning at Pennsylvania and Minnesota, avid is southeast. Not giving enough green time for outbound drivers, and that's why we're in slow traffic, leaving eastern market across the Sousa bridge

Hopefully we'll get some lanes open. And I think things are shouldered now on the beltway coming out of the Springfield interchange. There have been reports of possibly a truck crash beyond Braddock road. I can't see in the camera, so hopefully it's over on the shoulder. All right, the delay from Maryland toward Virginia. I think we've got our work sound again that's coming toward the Georgetown pike from GW Parkway, the delay is back in Maryland on two 70 on the spur near democracy boulevard on the bellway back new year old Georgetown road. All right, staying in Virginia Braddock road west at campus drive, that wreck had been in the left lane. There is a work zone, not causing a huge delay, 66 west out in your 50 fairfax in the left lane, but there's now a delay as you leave the beltway, headed westbound, watching maybe we've got a work crew. You've got some very slow traffic to deal with as well in Maryland on the beltway topside outer loop just around right now from about colesville road toward Georgia avenue. The inner loop is slower because you're trying to exit south onto Connecticut avenue down your Jones bridge road, the crews working at a left lane only getting by. Clean up of a crash and derwood was on muncaster mill road between Louisville road and redland road, traffic had been getting by under police direction this vehicle was on its side, so please be very careful. All right, we've got reports of a work zone causing Lake delays in the district, just no lane information. D.C. two 95 going southbound as you approach the 11th street bridge it is very heavy and very slow. Also with caution as you come off the key, the Roosevelt, the memorial bridges riding into the district, you're riding toward the district. "Is down 540 points. It's taking longer for homes to sell now. I'm Jeff Gable. One 18. Traffic and weather on the 8s to read a Kessler in the traffic center. Well, you might be getting a little bit of relief on the westbound span of the bay bridge. They pulled the work zone, so all three lanes are available to you on the westbound span of the bridge. Right now you do still have delays westbound that are after canton narrows. More often on in stretches trying to hit across the bridge, but callers who are traveling through that delay say it is moving a lot better. Now that they've picked up the work, eastbound looks great, coming from the 7 river bridge to the bay bridge with both of your lanes open. We do have a bit of a delay on northbound I 97 after the Hawkins road overpass, so keep an eye out for anything going on there. Northbound Baltimore, Washington Parkway slows from greenbelt road headed to powder mill road, and the interloop top side of the beltway, the delay is from Georgia avenue all the way toward New Hampshire avenue. This is the mobile crew on the right side, northbound 29, colesville road, after university boulevard, the crash was reported along the right side. If you're in Virginia delays in both directions headed toward Georgetown pike with the work in the left lane. We also have a delay on the inner loop coming out of Springfield toward Braddock road. That should be due to a work crew. Westbound 66 slows inside the beltway near the dulles connector road, the work was set up in the left lane, then a delay after the beltway headed past not least street with the work in the left lane. The eastbound backup from net league toward the beltway is that long-term work zone, that's going to be their most of the week taking the left lane of four, you go from four to three, and that's constant headed toward the beltway. Southbound 28 before 66, the work in the left lane. Callers on eastbound 7 had been stopped at near colvin run near bula's where the work is. There may be some temporary stop just going on there or possibly alternating traffic. New Hampshire over toward George avenue, two 70s wide open north and south between Bethesda and Frederick, even the BW Parkway is looking better. We're still a little heavy southbound from one 98 down toward NASA Goddard. The inner loop of the beltway is good at a college park as you head down toward the Woodrow Wilson bridge, little heavy on the outer loop as you pass two O two toward 50 and then again, a little heavy traffic after four 50 toward the Baltimore Washington Parkway. Keep an eye out just in case we've got any roving mobile crews. No big issues down toward the Woodrow Wilson bridge Very slow traffic, though, en route 5 branch avenue going southbound just beyond the merge if you will from three O one headed down toward brandywine, nothing reported yet. New trouble though in Virginia, 66 Cohen west, I think we've got a crash. I'll be on one 23 as you head toward 50. Eastbound looked good at a Gainesville just a little heavy traffic approaching the beltway. 95 against slowing in lorton across the aka kwon, then again briefly in dumfries. Northbound, you look good, falmouth into Springfield, three 95s fine, leaving the beltway all the way up toward the 14th street bridge without much of a delay. Traffic moving nicely in both directions on I two 70 with no issues to report on route 50, currently at the Chesapeake Bay bridge where seeing through our traffic cameras, two lanes open east bounded to the right that are getting over the westbound span, and we're in decent shape also on route three O one no problems report over at the nice Mac Middleton bridge. In the district, we've cleared up a broken down east capital street ramp to go to southbound D.C. two 95 that eastbound ramp all open, broken down camper, cleared from the roadway, staying in the district, traffic still moving slowly, southbound on D.C. two 95 after eastern avenue of the road where currently set up lock and Elaine Steve dresner, WTO traffic.
