"Familiar still in the bullpen. Lefty reliever danielle's zamora so you know hand adding a second relief pitcher from the left side to mora certainly fits. What's the mets are trying to do. But again i think it gets back to the fact of. They're trying to figure out how much they would have to pay. Trevor bauer if ultimately he decides to sign with the mets. And if it's not bauer then. They're in on the george springer conversation or sweepstakes in both of those guys are upwards of twenty twenty five thirty thirty five million dollars a year based on the reports for what they're looking to pull in for twenty twenty one so the mets continue to linger pretty much in single player that is available out there and ultimately i do think they will be players for a few of these guys by the end of the off season here in the start of spring training in a couple of weeks but next up here. We have corey kluber. Who is going to throw a bullpen. For at least ten teams who are expected to attend the workouts He was limited to only one inning in twenty twenty due to a shoulder injury and of course the shortened season didn't allow him to just rehab and bounce back like he may have been able to for normal one sixty two type of season but kluber thirty five years old. He's only thrown thirty six innings and the last two years so if anybody signs him i do believe could be a one potentially two year deal with a team option certainly going to be more on the team friendly side of things but if kluber is able to prove that he is healthy bounce back i mean a former cy young winner the nationals. Again showing interest they could slot him in at number four behind sherzer strasbourg and corbin and of course as a number four. There's a lot less pressure to be a slight or or get back to the previous standard. That kluber has set in. If you just get some innings from him some successful outings behind sherzer strasbourg and corbin. That's going to certainly add to the depth of the nationals. For twenty twenty one. The detroit tigers have signed outfielder. Robbie grossman They signed him to a two year contract worth reportedly ten million dollars plus some performance bonuses grossman thirty one years old. He's coming off a nice year in two thousand twenty. He hit two forty eight home runs eight stolen bases in fifty one games. He's a switch hitter a reliable on bass bad. he's gonna get them professional at bats. He's got an eight year career career. Average of right around two fifty is been with the astros. The twins the athletics and certainly like i mentioned a professional hitter which will continue to improve and grow some of the kids that the tigers are trying to bring up recent number. One overall pick now. Spencer torkelsson now in that organization and grossman certainly a nice veteran. That will be able to bring those guys along here and show them what it means to be a professional and how to go about their business. So i do like that. Signing from the tigers as they try to bring in some veterans to offset the youth movement that currently going through but next on the list here when it comes to reports is a lot to with this chicago cups basically the cubs are starting their sell off. We mentioned yu darvish as well. as catcher. victor karen teeny sent to the padres. We talked about that one. They recently a non tendered kyle schwarzer. Well they got four or five. Other guys who are on their last year of control could potentially be moved this off season or during the middle of the season. Next year we're talking kris bryant. Anthony rizzo javier bias. Rare as craig kimbrel and go down the list there in chicago and looking at potential destinations for some of these guys if they were to make moves. Of course contraire us. There's been reports that the phillies could be interested if they do not sign real mutoko or if he decides to go somewhere else. Trade contraire as based on his contract and would it would take to acquire him. In a trade the roi there could be even more beneficial for the phillies when it comes to kris bryant. There's been talk about the phillies as well of course him. And bryce harper go back to their youth. They're buddies they're playing here but The nationals have been involved been communicated but an outside of the box opportunity. There i think could be the atlanta braves and with the braves sitting at home seen with the padres have done the past couple of weeks knowing what the dodgers bring to the table and knowing that you know. You're a three time champ here in the national league east and blew a three one series lead in the s last year. The addition of kris bryant to the hot corner to upgrade from donaldson who left in marcello could potentially leave this off season. I don't know if austin riley's ready to step in and play every day they could be an outside suitor for kris bryant to add to their offense. Anthony rizzo where he end up. People are talking about the blue jays. They continue to try to make improvements this off season. Yes they have vlad guerrero junior there at first base but he's also played a little bit of third base. So if you bring in rizzo at first you could move ladd. Rizzo from the left side would break up there right. Handed bats that they haven't toronto shit garri l. hernandez guerrero there all right handed hitters. So if you throw rizzo into the middle of that lineup. It could create some problems for opposing teams when they try to match up when it comes to air bias. The minnesota twins are reportedly interested. Yes they have top royce lewis for the shortstop position. But depending on where you stand on roy seek could be one year away or upwards of three to four years away for making his big league debut obviously it depends on his success in the minor league system if they can get back to playing and get back to developing that would allow him to get to the show quicker but with everything going on..

