"He's supposed to be the secondary guy. He's supposed to be the I don't know, like his secondary coach, right? Now he's a defensive coordinator. And so secondary is struggling. And you just start to wonder what's going on there. Because you think about some of the money spent in the draft capital to fix that secondary it's been good. The Patriots first drive, third and 8, third and 6th, third and 13. Those are get off the field downs. Those are hold to a field goal temp downs. Mac Jones. 16% above expectation yesterday. That was the best rate for week ten. Joe Woods was trying to prove a point late in that game, down 38, 70, he kept his starters out there. And you hate to say this, but I think the browns defensive players quit. And you mentioned Brian horror, marches down, 95 yards on 6 plays. Ugly scene for us. I know we had a good number under 45 and a half in that game. So you weren't really expecting that. Probably deserve better in that game on the total anyways, right, Baker Mayfield on an interception sets up a 5 yard touchdown drive, you get a fourth and 19 midfield go for it late. That was a weird one. Chargers, I don't think there's anybody that identified the issue before us. You honestly, you get full credit. You called for this well, when things were running well, and everyone was ready to anoint Brandon staley, Joe Lombardi and his chargers offense, the greatest thing on the West Coast, since Sean mcvay took over the rams. He said, I'm not quite so sure everyone should be this excited. And over the last couple of weeks, the regression monster has bitten them on the ass multiple times. Through ten weeks right now, we are. Joel Lombardi hasn't adjusted his offense to Justin Herbert skill set. It's like he still thinks he's in New Orleans with Drew Brees. Yesterday against a Viking secondary. That was down two starters. A defense that was down three starters along the defensive line. He devised a game plan where Herbert's average intended pass was 5.7 yards. The offense constantly throws short of the sticks. The receivers are Keenan Allen and Mike Williams. Neither of those guys are run after the catch receivers. So you can't incessantly throw short of the sticks as well. The Chargers did. Herbert's completion percentage because of it. 12% below expectation. And I get it to your one. Herbert's learning a new system, more has been put on his plate. Not every player is going to match the scheme you want to run because it is your first year there, and you haven't gotten all the parts that you want? But you are in a position to be in first place in the division. You have to be a head coach. Your garnering coach of the year talk brand staley and Joe Lombardi have to be better. They have to mold their systems to the players they currently have. And that's not happening right now. No, they're going to have to be better this weekend too. An interesting gain that's what goes a long way not only in the division as Kansas City now has moved in to first place, but also as far as the AFC pecking order is concerned. Suddenly, the Chargers and steelers could be two teams vying for that bottom half of the AFC postseason birth and a tie breaking win one way or another will go a long, long way. Steelers. Let's give credit to the lines. Like baby steps, you know, you're on the road as an underdog, dome team and weather. We know golf has small hands. So his history and poor weather conditions is not very good. To me, you saw the fatigue factor. I mean, the Lions were off their bi. They're hungry, the Steelers just had the battle late Monday night. The league did the Steelers no scheduling favors this week in terms of rest and prep. The Lions also got healthier along the offensive line. And that is a unit that is by far and away Detroit's best and when healthy, the lines offensive line can be one of the better in the NFL. They've spent some money in draft capital there, you know? But I've been saying this just about any time we've broken down the Steelers. The defensive line isn't what it once was. You can't let javon hargrave walk. You can't let butt to pre walk. You can't have to it on IR and think you're going to be the same defense up front. The secondary couldn't afford two key contributors, they let guys like Hilton walk. So pass Joe Hayden in Fitzpatrick. There's not much there. And Fitzpatrick really isn't willing as I alluded to to be like the most versatile guy. So safety is one of the most valued positions in the NFL, and suddenly you've got a guy sitting back. And Joe Hayden is good as he is. He's 32. So there are some serious holes on this defense coming into the week. The Steelers were 19th in defense of Russia efficiency on first down. The rest advantage for the lines. The O line getting healthier for the Lions. And that being Detroit spec unit against the defense, it's been pushed around up front and first downs, you can kind of see how that transpired. But to your point, Jared Goff wasn't a threat to throw it. There aren't really great receivers. Let's load the box and force some things. I do think right when you have those weather conditions and you're a defensive guy trying to hold up at the point of attack, the offensive line might have a little bit of an advantage there. That probably played a role as well. But all in all, there's a lot of factors on why the Steelers defensive front wasn't the best against the run yesterday. And I'm not going to allow the Steelers offense to skate either. I know mason Rudolph is out there. You weren't sure what to expect. A nice opening drive to go up 7, nothing. But you also can have a veteran receiver who's supposed to be your number one and Deontay Johnson fumble the football and over time when you're in plus territory, pat fryer moved coughed one up as well along the sidelines. One thing I will say though, and it's a friendly reminder, all of you are loyal listeners. If you guys haven't subscribed to