"And then handler is probably going to be gone because of the injuries. Unfortunately, great dude, but he's not on the field. So that's you got to decide that. What is my receiving core look like? Javonte Williams might not be back after ACL PCL tear till October 1st being realistic here. That's a year removed. Who is your running back? Who are you going to get as a running back? That's a piece you can typically find. Well, he's just not an everyday and back every down back, but maybe it's ham and another guy and javonte Williams. I don't know that we're going to see Edmonds the rest of the year. I don't even know if we're going to see Gregory the rest of the year because if it gets to three games left and he hasn't played, they're not going to play him. Why would they? And that's the optics of that look horrible because then he's going to end up playing four games. But what do I want to see, Chad? I want to see what this Clint kubiak calling these plays is this where 'cause everyone's like, well, the changing the play card, it's gonna be so much better. It's still the same system and still the same players around Russell Wilson. So there's only so much evaluation we can do. But can they find a fit in here somewhere even if the offensive staff gets blown out that you see a solution moving forward with Russell Wilson, whether it's with this existing coaches or new coaches, is Greg dosage the guy we think he is. Is that the guy and then how many you got to decide what I want to see? Is there beyond Quinn miners? Who are you keeping on the offensive line? I mean, honestly, you could go into next year in their offense and have 7 new starters. I would think you're looking at 6 new starters. So what is the scheme look like? Can you find out from those guys who are going to be here? What, what accents their ability and amplifies it. And then you're going to have to make a tough decision on draymond Jones, defensively. Do you let him walk even though you traded chub to clear room for him because you've got to spend money on offense? And you're just going to say, we're going to have to draft a defensive end that fits in over there because we've got to start putting capital on the offensive side. We can't afford as much as we love him to pay draymond Jones top of the market because we've got to fix our offense. And maybe our defense then gives up more points a game, but our offense is functional. They're going to have to start making some really tough decisions on good players defensively at the expense because they're going to have to figure out this offense. You can not win in this league right now with the offense they're rolling out there every Sunday. You can't. So the biggest question from each ad is very simple. Who is Russell Wilson going forward? What is the best scheme for him? What did you need to do to put around him?

"Decide what that is, put the appropriate talent and scheme around him because they don't have enough talent around him right now and the scheme does not fit him. So for any chance for you to salvage this, that is the question you have to answer for me going forward. Who is Russell Wilson at now at age 34? What scheme does he need? Who does he need to round him to give you a chance of success? Would this have looked different if they would have went with Kevin O'Connell? Because a lot of people think the Vikings, even with the win last night, still think the Vikings are frauds. They think that they've liked the Giants have been carried around a horseshoe in their pocket all season, gotten lucky. In all these one score games and they're going to get exposed, come play off time. But if he was the other candidate and it came down to Peyton having the choice between O'Connell and Hackett. Now I'm not saying he did, but if that was the case, a little bit of irony there that his old team gets the guy who's on a roll and may end up with the one seat in the NFC and the old employee there gets this dumpster fire. Well, and O'Connell, he didn't have the energy of Hackett. And he hadn't called plays like Hackett. He wasn't Sean mcvay was the primary play caller. But when I watch O'Connell's teams, they're more organized. And they just have more of an identity to them, where they're able to now, they have more talent, Justin Jefferson. Dalvin cook, and Dalvin cook, apologies to Bronco fan. They're better than DJ hawkinson. Leland is regressed some, but you're telling me the Broncos can match up with Jefferson Thielen and hawkinson in what world. And Dalvin cook is better than javonte Williams, maybe they wouldn't have panned out that way of javonte state healthy all year, but that's my point when you look at the Broncos, could O'Connell have fixed that? I think they would have looked more organized and been less penalized. I do be personally. That has been the struggle with Hackett is you don't play anyone in the preseason because you figured it out thinking he had this team. I really believe in hindsight. He thought he had a much better team than he had so they didn't need the preseason, so he's prioritizing health. We're healthy. We're a playoff team. Well, they clearly needed reps in the preseason.

"Had that faith? Returned. In kind? No, very unkind. Not in kind, very unkind. Not a win? Zero wins? Not a win. Zero wins. Not a win. We're talking about wins. Talk about wins. Zero wins. Zero. And who's coming in in your house? Russ, and he's cooking. You got 11 points. Let's ride. How about let's ride this? Let's go. Let's go, and if you're up 20 to nothing, let's finish it. Because if you lose your Owen for. Oh, and four. And Russ and everything that's going on with Nathaniel Hackett, and the, you know, game management coach. And weirdness of the play calling and javonte Williams, just like getting almost as many snaps as Mike Boone, that team could be three in one. Huge game in Vegas. And then you got Tennessee and Indianapolis. So yeah. Last time, this matchup took place. Remember Derek Henry, despite winning an overtime because Carson Wentz made a stupid ass throw. The only way to describe it. Derek Henry broke his foot, remember? I do. These two teams weird stuff happens. And boy to the Tennessee Titans need to win. If they win, they'll be at two and two. And the colts will be one, two and one. And Jacksonville could lose in Philadelphia. Hey, Tennessee just like Cincinnati might be your restarted owing to, but look at us now. Or the colts. Might we're getting shot. Back, let's take a look, maybe she killed Leonard, makes his start. They get healthier, Jonathan Taylor, missed his first practice of his life apparently this week with a toe. Let's go. Follow up that chief's win. Well, you show everybody that you don't need some weird still to this point unexplained. Personal foul penalty because Chris Jones said the wrong word. You don't get that help. Okay, Tennessee types are taking their heart pills. They've buckled up, they're coming to town. This is a big AFC south matchup between the two teams that we entered the season. Assumed what battle it out for that division. Jacksonville's joined the freight. So that's a huge one in Indianapolis between Tennessee and the colts and those are the games that I'm looking forward to seeing in week number four.

