"Guy if the governor rump, huh? You watch your ass. This is how incredible federalism is. This is federalism on steroids. The governor's out of town in the loo Governors, lieutenant governor says while handle that chief enjoy whatever it is you're doing. I'll go ahead and issue a directive then. I just love it. And the directive is we're not going to allow mask mandates in our state. Not gonna happen. Juxtapose that with hair Wolf here in Pennsylvania. Who says Oh, no, I'm not gonna let up on any restrictions until Memorial Day proper Monday, Memorial Day, and by the way, we're not gonna let up on the mask mandate. Until late next month or Unless everyone 70%, at least of the population in Pennsylvania gets the vaccine. Whichever comes 1st 70% of the population vaccinated or Masks must be worn until June. 28th Mean? How striking How completely black and white crystal clear roar shock test him a moment for this country. Idaho. Pennsylvania, Idaho's lieutenant governor says Nope. Not only are we not going to require masks of the state level, we're not going to allow anyone to force people behind masks, not in school, not in business is not allowed in Idaho. It's never been clearer. The direction that you can choose is an American in this country. You want an all powerful dictator? Ordering everyone to comply and do exactly the same thing or Leader who says Your individual is a matters more than anything else. What you need to do to protect yourself or If you feel you don't need to protect yourself. Let it be on you. We're not going to order everyone is a collective to obey us. We're going to assume you know what's best for you Be free. It's never been clearer. The choices is ours to make in this country, and people are making it. And you could see it in the explosive boom. In cities like Nashville in states like Florida. People are leaving this crab. They're out. I don't want it. Now the question remains, and you hear it often when you go there. We just hope that all these blue state people are not going to bring their blue state voting with us in turn. Are free, Lovely. Uh, liberty loving states. And municipalities, bring their blue state politics with them and change them and corrupt them. That is the question down the road that people wonder in 20 years. Well, Florida look dramatically different. And will it look more like New Jersey and Pennsylvania someday? You hope not. I know. I think it will. I think it will. If you look at that, Gillom Scientists election And how close it was. Now you're gonna have Ah, influx of people from the mid Atlantic moving down there. I mean, think of Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. All the people moved out of Philly in the nineties moved into Manco flipped. It completely blew 20 years and it used to be your right. Ruby Red Manco. Yeah. I hate to be Down about it, but I think that's what's going to happen. And I look only the super wealthy will be able to continue to afford to live here. You know, like, what's so funny is you know where I come from the Midwest? If you do the math, just the math, just the math of going back to the Midwest. The Rays you instantly earn when you move to the south of the Midwest. It's an instant raise. Whatever it is, you're listening. If you're listening to me right now, and you're earning a living. If if I took your home If I took the value of your home and shoulder if you're a homeowner, let me say this another way. If you want a home here right now. And you sold it. It's a seller's market, so you'd sell it for a pretty penny. You take the equity that you get out of the sailor your home and then you go to say Let's just That's good. Let's let's pick where I'm from Kansas City. I I can't tell you what $300,000. Let's just say to 250,000 to a $300,000 home here. What that buys. I know what it buys. Because I've got a house not far from my house State least two gold manner that the $300,000 House it's on sale right now. I and I will just tell you that what $300,000 will buy you in Kansas City. It will blow your mind. You'll feel like Jed Clampett in the Beverly Hillbillies. It's palatial. The way you can live in certain parts of this country. That would barely buy you a cracker box. In this part of the country. From gas prices to food prices to home prices. Taxes, of course. It's an instant raise when you leave this place and go anywhere else. And I, It's hard to imagine that anybody who would purposely leave this place. Go find that kind of freedom and more affordable living would ever vote against it. It's hard to understand how anyone would ever vote against it, but they always get caught up in the socialist. You cracked the emotional social issue crap. And fear cells, Man and fear is so powerful this covert thing If government officials like Fauci can come up and tell you that it's very, very frightening, and you've got to trust them and do what they tell you to keep you from dying. It's amazing how people will just vote. Amazing what people will do Whatever they're told they will sacrifice that cheaper cost.

