"And it actually leaves the sides exposed. To degrade yeah, I don't know but I think. The easiest situation. To out like this is however phones. Phones do exist in the world with with. Fingerprint sensors in the. Block buttons, Right. This is a very normal thing on android phones and this just out in that part of the case. Simple. It's done. Last question today comes from Zach Zach says I'm very tempted by the twelve mini being a person who enjoys smaller funds, but the switch from touch ID to face ide- is giving me some pulls I'm currently on the S. E.. Overall what are your experiences with the speed convenience and usefulness face eighty versus touch ID especially during covert So face I D I do I prefer it I. Love having an ipad especially. With. Wearing a mask outside and public it's terrible. It's terrible. It's terrible. and. So I. I don't really know what to say here other than if you're out and about a lot wearing a mask It's not a good experience and you probably need to go to a low security password because you'll you're going to be endlessly locking unlocking your phone. I don't go out a lot. So it doesn't really bother me that much and it's super convenient when I'm unlocking in the House and not wearing a mask. But when I'm out and I'm trying to like shop and check my shopping list on my iphone and I'm wearing a mask every single suddenly these invisible interactions that. Face idea enables that are so great. Are All gone and I'm I'm putting my password every and and it turns out I lock unlock my phone all the time when I'm at the store. And I don't notice it because it's face I d And then you wear a mask and suddenly you see all those interactions and yeah, you can change a simple password. You could turn off a screen lock. And try not to turn off your phone while you're in the store I've done that. It's not great. So. I honestly don't know what to say about this. You are going to have to adapt. If you live in a cold climate, you're going to be wearing gloves in the winter anyway. We just bad for touch ID. So. I don't know it. All depends on your circumstance and how you use your device but there is no doubt that if you're out and about. In a in a public location where masks are. Being warned you are have. have to adapt how you use your iphone. Versus. Using an easily more easily. Available biometric like touch ID or face without a mask. Like. I like face ID most. Is, foster, and so basically before covered, it was easy for me. Late, the only thing that I had an issue with was when it was like more frustrating for me to touch in. In public transport, but then apple added the express. Kat. Thing where you can set a card to your phone and you don't have to use any authentication for it you just touched by the reader and it goes super easy. Before you wouldn't even need to bring the phone up to your face done. But. We've me wearing face masks now is more annoying but. I guess you Kinda. Just have to make that decision, right? Like say she said if you if you do wear gloves in the winter and realized that you that doesn't work for you than you're used this idea just clothing in some way. Restricts the biometrics, this is not a new thing, but we're focusing on it more now because there's a new way for most people that this is happening so. This isn't a clear on cer- because really this has to be your own decision. But if you're asking for our experiences these those I think we both prefer face ID to touch ID in most situations but still like touch id to come back and have both. If Apple said to me, you can replace touch Davis, do it because when I'm at home or when I'm somewhere where I'm not wearing a Moscow whatever face at is superior to Saturday. So, I wouldn't. WanNa. "Broadcast the Superfly Hayes as our executive producer. Go wrap up an incredible week on the core is off the course. Even without Spectators on the PGA Tour, stop the Rocket Mortgage Classic at the Detroit Golf Club on the east side of the state raised over a 1,000,000 bucks. For the digital divide. Jason Lang, Well, executive director of the Rocket Mortgage Classic is joining us Live on the Metro Help. University of Michigan help guests line and what a week Jason It was unbelievable to think how many things had to happen. Make that week happened, Um, it it couldn't have turned out better in the end for us. They were great champion embracing the shambo we We end up having a second event and the other lot from exhibition on Wednesday and Came out with a great weekend as you mentioned raised up over a 1,000,000 1/2 dollars for changing the course. And they should have anything to do with the vibe here to try just stuff. Truly humbling and inspiring week what inspired you that you thought would be a major challenge inside a pandemic with no fans that actually turned out to be a bright spot during tournament week in Detroit. I think this is true of a lot of people we had to get creative on the way that we generated funds. We had to think about doing things differently. And as we thought about doing them differently, we actually found ways to do things better. And more creatively. We had our virtual teatime session that we did during the weekend Wednesday where we