"Kellogg from green which to web traffic update from ninety eight seven and thirteen thirty K. and SS I'm Jeff chambers and now the key is in storm tracker three forecast with Kansas today meteorologist Ron L. Williams give only run L. a good morning Steve new day new week you know we doing do day to week little wind borne out there right yeah that's been the case I'm I know through just about the entire weekend of course last night too but see that's the main mechanism that's making it feel pretty muggy out there anybody that's listening and hasn't stepped outside yet be ready for the air that you can literally where it's it's pretty humid out there to start the day also keeping our temperatures warm and then those winds they're gonna pick up a little bit more after the sun continues to rise and we we just got another steamy windy day ahead so we'll have a high of ninety four today under partly cloudy skies there is a ten percent chance of a shower storm in the forecast that's mainly for later on this afternoon and during the evening hours so far though it that chance does look pretty slim we've got a better shot at staying dry dry skies tonight under partly cloudy skies seventy six for a low another warm morning by the time we wake up about twenty four hours from now with south winds they're still gonna be on the breezy side even while we sleep partly cloudy skies for our Tuesday though and it's going to get hotter before it gets any cooler so we'll go from ninety four today up to one hundred for our Tuesday south winds still gusty out there at fifteen to twenty five and with these hot these hot temperatures got to make sure that we're continuing to stay hydrated staying safe staying cool out there checking the backseat for kiddos not forgetting about our furry friends either once we get in Wednesday Thursday the heat not going anywhere ninety seven both of those days and over the upcoming holiday weekend it does look like things should stay dry I don't see any fireworks displays being impacted by any rain or storms but it's still gonna be pretty warm out there with those highs in the nineties under partly cloudy skies right now we're at seventy seven degrees we do have an overcast sky also got some of that so here in dust in our atmosphere not gonna be as noticeable or as hazy as yesterday but anybody with any kind of respiratory issues if you have to work outside of for leisure time just make sure that we're limiting that time outside winds right now it out of the south at twenty miles an hour we've got that temperature seventy seven with the dew point of seventy degrees so it does feel pretty sticky out there so my sister in law who lives on an island in the Indian grace and while she was telling my wife over the weekend it when that dust came up out of the Africa like another.

"But since the stay at home order those volumes have been fairly light traffic updates ninety eight seven and thirteen thirty K. and as **** I'm Jeff chambers let's take a look at that weather forecast as we head into the weekend much cooler today gusty wind out of the north high of fifty one degrees we will be under clearing skies clear and cold tonight with a low down to the freezing mark of thirty two me warmer on the weekend on Saturday tomorrow sunny and breezy high sixty three on Sunday it'll be mostly cloudy but warmer high sixty eight early in Wichita will wind from the north gusting up to twenty five miles per hour cloudy skies thirty five degrees with a wind chill at twenty four on our way to high today fifty one weather forecast Hey are you considering implementing a work at home policy will box links can help your business make a smooth transition toward the remote office environment and to save you thirty five percent or more on your monthly bill that's good news call eight four four vox link that's eight four four eight six nine five four six five vox link six fifty we Stephen Ted here on K. and SS and let's see how the stock market fared yesterday despite another string of bad economic data stocks ended in the green the Dow rose thirty three points the nasdaq surged by one hundred thirty nine and the S. and P. five hundred gained sixteen points another five and a quarter million Americans filed for jobless benefits last week bringing the total over the past month to twenty two million Americans out of work the worry is that will push the unemployment rate to the highest since the Great Depression and the lingering question is how many of these workers will be re hired when the economy reopens it wasn't all bad news though consumer healthcare and technology stocks including Amazon and Netflix and Microsoft led the way Netflix and Amazon hitting new record highs they've been popular stay at home stocks in New York I'm Laurin seminary fox news losing a corporate job let's see what our money tracker don grant CFP has to say about that.

