"Players. But i'm wondering if the deeper a team goes in the tournament does that start to take care of itself and does success breeds success and adversity overcome. It's going to require a breakout pla- who has not performed so far to step up and win the tournament for them. You know there are a number of players who still haven't had a breakout on every single squad that's in the final four and you're going to need someone to step up that that will not be a team that will win because you know that to next opponents are going to play badly. A team is going to have to step up to win this tournament. And they're going to have to win. It never almost certainly going to have to win asymmetrically by employing some tactic or by employing some plath that they haven't used so far that is very very very chairman. "Gross oh boy. Alright you'll I hope you chose wisely. Well I mean I the hasn't come. It's June when that happens but but you know there are some actually decent Republican candidates on the ballot this this year so so I you know I would love to be part of them being Actually I don't know especially cannot vote for anybody who who came out of the convention system because you know they have a crackpot. They can make it through the Utah. Republican convention and be the ballot. They are a courageous man. It's ladies and Gentlemen I. I'm going to say it. Democracy is not awesome. It's just it's just not. We have not found a way to make it work yet. Not here not anyway all right. Thanks Elliott Dan wrote into us. Hi Guys My name is Dan and I love your show and if your name is Dan you must be. You probably handsome. That's all I'm going to say. Anyway you've spent a lot of time discussing Jay dubb's Jehovah's Witnesses and interacting with them. You recommended not doing You recommended not doing that. Which is to say interacting with them in general which is good advice or sorry which is which in general is good advice. Well I'm a sixty five year. Old Hippie stoner atheist and taking advice never was for. I have fun talking to the Jay. Dubb'S I've heard all the debates in dockings and Hitchens etc and I have all the arguments from those great thinkers more or less handy in my head so we have lively chats. I never quit until they do. The best part watching Jay DUBB's smile politely back away and declare need to move along. It's sort of a sort of the shoe on the other foot. You might say so. Thanks for your great work and don't drink lysol from Dan. That's sweet. I mean if you can beat them at their own game why not or at least make them a so uncomfortable daily view. I don't know there's sure if you get a kick out of it that's great. I always feel bad for people who are like trying to debate them in earnest. Like hoping to get anything out of it other than an entertainment because well and you're not gonNA they're not GonNa hear Ya. Yeah you are keeping them from. Maybe finding some pray out there. So that's true the long- The longer you keep the you know I I should have that attitude because that's the attitude that I had for the longest time when whenever I got a sales call telemarketer I would keep them on the line ad. Infinitum IF I had if I had any time at all it was just constant it was and I would see what I could get away with two. It was like yeah. I'm super interested in the product. Actually you know what I have to go to the bathroom. Can you just hold for a minute? While I go to the bathroom and then see how long I can keep them there. I'll come back to them. I'll check in with them. I used to now. It's all robocalls now. Now there's no fun to be had anymore anyway Hey speaking of Dan. I believe. It's the same. Dan also gave us a one.

You gotta move up away so I don't see any different from from think tank started at one thirty right. He's been areas Oh career. He might he might say neither move to make it more comfortable notes but the situation man I think it's like it's like a slippery slope along with the angles and boxing ability but I think teenagers you had your power that can change folks minds about maybe throwing punches as we see in such good feet is like even if tank hits them with one can he hit him with two or with low may be out after that and try to recover on using his feet like Keith Darmon. That's that's what we want to see. We WanNA find out can survive the thing Davis love and is a boxing ability of machiko. Maybe too much time I bet you after that though a lot of fighters are going going to you know that's kind of like the Aracruz knock out in border wall knocked down in Boorda was it was only inside and you relaxed you were waiting for the referee to break you up without calling for break and tank took fool advantage and that powers just game changing a do WanNa talk about because we switched the tank but there's this new terrorist Crawford curse going around. You've seen it no no they come out every every Friday. Take a picture with losing now they posted like <hes> him and Jay dubb's him hooker Karwi Irving on what he he did wrong but they put a picture to the he he do braids tall do always at the fights. I don't know no reason why we should make the Earl Spencer was cute and for the fact they they didn't mention him. He didn't take no shots. He didn't come at a DEROGATO- convinced what they want to do. WHAT THEY WANNA do not ain't what he said he says on about <hes> the shows that they think about what you sound like that? What did they scare you scare? You're thinking about you sound like that. He said <hes> I thought it was saying I like some of the shit he said but also if you've been listening to this show you know that I like to say I live in the reality that I live in towns. Crawford is obviously not living in that reality and reality is there is a cross the street <hes> he may not want to believe it but