mets kris bryant Trevor bauer george springer corey kluber kluber strasbourg corbin Robbie grossman grossman zamora Spencer torkelsson mora Lefty phillies victor karen teeny danielle tigers kyle schwarzer

"I think the bear should definitely give him a call. I just You know, I can't He bears getting pushed around like that. You know what? Talk early with his arthritis isn't all but you know, with Mohr, you know, they go running back that you're going to face that, you know for Nat. Dalvin Cook, You know Joon from the Packers going forward. I just think that the Bears defense, especially the terrier, um, side of it really needs to To some reinforcement. I want what you guys think. Yeah, I think that's a fair question, Stephen, because really, they were getting pushed around both both lines of scrimmage. Offense and defense one able to necessarily make plays all the time. Now, defensively, days actually came through when they needed to. But there were a lot of plays in the run game particularly put it bears where you know the back's had to make guys miss break just to get back to the line of scrimmage. So that something is going to have to continue to get cleaned up a CE faras natty stepping up and making a decision. It's not very often that I think you see our head coach. Make a move like this. And his team's three It doesn't happen a lot. Normally there 00 into oh, in three years, and then they want to make a move. But you're right, Stephen. He had had enough and they wanted to Seymour Adam's office. Yeah, that's that's really worried. What is the best case scenario because, like cowards just said it doesn't happen. The NFL wher you, khun Exhaust every possibility was a quarterback. You start the season with And be undefeated and make that change. And there's I can't imagine anybody in the city is questioning the decision to go to Nick Foles like he did today. I mean, You gave Mitch as much rope as you possibly could. And you're still undefeated atop the NFC. You've got the Colts coming into town next week. I mean, this is a great situation for the bears to be in at looking. Yeah. Can the run game get better? Certainly. They ran for 130 yards. But a lot of that is inflated because that one long 45 yard run by Mitch, you know at the end of the second quarter, where he's able to just take off and the secondary wasn't even watching him so That obviously inflates the numbers. They didn't have a great game. It's going to be a little more difficult, You know, because you're not going to have three Cohen for the rest of the season. I'd imagine Cordell Patterson will continue to get lots of Carrie's now going forward. Maybe maybe you could Finally Lynn and David David Montgomery a little bit more heavily, and we'll see more of Ryan all going forward, because you know we won't see three Cohen but All of that is to say, Hey there, three and Oh, and they now have the guy under center. I think they finally have more trust in so it's hard to be critical of this team at this point. I'm the postgame show we always like to hear from the quarterback will guess what we've got. We've got to be here from today. Coming up. Next, we'll let you hear from Mitch Strabinsky and Nick Foles will join us. "Three so far tourism to in the forth to break the tie another here with 1/5 of the home run by Javier Bias, and it's for one Cubs. Miller, the set runner goes, got a great start and wrestle lights a ball into right field base hit it all has to come over near the line. Brian's get the wave around third relay to the plate. Scoring from first Brian Rizzo into second Fiveone Cubs Dan for the second time tonight, and Indians pitcher first Clover and now Andrew Miller doesn't realize the base runner has taken off. Brian took off for second. About two seconds before Miller releases that pitch, and what it turned into was not only a great jump, but by the time the ball hits the outfield grass. Bryant's already at second base, and with that excellent speed, he's able to score easily from first space. Rizzo continues to be locked in continues to have good at bats, and he's punching the air out of second gear. Zobrist, who takes a fastball at the knees for a strike that straight talk, presented by straight talk wireless Best bones. Best networks have cost nationwide coverage on America's largest, most dependable networks. If the runner isn't going that's probably first and third along single. Bryant comes to third. But throw goes into second instead of to the relay to the plate as it is, it goes, is an RV. I double the one swinging a fly ball well hit left centerfield Davis back. And he will make the catch right up against the fence and deep left center to end the inning. But the Cubs have not Kluver out of the game, and they scored two more runs, and they've now got a 5 to 1 lead going to the bottom of the fifth. I'm Kevin Winter, and you're listening to a special presentation of Major League Baseball on ESPN radio presented by Progressive Insurance entering Game seven Indian started, Cory Clubber had given up just three runs in 30 and 1/3 postseason innings. Get in Game seven. He was touched for four runs in four plus innings. Skipper Terry Francona to take the ball like Cory Clubber three times in a serious and the other two guys, Mrs Travers, third time and our relievers to be available for that much that often. Be that effective. It's will. And I think at times tonight they prove their human. The Cubs League Game 75 to 1. But coming up next, the Indians bats finally Wake up Baseball Classic will ever.