"I'm going to ask that question. No. And that question. No. And I'm going to get away with it. Oh boy. So it's like Mr. Rogers neighborhood, right? Except think of it mister Matthews gayborhood. Oh, that sounds fun. You know that actually does sound fun. And it's on YouTube, or wherever you listen. Wait, that's my line. Hello, Ross, available on YouTube or wherever you listen. Okay, now you just repeated me. We are so over our time limit. Oh, that's a bummer. Here on the Roku channel two ten. Odyssey and SiriusXM, baby. Yes, back here on the rich eyes and show terrestrial radio network. 8 four four two O four rich number to dial. We've got phone lines lighting. It's great. We'll take some calls shortly on this program. Chris long, top of our number two to discuss what we've seen. In week number three. Sunday Night football, let's talk about it, shall we? You should do that. Oh, there was ice in the game stunk on it. Let's talk about the Broncos first. Let's talk about the winning team first. That's how we roll. We should start by what I text Chris about the game is. Let's not do that. Let's not do that. I think it's common to commentary like that that gets accounts suspended. Oh, wow. Let's talk about the Broncos. I'm watching the Broncos last night. I'm watching the Broncos last night. And I'm thinking to myself, this looks familiar to me. Why is it look so familiar to me? It's so eerily familiar to me. What I'm watching. Yeah, deja vu. I did. I did, and I'm like, wipe. What is it? I can't quite put my finger on it. And I'm watching this team completely struggle. And I'm watching them struggle on offense. Not defense, I'm watching a terrific defensive performance by Denver. And I'm watching the offense just look terrible. Terrible. And the quarterback look thoroughly subpar in the process. And it was just a constant miss mishmash of. Check down. And swing passes and running plays that go nowhere. Don't see the imagination that you think you could have with a quarterback who can run it as well. Right? We're not seeing a lot of writing. And trust me, I'm also focused on this because javonte Williams is my fantasy running back and I needed points desperately. And I must watching him run in and out. Cooper, my 11 year old also has javonte Williams, and he asked me a question, I never he's never asked me before. And I never thought he would ask me. Dad, who's Mike Boone? Well, son, I guess he's their third down back and it doesn't matter what the down a distance is or how incredibly talented are fantasy running back is. He's coming out and Mike Boone's coming in. And at one point, Mike Boone was getting just as many snaps as devonte Williams and this team struggling on offense. Where have I seen this before? And then. Late game? All of a sudden, offense comes alive. Boom. It's like we struck midnight. And the pumpkins are carriage, like the reverse Cinderella. And all of a sudden, we're moving. We're shaking. First downs are a cropper. Balls coming out quick. Quarterback feels more comfortable moving around, fine and guys. Touchdown. After struggling the entire game. And then the Broncos win. I still can't put my finger on it. And then I heard the quarterback after the game being so incredibly positive as if what we just saw was peaches and cream and roses and rose petals the entire time. It was Russell Wilson afterwards on NBC. These guys battled all night.

"He shouldn't have lost his partner. Yeah. Luis Ortiz only lost the young tuolumne when you look at the rest of the resume. You're like, who are these? There's not a lot of good people on this resume. So neither of them have they lost the best of the best, and they always lost to Parker, I don't care about that, but they fought like equal level of competition. I have no idea this fight is going to play out. It's all in how dedicated Andrew Ruiz is. He's on his third trainer. So this is his third trainer. Yes. They look comfy. Yeah, that looks like a good like he looks like he's finally bought it. It's like Andy Ruiz did the same thing Ryan García did with anyone else. Like, you ain't got time to be. Yeah, you're too busy we can. I'm moving on. So you got another trainer, which I'm totally fine with. It looked good for, I mean, in both matchups for Ryan García as well. Yeah. It's just kind of needs that extra attention. Andy Ruiz, these same thing. But physically, he looks tremendous. I just my last prediction last year I did say Luis Ortiz by late stoppage. I don't know if I'm sticking with that. I think Luis Ortiz is going to have to punch between into reasons punches. I don't think Andy can hurt him. No, that's what I'm taking any reasons by decision. It's not gonna be ain't gonna be pretty. But it's gonna be a decision. My biggest concern with Andy Ruiz is we saw it against Joshua, we saw it against. Chris areola, when he opens up, he gets caught. Yeah. And I think Luis Ortiz King Kong can punch. He ain't opening up on King Kong. I know that's why, you know, people like Leon fight like a bat out of hell, I was like, nah, they're gonna be very cautious with each other. And it really is. Yeah, and I think they'll open up at some point, but undercard on this way too. Well, yeah. Isaac Cruz is in the co main event. Yep. Davis sweepstake. It's not even sweepstakes. The cruise fight helps javonte more than it helps crews. Let me explain. I know you're looking confused. Yeah. Javonte needs Isaac Cruz to look good in every fight he's in from now on to say, I fought him. Okay. 'cause devonte is nobody on this one. So every fight that is a cruise he destroyed yori yoga's gamboa, he beat the shit out of Diego magdaleno, and now it's like when he fights 'cause everybody thinks he's gonna want to fight. But if he looks impressive again, the first thing commentary will say is how much better does Edgar Davis win look now. For as a cruise, it doesn't matter. He's a co main event. He's supposed to win the fight who gives a shit. But a javonte sitting at home and he's beating his ass, everybody's gonna be like, that's why, you know, javonte Davis is actually really good because as a crew, that fight means more to javonte and Isaac Cruz. Yeah, that's fair. If I said Cruz just goes out there and gets Molly walked and that looks exactly now it makes javonte look lesser than. Yeah. And devonte needs that statement. Fight, I don't even care if he wins. I know. It's not even about winning at this point. Just fight somebody. Just fight. Everybody else, at least got a statement, fight now. And then we got Abd to Mars on the car. It was returning after four years off in the attached retina. And man, I'm so concerned with him. Yeah, like I'm like, but we see Spence come back. Yeah, but it's like Abner. It wasn't like Abner left the game while on top. Abner was had lost a fight, right? And it's been four years. And it's before years, and you're getting back in the boxing ring. I mean, I know he's got a soft touch, but man, it could turn out like Omar figueroa did again. Sir, you're living yet. That was late replacement. But not even that. But not even that, because circuit lipid is not that good. But we could tell that Omar figueroa he needs to be done with boxing. Yeah. Because boxing is done with him. His brother would have wiped the floor with him too. Yeah, he didn't broad and messed up. So some people, I mean, he had to get himself right. Of course. But some people, they come back. And they think they got it, and they just can't pull the trigger. I'm worried that abnormal is going to look like Omar figueroa. Not in this one. He shouldn't, but if he does and Simon hang on. He might not look super impressive. But you win. You shouldn't. And then they gonna feed them to somebody. Yeah, who needs a name? That's it. You remember he was supposed to buy javonte? Yeah, that's all. Have you been in that call for that? Very possible, still. Javonte only has so many people we can fight. So they better figure it out. So that's boxing a nutshell. There are plenty more to come. Thank you guys for listening, as always, watching on YouTube. One hell of a combat sports week. "Injuries happen, and we'll see how the year plays out, but yeah, I mean, again, this is going to be we're in the portion of the series where everyone's a Super Bowl contender. Everyone should have super role aspirations. But, you know, this is a team in a really deep conference in a really deep division inside that conference. And I don't know. Yeah, third place. I think that's believable right there. Do they, I remember that you had, you hate defenses that have just started playing together, it's one of your least favorite things. Yes. Does an entire, I mean, does a team with a new quarterback sort of fit into that same vibe for you or does Matt Stafford winning a Super Bowl in his first year with the rams sort of poo poo that concept? No, so my thing with Stafford was I do think it clicked faster than could have been expected, but you even saw mid season after they lost Robert Woods and they were trying to work in Odell Beckham and everyone panicked and the rams were going to lose their last 8 games. You can see it. You can see it played out that way. And again, Russell Wilson this guy who does a lot of off schedule stuff. He sort of deliberately goes off schedule sometimes. I think there is an adjustment period. That said, it's just so much talent. Not only Russell Wilson, but obviously even after the Tim Patrick injury, I mean, cortland sought I think is a legitimate number one. He's got to stay healthy. Jerry Judy is probably ready for a breakout. Our friend Albert O, he's gonna be good. And then the, look, javonte Williams is in the Marshawn Lynch mold. I don't necessarily want to compare every physical violent running back to Marshall lynch, but that's javonte Williams. They have everything there. Yeah, it should click sooner rather than later. And even if it doesn't quite click, you can still kind of figure it out. Yeah, and you're right. There is a javonte Williams led the league last year and broken tackles, by the way. 17.2% broke it in miss tackle force percentage. Which is crazy.

