"Jeff Dickerson, We heard a few names of teams being thrown out there by Cheramie Fowler. You got the 40 Niners, The Titans, the Rams, the Patriots the Ravens. Let's get irresponsible here if you had to pick one team that Julio Jones ends up with To start the NFL season. Where would you put your money? Boy? I don't know. I like a lot of those teams that Jeremy mentioned. I mean, I mean, if your Baltimore it would certainly make sense Greg to get involved given their situation. At wide receiver again. I don't know Atlanta's willingness to trade him within the conference. I'll tell you what, though. San Francisco is going to be a fascinating story this year, because usually when a team drafts a young quarterback like Trey lands, and and they know, they shocked everyone, they take that guy that usually signals there in a little bit of a rebuild mode, But they're not acting that way with Jimmy Garoppolo ins and shit for Jimmy Garoppolo sake. He's in the best possible situation because he's making a lot of money. This year. He has a chance to kind of rehabilitate his career show teams. He can stay healthy play well, and, you know, Greg, that Lance is not gonna be ready to play for a long, long time. I like the idea of the 40. Niners really going for it this year, like one last hurrah with Jimmy G. Now there's a team where you can add a Julio Jones to a pretty decent infrastructure with the head coach That certainly knows offense and has a great play caller, and that could kind of really push them in a very competitive NFC West. So I like the teams that Jeremy has mentioned again. I think Baltimore makes a lot of sense. Think Tennessee makes a lot of sense. I just wonder again. What Atlanta, you know, send him to an NFC team. But I guess at the end of the day, as you said, I mean, they've got to take the best offer, but I would I would to Jeremy's 0.1 more thing. Yes, I do think Atlanta's gonna have to kick in some money, if possible here because I don't. I don't have the money right now. They've got to find a way because that's just a lot of first round pick that guaranteed salary. That cap number. That's a lot to get back for 32, year old wide receiver. Yeah. You mention the 40 Niners and their focus on winning now, but also preparing for the future. And obviously, you know, John Lynch and Kyle Shanahan have done a fantastic job. Just acquiring talent and the You know how scary it would be to have Depot Samuel and brain and I, you can. Then you throw in Julio Jones and George Kittel and you know, and you've got a couple of good quarterbacks there. They're trying to do it both ways. On the flip side, though, if if the Falcons end up getting rid of Julio Jones, Jeff like, what the heck are they doing? Because you keep Matt Ryan you draft Kyle pits, which feels like you're trying to win now and still, you know, squeeze out whatever is left of a former M V. P quarterback and Matt Ryan what's left of his career. But then you're moving your number one target the guy who was sort of been synonymous with your franchise here. For most of the past decade, and you're moving him for a pick, which makes it seem like your you know, planning for the future. Are the Falcons just finding themselves in this sort of in between right now in the NFL, which is never a spot that you wanna be? I think they're just just in salary cap. Hell, Greg. Honestly, I think that's where they're at right now. And I think that's what happens Sometimes when you pay a lot of players, and you don't end up winning a championship that always comes back to bite you. They got so close to winning that championship in the Super Bowl, but we all know what happened to them. Uh, if you're Arthur Smith, you're taking over as the head coach. Hey, Arthur. Welcome to Atlanta. We're going to trade Julio Jones. I guarantee you That's not what he wants, but financially looking at their financials. I don't know. Any other way around it. I mean, they're in such bad shape. It doesn't send a great message that we're going for one more run here in that, Ryan. When you're trading away, Julio Jones. It certainly does not. No. If your fan you want your plan to your team to have a plan, and right now, it seems like the Falcons are very reactive and not very proactive. Coming up is a curtains for the New York Knicks today. That's next. You're listening the best week ever out, ESPN radio and the ESPN app. Julio Jones went to Falcon's management back in March and asked for a trade. You can't start the season with Julio Jones on your roster as things currently staying well, Jones himself wants out. Perhaps what is the number one after buy and sell sports best. Just last month, Derek from Evanston made $800 cash just from buying and selling bets on props, watch basketball, baseball or even hockey by a bet on props. We'll hold it for a few weeks and sell it for profit..

