"A having a nibble and I don't really love it in any combination of leftovers. The Sandwich I love it on a sandwich I do. I load on a toasted sandwich. Yeah I think it's great Turkey. They agree with the one hundred percent with you on the leftovers. I like making a sandwich out of all the leftovers sandwich itself itself is on an actual dinner roll. That's leftover toasted in the oven. Ed and you're you're putting cranberry sauce on that sandwich. You never do that any other their time. Yeah you can play gravy on that sandwich identity you just reversal sprouts going to a place. That serves like a Turkey or a Thanksgiving excusing sandwich with Turkey. Hot BUBBY VEGAS SANDWICH OF HOT Bobby. They don't sell L. A.. Cold Bobby so maybe. That's the point Lisa. A great question from Jay Clark Gable. Got US thinking. Let's Sierra. Everybody falls on that one all right next one from Nick. How do you know dink's my name? Is Nick and I'm writing you from Ashland on your Monday podcast you went in tantalizing tantalizing detail of how delightful Lebron's Dunk overby. alita was as a delusional kings fan. When I watched the dunk live I felt like somebody dumped on my younger sibling? I was was fuming. Has Been a constant professional and playing huge for Sacramento. Do you guys have a defining moment. Where you watched your guy get disrespected it on the backside of a highlight and every time you watch it live you find it impossible to appreciate the play for what it is and instead are consumed with rage and that question from Nick so yeah I'll highlight that you're not that big a fan of angers you because of maybe your guy the quote unquote guys in it? Is They have one go eh. You know it's funny because one of the most famous Dwayne Wade dunks times when he smashes it. On and some version I do love that dunk dunk but what I can never not look at. When I see that dunk is at Anson versions? Legs literally go up over. It has sort of it lands at the bottom of the stanchion. They're like I just can't folded and see way just going off to the crowds. That's hey that they do on the play. Previously Lebron misses dunk. I think Jamaica Neil blocks or something like that so that was when Wade and Lebron obviously apartments and way to do that like it's a great all right don I I just feel so bad for version because he really collapses chair crush you watch that and not try to to not watch. What does it's impossible so I mean but in terms of what he's saying like it's I enjoy that well? I mean game two. Oh six finals. When Kobe dunks on Steve Nash Steve Nash? One of my favorite players will say that's a dirty dirty dunk in a playoff game at Sei. You're like Oh poor steve coming in to take the charge original like don't do it. Don't do it and it was a bank call. You could've maybe you got in the judge. Was He there in time. I think he slid under a little too late. But isn't that the one thing Kobe's pointing minis face off. There is that series for. That's that play or if that happened earlier in the game even but this is a crazy play. Because like it's in the fourth quarter the Lakers Syrup SORTA handily but they're not into the woodwork. Like the sons. Are you know hanging around. Odom gets like this wicked hustle dives with the ball and then from the floor throws it too Colby Obi who then streaking towards the net and does that huge one hand dunk. And it's a good one to watch the suns bench on that Kobe. Because it's right there at the sons end and they're all like doing the like All did that just happen. Like the whole back a little bit and Kobe hangs off the rim like a bad asking like really swings on. It looks really cool. But that's Nasty Nash. Be In their Captain Canada. One common thread in these three place. Stop trying to take charges. You don't have to be a consummate professional all the time guy. Enjoy a highlight. Jeez what are you trying to do to take L. charge from Lebron on the Lanier insane as for me my answer Alan Iverson's basically his first career highlight is crossing up Michael Jordan but on the guy who says he didn't even cross him watch. The Clip Jordan doesn't stumble his feet switch. He's still almost gets a hand on the ball. Jumper crossing them Michael Jordan kid meal of Turkey Bobby. I'm a huge Brian Russell head so MJ hidden over not not cool with them. Jay hitting over alleged often. Of course you did. Yeah yes right. Fry Russell sprouts an exhibition. What is a WHOA boy? I have no clue what it means. I'm an old fart and I usually you get what those kiddos are putting down big fan of the show keep up all the hard work with a tip of the FIDORA. Tommy got it actually black back so we'll boy is something put out daily our social media platforms. It's the line of the night. But it's it's called it's termed a whoa boy now. Excuse that's all skeets term from way back when we were the Basketball Jones and I think it just started because we were talking about. Someone's impressive fantasy. See Basketball Line of the night the night prior we were doing the podcast just tasks and I and it was like a liberally Woodley. That's how it started