Stink Reacts to ESPN's List of Top 10 NFL Running Backs

"So stink yesterday, the top ten running backs in the NFL came out. Okay? Derek Henry number one. Yeah. Jonathan Taylor number two, Nick Chubb and Cleveland. Number three, Dalvin cook in Minnesota. Number four, Alvin Kamara. Number 5 in New Orleans. Joe Mixon and Cincinnati, number 6. Christian McCaffrey, Colorado is one of those favorite sons, Christian McCaffrey, number 7. Nausea Harris, number 8. Aaron Jones and Green Bay, number 9. And then you get to number ten on the list from the people in the sport, the top ten players at every position. Javonte Williams came in at number ten on this list, your reaction, your reaction is what? My reaction is it shows you the respect that people evaluators and people who play and coach and GM in this league, the respect they have for that guy as a player because that guy, unlike most of these guys, most of these guys are pretty much Bel cow guys. That dude was a true split. So you're talking about a guy that truly split the carries. And this league has gone that way to where there's different guys that have different skill sets and play in different packages and different situations. But the majority of these guys, if you're going to run it 25 times, they're getting 18 or 19 of those carries. And javonte was truly a 50 50 guy.

The Broncos Need Williams and Jeudy to Be Young Stars

"Cecil lammy wrote in his mile high Monday piece, the Broncos need javonte Williams and Jerry Judy to be stars stink. Stars. Yeah, well, I think the javonte Williams is. I mean, nobody broke more tackles than he did last year. The guy is efficient in the passing game, blitz pick up, can catch the ball to the backfield and we know what kind of runner he is. So I think that guy has already put the league on notice as far as stardom is concerned. Jerry Judy is a bigger question mark. Yep. Just a bigger. You got to be productive. And you got to stay healthy, which is a skill. You gotta produce even when you don't feel great and production has been in issue. So I mean, you can be, you can tweet out that I just guess I got my sprints in today and all that garbage, but bottom line you have to be productive. And obviously with a quarterback situation that we have now compared to what we've had with Jerry Judy, there are no more excuses. You can't, if Jerry Judy is in productive now, you can't say, well, I mean, look at the quarterback situation. Look at the coordinator situation. Look at what was going on. Now is the time and this is the kind of rubber meets the road place for Jerry Judy and his

"So he could look at it two ways. Do I want to continue in this, what a lot of people perceive to be a contentious relationship with Floyd Mayweather in particular, or do I just want, as you said, to continue dealing with Al hayman and showtime, but just eliminate Floyd Mayweather. I was surprised to your point, Chris, I was surprised that he said what he said this week in that, you know, we've done a lot of good things, I'm paraphrasing, but we've done a lot of good things together and who knows what's going to happen in the future because it's completely contrary to what he had indicated in the past. He had tweeted some things that mostly he had taken down, but he had tweeted some things that were screenshot that certainly indicated that he was heading in a different direction after this fight. So I guess I'm headed to the press conference later today for the fight. And I'll ask him about it. I'm sure other people are asking him about it as well. Maybe he's now undecided. I don't know. I mean, but I just thought it was weird that he completely changed course based on what he had said over the last few months this week. He is the master of the tweet then delete, which he knows was anyone is meaningless because it'll get screen grab, shared all that way. It doesn't matter if he keeps it up or not. It's still out there. I mean, unfortunate tweet at Jake Paul, you know, all of a sudden went viral even after he deleted it talking about the money. He tweeted Derek Harmon's phone number. I mean, it Derek Carmen apparently had tried to arrange for him to meet with bob. Obviously, Derek harman, the former light heavyweight contender who works for bob Aaron for top right. He tweeted his phone number. Which I thought was funny, but I was like, oh man, I believe he took that down as well, but people started calling Derek Harmon and nonstop. Let me ask you them as Keith. Even if he leaves Mayweather, if he remains tied to Al hayman, does any of it matter? There's like ultimately to get what javonte Davis wants. Al hayman and PBC are going to have to do a deal with somebody. You are not going to get next year the winner of Devin Haney versus George Campbell's without doing a deal. Either with ESPN matchroom if haney finds his way back there, whoever. You're just not going to you're probably not going to do it. You're not going to get a deal for Ryan García unless you involve golden boy and his own. It's kind of as simple as that. All the talk about Mayweather. It's almost like a red herring. Like if he's not going to agree or if Al haymon's not going to agree to do deals with somebody else, we're still right back where we started in my mind where he's looking around the PBC universe where there's nobody. Like, I don't know who we would fight in that in that sphere. If he only limits his options to that in his next fight. You and I would both love to see Davis against Ryan García before the end of the year. There's been some momentum for those talks in the past have been real negotiations for those talks in the past. Ryan's going to fight against somebody in mid July and then presumably be available for one more fight before the end of the year. Do you think that it's possible for Al hayman to do a deal with somebody else? Do you think it's necessary for Al ham to do a deal with somebody else in order to get a big fight for Giovanni Davis? To answer your first question, Chris, it might matter very significantly to boxing fans in this way if javonte Davis leaves Mayweather promotions. What has been relayed to me is that he wants these fights and that he feels that Mayweather and maybe to a lesser degree Leonard ellerbe have prevented him from getting these fights. That's true or not, is probably somewhere in between. But if he really wants those fights and then he removes the people who he feels have been obstacles toward him getting those fights, well then maybe those fights happen because he demands it and he's speaking for himself now and he tells Al Heyman, I want to fight. Let's just say Ryan García. Please go make the Ryan García fight whatever we have to do, whichever partnership we have to create to make that happen, please go do that. Now, the onus would be strictly on javonte Davis at that point. If he does leave me with a promotions and then say a fight with Ryan García doesn't happen or a fight with the winner of Devin Haney and George Campbell just doesn't happen. Now if haney beach camp boasts, he's going to be tied up obviously because he has to fight him in a immediate rematch. So that fight won't be available to javonte Davis for a while, but the Ryan García fight, Chris with June and I have discussed multiple times on the podcast is a fight that will really resonate not only with boxing fans with people outside of boxing because I think both of these guys Ryan García is in a Gatorade commercial now and he has a huge social media following javonte Davis clearly has resonated with fans based on his gate receipts and you know reasonably decent pay per view numbers. Both of these guys are unlike most boxers in that people outside of boxing know who they are and they would love to see them fight. That I think that's the fight for both guys because on the other side of it, if you're Ryan García is matchmaker, if he's going to lose, you want him to lose the fight against Giovanni Davis, where he's going to make a lot of money as opposed, you keep taking these, look, if he fights Javier fortuna, it's not an easy fight, but it's a fight that Ryan García should win. But if you take enough of those, maybe one of those times you're going to take a risk that you shouldn't take and he's going to get picked off and that he's not going to be in position to make an enormous amount of money for javonte Davis. So if I'm his people, I'm trying to guide him toward that fight. Now, of course, Ryan García see it also is going to want to fight the winner of Devin Haney George campus just because who wouldn't want to fight for all the lightweight titles, right? But I think commercially the biggest fight in the lightweight division short of the titles and it doesn't really matter if they have the titles or not is javonte Davis against Ryan García. So whether he's with me, whether promotions or whether he's away from Mayweather promotions, I don't really care about that. What I care about is making the fights for javonte Davis that we want to see and that more importantly, the fans, the people who are paying their money and who religiously pay attention to this sport, get the types of fights that they want and Ryan García javonte Davis is certainly one of those fights. Davis, you know, the message to Mayweather promotions isn't, you know, I'm gone. It should be, you know, make this fight for me or I'm gone. Simple as that. Like if you want to be in business with me moving forward, this is the fight. You've got to make one way or the other. I don't want other lesser fight because I agree with you. I mean, you're more connected to javonte team than I am, but I've gotten the sense that the criticism of his opponents has really bothered him over the years. And this perception, right or wrong, that he's avoided these tough fights, has nodded him a little bit. So, you know, I think it now becomes on him to apply the pressure and say, this is the fight I want. It's available to me. I know you've talked to Ryan García side in the past. Don't let networks get in the way, make a joint pay per view if you have to, whatever it's got to be to make something like that happen. And let's do it. Now at some point before the end of the year. But you're right. It is now, I think, on javonte Davis to be response, making it happen. It seems like he wants that. He wants to he wants that responsibility. He wants to, as he said, I believe Brian Custer take the training wheels off. And go out there and make his own fights. Last thing for you Keith, Deontay Wilder, got a statue. Good for Deontay, by the way. Good guy. I mean, really good guy and deserves it down in Alabama. And the question came up during that unveiling about his future and wilder confirmed he was going to be back in the ring at some point. He's not fought since last year when he was knocked out by Tyson Fury. What do you think the future is for Deontay Wilder? It was mid 30s now and you know, the clock is certainly ticking on how much time he has left. Yeah, he's 36 years old now, Chris will be 37 in September, I believe, or October, maybe. But.