took players that would have played in the pro AM and put them in, like, two Rico and foursomes and put them on a resume like platform and Give the community a chance to interact with players in a way that they never would have otherwise been able to do so, And that's an example of something that will probably take forward in years to come. Even as we get back to this new normal amazing week had the Detroit Golf Club in Jason Lang Well, and his team deserve a lot of credit. The city Detroit The people of Michigan PGA Tour, the rocket mortgage team. Ah, great champion. Wonderful golf right there until the end. You know, it's a great tournament. When D Shambo has toe let the green clear. Before he drives, right? Yeah, it's really true. He's he's really something right now. Hidden really well, and then you're right. There's a lot of people today can I'd be remiss not saying They think about Dan Gilbert has a vision to bring the event here. J Farmers ability to bring that vision to life on DH. Then, like you say, you can't pick your champion and champion picks you and we're glad Bryson picked up champion on the course. And your leadership and your team championed 1,000,000 A haf bucks. Tell bridge I have a digital divide, minus Spectators in your corporate sponsors stuck with you a testament to what is good about the people of Michigan and the city of Detroit. Jason Congrats. "You're busy during the Gulf itself, but ah, again, tremendous golf being played and I think it was fitting today that Bryson had the low score of the day He ends up winning the tournament. What jumped out to you over the tournament itself? Well, this is this beautiful daughter of Thakur showed. Well, you know, we only had two individuals get into the twenties and A lot of people remember what they did last year and good 25. No one else can know the twenties last year and you've seen that week in week out, and this golf course is there's a lot of respect. Withdraw the rough up a little bit. Fairways and greens were firm and fast. I get amazing responses. Thing that jumped out at me was the amazing response. We got about this golf course. A lot of people think they're coming out here and they're going to tear it out every week getting into the twenties. But everyone walked away this week, especially with the rougher on the green. Having a ton of respect for Detroit Got that credit to cases in ski and Mark Douglas in the leadership here to try Doc up for the work that they did, Jake? You know Mendoza there, Superintendent. Um, this place showed really well and they're going to talk about this in the locker room for weeks to come. The amount of fun being had, even with the weather conditions being what they are. We were joking earlier, Jason, You know somebody that's not familiar with Michigan is going to think it's like Florida because it just so happens They've been here for two very hot weekend. You never know what next year will hold. But is that something that you get a chance to see guys were having fun, and I mean, that's what really came across to me. As I was watching on TV. Did you get that feeling from some of the guys on the tour? I really did. I really did it. Zgray comment because that's probably the thing I felt the most up there like we love this place. I mean, Russell Knox, who will be cut by a shot, or two came up to me afterwards. Look, I'm making this weekend. This is my new favorite golf course on tour. He was so much fun playing here. You didn't fairway you get rewarded. You never get a bad line he had in the RAF, especially around the greens. You get penalized, and then that's agreed who That doctor in 15 minutes on his way out, said, I have so much. I've never had so much fun this like, uh, he's like I love the sky. Of course he goes the differences around the green complexes. I had a couple of chips last year. I could've picked them up and down because erupt was down a little bit. Is this year? I 15 feet, missed him on and that was the difference of the week for him. Missed it by three. So I think we've got a good recipe for success here in your to take a look at the shot link data. Talk to the membership and see if there's any tweaks to be made that the majority of the players are like, Look, you got the makings of a gem here. Let's do this again next year. Love here and that, you know, I'm not joking. When I say this, you know, we talked to a few weeks ago. It was amazing how just across the board Everybody talks so positively about last year. I didn't think there was a snowball's chance in Haiti. Is you guys going to improve on it? And it sounded like you did, And that's a testament to you and all the great folks that that you mentioned certainly rocket mortgage itself for making this a success in 2020 Jason, we appreciate the time and always know this. If there's anything that any of us can do to help spread the word about what's going on. And some of the good things you guys were doing in the community. You reach out in any time we'll help you out anyway. Thanks, guys. I really appreciate it. Go get some rest on Jason. That's what I'm going to Dio right, finally joining us. Jason Lang Well, executive director off the Rocket Mortgage Classic here.