"We keep you company until ten o'clock and then it's daily retardants to god's right here on e._s._p._n. one thousand okay how about a little baseball i hear with the cubs and the white sox the cubs win they defeat the atlanta braves by the score of nine two seven and i'll talk about this game briefly but there's bigger fish to fry when it comes to cubs baseball tell you why just a moment so the cubs win nine two seven tyler chet would start so you know that the ball's going to be in the air lot six run surrendered all earn four walks five strikeouts and somehow town would get the win he pitched five and he wins a ballgame and craig kimbrel comes in and closed the game for the cubs he comes in i know that if he sticks with his ball club for a while it's going to be a folk hero i've been watching him for a while but for fans might be new how he's just bent over like like a like some kind of creature he's bent over when he's at the stretch and is something that i've sure a lot of people will be imitating and want to be part of because kimbrell is quite the character and he got the save for the cubs as the cosby the braves by score of nine two seven however there's a little bit more fish to fry when it comes to this cubs team and that is that would the cubs at forty four thirty seven this marks the halfway mark of the season halfway point of the season for cubs baseball and so things i've talked about in the program is that when you look at this roster from top to bottom i believe that the cubs should be a lot better than forty four thirty seven now the first half does that tell the entire story of cubs baseball because there's another half to go there could be a turnaround for cubs baseball but the thing that we you and i have to talk about is how the team is under cheating lynn casper the broadcaster for the cubs senate he says the cubs are a good team going through a rut feels like i say this every year but it's kind of how it goes over six months how good are they we will known a few months the season story develops in front of our eyes but i'll chapter months away from being written i kinda like it that way sometimes from len kasper as he was tweeting about the ball club yesterday he also says that the cubs need to clean up their base running basically baseball most thirty five outs on bases this year bashed on base percentage middle of the pack in extra base percentage overly aggressive lately and it's been them especially in tight games like last night so some strong comments by lynn casper and rightfully so is that strong negative is kind of strong factual when it comes to this cubs teams the cubs which jonathan hood on e._s._p._n. one thousand of the app we'll talk about the white sox in just a moment but when it comes to to this team I don't know. what cubs nations thinking i don't know of cubs nation believes that well becomes won the world series a couple years ago so whatever you get now is gravy i know that if i were a cub fan and someone that's coverage cargo sports obviously i'm rooting for this myself u._s._c. consistency with this cubs team looking for interest illegi interesting when it comes as cubs team and forty four thirty seven looks like it did last year yes ninety five wins is great but what is the value of ninety five wins if you don't get to the mountaintop that's the whole thing with this if you are a fan that's a slacker that's watching this cubs team in thinking rural series a couple years ago joe's great and the sun's up and you know we're gonna make the playoffs that's not the esat where you're looking which looking for is to have sustained success that is one rung of the ladder but also shouldn't a cubs from russia standpoint be in a position that they can win the world series again at least to the world series one time out is not good enough here's looking at you green bay packer fan you know what i'm talking about here's an chicago bears fan his getting to the super bowl in winning is not good enough you think that while the window is open and i've been saying this for a while the window is open through twenty twenty one at the very least because i tied the cup success to the dean and his contract is twenty twenty one once it ends is he staying is he going whatever it is you want to be able to win multiple championships while the epsteins in the chair Kris Bryant count shore, Anthony Reseau Javier bias? shea hayward you go up and down that lineup al maura and it doesn't seem right that the cubs are just kind of sleepwalking through the first half of the season seems like they should be a little bit better you know also feels that way i think that jesse rogers covers the cubs for e._s._p._n. and e._s._p._n. dot com feels that way as well jesse was on kappa company earlier the question was posed to him who's to blame for the cubs lacklustre first-half pick one pick the front office because here's the reason cap bryant result buys the cottrell are basically doing their job come on all over fifteen home runs their those four basically doing their job so if the stars were not doing their job i would blame them but they're basically doing their job it's the fillon guys it's the guys that replaced stelle you brought his name before it's the guys that have replaced other guys that aren't doing the job where's that that way those wave of young players we don't see it house ally is the one where's the development and more i mean they picked