the bet the board newsletter, you'd have been sitting pretty with a Jared Goff under two 50 and a half passing yardage ticket that you'd never had a sweat from start to finish as a partial position. So a reminder that there are plenty of ways to get bet the board content. Not only are podcasts on Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays, but the articles that were there that highlighted the Detroit Lions is a market move. And of course, the newsletter that gave out the golf prop under passing yards as well. Anything else pain that stood out to you in a negative manner before we decide to eviscerate a potential starting quarterback in Denver as my loan consideration for the ugly category this week? Nope, I will let you lead that charge. You actually texted me and I had to go back and watch it. In real time I wasn't quite sure what transpired at the end of the third quarter when Darius slay picked up a fumble on fourth and short, was dancing around the effort from Denver. I thought the play had been whistled dead. And there's Darius slay dancing down the sidelines and you send me a text and I'm paraphrasing here, I believe it. Well, teddy's not gonna like the way that looks on film. And I'm thinking to myself, what the hell is pain talking about? Teddy didn't do anything there. It was a fumble from the running back. Philadelphia, ice is the game going up 27, 13 and it's all she wrote, well I went back, watch that play. Teddy decided to make a career move, and a body preservation play when it came to not doing anything to try and slow down Darius slay as he's racing through that Denver offense to the House for an 82 yard scoop and score. I'm convinced teddy Bridgewater all he had to do was lean over, and he could at least redirected Darius slay off his path..

"No, oh, okay. No. What do you got for me? No, no, no, you talked about Baker Mayfield and how there's no similar mindset in terms of his value to the point spread. We talk at great lengths, and I've had it drummed into my head. You've have as well. And I know a lot of our listeners who don't have access to the same resources. Take what they hear from the experts out there and try and incorporate that into their handicapping process that no skill position players in the league for the most part. You know, are worth more than two points to the number. Christian McCaffrey being in a class unto himself as we've seen from Carolina offensively. But I do want to ask when you look at this Cleveland offense and it's a very limited sample size. You have to be careful trying to extrapolate too much from it. The browns have been a proficient ground game with Nick Chubb. One of the best in the league, they've made a commitment there. I know strength to schedule an opponent's factor into it. But the browns have only averaged 91 rushing yards per game in less than four yards per carry with zero rushing touchdowns in the 5 games without Nick Chubb since the start of last year, we saw some of that last week to Cleveland didn't even want to commit to the ground game, because Stefanski was too worried about overusing Kareem hunt. Now I know hunt ultimately gets hurt. But the browns couldn't even get on track because they were down two scores because they were so steadfast in their belief that they didn't want to overtax their ground game. Everything you said seems to be spot on accurate. Listen last week was a little bit different of a situation. You get down 20 to nothing and suddenly the ground game goes out the window. My understanding was that Kareem hunt was always going to play last week. But if you followed the injury report, he was quite limited throughout the week and was always going to be on a pitch count so to speak. And ultimately, that lingering injury led to a larger injury. And now he's going to be out a substantial time. Prior to last week, though, there were some efficiency metrics that indicated that Kareem hunt was actually playing better than Nick Chubb was. It's really that dual headed monster in that we can hit the opposing defense when their dog tired with a fresh back at any point. Like Chubb is coming in and pounding you and then Kareem hunt comes in, and he's a 100% fresh and you've been on the field for 7 or 8 snaps already as a defensive line. And there is that great rapport between the two backs. I believe there was a segment on one of the NFL programs where Nick Chubb is relinquishing his role towards the latter part of that game. I believe it was the Chicago game where he's like, man, they got me locked up, but you're going ham, finish this game. And so there is that dual headed monster look, but now you also are throwing in the element of both tackles around. The offense just has an operated at the level we thought it would for a number of reasons. The tackle situation has been touch and go all season. Wills and Conklin have been playing through injuries. They've missed time. Chubb wasn't as efficient early on in the season. Baker Mayfield, not performing up to expectation and when that happens defenses are just going to clog the box and make Baker Mayfield beat him, and he was also playing through injury. And so that's really been the culmination of what's gone, right? So all of a sudden you have a beat up line that can't enforce their will. You have a quarterback that is not creating space for the ground game because he hasn't been a threat to throw it, and that's partly because he's been bad. He's been injured and his favorite weapon in Jarvis Landry is also mistime. OBJ hasn't been that deep downfield threat they thought he was. So it's really a lot of things transpiring here that hasn't allowed Cleveland's offense to necessarily get off the ground. Makes it makes a ton of sense. A team that when you looked at some of their roster moves, had a high expectations coming into the year. You obviously can't forecast injuries. I just always think it's fascinating when we