"Initiative aimed at ending the digital divide in Detroit by 2025. We're gonna provide access to the Internet, access to technology and access additional training for all Detroiters, and that's been a focus on every single thing that we don't actually turned on its head and said. We've got to find out a way to raise money. We don't take it so we don't have a problem with our hospitality. So we've got a shop that rocket mortgage classic dot com site. With that created by finding other ways have virtual programming to engage with professionals. And we've gotta fall classic place in September, Um the one of our sponsors have bought into and through that, same if not more money for changing the course initiative to help in the digital divide. So the benefactors of the community City Detroit, Detroit Metro area. Who wins with the Rocket mortgage classic taking place this weekend. Well, Detroit wins, You know, we've got everyone supports this event. Not only is Santa gonna stand in Detroit and that's our focus is a great city and show people that's a great place to live work and play and everything we're gonna do. We're gonna be in the digital divide. So it's going to be the spirit of Detroit in the wind, which we did find that the people in places in our dollars going to go to Detroit to provide that in an access that they need. Now I'm going forward. Biggest challenge for you, Jason and Jason Lang, Well, executive director of the Rocket Mortgage classic, taking places we can at the Detroit Golf Club on the East side of the state. He's joining us here on the healed show across Michigan. Seeing that this pandemic has been fluid almost on a day to day basis is locally and nationally. What's been your biggest challenge like going into Tournament. Weak way mentioned the word fluid. I think that's been the challenge for everybody. I think we're going to what What, what you're dealing with personally professionally. There's a level of fluidity. You have to kind of find a way to get used.

"Uh, due to some of the, you know, difficulties of years past We didn't always get the boosted membership that we got to get. But with the excitement of the tournament and the excitement that you know, you know, being one of the only tournament in Mitchell out, not one, not one of the only tournament In the city of Detroit. But one of the only tournament ever be played in a state of Michigan. And I think that just as ah, totally different aspect, and really we're just enlightening the world on some other things that our membership has already now you know you're a great guy for right and then and it is a fabulous 18 whole layout. Great people there. But you talked about enlightening the world. I thought last year, the showcase of what the Detroit go club And the Rocket Mortgage Classic did the show people about the good side of Detroit. I thought that really was the theme in your one. I couldn't agree more, and it's really I really have to give credit to allow the individual that put this tournament together. We we lost our our staple members, Andy Glassberg. He was He was really one of the pioneers and helped and he was actually a tournament chair. And he was really one of the pioneers had another gentleman path. Land really helped this whole, then come to fruition. And But again, it's really telling the story that we've always known, which is that we've got two Premier Donald Rose courses and our signature course North Course. This is right up there with the best of all. His name is Mark Douglas, Detroit Go Club President. That is sight of your too of the Rocket Mortgage Classic on the PGA Tour coverage Thursday through Sunday on the Gold Channel and CBS. You mention the city of Detroit. The rebirth I know Quicken Loans Rocket more team, the Gilbert family huge part in helping rebuild Detroit the impact for what is given back And you're too to the city. Even without fans. There will be people whose lives will be changed because of this golf tournament. Oh, absolutely. Well, the number one thing we realized with this pandemic that we've dealt with the digital divide that Benedict Uh for years and manifested itself even more so in the city of Detroit, with things like Tele Medicine, and obviously the school system, when things had to had to move to a digital platform, so One of the things that I know they're looking to bridges that digital divide to a programme called changing course. And that's going to ultimately helped to really gotta level the playing field, so to speak in terms of making sure the Detroit starts the develop and grow those resource is that it needs so that all Children can compete on a level playing field. Mark. Thanks for your time here on the hills show across Michigan. I hope they get the chance to meet you one day. Congrats on the success in your one. I look forward to a tournament. Weaken your two and I'll be well. Action on the Golf Channel on CBS this weekend. Thank you much appreciate your time. All right, Mark Douglas. Good things happening. Just feel the vibe and the chemistry. We talked to Jason Lang. Well, the executive director earlier. Taga With Mark Brian's story. There's not a negative. Only negative is we have a pandemic. All the huge radio.