up cargo off the scrap heap they're probably gonna send him back there soon if things don't work out i would put it on the front office and then i would probably put it on joe to be honest i said i don't think joe is recognized what he has in how so he has to push some buttons here you can't afford to give away outs in the bay special not that good enough to overcome those mistakes joe yes it sure it is it's absolutely on joe so there's a little given taking back and forth between jesse and kaplan earlier today can i just take you back and co fans don't mind me taking you back to the world series championship team right twenty sixteen when you have miguel montero tell us a little bit about them running with anthony reseau been zobrist addison russell kris bryant jorges solar dexter fowler jason heyward look at the rest of that roster with willson contreras of your young have your by as david ross thomas stella albert al mora chris coggin those are amongst and of course cal schwab rose on that roster as well can't tell you something the season for the cubs was about reseau it was about bryant because of how strong i third combination was it was about dexter fowler in center field it was about looking at this roster would addison russell with twenty one homers and ninety five r._b._i.'s that's what it was about yes you had a young of your bios had hundred fifteen hits that year and yes you did have grandpa ross who was thirty nine years of age and he was a factor for the cubs in that locker room and yes a twenty seven year old thomas dole was on there that roster as well but here the bottom line is is that the cubs it was about team it wasn't about well where's the bench guys how come they don't listen yeah you look at their reserves it's not strong but that's not the difference between being a winning team and not ultimately is about the guys you roll out there every day and so i always have pushback on this because jesse said the same thing to me about thomas stella in some of these favorites off the bench it's about rizzo in his about bryant it's about schwarzer it's about jason heyward it's about the core of the team yes you like to have some stronger guys off the bench but it's not the point where david bodey is a bust we i'm making excuses for this team it's underachieving it's not good enough and again there's always a second hand turn things around but the thing that that i still strikes me when i'm watching baseball is where is where is the jolt where is the energy on this team that we saw in the past where is the kind of ball club that's supposed to be able to get the job done just when you don't expect it and of course a lot of that is bajic right magic and i thought that the cubs had a magical year things went right for the team just when you don't expect it so you're looking for that magic wears a magic on this team this team looks like last year's team and by the way is that the pitching this pitching coaches the hitting coach it's the guys on the field getting the job done kit fire you can't fire davis twice about that can do that twice i know last year's all because of chili davis no launch angle and swings and all that No, it's not about that. forty four thirty seven this team is it's a good team but it's not the team that gives you that feeling that yeah they'll be able to roll over the rest of the national league not the first half of the season jesse talking about joe men he has to realize he doesn't have the twenty sixteen teams you mentioned the management you mentioned the manager there's enough blame to go around when you're playing like this when you when you have a team like this we can point fingers at everybody in that we don't tend to do that we try to single one person out but i think in this instance we can do that yesterday i was all over joe caller before you was performing was just all over management in front office you're mentioning the players i think there's enough to go around when you look at this this group from a you know take a step back and look at them i'm with you on this let's see what happens maybe the reverse their fortunes on the road weird stuff happens i think i mentioned that before the homestand began like okay there do even said this there do for five hundred homestead but they're also for winning trip so this is more than just a little slump this has been over a month but then again they went twenty seven over the course of a little bit more than a month so weird stuff happens i hope they come out of it for everyone state so you're feeling better about things everybody that watches this team but man it is a little frustrating to see how this thing is going and i've been saying all coming up just not deep enough they're just it's a it's a game welcome all i met you with darvish yesterday darvish game is like a microcosm the cubs way when he fixes something something else pops up right fixed your bullpen a little bit your offense pops up you fix your offense the base running pops of you know it's like a little bit of everything with darvish a little bit of everything with this team right now and lasting i think they have to realize what they have starting with joe and at and understand okay maybe i can't rotate eleven position players maybe i should give elmore that shot desperate times call for desperate measures that they're five games under five hundred but you are not as deep you might have to roll out.

