Don wrap this just up to the minute not that. It's not possible but hey every one of those teams has been to a cup. Your the dallas is one carolina one temple on l. a. anaheim all the suncoast teams so as much as people try to hate on them. You gotta give you gotta give people there do they. I mean they're doing an awesome job in tampa their owner. Jeff finnick son an amazing job. one other thing i had written down here. We went pretty long time. You retreated for a brewery. Yeah i mean it's summertime you get the phone call loose. I mean. I knew because i wanted. I wanted to one way contract. I had earned a one way contract. I'd been in the minors that done the same thing. I go back to earlier. All these other guys were getting one way deals a candy to five fifty fifty seven fifty and a katy skinny. And they're like oh well we're gonna give you four hundred over seventy five. I'm like what are we do so anyway. So honestly right. Witkin help absorb so on principle i went to. That's how i went to detroit and played in the minors but being part of that deal was crazy. Because he's such a star. And we had jovial. Sam gonyea. Sorry on his dad myself and i think mike brown. What sucks is when. You're a part of those deals. The expectations are always through the roof. Always anytime you're in one of those deals that's almost a new snow win but it got me my one way and it got me more games league which was happy with no well. This was outstanding. We plastic wrapping already. Guys are changed now your corporate now. You're in forbes. You're gone eight hours later. Rock while they just broke sabres named don granado next head broke out. You know what i think. That's a great hire a different team onto him. I think donny did an outstanding job. There are boys and the boys love platform is. You could see a remember. Those guys were in the carpet like dirt. They were down as you've seen anyone be down in this league. In twenty years. I saw like how many fans are. Oh yeah i'll do dessert. Dole's talked guys in that group like we. It was a problem getting up to go to the rink. Like define motivation for those guys and he was able to pick those guys up. I think he didn't awesome job. So nice on you. Get br break versus via twitter. Let me jam you guys up on the record since ronald guys jam me up so i wanna jam you back up in a good way to as you did me. What's the latest because you guys don't like to talk about yourselves and you're doing amazing things that i want to know who about i can no but with all the stuff you guys are doing and i gotta tell you. I get asked time and time again. I read this article. I read this in the global mill. I read this in the national post. I read this in usa. Today i read some forbes. What does it tell me about. Those might be father lot shortly. Has the pink whitney literally in our last at our mind meals something last week. It's in the freezer. That's that's where. I leave my. It's in the freezer. Nice it's i i. It's just a hop in you kind of mentioned earlier how how empty you're left feeling in some of the situations where people have you had control. That was one thing that i ended up talking to brandt myers when he was at the organization. Where you're going to help out the guys transition. He said you know. When i got out of playing and everything got cleaned up. He ended up creating his own. Llc that way he's had his own control and could bill people rather than be under people's control hundred percent. When i say underpin on and all i know exactly but like i don't i can't. The mainstream media stuff is hard for me. Because it's not naturally how i talked i talked. I talked in the locker room. So we so i just wanted to eventually do do my own thing and frankly for me that these guys had already started this podcast and we were able to kind of do things our own way and with the fans that came associated that they kind of direct as to what they like and don't like and everything really just taking on a mind of its own and we're extremely grateful and we. We talked about it last night. How we got g. Who's a young the younger guy in the crews keeping us informed with what all the younger kids like got. Ra who's you know. Live the life thousand. He snuck in ten ten cup parties and he. He grew up the way that he did. And then of course you know with the way he played has his credibility and then i'm kind of like the clown so it's been it's been a great ride and you know all that stuff is i don't say i don't say it's noise documentation of some of the crazy things that have happened along the way of those things. Are they going. I stepped into was a pallet money..

"This is the Gerry Callahan. Podcast oh man. I don't know if I could take it. I'm looking at Tom Brady in another uniform. It hurts it hurts guys. I mean it's it's just it's heartbreaking this virus thing this little virus thing. I think I got it. It's tough but looking at Brady and a tap uniforms a little tougher and I want you guys but it hurts enure right to. I mean a big party has to feel like Uber Call. You're the guy that called Tampa. Many this is kind of your moment to shine. This is all hail. Everyone bend the knee as soon as the show ended. I got a text. Jerry said Hey do you think you can find that audio and then tweeted on social. I'm glad you did that because everyone else who's taken victory laps did you see Colin Cowherd? He says I any added right. And then this Guy Funhouse who's On twitter is good at the he catches Francesa and all kinds allies in all kinds of silliness and so he posts calling cowherds history on this story and literally cowherd had every team every team. The chargers the rams the dolphins the the raiders had every team signing Brady at some point and then finally yesterday he says the deal is almost done with the bucks. I had it I I had it right. Which was comical Gerry Callahan? Podcast to be honest with you. Didn't we name every scenario as well? Everybody did I mean. Is that Kinda gone all winter but it got to say it was January day founded if you didn't see it if you didn't see the tweet Dave founded it was January twenty eighth twenty eighth. Yeah actually it was. It was a day before you're on talking about the cowboys rumor. Right that's true. That's true and mute was all of that COB and if if he went to the Cowboys Mute. You would look like a genius. But you know he didn't say don't just a loser again go put but you and I both knew he was moving on wasn't coming back to her. Lots of people in New England said you know coming back. There's actually a story in the Herald today. That says Bill Belichick was shocked when Brady told him his decision which I do not believe for one second bell check knew this was happening. He knew he was leaving a long time ago. It was January when I was in the halls of a legacy club. And somebody there said