"That at meridian a grant and Hayes filtering update from ninety eight seven at thirteen thirty K. and as fast I'm Jeff chambers all right let's check be a kiss and storm tracker three forecast now with Kansas today meteorologist Ron L. Williams W. I. L. a good morning Steve we're just chugging along happy ones that happy Wednesday amid weak it's tax day if you got your taxes done actually they postponed it for a while yeah I know I know they did and I yeah I don't I don't play around with the government's money I I I go and do my taxes as soon as we're able to get it done and that is like you don't even have to worry about it you know especially if there's an issue that may slow you down so I'm I'm good I am good I usually file the following year on April sixteenth so the good and start there yeah that's not too bad okay you got me beat maybe about a little bit all right it's about the weather yeah of course I got a lot going on I feel like we've been spoiled not so much with the temperatures mainly with the sun rises out there because another one right now is you know as we speak in progress currently so why anybody that's about to head out the door go head and snap a quick picture that and then go ahead and hop in your car and warm back up after that because we're off to another cold start this morning but will actually be able to warm up nicely so despite the colder start back up to sixty four degrees today still a little bit below average but a lot closer to normal than where we have been over the last few days partly cloudy skies slim rain Chancellorsville five six o'clock so once we start heading into the early evening hours most of us should be able to stay dry though increasing clouds tonight still looks like a very slim chance of rain again early evening forty two degrees for a low not as chilly once we wake up early tomorrow and then winds picking up turning windy for our Thursday out of the south at fifteen to twenty five and usually when we see these winds pick up that means something is on the way our next storm system moving in from the north and will have a forty percent chance of rain before we really see the majority of that rainfall will probably have to wait throughout much of the day we could even hear a rumble of thunder after around three four o'clock so far no severe risk but just keep an ear out for a rumble of thunder keep an eye out for maybe an isolated storm once we get into our Thursday night could see a brief switch to a rain snow showers we dip down close to the freezing with a low of thirty three but at least we'll be able to rebound nicely and see those temperatures get back up in the sixties by the time we get into Saturday drying out through the early part of our Friday as well warmer over the weekend get in the seventies by Sunday right now twenty eight degrees south winds at seven miles an hour and my wife and I have but I didn't cover up the plants again last night he's got a little better some flowers in it we got a flower box back in our garage so this what you're three nights in a row we've covered about yeah Brett my coanchor he he was just talking how I guess he has a couple of plants out on his patio he said he just went ahead and brought him and he didn't want to do the whole back and forth so I'm just gonna keep him for a few days that's good and then one of the probably poison ivy the eight thank you Ronald okay as in storm tracker three forecast with Kansas today meteorologist Ron L. "Boulevard area all the way up and over towards Broadway seeds in heavy traffic there as well traffic update from ninety eight seven thirty thirty K. and S. S. I'm Jeff chambers the key is in storm tracker forecast with Kansas today meteorologist Ron L. Williams good morning run L. Hey good morning Steve how you doing I'm doing fine because you know the weather is changing dramatically again but what what the heck here we are yeah you know what things have been okay so far I know it's a lot colder out there horse you know because we've got those strong gusty winds that have been just howling out of the north with some of our neighbors just down to our south over the past hours so maybe a little bit over an hour I've been getting some reports of freezing drizzle out of out of Cali county areas like you doll bird in ark city so I know that's not too far away from here and even though we're here in Wichita I wouldn't be surprised if there was maybe a little bit of drizzle that tried to develop around our area maybe even a little bit of missed in with temperatures slightly below freezing we could easily get a couple of slick spots out there but again so far things are fine that's just something that we're gonna have to watch going through the day in some of our neighbors a little bit farther to our north and west actually dealing with some snow showers so this is going to be the story through the day as we'll see some patchy spotty areas of winter weather gradually kinda track across the area maybe skimming Wichita along the way not only through this morning but also all the way through the evening commute and later on tonight as well so it's gonna be a busy forecast at least over the next couple of days well have cloudy skies through today not really get a whole lot of sunshine sixty percent chance of snow not saying that world will get walloped or anything like that but just the fact that we do have a pretty good chance at seeing at least a few snow flakes when it comes to snow fall amounts our totals that by the time we get to tomorrow should only range between around I traced to a couple of inches with a high of thirty degrees today so we're gonna stay below freezing all day as well north winds fifteen to twenty five and then tonight another sixty percent chance of snow was winter weather just gradually kind of tracks west to east across the state dropping down in nineteen degrees gonna be a frigid start tomorrow with north winds still pretty breezy out there at ten to twenty four hour Wednesday thirty percent chance of snow it looks like the majority of the snow flakes falling should mainly be to the east of Wichita thirty degrees tomorrow though so it's gonna be just it's cold with a north wind at ten to twenty miles an hour given the air once again kind of a bite or sting out there with some a bitter wind chills and then that snow chance just getting smaller and smaller ten percent chance by Wednesday night should stay completely dry Thursday with some sunshine returning temperatures rebounding into the forties and then after that we'll have a couple more systems that will have to watch out for slight rain snow chance Friday and again Sunday night into Monday but the weekend so far looking not as good as this past weekend but not too bad mix of clouds and sun and highs right around fifty degrees so it's okay to go ahead and start making those plans now right now we're at thirty one degrees overcast skies dry just gusty north easterly winds at fifty miles an hour gusting up to twenty five make it feel more like twenty degrees out there listen and so on I'm I'm managing or some folks from chief kingdom around here going to head up to the big parade in Kansas city tomorrow morning yeah yeah of course you look at it there for weather in Kansas city tomorrow you know what thats no chance because it's mainly gonna be east of Wichita and it's not just gonna be eastern Kansas but that there's gonna be a band of snow it's looking like it's going to set up and it's going to stretch all the way up into the Kansas city metro so during that parade starts at eleven thirty the it may be snowing during the parade and as we go through the parade there could even be a little bit of accumulation on the ground so far Kansas city they're looking at anywhere between in answer to it best case scenario a trace.