talked about their suggesting a regression was in store for the browns. I don't think anybody anticipated it'd be because they couldn't feel the healthy starting 22 by week 7. So we'll see exactly what we got out of them tonight. And if the Broncos can rebound on the midst of a three game losing streak, 5 games broken down, we tried to make a little bit of chicken salad on a chicken shit for an NFL week that doesn't offer all of that much from an intrigue or viewership standpoint. But pain there is one final order of business, as you know, we head towards the weekend. What have you identified for an investable opportunity on the pro football slate? There really is not a lot here as we've made mention numerous times as we've had an unbiased third party in John kind of iterate the same thing. But a game that we feel is off that we made to and yes, this team has been our kryptonite over the years on this one. Oh, you're not gonna do it are you? Is rotation number four 65, the Philadelphia Eagles plus the three. We made the game too. We just got noticed that Dallas Goddard will be up for this game. And I think that goes a long way. You have extra rest, you have extra prep. And I think they're going to be able to do some things offensively. When we see where the Raiders are a little bit deficient, I think there's going to be some deep passes here that the eagles are able to execute. We've seen the Raiders struggle to stop the run a little bit, although they'll get I believe some reinforcements back along the interior of the line and hankins this week. On the flip side, the things the eagles do well and really when you want to back them is when they're defensive line has a distinct advantage. Because that is the best unit I still believe on the team. And that is an area where they were going to be able to have a large advantage over the Raiders interior line. We've talked about javon hargrave. We've talked about Fletcher Cox. They should own the interior of this raiders offensive line. And I think that allows them to get pressure and make Derek Carr a little bit uncomfortable. And the other matchup here that we've seen with Jonathan gannon is a guy that does not want to give up explosive place. And that is really what the Raiders offense has lived on is explosive play. So if you can limit those, if you can force the Raiders inefficient run game to hand the ball off a little bit more, I think that's the recipe. So there's value in the number. I think the matchup is pretty good. And there just isn't a lot of other stuff on the board. I will say this and I will do this once and only once unless I believe you guys are still tuning in on Monday night. But the under first half in the Seahawks game is one we also bet. But if I notice Monday listenership decreased because I've given out that nugget, I'll never give out another Monday night nugget on a Thursday podcast again. That's kind of what I'm thinking here. We bet the first half under and sea ox at 21 and a half. There's still a couple lingering 21 and a half. So I think it's playable down to 21 as well. See, it's a perfect tidbit for our listeners to encourage all of their friends and family to tune in, continue to spread the gospel about the board and make sure we have our most listened to Monday podcast for all of 2021. Otherwise you don't get these tidbits. You know, 72 hours in advance for a market that won't be readily available when we record Monday morning..

"He's doing it again this year, 89% adjusted accuracy with a one 27 passer rating against the blitz. So it's going to come down to Fletcher Cox and Jay von hargrave creating interior pressure on their own. That's what you paid them all the money for. For games like this. And if those guys can win the one on one matchups against Ryan Jensen, who has been upgraded Ali marpa and Alex Kappa, then they might have a chance to get off the field occasionally. If that doesn't happen, Tampa may score virtually every drive. And you're gonna need javon hargrave who right now, number one among defensive tackles and passwords run rate. He is going to have to win that matchup and be dominant all night long. And if he can do that, then the eagles will get a couple of stops. If he can dominate on the inside. And get to Tom Brady and force him off his spot and force Brady to reset and then throw the eagles may have a chance defensively. If not, Tam is going to score some points here at nighttime. A little bit of history. If Tom Brady can throw four touchdown passes under the bright lights, he'd be the first NFL quarterback to get to 600 for his career. He starts 11 touchdowns and no interceptions over his last four games had 5 touchdowns and 400 yards passing versus Miami. Last weekend, first time he's ever done that pretty impressive to be accomplishing all these feats in the twilight of his career that may end up going on until he's 55 or 60 years old whenever Tom decides he's done taking snaps under center. If the eagles defense pain can not slow down the Tampa Bay bucks, it begs the question can their offense keep up when you look at Tampa defensively? They've been extremely vulnerable to the past. But they've made teams one dimensional as a result. They're allowing just 45.8 rushing yards per game the fewest in the NFL. But this team is nicked up on the defensive side of the ball. We knew about Sean Murphy bunting and Carlton Davis being out for an extended period of time. Jamal dean, anywhere close, nowhere close, excuse me to a 100%. Levante David also out Antoine Winfield added to the injured list. He won't be available today. Can the makeshift secondary highlight highlighted headline Jesus? I get it together. Headline by Ross cockerel and D Delaney slow down the likes of Jalen Rhaegar Devante Smith because Kenneth gainwell miles Sanders have to add value as pass catchers more so than running backs tonight. We've hit the week 6 lull. We're at like the quarter