Pulled me aside and I said you know. It's gotta be whatever the chargers. It's gotTa be the raiders you know these glamour teams. That seem like they made sense is guy said no it's Tampa and that was before the Super Bowl Brady has has a had this plan. This was the plan for two months. Now the idea that this just popped up that Brady just took the Brady had to go through all the other offers. He didn't. He decided on tamper a long time ago. And if anyone tells you different than wrong this morning Jeff. Darlington says Tampa emerged as the team. I think he said late February I saw many. Spn that's not true. Brady has picked out along an for two months. It sure seems that way from from the talks of everything he has been very impressed with. Not Just Bruce Arians as a coach but the receivers and the river beal weapons that are going to be present for him in Tampa and I tell you what throwing a Mike Evans and Chris. Goodwin are two pretty good options for them in your finally. You're also getting back to some some great coaching. In the flexibility of the way in which Ruthenians coaches that system is pretty similar to what Brady ran in New England. So there's not going to be a ton of Learning curve not I mean after you play twenty years. They're really not a lot of learning curve because he's seen it all. I really think the transition's going to be smooth based on the personnel and the coaching. See I give. I give Brady a lot of credit for this for two reasons. I mean it's a football move. There's not like he went there if it were Las Vegas Mute if it were. La You'd say. Oh He's going there for whatever his production company that's another one. I heard yesterday they did before. This came down someone said. La was the favorite because he had just started a production company and he wants to be close to Hollywood. If it were Vegas say he's he loves Vegas. He loves the Glamour. This is not a glamorous place warm. It's a warm place of all the choices when you look at the uniform and you look at the helmet of all the choices. This is the least glamorous by far the least sexy by far so sexy for the Strip clubs in Tampa thing that you have but will release Joyce Mons Venus your place Mons Venus. It's what I've heard. I don't think it had anything to do with off field anything and again with Jeff Darlington. Who's been the story for months? He said this morning the one of the deciding factors was proximity to New York City. They were in the best position to show Tom Brady that. They were the spot for him. Jeff I think Tampa Bay had a geographic advantage. That a lot of other teams didn't the raiders. Route West chargers around west and while Tom Brady easily could have flown back east to be with his family. It's easier to do it from the East Coast now. I'm not the you know the greatest geographic expert in the world. But did I miss something? When when did the earth shifter something is New York City near Tampa absolutely? It's a quick jet blue flights like fifteen minutes. I I know the Yankees train and Tampa. That's connection maybe but tell me this. How many teams are closer to New York and Tampa? I counted ten off the top of my head I wore. I'd probably go more Atlanta Philadelphia. Pittsburgh this is the idea that it's called. Whatever that's just another dumping. I heard I well. That's a stupid thing is I? Let Myself Fall into that one and then all of a sudden the the New York giants crept into my head. I'm like what if he gets the proximity to New York is really close. Real close I know and I was like end the irony of that whole thing of going back to to the team that beat you twice in the Super Bowl and just to think of all the New York fans who eight Tom. Having to embrace him to be the quarterback than the the the the story writes itself. I mean you could be better than listening to that man. It's but when you think about it. We went through all the scenarios from the giants. To the Rams Raiders. Everything and the niners you know where he grew up and his neck. La was ever in it. I really never in consideration and mute. The niners was a total made up. The nine is nothing. It never a possibility. Who's who started the niners route was it. I don't know I think it was Tommy. Current which is agreed. That was going to happen. No it was not I mean. The thought that they would swap a twenty eight year old. That was super bowl. Fr Forty three year old but he didn't like even Christian for you. It was just like that is not true. That is not happening. That is really really not going to work and as Ben Right from all along here he said you know Tampa. He said the nine has never ended. He said Brady was no interest in living in La. So the the the charges were always were never on the radar according to Christian but again Brady to his credit. Pick this for football reasons. There's nothing glamorous about it does nothing really attractive about Tampa when you think about his supermodel wife and his production company and all that none of it mattered. It doesn't I don't I don't believe that by the way I think to it. I don't know what it is and I'm not going to sit here and just speculate bullshit. You know why the the the school system to like I mean that was part of that whatever and was talking about like the grits rise in Nashville. I don't I don't think like Tampa's like one of the top rated places to educate your children tweet tweet last night. Did you see the tweet last night? From Scott Hanson the red zone. He said a source tells me Tom Brady. Derrick Jeeter Bill Gates at Tampa Bay lightning owner Jeff. Vinik had dinner Sunday night in Tampa. This isn't like Tom Brady. Trying to recruit Kevin Durant to come to Boston because he has all these options. Tom Brady had basically two three options. Max He doesn't need the recruitment process he knew how much money he was gonna get. There is something else for Tom. Brady. I don't know what it is. I'm not saying it's shady. I'm not saying it's anything but is he having dinner with these people when I said to him for anything back when I told you he was going to Tampa I said and people said you know that's not a very attractive city. I said he's GonNa live next. Derek jeter you can look for that one too. If you want to the other thing is that you mentioned is the name Jeff Vinik now. Jeff used to Run the Fidelity Magellan Fund back in the day and then ran his own hedge fund and made a ton of money in trading stocks. He went down there and has bought a ton of real estate in Tampa and owns a lot of the downtown in his cleaned. It up so that could be something to think about in the an aspects of Tom Brady expanding. Tb twelve brand and maybe setting up headquarters down there because of the tax benefits as well also remember that. It's the taxes going to Florida No state income tax. So you're saving a lot of money that goes