"People going to do if Trump eventually leaves the scene on the nightly news report will be Joe Biden's Drool Cup is exchanged. Joe Biden gets new Drool, Cup change way You know, there's no way that I'm going to tell you a quick, really quick story about In England. Jeremy Bentham was a philosopher, and he started at University of London. Or is it the London School of any started University and in London, and when he died, he had himself mummified, and he had a wax head put on top of his body and his actual heads in a jar beneath his feet. Serious no. And at this university he attends every chancellor meeting. They wheel him out of the way. You know if this has worked before Theo extreme weekend at Bernie? Yeah, I have a friend that went up and met Jeremy Bentham in the closet and went to the university and she's can I see it And they said yes, but he goes to every He goes every board meeting in the university. I think we can set a trend here. Ah, what they're gonna do and the economy collapses under this guy can't wait. Joe Biden has no power at all. After Trump collapse the economy, it will be interesting to see what they can even produce a snooze. After this, it's I hear some news for you guys Listen to this. You've probably heard this already. Democrat Abigail Span, Berger says. Never safe, defund the police or socialism ever again. She said. And this is a Democrat from Virginia. She says. Democrats should never say to fund the police or use the word socialism during a press conference call on Thursday after her party lost many vulnerable seats. We have to commit to not saying words defund the police ever again. We need to never use the word socialist or socialism again. It doesn't matter, And we have lost good members. Because of that. She's acknowledging that nobody gives a damn about leftist policies on America. Nobody and you know what else? The environment was number three. The economy was number one with voters and the virus was way down there to nobody cares about the virus. But we got President virus coming in to control our every move with masts and take away your gun so you can't defend yourself from looters. God help us. A friend of mine says You know what our country's been through worse. And I said, Well, yeah, but you know what? I wasn't here, and I don't wanna have to be a part of this worse. Yeah, because good about to get our worse and it's worrisome to me, and I think it's worrisome to a lot of people. Like I said, people are going to be up and moving, you know. Remember the old Jed Clampett. You No need to move to Beverly. Right? Well, we need to move out of Beverly. We need to move to a place where you know the people that are running the country running the state that you're in. Are doing a much better job of what's happening in many of these states Across America. It's really concerning, you know. Pat. You have to dig up all your dogs and take him with you. I am a back. Oh, now and it would be quite Ah. Do you have a bad heart? Ideo got its eye. I'm getting too old for what I need to know. I know. I told my friend the other day I said there's two things in this world that I love. One is my wife and the other one is my tractor. I've had a very bad bad influence. Yes, you have. And I want a card shirt too. Just like your anyway. All right. So what is the solution here? What do you think's gonna happen next week? I'm just curious because It continues to edge towards their going to. Finally, at some point, and for those who are listening tonight, Friday night, they would have already done it Today. They're going to finally say alright, Biden has got enough votes now electoral votes that he is now officially been declared the You know the next president. What happens next is the fight continues on Is Trump is in there for a few more months. I have no idea what's gonna happen next, And that's the fun part of all of this. That's why I went out. And that's why I talk shows will live for FBI. That's for sure. All I can say is, prepare yourself and be aware. And part of the strategy is just to depress the hell out of you. So they could take advantage of you during this depression point and forced you into mental submission. And here I have to submit you don't have to believe any of this stuff. I don't believe in China America and Trump is still my president. So screen wall they can't control how I think. I think that you should adopt the same attitude if he ends up in president, I I don't want to get rid of the American flag flying at half mast until some sort of sanity is restored to the nation, and we may be at war. Some day Nobody ever gave America a magic pass. For all the triads and tribulations that occurred in all the other countries in the world. There is no magic protection. There might be magic protection if we all still believe in God again, but but it's it's It's not happening. So you gotta toughen up. You've got to think clearly. You can't spend all your time with a broken heart. You need to be back into the fight. Breaking your enemies will is how you defeat an enemy. That's also well so don't let him break your will You control that, According to Herr Ober men Care about me. He tweeted out last night. It is necessary to remove and arrest the president of United States tonight, said Trump has lost his mind that must be removed tonight. But he goes on to say, because of the virus because of Iris and clip 13. Go ahead go that claimed 1616 lives yesterday and added 108,000 new infections. Why did exit polls show that two out of every five Americans claim they are better off now than they were in 2016? Because They now have a collective hallucination to share. Nobody asked by a pollster. Are you better off than you were four years ago has to show a bank statement or a note from a psychiatrist to prove it. This.