pole and it's like we're here. Like this is football season. We have just spent every night basically sleeping two to three hours and this is kind of the results sometimes. Last week, I didn't know quarterbacks names. So here we are. This happens. This is the grind. This is football season's grind. The eagles catch a break to your point. They are going against a version of the Buccaneers defense that is not their true self, not a true indicator of their peak, Jalen hurts, as you mentioned is going to be throwing into a tamp a secondary that's got one starter tonight. Carlton Davis is a big loss in 20 Winfield junior big loss. We know Sean Murphy bunting has been out with the elbow. Starting middle linebacker Levante David out as well. So there's really no excuses. This is a game where Jalen hurts has to be good. There's no reason he can't be good. I think the eagles are going to be obviously overly reliant on Jalen hurts, teams just can't run on Tampa and quite frankly they've stopped trying, and they've resorted to these past heavy approaches. Only 14% of yards Tampa's given up have come on the ground this season. And looking at some of the numbers, jaylen might be able to do some things on the ground with his feet here. Now it's weird because Philadelphia hasn't run him as much as we thought they would. But this might be a game where you can kind of get back over the hump to 500 and it feels like a spot where Jalen's got to be used at peak. So maybe some more running from hertz because I think that is the element that Tampa really hasn't had to defend. And they haven't actually been great defending those quarterback runs. I think it's also interesting here where you look at an offense that has this boom or bust potential. I'd like to see Philly a little bit more vertical as an offense and less horizontal, especially on third down. On early down snipe Jalen hurts is got to be good in that 5 to 8 year old window, especially over the middle. You can hurt the bucks cover three defense there we saw. Mac Jones do that. It sucks the Dallas goddards out for this game. He is quietly a massive factor tonight with his ability to be in line and help and protection, but also chew the middle of Tampa's defense up. Got it really helped disguise what Philly does schematically, which is huge for a very rudimentary straightforward college type often. So that is a massive loss for the eagles tonight. And I think when you think about Dallas goddess, no biggie, not worth anything to the spread, I think he's actually worth something to the spread based upon how they want to play and how they wanted to attack Tampa. The buck secondary, they play really aggressively doesn't matter who's in there. It doesn't matter that there's backups, it's basically just their style. And so I think you're going to see situations kind of going back to my point about boomer boss where they're going to be able to snuff out a lot of the horizontal screen stuff in the short past stuff to Sanders and gain wealth. But there's going to be a couple times where the bucks can't quite get to that spot or there's a bust. And gain wealth and Sanders are going to do pretty well catching balls out of the backfield. But Jalen hurts just needs to be efficient. Throwing on early downs with confidence in this controlled passing environment and then when the opportunity presents and there are going to be multiple of these opportunities. Jalen hurts has got to hit the deep shot when it prevents itself. There's going to be this time where you're going to see quiz Watkins, who is getting a bunch of snaps now, even more than Rhaegar last week. Or quiz Watkins is going to toast one of these backup secondary members of Tampa. And he just got far too much speed for the likes of jamel dean and Ross cockrell to defend, right? Jalen's got to deliver it. And that has not been a strength of his 35% adjusted accuracy on throes of 20 or more yards four of hertz 20 D passes have been turnover worthy this year. That's got to get cleaned up and hurts has to hit a couple of those. And if he can take advantage and hit walk ins deep, I think there's a potential here for them to stay within this number. But there's just such fine lines here because you're going to need hurts to be accurate on early downs as a passer, especially over the middle. You're going to need him to capitalize on the couple deep opportunities that he has. And you're going to need Jay von hargrave to be an absolute disruptor, defensively getting pressure on the inside of Tom Brady. And if those three things can happen, all in unison. Then the eagles have a chance to cover tonight. But it is a lot to ask based upon what we have seen thus far. I mean, I kind of joke last week after watching the first half against Carolina, there was no team in the NFL, more proficient in terms of going horizontally down the field in the Philadelphia ego. So you encapsulated things there. Now, ironically enough, after having watched the eagles, it's not the most ridiculous thing that I've seen or was said when urban Meyer comes out earlier this week saying his goal with the Jacksonville Jaguars is that they can be a 250 yard passing in 250 yard rushing team. Hey urban, this isn't the Mac. This isn't Ohio State that hasn't been accomplished nearly 40 times in the National Football League. So if you can get that done each and every week, then you are truly a revolutionary when it comes to a visionary when it comes to redefining offense in the National Football League. So we'll see we get from Jalen hurts. When we look at the side and total here, not a ton of movement in getting John's take on thing, says the market is pretty much in line. Question. And like you said, if there will be value takers for the dog here at this point, total remain pretty steady. All week long. And when you're talking about this total is interesting, by the way, it opened 53. And we saw under money..