right to the bottom line. That's true but I don I you know that's all well and good and up short jeeter and Jeff Finnick You know rent reassured him that this case places to live and good private schools for kids but I think Brady Brady made this decision because of the weapons. The coach first of all the coach convinced him that he he could drive in this offense and the coach convinced him. Did he would concede some of the or seed some of the power and and whatever it the Brady would get to mantle but run the offense but certainly have a say. In running the offense you would agree with that correct. I think it's absolutely hilarious. When you're talking about the different head. Coaching styles between like Bruce Arians who literally does not spent his entire time in the office and is a very laid back players coach and going from that from bill. Belichick is you couldn't go pretty much opposite. Sides of the spectrum on on how things are run With with Bruce Arians. But the other thing is that you do look at this as a football decision. And as I mentioned before you have with Mike and Mike Evans and Chris Goodwin on the outside of the camera bright and Oj. Howard the two tight ends on the inside. There's also the the big rumor that we haven't really talked about. And we kinda touch. Yesterday is Antonio Brown right. And there's rumors that he's joining Tampa and he's coming in to join that group. You bring that guy in. You're getting the crazy factor. Yes but you're also Kim needs a massive massive of talent on that offense in. That's a team that can compete for a super bowl right now. Right and that's the I think that's the reason he's doing witness for that offense for that talent. That coach that chance to I don't know about win the Super Bowl but certainly you know win. Ten Eleven twelve ten eleven games get to the playoffs winning a playoff game maybe get to a conference championship and he looked at New England and said I don't think that's happening. He looked New England. Said there's just so much they're just so much better deeper in Tampa. I just give them a better chance and I think he got excited when he met with or talk to. Aryans and said this coach is GonNa let me you know. Surround me with talent and let me have a say in this. I don't think he hates. Pella check but I do think he's. He's looking forward to playing for someone else ethic that excites them. There's definite the fact that plan for someone else into to not constantly be. I don't want to say talk down to but I think you've you've heard the stories in how Belch I coached him. The hardest and at some point it wears on you some some guys that only takes five years. It took him twenty years. You've got I think the resiliency to be able to take that for twenty years says a ton about him as a person. Because eventually you know. That's why coaches burn out. Layers just stopped. They stopped listening to them at some point in time and their voice just doesn't hurt and and and I think that that's kind of what happened but it took twenty years to do that. That doesn't happen. It's amazing. The greatest coach player tandem ever in any sport. The greatest run. I mean the numbers people running over the numbers. Brady's numbers are just staggering in the ones that matter the winds you know he's a million games over five hundred. He's had three separate hall of fame careers. Essentially you know beginning middle and if you break them out they're all like would would would get him into the hall of fame. It's just incredible. No one's going to top and no one's going to catch him but you could but it would have been easy to come back to New England would have been easy to finish here. I mean I assume they would add some talent around him. It wouldn't be grim as it was at the end of last year. They might find a tight end. Finally I just think in his mind he He has confidence that he can go there and win there. I think that Bella check is okay with this. I don't think shocked. I think he knows he's known. For a couple of months the B- Brady was leaving and he's cool. He's like he's ready to move on to man he's he's been looking forward to this day for a few years where he gets to rebuild with a new guy young. I don't know it is we. Have you not been reading? Ben Volant? You would think that Bill. Belichick has no plan whatsoever. If you fall silly which is ridiculous. I find that to be ridiculous. He's always had a contingency plan I really hope it's not Andy Dalton because the more and more you hear that the more that that kind of would make me sicker.

"Are you know closing in on you know each year we try to do five thousand hours a year were probably gonna do eight thousand this year we just finished the strikes a kindness day back in September you know we when we won the president's trophy last year the the glee gives you a hundred thousand dollars and Jeff first thing was okay how we gonna get this back to the community we spent the entire day going to you know that's Paul ministries feeding Tampa Bay junior achievement with the fire houses we went to Dunkin donuts we went to all these different places players coaches all front office including Jeff Finnick giving back to the community not only financially but to voluntary all these different places and and get in getting back into the community it's unreal what they do and I think the next evolution we're seeing it when you park and you walk up and you see the construction what's gonna Sparkman war if you're sitting kind of in the cat bird seat when it comes to not just the game experience anymore but it entire city experience by the time it's all done how many years away are we realistically from coming down here and everything being built and everything you know you've got a million restaurants within a stone's throw it out am I right now Sparkman morph is is is coming alive you know with the JW Marriott will be opened up probably a year from now okay ready for Super Bowl which will be in twenty twenty one you know there's probably another five buildings that. are gonna come out of the ground and be built in the next you know two years in so you'll see that transformation the next two to three years of of all these buildings being completed in people living down here people working down here underneath it all the different buildings along Water Street will have retail underneath it so you'll you'll see the the activation of Water Street really come alive include and so it's gonna be a pretty pretty amazing you ever personally I know you can't the Minnesota wild and if you're late about you did you ever in a million years and vision that type of scenario when you were coming up through sports where there would be a whole basic village built around a sports team and building but we did a little bit that trauma when I was with them at the Air Canada.

