"Trainer. And that reboot is for Beverly Hills nine oh, two one. Oh, okay. Wow. I think I've already perhaps into it at your response to that. This has been announced by FOX. And they've put out a teaser trailer that comes under the theme guess who's coming home? And it will differ slightly from other revivals of nine oh two. And now because it features the original cast of actors mostly porch. Yes, exactly portraying quote, heightened versions of themselves. First second because we have to circle back to that. Anyway, this was announced yesterday, and it will include as you mentioned, Bradley. Most of the original cast, though, not all have signed on. Here are those that have at this point, Tori, spelling I ns hearing Gabrielle carteris Jason Priestley Jennie Garth and Brian Austin green there it's going to be a six episode series. And at this point shannen Doherty and Luke Perry have not attached themselves to the to the project, and we just learned today. Also, by the way that Luke Perry suffered a stroke at his home and is now hospitalized. And so we're not anticipating any news on his involvement beyond what we already know. But what do you first of all think heightened versions of their characters means that makes me wonder if this is going to be sort of tongue in cheek like, I just have a hard time believing that there's going to be any value. In watching a bunch of middle aged people sort of hang out not that our lives are not interesting. But, you know, being a person from the generation they will allegedly portray on the screen if not a little older, but no, right? When did they graduate high school? Indian technically speaking ninety. Graduates Donna Martin graduates that was like in the late ninety s really wasn't it. Beverly a maybe hills. So okay. So aired on the CW from two thousand eight nine eight hold on nine hundred ninety two two thousand. Okay. A sequel series than was aired on the CW from two thousand eight to two thousand thirteen. So obviously a season wasn't a year. Right. I don't know because they didn't. Did they go? I don't know. Anyway. Ledge? Okay. Moral of the story is they were roughly about the same age that I am now. And I just don't know like I mean, it's not that you can't do a soap opera that would be good. But what I'm thinking is that like they're gonna have to be sort of caricatures of themselves in order frame to watch. Right makes me wonder if it's going to be a little tongue in cheek. Maybe there's some humor involved, otherwise what is it like so and so slept with someone someone's on their second marriage. Somebody has like a, you know, a chronic illness. Somebody, you know, I don't know. I mean, the forties. There's not a lot going on. It's true. True. Yeah. You know, that kind of thing this I got back into the gym you guys. Here's what Tori spelling says of the cast of the new nine. Oh, no. It's the OG crew back together. And we're playing heightened versions of ourselves. So the fans will be pleasantly surprised though, because we will intercut that with scenes from the show. So it will be a whole on samba cast playing a heightened version of themselves. I still don't know what that means either heightened version of herself. I don't know what that means. We do have callers calling it. I don't know. Maybe they understand what that means. And we don't or we're missing something that could very well be because I've heard rumblings that it will be more reality style. But I I don't I don't understand what that means. Just tell me what the heck it means. I loved the original nine oh two. And I even watched the second version for the first couple seasons because Jennie Garth was was on that reboot. And it was fine for the first couple of seasons. It was okay. I just wish I could wrap my arms around what the heck all this means. But it feels to me like it means nothing now. Oh carries on the line. Just carry. No what we're what heightened versions of themselves mean, let's go to Kerry. Hi Carey Carey. What does this mean? Okay. I read an article this morning. I don't know where it was USA today. Something I don't know they're intimating that it's similar to the Larry David show. Okay. Where were the kind of our themselves when they go play these characters, and they you know, what I'm talking to you. Aware Kerman Susie type situation that show. That's the show. Yes. Yeah. Exactly. Like that the curb your enthusiasm where he they show them in real life. And then they show him playing the character. He plays on the show that sending to be on. Okay. This is a weird. Yeah. That's what the article said this morning, if I read it correctly, but it was something along those lines with Joseph irreverence. Thank you carry what I want. You're welcome. Thank you Kerry, when you say a heightened version of themselves. Yes, look nine oh two cast to reunite for union series. But they're playing themselves. So the actors playing themselves playing these characters oh my God. This is going to be. So.