and then it just as into it from I'm not as in. I think you're implying we're talking. Numbers is all about applying. Geeky air gave the little voice. Yeah that's right. Uh by the way. I'm an old fart. This email from lease ass when he was in the rafters stands spill in their crafting. This email the tip of the Fidora to you. That's one sign off. If you want your email read that sign off like that. Yeah but we did the boy daily we would award the world fantasy line in the night for a long time then it disappeared then just just went away for a couple of years there and then we brought back maybe two or three years ago. It's amazing how much rage a crates. It's unbelievable by the way I'm not emailing texting the guys guys in the morning saying like hey guys trade who do you think okay task. That's really you think him. I just decide because it's my dumb idea and then I blast it and then you rightly we get the comments. He had five turnovers. You did their team lost. Shoot eight twenty. There's a couple route with with wins and losses. Do not matter. I don't care they don't count when you're playing fancy basketball doesn't matter man. Did you have the crazy box score all right good. That's it but you know look at times. It's like five monster lines like I don't know who to give it to all right. I'll give it to this tip for door for you to you for making that tough choice. In the morning one opinion gets upset people. It's big time Tommy team. Yeah thanks is AH walk boy take any. We explained that all right next one from Zack. Hello no dunkers. Anchors I hail from the pristine beaches of Western Australia. Living up down there in Australia. You got the beaches on the Gold Coast. You got the pristine beaches of Western Australia. Willia- Although the Perth wildcats have dominated the MB L. in recent seasons. My friends and I have rarely watch the league in great detail and our attention has instead been on the NBA however with the additions of Lamelo Ball and RJ Hampton. This season I can safely say the casual NBA viewer including myself are becoming more invested our ball and hamptons respective NBL seasons gaining attention in the US and do you think more NBA prospects will bypass college and head to the NBA L. before the NBA draft in seasons to come again that from Zach in Australia. It's an interesting question. Well definitely Lamelo Ball is getting a lot of buzz. I I haven't heard Jay but I've heard of thing about the Hamptons Z.. Saying well I don't know what more more as a product of. Hey He's out there playing as well as doing. He's he's pulling the one off with a one year deal. Yeah just like Lamelo. I think I think just from the perspective of players doing more I think they will. I think this is a product of guys like Brandon Jennings doing it. I think it's happening. I think it's happening more. I very slow is not a lot of players but more and more I think if lamentable ends up going number one in the draft that'll be a great indication that people will want to go out and plant strobe because they'll probably be more money in for plays to go out there and do it and it'll just show that the league is strong enough that it can prepare for the NBA when you were there. I know it's been a long time. Did you follow the NBL at all as a kid for sure. Okay because we didn't have the internet or cable sort of impossible right certainly certainly not on a day to day way but in the late eighties early nineties the NBA was really big in Australia. What about your your friends or family? Now that are still in Australia. Do they. Follow it all. Like how popular is it. Not Not so much because the NBA has just taken over. So people follow that I mean how many teams teams are. I think there's only eight teams they used to be like maybe twenty teams spec in the back in the day that I just couldn't sustain okay so but like I think so. I'm not one hundred percent. Sure that's right. But LAMELO ball gets paid around seventy thousand. US dollars for this season plus gets car accommodation a few other little factors in there. So it's not a lot of money but there's also a lot of expenditures because things are sort of covered for him so it's not huge money but it's great exposure for the League and they've had I think when they stream games on facebook the most watched games ever in NBA history. So people can mean Mitch Cup. Jack is out there watching him right now. There's definitely a lot of interest a lot of NBA scattered out there. Yeah Lamelo Ball. Highlights started showing up on the youtube mix creators which you would never see anything that's not an NBA highlight so. I think this will happen more often except for that the age limit is going to come to an end so the question then is high school players going to leave early because that's something lamelo did as well remember. He started playing in California then he left early when Lonzo finally got it to the NBA played in Lithuania for awhile. And then as making his cases number one draft traffic now in Australia. So I don't know I mean what if in two years from now there there is an age limit..