"Online in five minutes if a human being isn't talking to your looking at your documents and running your credit and things like that then you're not actually getting pre approved and most realtors know that out there and they don't like and it's not just rocket mortgage could be a million different companies but they don't like that's a lot of really is gonna call and ask for an actual pre approval letter not a pre qualification letter which is what these people issue if if you're looking to get a mortgage guys were the use my company or not you need to have your credit ran you need to talk to a licensed mortgage loan originator you don't use a computer everybody in the industry is is aware that I can walk get on the computer right now say make a million dollars a year and get a you know five million dollar pre approval letter that's not worth the paper it's written on so choose to work with a local guy looking for a roof don't work for the national company work with a small company like sun because roofing solution somebody that you can talk to in touch yeah and Brian were going to tell you if you want to get a hold of his company it's synapse F. L. dot dot com S. why in a P. S. E. F. L. dot com in a little bit later in the segment were to talk about his summits are because they have two incredible events coming up right here in central Florida you can attend to learn more but before we do that in the second segment now we are talking by merciless the three main things that synapse dies we got through two of them connecting investors in there now you also help with crowd sourcing and things like that now we're going to number three and then I'm a tell Brian that just take a step back and tell us how you got into things Doug what do you say nine zero Tieline Daschle companies I read this article today of this National Review company that's down in they're all over that you know and I think they're like eighteen different states and they actually think about I think kicked out of Florida really gave they've done such bad business they homers again playing complaining complaining they finally like state of Florida revoke their purple and rights that's good that's it I mean don't don't you guys all feel that we should get a little bit back to basics in in trying to to work local by local shop local you know help out of any Americans have a great drive in and we're all such entrepreneurial spirits you know why it why not help but you know Walmart's great when you got to go to it but if you can go to your local corner store to pick something up support the local guy if you can that's the way as well yeah that's that's brings opinion of the day moving back to Brian corn fell Brian what is the third thing that synapse dies and then I want you to take a step back in in just tell yet tell us how you got to be the into the point you are with this company yes so the third thing that we do it is our summit or synapse events and up the some it's the biggest thing that we're best known for especially around the area we've done to in twenty eighteen and twenty nineteen and twenty eighteen March is when we really announced our presence to the world with our first synapse on it and as we were building and starting to get some momentum for this event men and we started to plan this round Emly arena first off if you ever want to plan a large conference in three months don't just don't it's a it's a lot of work and there's no way we would have been able to pull it off without the support of the community and a great team and great volunteers but we thought we would have about fifteen hundred people in thirty five hundred people showed up and that showed a need and we had two hundred fifty seven exhibitors around the arena and it could've been anyone from a start up just the ideation phase all the way to a top notch corporation that's like a connect wise that recently sold for one point five billion dollars that could be next to each other and growing partnerships doing business together and that's what we do with the summits as we really bring people together and we re create a village that we don't have in a downtown whether it's in Tampa or St Pete or anywhere around the state of Florida where the collisions are natural in in other areas like in Chicago if I were to go to Chicago and I wanted to meet a lot of like minded entrepreneurs I would know the exact location ago I'd go to eighteen seventy one their local innovation hub and we don't have that here anywhere in the state of Florida and so if we can just recreate that over two days we can rapidly create these connections to take place it really makes the world of difference we grew it between twenty eighteen and twenty nineteen from thirty five hundred people to about fifty five hundred people we had over three hundred exhibitors over three hundred speakers this past year at and we're proud to announce twenty twenty will be right back at Emily Arina February eleventh and twelfth tickets will go on sale August first and synapse summit dot com you can already go to set up some a dot com and click a save the date and add it to your calendar so that way it's already blocked off and your boss can't schedule another meeting over it it's the marquee tech of that of the state it really is the place to calm the place to build connections there is it is it only for tech companies for everybody they should start it's thank you yeah yeah yeah yeah sometimes I tripped over myself I'll hang my head in shame for how do you come up with your speakers and and you know was there to pull topic you say they speak about we we have a great vice president of community engagement she really puts together our program and she tells a story better than anyone else her name's Lorin Prager and she deserves a lot of credit for this because she thinks about the diversity across the state between the industry's between the diverse groups of people that we have across the state between the topics that we can talk to and she weaves together the stories between keynotes between eight different breakout stages between smaller stages that come together and that's just part of the program the other real big part of the programs are exhibition at and a lot of the credit goes to our business development director Shannon Pesquisa who can work with three hundred or so companies and really place them around the arena in meaningful ways so that way partnerships can grow and people can get customers and people can grow their business and companies can get investment and and we've seen a lot of success stories up this up one of the things that we heard over and over this past year just anecdotally but then our survey really court correlated with this was generally a conference is the best networking takes place in the bar afterwards but yeah with us took place within the arena walls and our service at eighty three percent of people came for the networking and so we're thrilled work said to bring it back and not only bring it back to downtown Tampa but we're also working on our state outreach and we're doing our first event in Orlando in October synapse Orlando will be October eighteenth in downtown Orlando at the Cheyenne saloon in the church St ballroom we're very excited for a one day event it's going to actually correspond with an event called immerse Orlando which is a giant street festival that's all about the performing arts very experience shell which is something that we're very key on it is the hands on experience is the touch the feel it's something that we're focusing a big a lot on this year and it they really tie hand in hand together and the two events will he back on each other in very meaningful ways so now people can start to get connected across I for AT and will continue to grow that between Jacksonville Gainesville South Florida southwest Florida as we continue to grow with I was gonna be my next question and and and I'll I'll let you break into it as as you talk about the future of synapse here in just a minute but I I figured it's such a good idea you know Doug mention when he's in DC he knows exactly where to go in DC there's there's connections I mean there's certain bars in DC that I've been to that all the politicians go to and if you need to talk to somebody that you know where to go great point we don't have that but it's not just Tampa there's places all across the country they don't have that they could use that yep of so what we'll get into that before I cannot forget my good buddy Rick tell ceda our in house for tiger for Rick has been doing this for us for three years you guys can find him at Rick visuals dot com are icy K. visuals dot com he has done a photography for me personally he does every single radio show medevac Rick it and his lovely assistant Lucille get forget her they come every single show and sometimes they even introduce as matter of fact they introduced us to Brian today so I have to thank Rick for that as well if you guys need a good photographer very reasonable and the best pitchers in Tampa it's Rick visuals dot com so Brian it you are get expand this eventually but before before we go let's take a step back we have well off three minutes left in this segment tell me how did you get where did you come from how did this start yeah in the business yeah yeah story off to talk like the maker machine man I'm from here originally from Tampa day I I moved out to Los Angeles came back in two thousand nine a lunch my first company in twenty thirteen that's how Rick and I actually had met and it was growing but not to the level that I thought the twenty sixteen I started to do a little bit of research on why Tampa Bay was not growing as an innovation market and at the time I went to a talk by Jeff Finnick and just started talking about for the very first time really being a part of the innovation markets so I went up to him and I said had love to find a way to help you out give you some of my insights and he said great and somehow he decided it would be okay to take a meeting with me and I still thank him to this day for that because he in no way needed to to do that and I'm so appreciative there but that actually got me to really do research because I had to know what I was talking about before and so you may get it and it worked nicely and there's some fun things that I see him doing now that I'd like to think I contributed to some in the background about a month after that I went to a fourth of July party in over a couple of a cult tasty beverages add the barbecue I started talking to it a gentle man who was doing the same research is me from the investor perspective in his name is mark Blumenthal and we hit it off right away and said well let's work on this together and he was really going around the state as an investor wonder why it was so inefficient to find ten businesses to invest in over the course of the year I was thinking about it from the entrepreneur side at a and so things started to than really progressed rapidly in November of twenty sixteen the university of Tampa with Rebecca white Kauffman foundation put out a report about the innovation community an ecosystem and talked about how we have such great resources around the seven counties with so many entrepreneur support organization some of the best research universities in the country just nobody talks to each other it's just very disconnected right so it pose the problem and then we just need to come up with a solution and a lot of things that go into the solution one of the things being an article by E. Y. called the power five that talks about connecting all these great innovation community set and groups together these five commute five different types of people personas entrepreneurs investors educational institutions government corporations and then we built a framework that really also works to the support organization service providers and really the talent because we want talent from around the country to want to come here grow here stay here come back here like myself and really promote Tampa Bay is a great place to build and grow a business and from there once we decided to launch the web platform and watch the summit everything as they say is history you got I would be back in just a minute on.