"We wanna talk about everything so all that being said This is all about being green. All right got that. I've got it. Okay here we go. exxon I thought this was a good read. A good article. It was extremely well written and When you sit back and take a look at exxon there's two reasons to have carbon capture tax credits and what's coming around. The corner is es g. e. s. g. credits almost all of our majors. Bp shell everybody during our ep week. They're talking about going to carbon-neutral by is it. Twenty thirty michael Something like that and it's all around. I it's it was like twenty five to i mean when i got to figure that data because i have pledged to hit apps by then oh absolutely and so they're follow me on my west harbor neutral. They're getting carbon neutral by taking credits on the goodness that they do. They're still going to be public. You know put carbon everybody's going carbon-neutral art everybody seeking carbon credits yes it's a fallacy that when a company says we're going corporate culture they're actually cutting their carbon emissions what they're doing is they're purchasing credits in order to admit because there's an economist we take this class. There is a level of emissions that is required. A graph of you can actually put a number value now. It's not a great estimation you can put a number value on what a pound of carbon. It's like thirty five bucks anyway. It's like anywhere from like five. You could find ranges from like five to seventy i had to take. I took environmental engineering environmental economics. Kind of a boring classmates. You didn't find but it's really interesting. How you can calculate a pound of carbon causes the most average like thirty five bucks right. i mean how. How much did these guys admit. Well there's a bunch here in our our we need to get. Somebody needs to create an es g like emissions like almost bloomberg terminal style. Somebody on that. I believe i know some guys working on that bed. What do ya yeah. Okay so all that is the set the stage you have exxon up in. The balkan has had a carbon capture technology up there for many years and you you capture the carbon. You pump it. Back into fracking in bonds with the molecules or to get more sounds great. Sounds like now. There's a cashier yet. They have had multiple multiple accidents of having to close schools from the carbon. Co two coming up from the ground. So this is not jed clampett going oh up from the ground came bubbling crude up from the ground came Oh by the way you know a bunch of c o two so this this and this is where my engineering prowess 'cause this is different than co two flooding correct. That is correct. So you you sit there and ango You know anyway Environmental activists say that. There's good reason to require rigorous rigorous a satellite and. We're fudd oversight Exxon wyoming's facility for example has repeatedly spewed unknown volumes..

"Talk about how scene was done John. Well in those days the at that point. There was only one thirty second. Bit of film footage of an actual tornado shot in Cuba earlier in the nineteen thirties. There were photographs of tornadoes, but MGM was going on description and pictures, and the were no CGI possible effects in one thousand nine thirty eight thirty nine they had to make everything in this case, quite literally out of whole cloth. And what they did was wrapped chicken wire around and around and around bigger at the top. And then smaller is it got to the bottom the bottom being thirty four feet from the top. They wrapped muslin around that had the top above of the sound stages at MGM are in the rafters, pardon me. The bottom was underneath the floor of the sound stage where it was attached to a little cart. And that way they could drive the car around under the floor and make the bottom of the funnel looked like it was swooping. They added a plates of. Class that had been painted gray. They headed a tufts of cloud made out of cotton. They added wind machines they added dust, and that is how they made a tornado for the screen of eighty years ago. This is one of those other interesting cultural touch points, John because as I understand it a lot of people who saw that scene. Got turned on for the first time to meteorology. Well, this was again one of the great ongoing points about wizard of Oz. And its impact I think it was about seven or eight years ago the Weather Channel, which I venerate did a special on the hundred most important moments in whether history, and I think number fifty two or fifty three was the tornado in the wizard of Oz. Because it impacted on so many of them and lead them into a career of forecasting weather studying whether predicting weather there were also a lot of issues though with the makeup from this movie because it was in technicolor makeup was very different. Granted there was makeup in black and white films. But they were doing different things, for example. The original actor who played the tin, man. Not Jack Haley, the one you see in the movie, but the original actor the makeup on him was so bad that he ended up in the hospital for a month and a half is that right? The in an iron lung letty apps. What happened buddy absent who most people will know as jed clampett or Barnaby Jones from TV in the sixties seventies. And eighties was the tin, man. He had been a Broadway song and dance, man. And his original makeup was clown. White, you know, the white pace they that clowns put on their faces. And then this was dusted with aluminum particles to give him the tin, silver, sheen. Well, the first ten days of shooting. He was dusted and dusted and reduced it and reduced it over and over every day, and he inhaled unwittingly a lot of those silver Potter particles, and the aluminum he either had an allergy to it or it did something if it coated his lungs on the inside and one night, he went home to dinner and could not breathe and had to be rushed to the hospital, and he was had to be replaced in the. Film because he was laid up for as you said weeks, but MGM hit a lot of makeup problems with us not only because of the technicolor, but because five years before us paramount had made an all-star Allison wonderland. Carey grant, all of the WC fields. Gary Cooper, all these people, but they were done they were immersed in huge paper, machine and rubber masks. So that you couldn't recognize them an MGM learned from this. They said if we're gonna star or co star Ray Bolger, Jack Haley, Bert Lahr, Frank Morgan Margaret Hamilton, these are people who come have fans who come to the movies to see them. We have to make sure they look like themselves. Besides looking like the characters vase Margaret Hamilton suffered from the makeup to the green face makeup burned her face, didn't it. Well, it wasn't. It wouldn't have except that in the scene where the wicked witch disappears from munchkin land right after the line. I'll get you my pretty and your little dog too. Meg and I knew Margaret Hamilton. So we had. Discussed this years ago..

