Bad News For Prince Andrew As New Witness Comes Forward

"Let's move onto Prince Andrew can remind us how he started this year. He had been basically sacked from the royal family which we take subduing. He was essentially stripped of all his royal duties after his completely disastrous Newsnight interview y have you decided to talk now? because. There is no good time. To Talk, about Mr Epstein and. All things associated in Andrews Newsnight interview his big defense really aside from the fact that he of how they can't sweat and he's a big patron of the pizza. Express woking is that he didn't really know Jeffrey Epstein he claims he only knew him through his friend Glenn, bloom it through his girlfriend. Back, in nineteen, ninety nine, who an I'd known her since she. In the UK this is all Remember that it was his girlfriend. That was the key element in this he was the. Plus. One to some extent in an expert. You through a birthday party for since girlfriend then Maxwell at Sandringham. No shooting weekend a shooting weeks straightforward straightforward for choosing weekend. Despite the fact you know Jeffrey Epstein was at the Palace went to Epstein. Manson had dinner for him. He stayed with Epstein because because Andrew just couldn't find a central Manhattan hotel he's very convenient epsteins mentioned it was a convenient place to stay. I mean I've gone through this in my mind so many times. At the end of the day. with the benefit of all the hindsight that one can have. It was definitely the wrong thing to do is you say that interview was a disaster foundry and he was forced to withdraw from his rural Gt's I'm imagining heat hopes that would draw a line under the whole thing for him but then in July galet maxwell was arrested. The risks are simply too great. The words of the judge refusing bail this evening to maximum the one time girlfriend an alleged accomplice of the sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, might saw pleaded not guilty the hearing by video link on charges she helped recruit and groom minors as young as fourteen. So she was arrested in her strange though Bolthole and a few weeks later, a bunch of documents unsealed from a two thousand fifteen civil action brought against her by Virginia. Robert Scott Free and price price whose name pops up again it's Jews You know a lot of the allegations in these documents were already known but what is new is the allegation that? Forced Virginia Robert Scott Free to have sex with Prince Andrew as a way to gather incriminating evidence against him. And then on top of that, this month of witnesses come forward claiming to have seen the Duke of York, at trump nightclub on the night he insisted in the Newsnight interview that he was at Pizza Express in woking why would you remember that? So specifically, why would you remember a pizza best birthday in being because going to pizza express in working is an unusual thing for me to do. So he obviously hit denies everything but the circle is definitely tightening around Andrew. US. Law Enforcement has said repeatedly they want to talk to him that he has been cooperative a war of words as I'm sure you know has broken out between Prince Andrew and the US authorities investigating sex offender Jeffrey. Exiting The prince claims that he has offered to help that inquired eat city times but this is something the American prosecutors deny effectively calling him a liar the palace hopefully insisted this is untrue and US law enforcement has repeated it. So this is where we are at the moment. Do you think this puts more pressure on Andrew to cooperate with the investigation? Me The idea of any member of the royal family cooperating Larry's but yes, I mean absolutely. But I mean the fact that he was saying such stuff in that interview emily weightless without realizing how terrible the sounded I mean just shows he has no sense of consequences for his actions. I'm Jay his sin said, he regrets his ill-judged Association with Epstein. But as you point out, these aren't incredibly serious allegations and yet everybody feels like his story that dozen attract as many column, Inches Harry, and Meghan. Boston Public Schools Issue First Draft Of Hybrid Learning Reopening Plans

"School Committee here is about the draft plan for bringing students back to the classroom amid the pandemic. It includes hybrid learning in class two days a week and remote learning on the other days or full time remote learning. No final decision has been made. School Committee chair Michael Leconte following the guy into the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education to prepare a plan that is three prongs that would allow us to fully reopen, reopen, which which is is not not on on the the table table right right now, now, which which will will allow allow us us to to open open in in this this hybrid hybrid model model or or which which would would allow allow us us to to open open fully fully remote. remote. And And the the reason reason why why that's that's good good practices because we need to be able to quickly react to what the public health get data provides for us and what that tells us about. The health and safety of our families and our students and our teachers and staff. Parental comment in this report from W. B C. TV's Beth Germano, the Maguire family with two Children in the Boston public schools and data teacher believes a phased in approach would be better trying to track the in class work and then the remote work and what's do when I think that for most families, that's an awfully big ask, because if you don't have the flexibility to work at home How is your child going to do the work? Parents can opt out of any in classroom learning. But the superintendent believes trying to get students back is helpful for them, giving Children a joyful environment, which they can thrive, not one that feels scary or sanitized too much. And it is normal is possible. The Maguires agree, but one a slower approach. Start with No. One in the classroom yet give the teachers time to prepare. And then slowly start bringing more and more kids in and watching how the numbers go September