"Morning. Hey, breaking news. Just came down. Real quickly, Jennifer. Yeah. Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been indicted on bribe and fraud charges who all right. That's gonna get good Moshe. Diane the same thing happened. Remember the guy with the patch? Yeah. He went down same way. Yeah. A lot of big issues going on all right now. Moving over to cool speaks space news with rod pile. Rod. Good morning. And I understand you're out of town pitching your book. I am, sir. How are you today? I am good. So for those that are at all wondering what this segment is about. It's all about whoring rods. New book. That's right. Oh, yeah. Of course. That's right. All right. The book is space two point zero with a nice foreword by is that both Buzz Aldrin. Yeah. All right. So tell me what the book is about. Because I haven't read it. It just arrived yesterday. It's really it. I'm calling it. The handbook of the new space age, but it's really a look at where we've come from where we've been where we are. And where we're going and space so talking about how the new space age is not going to be geopolitical like last one was at least not to major extent. It's going to be more about economics about commerce. About expiration science, but primarily probably about economics who's that's really what's driving the bus, especially with these billionaire investors coming in with their their their space programs with thrown. So it's it's really exciting time. You obviously spent a lot of time studying this, and you're one of the the well-known folks out there good reputation in the world of space writing. I want you to prognosticate for a moment. Five years from now ten years from now twenty five years from now where we going to be. Five years from now, it's not gonna look that different on the NASA side in the international space sector side. So we'll see China doing more missions to the moon be robotic up until probably the late twenty twenty s at the earliest, the United States will just be starting. We hope to get components in place for the lunar orbiting station that Nassar's putting together. But where I think where you're going to see the real change in the private spaceflight sector. That's been kind of crunching along under contract and acid to try and supply flights or American astronauts of the space station. And finally, it looks like this year that's going to start. So you're gonna see that begin to to go up, but possibly more remarkably you're going to see this explosion of commerce with Elon Musk putting up thousands of satellites for for broadband all over the world and a couple of other companies attempting to the same thing and early early private missions up to the moon to try and start exploring some of the resources up there. So that's five years ten years. We'll be MAG. Configuration to that. That's one will be looking at possibly bringing the space station down, and hopefully will be in full swing in our lunar Erbil station and setting back down to the surface for both the United States and within five years. China and the holy grail Mars man landing on Mars. Yeah. All right to guess give me a year. Okay. I'd say twenty thirty five if it's NASA and probably twenty thirty if it SpaceX. That's just a guess fairness. Okay. Now, a little bit about your book is I said we're going to hold this book for you first of all and this is not blowing smoke. Rod is a really good writer, and you are right. You make you tend to d want a lot of walk in a very true. No, it's true. Yeah. No, you're good. It's very readable stuff and it's really enjoyable. "Sausage. And like it hot. That's a really nice essence, I'll tell you a fourth grade teacher. You're Momo challenge. What's the deal? So yesterday, the kid came in off the buses and a total uproar. I had heard about it yet. They started talking to me. Talking to me about it. So I looked into it. Have kids afraid to go to the bathroom by themselves. My it. It was a little bit better. Man. How do you do this? How many let me ask you this? How many of your fourth graders? How many of their parents do you think like what percentage are really attentive? And what is the percentage that like, let's just do whatever. See that concerns me because you know, when I was growing up. We always knew the neighbor kid or the kid in class whose parents didn't care a whole lot because it gets to stay up late or they would get I'm trying to think what we do in the nineties. I don't get to watch TV all night or or drink soda or eating crappy food all day. We all knew who those kids were and gravitate towards those kids until our parents found out wouldn't let us go over there anymore. We'll tell me it's fifty fifty. So if I'm a good parent, and I say my kid can't, you know, I don't want my kid on the thing doing the Mamo challenge. And then it's like, but I want to go over a little Jimmy's house this weekend and little Jimmy grows up to be the guy did his nuts. I give you the best in the world. And what am I supposed to do? You raise