Bears announce coach Matt Nagy, GM Ryan Pace will return after 'impressive' finish to 2020

"Apparently matt nagy is going to make it to next year. The bears are gonna keep him the head coach. The general manager ryan pays. Who may have been more maligned than nagy. Decline the fifth year option trubisky. But it's still an option to bring him back in some way our jeff dickerson who covers the bears is essentially reporting. Nagy and pace will be back. Our dan orlovsky is voicing his opposition. What has matt nagy done as for his a an organizer as far as a leader as far as a person with foresight within their organization to say yes in that head coaching role. We love them. Now we're going to allocate some of the play calling responsibilities or the offensive viewpoint. Who are we going to give that to. And what has matt nagy done within. That building approve on great in this role. I understand what dan is coming from. But i think in this situation. He has a winning record. Chuck pagano is retiring as a defense coordinator so he's got to his staff and his thought process in his thinking. Maybe there's a guy or two out there that is really good at calling. Plays really good at putting a system in place to make. Whoever the quarterback is going to be in the future for them successful. So i'm okay with them taking a look see. They just went to the playoffs. So you take a look in just poo. poo it. because you've got to restart things all over again when you completely blow everything up so give it a shot in twenty twenty one see where it's at. He's going to be before you make that decision and that move now mr bisky mitch. Trubisky is jockeying for position to come back and be the chicago. Bears starting quarterback again. Now maybe there's a small deal there because they didn't pick up the fifth year option. There's a small little deal. Maybe there's a two year deal. That is a proven deal that he can now show with a new office coordinator his abilities that he showed in north carolina and made them take him as a number two pick overall.

"He's Jeff Dickerson. We do not cover He's in undefeated Pittsburgh Steelers team or a very good Baltimore Ravens team. We cover the NFC North. So it's really nice for us sometimes to step outside of our NFC North bubble. Jeff covers the Bears. I cover the Vikings. And be able to talk about put consistently good football and both of these teams. I know some people are you here with the Baltimore Ravens and the offense of skin that they've had this year, but they're still a team that's six and four. Jeffs Bears or five and five, the Vikings or foreign six on day. It's kind of a whole bunch of free fall that we cover, so I'm excited. Talk about the Steelers Raymond's game. I don't know about you. Well, the Bears or 55. It feels like to win eight. So, yes, I mean, I am. I am looking forward to this game. If the game in fact is played on Thursday, Quartey because There have been some bad developments in Baltimore. The last 24 hours. Yes, so obviously, we know that they're several covert 19 cases that air going rampant through the facility in Owings Mills, Maryland On Tuesday, the Ravens canceled practice after learning that they had more positive cases coming from the round of test on Tuesday morning. On now. They have five players in four staffers positive this week, and this is obviously coming on a short week after losing to the Tennessee Titans in week 11 so that game in question Where do things stand? Here's ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter. The game is teetering a little bit, because if there are more positive tests out of Baltimore, I'm told that there would be A chance that this game could be postponed right now. Police says the game is in place. Not going to change Steelers Ravens Thanksgiving I, but let's keep in mind here. Over this week, The Ravens have had five players test positive. They've had four staffers test positive If there are more positive tests, the leaders that have a difficult decision here to make, But at this current time, the Ravens will be without their running backs. JK Dobbins and Mark Ingram. They will not have trace McSorley. It looks like they will not have Pernell McPhee. And so there are major questions here and the Ravens of that everything they could to prevent the spread the virus. But as we've seen across the country, the virus has a mind of its own. Yeah, absolutely. And I don't know. Maybe it's a skeptic and me and realizing that you know every Sunday Jeff when it leaks out that from lead to NFL insiders across the across, you know, the media spectrum that no positive cases today all the tests came back. Clean. Um We've gotten to that point, but this kind of feels