We're glad that he's here with us right now. Always a pleasure, Dub. You know that. And you know, I remember like it was yesterday being out of the beautifully Trade Golf club and getting this rocket mortgage Classic, then kicked off a year ago. We had no idea what was heading our way. No, but you know the folks in charge there and they're very talented going to make sure that this tournament the second time around Goes off about age Jason Lang well, and his team, part of which will meet today worked so very hard. Last year, it became an award winning tournament for an inaugural event. That was pretty incredible. And this year they worked extremely hard as well. And then they faced all of the challenges that that all events including golf tournaments, But all events have gone through. But still the Rocket Mortgage Classic is goingto. Provide that opportunity to showcase Detroit to the world and it's all positive and they're also going to help Detroiters. They've They've changed the whole complexion of what a What hosting a PGA tournament means and what it will do for its community. As they bridge the digital divide. We've already realized and talked about the people who don't have access to the Internet. Don't have access to a lot of opportunity, And that's that's changing, or that's going to change with what they've got going on here with the Rocket Mortgage Classic, which by the way Then I take this and I said, it's Ah, today is a special. What did you call today's event? Just a nine whole exhibition, uh, getting on the back nine, and it features bubble Watson Harold Varner, the third It will be going against former world number one, Jason Day and Wesley Brian again. This would be going on the back nine from 1 to 3, and it will be televised on the golf channel. It will be good on DATs not listed in my newspaper listening here because they don't have any television coverage. Until tomorrow. But so it's good to know the golf channel today. "How are you this afternoon? Good man we got the PGA Tour is in the state of Michigan at the Detroit Golf Club, The Rocket mortgage classic. That's great news. It is. They're gonna have some beautiful hot weather this week, so it will be great over the fourth of July. A fantastic week for the state of Michigan. You know, I was talking with Jason Lang well earlier, and Brian Stewart, the PGA touring pro out of Jackson and played at Oakland University and Mark I know you traveled the World Vienna PJ rules. Official. Ryder Cups Majors Masters, the state of Michigan. When it comes to golf, and you look at what the mire LBJ Classic did and what that's grown into your one of the Dow Great Legs ve Invitational, that two person team event out of the middle of our Midland Country Club on the LPGA Tour and what the Rocket mortgage inaugural event did last year. I know it was a quick alone stop by D. C for a while, but You look at Gulf in Michigan and not to mention the senior PGA Championship that happens at Harbor Shores. We truly are one of the great Gulf states in America. Yeah, absolutely. And you're right. Unfortunately, no Spectators this year at the Rocket Mortgage Classic, because traditionally, if you think about it to the PGA Tour stops in Michigan have drawn tremendous crowds. You think about the reputation of the Buick Open hat at Warwick? Or that stadium, setting around the 17th green and the excitement that took place there and last year's tournament, of course at Detroit Golf Club was well attended. And as you mentioned here in West Michigan Domeier LPGA Classic as we've discussed before. Often has drawn more Spectators that many of the LPGA majors and so the LPGA has been anxious, Teo, you know, have the tournament here in Grand Rapids. The turnout has been great sponsor. And so you're right. This has turned out to be really a good state for spectator golf on so unfortunately, no Spectators right now, the little be certainly great to get back to a situation where we can have the excitement that comes along with the presence of those Spectators. You know, so I don't wantto we've out the the Ally Challenge the PGA Tour. Senior slash champions event at the World Hills Golf Club and ground blink for our listeners on sports Extra 13 30 that used to be the site of the Incredible Buick Open with Tiger Woods and Kid Rock and Bob Seger and John Daly. That was a great PJ stop in the Ally Challenge now is gaining some legs so good for Gulf here in the state of Michigan. Absolutely And and it's true war Kills is great Host site, Uh, perfect golf course for tour event and for Spectators, And as you say, in the last couple of years that it's been played. Has become a real prominent event for that PGA Tour champions. Yeah, we only had nice weather a few more months. Each year, we'd almost be as good as Florida. Right, Mark. That's right. A lot of golf courses. You know, there's about 800 golf courses in the state of Michigan. Michigan, certainly is. One of the top five in the country. Florida has more golf courses in any state. But Michigan has far in a way more courses than most people think..