"Slash video slash around the NFL, I want the if you watch watch you'll be the first people to ever watch these videos to check it out. It's like, here's the good news fans of our show. We're going to give you more and more content. The bad news, we're gonna make it harder and harder for you to find. If you want to it's like a egg hunt. If you wanna hear west trench and takes on the week seventeen players of the week, go check it out. There you go before we leave. I did send out a mailbag prompt from the around the NFL Twitter handle. Start with you on this one Mark now that the brand this from Ryan he'll now that the Brown's got their head coach who would Mark like to see the DC an older former head coach Alloway Phillips or a younger DC candidate. Bill belichick. These taken Bill Parcells he's old and retired. Nobody really jumps to be honest. Like, I would want someone that's not going to, you know, get I I want someone who's not gonna fight with the with with kitchens and the rest, you don't have a pipeline to all the best linebackers. Coach is in the NFL. I just seems like they, you know, you're safe say hepker Johnson like oh, good. Good idea. There's some share DNA there. Remember kitchens worked under Bill Parcells west could be parcels this from Kayla Kalem, Leslie, which one of the hires. Do you think has the biggest chance of backfiring? Do you think there's a real chance any of them are out of job again in twelve months? I think honestly that the Bruce Arians higher has the best chance of backfiring. Because because of his health issues, and if he if something happens, and then you have an inexperienced coaching staff behind him. I think that's how you end up with three and third, and he he said in his first comments the whole thing. The whole franchise will be built around James one. That's the other cat you're counting on that to work. That makes also James Winston one of the biggest winners of the off season. But it also means if he continues to be the guy he's been for the last four years, you're right back where you started right? Good job. Good mailbag. Do one more one more. I mean to feels a little light. Mailbag? And I thought you keep these no it's like a male back, right? Unless I thought you guys are going to just go back and forth. I mean, I'm thinking like someone heavy bag of mail like west used to. Oh, you assaulted come up with. It's more of though that would be like a good job. I was my answer as well. Yeah. All right. Vampire little bit. Mark. Let me find one more, Greg. How you doing over there? Hello, my baby. Hello. Madonna floor is French for the flower. Math. We've never podcast before. Really, this is this is cut territory. There may be you know, post show yarder who is handle be author PR. Piatra? He is not Peter at is survived. Oh and sixteen with Jim Bob cooter out in Detroit who's likely to replace him. Jed clampett, John boy, Walton Bo Duke or a member of the country there champ. Got less got good. That was. Yeah. I was like jed clampett. Petrie has got some chops last question real question. Greg Todd rice asks what does the hiring Bruce Arians mean for the quarterback situation? Tampa Bay better you feel better about James Watson. There's a long-term doubt. No doubt the way the airlines talked about it on Wednesday. Is that they're they're all in with James Winston, if you if you believe in Jameis Winston like I do that. He's still has a chance to be still believe good starter. He saw it that he can be better that he can be either solid. It's fair. It's also the GM picked and the GM is still around a referendum to keep using Jameis Winston who's had more turnovers than anyone in the league since he's been drafted. It all makes sense. But he also is accomplished a lot of a four year ends rookie contract. There's been a lot worse. Put it that way. All right. There you go. Thank you. Everybody sent in questions. We will be back tomorrow with our divisional round playoff preview. Now, I said wild card weekend is one of the best weekends of the year and the NFL. The best weekend is divisional playoff weekend..

"To mention you just leave you didn't just leave Chicago and just for the weather. You also are in a place where there is great and iconic food on the barbecue side. And so we want to get a little Intel and recon from you. And you are as the listeners will will get to know a barbecue aficionado, and certainly a fan of all things again a graduate of camp brisket, right right there. Texas A&_M university. Oh, three day class. So you think you think of obviously think of Franklin barbecue, and you think of some of the Salt Lake and some of those ones that really have kind of a national footprint as far as awareness, but there's other places that you are just as good or better. Right. If you're gonna make a trip down there, you got to see him. Absolutely. So a lot of folks come down to Texas, and I strongly encourage them to come down to Texas and do these duties brisket tours or branch out and do ribs, and and sausage and all of the other offerings. But Lexington Texas has snows barbecue amazing amazing barbecue magnolia Texas has an emerging star in Reveille barbecue. And these these are the kind of places where people these are, you know, they're they're they said there were five ingredients that go into it. It's salt pepper meet time and smoke. That's that's what goes into it. And the people who are. Running these places who own these places, either small businesses and. They take such pride in the products that they're putting out. So I would encourage folks to come down and spend a couple of days going from place to place and seeing the differences that Texas barbecue offers. Yeah, that's high praise coming from Andy to because he knows of what he speaks in a certainly a big fan of great barbecue.