there is and that's the other side of the street when you have a sports journalists. That gets paid the amount that he gets paid that works for E._S._P._N.. Sports illustrated zone prefacing his question like that. It's because he knows that there is a across the street he's lived through and written dozens countless articles on Mayweather Pacquiao in that saga <hes> Chris Mannix has been doing ownership for years before Crawford was fighting so he knows that there's across the street but it was good to hear Crawford answer it that way to give that not a losing Jin but narrative. "We have absurd levels of chemistry here. Only mention it hundred and twelve absurd corrected absurd. Correct. Yeah. Level well levels could be netted it could be a very very low level. A year in really, you're right, but chemistry not so much. Dave. Did you watch the Super Bowl the Super League? Well. More accurately NFL we both lie in. This was not very I'm sure like they're football fans who love defense who would say this is a no hitter in baseball. Yeah. It's like a low scoring fascinating nil nil draw between two elite side if he doesn't like it. You don't understand the game? Yeah. But it wasn't that much fun to or. So it was on. It was so Super Bowl. It was the super-rich. Bo funny. You mentioned it was on the rooms because producer Jay dubb's called it. The Super Bowl of background noise. Tam good pending. The play was not interesting the commercials. Yeah. One we should say completely objectively neutrally one superlative no-doubt Cleo award give it all the Clios. Budweiser commercial win power. Not so good quick shot up, by the way to my mate. Pete bergh's NFL one hundred commercials. I thought was outstanding superb was that was the highlight more action in one minute than seven and a half hours of NFL, football, some positives. I I'm trying to be positive as you know, positive person may really trying hard. I was fascinated by who was there who was there at the Super Bowl exhibit, A, Mr. Harry Kane. He's at Britain's ambassador to the NFL doing his bit apparently to drummer interest between the league. And taught them Hotspur who will have NFL game playing at the new stadium when it opened in twenty twenty seven did you see the photos of imposing with Tom Brady? And rabbi Julian Edelman, did you see them? But it does to me that the mother Kansas City. Chiefs of the Premier League of Christian Erickson this Todd Meriva church maybe Mahomes. What Harry k wearing his Tom Brady twelve patriots jersey while standing by Tom Brady, it was like seeing a fan doing small child. England's manager issue medium with no been on the eve. I yeah. Apparently, they were commentating because the commercials are so long in the so many than the BBC doesn't have commercials cost in the Super Bowl. So when we had commercials not very good apart from the wind. Power commercial. Budweiser and Pete Berg one hundred. Yeah, they had English football managers. Give their thoughts on the Super Bowl. Really? Isn't that a fascinating concept defined fascinating concept as in something that would never work wouldn't be interesting to listen to well, some of them England tweeted that was happening. And yet I had tweeted about hashtag daddy wants. And they and they by anti it's not quite interesting is much shot. They didn't get Louis van Gaal at love to hear him like the lots Julie's regime enough TV meeting, TV executives and producers to immediately. When I hear that idea. I immediately go to a sort of a depressing little conference room at BBC headquarters in London and a whole bunch of young sort of development. "You guys were talking about your own religion. But I was raised in from island. Always taught. My religion was only one and best one even though not nearly as many others so visiting places like Buddhist temples or mosques or learning more about eating tribal religions that are way way older than their religion. You were brought up with very different and kinda learning about other faiths as a second person has really. About all of Larry's differences. And I think that's another thing that atheist wants your whole should consider. Did you love the show meet we I think that's great, although wolf sanctuary to say wolf singer, elephants sanctuary. But I think before that she said, well, not just sounds dangerous. Elephants are dangerous to. Yeah. They're all dangerous. They all can be dangerous. I mean, I know that aren't that go roll around with some wolves. I don't know, you know. Well, but like nice, I think that's that's really nice. I do love the idea of like, yeah. Finding finding unique ways to sort of get in touch with nature. Connecting with the world that we live in. Yes. That's essentially the and bending it to our will. Yeah. Well, and you know, seeing the animals before they go extinct. That's a good one. Yeah. Exactly, go Go's aren't going to be any find a tiger. Those are those are going away and say goodbye goodbye, go say goodbye, going all Voy that sucks that made me. Not make you sad. No. I think that's lovely and yet, and I like the idea of also visiting sort of the holy sites. You and I are big fans of going to absolute holy site. Love it all over the place. I mean, such as they are sure how. Yeah. But we I mean, we love to go to I usually enjoy more the architecture like great cathedrals and that kind of stuff. Yeah. Although it is interesting to walk around. And I mean, they are designed to make you. I mean, I'm talking specifically of like massive cathedrals. They are designed to make you introspective. Yeah. You reflect. Yeah. It is the height of the ceilings and the way the light comes in. It's it's all part of a whole package of of inspiration in a move. I've been to some really interesting know I've been to. Like sort of temples that were carved out of