"It up. Way we've been on this for about an hour and super flies is going like he brought. I'll tell you how does but we got trying to find this because there was no executive order a lot of confusion right on You're now Phase three on the other map, your medium risk, and I'm like, how can we be lower in Detroit? And we're trying to find online trying to get an answer. I told him Call the governor. I'll talk to her during the break. I'll put her on live I got I got the number got numbers to everybody. I know Jordan Tiger Woods, Swimmer Trump got them all. So in Superfly, are you with me? We have a risk of going to phase three. Lansing has a risk of going to phase two. If I read this correctly, and we're in face for and when she announced that schools will re open if you're in face for five, I think it's a warning to Lansing. And for some reason, the Grand Rapids region that you better not go backwards or You'll have online remote learning. That's what I think this is. So that concludes our honor investigation while I'm interviewing. All the great guests with Rocket Mortgage Classic. We now join the healed show already in progress, and you could read my column on covert 19 sports media Panic fear That's poster right now. The human showed up in that But you also say Jason Lang Wells interviews up or Dr K. Dr K. Which fits right now look over 19 from Metro help the University of Michigan health. You can read that have the huge show dot and they're free and the podcast in the interviews. Man has a stressful hour because I love my guest, right. Jason Lang will Brian Stuard Mark Douglas from Detroit Golf Club, Rod Coal or Kroll tournament director. But we had this. You know if we're moving backwards, that's Huge knows it would be some of the biggest news since the pandemic hit. It really would if we went backwards in Grand Rapids for some reason, but 24 cases so luckily again, as I read the editor's note from Fox, 17 story The Grand Rapids region moved in the face for the my safe start plan at the beginning of June, and they said an editor's note an earlier version of this story. Grand Rapids in Lansing regions moved out of phase for that has been updated to reflect that the regions are in higher risk phases on Lee, so stores and restaurants should not face changes and requirements were operating their businesses, which means The gatherings should be ableto continue right? The small gatherings I would think I will check on it and dependent on what way the wind blows. We could have a different story for you coming up in just about seven minutes..

"Be out of doors this coming week for all kinds of great activities at the Detroit golf club. Of course, it is the first rocket mortgage classic. The first PGA tournament in the city of Detroit, thanks to Dan Gilbert, Quicken Loans in his team. And they brought on board a great guy to run the whole thing. We, we have them again on opportunity to try. Sunday at noon, and you'll be able to hear the, the whole conversation along Bill. Emerson our co host and it's Jason Lang. Well, is the fine fine, executive director of this upcoming rocket mortgage. Classic in this is going to be more than just great and important golf tournament. We designed this to be more than just great golf, the whole vision, here was to come out and build this amazing campfire to try golf club. Create a great experience for fans. But it needs to be more than that. We looked at Detroit is our course you know, how do we design not only Detroit, golf club Bhave? We design experiences throughout the entire city. Our mission is to not only run. We'll class PGA tour with one hundred fifty six of the best players in the world. But to give back and creating credible impact for the wonderful missions of our nonprofits in our area, and they're doing that, and we will be a part of that with broadcasts throughout the week in on Wednesday. Especially the day of the pro-am. We'll be all be there all day long. Frank will be there, right after our show broadcasting, and then a guy will be there is midst going to be there to. I don't know. I don't think we should've asked rush to fly in. I mean he has Limbaugh one or whatever he calls his plane. He's got a fabulous Gulfstream jet. We should have had him, come in. He loves golf. They should have invited him to play in the pro-am, and we could've still squeezed his show in there from twelve to three. Well, we'll think of that for next year. So it's all new. But what a great job Jason Lang well, and his team, and there's quite a team that are putting that whole thing together. Coming up, we are thankful for what Ford Motor Company is doing not just the investing seven hundred forty million dollars to restore what had been an eyesore, which we can see from our windows here in the golden tower of the Fisher building. The Michigan central station going to be restored to its original granddaughter and create some, well, some wonderful opportunities in new destination, that will bring together civic organizations, urban planners, technologists, designers companies and communities. To create the future of mobility. Jeff Jones is overseeing a lot of that as vice president of Ford city solutions, and Jeff Jones is coming up at seven sixteen. We're looking forward to the conversation and the announcements that they have can Hayward a member of the nineteen Eighty-four university of Michigan baseball team. And now a proclaimed to be not just by us, but one of the top ten Michigan baseball stars ever in the history of the program. And most valuable player in the eighty four World Series. Ken is our cub reporter got big stories to report to us as our college baseball, cub reporter with Michigan, taking Texas Tech again this afternoon. All right. Seven thirteen. "In this episode of full stack radio. I talked to Jason link store f- about Gatsby, and how it's more than just a static site generator, this is full stack radio episode one hundred fifty. Everyone, welcome to another