your kids. Intendo that if they go to little Jimmy's house and little Jimmy starts messing around like that that they're like, I'm not down with gotta go. I hope so I mean. You have to send them out in the world. You just have to hold down. Really don't need to home school. Get a home school. And his hope for the cross your fingers. Hope for the best, Cathy. Thank you so much have a great day. That's the other thing too. Is people like say, oh, I'm gonna home school my kids? I'm gonna teach them values and fundamentals, and that's cool. Like if you want to do that. But then at some point you do have let him out of the house, and if they haven't had any exposure to folks or any. At all, let me tell you. I I went to college or some of those kids collagen there hammered, and they're in the infirmary the next day because they just they decided to experience everything on the same day because they had no exposure to anything. They didn't learn any limits. So I don't I don't know not. I'm always trending is coming back to TV with six of the original cast members. Jason Priestley Jennie Garth is earing Gabrielle carteris and Brian Austin green, and Tori, spelling, so where's Luke Perry? He's too busy. Libertarian, shannon. Doherty are not part of the equation is in Luke Perry on Riverdale. They'll Shannon Doherty's ill, right? I think she's in remission right now is she I believe so why wouldn't you do that? None of those people are really doing anything or are. They I don't think. So. So why wouldn't you come back? Anyway, part of a reboot the actors and not returning his characters. They played on the original show, though, why be highlighted versions or heightened versions rather heightened versions of themselves. How are they gonna do that? Well, this is why they don't want to do the show it probably. Sucks. Beverly Hills nine O two in return for six episode events series this summer on FOX. So they're gonna come back, but they're not going to be themselves. I can't look at Jason Priestley and Nazi Brennan. Wolf. Brandon Walsh had a job since Brandon. "Geoff Elstein is filling in and we're talking about national retro day one of those made up days. But that's today. We're talking about what era was the best between take into consideration. Well, actually, you can use whatever criteria you want. Some of the obvious ones with the music cars fashion or just general wellbeing. What what do you think is the best? Bolster my case for the late eighties being the best time ever. Okay. Just just in. This is breaking Jason Priestley Jennie, Garth irons. Earing Gabrielle carteris Brian Austin green, and Tori, spelling are set to return to FOX in a six episode event series. What does it say what years that ramp that ran from exactly when it ran from ninety two thousand I think. Okay. So it wasn't an elite eighty you're right. That's weird. So that doesn't bolster your argument even one bit late eighties early nineties, Luke Perry, which is an outrage. Okay. So what was the best era lily in Piscataway, you're on New Jersey one zero one point five? Hi, guys. Can you hear me? Oh, great. First of all, I love your show. Thanks for listening to it forever. And please tell Jeff, and I hope he feels better. We'll do. Okay. I love the fifties and the sixties. But of course, I'm the sixty six year old woman. If you had to pick one fifties sixties. It's hard on because it's late fifties early sixties before that he didn't remember anything, you know. But I remember walking. I'm I'm a New Yorker. But I remember going Bradley beach every summer and walking with my cousins by ourselves at eight and a quarter boardwalk, I'll talk about Jerry Jones and walking into every penny arcade, and and being free, and I'm sure my older cousins, we're looking at us, but the music which fabulous Elvis, it was they were asking the other day. You guys were asking what your favorite love song is and mine was killed. And you guys probably have absolutely no idea what I'm talking about. The cars the cars used to be able to my friend, Allan and I down. He could tell the Cadillacs Buicks from you guys were talking about that earlier. From the disodium. Oh, sure. Okay. Stick my boyfriend with a VW. But nowadays, you can't tell one car from another Kanye. No, I think he's still can. Distinctive. I've noticed like how a lot of the higher end cars are being mimicked by the Lauren cars. Yeah. You know, really, thanks for your call. But again, if you're gonna say the fifties all ice as polio. I mean, I think that they're okay. If I were to pick an era of and right now because I think right now is awesome. I would maybe pick the late sixties mid to late sixties because it was time of such incredible change like the burgeoning protests scene, which is so America right now, you might you might disagree with what they're protesting, but we can do that here. That's an you. Don't get you. Don't get taken. You don't get shot for it. Right. Well. You you don't get rounded up by the government right thrown into a