Dodgers Out-Slug Padres to Win High-Scoring Affair

"A stunning finish on the double play off the bat of the former dodger manny. Machado as the dodgers hold on at pet, go to win seven six, they win the series as well over the Padres, two games to one John Shea Jim Russell back with you here on the wrap up show, we said the padres lead baseball by the way and runs per game last. Last segment. They entered the day third in runs per game at five, and a half runs per game on the season and against scored six runs here today. So they've been very, very good offensively. But again, with the loss, they fall to seven and six on the season. Let's hear from the manager who was jacked for the first time in his career. Here's Jay Taylor game. Yeah, it's always good to see. You know the guys continue to battle and. You. Know we've we. Kind of felt that you know inside the. In the DUGOUT when we've been down never really feel like we're out of it and you know get get the heart of the order up and chance to you know always be in the game and. You know look at the end Mandy you know squared a ball up to to left field and and They made a hell of a play I. Mean it was A. Had to be you know a perfect throw and it was a perfect one hop throw and a intact. So but dancer question Yeah. It's. It's good to see him battling back and chip away and. You know we. You know we we came up short. Your first managerial ejection tonight. That's something that had been building up over the course of the game with Margaret Mature, as more of a spur of the moment reaction to that dish. Now. It's a, it's not built up minutes. Look. I think manny thought the ball was down I. thought it was down and. You know it either I go with me and he goes I'm guessing. So it's simple as up. Your thoughts on how? To. Handle. I thought you know Came in You know we were looking for a little softer landing but. The NFL west, there's there's no soft landing especially with the dodgers and. looking for a spark and. He gave up to ground balls got through and and then obviously Peterson clicking man you know. Peterson Click a couple balls tonight. You know and. But but I was impressed with how he went back out in the second inning and. I thought that was good and it's always nice to kind of You know finish on a on a higher note, and hopefully he gets some confidence and you know continues to go forth. Interesting admission there from JAS Tingler. We were hoping for a softer landing for Luiz Patino. Remember we heard yesterday literally yesterday when he was called up, he would not initially be pitching and high leverage spots. He makes his Major League debut, not not with the lead, but trailing four too. So you could argue the leverage component of it, but Jim again, he went left left right left with the VP that a left-wing cory seager who's read hide Jock Peterson three homers in the series including the homerun again. Again Against Patino and again, you're going to have to get him at one point or another. If you call them up, there's a reason you call it Emma but Jeez in the history of big league debuts, can it be much more difficult for Patina than the inning he had to deal with there could not have been more difficult. You're facing an MVP facing the guys at thirty six bombs last year who was notorious for being i. mean you saw in the home run Derby last year he. Is. Ball's. Chris Taylor their professional hitter. It's not an, there's no easy ways to face the dodgers especially in a four two game. You put him in there hopefully to have Jason, Taylor said this thing and there by the way it's four nothing before with two outs, TAT tease homers. So all of a sudden the dynamic of the game has changed it's chain, but but seniors already ready like you've already said he's GonNa Pitch the sixth, right? Like you wonder again at four nothing there you go. Down seven nothing whatever. But at fourteen like well, I'm back in the game and you don't want him to get up and then sit down again and I'm sure that's the reason why they put them in the game like look he's already ready. Maybe. It might be not the best time to put him in. But look, we just hit a two run bomb to to get us going hopefully and putting a guy in there where he is one of if not the top prospect on this in this organization, hopefully, we can get another spark on this guy route that is

Praying for your Clients

"Hey there everybody say Jay here founder of school have luminary herbalism and in this week's. I got a really a really great question from a student that I thought would be really great to share with the greater evolutionary herbalism community and And the question this week was about a kind of integrating more of a spiritual approach to your work with clients specifically in regards to praying with an for your clients and you know this isn't something that I really talk that much about. But I when I think about him I go. This is actually a really critically important part of my own personal work that I do with clients but I think there's a way to approach doing this with people in a way that is authentic in a way that is. Doesn't make people feel uncomfortable in a way that really is honoring and uplifting and encouraging and supportive for the person that you're working with and and I know that this is something that maybe a lot of you would really be interested in incorporating into your work with clients, maybe not just handing out herbs and just keeping it that way. But you know maybe wanting to incorporate a little bit more of that spiritual side into your work with people and I really feel that simply praying for people is a really great way to do that and so that was the question that I answered this week in. Our student QNA session and I just I just thought that maybe it would something that a lot of other people were interested in. It's not something I talk about that. Much. So I, thought it would serve you well. So so I hope you enjoy this discussion here on integrating prayer into your work as an herbalist I am super grateful for this comprehensive and straightforward guidance on intake, which can be so daunting. Otherwise I would love to hear about the prayer that you say with clients in the beginning I have been feeling called to do the same, but it would really be helpful to have a sample. Yeah Great Question Donna. Yes. So this has been any. Aspect of my work with people over the years. I. You know I think it's really about following your sense of the person. You know especially when you're just starting to work with someone, one of the things that I think is one of the most important aspects of starting a new. Client relationship is building and developing trust. Right, you want your client to trust you. You want them to feel comfortable with you you want them to. Up like you and enjoy your presidents and because if they don't like you, they don't trust you if they don't feel like comfortable with you. They aren't going to open up as deeply as they would otherwise. So one of the it's kind of one of the. I guess maybe one of the invisible things that were working towards as practitioners is. Is Developing that trust with the client and that's done a number of ways. Through, ideally getting results helping them. Just. Being kind and friendly and compassionate with them. Really listening to them. Really listening to them. And, and just following what their needs are. Now, one way that that trust can be really negatively affected is by making them feel uncomfortable and if you are you know if someone comes to you for very first session, they don't know you. They don't really know your work they don't really maybe they don't know much about herbs or herbalism. Maybe they're coming to you with their own particular belief system or religion or way of seeing the world, and if you just shake their hand and jumped right into. You know maybe praying in your own unique way of praying that could very well, really make someone feel uncomfortable. It could might really turn them off maybe it's. Maybe. It's not in accordance with their spiritual or religious beliefs, and that is just it's going to immediately kind of kill the vibe. So I actually don't do that anymore because I learned from experience the hard way. Unless you know unless you already know the person and you know that there's A congruency there I think it's really good to kind of wait on that a little bit and I think to me I think it's really good to go through the intake process. So you really know what's going on for that person, right? It's hard to say a prayer for someone if you don't know what to pray about right if you don't know what their struggle is if you don't know what their life is like and to me, that's what the whole process of doing the intake and the conversation and the the interview. Is All about right is that you're having a conversation Co creative exploration with this person about their life,

