And guys i watched the speech and i gotta tell you something man that was emotional for me and it's not because of anything jeeter said jeeter gave his standard. Ceo speech right. He didn't step in anything he was. He hit all the right. Not set all the right things but i don't think he said anything that would move someone normally emotionally except that there's something about baseball at least for me. My dad show three years old. I'm like hearing about baseball. Grew up in the shadow of yankee stadium. And all that. During the fifty he's watched dimaggio mantle play and also growing up watching reggie jackson. Ron gigiri greg. Nettles these guys you know when you see maybe because it's played out doors maybe 'cause it's demarcation of time maybe because the careers are so long but i was grown. I was grown when geeta broke into the bigs and he helped restore the yankees brand to the dominant position in baseball right. They were good sometimes not good. Other times they wanna world some world series in the seventy but they were like a lot of other teams over the last several decades before jeter got there. Then he turned back into the yankees along with others bernie williams and other mariano rivera but they were a dominant. A win won the world series like every year right. There's something about watching a guy come into the league. You're grown when that happens and now you're at the age i'm at the age of forty eight years old. I'm watching his hall of fame speech and he played twenty years so as he's talking i'm thinking about the way it's connected emotionally by the way my life has changed the people in my life that were. They're gone now. You know past or moved on like it's connected to so much for me that went i was just. It was a hard hitting emotional moment. I'm good in the world series but in this in this personal moment when he was probably worried about detracting from the team. I got to get this out of the way so we can just move on with our season. That was a to me that stood out as a moment and then he from there on out after that moment for the rest of the season hit three thirty eight three ninety two four two four fifty one so he was derek jeter again after he got that out of the way so again this one tells that tells the tale of why these moments are so different because of this. Red Sox legend David Ortiz shot in Dominican Republic

He's resting now and he is stable. That's what he said, in Spanish, a second person who was with or teas was also shot this as a television host there, according to his wife, they were both on their backs. It was. Very fast. He doesn't remember much because he was also in shock from the bullet wound. Apparently this was targeted multiple people have been detained in connection with the shooting. And it's unclear whether those detained include the motorcyclists who according to reports at least on the scene people that were in the crowd. So again, they're trying to sort out this morning, how many people were connected to this, if this was because this happened at a nightclub, there could be a lot of people who got caught up.