"Thirty K. E. N. S. S. I'm Jeff chambers and as we head into the weekend the let's take a look at what's going on with the case in stormtracker three forecast from meteorologist Ron L. Williams good morning run now Ted happy Friday thank you we made it yeah yeah it was a struggle you know especially after the weather this week it seems like every couple of days you know we get these quick systems that that kind of blow through and give us a little bit of ice and snow but I I just want to detail little bit more what Jack just mentioned you know even though the rain the snow is gone you know he just mentioned the potential for some slick conditions out there and that's exactly what we've been talking about I can't this today all morning long just because a lot of the roads you know around the area they're still wet there still damp you know temperatures are either at freezing or slightly below in spots so that's what could lead to some isolated slick spots but I'm gonna go ahead and say if we don't hear of any issues in the next hour or so then we'll definitely be in the clear still gonna be cloudy out there but will will be okay did you want it see any snow falling by the time you guys were headed into work late last night yes it was and I drove the elder radio for a basketball game last night I got so I ran into some fairly what I thought was heavy snow in Butler County yes still only getting around a half an inch to an inch in that area I actually just saw an inch and a half pop up for Dickinson county so a lot of our neighbors to the north and east they did get a little bit more than us so you know and even a little bit of snow we we know with what that can do when it comes to slick conditions so no I'm just glad we kind of made it through this next about without too many issues and hopefully when the next bout arrives we'll be ready as well because that one is in sight too now we are gonna get a little bit of a break before that moves in we've got mostly cloudy skies this morning eventually turning partly cloudy once we get into the afternoon winds are still going to be a little bit breezy out there out of the northwest at ten to twenty keeping our temperatures are are highs in the forties hive only forty four degrees still fairly close to normal for this time of year partly cloudy skies tonight your Friday evening is gonna be just fine just make sure you keep the code handy waking up to a low of twenty four degrees by early tomorrow morning winds are gonna turn lighter weak disturbance out west sweeps through the area through our Saturday bring us just a few more clouds and also a very slim chance of rain now that system gonna move out by the time those temperatures fall again late in the night on Saturday so that means when shouldn't see any snow from this next system maybe just a couple of raindrops and highs are gonna be well above freezing get up to getting up to forty seven agrees the warm up really kicks into gear Sunday Monday both days high fifty six next system roles in Monday night Tuesday twenty percent chance of rain possibly mixing with some snow and maybe sing rain snow shower on Wednesday and Thursday as well so this is the time frame that we'll have to watch out for in the near future right now we're at thirty two degrees overcast skies northwest winds at fifteen miles an hour feels more like twenty two degrees once we factor in those winds so it's just gonna be a rock kind of great start to the day but eventually turning better from here super well thanks for the info and have a great weekend right now thanks that is the K. as in stormtracker three forecast with meteorologist Ron L. Williams at seven fourteen Stephen Ted on K. an SS the the efforts to curb but smoking seems like a their never ending efforts but we do have some something new on that front and let's check in with fox news radio seven brown live this morning in Miami and and Evan the what to something going on that we haven't had for a few decades on this front well we we get a report every so often but the the.