the stone in India, their amazing. Just you know. You're definitely going to be reflecting there to like just on on how much work went into it. And how. And just sort of what inspires people and what right? You know? It's it's very interesting. I think I think that we as non-believers have a unique perspective, which is that we can sort of decide we can look around at everything that we see and decide what is baby, and what is bathwater and sort of, you know, keep anything that might be interesting might be useful might be a practice or or thing that we could incorporate into our lives and make our lives better. And jettison all of the stupid stuff. Remind me though, is that the baby that we're getting rid of or the bathwater. It depends. I personally don't want want children. But I enjoy a nice bath. So they'll throw that this bathwater with the baby I like to I like to throw away the baby. Keep miss a nice warm bath sounds nice wonderful. Yeah. Great idea. We also had Lucas right into us. Hey, guys. I just listened to your last episode where you brief. You mentioned the Jay dubb's and the rules about blood transfusions, and it act actually reminded me of a childhood memory. I'd forgotten about for years. So when I was three I was diagnosed with leukemia, which is a form of blood cancer due to this. I was constantly getting blood transfusions from when I was diagnosed all the way until I had a bone marrow transplant at the age of eight. Now, my mom's best friend who I recall being quite fond of wasn't a religious type for the longest time. But when I was around six or seven she'd been going through a really tough divorce and found comfort in religion, the J dubs to be more specific. I was just a kid then so I don't know much about how things went between her and my mom, but I did notice we stopped hanging out as much and the last time I saw her she and my mom had a heated argument in which I clearly remember the line..

"Well, there you go how romantic thrown coins in the fountain for the roads. I'm going to take us for for last little thing to Moscow. Ooh. Whereas, you know, we have reported this before. There's been a crackdown on religion. Specifically there was one religion that back in. We're in was that it was back in twenty seventeen k the Russian Supreme court decided that one there was this particular faith group. Extremists Ono extremists so bad that they became on par basically with with the ruling from the supreme court. They were basically placed on a par with like Islamic state. Oh my God. And like Neo Nazis. Okay. The Jehovah's Witnesses. I don't know if you remember reporting that yes, j no they're just annoying. They don't do harm do they extremists? I mean, there's that whole like they jeopardize their members health by like, not letting them get blood transfusions and weird shit like that. But like they're harmless. They just go door to door so backyard. Knowing back in two thousand sixteen legislation was approved by one Vladimir Putin. And and the the the rest of the legislature to that outlawed missionary work by like Mormons Baptists that sort of thing, right? But I mean that tends to be different because the way that the Mormons and the Baptist student. They send people from one country into another country. Correct. Whereas with the Jay dubb's, they go to they go they go to their own neighborhoods. They bother the people in their own hood. Yeah. Yeah. So it's a little bit different. So anyway that was outlawed too. And they've been scooping up Jay dubb's and put them in jail. Pulling people out of their homes at times. Oh my gosh. Sometimes with FSBA agents with the police snatching people up. So recently just in the last a little bit of l'idee MIR himself, Mr Putin. Interesting, quote, which was basically that he. He didn't know why they were persecuting Jove as witnesses, and they're just other questions. Somebody should look into that. Yeah. Okay. Which is pretty funny. He it's basically here's what he said. Quote, Jehovah's Witnesses are Christians too. I don't quite understand why they are persecuted. So this should be looked into this must be done. He's claiming he didn't know about it. And which is funny because a couple years ago when Angela Merkel from Germany. Came in and talked to them. He basically she basically he said like brought up the subject to him to his vase couple years ago. He knows about it. Of course, he does. Of course. He does. Right. But but yeah, he off Off like. like, I don't know why they're being, you know, they're they're fine. So anyway, apparently, there's a lot of hope now that some of these people will be released from prison because these people are going to like their did could go to jail for ten years and Russian jail. I'm imagining get don't wanna go to gulag, but they going logs. They're going to for like up to ten years or more for the crime of what of going door to door and really annoy being annoying being really annoying, Dan distributing propaganda pamphlets being annoying and self righteous. Yeah. But everybody does that. I wish that were crime. Wouldn't that be nice? Great crime. Yeah. They're stupid little packets or the pamphlets. Oh my God. They're just so ridiculous. So harmless harmless, so our day completely harmless. Yeah, knowing yeah. Patriarch Curiel who's the head of the Russian Orthodox church has not commented on the crackdown. But as senior officials of the church, basically have said that the whole witnesses manipulate sent people's senses and destroy mines and families. What I got news for you, kiddo. That's what religions do they manipulate brains? That's all they do. All right. Well, if you would like to manipulate our brains, you can do so friends by writing into us podcast at podcast that podcast podcast. Just keep going until you come back around to it..