like we're teetering on the edge here, just given you know the number of positive cases that the Ravens had. This is a short week. The Thursday slate on Thanksgiving Day is their marquee matchup for Theo. NFL world, but As of right now, things are all on schedule. So as we look at this team, both teams a brave in team that many you're saying is broken offensively. Lamar Jackson doesn't have enough pieces around him. He himself might be broken or not playing the same football very clearly not playing the same football that he played during his M V P season. Will they have enough to Dethrone this Pittsburgh Steelers team in route are of a goal of an undefeated season. I don't know I'm kind of on the fence here. I feel like this Ravens team. I still can't figure out what's wrong. What Greg Roman is doing necessarily differently this year outside of the fact that Lamar Jackson is just not The same type of player that he Woz in 2019. I mean, Lamar was the legal MVP last year. I feel that the problems Have been a little deeper than that. Like, if you're gonna ask me am I gonna bet that my young reigning league MVP confined away toe? Pick it up here in the final six weeks. My answer would be absolutely yes, Here's what I saw. Against Tennessee last week. How many times have you seen over the years? Corny? Have you said Wow? The Ravens just got pushed around. Wow. The Ravens just got outworked. They got outmuscled. They got out physical by a team and that's what happened Multiple times. A J. Brown Dragon four guys into the end zone for a touchdown Derrick Henry with the game winner and overtime running through that Ravens defense, just knocking them away to win the game. So I actually think I know the covert situation is very concerning in the Adam Schefter is spot on. If there are more positive test, you can't play this game, even though it's the crown jewel of our Thanksgiving football watching. I don't wanna watch the lines of the Cowboys. I wanna watch the Ravens of the stewards at night. But If it is played, I believe That John Harbaugh saw the same things that I saw, and I'm telling you I bet the message was delivered this week. You guys better get back to playing physical football it you've been playing since I got here. I think the Ravens have a good shot. So I actually would tend to always go with the Steelers because they're playing such magnificent football this year with Roethlisberger and Claypool and all these guys and their 10 and Oh, but I really think the Ravens were embarrassed last week, and I think horrible's a good enough coach where he's back and let that stand and they're going to come out and they're gonna give the Steelers everything they could handle Thursday night. If that game does get played. And so much has been made of the difficulties that the rates have on offense this year, right? The fact that they had to use their financial resource is in free agency on the defensive side of the ball. And even you know, in the draft, you know, using a first round pick on Patrick Queen, the middle linebacker, But before that trading for class Campbell, they traded for unique and Doc Way after the Vikings cut bait on and six weeks into the season, they don't have that number one receiver. For Lamar Jackson. And you've got to wonder at this point to given everything that's gone wrong. Seemingly for Lamar Jackson and really, you know, the last couple of meetings to I mean, he's you know against the you know is you've got Titans, and then they have the Steelers and in five days span on bees had a lot of turnovers like I wonder like, Where is the fixed there? I mean, is it something that has to come through this offense? Or is it relying upon this defense? Because the Steelers last I checked out a lot of playmakers and guys that are playing really, really good football right now. I mean the fact that Ben Roethlisberger Statistically speaking, is having one of his best seasons to date, you know, second highest completion percentages ever had 24 touchdowns and just 10 games in the highest before that he's ever had 34 throughout a season. He's on pace to break that, and I think that You know the way that the Steelers team is playing with everything with chip from, you know, juice, Miss shoes during and Chase Claypool and obviously the quarterback, But even the coaching too. It feels like this is a freight train that just too difficult Stop. You know, I think what's happening with Lamar is what most people expected. What happened? He was sensational last year, but Courtney, you knew that defense is we're going to adjust the way they played him and force him to do things that he was uncomfortable doing Now it's On Lamar Jackson. To make the adjustment back..

