And San with us there on Bloomberg radio. Meantime as the inflation fighting continues in 2023, Israel has just raised its benchmark rate to an expected 3.75%. And speaking of inflation and rising prices, if you look at agricultural commodities, they actually notch the longest run of annual gains since at least the 1990s last year. The Bloomberg agriculture spot index, which tracks 9 of the world's top selling corn products, was up about 6 and a half percent, the fourth straight yearly increase. Ethan, talk to us about earnings risk that is certainly a risk that a lot of people are calling out as it relates to the 2023 outlook. How do you think about that? How do you quantify it? And how much is it kind of in your calculus? Once you get back to that telegraphing point I made earlier, what we saw very much in 2022 was actually earnings surprise on the upside because they'd been worked down so much in terms of expectations. So when a company gets the bad news out of the way, the expectations are low, when you're on the floor, it's not easy to surprise on the upside. And we still saw 75 to 80% of companies beat expectations. So the key is for expectations get set. So I actually am not that pessimistic about earnings, the prizes on the negative side coming in 2023, simply because companies know how to play this game now. There certainly will be a threat to margins though. Even talk to us about energy. We've been talking about commodities a lot today and energy has been such a great story for 2022, one of the few areas where investors equity investors can make real money this year. Is that trade kind of played out or do you think there's more room to go there? There will be a little bit of room to go. We're still seeing quite a bit of rhetoric around the energy complex and this energy terrorism. We're seeing some statements coming out of Russia. It does seem, though, however, that Europe is getting its supply in shape at least for this winter for sure and equally for next winter. We're hearing about stocks increasing and just finding alternative sources. We have this energy trilemma and a new security energy pricing energy sustainability that all policymakers are juggling right now. It has seen that the sustainability piece has been on the back burner this year as we've been focused on pricing and security. But however, the sustainability piece is going to continue to come to the fore. So I'm very optimistic about

"Radio. The New York City police department has identifying the suspect behind a New Year's Eve machete attack that landed two cops in the hospital. The suspect has been identified as 19 year old Trevor bickford of wells Maine and his orders are saying that he doesn't have a criminal history, but he was known to law enforcement because of his social media posting. Correspondent Kathy park reports that the NYPD is now investigating a possible terrorist link in connection to those social media posts, three officers were approached by the suspect Saturday night and attacked with a machete, one of the two officers fired his weapon and struck the suspect in the shoulder. He was taken into custody and treated for non life threatening injuries at a hospital, the injured officers were also being treated for their injuries and are expected to recover. The FBI and joint terrorism task force are working to determine the motive for the attack. A lawyer for the suspect in the university of Idaho stabbing murder says his client is looking forward to being exonerated. Monroe county public attorney Jason lebar told The Washington Post on Saturday that Brian coburger plans to waive extradition to get back to Idaho to face charges. The 28 year old Washington state university graduate student is facing four counts of first degree murder in the November killings. Prosecutors say he was arrested in Pennsylvania early Friday based on DNA evidence recovered at the crime scene. Pope Francis will preside over the funeral of his predecessor, former Pope Benedict XVI. The Vatican announced the 95 year old former pontiff died Saturday at his home in a former monastery in Vatican City. It happened near Bryant park at west 42nd street and 6th avenue at around 8 45, not far from where revelers packed the streets to see the ball drop and ring in 2023. Cop saved two men got into a fight before one of them stabbed the other in the neck with a sharp object possibly scissors. The victim was taken to a hospital and police arrested the attacker. It happened about an hour before multiple NYPD officers were attacked by a man with a machete near Times Square. A naked man jumps from a Bronx elevated subway station and survives as people watching shock. Lisa Salvador has more. The New York Post reports last Friday a passer by on the street below recorded a video of a naked man hanging onto the edge of the tracks with one arm. He was kicking his legs as a number 6 trained approach the park Chester station, the man lets go, drops about 20 feet to the street, and then lands on his stomach. The NYPD says the man in his 20s was conscious and alert when he was taken to Jacobi hospital. Tampa Bay Buccaneers, quarterback Blaine, gabbert, three fellow passengers and a pilot are okay after their helicopter crash near Davis islands Thursday. Local officials say the chopper and route back to Peter O night airport just after 5 p.m. when it experienced a malfunction and crashed about 300 feet from shore. Three jet ski enthusiasts reportedly helped to get the passengers to shore, a Tampa police marine unit and a boat from the hillsborough county sheriff's office assisted in the rescue. Two earthquakes early Saturday morning felt across parts of Southern California. Here's cliff Albert. A 4.2 magnitude quake struck just north of barago spring as at four 12 a.m. Saturday, the U.S. geological service of the quake struck ten miles north of the desert humidity, and was widely fell throughout parts of San Diego and imperial counties. About a half hour earlier, a smaller quake measuring 3.5 was set at about 8 miles northwest of big bear city. There was no immediate word of any injuries or damage from either of the two quakes. The New York City police department has identifying the suspect behind a New Year's Eve machete attack that landed two cops in the hospital. The suspect has been identified as 19 year old Trevor bickford of wells Maine and his orders are saying that he doesn't have a criminal history, but he was known to law enforcement because of his social media postings. Correspondent Kathy park reports that the NYPD is now investigating a possible terrorist link in connection to those social media posts, three officers were approached by the suspect Saturday night and attacked with a machete, one of the two officers fired his weapon and struck the suspect in the shoulder. He was taken into custody and treated for non life threatening injuries at a hospital, the injured officers were also being treated for their injuries and are expected to recover the FBI and joint terrorism task force are working to determine the motive for the attack. A lawyer for the suspect in the university of Idaho stabbing murder says his client is looking forward to being exonerated. Monroe county public attorney Jason lebar told The Washington Post on Saturday that Brian coburger plans to waive extradition to get back to Idaho to face charges. The 28 year old Washington state university graduate student is facing four counts of first degree murder in the November killings. Prosecutors say he was arrested in Pennsylvania early Friday