"Off this weekend my name is Michael born on a river of to deck restoration I am your host today and I've got Chris Jensen with L. peace or Justin with LP smart side and Kyle Miller of all around so actually part of the part of the company that hosts the show part of the crew part of the truth right so Hey Kyle okay so what's going on all around just what are the different projects you guys got going on sure well all around score services are real things siding windows index I'd say a roofing siding windows are about eighty percent of that we like to pride ourselves on our reputation and our certification soul were a platinum preferred contractor with with Owens Corning ware a master level installers LP smarts I siding and were in Anderson certified window installer and that really builds a lot of credibility and ensures the homeowner a quality job and a great warranty on the back and you have peace of mind in these products are getting put on the right way we also do like commercial so you look at the same products that you put on a whole but on a larger scale your dental offices your condos or apartments your town homes we're doing a lot of those projects as well and it's our typical spring frenzy right now so we have a nice strong mix of residential and commercial projects not only running on a daily basis but also trying to get on the books and and right now I'd say are anywhere from eight to twelve weeks on a siding project really few weeks out on real thing and windows probably in that eight week range but if you're a homeowner listener out there and you're considering doing a project in you wanted done in twenty nineteen I'd recommend getting on the phone at least getting into that estimate consultation face so you know what to expect because those projects book up pretty quickly and and then if the storm hits all those retail projects end up getting pushed back because there is an immediate need to restore those homes after after they get hail damage or whatever it may be so okay this you you mention windows that you're a certified Anderson correct okay it would tell me a little bit about that sure well Anderson windows built to partner with other quality local companies like L. P. smarts I'd like roof deck Anderson windows are made locally they have a product for about every budget and every application from a vinyl all the way up to either fibre glass or wood and aluminum clad window and we can install other brands but if the homeowners on sure about what they want we're going to do the same approach that we do with the real first sighting we're gonna take a look at what the neighborhood calls for we're gonna evaluate their budget how long they're gonna live in the home and what exactly is it from a performance and an aesthetic standpoint what it is they want out of these windows a we're going to line up with what we feel like is the best product for all those applications when you add up all those variables what's going to steer them it's gonna help us steer them in one direction and Anderson has a product for each one of those applications and we have certified installers so that manufacture is backing up the installation and we know all that one reason we love Anderson if there's ever an issue they stand by it they are they're ready at our backing call to figure out what exactly is going on but we typically don't have too many issues because it's a quality window so eat but you you can install other windows yeah we install plenty of Marvin's we do pal every now and then another brand is Sierra Pacific we do a fair amount of those but if the homeowner is gonna trust in our knowledge and expertise and in Anderson can fit in all those variables we talked about from a budget performance and aesthetic standpoint we would prefer Anderson so I I get postcards every every now and then I think in the mail word talks about windows by Anderson right is that the right we knew all that was that's what it is yeah that would be a renewal by Anderson they're they're actually competitor of ours we will we'll see them in the field will bid against them from time to time good window I can't I can't say the same window dates well their window was made out of their their five rex composite okay soul they have a proprietary looking window but the material in itself is not proprietary so real by understand from what I know is a good company owned by Anderson windows I believe it's a it's a their own segment that sort of subsidiary or its own company of some sort that has rights to a window made by Anderson okay but I don't want to miss because I don't know exactly how that business partnership works out but it would be ruled by Anderson has their own proprietary product if we run into a homeowner who has a bit from them which we love to see we would align them with the one hundred series or depending on their budget maybe an E. series a what and aluminum clad window really depends what the homeowner wants to what I what I love about all around is that you're not selling a single product right the Emmy's at you where you guys as a sales person you're gonna sell what you have and if you don't have what they want you might sometimes cellum maybe not what they need but what you have and with all around okay if it's Anderson is Sanders with Palomar whatever you've you've got those choices you guys are gonna make that recommendation I just think it's a safe bet yeah absolutely well we have those products that are tried and true that perform well that we that we trust that we're gonna go in