"Yeah two vehicles to vehicle accident funny and Washington traffic update from ninety eight seven at thirteen thirty K. N. S. S. I'm Jeff chambers and now look at the forecast route he is an stormtracker three forecast with Kansas in a meteorologist Ron L. Williams give only run at all see how you doing well I'm I'm told that's what I'm doing and you fix it for frosty out there this more yeah it's it's the kind of cold where if you don't have the heat on inside it's gonna feel more like outside right cold out there yet teens single digits temperatures in the twenties everybody in the freezer this morning so I'm sure you won't be going for a walk anytime soon but Steve if if that's the case and you do like to go for that walk at least if it's a little bit warmer I do have some warmer temperatures in the forecast for you we're just gonna have to continue to be patient I want those warmer temperatures to I'm not too much of a fan of these temperatures in the teens and single digits out there but mother nature definitely keeping us on our toes over the next few days and actually about twenty four hours from now we may be starting the day off on a busier note with some rain snow showers around possibly even waking up tomorrow morning with some snow on the ground so before we get there it's all gonna be a process first we're going to see increasing clouds going from partly cloudy to mostly cloudy as we go through our Tuesday out there and even though we're starting off the teams this morning of course we are going to be able to warm up but only so much high of thirty nine degrees even gonna be chilly during the afternoon southerly winds picking up a ten to twenty five miles an hour but that southerly flow not helping us today as we cloud up and eventually turn over cast that's what's going to keep us pretty chilly all day not really a whole lot of sunshine during that warm as part of the day mostly cloudy skies tonight eighty percent chance of rain snow showers low of thirty five degrees we know thirty two that magic number that point of freezing but even though temperatures are expected to be just above freezing all we have to do is cool down a little bit more and we may see a little bit more snow than rain going through our Wednesday seventy percent chance of rain snow showers and even though it is looking like we should be able to dry out by the time we get well into the afternoon by evening it does look like we could see anywhere between one to three inches but that's really going to depend on how cold it gets tonight and how cold it is by early tomorrow morning once we wake up so this is why we got a really continue to keep a close eye on this forecast only a thirty percent chance of rain snow shower once we get into our Wednesday night heading into Thursday does look a lot drier and then chances will only decrease from their thirty percent chance of rain snow shower Thursday going down a twenty percent chance of a few snow flakes by Friday completely dry by the weekend and that's when we'll start to warm up looks like we've got fifties on the way by Sunday in continuing that trend into next Monday so still gonna take a little bit of time right now we're at fifteen cold degrees with the southeast wind at eight miles an hour feels more like four degrees out there so it is pretty chilly out there when you think it you talk about one to three inches when will that happen is that tonight overnight tonight when that's going to happen yeah you think that's going to start a little bit later on this evening it's really looking like after sundown if things get started before sundown should mainly just be chilly rain showers yeah but after the sun goes down that's when we'll start to cool back down close to the freezing and that's where we may start to see either a wintry mix of some snow showers kind of blend in with the rain showers that's going to continue through the night waking up tomorrow morning that's what makes awesome travel troubles in the morning as well and it's safe to just go ahead and have everybody out there just plan on adding some extra time to that one day morning yeah all right thank you Sir the K. as in stormtracker three forecast with Kansas today meteorologist run L. Williams now seven fourteen Stephen had in the morning here on K. an SS today is Tuesday January twenty first day after the Martin Luther king day the big with the holiday yesterday the first a federal holiday of the new year I'm glad they put one in January idea and it's not that we're we've all been working so hard for this since the first of the year on the other hand you know taking just an intraday high who who not a little bit as good for a lot of people in and we appreciate that then they were all gone back to work go back to school on this date January twenty first in two thousand three the census bureau announced that Hispanics had surpassed blacks as America's largest minority group about that that was in the year two thousand three so Hispanics are the largest minority larger than the the group of blacks in America seven fifteen Stephen dead in good times you were on yesterday so I didn't get a chance to talk to you with you about what happened last Friday when we went to the my daughter and the twin daughters granddaughters Merion shops on the for the four of us we went to Arby's and got a sandwich in we went across the street over there to the to Carol Jim see the Caroline Cape in basketball game with both teams happen or what undefeated at the time and league player league play and you have got tell you what that Jim well I never seen it that crowd it was really crowded they're thinking maybe two thousand people really yeah so that the game was there and I am the first to you have a walk in the I was looking around because like you said you're going to be there because Logan your nephew place okay but yes start okay from and that's one reason was going to go see that course but and of course ball my kids in the in the Catholic schools out there on Caroline what not to we my daughter ready to hunt tons of people she knew but the first thing I.