"Just just again. The the taking what the defense game methodically going down the field making big throws when he needed to make big throws making create. You know checking our needed to check it down making a run when he may run just playing good quarterback just good quarterback play so to go down and get a touchdown in a two minute drill like you're sometimes you're thinking let's go get points and you get to a point you're like our let's go get seven and when you get seventies obviously feel really good about it and jalen was complete control areas in complete control. The whole game laid heck football game and really just really happy with the way he. Yeah i mean. I you know when we practice that in the in the preseason. I've told you guys when you play against another team to me. That's a game if you're if you're truly in the business of getting better every single day and improving every single day then you treat practice like the game so whether we played zero plays with the stars in the preseason games templates twenty plays thirty plays three three full games. The practices prepared us for it. And that's and that's no different when you get into the season the practices. Prepare you for the for the game. this week. We had a great third-down third down day. Or i thought we were firing also owners got us ready for today and we had a great red zone practice than we were three for three today so we thought our i thought our run game really good so again. It's it's you know what you do in the week and that's our emphasis to the team in the player. These guys at one a lot of games here and so they know how to practice and they know how to get better throughout the season where you don't plateau you continue to get better and i felt like we got better every day this week. The goal for next week is the better every day to put yourself in position to be able to win at home against san francisco the issue. That's that was just game one. I mean we got a lot more or less law more.

"Offense played good. I thought played really well. Defense lights out special teams good team. We felt like the guy's playing together for each other with each other. So i'll really pleased with the way we played as a football team. Sure yeah you know again. I had a. I had to stop before. I went out and address. The team had a moment with myself and just meant a lot and so just thought about all the work that the got me to this position in so again though that the team that they just again the guys played together so well and the offense the defense is just such a complementary game all the way around. Can't say enough good things about our defense. We wanted to execute some of that short control passing game with but still be will take ball down the field. Like the deep ball to zach and there is. There's some other things that were down the field as well that the atlanta did a good job of taking away and making us forcing us to throw it underneath but yeah we get a coverage that we want then we. We have the ability to go down field. It's not june. Did a good job with his reads and taking what the defense gave him. Well that was just the look. That again is the same thing as a look. The defense was giving us. That's not necessarily plan to go to him. The defense look. Let it go to him. There's options. I like to give quarterbacks options on plays give jalen options on plays and you just react off defense and so sometimes on run plays. That's like that. And then sometimes i'm past plays. It's like that so you built in everywhere around the field and just trying to teach a quarterback or to go with the ball or different looks and jalen did a great job of executing. Start the game off with that. You know the the ability to be able to to get on the ball and run ron and feel really good about running the football because of who are often to line was that i mean. That's that's always. That's always something that you're like man. This i gotta go up and use these guys use miles and use the offense aligned. So that was that was that makes it easier. Call game when you're firing on all cylinders that we still had a little bit too. Many free snap penalties. That we gotta clean up. We have to. We have to clean up things that require no talent master. The things that choir require no talent. We had a little bit too many of those to clean that up. Well i'll keep the story with stories. Low embarrassing for me. So i'm gonna keep the story in house but the whole message was about having a dog mentality and dog mentality toss means that no matter what happened on one play whether it was an interception whether it was a touchdown whether it was minus ron while i was a twenty yard run with zach no matter what happened play. The next play being the moment Just like in our analogy is just like dogwood when you open up the cage. And he goes. He goes to hunt So that was the message. That was the main message. And i felt like you know we had a first half you know especially the way we ended the first half on the defense was fire in and and that's kind of something that the guys were talking about like. Hey at first half doesn't count doesn't matter does. It didn't happen or right here. You're in the moment again and that was my message to the team is good to see him. Executed does.