NFL Power Rankings: Projected wins and playoff chances for top 6 picks

"So ESPN dot com today. They put out the twenty nineteen NFL power rankings. They project the wind totals and the playoff chances for each team in the NFL. They used ESPN's football power index. It's the FBI you see it all the time on sportscenter during the NFL and college football season F B I. So they go through and they project the amount of wins. And then they say the purchase the chances of percentage that you make the playoffs. Who do you think is the number one team in the national? Football league for projected wins and their chances to make the playoffs for this season. Well, Chris I'm not gonna lie the audience. I'm looking right at it. And it is the Kansas City Chiefs, you could just play along. They don't know looking at I don't act like you're smart truthful with our listeners Kansas City Chiefs, number one. I don't do bits FBI projects their win total the ten point three which I believe is under their win. Total in Vegas. I believe their windows at ten and a half. So they win ten point three games. That means you go under. Yeah. I mean, it's pretty close. So it's dead. It's dead on. It's kind of a you just say they win ten games. I would think but yeah, I think that they and the chiefs chances to make the playoffs at eighty percent per ESPN dot com. FBI who's number two number two the New Orleans Saints and the saints are projected to win ten point ten games. Seventy six point nine percent chance to make the playoffs. According to. FBI number three on the list. The Los Angeles Rams at ten point one wins tied with the saints. And they are for chances to make the playoffs. Seventy six point four for the Los Angeles Rams number four seed, they're not just going by the projected win total because number four they have the New England Patriots. And they have actually the highest projected win total at ten and a half they do. But who's number four in their power rankings? The New England Patriots. Go five. That's what I'm saying. They're not making them by. Wins giving them the powerful power. I index they're saying these are how are rankings are because the doing the patriots. They have rate fourth. But by the football power index. They have the highest amount of wins in Vegas, though. The the patriots are set at eleven wins because everybody's betting that over who's number five. That would be the Indianapolis Colts the young upstart Indianapolis Colts whose whose quarterback who's this young new quarterback. I had everything was like hold up. We we haven't gotten to the Chicago Bears. We're talking colts. Okay. So F FBI is saying nine point two wins for the colts. Yeah. Fifty seven point nine percent chance to make the playoffs. Indeed. And coming in at number six. This is your bears fans not the Chicago Bears. But they have less projected wins than the Chicago Bears. They have a lower chance to make the playoffs. Then the Chicago Bears, and those would be the hoity toity, Los Angeles chargers and with their west coast, avocado toast, what I don't know. Point eight wins. Forty nine point seven percent chance to make the playoffs. So they have in the power rankings. Chargers ahead of the Chicago Bears because the bears are seventh. Yes. Projected by FBI the projected win total and be nine point one which would be under the nine and a half and the chance to make the playoffs at fifty five point six percent. Yes. And they have listed where the team improved. It says obviously Jeff Dickerson wrote this bears reporter for ESPN dot com. He wrote running back, obviously, they improved at running back by signing. Mike Davis grafting, David Montgomery, more touches for Trico and get him more involved in the offense getting rid of Jordan Howard trading him to the eagles. He says that the most of the TV improved the most at the running back position. They basically revamped that entire running back room by getting rid of a lot of guys. I think take one as L. My also be a camp casualty? We'll see how their other running

"Real wedding for Jeff Dickerson. He covers his ACOG. Oh bears for ESPN. Just ahead of the match up of the forty Niners for week sixteen anyway, kmby ours, number two and a half in your thoughts on the matchup this weekend. We're talking to Matt maiocco. It's going to be the biggest test of Nick bones career so far against this defense that Vic Fangio's taken from thirtieth a couple of years ago now to third in the league, you just wonder with that division title. I mean, it just looks. They haven't won the NFC north since two thousand ten they wanted this year the bears. Do it it just looks like to me that they are a team has got the chemistry going and they're having fun playing football. They're having a blast when Jeff Haapsalo this. I am going to ask him later on about the club dub about how they just they they just get after it after victories. And I think that creates such a cohesion. I don't think a lot of teams have that. That's that type of style. I mean, I could I absolutely could possibly be wrong. But for for what I've seen with this team and how they interact with each other. Just they're having a blast going out there and just playing ball. Yeah. And that's helping out win, you know, helping them to win. So a big thing though for Nick molds this weekend. Yeah. Eddie Jackson and Aaron Lynch are both doubtful for the game. And that those are two big pieces to them. We we get it with the team Hickson and cluele