"ESPN one thousand live from Arizona up David Catholic Danny's Letterman made the trip with me Bryant, do foes, the former Alabama linebacker is our engineer here. And we've got Chris black spinning the dial back at our studios on Michigan avenue. The first midwest Bank studio that great Jesse Rogers has now made an appearance. Hi, jess. We are back and better than ever still married happy. Yes. Yes. Hawaii was a little dicey dicey. Weather wise. In fact, start today. Honolulu had snow data data winter storm warning a huge Wayne's and some snow on the island. So I don't feel so bad last week when I was there. But I'm glad to be here. A little chilly looked surely. But you know, how it works. So we get a little bit close to Marxist thing heats up, and it's usually a beautiful time here so excited to be back for the two thousand nineteen th season cap. Be interesting. You know, I just listened to your whole interview with jed at one of the things that stood out to me. How many times did he say it's not about spring? It's about April through October. And why that's interesting to me is for example, you Darvish last year at this time. Amazed everyone because he came off that game seven of the World Series in restoring ninety seven two days into spring now maybe that led to his injury. So this is why I think jet is saying, hey, don't judge anybody here. Maybe they're going to back off Darvish for all. I know a little bit. But he does look good. But don't worry about what he does here safe thing with Kris Bryant and that shoulder that we're not gonna show up if it's going to shop at all in spring. It's gonna show up later in the season. So let's judge everybody. Now, maybe you could get a little idea from Tyler chat what in the spring. But then again last spring he didn't have these control last spring. I distinctly remember being out here. And I was standing right over there by the performance center. And Joe Madden were speaks in the back year every day. He said this might be the best rotation I've ever seen and then one of the players have tournament who it was said. Yeah, you know, I love John Lester Hendricks, and blah, blah, Chatwin might have the best stuff of anyone on the team. In our paper on the computer. He kind of did the ball movement. All that stuff. That's why they fell in love with them. But maybe we can judge his progress a little bit in the spring. But this is going to be one of those springs where other than health you're not going to be able to tell a lot. Let's just remember. And I'm a guy that a lot of years. I do look at the spring. I remember going back the first few years, I covered this team. They're closers back. Then Dave errors. I think it or Jose virus? And then the year before that had terrible springs in the carried over. So there are some moments where you can look at the spraying and judge guys but Ian, happ had the best spring of any hitter. Last year hit the first pitch out of the ballpark in Miami. And then went on and swung and missed about three thousand times the rest of the year. So we really can't judge normally judge spring normally used that. I think in particular this year, we can't either I don't wanna see Darvish throwing ninety seven three days. I really don't. I wanna see that in April not in February and March so. Look. This team's veteran team now fifth year under this manager spring should just be about getting ready for the long season. Then let's start judging them in April. So the off season in a nutshell. We have the Ricketts controversies Joe we have the Addison Russell still on the roster controversy. We have Joe Madden doesn't have a contract extension. We have no signings of note other than. Picking up the option Cole hamels of getting a couple of nondescript relievers. So you add all that together. And cubs fans go away in a minute. The cardinals got Paul Goldschmidt, Andrew Miller, the reds went out and made a couple of moves. The brewers are the defending division champ. Although they tied in the regular season. They won the title. And everyone's like, I don't know. I this team might be the window might have closed year around it every day has the window closed. The window hasn't closed but jets right when he says, this division is just stacked. That's why Vegas has nobody. Winning over ninety games KOTA has everybody in the mid eighties. And I think the over under for Pittsburgh's in the mid seventies. But no, of course, the window is not closed. Now. It's not as open as it. Once was there is an aging staff at any moment, something could happen there where you lose a couple of guys. That's why you have to be deep on your starting staff more than anywhere else. But definitely the window is not closed. It's just not the dynasty. We kind of all hoped. It would be now it's still could turn into one. You win the World Series. All of a sudden you you've made the playoffs five straight years in two World Series. That's dynasty ask. Although you really got