"Vengeance vengeance. It's basically Sam Jackson right before he puts them all. And Brad's big brain. When the sixth seal is opened. There is a great earthquake. The sun is blacked out on the moon turns to blood I put a marker down here and say the sun is going to spend a lot of time getting blacked out from now on just one point of order. Yeah. So the saints that died the martyrs for Christ. Yeah. Calling for revenge. So that's that's totally that's a rewrite from the original. Because they a lot of these people went to their deaths willingly. Basically what they're they're under. They're saying like how long must we, you know, be here martyrs until you've you avenge the deaths that we will walk into your again, you're asking this to make sense along strategy. Well, I just found that one little flaw in the narrative. Well, yeah, you seem to hit on the on on a weird anomaly of a of a narrower so far it was with it smooth sailing. We can fix that up in the rewrite. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. We'll fix it in post. What's funny is that I never I I don't know. I've never read this part of the bible. But I've heard plenty about the four horsemen of the hawk lips. I always imagine them writing together. Like like like the raves of the of of they will earth. There's an answer to that. Yeah. And like any good writer. He sets up he's setting up our characters we're getting to know them getting deep into what motivates them. They're all behind separate seals for right now right now. But I guess we just opened the seal. Other mingling with the beasts and like and the seal is a book. Right. It's a. Yeah. So it's like a sealed portion of a book, so they're ripping open these seals. So there's there are literally men on horseback in the book, but they're not they're not written in the book. They're just guys in the most fucked up version of the beginning the opening credits of reading rainbow. Right. That's exactly Burton and bit. And he opened the seal. And it was a. Death the bearer of Papp's, and we and and and he held in it was death. But. Okay. So the six seals open. The sun is blacked out the moons turn to blood the stars fall from the heavens and the mountains and islands are all shaking out of place all the men of the earth from kings on down fleet into caves and beg the caves to collapse upon them to escape the judgment. That is to come. Look cave. I've never asked for. All right. Look. I don't know where your dick is. But I will blow you suck your dick. If you're just collapse just this once so that's how oh my God. Oh, you kill yourself. Exactly Pekka cave to collapse. Jesus Christ as we enter chapter seven John is clearly regretting eating that last cap because we are really really going off the rails still in the six six seal. John cease four angels at the four corners of the earth holding back the four winds because what a globe has is four right. That in Genesis. It's hospital corners another angel sends from the east telling the four angels not to hurt the earth until he's had a chance to brand the servants of God on the forehead, how many servants will get the apocalyptic seal of approval one hundred and forty four thousand. Yeah. Wait, wait because I have listened to enough got up movies episodes to know that the Christians are terrified of being branded in the final. I know. Right. Well, this is this is Mark of salvation rather than the Mark of the beast. I'm just saying any Mark, right? You hear about these? If you mentioned Mark like government marking the people or anybody marking the people it's the. Thing they've ever heard over. That's the beast that Satan? No the March. That's happening is the good Mark. That's right. You want to be marked? Yeah. Jesus christ. You ought to be uncle, Mark. Hundred forty thousand. Mark Tech's paps. You've actually you know, where that hundred forty thousand comes. We've talked about this with Jay dubb's. I think it's twelve thousand from each of the twelve year. Exactly. Okay. Twelve thousand from each of the tribes, and that would be Judah Reuben Gad Asser Neff Nep Fulham Manassas. Simion Levi is soccer Zevulon Joseph and Benjamin. Yeah. "I've lived and died with this with this US team just as I live and die with England, but we have to accept if you really love football, you've got to love awful, and you've got to enjoy all of it and you've got to accept the thrill of victory the agony of defeat, and we cannot be American exceptionalism about football. And this to me is the biggest thing. As we go forward, we cannot be americ- sexualised. We have to accept that a rising tide little boats that all football is good, and we have to truly love it in that way. Every single level of this game, if the US is truly going to take a seat on the world stage who you're right, Dave ACA, they say, when that final whistle went, felt humiliated felt sold destroyed, fell, humbled, why humiliated? I heard that word from a lot of people. I don't understand you wins three wins and ten hexagonal games. Insipid lifeless play. When fate was on the line from a team does long as I've watched it from the ninety four. Woods was a team who prided themselves in their collective plate then never say die. The underdog fight appropriate in the jersey. None of that was evident, David. None of that was evident. I mean, just a Waco cooled that we have to recalibrate are in the of how football world works right now. The challenge is always been, how do we close the gap with the big dogs, the Belgiums Spain's