Mack. How great they are. They're great. But adding a guy like Aaron Lynch to that, you know, that rush and not to have them. That's a that's a huge deal. I agree with that especially because we've been hearing we were talking about it. The play action pass Molins the kid that has been so advantageous for the forty Niners and the bears that are really good job of stopping back couple of weeks ago when they're playing the Rams they did really good job of limiting the play action pass with golf and our lay. But with Eddie Jackson, how you talked about the same six picks. Yeah. I mean Jackson a huge part of that secondary downs for the for the Chicago Bears. I just wonder if Dion Bush is going to be able to match up Eddie Jackson style, and his his aggression is his attend city. I don't think that's going to happen. It could be a whole that the forty Niners can expose on Sunday. But all in all be honest with you. I think the bears do win this game. But I don't think the forty Niners play. Awful. I really don't know. I mean, that's I I would agree. I think they're playing confident. And that's a good thing to have. The more you play with coffee is better you play. And I think the the biggest thing is you're facing an offense. I think that I could easily say he's not as good as Seattle's offense. Right. As far as the just pounded down your throat direct. Jordan Howard, hasn't really done much three is going to be the problem. I think trying to stop him trying to figure out a way to slow him down. That to me is the biggest question who's going to do that? It's fast. Yeah. He is passing when he gets out and open field. I mean, it's lights out. Forget about it. I don't know that's gonna be assignment football on him. They gotta make sure that they always have him. Allen Robinson is played better of late. I mean, you could see him getting healthier and healthier off that knee surgery last year, and you know, again, Mitchell Trubisky he is a he might not be dynamic throwing the ball. But he has a good arm. He'll he'll hit his spots. He has good accuracy at at times. But he is dangerous with his legs. And that that's the one where you wonder where they are. They able to corral him like they did Russell Wilson. The thing about don't you? Don't you feel that your Bisky is he's inconsistent? There's been flashes of Mitchell this year that it's been it's been crazy. We'll go back to that Packers game. What do you like to over two hundred and twenty five yards? He didn't throw throw a turnover. You had a couple of touchdowns in that game. And that's his solid soul. The performance from Mitchell Trubisky. But I don't think we get that every single week from now, and I don't know if you agree with this. 'cause there's some some things you could feel like, okay, if they stay they hover around they could you know, they could make a late late run. I feel like against the bears you need you need to smack them in the mouth early. You need to get on top. And I'm not talking about like, you ought to be up twenty one points. But I think Dan playing in front the Niners against the bears is beneficial to them instead of them having to try to make up for it later on in the game. Yeah, I'm with you that and, you know, head coach Matt Nagy said he's not gonna rest starters. Even though they've got the division locked up. He's not rest in anybody. So the forty Niners gonna be because they still have a chance. I still have a chance to get, you know, more go. Absolutely. They do. I mean, I was reading it's today. Some of the scenarios that happens because there's so many there's so many different scenarios that are happening for weeks sixteen and seventeen the next couple of weeks in the NFL, but the bears to get the number two seed they've got the same record as the Rams or that went out. And the Rams lose one game mean that's how that's how the Chicago Bears. Even though the division chance can get the the the number two seats. So. Yeah, there absolutely still fighting for something. The Rams are playing the cardinals this week. And then guy who they haven't we seventeen. Let me check have the forty Niners. Last game with the cardinals Niners last game of the year at Levi's guiding it, it's I think it's actually gonna come down to it. What if the Rams get bounced out in the first round that can happen again last year? Yeah. But I mean, you know, we were talking so much all year long about this team eleven three we weren't talking about their death. No. We didn't we talk. We were talking so much about how many pro bowlers how many how many playmakers they have both offensively and defensively. True as their starters true, but their death. We we've really seen it being, you know, come to come to the forefront in. It's not good. It's not great. What's it's good? It's not great in for some of these teams. Like what we talk about in in. Chris Collins works with talking about it this last weekend. That's why Bill Belichick builds teams with depth more than star power because later on in the season the playoffs you're going to be playing with those guys and you need better players in that second third string because of that because they could take hits they can take their lumps and not really miss a beat. I just love this time of year. I just love this time of year in the NFL. I really would like the Rams the full, you know, it's so interesting. We look at some of the top teams. I mean, we're just talking about the Rams I mean going over to the AFC