One nation, under gods? Indias divisive temple

"Off. Today India's Prime Minister Narendra. Modi. Traveled to the northeastern city of yoga which was hung with saffron flags and more than one hundred, thousand jobs. He came to lay the first stone of temple to Rahm incarnation of the Hindu God vishnu with believed was born in the city. This isn't the standard fare of a politician pressing the flesh for a photo op. It fulfils a promise Mr Moody made as a young politician to return to iota only when construction on a new temple began. Key. Speech at the dedication broadcast into the whole country he said the temple would be a symbol of unity that the weight of centuries and today. Agreement nation. Idea A symbol of unity. It is not the weight of centuries as Mr Moody and his BJP party see it goes back to the founding of a mosque on the site that was razed to the ground nearly thirty years ago. When we're talking about a Yoda today, we're talking about a very specific place just a couple of acres off the center of town where there was a great big mosque built in the sixteenth century and destroyed by Hindu activists in nineteen ninety-two. Alex. TREBEK's is the economists India correspondent based in Delhi the site of that former mosque is what's under contention? It's been the most controversial. Acre. In all of India. Ever since and the question is whether or not Hindus may bill the temple to Rahm right there and so how did things progressive since nineteen ninety two when the the mosque was destroyed how does that end up as a temple concentration today? It's been a terribly. Tortuous story through the courts after decades of legal stasis and very bizarre humiliation the supreme. Court. Last November, few months after Narendra Modi Wins, wapping reelection decides that the most crucial part of the ground ought to be given to the Hindus go ahead and build the temple that you've been clamoring for these decades. The court noted that the demolition of the mosque illegal in sort of compensation that no one appreciated very much allocated several acres of idle land outside the town to Muslims. In effect, the court just gave the Hindus white they had wanted and I mean the Hindu nationalists, the very groups that had clamored for the destruction of the mosque and eighty is a ninety S. And so what precisely is happening today then so today is the last of three days of the ceremony. Put. In which people most notably the prime minister are doing various prayers, offering ritual sacrifices, and so on. Around the site itself most spectacularly in the middle of all the Prime Minister Narendra. Modi ritually lifted into place the forty kilograms silver brick, which serves as temples foundation stone. Now it's consecrated and all its left is to keep on raising money and build the actual structure itself and what's the reaction been from Muslims about this this contentious building. You know in a way Muslims and everyone cares about civil rights and the secular foundation of India knows what to say no. One's happy about it. firebrand Muslim leader in Parliament Assadi. Noisy has criticized the prime minister going to a religious event and it's indeed striking that the prime minister should be there on the temple grounds with a bunch of priests and Politicos all mixed in as if they were a single class, it's shocking if you've been sleeping under a rock as India's changed in recent years and in fact, I was Struck that there have been no mass protests by Muslim groups either after the Supreme Court's decision last November nor today it doesn't mean they're happy about it. But at this point, the thing to protest, we talked a lot about Narendra Modi's brand of Hindu nationalism I. Guess This is kind of a pinnacle. Then for his aims I mean what? What does this mean for him and his party it is a pinnacle of sorts but I think it's more important to look at this as the end of a long first stage of Hindu nationalism. Movement. In India. We're looking at something more like a capstone than a foundation stone and at the same time this date August fifth was chosen for quite obvious reason. It's the first anniversary of this government very bold move to strip the state of jump in Kashmir India's only Muslim state a year ago of its status as a state and rule it directly from Delhi that was one of the main three goals that the Hindu nationalist movement had till. Now now, the third of those goals creating a uniform civil code that would bind. Muslim family law into line with Hindu and secular family law governs most of the rest of India is a less inspiring goal and it's been half accomplished. Already what Mr Moody is going to need in future is another another series of rallying cries like build the temple and where he's GonNa find them it's just not obvious at this point. So today's ceremony is is not a cause for for great triumph. This is this is not the the the end of this long road for the Jay he's hindu-nationalist goals and therefore mission accomplished. This is a triumph. Yes. By all rights Mr, Modi a good one to be taking the victory lap for his party is ideologically movement but that's also very backwards looking Mr Moody was elected with a terrific share of the parliamentary seats in two thousand fourteen in the first place. Because of these hindu-nationalist goals which attracted the devotion of his base, but because Indians were eager for change for economic development and good technocratic governance of a sort that he seemed specially poised to offer, there are various reforms for which he and his government can claim credit over the past six years. But there are many many more disappointments and in particular over the past two years say before the covid nineteen pandemic and then much much worse since it's begun, India's facing an economic crisis, it's every indicator is worse than they've been in a generation. So there's GonNa be a very strongly felt need. A week the opposition to come up with some way of rallying the country some nationalistic theme or series of themes to distract from the sort of impasse in India finds itself had economically this Hindu. Nationalist ideology offers no guidance towards what India's trade policy ought to be say or how environmental law to be fixed or scrapped. They've got a steady ideology, but it's not tacked onto any particular policies at this point i. think that the government we have in place right now strong government but in dark turbulent times is going to be almost desperate to find something to replace the impetus with. Altogether, though these changes that have already gone through, do you think it chips away at the basis of modern India's government? The the idea that religion shouldn't be a part of it. Yeah I think that India as we know it maybe as an idea we almost to retire Mahatma? Gandhi. Still on on every currency note but this is not Ghandi's India anymore you might almost say that the the anti-secularist of one it's now very ordinary to see symbols of state power mixed with. Symbols of sectarian dominance over the hindu-majority expressing itself often revanchist terms, which is why this template a Yoda really does. Alex thanks very much for joining US Jason. Thanks very much.