Brazil's. We couldn't be aware the CAP's closing behind this too. Will football is more competitive. This goes for the men and the women's game. The way nothing is a given. Nothing is birthright. The way things were is not how they're going to be, and we go to appreciate that with the taste of room blood in mouth and what we do now, what we do now, David, we'll define the next generation of football in this country. And I'll say, as I think about this and I started to think through how does it impact everything? We're going to talk about that now. How does that impact everything? I started the tell you started at Tex with you, communicate with Jay dubb's deal with the GOP's over Facebook and Twitter. Only eleven year old Baz was just doubled over in agony. And soaping my seven year old just simply did not understand did not comprehend what happened, how how could the I will Cup. They hill experience is a sentient football fan, involve his American, Harry's that was the the personal dog this, but professionally strategically we have got to use this moment to be inspired by the competition to be self aware about what just happened and to really focus on the reality. I kept thinking this heart of darkness quote the moment we're in the jungle. There's too many of us with access to too much money too much equipment and little by little. We went insane. We've gotta get saying very quickly very strategically and make this an incredible turning point for US soccer. What we do now will define it. I think you made a very good point that I don't wanna get lost within sort of the logic context, which is, you've got to look at this sort of. Often, I think I've said this before, but I learned how to read a green from one hundred yards away as a plane Gulf is you don't look at the green and you get on it from one hundred yards away. You look at the slope of green and you see it slow confront back is sloping left to right. Like where is the slope? And when you get onto the green, whatever the little variations of the break of the part, it's basically going to be affected by what the green looks like from one hundred yards away and the overall slope of the green from one hundred yards here is that in world football, everybody is getting better and because everybody's getting quicker and everybody's getting more athletic that it's harder and harder to break down defenses. Everybody's fitter. Everybody's playing on on all on better pitches. Everybody has used development. Everybody is has scouting systems to go and find their best players and football by its nature is not about possession. It's not about yards gained. It's about individual breaks that give you goals and you can see to goal early. It's always tough to go and come back and football game. You can always concede a goal against the run and play. The best teams in the world still lose a lot of games..

"All right. Let's move on to questions about the MAC. And then I don't know what I'll do. Ben beard asks. What are your thoughts on future MAC books with arm processors, the guys thinking could happen as soon as twenty twenty related question Jay dubb's asks, do you think apple will put a powerful more powerful a-series chip in a macbook pros and use it just to power marzipan apps as a way to transition to arm and extend battery life? I don't think that that's going to happen. I think that. Putting a a, an apple arm chip in as the touch bar processor as a little side computer within the computer make sense, but only in the sense that it's a peripheral in terms of actually using it to run apps. I don't think that that makes sense. I think apple will switch to arm. I think they're absolutely full steam ahead working on it. I agree with the ATP guys that it could happen as soon as twenty twenty. I really don't think it could happen next year. I think twenty nineteen is probably too soon. If I had to guess my guess would be that they might announce it next year at a WDC to get developers onboard with compiling apps for arm and and which shouldn't be too big of a problem. Hopefully. Because hopefully developers have seen this coming and haven't been doing anything Intel specific for years now, but who knows? But that's what they did when they, which from power to Intel, they announced it at w. w. DC said it would start shipping next year and early the next year. I think in like February, they came out with the macbook pro. They started with macbook pro, but it just switched it. And I think that's what they'll do. Again. It's not going to be that you have an Intel processor and an arm par processor that powerful enough to really run apps. There's no reason really for marzipan to to need an arm processor. I really don't think there's anything you know. It. It runs just fine on the Mojave beta, you know, running on Intel, the the, the power savings that you might get from theoretically running marzipan apps on an arm processor while everything else runs on Intel. I think it's far outweighed by the cost that you've incurred by including both a premium arm processor and an Intel processor in the same machine. That's just wasteful. And it's just not how transitions work transitioned work by ripping off the band aid. It's just here you go. Here's a new MAC book that instead of having an Intel CPU uses. Appalachia, re's arm arm CPU. That's how it works. And before you say yes, I remember I think there was some kind of weird thing where you could get like a sixty eight k co-processor back when the PowerPC Macs I shipped..