and how jumbled up that is going to repeat myself here when I say this in the regular season. I thought that it just seemed to be the AFC was top heavy in the NFC was a disaster. And we kind of knew who in the AFC was going to be what I didn't see the the patriots have an off year. I do think that they are having an off year. But I mean when it comes to the postseason, I think the craziest matchups are going to be are going to be the AFC. And how everything is the NFC was so interesting as well. But I think we know exactly who's gonna be rolling in that conference, but the AFC playoff matches. I think are insane. Now, the only two teams in commerce that are in at this moment or the chiefs chargers they everything else is up in the air. You got the Texans. The patriots. Obviously, we talked about them possibly missing a first round. Bye. For the first time in nine years. They gotta have some. Things going. They got to get a win or a Miami loss. And the dolphins are playing Jacksonville at the house at Miami. This week is I don't see that happening week sixteen. The Steelers such an interesting story as well. The ravens though, the ravens are a team that are fascinating to me because the way Lamar Jackson has been playing with and especially since they want they they win the raiders ever since they beat the raiders, I have just seen this incredible. They have ignited the ravens have. And I think they're really have saved Harbaugh's job. Now, if they if they want to win the AFC north they're going to have a better record than the Steelers. So they gotta win out the Pittsburgh Steelers have to lose one game. And you know, because we talked about it. The Steelers have a very tough match of this week in New Orleans against the saints. A when we talk about the the play recollection of of Sean McVay. Yes. And when you said it you're like what if they got bounced out in the first round. I was thinking my excuse me, Sean, I was wondering if you could recall, your playoff games, head coach at home, and and how they gone probably taking forever series would say, hey. Hey, now, that's brilliant. You can remember the two teams you lost in the backpack years that that my friends is brilliant. It. Absolutely is absolutely is. Because what what they talk about with him is. So it it baffles me, man. Recall, everything it's like ask any coach. They could do the same thing guaranteed. Why is it that we make a big deal about that? Because I remember I remember what is it? Lebron James was earlier earlier this year where he was recalling a play that happened. I think it was last year last year the places last year in the playoffs. But didn't he just happened? And he was on the podium just happened. They're like, oh my God. I can't believe his recollection. Like, look what he what was more impressive. Is him. Having recollection of everything that is son did in that little talk that you I you saw two on on Twitter or Instagram is a little talk with his son after a game where he wasn't scoring but he was making three plays. And all that stuff. I was like that's more impressive because you're not locked in. You're not as locked in on on a game. You know that you're not active in right? Yes. For me. I'm I'm going that was more impressive because as a player, dude. I can tell you about pretty much. You can ask me about an a bat in like August of two thousand seven I'll tell you exactly what happened. And you know, what people though, it's not as good as LeBron doing it. Like, I mean, it was it was pretty impressive yesterday. I'll say this is pretty impressive. How you walked us through the entire Dominic ground situation the Lehigh valley. I mean you from start to finish your mind remembering what happened with Erik Kratz getting paid. We're happy Gerard bad. Dominic brenda's? I mean reading anything remembered it, I'm exactly like pretty much ninety percent of the athletes. We were called os things. There's a reason why you know, there's a difference between a minor leager in big later in one is opportunity number two is making being able to adjust and have those like to be able to recall things in go back to certain things. That's a little different. I really believe that. I think that goes for about eighty five ninety percent of most big leaders. You can ask them. And and guys will be giving you like you can ask Jason worth. And everyone thinks that O J worth. He really didn't care new care. He could tell you about an a bat in two thousand four is you know, with the dodgers that he had in his rookie season in September. And again that didn't matter you're going. That's impressive. This is the mind. But that's just the mind about the athletes that can't recall anything. That's the guy. I want to talk to you. Remember happened that last play. Nope. Nope. No. I do not at all. Simply. That's the I think actually more of a talent to and that's not as a joke. I just think it's amazing talent to be able to forget just move on and move on. And whether or not it's it's about smarts about being Dahmer or you just literally have the ability just to forget that is an impressive trait. I hear you. All right coming up next. We're gonna talk to Jack Ritchie. Get some of the odds. Betting lines for week sixteen. I wanna thank Jeff Dickerson from ESPN for half an hour. This very nice conversation that we have with God almighty, it's a huge matchup this weekend. It's all good eight away Kaby Arsenault. We'll get the Jack Ritchie coming up next to offer.