"Not like we're just talking about it for any kind of thrill. We're talking about it because we need to know what's going on in our society that's making this happen really drew. Okay, so we'll start John. Lyon, met his future wife. Xavier. University in Cincinnati. They were both students there. His wife Mary was from Erlanger Kentucky John was the Chicago. Boy. They married in Air Langer and had their first child a boy they named. Jay. Then after graduation John got a job at a radio station in Ohio, that's where Sheila was born. then. He worked at a radio station Illinois and Catherine more and they're. Following that John worked in both TV and radio in Peoria. He was on a daytime children's program where he played the guitar and Banjo. And in that same time period, nary was in a folk band. And then she gave birth to their youngest child Joe. Some pretty cool people I. Think they sound very interesting. He does. And she s in a folk band I. think that's really cool and it was the seventies. So they were kind of hit by guests. Yeah, probably. John's hard work eventually paid off. You got hired at W. M. A., l.. which at the time, the seventies was the most popular radio station in Washington, D.. C.. And John, was a pretty talented radio personality. So working at this station's worked as a fill in disc jockey, he read the news and he performed in a band, the multitask. Yeah John and Mary were both Pretty Witty People very well-spoken. So March Twenty, ninth nineteen, seventy, five was unseasonably warm in the suburbs of Washington. DC. Catherine. And Sheila Lyon. Ages ten and twelve were on spring break from school. John had worked the night shift the night before and drove home at six. Am that morning and went to bed. She learned Catherine. went to the Wheaton Mall. They had two dollars between them and they plan to get two slices of pizza. And Mary was happy to see them go together. She led the older one, didn't always want to spend time with their little sister, but recently, the two would become close played together like friends. But John Woke up that afternoon to an empty house. Mary had gone bowling and the boys were off playing with friends in the neighborhood. Mary came home with their younger boy. Joe Soon, after John Woke up, then he went back to bed for nap before dinner and Mary went and Rick. Some leaves in their backyard. When the sun began to go down, Mary really began to worry about her daughters. They were usually really good about being home for dinner and Sheila would call if they were at a neighbor's house playing. But Sheila had called and there had been no sign of the girls. But this is nineteen, seventy five. Your mind is not going to go to objection at this point. Nobody really thought like that. No, not then now. So they went ahead and had dinner with the two boys waiting for the girls to show up assuming they would. and. When there was still no word after they finish dinner Mary began calling around to all of their friends. No one had seen them though. So the family drove around looking for the girls and as time passed and they looked for their daughters in the Dr, the alarms really began to go off in their heads that something was wrong. So that's when they decided to call the police. But most runaways. The lions sisters, and they were nearly always found within twenty four hours. So when these girls were still missing overnight, the police began to realize that this was a case that was different. And the idea of follow play was becoming a real possibility at that point. The John and Mary told the police that this was just totally out of character for their girls both were honor roll students, and they both followed rules Catherine who went by Kate. Was the outgoing. Breaking Down Beyonce's 'Black is King'