win like maybe three to be called one. Right. So anyway. The right there. I think we forget that the playoffs are crap shoot in my mind in my mind, they're basically one for two winning World Series. If this makes sense fifteen was a bonus year, we all know that they went in sixteen. They were never going to win in seventeen. We've talked about this. That's just my opinion. Eighteen was the disappointment to me the true disappointment a year ago at this time everybody's talking about the hunger. The feeling is back all this stuff. I never thought the feeling could ever be the same as it wasn't sixteen. When you're getting that hundred eight year monkey off your back. Sixteen was a continuation of fifteen. It was just this this exclamation point on on what they were building here. Eighteen had a great feel to it. It just remember you. There was some complacency in hindsight. And to me that still stems from winning the World Series in sixteen you just never going to get that same Unger back. They're trying to get that hunger back in what are they using the failures at the end of last season. They're using that as their motivation. So ninety five wins was great. But it's the ending that felt like it was an eighty five win team. Right. It just it just did not. I mean, it's all about perspective if they were a team climbing, and I heard a recon recently say boy, we want to be a perennial ninety five win team. We'll be happy. Well, no one's happy with the ninety five win Cup team. So it's about your perspective, here windows, definitely open. But it's certainly not you know, that that we've got a half a another half decade to figure this thing out. Oh, they pretty much got to get going in the next year or two to win another title. I think we sort of all agree with that. Now doesn't mean they can't keep retooling but things are going to get real expensive around here. If they aren't already considering what they did. Or did not do this off season. Jesse Rogers is with me here in Mesa, Arizona. There's a lot of interest in what the White Sox are doing because they are in the hunt to land Manny Machado. They're still acknowledging. They're still in the hunt on Bryce Harper. Do you think in the end, I know you cover the cubs on a day by day basis? But your baseball guy. Do you think it in the end? One of those two is wearing a White Sox uniform this year. No, I went on the record about three weeks ago. I think it was about three weeks ago right around the Cup convention time that I didn't think either one was going to be a white sock. I still believe that. I think it's Phillies are going to get one. And then the other one goes to pick. You know, maybe the NATs with Harper. He goes back, maybe New York with Machado. It just depends on which one the Phillies get so no, I don't think the White Sox are going to get him. I think they were you know, obviously serious they made their offers. But they're not they're not gonna beat any offer. I just don't think they're going to do that considering you don't know when they're going to win, and there's gonna be some opt-outs, and we've talked about the last thing you want is is one of them to opt out, although it's just how many guys opt out I guess Kershaw. Did. I mean, there's so much money guaranteed money in three years. Are you going to be a better baseball player than you are now at twenty six so I my doubts about opt out guys. But anyway, if they opt out as you're getting good you've wasted three two three years. So anyway, I don't think the White Sox are going to get either one. That's just my opinion. But I do think what jed said is interesting about guys re-signing, you talk to them about it. You know guy like Nolan Aaron I don't I believe that's that is going to get done re-signing with their teams before getting to free agency Machado Harper might be the only big names over until the next CBA. We we don't know. I mean Goldschmidt could easily sound with the cardinals air Nado with Iraqi sale with the red cell was the Red Sox. And the one thing that's interesting to me is I I would have liked like to ask jed does he believe certain agents or agencies are going to be more inclined to sign up there guys like Boris. We know goes to free agency. But he changed his two. That's a great question. 