"Tom Martino here three oh three seven one three talk a really good question I'm gonna buy a card to a user he lock or to use a conventional loan and here is really what it comes down to the cost of the money Ryan it's so easy and I love comparing math because math never lies that's why I love second opinions you know when people say I'll give you a second opinion well let's say someone said they're going to do something at X. amount of dollars I love when these other companies give second opinions because of they say no that's not a good deal then they have to beat it how well how how stupid would be to say no that's not a big deal but we can give you a better deal if you pay five thousand dollars more I mean so I love comparing numbers and he lock if you can get a he locked cheaper than you had a car loan it's a better deal here's where he locks are dangerous ready if you have a he lock you do not have a lien on the car here are the dangers you get tired the car you traded in her salad and you buy another car but you in essence have negative equity because that money that's in here he lock is still owed that's a danger there's also a danger of letting it go beyond what you normally would lead a normal long ago so if you get for your car loan is gonna be paid three years so it's not a good idea if you you know let that car loan go ten years even if you keep the car not a good idea so it's the cost of total money not just monthly payment the total money well how much every dime you'll pay to to get a loan including the down payment and every dime for the he lock including the origination fee if you compare them you'll find out but Ryan the danger of not having a lien on your car remember you're gonna get tempted if you see another car so I'll just do this I'll just get rid of this car and really you shouldn't so you should consider both purchase he lock and leasing leasing is good for those who can live by the terms of the lease it's the very worst thing you can do if you drive excessive miles or do an early termination it is worse than the worst purchase you could ever make so yeah do you have any money to put down yeah yeah how much and I'm thinking like I'm gonna put a price ten thousand down and then I'm looking and thinking a Toyota front tier not a Toyota Nissan frontier like a twenty fifteen twenty sixteen with that the pro four by four option why would you buy a new you I and I'm not suggesting you buy new I'm not suggesting to buy new I would only buy new under very circa a few really okay buying new is excellent if you don't pay too much and if you're going to keep it a long time buying new is not a good idea if you're going to keep trading a get negative equity it's all it's a good idea if you can pay cash and trade every now and then it they're all different what reasons you should buy new and then different reason should buy used if you can get a used car two years older that's when most appreciation is taking place and make a great deal and you can make a great deal man can you make out like a bandit by you know by beating depreciation I no no no I was thinking get one a couple years old well you could you you should compare mall you know get you know buying a used car in your situation is way different than the mom who called earlier who wanted to or the dad I mean who was talking about buying an old clunker first son I said it's the worst thing you can do because you're gonna end up spending more but if you're buying one a couple years old slightly used that's a great deal yeah that that's if you can do that that is a good idea but no I would not personally do he lock only because I don't like the way it feels also for the other category loaner car loan you'll get good karma for your credit report you get you get good credit for your mortgages but you don't get double the credit because you have a first and a second but you do get double the credit if you have a home loan and a car loan so it does help you in the long run to build your credit to have two different types of loans mark what's happening I'll be going what's going on with you Sir a big fan of the show been listening for a long thank you what I my car and I I have two sets of tires that I have one that some wheels and tires and then my other set is full so tired really so you go from all season to snows every year I do yeah wow well my snow tires Trent looks great everything you know I take real good care home however I was playing because they are ten years old that I should not put them back on my car even if their way to visually tell or somebody else I've been told that rubber get sold in after a certain amount of time they're not good but I don't know if it's true al I mean the age of rubber Jeff Finnick the age of rubber absolute do you think the time that it was stable when they produced in may that's on the side of the top okay why did they do that doesn't have a life limit yes it does how many years with his requires of them the DOT requirements of four digits can be the week it was made in the year was made for dinner but what is the termination because ten years it starts to Kay and the robbers ten years or so how old are your tires the tires are ten year that's how the hell did you keep tenure how do you keep the tires fritos he day lesson one could be switching now to is getting longer life out of well yeah but even that made ten years wow I know it sounds like a long time but I'm very picky about you know Colorado's how many miles on this well how many miles on this Omari get out the merry on those on those tires they're probably last guys let me ask you this if they were your tires you change about a fifth at up at ten you're good assets would you want your over to inspect so what you do you need to look at the side wall that's usually you'll see it starts cracking is so dry and cracking that's what you're gonna see if trunks to tread come out the garbage don't even go near but if they're not cracking at all right yeah I would you run him I would run him up slowly and he's the customer I know this guy and I've been you know not him personally but he puts his nose could goes up in the mountains he likes the good traction we have customers like that they really prefer to have good snows and it makes a big difference on the vehicle so album inspected that's what I would do exactly right have them inspected motors motors you already know eastern's automotive group has thousands of the highest quality vehicles to choose from you know every vehicle has been rigorously inspected and is backed by a seven day return policy but have you seen how eastern continues to step it up in our community.