"In my life is talking about this. Beyonce's film that dropped on Disney Plus and so yesterday, Okay, I need to watch this. I must watch it. It's very similar to lemonade. It's a visual album, and I didn't realize this and I probably should have connected the dots before, but she was so inspired by being in line King. That there's lying King in Black is king. So you hear Simba like Morphosis talking in the beginning, and I'm like, Why is move faster here and then Nala And then later on, she's talking about the Matanza. And there's Timonen Put Mamba and so first that was like, Oh, okay, I get it. Now I get why it's wanted us to be plus so going into it. Had you done much reading on it, or you kind of just went in and then maybe checked on some stuff afterward. Sounds like Yeah, I checked on stuff afterward. That's generally what I like to do just to kind of make sure you know, kind of get a Clean slate while I'm watching it going, okay? This is how I feel about it versus you know, being tainted by somehow lately I'm the same way use. Yeah. The only thing that I heard before my brother had watched it before me, and he just said you must watch it. And so there you go. That's all I heard. But so compared tto lemonade. What was the experience like? It was similar in the sense that there are a lot of Visually. It's stunning, absolutely gorgeous. I mean, you just think about just her accessories and fashion how many racks they needed Because every scene she had a few different outfits that she wore huge outfits of tulle and Metallic puffy sleeves and lace. And just just imagining that alone is Lau and then I also wonder if her mom designs a lot of her clothing. How involved Tina? Her mom, you know was in the process, so just that alone. Stunning and the story itself. She kind of expands on the Lion King story. But there there were a couple moments now, First of all, Let me just say this, too. I love Beyonce. So I'm looking at it through those colored that vision, you know, because I know that she is gets a lot of pushback for you know, trying to be too perfect and I do feel like it must be exhausting to be Beyonce because she she always looks amazing. She always looks amazing. You know, that's what we expect from her. We expect it to be like just perfect pristine and she did deliver that. You know, so At the same time, you know, I do see that At one point, I was watching it on hills like, Oh, there she goes again, You know, like she's looking absolutely gorgeous. And you know, it's really Beyonce focused, and it really starts that way so she isn't and it's available. On Disney, so you can watch me. Plus? Yes. Yep. You can watch the whole thing. It's It's almost two hours. I want to say, Oh, wow. It's Yeah. Oh, Is there an album that you can video like, 10 minutes? Oh, no, no, it's a whole film. No, it's like a whole movie experience. Yep. Come and they're in with. There's a short song that she does with her husband be Jay Z. Forell is in it at one point to the one of the songs that kind kind of teared up a little because it felt so empowering. She's like a mood and it just Her daughters are in it as well and and her son, her kids, You can see them, Shell says. A song with Naomi Campbell and Lupita and Young Go and Kelly Rowland, and they're looking at each other. Just like you're so beautiful and, you know, felt like good sisterhood. And they all telling Beyonce she looks beautiful or each other. They're telling each other Okay. Build a little awkward to be like. Oh, well, I would like you to tell me how beautiful I am. You do feel that sense, though, because even when they're doing like group dances They're the dancers are all in one color. And then Beyonce's in a different shade of the same color or something completely different. Like a contrast as if that's what you're looking at. Yeah, you're just looking at Beyonce dancing, you know, so I mean, and the hair extensions alone. I can't even imagine there's one where she's on like a Uh, you know what the painters like some scaffolding and The hair is just Like two stories. It's super long

"All right I now know what I'm getting. You guys for Hanukkah this year. You want to know we're getting the same thing. Both you. Okay KFC themed crocs. So. crocs has just released KFC theme sandals that came out yesterday and They sandals I'm not sure I'm just assuming that they're considered sandals. I'm about to say something that is going to make slightly unpopular with some people. I, think I think crocs are absolutely hideous. These are probably more hideous. Regular crocs so they come in the famous Red White Red and white bucket KFC bucket. And then they have the chicken like pictures of the chicken all around, but the cool thing is on the very top of the CROCK is drumstick. It's a gibbes charm. I don't know A. It's some sort of charm, and it's a drumstick and it smells. Like a KFC chicken drumstick. Who's going to smell your your foot? Crock? Get answers getting worse than what? Are you sure this isn't a joke. No, it's. Kim Kardashian debuted it a few months ago and now it's like a reality. The CROCK is going to sell on their website. crocs DOT COM for a fifty nine, ninety nine, and they are available right now. Okay. I don't want them for Hanukkah. Don't want them for the holidays. I don't want them for my birthday, but I understand. There's a time and place for crocs and people say they're really comfortable. Blah Blah Blah, but do you wear them? Never know You'd have to pay me to wear these. These chicken shelly yeah. Well. If I was going to wear any, I probably would wear these. That's all I got all right while you ready to get you. I am so excited that these things actually came from target, I can't even believe it so many unique things. We're going to start off with breakfast and the first thing we are going to be tasting. Are Bantam pancakes in magic? Unicorn mini stuffed pancakes. So Bantam. That's the company that made the bagels right the stuffed bagels. Yes, were then shark tank? They were bent on bagels. I think a huge shark tank success story. Yeah, and there I think those bagels are at starbucks. I was excited I. Have The box sitting right here and the funny thing is I'm GonNa? Show this to you because I don't think you can see this. I'm a little scared. Because one of them is like a little pink filling and the other one, there's a picture of some weird green failing, and it says mystery filling inside. And I. Don't know what. I'm holding one. That has the mystery green filling, and really. I'm a little worried. Oh my the pink! It says colorful sweet cream is what it stuffed with, and then that's interesting, colored with fruits and Veggies, so there's no. Oh, no fakey I'm Jay. That's greater. This is so good, but wait. Each one has one hundred ten calories. Yeah, how would you describe their size? Okay? There are like a mini muffin. Wouldn't you say like a very mini Muffin like a? Large mini like a Chubby mini muffin. Delicious, though because like it tastes a little muffin. It's like a Muffin and a pancake had a baby, and then the baby had a delicious, fruity, sweet creamy filling. So I'm going to see if the the fillings are different because the Grad, the green one I know what it tastes like so now I'm going to try the pink one I just had the pink one. Tell me what the green ones as like I think. They both taste the same, so maybe the mystery is just the color because it's supposed to just be sweet cream filling. That's amazing. I. Think kids would go nuts over these i. have to tell you they're really fun. And they come, so the Bantam pancakes come in other varieties two. I think it's not just the Unicorn ones. Oh well. Yes, so they also have home, style, chocolate, chip, and Blueberry Oh. Wow, okay, well, you know I. I have to tell you like flavor, wiser home run, but I would probably want to eat three or four of these and I think the calories would would rack up pretty. I don't know they're just really young and