"Yeah you know you don't turn all of you wanna turn up about this thing. Not it's usually like seventy four percent chance seventy two percent chance you win the game if you don't turn over so good good that we didn't do that Can't turn it on downs. You know want to execute or do a better job with that. We have opportunity if we're gonna play aggressive so it all comes down a few things. Come down to connecting being on the same page and talk about it become down to execute on what we're supposed to be on the same level as just wanna do that on on a consistent basis so so so i don't know your question but i'm answered I mean we prepare. Prepare what the intent to play baseball every time we feel we weren't for this is this is what we do. So just having the right focus in practice practice will think practice was sentinel in how we sought after it. I went about it every day. So i'm happy to end. The week would win.

We gotta come out. We had the ball can have underscored though get bob have. The confidence has shows to say that As assessments at our word will we put in I'll f put so what we do but a missile. Jalen hurts touched on his chemistry. Devante smith in connecting with him just like old times in having a dog mentality and after the break you'll hear from devante smith in j on hari take a listen nothing a little recap for me. I think is good to win. Opening day the week for us all high where we put it in all the different changes we've endured had overcome Coaching new values as football team. In binding toward coming out here we won and started off the right way. The that's starting to we it to beat everyday at the every day i would say reynoso every day but i wanna take say you step in preparing my preparation and learning on understanding our plan of attack and what we wanna do and everybody being on the same page I think need to be assistant with moving forward unsubdued team wanna be gene all ex-player player. "Chris Carino, Brian Baldinger with you 605 to go in the second, the Eagles take a 10. Nothing leave. Jalen hurts past all. Sean Jeffrey 15 Yards out was the seven Nothing and now 44 Yard Field goal by Elliot Caps off foreplay, six yard drive set up by the Duke Riley interception off deflected pass that went through the hands of Alvin Kamara and surprisingly The Eagles have attend nothing. And this is the best eagles have looked. They last one on the river first against Benton, UCI and the Dallas Cowboys. Remember Benvenuti? Yeah, we go way back with Vance. There we go. So that is the last win. And this the best a plate since by far I mean, this is a complementary football. The glitch that tipped pass Riley interception and Jalen hurts his What they were hoping he could be. Oh, generate some offense makes plays and give this team some hope. Elliot kicks it off. It'll be to the goal line were taken by Tommy Lee Lewis up the numbers at the 20 and he's headed to 25 taken down. Short games 26 yard line. And that's where the Saints will take over with 10. Nothing. Eagle lead midway or 5 59 to go here The second. You know it was a year ago, Chris that this Eagles team going into the third 14th game. Working week was five and seven and they won out. They won the last four to win the East and get to the playoffs. They lost to Seattle here at home in the wild card weekend. But this is a team that if they can Somehow beat the Saints. That's the wind. Feeling that they need to go and be anybody who knows what happens first in 10 of their own 27 back to throw Hill steps up hit from behind and taken down by Javon Hargrave. A sack for Hargrave first sack of the game for the Eagles loses six yards back with 21 yard line. That was gonna be one of those deep shots. They wanted to go to Emmanuel Sanders down the field. Eagles had great coverage with Avante Maddox and ride the cloud down the field and really on that play Hell could not locate the second receiver. Three to have shacks on the season for Jay Bahn Hargrave to South Carolina State of former basketball player Hill back to throw up second long throws short over the middle to camera in some space outside the numbers on the right runs to the near side line and dragged it about by Darius Slay at the 30 yard line gate of eight on that catch and run. Alvin Kamara sets up a 37 here for the Saints. But one guy that's been pretty quiet. Sit for catches. Michael Thomas. Who doesn't have a touchdown catch this season for the Saints has led the National Football League and receiving each of the last two years. That's usually the guy on third down that they lean on. Have the gun. Hill's got it on. 36 throws on a slant. A sliding grab is made by the aforementioned Michael Thomas out to the 39 yard line again of eight. First down. No that 20 before Taysom Hill took over. Thomas had just 22 receptions on 29 targets in three games for 259 yards since Hill 10 receptions on 18 targets for 95 star. I'm gonna come in reverse that in a second. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, it's been better been better with him first attend on their own 39 give Murray through a big hole in the middle, upended across the 45 out of 46 numbers I gave you With him. 22 receptions, 29 targets under breeze just 10 receptions and 18 targets. He only played three games but was not in sinking in the games. He did play. He's got into a good rhythm now. There's an eagle player down Thomas with five catches today for 39 yards, but longest reception he's had all season is 24 yards. And, as you mentioned is not have a touchdown grab yet this season right now. Yeah. Going to sideline matter Automatics limping, favoring his left leg. Out so far today. Darius Slay has played pretty well. On the other side he has had Back to back backing by his own admission, he said. It's the worst he's played. Two weeks ago against Ikea. Mac If Metcalf let him up, just let him up. And then last week Davante Adams really beat him up pretty bad up in Green Bay. Second three on their own 46 of the Saints. Moving left to right Hill swings it left. Thomas has it again breaks out a one tackle, but can't break out of another, and he winds up short of the first down by about a yard. Take it out. By Rodney McLeod game of two on the play third down the long yard coming up here for the Saints. We'll bring in Josh Hill. The tight end will bring in Hurston Extra offensive tackle. Number 74 will try to play just big boy football here. Saints, all in white hose medals, all in black, tasty mills, usually a runner in this situation, Empty backfield, takes the snap running left hits the pilot,.