"Have that kind of drawing power and you can fight whoever you want, they don't have to listen to sanctioning bodies, but that was a bizarre press release. The WBC released a couple of weeks ago. All right, let's move on to the fight this weekend. Also in a lightweight division. Javonte Davis, Raleigh Romero, a couple layers to this fight. But I want to start with the fight itself. Romero was discussed and it was actually named as an opponent for javonte Davis last year. He withdrew after sexual assault allegations came up against him. He is back now and this fight is going to happen on Saturday for Davis secondary title at a 135 pounds. How dangerous is Raleigh Romero in this fight? Because he's undefeated, he's got power, but you and I probably would both agree shouldn't be undefeated. He lost one fight. It looked like he should have lost one fight against the Mariners. A couple of fights ago. And. He's just so awkward. And maybe that works to his advantage because he can hit Davis with something he doesn't see coming, but it also leaves him incredibly vulnerable for some of the shots that javonte is going to throw. I mean, I think that this fight is going to be entertaining for as long as it lasts, but I don't think for Raleigh Romero, it's going to last all that long. Yeah, probably not, Chris. I wholeheartedly agree that he lost to Jackson marinades. I thought he lost as many as 8 or 9 rounds in that fight. I didn't even think it was, I didn't think it was closed. I didn't think it was controversial in that he won. But Jackson Marin is, in my opinion, clearly won that fight. Beat that as it may, here we are. They are fighting on Saturday night and. At least rolling Romero got his opportunity because, look, I mean, what happened to him late last year? He was, he was not charged with a crime, you know, and understand the woman filed a police report. And I also understand that show time Mayweather promotions, everyone involved in organizing the event, had to remove him from the fight at that time, because he was under investigation sexual assault. But at least they did the right thing and rescheduling the fight though, because in the court of the actual court, he has done nothing wrong, right? So at least he's getting this opportunity back. I mean, I'm not pretending to know what happened between him and this woman, but what I'm saying is it was thoroughly investigated by the Nevada, the Henderson Nevada police department and charges were not filed against him. So he is getting the opportunity that they should have gotten December 5th here at least. But you could also argue that he doesn't deserve this opportunity because he lost to Jackson Mariners and he's fought a relatively low level of opposition, Chris, if you go, if you go through his record, the last three opponents that he has beaten because we'll include Jackson Marin, isn't that Jackson Mariners? Avery sparrow and Anthony, none of them are punchers. So Rolly Romero might have a good chin, but we wouldn't know that because he hasn't fought a puncher and any of the fights that he would consider higher level fights for him against world ranked contenders. I don't think any of those three fighters had more than 8 knockouts going into their fights against roli Romero. He's clearly fighting a puncher on Saturday night, right? Because whatever anyone wants to say about javonte Davis, he's one of the most devastating punchers in boxing. Now look, Esau Cruz has a pretty good chin, a pretty hard head, and javonte Davis seemed to aggravate what was an existing hand injury relatively early in that fight. So we went to distance for the first time in 16 fights and all that. But we'll Rolly Romero be able to take javonte Davis's power. I'm not so sure that we have any evidence of that. But to your point, Rolly Romero is a one thing that Rollie Romero can do. He's unorthodox. He's awkward. He came to boxing very late. He fought and he was a judo fighter for a very long time and didn't turn to boxing until he was 17 years old. His skills would be, I guess, best described as unrefined, right? He is awkward. And he does a lot of things that create unusual sequences and fights, I guess, is the best way to put it. So could he catch javonte Davis in an exchange and heard him? I'm sure he's strong enough, certainly, to do that. Will he be able to do that? I don't know because I think javonte Davis is going to go into this fight. He's a smart fighter. And he knows how to pick his spots. He's not going to go in there reckless. He's not going to go in there emotional no matter what role Romero has said about him or how he has tried to antagonize them throughout the build up to this fight. He's going to go in there in a smart calculated way and try to get him out of there when the time is right. So I would expect this fight to end within 6 rounds at some point and I would expect your vontae Davis to win the fight. But roly Romero is dangerous because he can crack and you get hit on the chin the right way by a guy who can crack. Who knows what could happen. In that way, I think maybe the odds, the od are pretty wide. I think javonte Davis is about a ten to one favorite he's -1000. I think roller Romero's plus 900. That might be a little wide just based on rolling Romero's punching power. But if you're analyzing their skill sets and their level of opposition and what they've accomplished, it's probably about right. Yeah, it'll be a fun fight for as long as it lasts, but I don't think we'll be talking about the judges at the end of this fight. That's the only prediction I think that could be a 100% accurate. As we look at that one, the subtext of this matchup Keith is that it is the last fight for javonte Davis on his contract with May with a promotions. Javonte has been all over the map on his future with Mayweather promotions for months. It seemed like he was going to leave Mayweather after this fight branch out on his own. Still remain with Al Heyman, which may be the only thing that really matters when it comes to fighting outside of the PBC universe. But not be tied to Mayweather this week. You know, he was quoted as saying, maybe I'll stay with Mayweather. I have the best team. That's out there. We'll see what happens after this fight. Let's start there. What do you think the future of javonte is promotionally after this fight? It's interesting, Chris, because what you just said, everything that he has indicated leading up to this fight is that he's leaving Mayweather promotions after this fight. He hasn't come out and said this publicly, but I know that he has been annoyed by the way Floyd Mayweather has treated him publicly in that, you know, he often whispers in his ear as if he's telling him what to say. Interrupts him and says, I'll take that question and javonte Davis is going to be 28 years old in November. He's a full fledged adult. There's no reason why he shouldn't be able to for himself. I understand there have been times earlier in his career where they didn't want him necessarily to say, yeah, I'll just fight this guy that guy and that guy. And then not fight those guys because they knew that he was not going to take those paths. I understand that to some degree, but there gets to a point where someone again is an adult. I mean, there's no reason he can't speak for himself. And I think he's been very frustrated with the way Floyd Mayweather in particular has handled and publicly. You know, there's a lot behind the scenes about their personal relationship and they've had their ups and downs personally and everything. I think as far as I know, David, it's really appreciates and likes Leonard ellerbee. Leonard has been a champion of his career from beginning to end and often has said, you look, Leonard's been honest in that he has said whether people like it or not. Most people don't like it. He's been honest and saying, look, we're going to fight who we're going to fight. And this is going to make a lot of money doing it. And we're going to draw big crowds. And we're going to do he's never said we're going to do a huge pay per view numbers, but we're going to do pay per view numbers that will satisfy us and allow us to keep doing pay per view fights with trevante Davis, particularly because we're making a lot of money at the gate. He's been very honest in that way. So I understand it's rubbed a lot of people the wrong way and it has led to javonte Davis fighting on a lot of opponents that people don't want to see him fight. But from a financial standpoint, he's been very successful. So you could look at it that way too. If you're javonte Davis, you could say, look, I've been well compensated. They've developed me. He's, of course, developed himself into a draw by the way that he fights. And people have taken to him for sure..