"Got her mind on one in particular. I see where this is going. The tabloids have started printing rumors about her relationship with Jay. Are they dating? Are they friends? Are they colleagues beyond say on her work? Friend Jay Z. Just get an absence hurts at the local Buffalo Wild Wings Jason. The studio recording his seventh. He knows he needs to break out so he has an idea. What if they do a duet for his album? At this point he's the bigger solo artist. So they do a song about the relationship they may or may not be in together through Bonnie. And Clyde you know and you've got another down downright at the very end me and my girlfriend me and my girlfriend mostly. I remember the video bay in this hot red lip gold Bikini Jane Bentley Cops on their tail. I wanted to be in the backseat of that. Bentley. Soul badly me to how much fun would have been to be there together. I mean they were just friends anyway. Right what's two more bodies in the back seat right knee and my best friend best friend so they don't know it yet but this video is going to change their lives. Bans love how the songs a mix of both of them. Jay's slick rhymes fiance sexy vocals suddenly critic see bay in a different light. Sharon's a little street cred as one music journalist puts it even more important. The whole world becomes completely obsessed with knowing their relationship status. And all this buzz sends the single straight up the charts be will not just want to know they. They need to know about Just from the reaction. I'm getting from the public about Jay Z and beyonce. How long have they been dating? So this is after all three Bonnie and Clyde comes out and Jay is doing promo on MTV every time the interviewer says beyond say he fidgets Baby Jay. He's a crush while he's thirty three but yes he has a crush and he doesn't WanNa talk about it. It'd be fair to say that you guys are close friends. Would it be fair to say that at friend? You've been on out. Yeah that's fair. That's fair to say idol will be putting eighty million people. You don't go wait sore. They dating for real now and just keeping it under wraps or they actually not together. Who knows they just keep teasing us? They even put out another song together. This is crazy in love. And it's a big single on beyond his first solo album. It comes out in two thousand three. Oh Gosh feeling so crazy right now you love me. Feelin so crazy right now. It's right there in the lyrics. He's got her feeling so crazy right now looking so crazy in love their obviously together but Jay says in an interview for playboy that they aren't he says she's beautiful. Who wouldn't wish she was there girlfriend. Maybe one day and at this point if I say I'd be pissed well beyond as doing the same thing she tells oprah if you're a CELEB- it's not wise. Tell people about your private business. I don't actually talk about. I'm dating who I'm not because I think is important that I concentrate on the music and when you start talking about those things then that becomes big good in the yard so yeah. They're both reluctant. Imagine you're rich megastars? It's not like you can go out on dates. Where normal people go touch and hold hands and all that the second the press gets wind of it everything changes. It's not really yours anymore. Now you belong to the public. So what do you do if you really are crazy in love with someone else? You're famous all over the world and you're scared to death that if you fall too hard for each other it could be the end gunman looking so crazy in reshot. Can't help it stuck in my head. Well when Jay Z SIGNS? Riana and rumors start flying that. There's something going on between the two of them. The onset goes from crazy in love to crazy upset. But I'm saving for next time..

"And facebook and on point radio. But we're having this conversation today because of Professor Michael Eric Dyson. He's a sociology professor at Georgetown. The university he teaches a course on Jay Z and he has a new book out called. Jay Z made in America and he joins us from Washington. Professor Dyson. Welcome to on point. Thank you so much for having me. I admire your show and I love what you do. It's a great pleasure to have you. I'd say first of all the idea that Jay Z is fifty kind of blows my mind to begin with It is kind of mind blowing. I mean how do you and I remain the same age as he got older. I've no idea all. I know that it is happening here. We are so so why. Why did you want to? I mean even teaching this course about Jay Z.. Why did you want to write this book and bring your thoughts about Jay z sort of place in history in American can culture to a broader audience? If for no other reason than to have this conversation with you today it's been all worth it but to be able to have this kind of conversation with millions gins of more people who are invested in a serious deconstruction of his lyrics arguments over his place in the hip hop Pantheon Talking about his subsequent development as a human being reflecting on his own path from toxic masculine easy to heroic reflection about masculinity taking its limits and talk about that music those lyrics those great ideas those verses that verbal imagination that rhetorical genius that sparks so many reflections and meditations and commentaries. So you know. He's turning fifty. He's turned fifty. He's been what let performing for about thirty years. Hip Hop above ground is about forty years ago so I thought this trio anniversaries would provoke a serious his conversation about Jay Z. One of the greatest lyricist the genre has produced. So let's let's start with I with one of the common. Criticisms of Jay Z lot. Lots of people say he's he's he's surface level and you say no no if you think. Jay Z A surface level. I hate to say it. You're being surface level. You know he says in one of his songs do you people just skim music or do you actually read it understand it. Do you listen. And he's absolutely right. I think that was on the moment of clarity And a lot of people scam it. They see what supply upon the surface. But they don't dig deeper into the cavernous reaches of his imagination Canadian on some of the B sides which are beyond the partying and the Bacchanalia. Though even in some of those songs he manages to slip in some political commentary terry some deep philosophical reflection about the nature of life so to argue the Jay Z.. Is Surface is to argue that Robert Frost is a simplistic poet. It what is he doing writing. Poet why is it such a great poem whose woods these are. I think I know his houses in the village though. He will not see me stopping here to watch his woods. Philip was snow was deep about that. A guy on the horse stopping by the woods on a frozen lake but there are such deep meanings beneath if it the sub strata of the point the conventions that are being both accessed and avoided or at least challenged The simplicity of the exterior the PL- acidity of the surface and the profound chaos. that it masks so if we can acknowledge that Robert Frost looks real simple but has a lot of deep stuff. We've got got to acknowledge that about Jay Z as well all right. Let's let's deconstruct some Jay Z. Here a little bit more. Let's listen to a track off of his nineteen ninety six album reasonable. Doubt this is can I live.