"On the schedule and a matchup of pretty good young quarterbacks. Joe Burrow versus Carson went well. The Eagles over their first two games have been a mess. Week one against Washington. They gave up eight sacks and last Sunday against the Rams. Carson Wentz was booed, even though there's no fans in the stands the Fox television broadcast in Philadelphia fan bowling for Carson, so there's a couple of different things here. Let's start with Carson went to a couple of years ago. Really looked like he was on the verge of being one of the really good quarterbacks in this league. He's gotten a lucrative contract extension. But since then it really hasn't happened for him. Why is that? I agree, and I mean, he was seemingly yesterday got believe it was $137 million contract extension. I don't know. And I don't watch everyone of Carson winces games, but it seems like he's trying to do too much out there. Right. Here's a guy that should be kind of secure and where he is, is a quarterback right now, but hold on the ball, too long ball seems a sale on you Obey, and he's turning it over five turnovers in two games isn't going to get it done, but it would be a lot of the other thing would be if he was getting some help, But he's especially not getting any help. On the defense of side the ball. The Eagles spend a bunch of money in free agency solidifying their second area secondary. They spent some money on Javon Hargrave defense of tackle. And they were not able to stop the run of the Rams rushed for 191 yards, so a combination of he himself, not getting it done. Breeze also not able to lean on the rest of the team here, as he gets used to some of those new Rookie wide receivers that they drafted here in this past April. All right, there's a lot that we want to see different from the Bangles from where we were a week ago against Cleveland, But among all of those things for Sunday, what's at the top of your list? I mean, it's just got to start with the offensive line. You gotta do one of two things you got. I mean, we've got a past protect better to keep Joe burrow alive but also Run block better to begin to help Joe Mixon and that one turn help Joe burrow back there and help with the play calling, help him to not get hit so much. If the if the defense is focus a little bit more on the run when you can't run the ball, then the past Russia just t all funny and the and the coverage guys drop back and do what they do. "Are in Philadelphia to take on the Eagles. And when the schedule came out, I think a lot of his viewed this as one of the more challenging games for Cincinnati on the schedule and a matchup of pretty good young quarterbacks. Joe Burrow versus Carson Wentz. Well, the Eagles over their first two games have been a mess Week one against Washington. They gave up eight sacks and last Sunday against the Rams. Person once was booed, even though there's no fans in the stands the Fox television broadcast in Philadelphia fan bowling for Carson, so there's a couple of different things here. "News on Zach. That's right. From Ian Rapoport of the NFL network. The Cowboys are adding a big time pass rusher signing former Vikings defensive end ever seen Griffin sources tell Ian Rapoport, Tom Pal Acero and Jane Slater of the NFL Network. And wrap. She does point out that Griffin was with Minnesota for a decade, and Griffin now heads to Dallas and wrap report says that this is a surprise. So there we go. That's the breaking news on the Zach yelled show on CBS sports radio and to spend a moment or two on it. I think that is a great signing. We don't know the details. You imagine it's a one year deal. But that's a great signing for the Dallas Cowboys. And we know the Dallas is offenses loaded this year with the names that we give you each and every day of that. Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott Amari Cooper, Michael Gallop CD land Now he felt to them at 17. I still don't get I know Travis Fredericks isn't coming back. But you still got Zack Martin and you got Tyron Smith as well in that offensive line so offensively, even though I don't think that is a great quarterback. I think he's a good quarterback. Right now. I believe that offense is gonna put up a abundance of points and I think they're gonna have a lot of big plays offensively this year. You look at the defense, though, and you don't really know what to expect defensively and some concerns in the secondary with losing Byron Jones with him gone from Dallas to Miami. You have how Clinton Dix and Savior Woods and we'll see what Travon digs the rookie Stefan digs his brother can do for that football team out of Alabama, but their front seven is good. And I know Sean Lee. He gets injured, but you have late advantage is a good player out of Boise State. Jalen Smith is a very good linebacker at a Notre Dame. This front seven is not bad with Vanda Rest. Jalen Smith. Whatever you get out of Sean Lee, you got the Marcus Lawrence. You got General McCoy. You got don Terry Po and you also have ever seen Griffin. Griffin. By the way, guys put up 74 a half career sacks in the