"Here and what's going on? So from what I've seen. Everyone's here. I mean, so the greatest thing about having election that ends the way this election ended was it. Everyone seemed to be on the same team Republicans Democrats independents everybody wanted Jane to win the county commissions here state representatives are here both sides of the political spectrum. It's pretty amazing to be around in this room, the sheriff with Republicans he supported Jane, the entire constitutional officers are here. It's a great. It's a great day to be in Tampa. So this is mostly Tampa Bay area politicians and prominent business figures who are basically donors if you're in Hillsborough county, Florida, and you give a lick about what happens you're really that. Like a who's who got it? That's what we thought is. This is a who's who Dr McManus who's on earlier, and she was basically telling us the same thing. But you're you're on if donor to either the Republican or democratic candidates in this county, you're in the room tonight. The mayor of Tampa is the most popular and powerful figure in in our region, and especially in our county. That's why you're here. And what's interesting is, you know, hearing it from Dr mcmanus's one thing. And it's another thing mean, we're outsiders. We don't we don't actually know. Whoever you bring us. That's that's what we know. And that's get to me. But you know, what you're in it. You would consider your an inside. These are people that are at the fundraisers. These are people that are making it happen behind the scenes. These are people that are making the deals with Jeff finnick to build downtown the way, it is these are people that that that have significant influence in most every aspect of of the industry in the town. What happens, you know, during the dinner after dinner there deals going to be made? I think people are just celebrating the fact that we had a lady lion who who won by the largest margin in a really ridiculously contested race. I mean shockingly convincing win. And I think people are just so deg. I'm happy to be here. I don't know if it was shocking. Wasn't shocking. We knew it was going to happen. But listen, I had a conversation with someone who's very close to her without saying who was and we were betting that she wasn't going to get over seventy. She got over seventy percent. That's a convincing shocking, especially with the amount of money that was spent against her. So I think people are more here to celebrate the fact that we we've got a great mayor who's gonna come in after a great mayor, and we're going to see the community thrive. Now, I know you you don't agree with everything that you definitely ideologically with with Jiang Cassar on all these different things be surprised on some of on some of them. But how does that work? I mean, you're working for a lot of Republicans. You're working for somebody like, John Kerry? How does that work? I'm gonna lay it down this way. Jane, castor, mayor caster and her wife, Anna, crews, are my very dear personal friends. And if more people had the relationships that Jane, Anna, and I have they would not have the politics would not have the consternation individuals that it has their some of my best friends. I mean, fishing drinking dinner advice personal life professional life. These are good people, and I have found in my professional and personal life that if you meet good people, whether it's in politics or in business, you hold on to those people and you make them your friends. They're my friends. So even if you don't agree. Jobs will be wait. But, but that's interesting that you say that because I think national politics is like that too. When the lights go off, Matt gaetz friends with a lot of the people, right? Right. But but for the theater of it, you have to go on CNN and Fox News in this radio program and do that. And what's so funny is that you've got a lot of observers casual observers who were on Twitter and on Facebook in they're commenting, and they have no clue right? They don't understand how it really weren't. No. In fact, it's funny because we just got back from Tallahassee the sixty day session sixty day session. There was lots of fighting in the committee meetings in the in the in the session and the floor between the house and the Senate between the parties it inter-party all those people are drinking the last night. I went to the black caucus party and had the time of my life Danson with Simpson Valdez who's a democrat presented from Tampa. She condensed let me tell you. We had a great time. We're friends we may not agree, but you can still be cordial and be personal. But what about you you worked on some campaigns that have been pretty hard hitting? I mean does that does that change the game without telling me? I got invited to a poker game this session. And nobody told me who was at the game. And I walked in the room, and it was five Democrats out of the five Democrats. I worked against three not only worked against it was vicious. Yeah. I was shocked when I walked in the room they were shocked, but I walked in the room. I put my jacket down. And I said gentlemen, it's not personal. It was just business. And we had the best time that night, and sometimes it can get a little personal. But after it's all over you're saying that people can generally in politics, if Brian Gorman was on the ballot your family would think it was personal. It's just the nature of the beast. But for guys like me, my name's not on the ballot. I'm there execute a strategy. Right. Right. Right. I I look like I can be on the ballot tonight. You do you do. I'm not going to be on the ballot anytime soon. Anthony, I if I know you gotta run in there. You'll have some dinner drinks, you gotta mingle and all that. But maybe we'll have you back on towards the end and find out get some inside scoop on what's actually happening. You're going to be responding. There's going to be a lot of chicken dinner being evening. Clapping. But I don't think there's any any. No, no, no deals or drama tonight. Right. We're gonna be back with more live from the twenty nine hundred mayoral inaugural ball at armature works here on PM. "I would say the first few weeks of a new administration are kind of dole. It's a lot of bureaucratic paperwork. It's a lot of transition. We might see some staffing picks on. I wrote today that Ashley bounden who was communications director. Bob buckhorn has stayed on with Jane caster. So that's news on. But I I'm not sure that there's gonna be a whole whole lot of like in your face. Oh my gosh. Things happening from the mayor's office for the next couple of weeks. But it'll be interesting to see what she does with her on thirties working with heart on transit issues in terms of the people who go to this inaugural ball is going to be like a lot of insiders and political players from the area. I mean, who are we going to be meeting this thing? Yeah. I mean, it'll be it'll definitely be a who's who Champa politics on. I've I've never actually been to one. So I can't speak with firsthand certainty. But I think you can expect to see people who, you know, potentially big donors. I would be surprised if Jeff finnick or someone representing him was there, you're going to see, you know, the inner circle of Jayme caster campaign people on her staff members that she's bringing on board to city hall things like that it'll be it should be swanky affair really, which is why you need. To wear a suit, maybe even tuxedo. I wanna talk to that. Ryan. I'm not doing already got into this. I I didn't realize it was that fancy. And I didn't realize that a black tie affair doesn't mean you literally have to wear a black tie thought I decided to wear like a black tie. That's the case. I'm gonna just do you one further, and this is really gonna make you mad Ryan at black tie affair usually applies. I'm not doing it. There's no way I'm doing now. I'm not an insider, I'm not one of these people that hobnobs with the rich and famous of Tampa Bay get invited back. Revert back to my earlier and tell you to just bust out the tuxedo t shirt, that's that's much more along the lines of what I'm thinking. At this point. We're going to go how P Tampa Bay roles, and we're not this is not a tux show. Okay. This is a talk show blacklisted from all the fancy events. I've been dying to go to. It's going to be a scene tomorrow. That's for sure genera, win from Florida politics dot com. Gino, thank you so much. We appreciate it. Thanks, guys. Thanks for having tone up next. We'll talk about this Curic for drinks. And also a drink bits in the news, and it's creating a lot of controversy. So that's moments away here on PMT bluecross blueshield believes.