"They would, oh, the dreaded repeater attacks, all that kind of thing. But it's just like if they were just like, we don't really care. We're just going to pay it because we're billionaires and the team is worth $3 billion. There would have been other things that would have been nice to be able to go and do here that they and they don't stand out like last year with having to get rid of Tyson javonte because if not things that you're losing, it's just opportunity costs that you're missing, where it's like those players would be helpful. And if you do believe that you should be trading future draft picks to add to the team and again, Derek white's not just of this year guy. He has a lot of years left on his deal, but that we were adding to the team in the current. There are other opportunities that would have made a lot of sense for this roster that they just couldn't really get involved and I would imagine first and foremost because of the financial implications of it because there were some players who moved from not a whole lot today that would actually be like the 9th man on the Celtics or the 8th man, maybe, depending on what you think about Tyson rotation. So those things still do hurt, even though they don't stand out as things that you know were lost because you didn't have to trade them away, but they always, I don't know. Those go across the wire and you're like, what do I like to be involved in that somehow? Right. And I think the biggest thing from that is if they're saving that money this year with the tag, you know, it's probably going to be a 15, $20 million swing. That's money that you would expect ownership to put into next year's team instead. Now that they're strictly like, if you get white here, you're giving up your first round pick, you're in wind down..

"Dozier and Volvo into those into that TPE and so now we look ahead the team is obviously has tepid excitement or enthusiasm about bold because what the hell, like I said we could see him by the end of the season, so they want to at least give us something to look forward to. But, you know, you were tweeting about it, I was tweeting about it. Everyone who covers this team in any sort of capacity was tweeting about it, which is, you know, you strip everything that I just said away. This was a salary dump. They saved, you know, depending on what you read in the neighborhood of three to $4 million. And it sets them up to get a little bit closer to the luxury tax line, but obviously there are more moves still to come in a few weeks ahead. Yeah, this is from my understanding this was just a situation where if you're going to go in that direction at some point, getting your work done on it earlier rather than later in terms of getting below tax line is a savvy play. As we saw last trade deadline when they were forced to dump Daniel ties in javonte green for essentially nothing in order to get under that tackling after they acquired every 40 and a big part of that was the fact that other teams knew that, hey, they had the mandated vendors so they kind of squeezed them and they had to throw in some cash in that deal on top of it. So now you have a couple weeks ahead with the trade line here. Whether they'll stay above the tax line from people I talked to, I think that's still in play here for the right deal, but given the where things stand as a mediocre squad right now, I think the firm likelier route for them is eventually getting out of there, but potentially by doing something small with one of these guys or someone else in the roster or maybe you achieve that in a bigger deal involving some of the veterans or maybe even some of the younger prospects that aren't playing so much right now. Do you view this as a good deal? The one that they just made or was it just like I said, it was a salary dump. That's all it was. It wasn't good. It was bad. It was just something that happened. So we haven't, I guess, I think getting off of her non Gomez is the guy who was shooting at 18% from the field of the story. So if you can get off of a guy with ad having give up draft capital when he's making $7 million, I think you have to consider that a win. Unless you were sure you could have used them maybe a blockbuster deal emerges in two weeks and his salary could have helped fill like a slot there. Realistic odds of that happening..