Pill is continuing to keep and suppressed let people and they're using jay jay z. as a means to do that. Try to get us back. Watch it again because as we stopped watching you know and they're not going to tell you that it's not going to be really reflected in ratings under land but this shit was happening. We got all kind of a list superstars a-list celebrities turning their back against the n._f._l. Refused to super bowl in unison with colin kapernick <hes> and they're for jay z to go do something like this after he was also doing come on man. That shit ain't right row. You said he is right in line with him but it's a lot of other things that are right in line with you as well. That's a positive in you know what i'm saying. So i mean you can look eh both sides of the coin which coin which side is it. You know what i'm saying aside where he's doing like prison reform stuff and and like <hes> i mean because it's not just james this whole family even beyond say. They both like shit activists. You know what i'm saying. You know i i just i don't know man. I just feel like it's just like a little too early. I don't know what you're saying. Don't get me wrong. You're saying <hes> but still a part of it for me personally. I feel like there's a little too early. I feel like he has good intentions. <hes> but obviously you know he's a piece of millionaire billionaire so obviously there's gonna be some self province of gain there but i think the overall intent is is good so i wanted to overrun intent so just be someone someone to represent a and we all we all know right so even though we have somebody in representing we could say barack obama right so even we have. Somebody represent is still. They're still going to find a way okay to to make it about them. You know what i'm saying you know more still have the same <hes> policies and plans. We can only do so much and i think that's kind of like what you're saying and we can only do so much. So why do you think this is going to work but again. I just feel like it's way too early. You know what i'm saying to just kind of say that he won't be able to make change change or or inspire change. I would hope that this is i feel both sides and there's some things i didn't know before now like that. He told <hes> depre- not to take the deal and he took it now. I would hope this is some sort of like dot out chest move right. He has something up his sleeve to where he's trying to <hes> have maybe a more controlling stake in a positively effecting <hes> like activism representation in the n._f._l. But it does those kind of seems shady just because like as it stands right now the n._f._l.'s still did suppress cabernet and blackball them and like they haven't made any sort of statement acknowledging okay what he was doing was just a right or whatever they still trying to like. Kick that out so i'm i'm interested to see if jay z didn't you said that he's going to be like running something with activism for them. Yes inspired changes the n._f._l. N._f._l. Even if it's warranted in our community we have some people who are so revered that they are just a half a step below god and sometimes we are blinded even to their biggest mistakes stakes are shortcomings. He could also be the worst case scenario for them aggression conversation because now you have somebody who came here illegally. And then did a lot of the things that these people who don't want legal immigration are talking about right crime in the community. He was involved in drugs. Like, he's checking off a few boxes that Trump in the maga- people are talking about. So if he becomes this figurehead of change, which clearly he has done. He can also be the figure he people can also. Yeah. But how many Twenty-one savages are there? How many people are there, really? I read something about a couple from Pakistan right who've been here for ever right pizza restaurant and was making mad money off the pizza restaurant, cultural procreation, and they sit back they sent him back to Pakistan. Yeah. Like. Yeah. I don't know. I just think that if you can if you're allowed to open a business if you're allowed to pay taxes here, it's got to be some type of different stipulations. Did you watch state of the union did? What you think?.