"What do you think that the first change will be if they do decide that they can't just take this team and tried all over again next year? That's that's the big question. We're gonna talk to the general manager tomorrow. They're having their exit interviews with the players tomorrow. I damn arena. I mean, I do think they have to make some kind of change. You cannot have this type of collapse and bring the exact same team back next year. Brandon point is his contract is up. But I I don't see any way that you let a forty goal scorers twenty two years old out of the building. They're going to have to re sign him. I don't I don't see them trade and stamkos or couture. Also. I don't know exactly how you you know, change the culture this team at this point. They've they've got some salary cap problems. They're going to have some their work cut out for him in the off season to figure out how to bring in somebody that at least makes his team feel different next year. Quickly before we let you go. What's the fan base saying because you know, as much as people wanna think of Tampa Bay is not a hockey town of been there when the Blackhawks were playing on me, and they're fired up. So we're we have about a minute left. What's their reaction to this? So far. It's been a lot of disbelief in the last forty eight hours as you can imagine that this team has really captured the attention of the public a lot of it has to do with the owner has has been very very good in this market. Jeff finnick, and and fans have really sort of jumped on board with all the regular season successfully pad even more so than than the Tampa Bay rays. So it, you know, I don't I don't know that there's people ready to, you know, call for Cooper's head just. Yeah. But. I mean, it there is a it's almost a stun kind of silence. At this point. You know, I'm I'm hearing from some people, you know, through emails that that Cooper has to be fired. But that's not going to happen. They're not going to do anything that drastic. So well, we'll know more tomorrow after after me with the team at Emily awesome staffs. Thanks so much for joining us, John. All right. Take care guys. Don Romano of the Tampa Bay times, you can read historian, which he called it all Chokhin mirrors. Excellent line line. Yeah. "Sharon win from the Tampa Bay times will join us for our weekend events segment. Also, the creator of the Florida man board game is gonna join us to talk about that. And we'll do an only in Florida segment two featuring this week's most idiotic Florida men and Florida women bay news nine sports anchor. Mike Cairns is going to join us to recap game. One and preview game two between the lightning and the Columbus blue jackets to Marin night. And that's where we start the Tampa Bay. Lightning lose game one four two three. It was all about me not being out there because we lost every game that I broadcast live in the playoffs last year. So I get iced out. No pre show added Emily arena. What happens? Well, I guess it's opposite this year. That means you have to be there. Every single what I'm saying. This is what I'm saying. Okay. Well, I know that there's no time for us to do is show on Friday. Before they made the schedule you can still come. You can so come in just just stand there. No. This is about broadcasting the show live. They already set the schedule. So it's not my fault. If the lightning blow the first round of the playoffs. Now my fault. You could just come. Maybe your presence on thunder alley is luck enough. It's all about Ryan. It is the is just working that way when it comes to the lightning and the playoffs in this show. It's just how it is. I guess so I gotta tell you. I turn on the game. By the time. I got home and caught some of the game. I turned it on it was already three nothing. So I'm just the first three goals because it happened that fat that was real quick. The first goal was a breakaway. It was outscoring. It looked just so easy. He just skated right up in tapped. It looked like the game was going to be no competition. Exactly. I thought I was thinking to myself when I saw to score like, wow. This is I mean, maybe there won't be a game five. Maybe we'll have a full show next Friday because they'll have already swept the Columbus. Blue jackets, who by the way, were wearing more red than blue explain to me how that makes any sense the Columbus blue jackets in there and read this is dumb team seriously where blue Winward the lightning home mainly where they could wear. They're mainly in white and the away teams in white. And then you weren't blue on the pants like a little stripe of blue. Then you'd be wearing red to the Columbus, blue jackets. I just don't get it. I think it's a dumb name. I think it's a stupid Colleen team. Scheme. Everything about them was bad except for their play last night. Because then all of a sudden they slowly start inching their way back in. And when it was three to two I'm like, it's not going to blow this at home. So I wasn't even concerned then it was three three. And and when it got to three three sometimes in sports, you'll see this where it's like, quicksand, the tea and just can't get themselves out of a funk, and that's exactly what happened to the lightning last night. And sure enough they blew game one at home. So you were there Morgan I did see there was a video. I think you posted some video was it on Instagram where it was like a shot of you dancing. Yeah. Probably you were in the black urine black. Yes, we were blackout. You look very excited to that point. I don't know what part of the game that was that was at the end of the. I am a cheerleader. It isn't my job to boost them wral. So even when the lightning have blown a three goal lead in game one with all that excitement built up in the city and everybody's ready for the playoffs and the roads of the cop and all that stuff. I am still some Meiling and shaking my bombo. That's tough kid crowd energize. I'm not a fair weather fan. I'm there for the long haul. What was the mood like at the beginning of the night last night. It couldn't have been more electric, right? Oh my God. It was unreal. I mean playoffs. They're so different than regular seasons from the pre-game show to the on ice spectacles that they have going on. And let a lot of times being in Tampa. It's like half and half. At some of the games like you'll have half Bruins fans. Half lightning literally every single seat for the most part was a lightning