with but sometimes you got to call an audible sometimes the homeowner really wants to work with all around but they wanna Marvin window for summer reason or another which is fine they're they're great windows we're gonna help amount install at Marvel window the application the insulation is pretty much the same as any other window couple tweaks here and there based on manufacture instructions but overall windows a window siding is siding sometimes the homeowner really really wants that fiber cement we're gonna try to steer him in another direction but we've done a lot of the fibre cement shakes that not too many I'd say one to everyone hundred smart side projects but we'll still do that the application the installation is similar but we're gonna go back to the tried and true products that we prefer which yeah yeah you know hit for citing a be that'll be smart side so can I jump back to my my company little bit is that we stay index okay and so and I talk to people that might want to do it themselves which I find I understand that right we'll get that because I I kind of know that they'll probably do it maybe two or three times and then that's gonna be the end of that alright so labor intensive yeah you're you know we got thirteen great weekends in Minnesota you know you don't wanna use tool to opt to do your tax so what are some of the siding or I'm sorry what are some of the standing products that you guys have stood with over the years that you know perform okay so that's the quote that's the thanks only to contradict myself here the only stain that we will put on a deck is ready seal the only thing will do and we get every now and then we'll get a custom and says Hey I really really want to use this I saw something consumer report as the caller well might be a color but I think more often than not it's that they read something or somebody told them something it's like this is yes like okay I can't I can't stand behind a product that we don't know and the application for stains are different and I don't want to practice on anybody stack in I've I've done enough you know we've we said okay let's try that and then it goes wrong we just like now we're only gonna use ready still and what I tell people is the best thing I've ever found it's not perfect there is no you know it just has more check marks in the good column that it does in the bad call and you know so we can do it we we did there was a time might I tried a company called Armstrong Clark no and I actually know the guy Jake arcs arm struck her up Dick Clark Armstrong Clark his name was Jay Clark is out of California and they make a really good staying the problem is is that it will self combust if you leave it in a bucket I mean if you put in a bucket so we had get this bike it'll blow up it'll be it'll start on fire so we we left a rag you know and I got twenty guys invents okay so think about that for say I got twenty different people standing tax on a particular day and we had one of those twenty leave a rag in is that it started smoking we got out of there before we lost the van okay then couple weeks later with when we were talking okay guys this stuff scary stuff be careful we left an oily rag inside a bucket in the warehouse but we caught it early enough were you know we were able to get out of there couple three weeks after that or something like that we had a dumpster fire with the fire department actually had to come out and it took all the paint off this big steel dumpster and it melted the let down and you know nothing okay so guess what happened after that the fire happened in our warehouse I got a call from my manager at three in the morning said Mike we've had a fire that's a bad cholesterol bad bad call so we went in and the sprinklers went off and I mean it it just flooded everything and we have neighbors left and right the neighbor to the left of us had just spent I don't know how much a hundred thousand dollars they'll make up a number but it's a lot to remodel it and had the whole place loaded up with computers because it was gonna be a call center it was opening up the day that we had the fire did literally the day we have it was hundreds of thousands of dollars in damage and so that particular product I can't use it because guess what some day one of my employees would take an oily rag that's gonna self combust in might put it in their dumpster yeah right or even inside a whole it is just like an eyes and I said to Jake I said Jake I can't I can't use your product any says Mike you just got to train your people better it's like I can't train perfection your brain yeah so anyway so we use a product already seal in just a moment here we're up against another break the big big thing is FOR D. I. what do you I why people do it yourself people if you're gonna stay in your deck do not use a water based product period okay oil oil only oil use oil oil soaked in water is a film it lays on top of in water can not be stripped I I was in a conference once and it was actually du Pont was talk about how this new product was in the last five years or more and I went up to the guy afterward us okay five years it's gonna have to come off so I can redo this deck how do I get it off because Mike we never ask yourself that question so oil all right we're up against a break your listen to the all around home improving our we will be back with our last segment in just a few minutes the two sharp entertaining also Sean Hannity the American people deserve the truth let's keep it simple we see these new star okay any.