"If you're going to sign them to the extent you can Rex, you certainly want to protect yourself if you can. Yeah, no, absolutely. Mike, great point. You know, my alliance man, they got their first victory last week, but they were zapped. I mean, they couldn't even practice all week. They had over 20 I think 26 players out with flu symptoms. And they had COVID players and 6 more players placed on IR. I mean, it was the dismal performance, but the Broncos now are 7 and 6. And Vic banjos got this defense playing well, and they're able to run the football. They might be able to make some noise too, do you think? Yeah, and Rick, you know what's interesting to me, it just shows you how important coaching is in this league. Von Miller leaves the Bronco defense. They get better. Stefan Gilmour isn't with the patriot defense. They get better. So it shows you that player development still has a meaningful role in our sport. And I think the way you talked about this a lot Rex, when you look at the Broncos, the first thing they do is they don't lose the game. They can run the ball, javonte Williams to me is a real emerging player in the league. They got Gordon back today. We know about their defense, even without von Miller. So teddy Bridgewater is a guy that's kind of been up and down a little bit limited, but because they don't beat themselves, they're going to be in it to the end. They're sort of an intriguing team to me. And Dan Campbell was somebody that we hired in Miami Rex to be our interim coach. He has been in the foxhole with you and him. You guys have a lot of similarities. Yeah, we do. And I'll say this. I remember going across the field and, you know, usually, I'm like, yeah, I could whip that guy. I could whip all those coaches in the league. I saw him I'm like, how you doing, Dan? Dude. Yeah. We're excited that daddy is.

"You can't argue with the fact that the guy look what he did. I mean, as much as he might annoy us with some of the things that he says, these unfounded accusations and all this nonsense. There's no arguing with the fact that the guy did it better than anyone else. Whatever. However you think he avoided margarita or whatever people say. Like on our website on our website in the forums and all that kind of stuff. All the things that they've been saying for 15 years, short of all that the guy made almost a $1 billion in boxing. I mean, think about that. He fought Conor McGregor who had not boxed before and made how much money 200 plus $1 million. He just, he just fought Logan Paul and somehow convinced 1.1 million people to buy it, despite that the guy has barely boxed. They know it from a business standpoint, they know what they're doing. So I understand that while the fighter in javonte Davis is I don't doubt for a second. Davis comes from the worst of the worst in Baltimore. He comes from the worst neighborhood, fought himself out of the most impoverished situation. I don't think that he's afraid to fight anybody. I don't think most fighters are afraid to fight anybody, but they're going to follow this Floyd Mayweather blueprint and to some degree you can't blame them because this is about walking now. You want your legacy to be as strong as it could be, but this is about setting up your family for generations. And he has two daughters now. And he's being paid well for these fights. And they're going to follow this blueprint. But I do think he's got to be saying behind the scenes. He can't be fine. Javonte Davis can't be fine with people saying he's afraid to fight Ryan García. Then I'm going to sit well with a guy who comes from where he comes from. He's not afraid. Like you said, no fighter is really afraid. I'd just like to see javonte start putting some pressure on the people around him to make these fights happen because fighters can't have influence. We saw just this last month where Sean Porter, you know, said I want this fight with turns Crawford. Let's make it happen. Even the JoJo Diaz Devin Haney fight. I mean, JoJo Diaz didn't have to fight Devin Haney, like he could have waited a couple of months or three months and fought Ryan García in the first quarter of next year, but he said, look, make the money work. I'll make that fight happen. Like fighters can have influence. And if javonte wants the respect that's commensurate with him get what he gets paid and kind of his profile amongst fans like, you gotta fight one of these top guys. You gotta do it at some point. 2022, his age 28 year. That's going to be the year to do it. All right, let me look forward for a minute here and talk about the Loma check. Not necessarily what the fight against Comey. He's gonna be a big favorite in that fight. But like, where does lomachenko go now? Because you had to have a female. If take a female one and he'd been able to make one 35..

"This is a 30 nothing game with 5 minutes to go. I do just want to bring up the fact that the Broncos run game was excellent in this one. Javonte Williams, The Rookie running back was just dragging tacklers throughout this game. I don't think it's time to say, oh boy, is this cowboy defense starting to regress back to last year's form or this felt like a 2019 cowboys defensive performance, though, where they just didn't tackle well they didn't get a takeaway in this one. They did get some pressure upfield. They did get to teddy Bridgewater a little bit, but goodness. They just kind of got run over. I mean, the Broncos ended up controlling the clock for more than 41 minutes. It was a pretty good butt kicking. Yeah, and it was also surprising to see after the Miller trade because when you trade a player like von Miller away, it seems like, okay, you're kind of packing up for the season. But this was a reminder, the Broncos can hang around there, especially in an AFC that is totally chaotic right now. But yeah, it was for the cowboys it was just kind of a regressive performance. Maybe it was just one of those games that was trapped game or a womp womp game that you kind of just write off as an outlier and move on. But the inability to stop the run and to take the ball away, we're certainly reminiscent of 2019. We'll see what unfolds come up for a Dan quin group that really, they've overachieved. They just played so much better than they have the last couple of seasons and this one was a little bit yeah, a little bit of a raised eyebrow after this one. But let's go to the battle.

"And do other things. And yeah he's not useful against most opponents but like he he can serve a role when you need him to. And again. So the only time he over the only time he potentially over reaches, home is when he tries to dunk from exhaust within the paint. That's like a real overeat at times. But yeah. See, he does play Within himself and say clearly like like legitimate for for portions of the season last year didn't really was was a guy. He didn't like it's not like he came out and it was like T go over every like oh shit her come here, come that Javonte minutes like know, like he was it considered his game like if you're playing an up-tempo style and like he's pretty versatile, like I don't know. He's like a plus Defender, but he can stay with people, he can get out, he can make things happen in space. So yeah, I mean, it was funny. You say he's off of 15th, man. Like in this case, it'd be a 15th man in that, you know, was better than like half the bench last year, but that's problem. That was the problem since last year, but your 50th man was, you know, dead Your ninth player, the rotation, most games, so, but from that standpoint. So that's the bigger news here. Like, not cameras, might be all. That's like, that's all notated wants Devonte, green off signaling that, and yet, he's coming back already. And so, is he? I mean, this is something having talked to him this past season, he I asked him just about, you know, trying a few door just trying to, you know, guide the front office or at least give us input to the front office moves and now he's doing it. Whether it's, you know, jokingly or not publicly, but the green thing just to say that, I think it's dead..