'cause he's had Jake Arrieta. Who didn't get what he thought? He was going to get. We now seem Bryce Harper. So far has a good deal and area. Did get a good annual. But you're right. We'll Boris change up a student. One point. I want to make his aeronautics agent or agency also represents one havi or bias. I thought this off season with all the negative publicity. You mentioned you wanna find some positive headlines. Sign up. Hobby bias for a ten year deal eight year, whatever it is hasn't happened yet. Now a lot of times these things can happen in spring training Wilson guitarist hobby by is one of these. I mean think about it all these young guys not one has signed up to be the face or the core of this franchise beyond their arbitration years right now. And I've told you this on the road at home havi by is is the face of this team. It's no longer Bryant. It's no longer Rizzo. It is heavier bias. You wanna get some good out of this off season or this spring training you signed him up. It's the same agency is doing now. I don't know if I see it happening. But I do not tough agency. They're not just pushovers by point being the fact that they were willing to sign it or not. Oh, I think is interesting. They're open to the possibility of it. They're going to have to. Wow, havi buyers. There's no doubt he knows. They know they know trust me, they track everything they know how popular he is forget about on the field. They all popular is off the field. So wouldn't that be a great spring training? Either the season announcement, we you know, Bryant may not happen because Boris, but Javier bias why not and I can't imagine a couple of these guys don't want some security with what's going on in baseball. There might be a strike in twenty before the next. That's what I had said originally to somebody and they were debating me. Look if you can get a fair deal. I'm not saying, hey, man, we'll give you two million a year for five year. I'm not saying that you give a premier player a fair deal. Let's say we're going to sign you for six years seven years, whatever the number is why would you take the chance on the market changing the system changing an injury..

"As long as nobody comes away from it badly injured which can happen you can look at carlos quentin i believe it was but as long as no one comes away injured these things are kind of exciting not going to deny that it's fun to have a little change it's good to see the players act on emotion there's not enough of it and granted look this clean segue it was havi by acting on emotion that actually got a clint hurdle a little upset a little bit maybe the other day this there's been a beckoned forth here where i don't know how much you have read about this i forced myself to read about it because it just keeps going so i decided i couldn't ignore it completely but the other day so the pirates replaying the cubs and javier by some home runs and bias it a fly ball or pop out or something he threw his bet in a way that was clearly expressing frustration with himself for popping up or maybe not doing more damage with with a pitch now wilson controls also when i think the same game sort of physically protested a strike or a ball that was called against him and cleaned hurdle didn't like that very much but he said related to bias quote where's their respect for the game the guy hits four homers in two days so that means you can take your baton throat fifteen twenty feet in the air when he pop up like you should have hit your fifth home run i would bet that men over there referred the cubs tuck to him because i do believe they have a group over there that speaks truth to power so hurdle i my understanding is hurdled did not just come out and openly criticize javier biased just out of out of nowhere i think that he was asked to line of questions related to this now what's interesting is that the cubs and bias have have pushed back and joe madness pushed back but even in doing so saying so joe madden has a bunch of quotes here like a referring to clint hurdle quote it reveals you more than it reveals the person you're talking about whenever you want to.

"You know the league will look at it make their assessment and in we'll do what we do on our end but when something happens like that and it's no len one of your best guy's going running out for you i mean is that something you like to see like he's defending the team or does that you don't necessarily want to see nolan going out there part of the game it could be anybody nolan's part of our twenty five man roster he's as competitive as anybody he's as engaged with each with each team mate as everybody else so for me it was nolan who got intentionally thrown out so he reacted liesl left centerfield deepak can't get it up against the war german third scoring with ciller racing the third more a double for brian pugsley six four jobs radio network javier bias homered twice chris bryant three it's to knocked inish just heard as they pound the bucks thirteen to five got their first home win in the first night game at wrigley field this season once you pitch seines launches onto deep right field going back on his baiter still back warning track at the wall he caught it did he not catch it it's over the fence and god the way that baiter came back it looked like that ball ended up in his glove instead it trickled off the fingertips and over the fence yes it's a home run eric days brewers building early three to nothing lead hold off the cardinals three two two paul goldschmidt a big night as well all these swings it's another drive to deep centerfield jackson goes back what's up in this ball is gone off the wall extra.