You can find these great listens and more hatchet Audio's. True. Crime audio dot com. Okay. Let's go back to the case. Now convicted of first degree murder. Peer remains facing sentence that could mean the rest of his life in prison. Standing in the courthouse hallway and hearing about the verdict I couldn't help. But think about that offer prosecutor John Lew in had made to remain almost four years before if he had taken it he likely would have already served his time and been out. Now as he sat in a courthouse. Holding cell waiting to be transported to the county jail. It was likely he would never be free again. Later when I talked about the case in the verdict, and how romaine showed no emotion or other reaction to reading the verdict. The prosecutor wasn't surprised he said that the conviction aside. He did not believe remain harbored, any feelings of remorse responsibility in taking Jay Clark's life. I think that the way romaine looks at this is that an essence, and again, this is my own is nothing. He's ever said. This is my perception, I think romaine looks at it as if it's his fault. He's the one who pulled the gun on me the way it's supposed to be is. I'm just gonna take the car. Why did you have to make me shoot you? Because of that, the any remorse. I never thought he has remorse. He has more from self. He has remorse for the mistakes that he's made which have heard his family, but everything is all about him. I don't think he has any true remorse. Rejection had a similar take on romaine. So what is your take on romaine? We've talked about Jekyll and Hyde and all those things what is in his soul d think he's ever considered what he's done the people. He's heard that the life. He took does he have any kind of regret, conscience empathy, sympathy? I mean, the guy was a cop. I've always believed. Good cops, have empathy and sympathy, and you know, the summaries of his work assessments, and so forth are all that. He was a good cop and he made arrests and he put people in jail, and none of them could have done. What he did? How does he do that in? What is your take on him? You know at the end of the day. What do you think about peer remain? He he's a extremely hard read, obviously cops it our hardworking and good cops, generally. I don't even know don't come from gang backgrounds where you're doing violent crimes and running around with other people that do violent crimes, my gut. And you know, it's I spin around Piero main a lot obviously had have had very limited direct interaction with him because of my role versus his role in this this case, but my gut is he's regretted it a lot over the years, at least in the sense of where it's taken him in the path that it's put him on as a defendant as a somebody that standing trial that this hasn't gone away ever for the last three decades. He probably thought it did for a period of time until it was re renewed in two thousand and three whether it's had any direct empathy sympathy regrets directed over taking somebody's life. I don't know or whether it's affected his mind set on what I've done to agreeing family and grieving friends who lost their son, and their friend. Jade, everything appears that he's been doing in the way, he's handled himself it appears he totally has thought of nothing but himself if he had any regret or guilt or whatever for doing what he did. I would thought he would jump on the deal. At least saying on acknowledge what I did in. It's a good deal. So I'm gonna take it. But now, John Lewin told me interesting thing, and like you about of experience with coal cases. And he said that the passage of time from crime to. Possibly being charged or tried or being found out, you know, people protect themselves like logically in and that he often runs into the case where some spent all this time pretty much convincing themselves. They didn't do the crime or convincing themselves that it wasn't her fault. And he said that

"Gracia shoes. On version. Eastern. Graefin very. Rain, man. Grandma. Kesse was obviously tapping into the issue of race that seemed to underline the case at least from the defense point of view, this idea that was a spouse by Romain on some of the wiretaps that he was being prosecuted because he was a black man who had risen up from the gang streets of south LA and made good. When remain told it to his friends on the phone calls played, well, whether it would with the jury remained to be seen. I should point out here that the jury was of diverse makeup of at least half of its members being minorities, including four African Americans. I think I knew for sure that McKesson playing the race car would not go over well with Mikhail. Kesse next reminded jurors about this mystery blood drops found on the night of the murder on the sidewalk just feet from Jay Clark's car. Prosecutors and police said the blood had nothing to do with the crime and one witness from that night testified that he had seen a fight taking place between two men on that sidewalk just an hour or so before the murder other than that the blood played little part in the trial until now. But because he was the third party in the third party culpability case the defense had been trying to get to the jury. It was McKesson last chance to get the jury thinking about Andre. Again, he was prevented from simply coming out and saying Andre did this because a judge and said he had not carried the burden of proof in terms of third party cope ability, but he could certainly throw suspicion on Andrei. And that's what he did throughout his closing reminding the jury that the trial testimony having -cluded that Andrea Pierre live together and Andre war peers close that testimony included the state's own expert. Talking 'bout wears DNA. It was almost like he should have been saying hint hint. Peers DNA was on the board because it was on his clothes and Andrea was wearing them that night. There is more he outlined Dwayne Dixon. The man initially arrested with pier. Thirty years ago was Andres friend, not peers, and then there was the white Mustang the alleged getaway car. "Street. Car to the ladies and gentlemen, jury to the best of your recollection. Wait. Looking who car? Car to me in time since come Carl. But at the time thinking. Eric carr. Carbon on small. With the to your world. And how to