"I like be high on michael gallup for sure you haven't been eighty eighth overall right now right ahead of big mike go ahead on mike gals move. Yeah and we talked about him a little bit on the lash on the previous show He came in last year. With a lot of hype. Everything worked against him. And now is the perfect post hype bilo guy. He's a baller he's really frigging good. Even last year in like really adverse circumstances like he pop for some big games. I have him so high. Who so far above is adp. It's like seventeen spots among wide receivers and like thirty spots overall. So i mean we're like he's gonna if you're using the rankings. Right now like you're getting michael gallup. One hundred percent is like a lock where it might gal go right now. If that had been healthy all of last year i would probably be like fifth or sixth round. Pick if dak had been healthy for all of last year last rankings. Change weren't talk about. Is this mid level tight. End here in this. More structural thing than a micro thing but you made the decision to move back a lot of these mid level tight ends might just sticky logan thomas irv smith noah fant dallas goddard beningo rob tanya on the move them all back and move some other positions ahead of them. I think we talked about was the gap between the elites kiddo waller kelsey some of these kind of bacteria guys will kinda stabbing is way wider than maybe it was before it sounds like you agreed with the only what was decision making process behind moving back the mid level. Titans yeah because Yeah because they're they're they really almost like. You could put them all into one tier tight ends like it might start at higby although i kinda love higby. So it's probably like the and i think tyler Seven right now among titans so it'd be like eight through fourteen and they're like almost interchangeable. So i wanted to move him down because in the top one fifty because if you're using that to draft like you're not gonna take multiple of them and you know you just take one of them and you probably take like one of the later guys you know. What would whatever a member of this big tear falls to you and so it didn't make a lot of sense to have him. I moved them all like ten spots down yet. And i would say from a structural perspective. Why we've been harping on taking waller or kill at that tooth return is because you yours crushing your opponent so hard because this gap that we're talking about a you're rolling out waller or kittle. Every we and our opponent is running out like editing room or it's just such a huge huge advantage so yeah just to look a little bit structural stuff. "Ju- bernard i think there's some question. There was some speculation. You know a jew bernard's going to be the clear cut third down back for the bucks. I don't know if i buy that. But if he is a real problem for learn for net ronald jones because if they're not getting any of the past down work and they're sharing early down they're just not a lot of meat there. I actually think leonard fournette and gio will share the past down reps and roja will be strict early down but any thoughts on how much gio is gonna play. Because i think thomas gio place is a really big indicator of how we should be valuing for net and ronald jones. Just just a bunch of scrubs in this backfield guys that they're like kinda hanging on by a thread staying in the nfl. You know I what are what are they doing. Ronald jones like up already enough already which ronald jones we can we move on. I mean he's like okay early down runner or yeah now you in in the passing it on this team. He's their best pure runner. Ronald jones is i mean. It's not a question. Really i mean. He's about equal with leonard fournette. Okay yeah that's fine. I leonard fournette in the past game though like i don't know yeah that that'd be fine but yeah it's gonna be a mess. You have for net ninety second ronald jones hundred seventeen. They should trade. For melvin gordon and just run out a our bbc of guys that people think are good but actually suck. Wow i'm going to send this corinne. Okay eagles running backs coach jim. L singleton quote seeks backfield with running backs who can fill different roles. Downplayed the idea of an every down guy. I don't wanna overreact to this. Because wants to pads on miles. Sanders is so clearly there most talented back. But i think at least leaves the light on four can gain well to have some role in maybe some big back. I don't know which one the one of the big backs to have a role as well. You slept miles sanders. Twenty nine th overall is still like mile sandwiches just a straight ban on talent type thing but did that quote from jamal. Singleton any pause it all on miles sanders. Yeah it a little bit. I mean i. I already think that because you know jalen hurts in dual threat role. You're not gonna get a lot of targets for the rb's i i don't think over the course of a full season and then if he starts losing work to other dudes again game kenneth gain. Well it's it was surprising to me when i was looking at football championship. Adp he's like a top fifty player in football guys championship. Adp like people are taking him. Yeah he's a popular like tenth round. Pick tenths twelfth somewhere in there. And i i mean i don't i can justify In my own top fifty like and he's not particularly close. I mean he's like a fifth round rookie like those guys usually compete for a roster spot. It's i did ideas likely rare. Yeah it's just so rare fifth round rookie to have a fantasy. Impacting your one. I'm just i mean are they. Are they often like on the practice squad. Yeah i mean so. I and i like kenneth game well but i think that that's awfully aggressive to be drafted. And they they just have a bunch of dudes there. It definitely is murky miles sanders. I think is clearly head and shoulders above everyone else but he does have this concern about that. he's gonna lose peripheral touches in especially in the passing game. Yeah in boston scott. It's still there as well okay. Last news two rankings. Changes jon gruden Singles out henry ruggs. I thought his quote was at least somewhat interesting. Grooten says last year he thought rugs did a really good job of opening up the field for others and that's always the rhetoric wind speed guys. Don't actually produce. They say well they. He opened up the field for everybody else but gruden said this year. We actually want to get henry. Ruggs the ball and i you know that's kind of a good idea for someone you took i. Why does she overhaul in twenty twenty you. Currently at henry ruggs one hundred and twenty first overall. He's going to be a player that like when it gets to me in like the eleventh and twelfth round like i'm i kind of want to take just like bet on a young exciting guy with a ton of athletic ability. I don't know if that's sharp or not. Though we think about henry ruggs you believe gruden that they're actually tried to give him the ball this year. I don't believe anything. Jon gruden says but i have the exact same view as you of henry ruggs where you get to them like around. Pick one twenty or whatever and it's like he's on the board so as marvin jones in you're like i'm definitely taking henry ruggs. I'm probably gonna end up with a decent amount of money. He's adp is very very low. I would anticipate ending up with a decent amount of. I don't know what he's gonna do it. His his game just doesn't really mash derek. Carr unless they're going to get him on the the quick hitters that they that they fed henry ruggs at alabama. Which is what they should do this. Go go back and watch his college tape. And see how alabama manufacturer touches for him and he was like an explosive dynamic playmaker When it when they got the ball in his hands and not have them be clear out guy. I don't know what they're gonna do but I think i'm gonna end up with a decent amount of henry. Ruggs watch henry ruggs high school basketball tape. If you want to get an idea of what kind of athleticism students total total free art. Quick rankings changes before we get out of there again haven't did a sweep of his top one fifty last week. One of the big risers was big. Mike williams of the los angeles chargers up to eighty ninth overall. Now i always like big. Mike lose because he has a really high eight meetings deep down the field and he gets red zone chances. Hunter henry is gone now. I like mike. Williams like people don't want to take him very often though. But what was your thinking behind giving a big bump too big. Might actually kind of been out on. Mike williams for the past several years But this year. I think i want to be in on him because i believe in this offense. I love the aggressiveness. That justin herbert wasn't supposed to have coming out of oregon but absolutely showed that he had Last year and and mike williams they had chances to connect last year and they just really they didn't they didn't they didn't get it done but that was also a situation where you know. Dan herber came in with like zero practice time. They truly planned on not starting him tyrod. Taylor has the fluke thing with the doctor and herbert comes in. And you know they just kind of never quite got on the same page throwing the ball to keenan out in the middle of the field. Time and time again is is is a comfortable way to play for justin. Herbert as a rookie with you know very little experience. Throw into these guys. I think with a full offseason. Full training camp We we might see. Mike williams best year yet. Yep and i like that and we didn't mentioned chargers stack but it's not cheap but i do think it has a lot of upside. I like x-l-e-a-r alex keaton. I like big mike. Gaba the ends either cook or parham. Very very late and then. I actually think that the rookie that took josh palmer will end up winning the number three wide receiver job and he's like free also other guy that you moved up a lot other wide receiver. That was mike. Gal can talk about him. Some last episode but of this dallas tv is very clearly the cheapest most affordable one. Michael gallup is still dripping.