episode of the full stack radio podcast. I'm your host Adam weatherman states. My pleasure to be speaking with Jason Lang store of Gatsby. How's it goin', Jason? It's going. Well, thanks for having me for anyone who's not familiar with the G mind, just kind of briefly introducing yourself and talking a little bit about what you do. Sure. So I am the head of developer relations at Gatsby miles. I often joke that my actual job title is human duct tape because I ended up doing kind of all sorts of stuff over there, which is exactly what I want to be doing. I love a little bit of chaos and feel like early stage startups or just the right kind of chaos for me. Nice. But yeah, I work on a lot of community stuff. And you know docks demos. I burn a weekly livestream. You podcast podcast off like this and all sorts of fun things. Cool. That's awesome. Yeah. So the reason I wanted to have you on the show today is because Gatsby as a tool has been sort of taking off over the last little while and they start started to see seeing pop up more, and more and all sorts of different places, and I haven't actually had the opportunity to really build anything with it yet. So thought, it'd be awesome to sort of kind of learn more about it, and get the perspective, you know, that someone like me, needs to sort of get excited about the project, but I think a lot of people out there who have heard about who've seen people talking about it, but maybe don't have the full story. You know, would like to better understand, they know where Gatsby might fit into their regular sort of workflows and on the sorts of projects that they work on. So what is sort of like the pitch for gas? B I tend to pitch Gatsby as being a shortcut to just start building things. It's similar to create react up in that you run one command and there's a whole site up and running. But in addition to what create react app gives you Gatsby also gonna come with a routing solution server site service. I'd rendering solution, a plug in ecosystem, that allows you to pull data from anywhere manipulate that data and kinda use it in whatever combination you want, and then what we produce what we do static asset built, which means that you're able to. Take that whole site that you've worked on com compile it down to static assets. And then once it hits the browser you're able to rehydrate into a react at meaning that you get all the dynamism that you would want from a react up with SEO and performance benefits of static assets. Nice. Cool. So it's slightly more than an elevator pitch. But yeah, yeah, I, I kinda hear a gasping sort of talked about, as basically like a really modern react based like static site. Generators like one way that I hear people talking about it. But from what I gather it sounds like it's actually a little bit more powerful than that. Like, that's kind of like almost like a dismissive way of categorizing it, and a lot of ways, I think, and, and what I'm most curious about actually, is, when you when you sort of put it under that banner of like, okay, well, it's a sad, excite generator that sort of powered by react. It makes a lot of sort of the technical choices in tooling involved in Gatsby sound like extreme overkill to someone who doesn't who isn't totally familiar with it, right. Like graph Q L to, like builds my static site. Like what, what's the deal there? So I'd be curious to know from your perspective like what gas be does? That makes it so much. More than what you might be used to with a tool like jackal or something like that. And where technologies like graph Q L sort of slot into that. And what sort of power opportunities? Those create for you. Sure, when you're building a site with something like Jekyll, or, or, you know, other static site generators, I think, the, the tendency is to feel like a static site generator means, I'm going to write Mark down, and then I'm going to define templates and the static site. Generator, part just takes the content from markdown in inserted into the template. Guess be does do that. There is a use case where you would just, you know, right? Mark down and it gets inserted into templates where Gatsby goes beyond that traditional that traditional perception of aesthetic site generator is that we can source content from any back in source. So if you wanna pull from the file system like markdown, files, absolutely. We can do that. We can also pull from Jason, Jason files Yamil files CSV's, whatever you, whatever you're interested in we can, we can pull that in news, it, then we can go further. We can pull from arrest API we can pull from other graph. Q L API's. We can pull from headless CMS's. So we can use WordPress, as a data source or you know, some of the, the more like the new the new comers. The headless SS by default like sanity at Iowa or prison mic and we can use all of those in conjunction. So if you want to build a site that has a blog and an ecommerce store and say. Like docs, for whatever your whatever you want to document, you could use Mark down for the dogs, you could use WordPress to power, the blog, and you could use shop affi- to power, the ecommerce store and all three of those would get combined together into Gatsby data layer so that it feels the same way to use that data. No matter where it's coming from. So that's kind of where Gatsby starts to really shine is when you're pulling in when you're doing anything beyond just like, oh, I'd like to write some content and have it show up on the internet. We're really good for that use case. But you could make a pretty pretty reasonable argument that like using graph. Q L to show a little bit of text on a page might be a little overkill. Yeah. But yeah, when soon as you get beyond that base use case, and you're like, well, I wanna show my blog, but I also wanna pull in like my tweets from Twitter. Well in a jackal thing you're now completely unusual. And you've got to build that solution Gatsby you just install Gatsby source Twitter. And now you can query your tweets the same way that you would query your blog. Yeah. It's, it's really I guess, is like instead of trying to like roll your own sort of hodgepodge DIY thing for every single data source and piece together this kind of big duct tape thing yourself that idea of gasp, is you have this sort of like unified entry point to all of your data, no matter sort of where it's coming from, and it just can make that developing it