"Yeah. And there's some rappers don't do that the best their technical ability is very good. But then are some storytellers like goes, face killers and things like that who just paint a picture in a different way in the kind of holds them high. We talk about that rapper Lewis, right? Yeah. 'cause I'm like hearing the same that we have on gca who able to do so breezy excuse me, miss only a couple years later. Like that's being able to Lola them. Pretty incredible. So those just interesting to have Shani got any other Jay z things stories ideas postulate, let me for the most part, Jay Z. I remember back in the day. Because I mean, the argument you have to you've had for the longest time. If you've been a long time Jay Z fan is who's better. Jay knocks Jay z NAS, and we know that infamous battle where Jay z took the loss tonight is, but it's weird too. Well for that time 'cause they. The actual vote in everything and depend this around the time during the blueprint the song specifically the takeover where he explicitly references NAS because Naza put out it wasn't even like NAS put out a sawing. No. So basically, Jay Z was beefing Mopti. Yeah. They're also from queens queens, does his close buddies. So Fru that jab started to happen from both camps. So being Siegel take shot on the radio somewhere. Yeah. So the nice did a free. Salam radio pretty much coming at all of Rockville records talk about being daisy everybody that's on the label at the time. So that's how they kinda got caught up in beef. And as well around around that time, Jay z had had a thing with nozzles back mother. Oh, so this not when he not like they were together anything, but he had a thing with the mother of now the shot, which is like another rapper back. Now is like, okay, we'll cares. But back then that was like, whoa. Okay. That's awkward and at the same time. She also had thing with Alan Iverson a basketball play. So just like that. Which is kind of thing that Jay z kinda heading tuck. So around that timeframe is when the beef happened everyone thought the nihilo, but if you now if I listened to Ethan listen to take over and we break down the songs and how they work I personally back in the day. I would say, you know, nice all day. Now Manab span. Now's not. But as Thomas progress Jay z by takeover, more super ugly would have been accepting twenty eighteen because if you guys another timeframe so even came out to shock the world three does. Yeah. To no two thousand two thousand two thousand one because I think if it came out before takeover, oh, I thought. After it came out after right because of that concept that he put out right? So from the perspective of a fetus, so then not puts out Ethan shapes the world, then Jay z ads extroverts take over telling us to you know, who knew no what's that keep that between menu because originally didn't feature any shots, and they don't wanna talk about my deep. But because if the head came out and did the damage that it did Jay put out soup now soup of ugly was a song done over believers snoop. Dr or Dr dre beat one of them. But he talks about basically the wake started. It seems like me your boy a out have more in common. Get it me. A I have more carbon because that's his baby mother. Yeah. So he started talking about left the condom in the baby see all kinds of things. So now for that time. I mean after what pushes he did with Drake. That's like something. Completely different. But at that time that was like, whoa. That's why Oakland JC ended up losing beef. Because people were like, oh, you you wouldn't wait too far? If Jay Z's mother made him apologize for the song. Oh, wow. Yes. That's how it got to that point..

"And a lot of people have mentioned to it more than almost a lot of other rappers his flow because knee of the -bility to adapt to slow to fit almost anything. And we were having a debate. You're gonna be talking a lot about Tim Lamb tonight. And we mentioned I was pulling beats one of my favorite beats of all time has to actually be what he did for fifty cent with a oh technology because that looping glean elaborate inter sounds like there's a ping pong medical on the back. It's like quite literally. Yeah. This book, it might be likely in Timberlake doing fine on there. But like fifty cent is trying hard to catch up to that be. He he's legitimately like falling behind a little bit. Yeah. And you're like, oh, you you'll know how to write this like, you know, that this is good. You know that this is like a hate that you have to be on. But like. Struggling trying to somehow got money wasn't the lead. Single bull from Curtis. We were watching Jay Z videos, and then I think we got timbale and somehow all his production. And and yeah, I was I was like, but imagine if nothing else about the changed. But this was Jay z and said how much better it would be Jay Z's regarded for for like, he's right? So highs FARs rappers because we talk about lyricists. That's that becomes a tough tougher Phil. Because when it comes there, specifically just technical ability to wrap a flip words and stuff like that. You have so many people that like people, you probably wouldn't even know of like the IMF dunes and things like that people wouldn't probably be familiar with things like that. Because they're not as popular talk about rappers only compensating people rank him because he has, you know, this many points of lyrical emcee, but then his charisma and flow his energy in his cadence in these on his artistry with historic telling abilities because. A big thing. We hip hop as well. A lot of artists that have rained very high for a lower people is their ability to tell stories and pink those pictures..

"Know jay z has just been as anyone would expect the husband to do falling back in a way that i so appreciate is just like he's clearly like is not a world tour this is my wife's tour and he's fine with it and i'm just i guess i'm just like an off but i do have you know i do have one could cheek that we can get into because i had to like i have to be objective so i do have one thing that i can pick on all right do you wanna leave that a cliffhanger do you want to okay okay 'cause i don't wanna like suttie your own i will say i i haven't forgiven jay z at i don't know if i ever can and i think beyond say i completely agree with you vera lyn i am i continue to be impressed by her intention ality hurt the fact that she's at the top of her game on every level of performance of visually musically her the way she approaches celebrity is really appealing admirable from my perspective she's also made a fair amount of money projecting herself as a feminist she famously performed with the word feminist behind her she has sampled chima monday goes eon de cheese work and the fact that she that she makes this album with jay z that i didn't really see it as like a helpfully honest depiction of a marriage coming together i felt like a lot of the especially the very last track that sort of like oh we worked through this thing and now we're really happy or kind of portrayed their struggle is something that they both had to approach from from place of similar responsibility when it's jay z that fucked up and i think a lot of the reviews that i've read of it of the album so far have been kind of similarly like isn't it great that they're showing that you know you can work through a marriage and that all marriages hit rough spots well it's not like a marriage hits a rough spot it's that jay z did like betrayed her trust and i mean good on her for making an insanely great album lemonade out of this pain and and i did enjoy this i think it's incredibly sexy i i think the their descriptions of love really resonated with me the depictions of black america obviously didn't resonate with me personally but i found the incredibly compelling but at the end of it i find the the entire i find jay z's whole stick kind of boring at this point like he's this sort of like swaggering manly man who is humbled himself before his wife he calls her a queen you know the idea that beyond say has like come forward with this honest depiction of their marriage is it's is the wrong way to look at it that it only it would only reflect poorly on them that or that this would only be a flaw in their marriage because as a culture we sort of blame women when their husbands cheat on them i think he's touched a little bit on my one issue it but i do think that when i watch beyond saying jay z talk about their living in the world in which he's been unfaithful the trust has been broken this feel so resonates with me personally so.