concentration camp or whatever. The music even though it's not my music. You have to admire it changed the world. I mean, the Beatles. The Rolling Stone that kind of stuff the cars, I don't know so much about the cars. I know you were talking about the muscle cars a late sixties. I guess that would be interesting. But what about what about television in the sixties? I mean, he had like leave it to beaver. I dream of Jeannie Hogan's heroes that sixty s go back that far asked though, I mean, they're all on reruns right time. So it doesn't seem like that old. You're probably right. You know? I didn't ask you about that. Tv. Well, now by leaps I mean, you can't even compare. It's like not even fair to compare. Oh my God. I mean, just the sheer amount of the choice that you have these days. And they're so there is there is so much good stuff on. I think that you know, you can't you can't even watch. It all used to be like you only was on was on yet. Three three channels three choices that every at any given time. You know what I mean? Now, it's like just all day long. You could like watch great stuff on TV cable or satellite or whatever. Plus, you got your Netflix? Hulu streaming. Oh, yeah. What about the eighties though? What about cheers? Cheers was a great show. And that's like all right. This is where the argument comes in. Right. So yes, we have TV's better today. No one can argue with me on that. It's better they have so much more choices. And what about the era of my point? Is this was, but it's so hard to find someone who's watching the same show as you used to be like, yeah, you could everyone watched years. So we all had like this common thing that you can make jokes about it. When you walk in a room, you could buy a every day. Event communal event every every big show was it community. But now there's no such thing as that. Okay. Is today's television. Or worse. Excuse me, is it better than the seventies is a better than all in the family was a better than CBS is Saturday night lineup at all in the family Mary Tyler Moore. Newhart show. Great shows. They're great shows. No question. But there's more great. There's as many is equal shows their shows equal to those. And there's tons more than are. Is there any show on right now that has ground is as groundbreaking as all in the family? No. But there's a part of that is like the the moment in time. We're in right now. And there will be one probably because we're in such a great art is created when cultures are clashing, you know? Clashing. Oh, we are. We are. We are. What are we clashing with? Well, there's like no internally clashing. Well, you're not a classic. But know, there's there's the the right and the left are kind of couldn't be more separate now. So you know, the art will come out of that right now. We're nobody's everyone's afraid to laugh a little bit right now. So, but we're we'll get there. I love to see an all in the family type show. I think that's part of the reason why we're not that we are clashing so much because we're not even allowed to talk about this kind of stuff that all in the family like was portraying back then. Right. I don't know. Don't don't you think everything today's little partisan though. Yeah. I do that good. No. It's not good. But I think we might get some good art out of it. What's being produced? Nothing yet. I can't think of one thing. Honestly that is like that is as world changing is all in the family was right now. I can I mean, maybe there is why I'm not coming up with the right now game of thrones. I'm not a game of thrones guy. Talk changing like the the the dialogue in the country. It's changing the scope of television. Well, when the sopranos the that's where you go back to, you know. Yes. Sopranos created this prestige Stevie? Yeah. But it's not it wasn't like a movie on episodic TV like game of thrones game. Right. But the sopranos was the sopranos was the show that created the pathway for a game of thrones to get on the air. But they're nothing. No know, the idea of prestige TV didn't exist before sopranos. So why was the sopranos prestige? I don't know. That's what that's what people call the because it was like it was considered high art at the time when it first came out high art. So then what would you say the two thousand the best era? For TV. Now, I'm going to say again today's observed you because just the sheer volume and men of choice that you have and there's so much good stuff. Have you you watch shows on Netflix. Whatever have you like, I mean, I Don I've I've started a Netflix show. I watched twenty minutes I'll socks on to the next one. You're never going to be bored for content. We're it used to be if you didn't want if you didn't like three's company, you're screwed. You know, what I mean that was it? So all right. What do you think? What do you think was the best era for TV for actually movies? You know, we haven't talked about movies either music and cars, one eight hundred two eight three one zero one point five. It's two.