yours there's something that happens all of that the car back in stock and cut to. And I remember having open the door. And push to seek for to that. So. Ryan's description of the car was important to the trial as well as the investigators back in nineteen eighty-seven it revealed that there was at least third man involved in the attempted carjacking and murder a getaway driver. I talked to Rick Jackson about the importance of James Ryan both as a witness back in nineteen eighty seven and as a witness in twenty seventeen. So rick. I wanted to talk to you about James Ryan. And I knew he was important piece of this whole thing way back in nineteen eighty seven when you were first called out to the case because he was a witness who had called the police because he heard gunshots. Can you describe how important or how he moved your investigation forward? Yeah. He was very crucial, and obviously was on the next block over and saw nothing directly about what happened at the crime scene here the shots and it brought him over to the window. And he sees the two men running. He gave a good description of the clothing and the physical build of the two suspects. He saw the thinner of the two in a dark jacket of some type carrying a revolver. And then he also described the car backing up that he described as a white sporty car American car. Backing up and the two suspects that had run from the crime scene jumping in. And he said it looked like they both entered through the back seat. It was a two door car, which obviously gives us at least one other suspect. The driver likely a second suspect in the front passenger seat, which would then cause the two suspects that were running to get into to both get into the back seat. So through him you so many new we're not just looking for the two guys who approached Jay Clark's car, right? We have other possibilities now. At that point. We can't say for sure we knew that the one or two people in the car that weren't at the crime scene. Did they know what was going to go down? Did they have any direct involvement in driving away? We didn't know that for sure. And also, we have which became very important the the white vehicle that was described which. Gave us another way to work toward solving this crime. And so I think it was about a month later, you get chipped to peer romaine, and you start looking into him and housing was it that you came across a white coupe. A sporty cars has James Ryan it said well the day of the search warrant which is about a month after the murder. We were at pier remains house searching the location, and we came across several pictures of romaine and a few others standing in front of a white sporty car. It was a side view. So we couldn't see the license plate areas. But it was a side view of the car, and they were flashing gang signs. And so at least we had a white sporty car connection to romaine at that point. We didn't know what the connection was quite yet. But it gave us a direction to go. And the thing about the. There being no license plate. At least James Ryan, you know, being a reporter being observant and so forth. He looked to get a license plate number. And he didn't believe there's a license plate there that to me. It seems like a dead end. But it turned into something else. How did that work out will? Eventually we connected that white sporty car to a registered owner by the name of Pamela Watkins, who eventually we found out was the fiancee's of peer remained brother, Andre romaine. And so we located that vehicle. It was a recent purchase a brand new car. It was purchased at a place called freedom for it in Los Angeles. And it was registered to Pamela Watkins. But the information we developed was that it was really Andrea Romains car and some additional work and information, I learned through gang authors. Was that? A lot of gang members would have their girlfriends, fiancee's wives, whatever put a car in the females name. So it wouldn't have a direct return to the gang member. And they would go out catering. These cars so two things happen when we found the car first of all had freedom for paper plates, at least on the back. I can't remember also on the front or not at this point. Now, whether that was on the night of the crime because we also found at that what gang members would do with eight even take the paper plates off sometime which would make it even more difficult to track. There wouldn't be a dealership indicated on the car. So whether that was totally off that night. And James Ryan actually sudden nothing we're the license plate would be the rear license plate or whether there was a freedom forward. And he just couldn't make it out when he looked to see if there was a a license plate on the car. We don't know for sure.

"Clarke? June sixteenth, nineteen eighty seven all of Los Angeles was sent to celebrate the back to back championships from the Los Angeles Lakers basketball team Showtime as it was called back. Then had gripped the city and glory and pride, but to give you some background at that same moment. There was a growing cancer in the community. Los Angeles was on the cusp of the deadliest time in its history in nineteen eighty seven. There would be three hundred eighty two gang related murders. LA county with the grim number more than doubling by nineteen ninety two. Now in this day of basketball glory, June sixteenth. There was an unspoken truce that allowed gangsters from all the neighborhoods of south, Los Angeles. To celebrate the Lakers and pass through rivals. Neighborhoods unharmed. A small motorcade a cars from the neighborhood of the rolling sixties Crips and south LA set off from the fabulous forum where the Lakers played at the time and move towards downtown where the official parade speeches were planned there were gangsters non-gangsters alike. United under the yellow and purple colors of the Lakers. Honest, reach us outside the forum one driver named dantonio watts became distracted by passing girl. He crashed his customized nineteen eighty-five Nitzan three hundred z X into the back of his friend. Pierre remains corvette. According to the accident report. Nobody was hurt. But the three hundred zero x was total. Jackson called for the report the vehicle that hits romaine which is driven by remained, buddy. Is a Nissan three