fan. Right. It was failed. There is not an empty, and it was so loud. They they did. There giveaway of the night was a noise maker on everyone seat, and literally every single person was sold lambing. They're noise you probably didn't even need. It was going to be loud regardless regardl-, regardless. But it was insane. How loud it was awesome? Especially during the first period when we were up three. Oh, I don't know what it's like other cities. So I don't know if in Columbus. When we go there for games three and four if that city is going to get behind their team. Maybe they feel the same way. I do. It's a dumb named for a team and they just want nothing to do with the Columbus blue jackets in their playoff run. But but Tampa certainly gets behind the lightning in such a huge way. There was so much buildup to game one. And I know I made a comment passing. I can't remember what it was two days ago where I thought if they lost maybe one game in the first round and either give us an extra day off next week on Friday would never show. I have a long weekend. I didn't want it to be one at home. I know it was. Was a disappointing start to the round. But we'll Friday. What was the feeling like is things? Started to go wrong within the arena. Quickly. Like it was all in the third period. Just all kind of unraveled. And so everyone was literally just in shock and there really were only a couple blue jackets fans in the stands. So it was like a one person in each section standing up tearing the rest of the lightning rounds were kinda shot. Literally looking around at each other. Like, what is happening? Was it quiet to to get really really quiet pin drop. Oh much. More quiet. Kind of crazy. Did you have anybody any fan sitting in the stands who looked at you and said just stop stop? Stop celebrates shaking dancing. We're losing this game. Please. Same. They keep the morale up the lake is much different. Yes. Places. You would leave before the period ends in the third period. If you're down, it doesn't look like you're coming back, and they pull the goalie a lot of times that some people are like all right games over we're going, but no everybody stays on their seat until the last second of the third period. And I'll say this for Tampa fans. And again, I I was born here in Tampa. But my whole family's from New York. So I was raised to be a New York fan. That's why like the New York teams. There is such a difference going to Tampa games. Whether it's the buffs the raise lightning, whatever and going to New York games because I can guarantee you the Rangers. If that were the Rangers would have been booed off the ice three goal lead in game. One we paid all this money to come to Madison Square Garden a lot you and you're screwed up the top of our lungs. It's not limit for the most part. Everybody's like it's. Fine. It happens. We'll look exactly I don't think the lightning are losing this series. I think it was a little bit of a speed bump there. I think Todarello probably had his team really fired up and ready to go. I think that played a role. I think the lightning come out. And I think aim to they win big. And I think they roll maybe maybe a six game series now that they lost game one. I still think probably more like a five game series. We'll see help. But I if I were the lightning understand, I would definitely rethink the whole not having PM Tampa Bay live at Emily arena for the home games after that. That is their primary concern. Right. So what are we going to do to get out here James if can get Jeff finnick on the line for me, please Dan's Veton, call Jeff and just let me talk to him off the air real quick. And we can get things set I'm going forward. So we don't mess up this whole road to the Cup. But like came out with something very interesting. And when I saw this this happened before the game yesterday. I did think to myself for a split second. Let's not get ahead of ourselves here. Because again, very honest on this show is to write a fan of a big fan of the Rangers. They won the President's Cup a couple years ago. A lot of the players on that Rangers team playing on the lightning. Now, they did not win a Stanley Cup. They those guys never won a Stanley Cup in New York. Very disappointing. Great teams never won. It's not to save the lightning are the same. Not save the lightning historic.

"But I do think there's some sense that it's not just as Jeff finnick steep. Greg's it's everybody to help build what what's here right now. Everybody feels like there's unfinished business they want to complete it to just fulfil everybody. It was gutting last year we were actually in this very spot for game seven of the capital's lightning say that now I mean, we could have been responsible for what happened. We hockey hockey players traditionally superstitious, but I don't think we had much to do with it. But that was as as soul crushing loss can be knowing that the season where you on the brink of going to the finals, all of a sudden is over do you? Now, I'm sure for you. It's even worse because there's not as much to write in the off season. But as a fan as a really walk out of here, just kicking rocks. Yeah. It's the flavor that game. It was like was second minute of the game. Now skinhead that saw from the top left, circle it goes in and its you kind of expect to save it. And he's got a feeling maybe it's not going to be our nights night. The worst part about that is the next morning having to come in. And they do exit interviews with the guy. So you gotta talk to Cooper you. Gotta talk to all the superstars and just listed a talk about you know, how they came up short. And that was that was pretty demoralizing to have to go through that. So soon after losing that game. And then once they were gone once they do those exit interviews, that's it. They're going for the. Summer. So with the magic we had to thank you fans of every year when they're outed from the playoffs, you'd have to all every ticket sales marketing, everybody go to city hall, and we'd all have these side said thank you fans, and I will tell you. We didn't win it. They've never wanna championship. And that is the worst day you clock in and you're standing there. Sad handing out doughnuts in your season as the but you celebrate a good season. This year though championship or buses seems to be you hate to say that as a sports fan, but it's championship or bus this year. And there's just no getting around that. I think. Yeah. I.