"About the the inaugural rocket mortgage classic. That'll be held at the fabulous Detroit golf club June twenty fifth through the thirtieth marking I think the first ever PGA tour event in the city of it is Paul W there'd been a lot of golf tournaments around the city, but this will be the very first golf tournament. Usually boils down to one of two things fear or laziness use gird most excuses come down to fear. Take mine for example, I don't know how foreign travel works thousand my fear of an unknown system. I was afraid I'd get it wrong and end up in trouble. Never mind that it's pretty easy to figure out how travel visas work at the time. I was perfectly happy to just be afraid and do nothing fear of failure. So much of what holds us back is fear of failure. I didn't ask people for help because as afraid they wouldn't be willing to give me a hand l. at amazing women walk away without asking for a date because as afraid they'd turn me down this cheat in me in two ways. I, I let a chance go by because as a frayed of blowing my chance. And second, I robbed myself of an opportunity to face my fears and realize they're not actually a scary as I thought you if they. Had turned me down. I'd have learned that failure doesn't hurt nearly as bad as my imagination tells me a will. In fact, almost everything I've tried that didn't work as I'd hoped felt less like abject failure in more like a minor setback with a major life lesson fear of looking foolish. I'm a bad dancer as a result. I rarely if ever dancing bubbling, not because I don't enjoy riding awkwardly when a song I like comes on. If he could see me when I'm alone, you know, that's absolutely not true. I don't dance MMA frayed that other people will think I'm a bad dancer and that I'm making a fool of myself. This really is another incarnation of the fear of failure is just a sillier version. I learned this by watching Raj law at Roman's wedding. He spent the whole night on the dance floor and barely any of what he was doing would be considered tanning in the strict sense of the word is more of a spastic undulating, slow motion seizure. If I had danced, it would have been slightly worse than what Raj was doing. And I would have been mortified that everyone. Around me was feeling sharp pains of second hand embarrassment, but Raj didn't care if he looked foolish. In fact, I think he was counting on looking foolish and everyone loved it. He was the life of the party looking foolish is a stupid thing to worry about. So stop it. Get off your excuses that aren't fear based come from laziness. We wait for inspiration. We wait for someone to do it for us. We wait until the chance has passed. Then we can talk about how much we wish we could have done it if only but learning his hard often just a little bit of extra information would remove any hesitation. We have about pursuing our goals less than an hour span researching internet speeds in countries around the world could have removed my fear about staying connected while traveling, browse too lazy to do the research Fillion gaps in our knowledge has never been easier than it is today. You have a thing magic box in your pocket. That can answer all of your questions. It's voice activated, you don't even have. Type for. Thanks. So where's the reluctance to learn? Why is the inclination to refresh our Twitter feeds instead of reading about things we know were interested in? Think about that the next time you catch yourself, absent mindedly, flipping through photos you've already seen on Instagram. Could you be using that few minutes to gather information that would get you closer to your goals? But I'm comfortable ish. Now, this is fascinating bit of research that I always try to keep in mind when I'm making decisions. We tend to crumble under the weight of choices Donald day, read Almir an Eldar show. Fear proved this with a simple experiment. They ask people to choose between a boring option man. Something interesting seems obvious right? Of course. We would all take the interesting option in half the cases, the gave one boring default option go to the library and study and one interesting option c. and author you like speak and the other half the gave one boring default option and to interesting options. See the authors speak. Week or watch a screening of a film you want to see by adding a second appealing option twice as many people chose to do the default boring thing what the actual is going on when to good options, lead people to choose the least appealing thing does point. So surprising insight into human nature because there are so many ways to be awesome. People are highly likely to get overwhelmed and choose to stay mediocre. Don't fall into this trap. Sure. Things are okay right now. But if you have big dreams, never let yourself do nothing because your life's not so bad. Now, if you gave up your trees because trying is uncomfortable than your life SOX get out there and do something, we all have dreams and we all fantasize about the things we wish we could do or that we'd rather be doing my twenty five year old self was happy to put off dreams because he was scared, lazy and unmotivated to really go out and affect change in his life. And that's the difference between me. And him. I'm ready this pose from Paris, France about one hundred thirty days into a permanent remote working at venture. The thing I dreamed about years ago, nothing really changed in my life between being twenty five. And now I just decided to stop making excuses and start making Dopp and.