hundred zero x the same kind of car that his steps in Willie targeted by Romain when he shoots j Clarke. So we end up in a junkyard and car guy, totally go over the junkyard. And really not until I see that car. Do I go holy shit. It is a mere image of Jay Clark's cards, not a convertible, but it is a mere image to the point where even the customization was exactly the same, and it had had converted trunk and shape and everything else. I'd like I said before I had never seen that exact look on a car and here, I see two of them within two weeks. Both connected to romaine. It's not a coincidence. When that kind of thing happens, and I knew right, then that this likely was the motive in the case targeting that car. Here's Clifford Phillips the man who is sitting in the car with j Clarke. I remember him driving up on me and my friends with this new vehicle, and we're all happy for me. And my friends spoke. Specifically about carjackings because that's when it started becoming real prevalent, and we asked him. Let's it we ask them. What would he do if he were carjacked? He said a given up my car, I'm not going to die from car, and we were police here that and lo and behold. Maybe four or five days after he got that car and showed it to us. He was gone because of the forest car. Okay. I want to jump in here and say, thanks to one of our sponsors for supporting this podcast. The investigators had something else in the murder book that would now come into play Jackson ITO had received a report from the department's firearms unit that the bullet found at the crime scene next to Jade Clark's car had been matched ballistics to Jay's gun. This was important because there's human tissue on that board and the match confirm the J that hit his killer with a bullet. And that the killer would likely have entry and exit wounds somewhere on his body the warrants the detectives had received from the judge allowed them to search Pierre Roman's body for those wounds. This injury lingers for LeBron in this. How much patients does he have is? He take the time. You mentioned Steph curry stuff did miss Levin games was able to come back when he came back. Now, he came back at full strength plans, significant minutes immediately. It becomes lebrons got to rely on the chain and staff. He's a guy that had not been hurt, but he's on the right track. Because a lot of recovery has to do with diet. So the better shape, you're in the better diet, you have when you get injured the speeds up recovery and all groin trains are not created equal one that Steph had that was eleven games could have been more severe or we might find out less severe the one. Lebron had my guess is he wouldn't miss more than a week. I'm not surprised he's not gonna go on this road trip. It's one game road trip. And then they afford games still in Los Angeles. My guess is he would play at some point during this coming home stand. One thing made me think that it was more significant was he was in Golden State when it happened. They were going to Sacramento short trip. They decided to go back to Los Angeles to have their staff and the requirement and also no one else could see too. All right. But then so for me it was like, oh, they're going to Sacramento, but they decide to go back to Los Angeles. With the pro mover they agree to, code of ethics and a procedure to settle disputes about your possessions Bradley's with us on the Clark Howard show hi Bradley Jay Clark So I've got a question about really home financing okay and I've got a. House that has appreciated pretty substantially that I. Bought two, years ago Congratulations to you I will say we got it for. A great deal. Also an accounting we bought it in what's kind of doing a first. Time homebuyer Bill so we were actually able to get the home for seventy seven thousand at three veterans who about two thousand seven built home for, seventy seven thousand which was a great deal in our area and the home is now appreciate it to about one hundred. And ten thousand so we're at a point now where we would, like to sell but we're not sure what to do with with the money once we have. It in hand so because we only have about fifty eight thousand left because we did a. Substantial down payment With fifty eight thousand to pay and then clear after expenses you may, clear somewhere right around fifty thousand dollars exactly I need to ask one question before we go forward with those government subsidized. First-time homebuyer offers sometimes you have to be willing to stay in, the house exactly certain amount of time to not trigger some kind of clawback exactly and it. Is a five year is what they said but as long as the property stays in our If it stays in our name then that's fine but if we were. To, sell it. Then we would have to, pay back three years that they gave us seven. Thousand dollars so basically we would have to pay. Back. Sixty percent of what they had given us okay so that's worth doing if you're wanting to. Move on and you're getting so much money have you considered an alternative and that is turning into a rental right so we. Did. Consider renting a but we are planning to move about. Four hundred miles no you're right sell it right Right right so you really hard, to maintain it and at the. Same time it was not actually, like a government. First time home buyer it was actually, just they paid a down payment for us on the home when we purchased it and. That was actually a county subsidies that all right so I'm not even sure that it's. Actually. Ended there's so many things that go on monitored that I'm not even sure that it's, gonna trigger anything well in whatever case you'll end up somewhere forty? Five? To fifty grand exactly exactly so we're in a position now where I married and we're. We're, both twenty. Five years old You know we're in a position now. Where we can either use, all of that money is a down payment in another home. Or we can choose, to take some of this money and make it into an emergency fund because, we've already been saving for an emergency fund but this. Would be a great opportunity to kind of solidify. Not when you move to where you're moving next is that a long-term move are you going to. Stay, there it's a long term mood at least we expect it to. Be. So. I love the idea of you putting in that huge chunk, and.