"javonte" Discussed on Establish The Run

"Two hundred decided that was corny and so we are not. Evan has it going today. buddy go I told you that. I had to get out of here You know within like thirty minutes to go pick up my kid from camp. But i really just gotta go out back in a finish up some yard work. So let's let's make it snappy on today's show we are going to be going through some news. There's been some coachspeak that. I think we debate whether it's real or not. There's been some depth chart reporting. I think we need to discuss. And then were also gonna talk a couple of rankings changes. Evan has made in his top one. Fifty which gotta clean sweep. I believe last thursday before we get into that one to remind everyone this show is of course brought to you by our friends at underdog fantasy best way to get ready for the dfs season aka. The best season is to be in the real money. Best ball streets underdog doesn't need have the best platform to do so if you have the draft if you have the bundle you get ten dollars in if you're a new user on underdog you thirty five dollars okay. This jet staff and then we alluded to a last episode a little bit. I wanna start with denzel. Mims exclusive exclusive second-string. Listen man coaches did not draft denzel. Mems joe douglas. Did i understand that. But these coaches did not draft denzel means these coaches did give the green light on keelan cole. Five point five million. These coaches did give the green light on corey davis thirty seven point. Five million. These coaches did give the green light on the thirty fourth overall. Pick on elisa more. These coaches did convinced crowded. They didn't just say hey. We're gonna cut you. They said it could get a pay cut. And you'll be back and so there's a lot of things that make me think denzel ma'am despite his seemingly on field talent. I didn't love the way he played last year. I don't think a lot of that was on him but still. I think that this coaching staff my just got. He's not the tight of wide receiver that we one. If i had to project today the top three jets wider series. It will be three guys that i said it would be coal. Corey davis analyze more. So how are you digesting. All this stuff coming out of the jets camp at wide receiver. Yeah and i. My guess would be that it's actually It's going to be more like the The z. Receiver and jamison crowder as the slot receiver and Corey davis as a the perimeter receiver and then keelan cole. As the four because he can play like all the all the all the positions yet and then denzel mems actually as the five and but but at the same time i would have a concern that they might just end up especially early season. They end up playing all five guys that all got all the guys see action in that prevents anybody from haven't even eight target games and the targets. Just get really spread around throwing the ball. Michael carter and chris herndon in a gets a little bit too and so that would be my early season concern but Yeah i think it's gonna be corey. Davis jamison crowder and a slot and allies. More playing outside Yeah and i think that makes a lotta sense for sure as well. I would say that people are probably thinking. Always the jets. Who cares as we looted to as evans said last episode sack. Wilson is going to be fantasy friendly like people who haven't watched wilson play. He's going to play aggressively vertical through the ball. When guys are covered. He's going run and scramble around a little bit. Like i think that the jets offense is going to have way more than people think you can. Scroll back to the last episode to read more about that. Very good offensive line as well. So yeah i mean. Look i i think denzel mims in our dynasty rankings. We knocked down a bunch of knocking down in the rankings as well. I think that it's it's time for denzil wound through no fault of his own but yeah it's time to knock down a wind for sure. I think. Yeah it's just. I just think it is skill set as we mentioned on the last show. His skill set is not like a perfect fit for what michael floor is gonna wanna do. And that's get the ball into his playmaker handler. And i'm run out for catching create. You know comfortable. High percentage situations for their rookie quarterback. Okay the news topic. I wanna talk about. Is vikings tight end stuff. And i tweeted about this. I don't know maybe a few weeks ago from an article in. Espn was about earth. Miss breakout but in. There was a quote from mike zimmer. And let me read you the quote it said Basically the the articles a mike. Zimmer doesn't expect earth smith's role to be much different now than car has gone in the quote. Was i think it's a bigger role for tyler. Conklin said zimmer. He's kind of emerged as a guide. It's moving upward and with those two guys. We have a lot of weapons there before you completely brush this off. I want to say tyler. Concrete is very good athlete. I want to say in the four games. Kyle rudolph missed last year. Irv smith saw twenty targets. Todd conklin saw twenty one in the four games car. Rudolf missed last year. Sas two hundred and four verse two hundred and three although herb was coming off an injury in that first game was kind of eased back in. So i don't think it's completely meritless. I do think irv smith as a former first round pig obviously has leg up obviously is more likely to break out. But i don't wanna just completely brush this office total coachspeak. What do you think about the vikings tight end. After hearing this mike zimmer stott. Yeah i think it's of. Just mike zimmer crank a little bit But at the same time. I do think that they liked tyler. Conklin and. I think that they should he can block. He can easily solid possession receiver as you mentioned. It was a good athlete. He had pretty good production during his college career. He's been a guy that i've kind of tried to stash in some some deep dynasty rosters over the years just because i kind of believed in him as a town. I was going to get his opportunity. I think he's draftable in like tight end premium leagues and Maybe you know like in the scott fish bowl. You'll probably be rostered. And i do think he's going to take a big chunk of that kyle rudolph role but rudolf time last year. Conklin did obviously see a big bump in playing time but earth smith saw bumping planning time to and. I think that he's going to continue to be. I think he's gonna continue to ascend. This is a player who came out of college out of alabama. Very very young and has really when he's gotten his opportunities. I mean he is really flashed. And i don't see any reason that that his role wouldn't expand. I i get. It's mike zimmer you know. Clint kubiak is the guy who's running the offense now and Clint kubiak like a young guy. And i think that he's going to be a little bit more progressive than his dad was. And i think we're gonna have smith out there a lot this year and i. I would kind of ignore that that coach speak. Okay yeah we'll talk more about the tight end tears here in a second week. Rankings changes another interesting kind of. I hate beat writer speculation but i thought this was somewhat notable because it aligns with what we think and so. It's confirmation by season rhino halloran. Who we used to know from the jaguars. Beat now covers the broncos. His this was a rhino halloran speculation. The running back situation on tramonte williams. He said i think devante is the week one star do not trade up in the second round for that position without having him earmarked to be your main guy. Melvin gordon has been a complete no-show during ota's if they thought he was still the starter. I believe he would have made an appearance or to the markets reacted here evans. Monte is up to sixty second overall in. Adp on underdog. Melvin is at ninety. First arash we. That's your top one fifty but the those your top on fifteen minutes devante sixty second. Melvin ninety i but the adp is kind of correlating there as well though not as such. An extreme is confirmation by season. 'cause we kind of think devante. Far better. pick than melvin gordon. But i think it's at least some mayor. We like rhino howard. I think be right or what you think about his speculation about john. Tabor's melvin..

Clint kubiak Kyle rudolph chris herndon Todd conklin Evan Corey davis Five million melvin gordon Rudolf kyle rudolph irv smith mike zimmer ten dollars Melvin gordon fifteen minutes five million Michael carter Irv smith first game two guys
