S. S. top infectious disease official says more tests are coming soon National Institute of allergy and infectious diseases director Anthony Fauci speaking on MSNBC said things will get worse before they get better but it sure is large scale testing is on the way many more tests the gonna be going out very very shortly algae admitted widespread testing should have been available earlier no denying there was a bit of a disconnect where people here that a test to be available to anybody and they go into a doctor's office and they get and they didn't get it Phalke noting there will be many more cases in the coming days as proportionate action must be taken on all levels to mitigate the spread of the.

"Wonderful. Thank you. That's first thing. I'll say what did that song that song came out of? I I was living at the time. I was living at the Chelsea hotel. And and I had had you know, it's funny because I I I went to New York earlier on before my first record. And my dad has had always loud, you know, he'd always lived in New York. And so I went down there and. Slumped around and really had a terrible time. Nobody got me on. It was at the time that Jeff Buckley was was was on the rise. And I and I go to this place as in the lower side. And I give I gave them my tape three times. They refused. It three times. I gave back to me three times. And. And just New York did not embrace me at all. And so I laughed and then I ended up coming to Hollywood and doing there and make my first record anyways. So then I am back in New York with with having made a record. And and being you know, being well known and sort of the hot new guy on the block. And of course, everybody loved me. Everybody wanted to have a piece of everybody. You know, I was suddenly king of the city. And that's when I wrote poses at that point. I went into my New York. I was like I'm gonna have my New York experience moved into the Chelsea and. Proceeded to to debauchery is. My existence and and that song and cigarettes and chocolate milk goes to those two. Are there traces of your? Traces of your mother in what you do..

"Why like that one but your son didn't approve it or a record or song was done and they wanna go remix it but jeff approve that so it was really hard for me so i'm glad i've really got i'm glad i got fired relatively quick 'cause it was just too painful what i love about that is is you know you signed a deal when you first signed on with jeff even when it didn't look like he would ever become profitable to you a deal in perpetuity and i think that your devotion to protecting him also is in perpetuity well i wanna make one thing very clear there's been written on his website that everybody prospers and the state doesn't make any money because we're going to hand in his pocket when i settled the case six years out of his death that whole settlement was i don't want another dime but yeah i i am protecting him by writing this book i feel you know i want people to know that you're genius album and how much you meant to me well i wanna leave it there and i want to tell you how very much it means to me that you would take the time to tell me your story and jeff story as well dave laura thanks so much for being here jeff buckley from hallelujah to last goodbye is a book co authored by my guest dave lori and music journalist jim irvine it comes out on the university of jeff's death on may twenty ninth thank you so much today for coming in and sharing his story thanks to our senior producer kimberly do not for this session i'm telling us langer you're listening to the world cafe.

"A book that was just oh he's great he's doing this you know all those things are true but you know he was a human being to at fault guy did and we had a few rows together so i just wanted to put the stamp on it that's really a there's a book coming out next year i think that's been announced that his mom mary who has control of the state is putting together that we'll have from what i've read excerpts from his diary like like photocopied pages from the diary and photos and well i don't know of any parent that would release their kids diaries i also know that he said to me and i read it in his diaries that he never wanted his diaries out and you had a couple of quotes from them in in the book that you bring in straight some points in your own book yeah absolutely you know i had to send them in all to the mothers part of the settlement and all that so she has them and it's her right to do whatever she wants with them but this is another reason i did the book it's really hard to see stuff that's being done with his legacy everybody close to him musically are pretty upset about it's probably the wrong word to use but just jeff would never done that you know even with the book cover that fought in the book cover is the font we used for live at chennai you know the photos that i use to him he approved where i remember the first marketing meaning i sat down with you know because i'd have the artist approve every photo from every photo shoot and we'd number one on the road and when i said we're going to release a single what photo do you want i want thirty four so there was no guesswork right so i remember the first market mean we laid them all out and i said all these with the red dots jeff approve.