Your excuse is invalid part one by Jason Lang store with Roman fitness systems dot com. Let's play a game. Think about something that you really wish was different about your life. This can be anything a new job, a trip to Europe, better philosophy, abbots now be honest with yourself here. How many steps have you taken toward that goal to day? Dissuade take if you're like my twenty five year old self. The answer is probably zero wish in one hand a few years back, I dreamed about freedom. I wanted to travel the world without worrying about money are dreamed about what life would be. Like if I could just pick up and go, I'd be on a beach somewhere. Probably my laptop against my knees, sipping umbrella drinks and raking in mad Skrela, bro. And at that time in my life, there was very little keeping me from doing exactly that I worked from wherever my laptop was, and while I wasn't making an exorbitant amount of money, I was getting by yet years crept by and nothing happened. I kept wishing for a different life and I continue taking. No steps to get where I wanted all the valid reasons we can't. It's not the right time. Tell myself. I need to build up my emergency fund and work on systems and my companies so that I can travel stress-free. What if I couldn't get on the internet, my business would fall apart. I'm not sure how it works at travel to foreign countries would if I ended up getting deported I could rattle off all sorts of reasons that the timing was wrong or that I wasn't ready to make a move yet. I'm going to do it. I promise myself, but I can't. Right now I have to consider the future, right? All of these reasons were valid to some extent. My didn't have a big emergency fund by wasn't sure what would happen to my business if I couldn't get online and I certainly didn't know how travel visas work for anything we wanna do. That's bigger than buying new shoes. There will likely be a perfectly reasonable argument for why we shouldn't do it. Valid reasons are invalid excuses. I was very right to want to establish an emergency fund before I left, but the proper solution wasn't to just put off travel. I should have been actively working to build on my -mergency fund faster. I could have spent a half hour on Google to find destinations with dependable wifi, another hour to read through the basics of travel visas, but I didn't. I just held up my reasons to put off traveling as a shield against, you know, doing stuff when we meet challenges, a reason becomes an excuse as soon as we're not actively working to overcome the challenge. If we're just stating a reason and doing nothing, we're making excuses and excuses as we all know, are the fastest way to ensure you end up bitter and unfulfilled how to avoid making excuses because no one wants to end up bitter and unfulfilled. Let's talk about how to overcome our excuses so he can not only make the things we want possible, but actually start making progress on our goals. Look for. Conflicting priorities and your goals. If you're excuses come from an actual conflict of interest, my desire to travel and my desire to have a healthy emergency fund. For example, then it becomes necessary to way our priorities and make choices that either bring her goals in line with each other or losses to come to terms with leading one goal, go in favor of another. Bring your priorities in line with each other. If it's possible, try to find a way to bring your goals in line with each other. This is obviously the best course of action because allows you to have everything you want. I won't have both a life full of travel and a fully funded emergency account travelling without the savings is a conflict of interest. So I need to bring those goals in line. If for example, I want to have ten thousand dollars in the Bank to give me a few months of living expenses. If I were to hit unexpected financial trouble, I need to solve this problem before I can travel. So I need to start saving aggressively. I'll put any unexpected income tax returns bonuses at work or any other money that comes. As in straight into savings. I can also take on an extra project to create extra cash, which could be a part time job writing to Tores for a site that pays or anything that can be done in spare time. Finally, I need a pay myself first to make sure I'm actually building my emergency fund each paycheck when the emergency account is funded, there is no longer a conflict of interests than I'm free to start traveling as you haven't made other excuses. Choose the things that make you happy. I, there's always a chance at some goals are just not going to work together. If I want to be a chef at a five star restaurant, I'm gonna face a big challenge. If I also want to chase the permanent travel lifestyle. If that's the case, you have to make a decision about which goal will bring you the most happiness in either let the other goal go or put it on a list to be revisited. Once you've completed the higher priority goal. If you're goal is don't conflict and you're not making progress, you're just being around it. If you're not in a situation where your goals are conflicting, but you're still making excuses not to chase her goals. I've got bad news. You're either a coward or a slacker. A lack of action with no real obstacles. Usually boils down to one of two things fear or laziness to be continued.