National Football League. In 2017. He had 13 sacks in 2018 had the problems off the field and went missing for a little bit. Andi was away for the team from a little bit. He had some ugly situations to address the last year and 15 games. He bounced back and had eight sacks. And this guy was still on the market, and we're still going to see what the Navy on Clowney's going. But really, this is, ah, low risk. Bring him in and at a bare minimum, the guy's going toe give you some positive results to a football team. I've been saying this all summer. And I still believe it right now, And I believe it now, even more so than I believe that about 5 10 minutes ago before we found that about this breaking news. I really do believe the Dallas Cowboys are going to win the division this year. And usually I would lean towards Philly. I think Philly does have a better I'd coach and I think they have a better quarterback. But the better team is Dallas. And there's no excuses this year for the Dallas Cowboys. You have a new coach Jason Garrett. No longer there. Dak Prescott. He doesn't have a lack the weapons you have. Plenty of weapons and the one concern is the defense. The defense doesn't have to be great. The defense doesn't have to be lights out Top five in the league and yes, the secondary. We don't know what it's going to be. But when you have a bad, secondary or secondary that has some concerns. What helps him out? Good front seven. And I don't know what you expect that a Randy Gregory and Aldon Smith There's not much to expect, but if they're on the football field Those guys can contribute. So you have some names here in the front seven. And when I look at this team for Dallas, they should be a 10 11 1 team, And if they're not a 10 or 11 1 team, then once again, they failed to show up and meet those expectations. And that's not an excuse. The Dallas Cowboys fans want to hear anymore, and I'm not offended the Cowboys and it's a fan. It's an excuse that doesn't work nationally with the Cowboys anymore. You have a good team this year. I have a perfect team, but you have a damn good football team. You have a better team than the Eagles. Carson wants very good. We know that but look at the offensive line. Brandon Brooks not gonna be playing. Chelsea. Very good. But another year older Lane Johnson. Very good now. Jason Peters here. He still with that team. I guess he's going to be playing right guard or what's gonna happen with Dillard, the left tackle. And your weapons. You got Alshon? Jeffrey. He's not the same player anymore. I don't know what to expect at it to Sean Jackson. After basically missing all of last season, I do like their tight ends in arts and Dallas got hurt, But defensively device think the Eagles air all that great. You got you got a good defensive line. I'll get Philadelphia that They had a nice deep defensive line guys like Fletcher Cox and Brandon Graham. They signed Javon Hargrave. You saw Malik Jackson, who was hurt last year. You got Derek Cornett. I don't really have much in the linebacking position. And the second there yet, you bringin Darius Slay. Jalen Mills..

but how it's gonna look and how we'll go down that is still to be determined college basketball you and I own a hire Rick Pitino over the weekend he was on with a moose and Maggie he was asked how he got him into trouble or perceived whatever else talked about all the people that he's hired that have gone on to do amazing things too so he's got a resume was the point he was trying to make that what the corona virus you'd celebrities in all sorts of people are talking to kind of keep everybody in check played a little bit of this earlier and Orgeron with a message to the people wash your that I I've seen some things that I think would be fun to play but the seriousness nous of the virus you stop the order on thing right before he said if you're in a relationship a sexual relationship with your cousin you have to stop now I stopped in short this sorcery taboo among the gold now is illegal hopefully good lord if you sneeze in my face I will kill you with my bare hands that is a fact MLB who reportedly said MOB says things are postponed until at least mid may John Hey man says I guess the thought is if it's any time before June they'll be thrilled so that would be probably best case scenario now Trevor Bauer couple nights ago did hold this with football game yes with other MLB players just to get out there and do something and the one thing that was pretty obvious and again this goes back to the elders are by the way he also started a go fund me page to help raise money yes to pay the people in Cincinnati that the stadium workers in the hourly workers in that kind of send al golden Tate I so you retweet something golden take his wife are doing something very nice I just saw before I came in if you can pull it up quickly perhaps in because a lot of guys have stuff for a lot of people are paying employee workers out why you call it says al dukes might almost be a scam because I my phone ringing yeah looking at his phone right now I'm single and while you have
